(00:10):
So today we want to continue on in our series of talking about the different systems of the body.
So we've been talking holistic health. And when you approach health through
a holistic lens, basically what you're looking for is to heal the systems and
let the body take care of itself.
You have whatever system is not working well, if you give it what it needs to
(00:33):
heal and then it can take care of itself, that's how holistic medicine works.
So today I want to talk a little bit about the digestive system.
So Dr. James called it. So the digestive system is anything from the lipstick to the toilet paper.
So it's everything from your mouth, your teeth is actually part of your digestive
(00:54):
system, your tongue, your esophagus, your stomach, that then goes into the small
intestines and the large intestines and the bowels.
It also includes the liver and the gallbladder.
And to some extent, the pancreas is involved. It helps with your body to deal with sugars.
It falls more into the endocrine system, but we're going to kind of touch on
(01:19):
it because if you can't digest sugars, then... And that's the thing with all
of the systems of the body.
They're kind of interdependent because your digestive system gets fuel that fuels your body.
And the circulatory system moves that feel throughout the body.
So all your systems are connected and, and interdependent.
(01:40):
So but if you think of a system, generally, if you've got an issue,
it's what it's one system, and you want to like deal with that help that system
be healthy, so that it can heal whatever the issue is.
So when we talk about different systems of the body, generally most of the systems
of the body have one standout. This is the formula.
(02:03):
So whenever you're thinking you have an issue with a system of the body,
you go to the one formula.
So for the digestive system, it's Colser.
So Colser was actually developed by Dr. James while he was living in Oregon for a few years.
And he, He, while he was up there, he got a letter from his mom that his dad
(02:24):
was kind of sick, but it's nothing to worry about, just a little high blood pressure and stuff.
And so Dr. James was experimenting with herbal formulas, and he hadn't finished his degree yet.
So he was experimenting and trying different things, and he asked if his dad
would be willing to take some herbs.
So he put together a rather simple formula. At the time, it only had four ingredients,
(02:48):
goldenseal, myrrh, cranesbill, and marshmallow root.
And he said it should help with his high blood pressure.
Dr. James always felt like he was very inspired because what his parents weren't
telling him was it had nothing to do with blood pressure.
But the formula he came up with for his dad really doesn't do anything for blood pressure.
(03:08):
What it does do is it's an amazing tonic and helped heal the digestive system.
So his dad got over it and they're like, okay, we weren't totally honest.
He was having severe colitis and ulcers.
And the colcer basically helped heal those for his dad.
(03:29):
So anytime there's any digestive issues.
Kolsar is our go-to. So since the original formula, he's added Oregon grapefruit to it.
So you've got Golden Seal and Oregon grapefruit. They're sort of like tag team
champions. The two of them work really well together.
Golden Seal is a super amazing tonic that heals all sorts of things.
(03:53):
It speeds healing to places, but it also soothes and helps your body to function properly.
So cold and sale and Oregon grapefruit together really make a great, a great team.
So the myrrh and the cranes bill are amazing because they help with moving out the bowels.
Cranes bill is amazing because what it does is anytime you get along the large
(04:20):
intestines, you can actually get food that kind of gets stuck along there.
You know, like, you know, waste gets stuck along the walls of the large intestines,
which means you're not digesting food, you're not getting all the nutrients from your food.
And you've got stuff sitting there and it's fermenting and rotting and it causes all sorts of issues.
(04:40):
And Cranesbill actually will help
release that from the sides of the intestines and help to move it out.
If somebody's got some major issues, a lot of times they will suggest doing
an enema with Cranesbill tea simply because it will release that goo and the
stuff that's stuck on the side and help you digest better.
(05:02):
So that's colso. Colso is really, really helpful for any digestive issue.
Colso is where you want to start.
So the next formula talking about eliminating waste is clean lax.
So clean lax is basically an herbal laxative that's very gentle and soothing.
It's not addictive. Some laxatives can actually be addictive.
(05:24):
Clean lax is not. We do have people that take it all the time, but dr.
James strongly suggested if you feel like
you need to take clean lacks often then look
for the underlying cause clean lacks is a band-aid and it will help get rid
of stuff but if there's something going on some some other issue it's just going
(05:46):
to continue to be a problem and clean lacks can keep it moving but look for
the problem you want to solve the problem you want to like get off of Cleanlax.
You want to get off of Colser or whatever it is you're taking.
The reason we make these is so that you don't have to take them,
but they're available when you need them.
(06:07):
So the next formula, oh, I wanted to mention about Cleanlax.
We do have like paraplegics and people that have issues that do take it all
the time, simply to keep things going because they don't have,
you know, because of the paralysis in their lower extremities,
these bowel movements are not easy and stuff, and Cleanlax helps with that.
