Kambria Davis (00:05):
Hello, everybody.
Welcome to the KAYA Kommunity podcast.
Woo.
My name is Kambria Davis and I'msuper excited to have this very
first episode of the KAYA podcast.
So man, where do I start?
This podcast has been.

(00:25):
Close to seven years in themaking in the sense of I've
been wanting to do a podcast.
I've been talking about it multiple times.
I'm like podcast is coming and then justI don't for whatever reason launch it.
And yet here we are finallyafter long awaited time.
So Thank you for being here.

(00:47):
I want to give a little bit of abackground about myself and share with
you guys, just be super transparentand vulnerable about why some of
the reasons are it's taken so long.
One of the most immediate thingsthat I recognize is I have been
having sinus and allergy andcongestion issues for a long time.
For a little bit over ayear now, see, hear that.

(01:10):
And I've kind of been in my head aboutstarting a podcast with my voice, not
sounding the same as it normally would,or not being able to breathe very well.
And, you know, just.
Totally transparent.
It's like that has kind ofprevented me from wanting to do
this Thinking oh man, I'll wait.
I'll launch the podcast when I canfinally breathe normal and some hours

(01:33):
I breathe normal and some hours.
I don't breathe normal So that'sbeen in the way and I recognize like
it actually just doesn't matter.
So there's a lot of information there Ithink, you know, we can totally dissect
that and say, we'll always find a reason.
Or it's like, well, people, ifI'm going to do a podcast, I
got to have my voice like this.
And I want to be able to speakand I don't want to be sniffling.

(01:54):
And you should really make surethat the sound quality and nobody
wants to listen to somebodywho's stuffed up and sniffling.
And that's just not true.
So that's kind of one of the reasons.
Another reason is just life, right?
As a lot of you who have attended anyof the KAYA Kommunity events or retreats
or Zodiac nights close friends andfamily, even, you know, it's been an

(02:17):
interesting two years for me, a littleover two years, and quite frankly,
I just have not felt like myself.
Over the last couple years and that hasalso led me to a place of being like
how do I launch a podcast if I stilldon't feel like I'm Where I want to
be or I'm not feeling totally myselfand the reality is is we are never

(02:44):
the same person We constantly evolve.
We're constantly changing.
I'm not who I was two years ago.
I'm not who I was fouryears ago, 10 years ago.
My core, my core and my soul's essenceis the same, but my Actions or life
or day to day might be different.

(03:04):
And so waiting for me to like all of asudden come back to who I was before my
grandma passed and before I got a headon collision and got super sick and
went through a really personal breakup.
Like it's just, it's not going to happen.
Right.
It's not going to happen.
So.
Here we are doing the podcast now.

(03:24):
And this podcast is notprofessionally recorded.
I mean, MK, who's behind thecamera and the sound is killing it.
And I appreciate her and Alex gettingthis thing up and going, putting
up the little camera and at leastmaking it feel more professional.
But I want it to just be superreal and raw and genuine as it's

(03:45):
me just trying to talk to you guys.
Because I've spent a decent amount oftime engaging with people on social media
over the last several years as well.
And that's kind of just likea lot of areas of my life.
That's an area that I'm like, huh, do Istill enjoy being engaged in social media?

(04:05):
Some things, yes.
Some things I don't like, somethings I'm super over and some
things I really appreciate.
So anyway, here we are doing the podcast.
I literally think I said, herewe are four times already.
Anyway, so this is it.
This is the podcast.

(04:25):
But these are some of the things thathave happened and, you know, just to
give you guys insight again into thelast few years of my life, I've had
some really big shifts and changes.
There's been a decent amount ofloss and a decent amount of grief.
And for anybody who's experienced lossand grief on a deep level, I'm sure
you understand that it's difficultsometimes to really put in our, put

(04:46):
ourselves in a position to be sovulnerable or to really step out and
find ways of still honoring that griefand that loss and moving forward in a
direction that feels good to our souls.
Right?
So a little bit about me personally.
I, I don't even remember the dates.

(05:09):
I mean, I started working corporateAmerica probably in my mid twenties
working for Best Buy, working forVerizon and then going to school.
Initially I wanted to be a schoolteacher and teach history cause I
love history and coach basketball.
It's one of my many, many passions.
And then I realized halfway throughgoing to college, I would be fired.

