(00:00):
Welcome to the salt podcast.
I'm George Iskandar, and joining
me, as always, is my co-host
Simon Thomas gilt.
So this is our 10th episode.
Which is a very special milestone.
And because of that,
we brought back a very special guest
by popular demand.
So he shook the internet
with his boldness and biblical truth.
Now he returns for a deeper,
unfiltered conversation
on faith, culture,
(00:21):
and standing firm in Christ,
no matter the cost.
Please welcome back his grace,
Bishop ma Mary Emmanuel.
Well, thank you very much.
We thank the Lord Jesus
for this precious moment.
And, the Salt podcast and our beloveds
George and Simon,
thank you very much for being with you.
Once again.
I thank the Lord for both of you
and to all of our viewers.
(00:42):
May the Lord Jesus always
bless you,
God you and protect you in his mighty
and holy name. Amen. Amen. Amen.
Thank you. Bishop.
Actually,
we had a favorite quote from you
from our last, episode.
And Simon does a very good impersonation,
so I'd love to let Simon
deliver it for us.
Come right now,
because when we watch back
(01:02):
the episode, we
we kept pausing at the site
about what you mentioned
about the fish burger.
The chocolate sundae.
But we have to give him the impression
he always is, I think.
I think by now
McDonald's have to pay me here and,
some sort of an incentive
for promoting them on,
my on Macca's drive
after the Ford class
(01:23):
where you had a couple of fish
burgers and chocolates,
and then we'll put the prawns on the back
mix.
Thank you so much,
Bishop, for joining us.
I guess what I wanted to start with is
last time you came on our show,
we really had millions
and millions of views
and, moved a lot of people.
So I wanted to ask you behind the scenes,
was there any kind of spiritual attack
(01:45):
that occurred
because of something like that?
When you when you do preach
and you do reach so many people,
even just in your sermons on Sunday
with all the streaming that happens does.
Is there a spiritual attack
because you're reaching so many people
in the name
of the father,
of the son and of the Holy Spirit,
one God? Amen.
Lord Jesus, may your holy name
(02:05):
be always glorified.
May the love of God
the Father
fill every heart,
and may the power of the Holy Spirit,
the Spirit of Truth,
engulf every soul to realize
there is only one way,
and there is only one truth,
and there is only one life,
and that is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
I believe, for everything
(02:26):
there is a price tag and,
when you are,
by the grace of the Lord, obviously.
And of course,
when you are reaching out
to so many people and,
and it is the Lord
who is changing those hearts.
But as the Lord, through his infinite
wisdom and his mercy and compassion, uses
(02:49):
any one of us
as that vessel to glorify his holy name.
Sure, you do get attacked
because of that.
In a very simple approach.
Any company owner,
when they
see their company is losing profit,
they don't sit in silence.
They try and do anything and everything
(03:10):
frantically to build it up
and bring that profitability once again
to a level that is acceptable,
to that owner.
So, the enemy has a business to run,
and, when he sees that he's,
he's losing grip.
So obviously he's going to try
to do something,
but Jesus
Christ of Nazareth
will always be the triumphant one
(03:32):
who crushed the head of the serpent
on Calvary, on the on the cross.
So therefore,
whatever happens,
we are in very safe hands.
As the Holy Bible says,
the Lord has engraved our names
in the palm of his hands,
where he was wounded by his beloved.
So nobody can wipe that engraving.
(03:52):
Those nails
have put our names there forever.
So we trust the Lord,
and we have, faith in him that wouldn't.
No matter what happens, we are weak.
But, Lord, in you
I can do anything
and everything, as Saint Paul says.
So it's all good.
Amazing. Amazing.
Humble response.
(04:13):
I don't know what to say after that.
You obviously on the last episode
you spoke,
you spoke very boldly about, Candace.
Oh, what?
Candace Owens response
on same sex marriage.
Now, that video, actually reached
nearly a million people
on YouTube as one platform.
So with that being said,
hundred and 20,000 at the moment,
(04:34):
if she's being specific.
But,
after that it happened
and obviously it went as viral as it did
the same questions, George, did
that sort of affect
your ministry in any way,
or did that do
anything personally for you?
No. Not really.
Whether it affects it or not,
the truth must be said.
And,
this is,
the only true teacher who taught us.
(04:57):
And who is the Lord
Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
All glory to his holy and mighty name.
So, the truth must be said
whether, whatever the outcome is,
it is really,
beside the point, as they say.
But I since you mentioned,
our beloved,
Candace Owens, I would like to say this
and I meant to say it in the
(05:17):
previous episode,
but we got carried away with the topic.
Yeah.
I just wanted to say, I personally,
thank her very much so for her boldness.
And, I have a great deal of respect
for people, like Candace Owens.
So may God bless her.
Always bless her family
and her loved ones.
Amen, Amen, Amen.
(05:39):
So after what you've been through,
do you ever feel fear now, or do you,
or how do you process
the concept of fear?
In a spiritual way?
Fear in the negative aspect?
No, because we need to learn.
And the Lord is the teacher.
We need to learn on, trusting him.
(06:01):
And that is a life's journey.
And the Lord, does
teach you on on getting, trust
and trusting him more and more
and having faith in him more and more
and with faith and trust
that sort of push away that fear.
In fact,
the, the enemy of faith is, is fear.
So when once fear engulfs
(06:22):
the person, faith diminishes
and it's very, very dangerous.
So we need to,
always ask the Lord Jesus.
Lord, increase my faith,
as that, you know, humble person said.
And that weak person
increase my faith, Lord.
So, we need to pray
and ask Lord Jesus for that.
But, the only fear I have is
(06:45):
I don't want to hurt
the most precious
heart ever in existence.
And that is the heart of
of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
That's the only fear I have.
That's beautiful.
Now,
I don't want to get into storytime
straight away with you,
but we did mention
last time that the biggest miracle
you had was seeing
Jesus when,
when you were on your missionary trip,
(07:06):
what was the second biggest miracle
he had? You?
Oh, my beautiful sons,
you put me on the spot, don't you?
I told you last time,
I don't like to be put on the spot,
but, Eddie, look,
this one is to do with my earthly mother,
who moved on to heaven, and I believe,
(07:26):
firmly, that she is with the Lord.
This goes back many, many years,
back in Iraq,
where I come from originally.
So,
we had this neighbor
for a very long time, her son.
(07:46):
They are Christians.
Her son was involved in a car accident.
He was,
at the time
studying,
at a university in Baghdad and,
a group of friends,
you know, they were sitting in the car
and they drove, and the driver
decided to speed
lost control of the vehicle.
And where, her son was sitting,
(08:08):
smashed against a very massive tree.
He was
he had a massive brain injury, and,
he went into coma.
Anyway, to cut a long story short,
the top doctors in Iraq
came and said to the mother,
your son, clinically dead.
The survivability
(08:30):
ratio is, almost non-existent.
So the mother came crying, you know,
destroyed as like any other mother.
And I pray, you know,
no mother,
no parents go through such situations.
So she came to my mother, which he which
he came to know her
(08:50):
for a very long time as being neighbors.
She said, look, I believe
in the
Holy Mother that you pray to.
Yes, I can pray.
And I saw the Holy Mother.
But when you pray to your Holy Mother,
it is different
when I pray to my Holy Mother.
So anyway,
you know, in a simple
(09:11):
terminology, as you know,
simple mothers in faith.
So she said, I beg you, my son is dead.
You pray to the Holy Mother
and ask your mother to intercede.
So, my mom,
we had a double storey house in Baghdad,
so she went up.
She dedicated the
the biggest room upstairs
(09:31):
as a prayer room.
So she had the Holy Cross,
the icon of the Lord Jesus,
the Holy Mother and other saints.
And every single day
she would go up
there,
spent quite some time in prayers
and lighting candles and the lights.
So she went up straight away.
And this I witnessed myself.
Yeah.
So that's,
it's a living sort of testimony.
(09:53):
So she went up there and started praying
and asked the Holy Mother
that very night,
the same night
the Holy Mother came to my mum
and she had a head
in her hand.
The Holy Mother,
she named that man by his name,
which is the real name.
(10:13):
You know, sometimes in dreams
you may see people.
They may not be in real life,
sort of life on earth.
Maybe it's in a metaphorical way.
And the spiritual realm,
it can be slightly different
to the way it is on earth.
But the Holy Mother came
and specifically named
that person by their real name on earth.
And she said to my mum,
(10:35):
she said, take this head and place it on
so-and-so's head.
So my mum woke up, she called me.
I was the Oba of at the time.
She said,
come here my son, sit on the bicycle
and run, to so-and-so
and tell them the good news
(10:56):
and tell them, mother,
don't ever fear anymore.
Don't ever cry anymore.
Your son is fully recovered
and the Holy Mother interceded to her
beloved son,
who is our God, our Lord,
our Savior, our Redeemer,
the one and only, the glory of our life.
Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
So the Holy Mother has.
She has interceded.
(11:17):
She gave me a brand new head for her son.
So I sat on the bicycle and I ran Mr.
Uber.
So I knocked at the door.
The mother came out, gone, finished.
I said,
this is the message
from my earthly mother.
And I refer to my mum
as earthly mother
because I only have
one Heavenly Mother forever.
(11:38):
And that's my holy Mother
Mary, my glory, my love, my everything.
So I said, look,
this is what my earthly mother's saying.
Don't fear.
She said,
I believe in whatever your earthly
mother says.
That said, my son is fully recovered.
The same day, and a few hours later she
(11:59):
goes to the hospital,
one of the most profound
hospitals in Iraq and Baghdad.
Her son
gained consciousness.
Now, the doctors said
just to come out of that coma,
it is almost non-existent.
(12:20):
But to just come back,
your son will be 100% a vegetable.
It is impossible.
The the the knowledge
we have as doctors,
what we've seen with scans
and everything.
Your son is literally dead.
It is impossible to come back.
But if he comes back
(12:40):
and being in the Middle East,
they believe in God.
Sometimes in these countries,
you know,
they tend to speak at a medical,
clinical level.
They don't want to go any further.
But they said,
if your son just comes back,
that is a miracle on its own,
but he will be a vegetable
for the rest of his life, 100%.
This is guaranteed.
He not only came back, he came back
(13:02):
fully recovered as the Holy Mother said.
