**The Parksland Retreat Story**   Parksland Retreat, founded in 2017 by Dustin Parks, also known as Dusty, began with a primitive campsite and has since grown into a vibrant escape nestled in the Talladega National Forest. Dustin, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Oregon State University, found his true calling in nature. After years of traveling the world and a successful career at Honda, he retired in 2022 to dedicate his life to managing Parksland Retreat.   Situated on 40 private acres surrounded by pristine forest, Parksland offers a range of accommodations, including a cabin, bell tents, and a wood-fired sauna. With hot showers, a mountain creek, and hiking trails, guests can immerse themselves in a tech-free, serene environment.
