Religion has caused me too much trauma.” Her words reflect what many are silently wrestling with—painful experiences in the name of God that leave us limping away, unsure if we can ever return.

But as we unpack Joseph’s story, we see that trauma and disappointment don’t have to have the final say. Joseph endured betrayal, slavery, false accusations, and years of waiting. Yet through it all, he held onto humility, forgiveness, and trust in God’s timing. His life shows us that even when we aren’t in control, God’s sovereignty is at work.