So as the Holy Mother said,
brand new head, brand new head.
He came back fully recovered.
He got married.
He had children, he lived his life.
And I pray he's still alive.
Wow, what a blessing.
Yeah.
So your mother's prayers are very strong.
That's the second story
we've heard about your mother's.
(13:23):
Not because she was my mom.
But, yeah, she was a very blessed woman.
Yeah.
Yeah, she she adored, you know,
two persons very, very deeply,
the Lord Jesus.
And after the Lord Jesus
was the Holy Mother,
the Holy Mother to her was everything.
(13:43):
Wherever she went, she would ask,
is there a church named after Saint Mary?
And she would go there.
I mean, she loved all the saints, but
Mariam was always special.
So I think her message to all
our viewers is don't underestimate
the power of the Mother of God.
And oh no, no no no no.
And use this tool that we have.
(14:04):
Absolutely.
And and and the Holy Mother,
she will always be that she.
Now I stand speechless.
I don't know what to say
because it's never enough.
No matter what I say about my mother,
my Holy Mother,
it will never get anywhere near
what God has given her.
(14:25):
With graces
and exaltation and veneration,
he elevated her
not only above all the saints,
but above
all the angelic orders in heaven.
She is the mother of all saints.
She's not. She's.
I get so upset when they say,
Saint Mary, don't
just stop at Saint Mary.
Say, the mother of all
Saints, the crown of our glory,
(14:45):
the mother of our Lord, our God,
our Savior, our Redeemer,
Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
our holy Mother Mary's okay.
Yeah, I get, I get sort of
got a fire fired up. It's amazing.
We need to learn from you.
We need to learn from you
and utilize Saint Mary, for sure.
But, yeah, that's that was a miracle.
That I.
I was part of it.
And I thank the Lord
and the Holy Mother to be part of it.
(15:06):
As the Uber guy.
Part of it a small
role, but
it was a
it was a nice, nice
delivery for a change. You know.
So so I want to ask on that point,
you know, we talked about
your first encounter was with Jesus.
So on the opposite side,
have you ever had an encounter
with the devil that you can share?
Oh.
(15:28):
Is this going to continue this way?
We ask the hard questions.
The salt podcast.
We asked the hard questions.
Look, all I can say,
if there is anyone out there watching us,
listening to us, if they
think for a moment
that there is no Satan,
(15:51):
that person is mistaken.
Hell definitely exists.
Satan definitely exists.
Foul spirits definitely exist
simply because the Holy Bible says so.
And just like
the Holy Bible also says
(16:11):
that there is heaven
and there is Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
there is angels and there is saints,
and the mother of all saints.
And definitely
you need to believe in that, and 100%
accept it
without the slightest
of the slightest of doubts.
So, yeah, I mean, and since the enemy
(16:32):
exists, then.
I believe you will have
of some sort of an encounter along
your life journey on earth.
And I believe the Lord
Jesus permits that to happen,
just to reveal to you
that he exists,
(16:52):
and you need to be alert and awake.
It's for our own benefit,
our own spiritual growth.
You get scared at the beginning,
but later on, you're sort of,
the Lord strengthens
you to withstand it.
And and of course, the Lord
will only reveal
what we are
capable of handling by his grace.
(17:16):
Otherwise, it is impossible.
The enemy, if he comes
and I have no Christ helping me,
forget it.
He will eat the whole world alive.
Before anyone blinks their eyes.
Is that powerful?
But he is nothing. When.
When the Lord Jesus comes and shows up.
(17:36):
So, yeah, you do have an encounter,
but again, each at a different level.
I'd like to talk much about that.
Yeah.
I was going to say
you've said that
you've made it very general,
but I appreciate that.
I appreciate as the fee
goes, the faith comes in.
Yeah, man. Amen.
Well, on a more positive note,
I think we'll just we'll go
a little bit more positive.
(17:56):
Last time we had you on
for the full two hours, it was amazing.
But I feel like maybe
there was some questions.
We might have been missing.
So on that note, what's one question
that you would have liked
to be asked that we didn't ask
you last time?
Oh good question.
I don't know, honestly.
I, I don't know,
anything that you wanted to bring up,
(18:16):
anything that you wanted to speak
upon, really?
Like,
I'll leave that in your capable hands.
And whatever the Lord wants at the end.
So we did a good job.
Yeah, you did a good job.
You have enough to.
All right, so
shifting gears a little bit,
it might sound like
a bit of a silly topic,
but there is something called,
la booboo.
I don't know if you've heard
this name before.
It is
(18:36):
currently something
that is going viral all over.
Oh my gosh, we have one on hand.
I've brought one on.
I think if they acquire
King Julian would be much better.
Okay,
so I don't even want to touch this thing,
to be honest.
But basically,
for the viewers,
one of our crew members,
I can handle that.
But one of our crew members
had this on on hand, and, it looks a bit
(18:58):
scary, doesn't it?
It does.
Try to smile, but it's not really.
I will make the sign of the cross.
There you go. Right.
So if we can actually, I don't know
if we can actually pull up on the screen,
the image of the, comparison between,
the booboo and Pazuzu,
which is, a demonic entity.
So apparently
what people are saying right now
(19:18):
is that there is something called Pazuzu,
which is a demonic entity,
and you can look it up on Google
and basically
it says that it is a demon
from ancient
Assyrian Babylonian mythology,
primarily known as the King of the wind.
Demons associated
with the south winds,
that brings forth
droughts, famine, and locusts.
So a lot of people,
surprisingly, have come out
saying they've had some
(19:39):
paranormal activity
associated with this toy.
Some people say from, you know, the eyes
of the the toy changing color, from,
you know, sleeping at night
and they wake up with scratches.
Other people that I actually know on a,
on a firsthand level
have said that,
you know,
they've gotten sick
as soon as they bought the doll.
Everyone in the household
(20:00):
has gotten sick, like,
not just once, but twice.
So is is this, like,
something that we should take seriously,
or is this a joke?
Or because so many people are consumed
by this little toy at the moment?
Actually, I've, I've just had this from,
you know,
I'm not sure, but I, I have heard like,
some people, like,
they are acquiring such.
(20:22):
I don't know what to call it, a toy,
whatever it is.
And, and apparently they are paying,
you know,
not a cheap price for it either.
Top dollar.
And and if the longer it stays,
it goes up in price. Yeah.
And there is a bit of a competition
on it. And,
but I don't know, like, I guess to me,
(20:43):
even though it's not my,
my, my area of expertise
is really because,
I don't have the time for such dolls.
Yeah.
I'm too busy as it is.
But why don't they.
Why don't parents really, get a baby
Jesus doll or
or the Holy Mother or some saint?
Something more of a spiritual sort of,
(21:04):
identity.
You know,
I would say
it'll be much healthier,
and much wiser to do that.
Yeah.
I don't know why
we should go to that extent.
I mean, I'm looking at the eyes now.
They don't look that
comfortable doing that.
But I guess that's where we say.
Is it is it just hearsay or conspiracy,
or could there be truth behind it?
(21:25):
Could it be
that somebody intended
to have a demonic toy
be viral and go into people's homes?
I guess
in our time and age,
anything and everything is possible.
I would not exclude that kind of,
and sort of, mission.
Yeah, I would, I would not exploited
because, look,
(21:45):
we are living at a time where,
where evil has infiltrated
in so many areas of life.
And, and,
you know, you look at the world and the,
the way the world is behaving.
Nothing's short of evil.
So would they come in a sort of an
an innocent kind of approach
to infiltrate more evil
into the mind of our innocent angels,
(22:06):
our beloved children?
It's not that far off.
So the the the best medicine
is prevention, 100% prevention.
So I got a baby Jesus toy.
Yeah.
You know, beautiful, sweet.
Yeah.
And I, I love,
I love the Lord as a as a as a baby.
(22:26):
A babies in general are just.
When I see them, I melt like a candle.
They're my life, I adore them,
I forget myself,
I forget that I'm a bishop.
I don't care
if I kiss their their, their little feet.
And if they're wearing sandals or shoes,
I like them, I kiss them.
Oh, they're amazing.
(22:47):
So the baby Jesus is amazing.
Stunning.
Breathtaking.
Actually, we have,
someone who makes little saint toys.
We'll put the.
I can't remember the name right now,
but we'll put it
in the description of this video.
We'll put a link.
They actually make,
a Jesus toy
Saint Mary, Saint George, Saint Shiloh.
So I think that's beauty.
It's so much better for the kids, 100%.
And I think a lot of people,
(23:09):
sometimes even
with the concept of Halloween, like,
a lot of people taking that innocently,
but it also they're like from our church,
they say partaking in that actually opens
a door and allows.
Absolutely. And I very true.
And, and my advice to every mom and dad,
every parent out there is
we need to be very careful
because being being a parent
(23:30):
or a parents, it's a
it takes a huge responsibility with us.
So we can't take things lightly,
nor for granted.
So we have to be very cautious.
And we need to be also, very focused
on what we expose
our beautiful children to.
We have to be very careful.
I think we can't be naive as well.
We have Rick in, about a month time.
(23:51):
We have, two ex Satanists
that we're going to interview.
One is John Ramirez,
and another one is Ryan.
Last name
I can't pronounce,
but he's from South Africa.
But, in my research,
leading up to those interviews,
I've heard a lot of clips from them,
and they say, you know,
the devil is really trying
to curse people to the extent that,
(24:12):
there are teachers
that can be devil worshipers
that you don't know, that
they actually teach them.
They devil worship is
and they try and curse
the kids in the classroom.
And they say the only kids
that are protected
are the ones that have the prayers
of their parents.
It's like a blue fire around them
and they can't touch them. Absolutely.
So there are people out there
trying to cause harm
because prayer is foundational.
And and and the Lord Jesus,
(24:34):
he taught us to to pray, you know,
so it's absolutely, absolutely right.
And we have to be very careful,
especially nowadays more than ever.
Humanity in general
has really drifted so far
away from the true divine God.
Yeah.
We need to be very, very careful.
Well, on a
more real note, maybe more serious note.
(24:54):
We're in a bit of,
the world is in a bit of unrest
at the moment with all the things
that happened
recently with, President Trump and,
Iran,
USA kind of, siding with Israel and,
and attacking Iran
and now still the prolonged war of,
between Israel and Palestine
and of course,
Russia and Ukraine still going.