(05:33):
Easily the first two days forsaying the F word too many times.
And I live in Utah and I'm a lesbian.
And so I'm like, okay, lesbianteacher in Utah, you know, 15, 20 ish
years ago also felt really scary aswell as somebody who cusses a lot.
So I was like, This isn'tnecessarily the right path.

(05:56):
And at the time I worked forjourneys, which is a shoe store
across the country in malls.
And that is kind of where mycorporate America life took off.
So I did that job and I worked forthat company for just over a decade.
And there's a lot to go into thatabout or go into about that job.
But I did that for a good chunk of time.
And so from going from, High schoolathlete, student body officer to

(06:20):
working in corporate America tocoaching basketball, playing basketball.
It's a lot of masculine energy, right?
A lot of action, a lot of doing a lotof going after things, a lot of fighting
for things, being aggressive, beingassertive, being that strong, powerful
woman, you know, I'm super competitive.
So working in a job thatwas based off results was,

(06:44):
Phenomenal for me at the time.
And back in about 2016, I think, when did I leave journeys?
2016.
So I would say probably 2015 10years into that position of I was
a district manager at the time.
I had a hundred plus employees in fiveStates working literally 75 hours a

(07:05):
week carrying two phones, work andpersonal, not to, not to even assume
that I had a personal life back then.
It was really intense.
And so 2015, I just, my soul and mybody were not in congruence, right?
My soul was calling for more.
I knew that this is what isnot working for me anymore.

(07:28):
So eventually I ended up leaving that joband that felt like almost like a divorce.
Like again, this huge transition.
So much of my identity relied in thatbusiness and that job and that position.
And I went from waking up at seveno'clock and answering 15 emails and
getting in the shower and driving to themall and just constant manage, manage,

(07:51):
manage, take care of people, take care ofpeople, do all these things to silence.
I left that job.
I was single at the time.
I left that job and gotrid of my work phone.
And overnight I went from so muchhappening all the time to total silence.
When that happens, youhave a total personal.

(08:14):
I don't even know what isthe word I'm looking for.
Like, and like a crisis, like apersonal crisis, like who am I?
What, what, what do I offer to the world?
What do I bring to the world?
Who am I without this title ofdistrict manager and without running
a corporation and all of these things.

(08:34):
And that led me to energy work that ledme to Reiki that led me to astrology.
That led me to.
things that now are a huge influenceon my life and how I live and things
that 10 years ago I would havetotally laughed at and it would have
been like, Nope, that is not real.

(08:56):
That is cuckoo, cachoo andit doesn't even make sense.
Whereas now it's totally what I live in.
So I left that company,My life got very quiet.
I spent a lot of time hiking.
I spent a lot of time reading.
I spent a lot of time just like being, going to lunch, going to coffee,
spending time with people and beingwith them and like, not being with

(09:20):
them, but being on my phone 24 seven.
Like, Oh yeah, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh.
But actually being withpeople and being present.
I had no idea how to be present upuntil seven and a half years ago.
because I was constantly managing so much.
So income energetics, incomesand astrology reading.

(09:40):
And I just start toying with it, right?
I don't, I don't just like jump all in andbe like, Oh, this stuff is perfect for me.
This is exactly where I want to be.
I just start allowing thingsto move differently in my life.
Flash forward to now and I, youknow, I incorporate astrology.
I live through the energeticsand When people are like, what is

(10:04):
your podcast going to be about?
Right?
Podcast people are like, well, what's your niche client?
What's your niche target people?
What are you going to talk about?
What are you an expert in?
It puts a lot of pressure becauseI'm like, I don't, I don't want, I
wouldn't necessarily consider myselfan expert in fucking anything.
I just have a lot of thoughts, opinions, and experiences in the world.

