Kambria Davis (00:05):
Hey, welcome back y'all.
Okay, so thank you if you listenedto the first KAYA podcast episode.
Just giving a little bit of background andletting me introduce myself to everyone.
And now we're going tojump into episode 2.

(00:26):
It is March 20th, 2024.
And I know it is not typical practiceto say the date on a podcast.
One, I don't really do anything typically.
Two, it's actually a reallyimportant day and that's what this
whole podcast is going to be about.
So, Merry Equinox everyoneand Happy New Year.

(00:47):
As you can see or hear, not seebecause you cannot see me, as you
can hear, I am congested and a littlebit of stuffy nose and backed up and
I just find it comical that writewhat I know to record a podcast.
All of the Sinus issues come about.

(01:08):
So that's super awesome.
But I wanted to talk aboutthe actual New Year, right?
The astrological New Year, which is today.
Spring equinox.
This is the day of new beginnings.
This is the refresh, the new start.
This is the ending of a fullyear cycle of the sun transiting

(01:32):
every single sign of the zodiac.
And coming to completion.
So basically take the sameenergetics or the same concepts
and principles of January 1st formost of us and apply it to today.
As I reflect on this new year, youknow, I did another podcast episode

(01:54):
talking about January 1st and, uh,we'll air that down the road, but.
I look back and I'm like, New Year'sEve and New Year's Day was never like
this huge thing for me personally.
Don't get me wrong, I like to hang outand definitely for a period of my life
there was like a tradition of doing.
late night movies and pizza with myfamily or my nephews and my nieces.

(02:18):
And I love that.
Go out at midnight and, you know, light off your little poppers
or bang your pots and pans.
But I don't ever recall like, okay, cool, this is the beginning of a new year.
This is the beginning.
Everything is going to change.
Here's my goals.
Here's how it goes.
And now that I understand astrologyand energetics, it makes perfect

(02:39):
sense for those of us in the,you know, northern hemisphere.
And the way that the season's run here, especially Utah, January 1st is often
cold, snowy, outside, cloudy, overcast.
I mean, it's winter, right?
It's literally winter and everything.

(03:02):
is turned off.
Everything is dormant.
The trees are dormant.
Humans are dormant.
Animals are dormant.
And so it's really kind of this polaropposite energy on January 1st to be
like, ending of a cycle, new year, new me.
Let's put out our goals for the year.
Let's have this new refreshingfocus, this new start, right?

(03:25):
When the energetics around usand the cycles of the cosmos
and the cycles of nature.
are actually in a very dormant, sleeping, restful state.
So that's kind of why maybe for someof you, again, I know that this is
not a blanket statement, but maybefor some of you, January 1st and

(03:48):
setting goals at New Year's resolutionshasn't really landed for you.
And you find yourself in the middle ofFebruary, putting on a shame snuggie.
for not reaching your goals or not havingdone enough for what you wanted to start.
I know a lot of people dovision boards on January 1st or
around that time for the year.
And again, if that feels right for youand for your life, amazing, keep doing it.

(04:11):
May I also invite you if you haven'tdone a vision board or you haven't
set new year's goals, or you haven'treally paid much attention to maybe
something in your life that you wantto start, you want to initiate, you
want to bring into life, Now, today isthe most amazing opportunity to do so.
So, Spring Equinox, right, the energyis going to be between the 20th,

(04:32):
21st, and it happens every year.
It's the New Year.
So, I know for me personally Ilet my kids sleep in and we're
gonna go grab a little bite to eatand we're gonna celebrate today.
We're gonna do some journalinglater, pulling some cards,
do a little sound healing.

(04:53):
And we're going to celebrate becauseit is the astrological new year.
So when I think about springequinox, what does it represent?
It represents new, right?
A new year, new life.
You just start to look aroundhere and you can start to see the
greenery popping up from the ground.
But what is it?

(05:13):
It's actual balance.
It's pure balance between lightand dark and this is a new year
which gives us a fresh perspectivewhich gives us this rebirth, if you
will, and it's finding the balance.
It's finding the balance betweenthe masculine and feminine.

(05:35):
How much action versus rest we take.
Is there balance in our relationships?
How much are we giving?
How much are we receiving?
So, I invite you to spend a littleintentional time today on this spring
equinox, on this new year, sittingwith yourself and, and maybe listing
out some of the things in your life.

(05:56):
What feels in balance?
And what feels out of balance and thethings that are not equal light to
dark, you know, daylight to moonlight.
Look at those things and take a minuteto just try to focus on the areas that
you want to bring more balance to.
Another exciting part about this timeof year is the sun has moved from

(06:19):
Pisces and closed out that seasonand now it has moved into the fiery,
passionate, action oriented Aries.
Which is another amazing thing thathelps us this time of year, because
whether you're in Aries or not, we areall feeling the energetics of Aries.
for this next season.
And Ares are the peoplewho take the action.