(25:15):
So in your mind,
I asked you this question last time,
but so much is progress since then.
Is this
still just things that are happening,
or is this prophetically significant
and things that we should be
waking us up to say, hey,
maybe the end is coming, the end is near,
be vigilant.
Probably, as we
mentioned, maybe last time,
I don't recall fully, but,
(25:37):
we are definitely living
in the End of times,
which is a 2000 year cycle.
And that's
what the Holy Bible tells us
and teaches us,
what is happening in the world
definitely are signs of end times.
And,
one of the biggest indication
(25:59):
to World War three,
where nuclear warheads will be used
and we don't know what else,
other technologies are out there.
Is that the World War
three will
will start from the Middle East.
And, and the nuclear
warhead will be used
when Israel will be striked.
So a time will come that will take place.
(26:21):
Now obviously we, we don't want
for any wars because wars are disastrous.
So many people are being
killed, destroyed, hurt and
you don't gain anything out of wars.
It's an absolute disaster.
So we pray and ask the Lord Jesus to,
(26:42):
bestow his peace and tranquility
in every nation and every heart
and every culture and every,
you know, in every household.
But definitely
what we've been noticing
in the Middle East, it's it's
it is a definite indication of.
Yeah, maybe we are very ni you know, to
(27:03):
to the end of times.
We can't say it's the end of the world
because nobody knows that the Lord Jesus,
said that.
And it's only the father that knows that.
So we can't tell
that it's the end of the world,
but it's definitely.
We are living in the depths
of the end of times.
And,
what has been happening in very,
very recent times is very disturbing,
(27:23):
actually very disturbing.
But we still pray that the Lord Jesus
is more than capable
to calm the situation down.
And, we have seen a bit of a calmness
in the last couple of weeks,
and we pray that it continues.
What would you attribute
that calmness to?
Obviously, we pray that God
pray that the Lord Jesus doesn't really,
doesn't allow
(27:43):
any of these things to happen.
But for example,
the leaders of these big superpowers
like the United States of America,
like what?
What do you think would attribute that?
Would you think it's Donald
Trump maybe taking a step back or
what could it be like?
What are your views?
Say, for example, on how Donald Trump is
sort of reacting to all of this
or how he's
maybe one step away
from creating something disastrous?
(28:05):
Look, I, I don't think I am, sort of,
qualified to comment
on, you know, world leaders
because we may go on
to the political sort of, aspect of it.
And, I'm not a politician,
so I wouldn't sort of,
qualify myself to, to elaborate on that,
or to give my, my point of view on it.
(28:25):
However, all I can say,
as a, as a Christian,
as a believer and the Lord Jesus
and as a follower of Christ,
I believe every leader in the world
and every leader in the church
is controlled
by Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
At the end of the day,
nothing happens
without the permission of God,
and God is
(28:45):
the,
is the sovereign authority
over and above everyone and everything.
So when things happen,
maybe to the to the human, to the human
level, we say, oh, well,
this particular leader did this.
And because they are strong,
they are powerful.
They can do whatever they wish.
But the truth to the matter
is, at the end of the day,
(29:06):
it is up to Jesus Christ of Nazareth
and him alone.
I'll give you an example
to what I'm trying to say here.
And the Holy Bible,
when it talks
about Augustus Caesar,
when he,
he gave that decree where everybody in
his empire
needed to, to go through that,
you know, censuses. Yeah.
(29:26):
The census.
So, so one day, Augustus
Caesar woke up
and this thought came to his head
and he said,
if any anyone who works in my palace
as a as a slave comes and asks me,
Caesar,
do you know how many people are under
your control in your empire?
(29:47):
I say to them, I don't know
that is an embarrassment
to the most powerful men
and an emperor in the world.
So he said, that
said, I give this decree for
everybody needs to go back to their town.
To their city,
and and go through the census
so that the decree went out
and Israel was under his rulership.
So I went to Israel,
(30:07):
and then it went to Galilee,
and then went to Nazareth.
And it came to our father Joseph
the Just on our holy Mother Mary.
And they said, It's
Augustus's, as you know,
a decree.
So they have no choice.
So they get up and walk
for about three weeks
all the way to the south,
(30:27):
and go to Bethlehem, because they are
they are from the house of David.
And, and the city of David is Bethlehem.
And as they get to Bethlehem, it was time
for the Holy Mother to give birth.
And the Messiah was born in Bethlehem
according to the word of God,
which has that prophetic word,
(30:47):
that when the Messiah come,
he will come from Bethlehem.
Imagine if Augustus sees
that did not give that decree.
Jesus would have been born in Nazareth.
The prophecy would have been broken.
Therefore he couldn't have saved us.
So as far as Augustus's is concerned,
he he's saying,
I am free and I'm in control.
(31:09):
I'm in charge.
I can do whatever I wish
and I can say whatever I wish.
There is no power that can stop me
not realizing
it was God who art in heaven,
moving Augustus Caesar to do his will.
It is exactly the same thing
as super power now.
It was just like
the super power back then.
Nothing has changed
and God in heaven
(31:29):
definitely is the everlasting God.
He will always be in control.
So from this perspective, who is moving,
Mr. Trump?
God, who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth
and who is moving the East and the West
and the North and the South.
God, who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
and who controls the church
(31:49):
and the leaders of the church. God.
But at the end of the day,
God at the same time
allows us to be free within a limit.
Why?
Because he created us
on the basis of love,
and with love gave us freedom.
So he'll give us that freedom to maneuver
and do certain things.
But at the end of the day,
what God says must happen.
(32:12):
Even those who deny God's existence,
even those who challenge
God's existence and say,
we will challenge
you and will prove to you
that we will do it our way.
God uses them
to complete and fulfill his plan.
Why?
Because he is simply the Almighty.
(32:32):
Well,
well, you put things
in perspective so well.
So what is happening in the Middle East?
What is happening in America
and Europe,
in Canada, in Australia,
in the Middle East, in Asia,
the Lord Jesus is always in control.
So therefore fear nothing,
for the Lord is as always here.
So can I ask about that,
(32:54):
about Donald Trump in particular?
The fact that we've got news
that, you know,
he firstly he talks about Jesus Christ,
which is I think is good.
And they say the white House
now has, you know, a
they pray in the white House,
they have Bibles in the white House,
they do a Bible study.
Is that all things that are comforting,
or do you think it's just a political
illusion to to gain the popularity
(33:15):
of the Christian vote?
Okay.
Again, I don't think,
if I make any comments
directly to that point, I hope,
I don't sound maybe judgmental
or I fall into judgment
because the only one who knows
the heart of of the man
is is God himself.
But on a surface level,
I wish every leader in the world would,
(33:37):
follow in those steps.
Look,
even if my intention was otherwise.
But God can take that.
And uses it
and bring something good ahead of it.
Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
But isn't it better than praying then?
Absolutely not praying at all. Exactly.
Yeah.
(33:57):
So my advice to Australia, to Europe,
especially, and to Canada,
do what Donald Trump is doing,
because, what is in what is in Mr.
Trump's heart? Only God knows.
And what is in my heart
and and your heart only God knows.
So the only one who is the true
(34:18):
judge is God.
We cannot judge,
and if we judge, we only judge
at a service level.
And a service level is nowhere near
what the whole picture is all about.
But at a service level,
if I see a president
of the most powerful nation in the world
praying before commencing
their day to day work,
let every president and every
(34:38):
Prime Minister do the same.
I pray for that.
Why not?
So I pray
Australia comes back
to Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
I pray Europe
comes back to Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
I pray Canada comes back
to Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
because simply there is no one but him.
He's the only way
and he's the only truth,
(34:59):
and he's the only life.
You hold on to him.
You'll never go wrong.
It is Christ who protects that nation.
That is Christ
who protects that human being.
And if that human being
is a president or a king, or
a prime minister,
or a pope or a Patrick in the church,
(35:20):
it is Christ, my beloved, no one else.
So I pray everybody comes back to Christ
and say,
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
Amen to that.
There is nothing more beautiful
than invoking the name of God.
And to be specific about this God,
(35:41):
Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
I've said it
in in my in our sermons before
I said, Mr.
Trump, when you become the president
of the United States of America,
and I pray for that,
when you say, May God bless America,
be specific and say,
May God, who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
bless America,
because now you are specifying
(36:01):
which God you're talking about
and which God you're referring to,
and you should never be ashamed
of invoking the name of Jesus Christ
as the true divine God.
For he is God revealed in the flesh.
All glory to his holy and mighty name.
Amen, Amen.
So do you think, that the world
is shifting to Christianity
(36:22):
because they're saying, apparently China?
I saw a post saying that China
is going to have
the most Christians in the world
in like 30 years or something,
because the rate of conversion
to Christianity there is so high.
They're saying in all
the Islamic countries
that the rate of conversion
to Christianity is it's not revealed,
but it's it's
behind closed doors, is is climbing.
Is that because of the global unrest
(36:43):
or is that,
you know, pushing people
to find the right answers?
Or what's your opinion
on this movement of people
trying to come to the Lord
definitely will give one last chance
to his beloved bride,
which is the Holy Apostolic
Universal Church, which is his,
mystical body.
He will give her one last chance
(37:05):
before the door of Mercy is closed.
Now, that's a very deep topic,
so I don't want to go into that for now,
but I believe
the Lord will restore his church,
and he will bring as many people
from the world
back to him
before he shuts
the door of mercy
and turns to the Israelite nation,
(37:26):
which is his beloved
church of the Old Testament
and the end of times.
So I believe the Lord will
will, will give that chance.
And that's why,
it is no surprise
that you see so many people
that are non-Christians
coming back to Christ,
because the Lord is love.
And at the end of the day,
he created us all.
So he does not want anyone to perish
(37:48):
but have everlasting life.
He needs to save us.
And that's what he came exactly to do.
So and there is no one
that can do this job
better than Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
for he is the only true Savior,
and the true
and the only true redeem
of the entire world.
I pray the whole world
come back to Christ.
I pray for that.
So on that note, if
Christ returned tomorrow,
(38:09):
what would
what do you think he would say
to the modern church?
I pray that
I don't be seen as judgmental or
kind of harsh in my word.
(38:31):
Definitely.
I don't mean that.
