What exactly is The Rest is Commentary? Well, it's a podcast that combines music,
ancient wisdom, and people.
I'm Shep Rosenman. I'm writing a song cycle using the Psalms,
or Tehillim in Hebrew, as inspiration.
In each episode, I offer one of my songs and the psalm that inspired it to a

When I write these songs, I'm connecting to ancient texts and the many people
who have poured over them for thousands of years.
I'm also connecting with something greater than myself, regardless of what you
call it, God, the muse, the creative spirit, a higher power, or something else.

(00:45):
When I share the songs with my friends, I'm connecting with them and connecting
them to those ancient and powerful traditions.
When we share these conversations with you, that connects you to those ancient
traditions, to something greater than ourselves, and it connects you to me and my guests.
Being Jewish, I can't help but approach the texts from a Jewish perspective,

but my goal is that from the Jewish particular, we will be telling stories and
exploring issues that are universal in nature.
My guests on The Rest is Commentary are all friends, family, mentors. tours.

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