But again, that's when you can't really solve the problem.
(06:31):
But if you have something and you know you can solve the problem,
solve the problem instead of
just taking Cleanlax over and over and over again and keeping on with it.
So our next formula is colonic caps. So Dr. James developed colonic caps.
Because his wife was having some bowel issues and elimination issues.
(06:55):
And so she was taking a lot of psyllium husk and apple fiber and grapefruit
fiber, trying to keep her bowels moving because of the issues she was having.
So we worked together and he developed this formula, colonic caps,
basically for her to help her move things out.
(07:19):
Basically, it's mostly fiber. So you really want to remember to drink a lot
of water with the colonic caps when you're taking it because it's fiber.
It's going to bulk up and it will attach to things as it moves through.
One of the wonderful things that we did when Dr.
James was coming up with the formula is he added bentonite clay to it.
(07:42):
When I was younger, some friend of my mom's gave her some bentonite clay and water.
And they said, you know, this is a miracle cure kind of thing,
and it'll save you from everything.
And so anytime we were sick, mom made us drink this bentonite clay and water.
And it was nasty and you know it
did make it so i didn't want to play sick but it's the
(08:06):
the bentonite clay is really amazing as far
as going into a bowel formula
simply because what the bentonite clay does is it
will it attaches to toxins heavy metals
it absorbs them and kind of wraps around them so then your body can like pass
them out sometimes they can get stuck in different places and it will also help
(08:29):
to absorb some of that sticky goo that you end up on the inside of your you
know that can start to rot that the sticky goo that on your intestines and stuff.
So colonic caps is really helpful if you're having a hard time moving your bowels and stuff.
And one of the nice things is with the psyllium husk is that when psyllium gets
(08:52):
wet, it gets really, really slippery.
So basically, it makes it easier for your bowels to move because it's slippery.
The poop that it's making is slippery, and so it's easier to move out.
So colonic caps is really helpful if you're having a difficult,
like not that you're constipated, but sometimes it's hard to move your bowels
(09:16):
or you have a lot of buildup, colonic caps will give you that bulk to kind of move it out.
It's kind of like taking a broom and sweeping out your intestines and stuff.
So it's really, really helpful.
Next one that I want to talk about is Zyme. So Zyme was developed for stomach issues.
If you've got too much stomach acid, if you're not quite digesting things right,
(09:39):
if, you know, sometimes if you have too much acid, it can cause ulcers and things
in the stomach and the colester will help to heal it.
Zyme will help to calm down that strong acid.
So Zyme is a really, it's a soothing formula.
It's got a lot of the The mint family, peppermint, spearmint,
century, fennel, catnip, they're all very soothing to digestion.
(10:05):
So like if you have a hard time digesting certain foods, taking a couple of
Zyme before you eat them.
Like if you're going to a party and you know there's going to be certain foods
there and you can't like you have a hard time saying no.
But you know, it's going to give
you a hard time with digesting and take a couple of Zyme before you go.
And it'll make a huge difference. So along with those, there's one of our formulas
(10:27):
that's not used very often that's amazing for digestion,
nausea, but it also helps certain formulas work better, and that's travel or O-cramp.
We use a couple of different names for it.
The O-cramp, the reason we call it O-cramp is because there's so much ginger in there.
(10:49):
It dilates the blood vessels and helps them to open up. So if a woman is having
cramps with her monthly cycle.
Travel or okra will help to open that up and help it to move out but travel is also really helpful,
if you're having nausea related to improper digestion so there's different kinds
(11:10):
of nausea you know like ear issues where your balance is off travel will help
with that because it increases the blood flow but it and travel also helps with
some kinds of nausea so it just depends on.
What you've got going on.
There's other kinds of nausea, which comes from being exposed to a virus or
(11:32):
food poisoning or stuff like that.
When you have that, we always suggest going with Lugol's iodine because the
Lugol's iodine, what that does is it moves the...
What we do with the Lugol's iodine was put it into a capsule.
So you fill up a capsule with the iodine and swallow the caps we got to do it
(11:53):
pretty quick or it'll break open but then what happens is once it's in the stomach
and it breaks open any foreign anything it will kill it it'll like viruses,
anything that's causing all sorts of stomach issues
it'll the iodine will attach to
it kill it and then you can move it out of the body so it's
really helpful if there's you know some stomach stomach bug
(12:16):
going around that's making everybody really sick to
their stomach and and nauseous and vomiting and
stuff the iodine will help we like to do it along with tea honey simply because
the apple cider vinegar is very soothing so once you have that iodine in there
and it's killed everything off the following it up with the tea honey and apple
(12:39):
cider vinegar is very soothing and the honey is really soothing.
So the next couple of formulas I want to talk about work together.