I'm saying it out of love and humility.
But I would, I believe personally,
the Lord will say,
what he said
to the, leader of the church of Ephesus.
I have one thing against you.
(38:53):
You have forgotten your first love.
I believe in general,
the church has walked
away from the Lord Jesus in general.
There are some wonderful church leaders.
There are some wonderful Christian,
faithful followers of Christ.
Absolutely.
But as a church,
(39:16):
focus.
I think we shifted that
from spirituality
more to materialism in recent times.
We need to come back to,
to the spiritual sense
more than ever before.
And, I always say this,
if if we were to
(39:39):
if somebody asks us, can you define God
in a very,
in a nutshell, in a very sort of minute,
piece of human
intellectual capacity
in relation to the infinite God?
I would say God is love and humility.
These two pillars are foundational.
(40:00):
And in his beloved church,
the moment we lose track of true
love and true humility,
we've lost track of the true Divine God
who is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
So we need to have more genuine
love, true love in the church,
and more true humility in the church.
As church leaders, as brothers
(40:22):
in Christ,
we should not fight other positions.
We should not fight over
who should be seen in the picture
and who should not be
seen in the picture,
and we should not chase
materialistic things.
Our power is when Christ is glorified
as his beloved children.
This is the church that is triumphant.
(40:42):
Not when it's rich with material
and poor with spirituality.
So modern church,
come back to Christ and be more humble.
And there are
some churches
that blatantly go against
Christian teaching
by like being moved by the times,
like some churches have put rainbow
flags or, are being like
(41:03):
accepting of,
you know, same sex marriages
or things like that.
What what do you think?
What do you think
Jesus would say to churches like that?
Away with you evil doers.
I do not know who you are.
Matthew 25.
The door is shut in your face.
And my advice with love and humility,
(41:24):
repent and come back from this dark way
before it's too late
and I would not refer to those places
as a church.
It cannot be the Church of Christ
having that kind of,
an identity to itself.
No, that is an absolute shameful thing
and an embarrassment.
Yeah. I'm. Yes.
(41:46):
So I'm definitely not a church.
What would you say to priests who,
what would you say to priests
who avoid controversial topics
in order to say, protect their image?
Because you're definitely
someone who doesn't do that.
You speak the truth
and you're very candid.
So what would you say
to someone who sort of tends
to steer away from that
in order to make their image
or not even make their image better,
(42:06):
but also maybe not turn away people.
They think that being too
blatant might turn away, push them away?
Yeah.
We need to remind ourselves,
the church we go
to, it's not mine, it's Christ's.
The house we go to.
It is not mine.
It is Christ. It's God's house.
The the position I'm in.
It's not mine. It's the Lord's.
(42:27):
Everything is his.
Therefore,
why are you putting your place
yourself and the place of Christ?
Are you trying to play it safe?
Was the Lord Jesus, you know,
very considerate
of what people might think.
Oh, he said I came to do
the will of my father,
and he and the Lord knew exactly what
(42:49):
what will happen to him
if he spoke in this particular way.
But he never hesitated,
nor gave it a second thought,
but he spoke it as it is,
because the truth can only be spoken
as the truth. Why?
The truth is light.
You can't hide the light no matter what
you do.
When the sun rises.
(43:10):
Darkness can't cover that.
Light can't cover him.
So how you can't be politically correct
when you speak about the truth.
But if you are living in the world
and living for the world,
then you will be considered
of what people of the world might think
and might say and might perceive you as.
But since it's not about you,
it's about the Lord,
(43:30):
then you better speak
how the Lord would speak,
because the Lord has put you there
to speak about him, not about you.
Or he didn't
put you there for you to think
how to think about the Lord
and how to,
you know, give him to the world.
That's not your job.
Your job is to say, Lord, I'm here.
Use me as you please.
It is the Lord who speaks through you.
You don't, make the Lord
(43:53):
tailored to your own sort of fit.
You know, Christ
will never follow nobody.
So if we're going to create
a Christ that will follow us,
then that's a fact. Christ.
Christ will always must be followed.
So this is another problem
of the church of the modern church.
We have created a fake Christ
(44:13):
where he follows us
rather than us following him.
The Lord Jesus will always be
the good Shepherd,
and the word, the meaning,
the only true shepherd,
because everybody's failed,
the only one who is sinless
and who did the will of God to
the fullest is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
And that's why he referred to himself
in John chapter ten.
(44:34):
I am the good Shepherd,
and the word good
only applies to God,
because there is no one good but God.
The Holy Bible teaches us
so when he says, when the Lord says,
I am the good
Shepherd, he's saying,
I am the only God
that can lead you to green pastures
and still waters.
So when
when you speak about the Lord,
(44:54):
don't ever put yourself in his position
and say,
this is the way
I'm going to talk about the Lord.
Now the Lord says, all I need from you
is, let me dwell in you,
and let me speak through you freely.
The moment
I see
you want to speak about me your way,
I know you are.
I can't use you.
(45:15):
It is either me all or is none.
Yeah.
God will never settle for 50, 50, 99.99%.
The Lord will say it's
either 100%, my dear friend
or forget about it.
I'm going to go and find someone else.
So the advice would be
for church leaders.
They have to be a mirror for Christ,
not project their own version of Christ
(45:36):
to other people. Other.
That's more acceptable,
a more acceptable version.
Otherwise,
how will this verse apply to
church leaders?
When the Lord said to the apostles,
you are the light of the world,
what now for the Lord to say,
you are the light of the world?
That just telling me one thing,
the world is dark.
If I'm going to imitate the world,
then how am I reflecting Christ in?
(45:57):
And if I imitating darkness, when will
the world wake up to the light?
And how is the Lord going to save
if I don't
take that light where it's most needed?
So my role as a church
leader is to bring the light
to where darkness is not,
decide how to bring the light.
(46:19):
No, no, I just carry the light.
The light knows how to how to talk
and how to make that dark place shine.
It's his role in the for me on that road
with, we've obviously spoken
about the big church leaders.
Do you
what's your views on the new
Catholic pope?
Do you know much about him at all?
(46:41):
No, not at all.
Honestly, I, I just came to know of him
when he was elected.
My sort of,
role is very full.
I have a very, very full schedule,
so I don't have much time to sort of
go on and research.
I look up, to be honest.
(47:01):
But, obviously when when he was chosen
and was
when he was appointed,
on the,
on the, on in as the pope of Rome
and for the entire
our beloved Catholic church,
we just watched,
you know, a few videos about him.
One thing
I was touched by
when he was on that missionary work,
and, one of the, South American,
(47:24):
I believe, night countries
for about 20 years.
He was the bishop there,
and he did a lot of missionary work.
And I've seen some footages
where he was standing in flooded area.
You know. Absolutely.
An image reflecting humility
and an absolute concern for those people.
He he shared their agony.
He shared their pain.
(47:44):
He shared their sorrow and afflictions.
And for 20 years, he did that.
For me, that was a very long way.
Look, thus far
from what we hear and what we see
and, and again,
it's only glimpses,
I don't know, the full, you know,
scope behind it.
He seems to be a very nice pope.
I pray for him.
(48:04):
I wish him all the very best.
I pray that the Lord Jesus protects him,
guide him, and and lead him,
you know, in the right way where he can,
shepherd the flock of Christ
and bring the entire flock
to the Lord Jesus.
I pray that
the Lord is glorified through him
because, we should be proud
(48:25):
when we see any church leader,
being loving
and caring for the flock of Christ
and sacrificing
for the flock of Christ
like Pope Shenouda the Third. Did
I pray,
I pray, I pray
every leader, walk in those footsteps.
But that that is
that is an absolute honor
(48:45):
for all Christians.
We need to put aside
our denominational indifference
when I need to look at it as a Christian,
and Christian succeeds, it is my success.
And any Christian's failure,
it is my failure.
So
I pray
the Pope is successful in his role.
(49:08):
Then I am successful
even if I'm not Catholic.
But doesn't matter. He's Christian.
At the end of the day,
and he is purchased
by the blood of the Lamb of God,
and he is here to serve the Lord.
I pray fervently that, Pope Leo,
the 14th is
(49:29):
the best shepherd of the 21st century.
I pray
it's an honor
and a privilege for all of us.
I wish him all the best. Amen.
Well, he's going to have a hard task
because there's
a lot of progressive ideas,
which I want to get into that.
And I ask him to pray for me.
Yeah, I ask him.
I pray he hears us, and I ask him humbly,
Your holiness,
(49:49):
our beloved father, to pray
for all of us as well.
Remember us,
you know,
in your in your in your prayer,
in private prayers
throughout liturgical services.
Pray for us, dear Pope,
our beloved pope, pray for us. Amen.
So yeah,
he he's going to be faced
with a lot of things
just as I believe you are.
And I think one of those topics,
(50:11):
we'll discuss a few topics
now, but one of the massive ones
that is getting a lot of light lately
because there's been some, stuff
in the media about it,
especially is abortion.
So right now there was,
something that came up recently
where someone was speaking very casually
about abortion
and it's kind of sent shockwaves
throughout the internet
(50:31):
because people at some
people are on one side
where they're like,
yeah, she should be able to speak
so casually about it because,
you know, it's her body.
It's her choice.
And she shouldn't be judged at all.
And then other people were saying,
you know,
a bit more in the middle
there, like,
look, it's her body, her choice,
but maybe be a bit respectful
because it's a serious topic.
And then the other people
that are just outraged,
like how this is killing babies,
(50:52):
this is murder.
So what would you
what's your point of view
on the concept of abortion?
Is it ever acceptable?
Is it,
complete blanket avoid at all costs?
Look, I believe,
as far as
the secular world is concerned,
if any, if any person is living
(51:13):
in this world for this world, and,
if they choose to do something
now, that's their choice
at the end of the day.
But where I see it, very unfair
and very unjustified is when they impose
that kind of a belief on on others who
see it as it's an offense
(51:34):
to their own face,
to their own belief system. Okay.
So on one hand,
speaking of the Western world,
if we are talking about democracy,
and freedom of speech
and freedom of religion,
then where is that fine line, between,
doing things that you wish to do
and not imposing it on others?
(51:55):
So, okay,
if somebody doesn't believe
and if somebody is not a Christian.
They could be an atheist.
I don't know whatever.
And for them, abortion is normal.