(10:26):
And so I just was like, cool.
I want to talk about them.
And I want to share, and I want tobring perspective to people that maybe
they're not thinking about, right?
I want to bring adifferent side to things.
I know for me, I was introduced heavilyto astrology through my brother and I knew
him and I loved him and trusted him, buthe had been in the world of energetics

(10:46):
and healing and spirituality and astrologylong before I had, but I trusted him.
So I was open and what the,the goal of this podcast, one
of the biggest desires I have.
with coming on here and sometimesit'll be me by myself, which
you guys is kind of awkward.
Like just talking into a microphoneby myself, looking at a camera, like,

(11:09):
let's just call it for what it is.
It's a little bit weird.
And I'm a Leo.
So you would think, oh man, sheloves to be behind a camera.
But I'm not.
Give me some people andit's a different story.
So I'm gonna work through that.
That was also another reason whystarting a podcast podcast Podcast see
normally they would edit that right, but I actually don't want us to edit it

(11:30):
MK I want the fuck ups because in lifewe fuck up You know, and it's okay.
Things are not what social media shows us.
We stumble over our words.
We have sinus freaking problemsfor a year and we don't know why.
Right.
We say shit.
We don't mean we say shit.
And they're like, Oh God, issomebody going to get a fit?
Like we're just human.

(11:50):
And I'm just human trying tohuman being like everybody else.
But the goal of this podcast mostlyis to just have a connection with
people and give people a differentperspective or an opportunity to talk
about life through energetics, right?
I have a lot of experience.
I have a lot of gnosis, if you knowthe word, I have a lot of inner knowing

(12:14):
about, uh, but a handful of thingslike astrology, I have gnosis around
relationships, I have gnosis aroundthe energetics of money and business.
I have a lot of experience inbeing a successful entrepreneur.
As well as a successful district managerfor a multi billion dollar corporation.
So I have this business experienceand I want to be able to offer people

(12:38):
the opportunity to move through lifeless on autopilot and our conditioning
and more through the energetics.
And I think that's really.
Kind of as I've shifted overthe last couple of years,
I've done moon ceremonies.
I've done meditations andearly morning sadhana.
I've done Kundalini yoga teachertraining and Reiki training and sound

(13:00):
healing and meditate and what is it?
Retreats.
And I love doing all of that.
And this podcast, this concept of beingable to jump on and interview people.
So that's another thing I'mgoing to bring guests on.
And I would love to talk to peopleabout what they're into and have people
ask me questions about some of theenergetics or how I live and want to

(13:21):
be able to spread this information.
So that's a little bit about me.
I wanted to kind of fill you all in.
Cause I do a lot of peoplelike, Hey, where have you been?
Hey, when's your next retreat?
When's your next event?
What's been going on for you?
And I've been in a space, right?
Some days I'm like, Hey.
Jump on and share a lot about my lifeand get on Instagram or I have the energy

(13:43):
to get out and spend time with people.
And then there are days whereI just can't and I don't.
So I just, I want to besuper authentic in this.
I want to let people into what's beengoing on and I want to be able to share
with people how your life can benefitfrom moving through the energetics.

(14:03):
Living life.
Through an energetic lens, not justwhat we've been conditioned to do.
And when I say energetics, everything is energy, right?
We have, we give energy,we receive energy.
And when people arelike, what do you mean?
You can feel when somebodywalks into a room, right?
There are certain people, they walkinto a room, you can feel boom.

(14:24):
You feel their energy, right?
Or, and it could be really great.
And you're like, Oh, Or there couldbe an energetic exchange that you're
like, Ooh, that doesn't feel right.
Or you go into a situation or astore or a job or something, and
you're just like, uh, uh, energy.
And so the other energeticsthat we have are the cosmos.
What is happening in our universe, right?

(14:44):
So I'm going to repeat this many timesthroughout the podcast, but what I want
people to think about when I start to talkabout astrology in the cosmos, because
many people will be like, it's not real.
First of all, astrologyis not a belief system.
It is a language.
It is a language of the stars thathas been around for millions of

(15:06):
years, long before any of us, okay.
People have been tracking and chasingthe moon and the stars and the sun
and using it for how they How theygrow food, how they navigate the
planet, how they navigate the oceans.
So this is not a new belief systemthat everybody loves on TikTok and
it's like, well, it's just random.
This is an age old language.