The first one is LiveClean.
Our liver is kind of like the garbage can of our body.
The liver cleans out all of the toxins, heavy metals, and all sorts of gunk
(13:01):
that we're exposed to and everything.
And the liver tries to process it, convert it into something it can deal with,
and push it out. If you're exposed to too much of those toxins,
basically your liver becomes overloaded with toxins and it can't function properly.
And that's where LiveClean comes in and why Dr.
(13:22):
James developed it was for that purpose, to help clean out your liver.
It also helps with moving stones out of the gallbladder and stuff. off.
So it's the, the liver takes about seven years to re for it to remake itself.
So from, if you start right now in seven years, you'll have a brand new liver,
(13:44):
but all the toxins are still there.
So taking live cream kind of helps to move out the toxins, especially if you
have problems digesting fats and oils and things like that.
And you get that, that ache on your right side, just kind of up under your ribs.
That's your liver trying to push out oils and things like that.
(14:06):
So that ache, if it gets really, really bad, that's called gallbladder colic.
And it's extremely, extremely painful and really, really difficult to deal with.
But the nice thing is if you take Colser.
Six capsules every half hour until it goes away. It doesn't take long,
(14:26):
like maybe a half hour, 45 minutes, maybe an hour.
It opens up those ducts and helps clear out the stones or whatever is causing
that gallbladder colic.
So it's really, really nice. So
along with cleaning out the liver and the gallbladder, we have Epsom salt.
(14:46):
So I've done an episode on the liver flush before. four.
So what Epsom salt is, so there's a, for a liver flesh, and I'll put the link
in the show notes, is basically you avoid oils and things for a couple of days.
And then the day of the cleanse, what you're going to do is not stop eating at about two o'clock.
(15:13):
And then in the evening you take a dose of so the liver flesh originally was
a bunch of epsom salt in water,
and the reason i put it in capsule we put it in capsules is
because i can't stand the stuff it is so nasty
it's just it's whoa that means magnesium of so epsom salt is magnesium sulfate
(15:36):
the magnesium taste it's like coating your mouth with a rusty iron rod and you
like suck him on a it's just I really,
don't like it so I put it in capsules to make it much easier.
So basically, there's 60 capsules.
You take 15 capsules at 6, and then another 15 at 8.
(16:03):
And the magnesium basically causes the bowels to flush.
So it's flushing out your entire digestive system by taking this much Epsom
salt. So it's going to flush your system.
Then at 10 o'clock, you're going to do olive oil and grapefruit mix.
And you'll see it in the, in the, the show notes, I'll put it down there.
(16:23):
And you drink that. And what that does is because you've not had oil for a while,
you've kind of built up bile and stuff in your liver and it push it,
it, it's kind of like pushing it really hard and it will push a lot of the stones out.
And because the Epsom salt has, has flushed out your entire digestive system,
it makes it so that it will continue to flush.
(16:44):
And then you can do it again. Then you do two, do two more doses of the Epsom salt in the morning.
I've done this liver flush quite a few times.
And it kind of wears you out just because you're flushing out your entire digestive system.
But shortly after that, if you've had liver issues, shortly a day or two after
(17:06):
you do the liver flush, you get back to yourself and you feel pretty darn good. It really helps.
So moving to the other side, I want to talk about the pancreas.
So the pancreas is, it's, so the endocrine system is anything that parts of
your body that make certain hormones or certain that your body needs for digestion
(17:28):
or for, there's a lot of different things that it does.
So the pancreas basically is there to help us digest sugar.
Basically it's what it does to help with sugar.
So we have two formulas that help with the pancreas and help with digesting sugar.
And so when we talk about digesting sugar, the, you know, diabetes and hypoglycemia
(17:53):
come up and they are pretty much the same thing, opposite sides of a coin.
So basically your body does too much sugar or not enough sugar.
And it's, you know, there's a whole difficult time dealing with the sugars and
it can cause, you know, excessively low blood sugars, which will pretty much
kill you because you have sugar is the fuel for our body.
(18:16):
Our bodies run on certain sugars.
So what the pancreas does is it gives us our body hormones that it needs to
convert the wrong kind of sugar into the kind of sugar it needs.
And so if your pancreas isn't working right or the hormones are out of whack,
then your sugars are going to be out of whack.
Too low and it's like if your car has no gas, it's not going anywhere.
(18:40):
But if you have overflow your car, like if you were to fill up the inside with
gas, it's going to make you sick and have all sorts of issues.
So for diabetes type issues, high sugar is what Dr. James developed for that.
For low sugar, for hypoglycemia was low sugar.