Okay.
If that's your choice
and that's what you believe in
and you want to do it for yourself
privately, go for it.
But you have to answer for it later on.
(52:16):
That's
that's I'm not in a position
to go and force you not to do it.
I'll advise you not to do it,
because at the end of the day
it is murder.
Pure murder period.
It is not.
It's it's just,
a red line can't be crossed.
It's very simple.
This life you it's not yours.
Therefore you have no right to take it
(52:36):
whenever you decide to take it.
But let's say
you don't believe in God and
and you say, okay,
then I'm my own God,
and I want to do okay, fine.
You choose this God for it. You will.
You are responsible for your actions
and you will have to answer
for your actions. That's fine.
But where I can't fathom it and accept
it is when they try to impose
that kind of a law
(52:58):
on someone who is a believer
in Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
where it's and it will never be accepted,
neither now nor any time in the future.
It will.
This will never be accepted
by the Lord Jesus.
It is non-negotiable.
Forget it.
And if any person call themselves
(53:18):
a Christian and allow it,
accepts it,
you've denied your Messiah forever.
You're in deep trouble.
So. Okay.
It's incredible.
You know?
But the attack against,
you know, the believers
and especially like,
(53:38):
Christians, is sort of being rampant
and the end of types,
the enemy is behind it,
but the Lord is always triumphant
at the end of the day.
But, abortion
obviously is is not acceptable,
by the Christian faith
and by the honor of the Christian faith,
the Lord Jesus. It's impossible.
He will ever accept that.
In fact, the Ten Commandments,
(53:59):
one of them says, do not kill.
Period.
That will never change.
It's the Word of God.
God never changes his mind.
Yeah, I heard someone say before that,
the devil really pushes abortion
because it knows that it hurts
the heart of the father the most.
When we take a life that's sacrifice.
Human sacrifice.
Absolutely true. Yeah.
(54:20):
And it strengthens Satan. Unfortunately.
That's why there
are some people that,
offer human beings the
sacrifices to the enemy.
Unfortunately, you know,
because that he gains more momentum
and more power this way.
But we need to come back, and
and that's why
the church needs to come back
(54:40):
and be more prayerful.
You know, we need to be more humble.
We need to come back to the true Messiah
and humble ourselves before him.
So that way, the Holy Spirit begins
to work ever so more powerfully
and stop this evil, evil agenda.
My goodness there, evil agendas, evil.
(55:02):
So I just want to ask on that point
because of course
100% abortion is wrong,
but there might be someone watching
that might be
and this is very small cases.
I mean, a lot of the people on the left,
they argue this as the main case.
What if someone was raped?
What if someone,
was raped by a family member
and the kid was going to be deformed
or something like that?
That's that's the left mentality.
They find the the rarest, smallest cases
(55:25):
and they put that forward
to justify the whole,
which is mainly people just don't find it
convenient to have kids.
But if there is someone
in that specific predicament,
what would be your advice to them?
Knowing that it's wrong,
but also knowing that
they might be scarred or damaged?
You never know
that that child that will come.
(55:45):
Maybe the ultimate blessing for you.
Maybe this is the way
God is going to bless you.
Look,
the only time
this is probably permissible
is when there is when the mother exposed,
you know, to danger of losing her life
like on a medical basis
where the doctors will come and say if,
(56:07):
if this baby is not aborted it,
you know, it's going to kill the mother.
And this is the like
a number of doctors would agree to this.
Then the mother would come first.
The mother's life must be preserved
and protected.
First and foremost.
So if there is any danger
to the mother's life, medically speaking,
(56:29):
and it is proven
and there is,
you know, clear evidence to that.
And, and a number of doctors agree
that this is the case, then, yes,
it may be permissible
if this is going to end up
killing that mother. Other than that,
no harm, no
portion is, it's a very big topic.
(56:51):
Yes.
Thank you for addressing those
because we have had questions
about the on on that topic of struggles.
Another another thing
that people have asked us
to want to address with you
is the topic of pornography.
With pornography, it's
obviously
one of the biggest hidden struggles
that a lot of people suffer,
both men and women today. Yes.
(57:12):
I, George and I were reading before this
interview that around 70, 80% of men
and about 30 to 50% of women
watch it regularly.
And some,
some age,
some people get exposed to it
as young as 11 years old.
So what would you say
to a Christian who's
trying to break free
from this, from this cycle?
(57:32):
And how can they do that?
Look,
the the
issue with
the technology of our time and age,
it influences the subconscious mind.
And, that's what it is.
The, so dangerous at its best
(57:53):
because the human being
has only control over
the rational conscience mind,
not the subconscious.
So when when you are watching something,
whatever that thing is,
and since you're
talking about pornography,
if you're watching something as such,
that image that you are watching,
(58:15):
it actually passes.
It overrides the rational
and it goes straight
into the subconscious mind.
It's like the, like a hypnosis
kind of a wave, hypnotic.
So watching a TV, what if,
you know,
or even on the mobile, on Facebook
(58:36):
or on Instagram,
whichever social media platform
you're exposing yourself to.
And this is where the book of revelation
often,
alludes to in chapter 13, more so,
where it talks about,
you know, the beast
that comes out of the sea,
and then it talks about the,
the false prophet
that comes out of the land.
Now, what did the false prophet
(58:57):
that came out of the land do?
He made an image of the first beast
that came out of the sea, and he
he blew into that image
and made it become alive,
not in an animated way,
but in a more realistic way.
So read revelation 13,
(59:18):
which was written by John
the Beloved around 95 180.
He was speaking precisely
about the 21st century
more than any other centuries. Why?
Because he's talking about TVs
and all these social media platforms
that technology.
And what is that image
(59:39):
that he made of the beast?
And he blew like a spirit into it
and it became alive
is when you see people
appearing on a screen.
That is
when you see a person
appearing on a screen,
it's like a spirit.
You don't see them three dimensional.
You see them flat is like a spirit. Yes.
(59:59):
Not three dimensional,
but that spirit is not a statue.
That spirit is not
animated is a real real figure.
So so John the Beloved was saying,
Satan will use technology
in the end of times to brainwash people.
You see
TV when it began in 1947, in America,
(01:00:21):
it was black and white,
and it was only two Christian channels.
When the presenter,
especially a female,
would come out on that Christian channel,
which was black and white,
she would be covered more than Bishop
Marie is
more than Bishop Marie is
since 1947 to now.
(01:00:42):
When a presenter comes out, they come out
barely covered with doodles.
This is the image which the false prophet
made of the first beast
that came out of the sea,
and he forced the whole world
to worship this image.
So many millions upon millions
upon billions of people
(01:01:03):
watch things that they should not watch.
The danger of this technology
is one thing.
It it sends a hypnotic wave.
Hypnotic wave.
You know,
when you go to somebody
and they use this hypnosis method,
why do they put you to sleep?
But you're still awake?
You're asleep, but you're alert
when they talk to you.
(01:01:24):
You talk to them.
You're not asleep.
Why?
Because they control
your subconscious mind.
They've shut down
your rational mind for a moment.
This technology, it does that
hypnotic approach.
Exactly.
So those waves that
come out of those screens,
they go directly or and surpass
(01:01:47):
the rational,
straight to the subconscious mind.
Now, since we don't have,
as human beings,
direct control to the subconscious,
it begins to shape, form
and mold the subconscious mind.
Yet we have no control over that.
The more we expose ourselves to things
we should never expose ourselves to,
(01:02:09):
the more it starts
shaping the subconscious.
Guess what?
After a little while, the subconscious.
Eventually it will have to, pour itself
into the rational
when it pours itself into the rational.
You are controlled
(01:02:29):
by what
the subconscious reveals, so that the
so the conscience, you can't stop it.
So dangerous.
So when it does that the rational will do
what the subconscious just gave it.
So what you watched,
you will implement
literally,
(01:02:51):
and that's
why people go to the wrong places
for the wrong reasons,
because they watched it.
Now they are practicing it
physically, literally.
And this is where Saint Paul
talks about this
so beautifully
in his Epistle to the Romans, chapter 12,
(01:03:12):
when he says, my brethren,
I beseech you to offer your your bodies
as a sick, as a living sacrifice.
And then he says,
do not be conformed to the world.
What is the world evil?
And why is it evil?
(01:03:32):
Because the world
is placed in the bosom of Satan.
And the Greek translation
it is not place in Satan in his bosom,
not Satan is in control,
but it is in the bosom of Satan, meaning
he's embracing the world.
You know when you see it
and you embrace something,
you are so in control.
You're so comfortable.
(01:03:52):
That's it. You've got it.
You you don't need to work hard anymore.
It is sitting in your lap.
That's what Satan has done to the world.
So he will put every poison to the world
because he is the old snake.
What do you get out of a snake?
Nothing but poison.
Technology is used in the 21st century
(01:04:15):
by Satan to poison
the subconscious
mind of every human being.
So Saint Paul says,
do not be conformed to the world.
Don't be like the world,
but rather transformed.
And then the question is simple
how do I get transformed?
(01:04:35):
How do I change
from a worldly
being into a spiritual being?
How do I come out of this
sick, filthy, evil world?
Saint Paul, he says,
but rather be transformed
by the renewing of your mind,
because that's what it all started.
(01:04:55):
It started in the mind.
Must you must go back to the mind
by the renewing of your mind.
Now the word renew is a compounded word.
There is the re prefix to go back,
and the word new here
is not new in the sense of something up.
Brand new for the first time ever,
(01:05:16):
no new here literally means origin,
he says by the renewing of your mind,
you are only being able
to be transformed, rather conformed.
So he says, go back to
your origin,
renew, go back to your origin.
What is my and your origin?
(01:05:36):
God.
In the beginning,
God Elohim
created the heavens and the earth.
He says,
when an idea gets into your subconscious,
the only one who can get it out of
there is God.
You see,
there are certain things in life
you cannot kill,
and if it is the top of the list
(01:05:57):
which you can't definitely kill,
and this life is what we call an idea.
Idea can never be killed.
And that's where ideology comes from.
The word idea turned into an ideology.
So when you look at that idea,
if you try to fight it
and some people try to fight pornography,
(01:06:19):
I'm going to stop myself.
I'm not going to do it.
I'm not going to do it.
And the more they fight it,
the more they fall into it. Why?
