Doddz (Andy Evans) is a digital artist with a penchant for the “magic” of augmented reality. He gives his joyful static creations a kinetic lease of life rendered in 3D. The British artist initially got exposure by making custom AR jackets worn by rap and pop stars ranging from Drake to Billie Eiilsh. Lucrative brand work at this intersection of fashion and music, such as his Adidas x Giggs collaboration, is what enabled him to make his own art with greater freedom. It also led to him founding the creative studio, Dime, in 2019. In this episode Doddz reveals how he uses genAI in his creative process, imparts career advice across art and personal branding, and explains what’s needed to make extended reality art go more mainstream
