First up—the Russian Language Conversation Table is happening today, Monday, November 17, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in room 14E-304. And, the LIDS Computing & Sustainability Seminar featuring Patrick Beukema from the Allen Institute for AI is also today at 4 p.m. in Building 32, room 155. He'll discuss "EarthSystem: A foundation for solving global crises." This past weekend, the MIT Men's Cross Country team competed in the NCAA Regionals at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in New Hampshire. While specific results aren't available yet, the team has been training hard all season. Looking ahead, the NCAA Division III Championships are set for Saturday, November 22, at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Let's cheer on our Engineers as they aim for national success! On Monday, November 17, the EAPS Writing Retreat is happening from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in room 54-820. If you're working on a paper or thesis, this is a perfect opportunity to focus and make progress. Also, the "Remembering the Future" exhibition is open at the MIT Museum. It's a fascinating look at the history of Earth's climate from the last ice age to the present. A great way to spend an afternoon! This week in Cambridge, expect a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures ranging from the low 40s to high 40s Fahrenheit. Friday brings a chance of rain, so keep an umbrella handy. Overall, it's a typical November week—cool and crisp.