So what the low sugar does is when your sugars drop so drastically low,
(19:07):
you'll do whatever it takes to get your sugar back up,
which is usually, you know, sodas or candies or
sugars that are massively over processed and aren't going to do your body any
good anyway so low sugar basically makes it so your gives your body what it
needs so that it can function properly and then makes makes it so you can make
(19:30):
good choices when it comes to.
To the sugars or, or whatever. So, so high sugar for hypoglycemic reactions
and low sugar for, I said that backward, high sugar for diabetic type reactions,
low sugar for hypoglycemic reactions.
Two really wonderful formulas for that.
(19:52):
Another digestive formula I want to talk about is extra Begon.
Basically in our, in the American diet, we take, we eat way too much of the wrong fats.
There there's good fats and bad fats and good
oils and bad oils and so extra be
gone is made to basically what it
(20:12):
does is it wraps around those bad fats and
helps you digest them basically if it's the wrong
kind of fat and your body can't digest it well it'll it
will wrap it it'll create fat from your
body wrap it in that fat and just kind of set it aside and
that's how you know you get that stomach the the
(20:32):
big stomach and stuff is it's like a toxic overload
and your body just can't deal with it so extra
begun will like wrap around that fat and make
it digestible and help you pass it through your body so it's you know as far
as some people see it as a weight loss formula which it will help you lose weight
(20:53):
but it also helped kind of like
detoxify some if you've got a lot of gunk floating around in your system,
or if you know you're gonna eat something that's going to be,
just like the Zyme, if it's something that.
Zyme, if you're gonna eat something that makes you sick, taking Zyme beforehand.
If you're gonna eat something that you know that.
(21:14):
Isn't the best food for you, taking extra Begon beforehand and having that there
in your stomach will help wrap around some of that stuff and help move it out of the body.
So talking about gunk and goo and issues and stuff, there's a lot of toxins
in foods and other things that come in contact.
(21:38):
And sometimes those toxins can, when they come in contact with certain cells
that it mutates the cells, the cells change, which then causes them to replicate really, really fast.
So we have a couple of formulas, hediondea and xenolithic.
And what those formulas do is basically they help to, because those cells that
(22:03):
are mutated, they actually don't work anymore. They don't do what they're supposed to.
And they mutate and they grow really, really fast, trying to basically all they do is replicate.
And so the hediondea basically helps to break those up anywhere where it breaks
it up so that your body can deal with it.
If it gets too big and too massive, I mean, that's where all sorts of issues
(22:24):
come in. So hediondea and xenolithic help.
Hediondea will basically break those up and move them out of the body.
Sometimes if it's sat for too long, what happens is they become very, very hard.
So Zeno which are lithic I
mean so Zeno is something that doesn't
belong and lithic is hard like a
(22:45):
rock so if something gets hard
like a rock within the digestive system xenolithic will it kind of like breaks
it up so that your body can can move it out because if it's hard and it's it's
a solid thing your body can't get rid of it and so kind of along those lines
anytime you're exposed opposed to molds,
(23:08):
funguses, heavy metals, any toxins like that, a lot of times the body can't
move them out, a lot of heavy metals and things like that.
And so that's why Dr. James developed detoxillation.
Basically, it wraps around heavy metals and helps your body to get rid of them.
So then a couple other formulas that, you know, we have formulas that are for
(23:34):
specific systems, colser digestive you know zine digestive we have formulas
that pretty much work for every system,
but they're taggable and what that means is if you take a tagable formula along
with colser it's going to go to the digestive system if you take one of these
tagable formulas along with another formula goes to a different system it will
(23:57):
go to that system so the the tagable ones are affection infection and tissue mend.
Both of these formulas are very taggable. So if you have, you know,
there's all sorts of ways to get an infection.
Different parts of your body but in like in the digestive tract if
you get like a bowel infection or a or a
you know a tooth infection or anything
(24:19):
like that affection is what we would suggest
basically affection cleans out the lymphatic system and
helps clear out it strengthens the immune system
to function properly so it's affection is
really wonderful and so along those lines is tissue men tissue mend is also
a very taggable formula and that one will that one builds and strengthens whatever
(24:41):
it's going with you know it'll it'll if you're if you have ulcers that are that
you're wanting to get rid of faster taking tissue men will help them heal faster,
and then whenever we talk about any any system to be healthy that system needs vitamins and minerals,
And that's just a given.
(25:01):
Basically what our body uses for health and to make it healthy are vitamins and minerals.
So we have the PM minerals and the multivitamin pack.
Those go along with every system, but those will help nourish and strengthen
the digestive system. them.
So it has been a pleasure visiting with you about the digestive system and the
(25:23):
formulas that work for it.
So go ahead if you'll subscribe wherever you're listening to this podcast from
then you'll be able to catch up on the previous episodes where we talked about
some of the systems of the body and then I've still got some more to talk about
and we will talk with you next time.