(06:43):
They are the ones on the front line.
They are the ones jumping off thecliff first, saying, let's go, right?
They're the super spontaneousfriends that are down to do anything.
And they are the go getters.
They will start something, they will havean idea and they will put it into action.
So not only just today, but througha typical, and I want to put an

(07:06):
asterisk there through a typicalAries season is really a very
powerful time in your personal life.
Or your business life to start somethingnew, to launch a project, a KAYA podcast,
. We were very specific and intentionalwith today being the first launch.
And you know, for those ofyou that are listening, you

(07:27):
got two episodes in one day.
You know, I knew what this dayand the energetics would bring.
And so we were very, very intentionalabout putting this podcast out today.
So business owners, creatives, artists, musicians, anybody, anything
that you've been wanting to start.
Wanting to launch, wantingto put out into the world.

(07:48):
Now is a beautiful, powerful time.
And I bet, because this happened to me,so maybe some of you are like, well,
I know what it's not ready, right?
Y'all, I'm here to tell you, if youlisten to episode one, I have, I think
I could go back in my phone and inmy notes, I have podcast topics to
talk about from potentially, I thinkseven to eight years ago, years.

(08:14):
So I get it, right?
But the reality is.
The cliche saying, you'reactually never really ready.
Sometimes you just gotta put it out there.
And sometimes you just gottatake the leap, take the risk,
and see where it all lands.
And that is exactly what Aries Seasonand Spring Equinox, well, that is exactly

(08:34):
what Aries and Spring Equinox is about.
It is about rebirth.
Renew.
For those of you that did a revisionboard and set goals at the beginning
of the year, this is an amazing timeto circle back and look at those.
Now, the reason I said asterisks aboutAries season is this Aries season

(08:55):
is packed full of a lot of intenseastrological movements, which will
prove to be pretty intense astrology.
And up until now, we haven'thad any planets in retrograde.
It's been a little bit more of asmooth sailing in the cosmos above us.

(09:15):
But, okay, we have the equinox today.
This is beautiful, wonderful energy.
And then, don't forget though, wehave a Mercury retrograde coming up,
which means we are in the pre shadowphase, meaning we're starting to
kind of feel this retrograde come up.
And on top of that, wehave eclipse season.
Now, it's no surprise that we haveeclipse season, as we have it twice

(09:38):
a year, but this one is going tobe on the Aries and Libra axis.
So Aries is about self, personal, right?
Personal routine, personalego, and Libra is about others.
So it's the me versus the we, andthat's what this entire eclipse
season is going to be about.

(09:59):
So lunar eclipse first is in Libra, thewe, and we will finalize it out with
the solar eclipse in Aries, the me.
So over the next, I would say about fiveish weeks, Maybe just take some breathers.
Take some breathers in betweenconversations with others and be

(10:21):
very, very aware of the conversationsyou're having with yourself.
Communication and conversations don'tjust happen with others outside of
us, they happen in an inner dialogue.
And it's very important that theinner dialogue that we are having
through this eclipse season is alsoleading us in a direction that is
going to propel us into the life thatwe desire and that we have designed.

(10:44):
Not put us further.
So if you follow astrology, if you'reinto it at all, you know, sometimes
when there's what I like to call bumpyastrology coming up, it can be fearful.
People are like, okay, you know, like I joke, like just stay
inside for the next five weeks.
Right.
Don't talk to anyone.
Hunker down.

(11:04):
That's not, that's notreally what we're saying.
What we're saying is just, you know, likeif you're on an airplane and, which is
so funny that I'm using this analogy, cause I'm like super terrified to fly.
But usually the pilot will come onand say, Hey, you know, we're going to
experience some turbulence coming up.
If you could just remain in yourseats and put your seatbelt on.

(11:25):
Now, does that mean that the wholething is coming crashing down?
No, but the pilot knows what is coming.
And so, uh, you know, let's everybodyon the plane know what to expect
versus if you're just like sleeping andthen all of a sudden out of nowhere,
boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, right?
All this turbulence that can besuper jarring and super upsetting.

(11:49):
So that's kind of what the next five ishweeks of astrology is going to have for us
is we're going to have Mercury retrogradein the same exact time as we have eclipse
season and a lot of planetary movementsare are kind of pushing and pulling
against each other and when we have aneclipse on the Aries Libra axis it is

(12:11):
going to bring up a lot of things for us.
It's going to bring up a lot of issuespersonally and in relationship dynamic.
So today's kind of like the fun, lighthearted, celebratory Beautiful, easy
launch something day, put somethinginto the universe, start something new.

