Ohio State has launched the AI Fluency initiative, providing resources for faculty to integrate artificial intelligence into their teaching. The new "AI Fluency at Ohio State" newsletter offers updates and showcases how instructors are incorporating AI in learning spaces. In support of this initiative, Ohio State and Google Public Sector hosted Data and AI Day at Ohio Stadium, granting students, faculty, and staff access to advanced AI tools. The Board of Trustees has recognized five new Distinguished University Professors, the highest faculty honor at Ohio State. This title is held in perpetuity and acknowledges exceptional scholarly achievements. The Ohio State University Airport is hosting a free community open house on Friday, September 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. Attendees can tour the terminal, meet aviation professionals, and view aircraft displays.