(15:29):
Second of all, if you are not sureabout astrology, And it'd be like,
uh, it doesn't make any sense.
Here's for my scientific peopleor my more logical thinkers.
Do you believe there's a moon?
Okay.
You're like, yes, there's a moon.
We can see it in the sky.
There's a moon.
Have we proof that the moonaffects the tides of the ocean?

(15:53):
If you don't believe in this, justfeel free to go to any ocean and
spend a decent amount of time thereand you will watch the tide come
in, come out, come in and come out.
So even if you don't believe in science, you could just plant your own feet on the
sand and feel the tides come in and out.
That is the gravitationalpull from the moon.
So if the moon's up there and the moonwe know for a fact affects the tides,

(16:15):
the tides of the ocean are made of Water.
Yes, you got it.
Water.
And what are we made of as human beings?
Also water.
70%?
Some would say up to 90.
Depends on who you talk to.
The majority of our body is made of water.
So if the moon and the sky affectsthe tides in the ocean when it's

(16:37):
made of water, how can we possiblynot make sense of the fact that the
moon affects us as human beings.
Talk to police, talk tofirefighters, talk to people.
I have a dear, dear friend who works inthe psychiatric unit in a hospital here
in Utah, and she will tell you aroundfull moons, they overstaff, right?

(16:58):
They add staff.
Any person working in hospitalsor gels will tell you around the
full moon, we are overstaffing.
We are prepared.
So this is not cameras making itup or all these people in astrology
and take talk or making it up.
This is proof.
And the reason being is the moonaffects the tides, which are water.
We are water.

(17:18):
The moon has an effecton us and our emotions.
And if the moon has that, and it'ssitting up there in the universe
and the sky, of course, everyother planet has some effect on us.
Okay.
So in this podcast, I'll betalking things, astrology.
I'll be talking things, relationship.
I'll be talking energetics with money.
And kind of the common theme throughoutit all will be The energetics, right?

(17:43):
How to recognize and be intentionalwith our energy as we move through life.
So I'm super grateful for everyone who'sever believed in me starting this podcast.
There's been so many of you who arelike, Oh my gosh, that would be great.
I can't wait.
You should totally do that.
And not even just with the podcast, I'msuper grateful for anybody who's believed

(18:06):
in me or has attended any KAYA eventsand has believed in this vision of KAYA,
K A Y A stands for come as you are.
And that's exactly why, barringa few things, these podcasts are
really not going to be editedbecause come as you are, me, I've got
sinuses and I can't breathe, right?
I've had a very interesting, but mostlysad and hard and heavy couple years.

(18:30):
I curse like a sailor.
And I am far from fucking perfect, but I have a good heart and I care a
lot about the human experience and Ihave watched how the energetics and
astrology and Shifting and being intune with the cycles and the rhythms
of the cosmos has super impactedmy life and made it so much better.

(18:53):
And I want to be able toshare that with you guys.
And sometimes I'll justhave a podcast because quite
frankly, I'm very opinionated.
I have a lot of fire in my chartand I got a lot of shit to say.
So great technology gave me aplatform to say all my shit.
Podcast.
So anyway, thank you all so much.
I can't wait to dive intothese things over there.

(19:13):
I also think we're going to get to a pointwhere we kind of do like a deer Kambria
and I want you guys to send in stuff.
We'll figure out a way to do itanonymously or we'll just figure out
like, Hey, I've got this situation.
I think that would be fun.
I am not a professional or an expert.
I'm just a human who's been humaningand I've had a lot of experience in
these things and I have a gnosis andI just want to share it with everyone.

(19:35):
So.
I think that's it for now.
That's like the first little episode giveyou a background of things to come Also,
don't hesitate to hit us up on instagram.
At KAYA Kommunity k a y a Kommunitywith a k because Kambria right
Kambria is with a k So I know somepeople are like, why do you do that?
It's probably superannoying but I love it.

(19:56):
I love it.
So hit us up on Instagram or you canemail at come as you are at gmail.
com and let me know like what topicsor things you're curious about.
What would you like me to talk about?
Do you have any questions?
And then I'm super excited for bringing ondifferent guests who will have different
themes and we're just going to take thisdown the road and see what comes of it.

(20:17):
Thanks for tuning in y'all.
Super, super grateful to be here.
And I guess that's it.
Have a great night.