Because you're trying to kill something
that can never be killed.
You're wasting your energy, your breath,
and you getting weaker
and weaker and weaker.
And obviously only one thing is going to
you're going to end up
with falling
into that ditch deeper and deeper.
(01:06:40):
So what do you need to do now?
The only way to kill that idea
is to replace it with another idea,
to replace it with another idea.
And the only clean, pure, sincere,
honest, true idea is the Word of God,
the Holy Bible.
(01:07:01):
You want to give up on pornography?
Don't fight it.
Start reading the Holy Bible.
You.
That idea of God
which is placed in that book
called the Holy Book,
the Holy Bible,
that idea starts
entering that subconscious
and it will start reshaping it
and cleansing it.
And like a washing machine, no,
(01:07:22):
it will get rid of all the dirt.
And before you know it,
the intellect now is safe and sound.
Next time you look, you'll suffocate.
Well, he says, it's like a movie.
He asks you a question,
he takes you from the start,
gets you all the way through here.
Maybe you're sick of the whole thing now.
But this is the only way.
(01:07:43):
Suddenly.
And it's with any other addiction
and I call it addiction
and it's with any other addiction.
The Word of God is the only way
to be set free from the bondage of Satan.
That's the only way you think.
Any addiction can't be stopped
or every addiction.
Nothing stands on the Lord's way.
(01:08:05):
Nothing solutely
so last time.
I love hate
you gave us this advice the last time.
Actually, one of the most viral clips
that we took from
our last interview was advice
on how to be a good man.
So I think what we want to do
this time is have
a little segment with you
now where we ask
Bishop ma murray's advice to something.
(01:08:28):
So I'll let Simon get into it
and ask you the points.
I'll start
because so
do you want a ten hour
reply or a second reply
however you want to go with it?
But there's quite a few,
so I'll say it's more applicable to me.
What's bishop. My motive?
I got that degree.
Yeah,
well, it's Bishop Barbara's
advice to young men in the world.
Embed yourself in the truth.
(01:08:50):
Be familiar
with the word of the Lord Jesus,
as we mentioned.
Just just then, Jesus Christ,
get to know him,
get to know him, build a relationship and
and a personal, intimate relationship.
You see, Christ, his life.
Don't talk about it.
Can't talk about life.
Life can only be lived.
(01:09:10):
Life cannot be taught
at any university level.
Life is not a book
you pick up as a topic, as a subject.
Life is not a sermon.
Life is not a song.
Life is life.
And the only thing you can do
with life is live it.
Christ wants you to live him.
Stop talking.
Live him,
stop talking.
Your turn.
(01:09:31):
So advice to young women.
There is a saying in Arabic.
I will, address that one
is, that, that
that have been by Arati,
(01:09:51):
this female,
this my beloved daughter,
my beloved sister.
One day she gets married,
she becomes a wife,
then a child comes from a wife.
She becomes a mother.
That mother,
according to the saying that
(01:10:12):
I just mentioned in Arabic
that saying says the mother
is the school.
If you've prepared
this mother,
you've prepared a school
where it gives this curriculum
that will generate a society
so, so successful.
(01:10:32):
Well.
Proverbs 3110
A virtuous woman who can find
King Solomon,
which teaches you wisdom on earth.
He says, a virtuous woman
who can find he says,
if you can find a virtuous woman.
(01:10:52):
And the word
virtuous means fearing the Lord,
loving the Lord Jesus,
my beloved daughter.
Get to learn how to love Christ.
You will change the whole society,
and the whole world eventually
love the Lord.
(01:11:12):
And he said,
sure, women have all the power.
What's your advice to husbands?
Who?
Husband
must be submissive to Christ.
If the husband,
is close to the Lord Jesus,
(01:11:33):
submissive to his word,
makes the Lord Jesus
the head of that household.
He will never, ever go wrong in his life.
Never.
He will save himself
and save his entire family,
his wife and their children.
He will save it all.
What's your advice
(01:11:53):
on how a husband should treat his wife?
The way Christ treats the church?
Does anybody, anybody hate their body?
Now, everybody wants to be healthy.
You know, we go on, we go and research
for all these dietary, you know, things.
And I need to eat this measure
and do do this measure and take this.
I'll have a cashew
(01:12:13):
and I'll have an apple and I have this,
because I want to lose weight.
There is a wedding approaching.
I need to lose a couple of weight.
A couple of kilos,
and I'm going to look handsome
and do that and do and stretch my face.
And I don't know what else,
but I go to Istanbul to have a facelift
anyway.
So we focus so much on our bodies.
Why? Because I want to be healthy. Why?
Because I want to live
(01:12:34):
life to the fullest.
Well, we don't hate our body. Guess what?
That body is your wife.
If you don't hate your body,
if you love your body,
then you need to love your wife.
That way you love yourself.
So the keyword is love but not any love.
(01:12:56):
It's got to come back to the true
genuine love
which is only found in
Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Period.
On the topic of couples now
with fathers and mothers,
what should be a father's number one role
and what should be a mother's
number one role in their life,
(01:13:16):
fathers and mothers,
the number one thing
role as as you mentioned,
the word father mother
is to embed Christ in their children.
That's the number one thing.
If I give them the Lord Jesus,
I have one them
for eternity.
(01:13:37):
And let me
tell you,
the only inheritance in the next life
the father and the mother will ever have
is their children.
When they bring their children
with them to heaven.
This is the only inheritance,
not how many millions
I had in the bank account,
or how many Ferraris I drove
and how many mansions.
No, no, no, this is
all is going to stay here,
my dear friend.
I came from my mother's
(01:13:59):
womb empty handed,
and it is also known
that I will go back to my Mother
Earth empty handed.
The only inheritance as parents
that I will take with me to heaven
are the children.
When I bring them to Christ.
The Lord says,
I entrusted you with them,
and I expected you
to give them back to me at the end.
If you've done so,
then you are the true faithful servant.
(01:14:19):
Come and inherit
the kingdom of your father
that was created,
you know, prepared for you
before the creation of the world.
So in bed,
Christ in them, and so foundational,
so crucial that from that very early age.
And maybe we mentioned it last episode,
the first three years after birth,
it's a must.
(01:14:40):
I need to embed Christ in them
because that will never go in vain.
The Lord promises this.
It will never go in vain.
No matter what happens,
the Lord will bring those children back
even if they veer off.
But what you've done
to that child at that early stage,
so important to the Lord Jesus,
(01:15:01):
he'll bring them back to him later on.
Beautiful.
So we missed the wife.
So what would be your advice to a wife?
And also,
how should a wife treat her husband?
Obviously in Christianity,
the Holy Bible teaches is that God
says about marriage
(01:15:22):
the two are no longer two,
but they are one.
And this is how God is beautiful
in his, in his mathematics.
So when he go to God
and he teaches you his mathematics,
it's totally different
and opposite to the world's mathematics.
The world will say one
plus one equals two. That's the logic.
But God says so beautifully,
one plus one equals one,
but a much better one
and a much stronger one.
(01:15:42):
So when the husband and wife
treat each other as one unit,
not you and me, me
and you pointing the finger
at each other. No.
But when?
When the wife looks at the husband
and sees herself,
and when the husband looks at the wife
and sees himself,
I believe this is unity.
So when the two became one,
(01:16:02):
what God is saying
as far as love and respect are concerned,
there is no difference
between the husband and the wife.
Both of them need to love and respect
one another equally.
But as far as duties and obligations,
no, they are never the same.
The man can never be the woman,
and the woman can never be the men.
It is only Adam and Steve,
(01:16:23):
the Adam and Adam and Eve.
Sorry, obviously.
What was the 21st century?
You know, 20, 25?
It is only Adam and Eve, all right?
It will never, ever be Adam and Eve.
So it has to be Adam and Eve.
Obligations. Duties
must be different.
We are in trouble
if we are going to say we are equal.
(01:16:43):
Don't ever fall into this trap.
You see,
sometimes the woman will come and say,
you work to them, husband.
You work, I work. What's the difference?
No you're not.
You know the man and the man.
You're not the woman.
So as far as obligations and duties,
we are definitely different.
But as far as love and respect,
we are definitely equal.
(01:17:03):
So I respect your husband and and advice
when the children come later on
at the children are very smart
so they know which parent is the softer,
you know, sight.
So they will run to that softer
side to get away with their naughty,
you know, things
when when the child comes to the mother
(01:17:25):
and says,
mom, can I have this?
The mother should ask,
did your dad approve of it?
If the child says no,
the mother would love,
you know, with love and tenderness
should say my child.
(01:17:46):
Next time don't come to mama and ask,
can I have it
since dad said to,
you know, because when that talks I talk.
And when I talk also dad talks.
When both parents
reflect this to their children,
they will be submissive to both parents.
(01:18:07):
Don't ever say,
don't worry about your dad. Come to me.
I'll give you what you want
or don't worry about your mom.
Come, come.
Your your daddy's boy
or your daddy's girl.
Don't ever do that.
You've ruined them
because what you taught them.
No, they will teach their children
later on.
And the mistake will carry on
from generation to generation.
We need to stop it. What?
What that says, mom says.
(01:18:28):
And what mom says that says this.
We leave no room
for the children to be anymore.
Cheeky and their cute way. Yes.
Very true.
What about married
couples on the flip side
that are struggling in their marriage,
what advice do you have for them?
The last thing you go is seek
(01:18:48):
advice from your own parents.
Don't ever involve that
with and say good with love and respect
because I don't want to be
smacked by that,
by them,
by the beautiful mother in law,
which I love and adore, immensely.
And I pray for every mother in law.
Yes, she's she's cute.
But don't ever go to your own parents
(01:19:09):
and say, shall I leave him?
And what do I do?
Or one of the one of the grievous
things they, any, any
married person does is they go
and dob the,
their partner to their parents,
you know,
like the son will go to his mama.
Say, did you know what my wife said
about you, for example?
(01:19:30):
Or did you know my wife went
and changed the furniture?
That you this you chose for me?
It's definitely not, you know.
Yes. Or no?
Don't ever involve parents.
Reason for two. Two.
There are more reasons, but
the most important two reasons.
Number one,
it is only natural.
Parents will tend to lean
(01:19:50):
towards their own child
rather than the other side.
It's only natural.