(12:34):
This doesn't have to meanlike go launch a podcast.
Maybe it's just like, okay, I want toget back to having my daily routine
or go on a daily walk or with mychildren, I want to have this, or with
my partner, I want to start this, right?
Don't overcomplicate it.
As you're listening to this podcast, whatever things have come into your
brain Trust that and go with that.

(12:56):
This is going to be a reallybeautiful day, powerful day.
And don't hold on so tightly to thingsbecause I happen to know that I'm
watching a podcast on spring equinoxand the beginning of the astrological
new year, and I am so, so, so excited.
And I know that over the next fiveweeks, maybe I don't record any
more episodes because of all thethings happening, or maybe I do.

(13:20):
So we each have our own individualpath, but just know that there's going
to be some buppy astrology coming up.
Eclipse seasons are beautiful.
They're actually one of myfavorite astrological events
because I feel like they kind ofare anchors in our lives, right?
Kind of like when something big happens, you're like, Oh, I knew exactly where
I was when this event took place.

(13:42):
That's the energy of eclipses.
They will bring things to the surface.
Things will move very quickly.
Things will shift.
And it is one of those periodsof time that for me personally, I
have really learned to completelysurrender to and allow whatever
needs to shift and move in my life.

(14:04):
And What has happened when I learnedto surrender was things that I thought
I wanted were removed and the thingsthat I truly wanted and truly needed
showed up during eclipse season.
So see if that works for you,see if that feels an alignment
for you, and if that resonates.

(14:24):
Also, to touch on a little bitof the Mercury retrograde, it
will go retrograde April 1st.
Now, I love all of the memes aboutMercury being in the microwave
in Gatorade, and I love it.
I love that people aretalking about astrology.
So, I'm going to take thismoment real quick to just
give you a real brief rundown.
Mercury going retrograde does not meanthat your life is going to fall apart.

(14:49):
What it means is retro review, reassess.
It is a period of time that theuniverse is asking us to reflect on
our lives, reflect on what has comeup, review the things we're doing.
So if you're signinga contract, review it.

(15:09):
Make sure we don't wanna be onautopilot during me Mercury retrograde.
In fact, one of the best ways I'veheard Mercury retrograde explained is.
When Mercury is going directand it's forward, right?
And it's moving.
I mean, it doesn't technically movebackwards, but it looks like it, right?
So when we're moving, uh,forward, we're driving forward.

(15:32):
It's like being in a car.
If you are in drive, you can get to yourdestination and it's fairly easy to drive.
Now, if you have to go to that samedestination, but you have to drive there
in reverse, That is probably going tocause some other issues for you, right?
That is what retrograde means.
It means that you are still goingand working towards that direction,

(15:53):
or working towards that goal, orgetting towards that destination.
However, you are now needingto drive there in reverse.
Does that mean that youare doomed to crash?
Nope.
Does it mean you have to slow down?
Yep.
Does it mean you're going to start tonotice and pick up on things that maybe
you didn't see before because now you'relooking out every window and you're going

(16:15):
much slower and you are paying far moreattention to what's happening around you?
Nope.
Yes.
So nothing to be scared ofwith Mercury retrograde.
Again, another astrological event thatin the beginning I was like, Oh God.
And I kind of bought into thiswhole Mercury's in retrograde.
And yes, it does shut down things.

(16:35):
Plan your travel ahead of time.
Double check your emails, backupyour pictures, do anything that
has to do with technology or meansof communication, means of travel.
Absolutely.
But doesn't mean everything'sgoing to fall apart.
No.
And yes, when we are asked to reviewour lives to take a reflection
period, it's not always easy.
Sometimes we reflect and we'relike, Oh man, I don't know if I'm

(16:58):
liking what I'm seeing, right?
We're driving in reverseduring the retrograde.
So that's all coming up.
Let me know in the comments, ifyou want me to do a full episode
on Mercury Retrograde and dive evendeeper into that, how you can prep,
great things to do during that time.
I would love to do that andclear up some of the other stuff.
So that's going to be it for today, y'all.

(17:20):
Thank you so much for tuning in.
Again, I am so happy to be doinga podcast, launching it today on
The Spring Equinox, I'm literallyrecording this episode today on the
Spring Equinox Because I wanted tojust put out the right energy And I

(17:41):
wanted to just have an episode fortoday because it's such a big day.
KAYA podcast gets launched I cannotthank y'all enough for showing up,
supporting, and everybody who's helpedalong the way Contributed along the way,
believed in me, pushed me, challengedme, and And said, came to my house and