Secondly,
why would you want to,
reflect a wrong image and put this bad
image in your mum's head
or your dad's head toward your partner?
Don't ever do that.
If you had an argument at home
behind closed doors
between the two of you, only God sees.
(01:20:11):
Leave it there.
When you leave that door.
That marital life is based on secrecy.
It is sacred and it is secret.
So therefore,
whatever happens behind those close
marital doors,
that's what it should stay.
Imagine, let's say,
far from every married married couple.
You had an argument at home,
and after that you were invited
(01:20:33):
to go,
to your in-laws
or to your family members
the moment you leave the house
and you go together,
when they ask you, how are you to doing?
Say, it couldn't be any better.
But we just plugged
each other's feathers.
Leave it behind. Closed doors.
Nobody saw except God.
(01:20:53):
Leave it with between you and God.
Don't let anyone know.
The only time
when you see
you are not able to resolve it.
You need to go back
to your spiritual mother
that gave birth to you initially
and married you, which is the church.
And speak to your confessional father
to your spiritual father
and leave it there,
(01:21:13):
because that's where the secret stays
the moment it leaves the door.
It is
almost impossible to
retract it beautifully.
When you involve other people,
you're asking for trouble.
Always don't seek emotional advice.
Seek spiritual advice
based on and built on the rock.
(01:21:36):
Amen.
I think I might fall into this category.
So the advice that I want to ask
you personally is
what about parents
that are overwhelmed
with their kids, maybe
lack of sleep,
you know, a lot of responsibilities.
This is a confessional.
Yeah. I'm having
well, you see, this is where,
when when that
(01:21:58):
that couple come initially,
prior to marriage.
That's why
the church needs to sit
and go through what marriage is.
And marriage is a huge responsibility
because now
you are making a difference in that,
as we said, society.
And that in that culture and that
and that world, your and
(01:22:19):
that,
that family is the church.
That's what it begins.
So,
what was I going to say?
So yeah, the advice is
marriage should never be taken lightly.
In fact, marriage complicates
(01:22:40):
things, to say the least.
If anything, it complicates things.
I'll give you an example,
and maybe I'll share this example out.
And,
I like to repeat things sometimes
because to make more emphasis
on things that sometimes it gets through
people's heads, you know,
with what love of respect I say that,
so imagine, had a fiancรฉ,
(01:23:01):
kind of a level,
you know,
very at an engagement level,
I call it the Rosala stage,
you know,
and this young man
and this young woman,
they're engaged now.
Everything is beautiful.
They flying high.
It's like the rosella tutu, tutu, tutu,
lovey dovey.
You know,
everything is cruising down the highway.
It's all sweet and beautiful.
(01:23:22):
So let's say,
you know,
they sitting in the midst
of a group of people and the the men,
the fiancรฉ says a joke, and it's
it's not funny at all.
Nobody laughs
except the his, his sweetheart, Juliet.
She laughs.
He said, look at my sweetheart.
What kind of what a beautiful joke.
How cute and how funny that was.
(01:23:43):
After marriage, he says the same joke.
She puts his head through the picture.
Don't you ever say that joke again.
Next time you say it,
you're going to stay with your mother.
And it's no longer funny.
Why?
Because marriage
makes things no longer funny.
That's why it's not a holiday.
(01:24:06):
To getting married
and dancing is going to stay at that.
Rosala stage.
You know I say
the rest of the Rosala stage
the heart is awake
and the intellect is asleep.
After
honeymoon
the heart starts going to sleep
and the intellect wakes up and he says,
going to.
(01:24:26):
You must have your abortion.
Lord have mercy, Lord, please save me.
And then you come to Bishop Maria.
Say, Mother Mary,
can you please
get me out of this trouble?
I say,
I say to you, I do not know who you are.
I'll pray for you, my dear son.
My dear daughter.
Now. Just kidding.
But we need to come into this,
(01:24:50):
realization that marriage
is a huge responsibility
because we are raising a generation
that will, either serve God or deny God.
So the parents
that, like back to the question,
the parents
that may be really overwhelmed with kids
and just like don't have time
for the spiritual life,
don't have time for each other
(01:25:10):
because, you know, it's
just you get kind of sucked into this.
Like,
don't get me wrong, kids are beautiful.
Biggest blessings. Love them to death.
But it's just so, like, it overtakes you
sometimes when you when you,
especially as a man and you're working
and you're trying to provide
and then you have
all these responsibilities for your kids,
and maybe the kids are not easy
(01:25:30):
in terms of their sleep schedules.
So it's very easy
to get overwhelmed with that pressure.
And then obviously
you start lacking in other areas,
maybe your spiritual life maybe,
or your, taking care of your wife
and spending quality time with her.
So someone who's a bit overwhelmed
and kind of feels like
it's out of their hands because,
you know,
all it takes
is one kid to be sick for three days
(01:25:51):
and not in daycare,
and then the whole world upside down.
And and I'm with you.
But, you see, my advice to the,
to the father and the mother here,
don't ever lose track
that you are still husband and wife.
See what happens when the children come
all of a sudden,
we start looking at each other.
(01:26:12):
Got your dad or got your mom?
The name husband and wife.
This it is.
So the moment we
lose track of that,
we are now asking for trouble.
And this is where the,
in-laws come extremely handy.
So keep your,
you know, your peace
with them always, love.
(01:26:32):
And I'll say this from
the bottom of my heart.
My beloved son and my beloved daughter.
Your in-laws are your parents.
Take them as your parents.
Love them as your parents.
Respect them.
Honor them as your parents,
and vice versa.
My beloveds,
don't ever say these are my in-laws.
Don't use in-laws.
Say they are my mom and dad.
No difference
(01:26:53):
to my natural biological parents.
These are my my my parents as well.
Treat them equally.
Love them equally.
See them like your own parents
because that's the truth.
And this is what Christ taught us to
to do.
So, so, so it is good and healthy.
Sometimes we leave the children
(01:27:14):
with the grandparents,
and the grandparents love it.
They enjoy the presence
of their grandchildren.
Go out,
make time for you to be once again
husband and wife.
Enough of the mother.
It's not healthy to be father.
Mother always.
What will happen?
You'll fall into this routine.
(01:27:34):
Lifestyle
and routine
is one of the most dangerous things
that starts killing that love gradually
between the two of you.
So take them to your
to your parents daughter,
or take them to your parents
my son and say, please
mom and dad, can
you look after them
for a couple of hours?
I'm taking my Juliet out
(01:27:57):
for a nice dinner.
Spend that hour or two.
With your
with your love.
Go back to that day
when your eyes fell on her
and you fell in love with her.
Go back to that moment.
Because when you bring those
(01:28:18):
memories back
and put them into action,
into actual reality,
a tangible reality, once again,
you are reminding yourself
that you are still,
that couple that fell in love
and you are at that honeymoon stage,
then it boosts you up.
It strengthens you once again,
and you'll say, you know what?
(01:28:38):
It's all right.
We've got each other's back. No worry.
We'll look after
the kids and our problems
and then take them to church.
I know a lot of times we take our kids
to sports, to music lessons, dancing.
But why don't we take them
to Sunday school?
And when?
Sunday comes, all of a sudden
the parents are tired.
(01:28:58):
They worked five, six days
and then they take them in the evening
throughout the weekdays
for sport
and dancing and music and all that.
When Sunday comes all of a sudden
I am extremely tired.
I can't be bothered.
Maybe next Sunday and maybe next Sunday.
No, no no, no, you need to take them.
If there is a place
that you need to prioritize
for your children to be in
(01:29:19):
is in the presence of the Lord Jesus.
So don't ever be lethargic
when it comes to taking your children
to Sunday school.
That's when it is the most important
and crucial time in their life
to be in the presence of the Lord,
along with their parents. Very vital,
I think,
George set this one
up for me on purpose.
But what's your advice
for single people
(01:29:40):
looking to find their their true love,
looking to be married?
Stay as you are.
Ask those who are married.
They will advise you quite thoroughly.
Just kidding.
I just want to make you love.
And this is, I guess, my habit,
whether it's a good habit or not.
But we love it.
We love.
It's a great
my my beloved,
you know, sons and daughters,
(01:30:00):
my beloved people,
that I'm with to make them
love is going to be our favorite quote.
This very good chocolate.
But they're going to chocolates.
I think that's right.
Look,
marriage is
is beautiful,
is holy, is, is is amazing.
The holy Bible says
it's not good to be alone.
You know, the Lord Jesus,
(01:30:21):
when he came to send his disciples
and Luke chapter ten,
he sent them two at a time
because it's much better to walk
and that in that path
to together than alone.
Because if it's wildly one,
if they follow,
who is going
to put them back on their feet.
But if there is two,
if somebody falls,
the other will support the other one.
So marriage
is about sharing and caring
and being together,
(01:30:41):
supporting,
encouraging, sustaining,
carrying each other's burdens.
Good times, bad times, happy,
not happy, healthy,
not healthy, in sickness
and in richness and importance.
And all those vows that we make,
so what was I saying?
The advice to single people. Look.
Yes, single people.
(01:31:02):
Look, I would say this.
Be grateful.
No matter where you are and what say
what stage you are in.
Because if you're going to start cringing
and complaining about being a single,
let me tell you one thing.
When you get married, you may not,
realize what you were dreaming of.
So you see, we put,
we put a lot of dreams
in our, in our mind and,
(01:31:23):
and we imagined a lot of things
and we become ambitious.
You know what I wish
I get married because, you know,
it'll be amazing to be a husband
and to be a wife.
I'll have my own partner
where I can share my time with,
and I can share my ideas with
and my feelings,
and I'll have someone to lean on
when I'm.
When I want to cry.
(01:31:43):
I'll find a spot there.
But it may not be the case
because when the time comes
and you get married
and you want to feel
you want to cry on their shoulders,
they'll probably say, not now.
I'm not ready for you.
So be thankful wherever you are
and whoever you are.
Because when you're thankful as single,
you'll be thankful when you are married.
(01:32:04):
Why?
Because when you get used to thanking,
God always, it won't matter anymore.
Whether I'm single or married.
You'll be thankful.
Always know it's beautiful.
I like that.
I really like that answer. Yeah.
So different question.
What about somebody
who has been hurt by the church?
What would you give them? Advice.
(01:32:25):
Because there are people out there
that have been scarred by the church,
whether they've had a bad experience.
Yeah.
What's your advice to
someone who's been
scarred or hurt by the church,
the churches, the
as the mystical body of Christ?
The Lord Jesus says,
for example,
if they got heard by by clergy men, by
maybe the
the faithful there in the church,
(01:32:46):
you know, a home
they they've made some friends in there.
And then
at some stage
things went sour between them and,
and they got really hurt by,
by the closest friend
that they met at church.
Whatever the reason is,
don't ever,
go against the church
as that mystical body of Christ.
(01:33:07):
Don't ever do that.
You need to differentiate
between the two.
There's a fine line here, okay?
Maybe this person
who is a Christian, hurt you,
but that Christian person is a human
being, is very weak.
But don't go against Christ.
Christ gave everything the church wanted.
And the church will always be holy.
(01:33:29):
Because it's the it's
is the mystical body of Christ.
But the people that are in the church
are not always holy.
So that's where we lack
and we fall short of that glory.
So when you are mistreated
by certain people,
whether they are laity,
if I may say this terminology,
all clergymen
as the and we are human beings, but
(01:33:50):
Christ is the perfect one,
is the perfect Lamb of God.
So you may be heard by people, but
don't walk away from Christ
for the sake of someone like me.
Don't ever do that.
Yeah, it's common
that there are some times people
that have a certain expectation
and that expectation isn't met
on, for example, on a clergy member,
you know,
they were going through something,
(01:34:11):
they expected a certain response
or a certain level of support
that they didn't reach.
I think it's too much emphasis,
like the priests,
or the bishop
or the clergyman
are there to help and to guide,
but we shouldn't.
Our reliance is on Christ, you know.
Amen, amen, amen.
I mean, I mean, one day
I was, was many, many years back.
I was listening to, to Pope Shenouda
(01:34:33):
and somebody send him a question,
you know, on Wednesdays
when he would give that
those beautiful sermons. Right.
So he said, say, you know,
I'm not comfortable
with my confessional father.
He said, my son, find another one.
That's okay.
You're not comfortable with this one?
I'm sure there is another confessional,
(01:34:53):
father that you would be
when you find,
the a priest,
that is, you're comfortable with.
Stick to that one. Don't change.
So if I'm not comfortable
sort of here, like seek another priest.
That's okay. It's okay.
But don't leave.
Christ. Yeah, yeah.
So we actually had someone
reach out to us,
that's watched our podcast,
(01:35:14):
and they were involved in some witchcraft
or demonic things.
And they started to get nightmares,
and the kids were starting
to get tormented.
So, they reached out to us
for some advice.
We we referred it
to the priest of our church,
and they gave some good advice.
Yes.
But,
what what would be your advice
if someone who has dabbled
(01:35:35):
in these kind of things and,
and they're starting to feel the burden
or pressure of it,
taking hold of them,
what's your advice for them
to come back to Christ?
The gave authority
to the priesthood rank, to cast out
any and every evil, attacks
or any evil doing against that person?
(01:35:55):
The Lord gave that authority
to the priesthood rank, and he said,
I give you authority, to
to trample of, snakes and scorpions.
And even if you drink
the poison of the snake,
nothing will harm you.
So, that
the authority is given to the priesthood
rank, and and the Lord says, if you
(01:36:16):
if you loosen,
and John chapter 20 and verse 23,
it says, if you if you loosen their sins,
their sins are forgiven,
but if you hold it against them,
it will be held against him.
And that is the authority
of the priesthood,
a rank the Lord gave to his apostles,
and the ones who chose their after.
So, go to a church,
(01:36:38):
to an apostolic church
and seek a priest,
and let them pray over you.
And by
by the grace of the Lord
and the power of the Holy Spirit, love
and the love of God the Father
and the sacrificial Lamb of God,
the Triune God.
In Jesus mighty name we pray.
And the authority of the priesthood rank
giving to the apostles and the
(01:37:00):
those who succeeded them thereafter.
Those powers will be, put to shame.
So they need to be close to the Lord.
They need to be close to the church
and avoid any more, encounters as such.
So if you've been to the
if you've been to the wrong places
for the wrong reasons,
don't ever go there again.
But come and seek the church.
(01:37:22):
Ask a priest to pray over you
and to cast out whatever, spells
or a or, demonic powers that were
put on you.
And it will be done unto you
if you believe. And the Lord.
So the priesthood rank
has that authority.
We won't
dwell into this one too much,
because we don't want to become, like,
(01:37:44):
get too personal with it.
But I want to
I want to ask you this question
after the first episode,
we had so many comments
about wanting to try and ask
more practical questions. Sure.
With love and respect.
You've obviously spoken
to us about the forgiveness.
The forgiveness
you displayed after what had happened.
What does forgiveness
practically look like when justice
hasn't necessarily been served to you
(01:38:06):
see, forgiveness is one thing,
and justice is a totally different thing.
We can't mix the two together.
And in other words,
when when I forgive somebody,
that doesn't mean
justice should not take
its natural course.
But, forgiveness
is is foundational
in our Christian belief.
(01:38:27):
And what the Lord Jesus
has really taught us.
And forgiveness
is one of the areas
where the Lord will not negotiate on,
you know, so,
when,
when, when it comes to forgiveness,
the Lord will demanded of us,
I can't go to the Lord Jesus.
And not being able
to forgive somebody that has hurt me.
And reason being the Lord Jesus is fair,
(01:38:51):
is fair. So he will say,
when you're coming to me
and asking me, I, Jesus
Christ of Nazareth, to forgive you,
why do you ask me for that?
Because you came to this realization
and you believe that you have hurt me.
You've done things against me.
You've sinned against me.
So you're coming,
asking for my forgiveness,
and I forgave you.
(01:39:13):
Then I will expect you when you go out.
And somebody who has
gone, has gone against you
and come
and ask for forgiveness,
I expect you to do the same thing
that I've done unto you.
And you see,
this is where the Lord's Prayer,
the Our Father,
he the Lord,
taught this prayer in Aramaic, Syriac.
That's the original language.
The Lord taught this prayer
(01:39:34):
when you go to the original language,
original
that text where the Lord's
where the Lord's Prayer was taught in.
You will see that
it does not speak in the present tense,
but rather the past tense,
for example, in English.
And forgive us our.
Some people use our trespasses,
some people use our debts regardless,
but they will say,
(01:39:54):
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us.
Know the Aramaic text says literally,
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive,
not forgive.
Wow. Yes, that's Dave.
Yes, as we forgave
so why
it makes the whole difference now,
(01:40:16):
and I'm an Aramaic speaking person,
so I know the language
and I thank the Lord for that.
So it can be handy at times.
Yeah, definitely.
So when what the Lord is saying
before you come and say the
Our Father prayer,
if you haven't forgiven a person
that hurt you,
don't pray it
(01:40:37):
because I will not hear you. Well,
well very day.
So now how am I enabled
to forgive somebody
that has really hurt me
when I am close to the church
and the sacraments of the church,
and one of them is the body
(01:40:58):
and the blood of Christ.
And that's what it says.
Give us our daily
bread, like every single day.
Give us our bread, you know, day by day.
And that bread is Christ.
I am the living bread
that descended from heaven.
This bread is truly my body,
and this wine is truly my blood.
Eat and drink for the remission of sins.
(01:41:19):
When we take the body and the blood,
we are given the power to say to someone
who who's hurt me,
I forgive you with love and with ease,
because the blood
and the the body and the blood of Christ
that now is in me,
Christ is risen once again,
and Christ is reunited with me
once again, and I'm reunited with him.
(01:41:40):
And that's when Saint Paul,
I can say along with him,
with Christ I can do anything
and everything.
I can do all things in Christ
who strengthens me.
So when I'm embedded in the sacraments,
I'm close to the church,
to the word of the Lord.
Forgiveness so easy.
Why it is the Lord doing it through me,
(01:42:02):
not me?
Otherwise I am driven by the natural law.
And the natural law
is the Old Testament law.
An eye for an eye
and a tooth for a tooth.
Love the one who loves you
and hate the one who hates you.
This is the ultimate
and naturalistic human
being can ever achieve.
The ultimate is.
I can only love the one who loves me
(01:42:23):
and hate the one who hates me.
But when I'm able to love the one
who hate me,
rest assured this law came from heaven.
It is not yours.
And when people ask,
how do I know I'm
walking in the Lord's path?
One of the most foundational answer,
and so clear and precise
and concise to that.
Are you able to forgive
those who have hurt you?
(01:42:44):
If you say yes,
then you are definitely walking
in the Lord's path,
because the only time
you're able to forgive
your enemy is
when Christ is embedded in you
and he's doing it through you.
Because without Christ,
you can never forgive him.
Oh, I'm
so glad you brought up
the sacraments on that, because I think
there's a lot of churches
that don't have the sacraments,
(01:43:05):
and they're missing
such a valuable tool that we have,
as Orthodox or Catholic
or apostolic churches.
So on that note,
can you let me let us know what
what's your view on the sacraments?
And what about somebody
who is Christian and attending a church?
And maybe they listen to this podcast,
maybe they listen, to you
and they know of you,
(01:43:25):
but they're in a Protestant church
that doesn't have,
you know,
confession, repentance,
repentance, confession
or Holy Communion
or baptism
in, in the sense with our baptism.
What would you say?
I believe,
when we look at history, you know,
history tells, tells it
as it is and, it can't be, falsified.
(01:43:48):
It can't be changed.
It can't be,
you know,
history is stamped, sealed, finished.
Unfortunately, certain things,
took place in history
and that's where the division
happened in the church.
And it's a very deep and long topic.
But one thing I will say was love
and respect and humility
to my beloved Protestants
(01:44:09):
and my beloved, the
the Christian world, Christendom,
as a whole, we cannot simply
deny the Church Fathers
for one simple truth.
When the Lord Jesus spoke in the gospel
according to Saint John and said,
(01:44:30):
my father will send you
the help of the Holy Spirit in my name,
he will come and dwell in you.
He will teach you.
He will remind you
of everything I have said and done.
Now who spoke here?
The Lord Jesus,
who is the Lord Jesus,
God revealed in the flesh.
(01:44:51):
So we need to pay extremely
close attention when God speaks
because God can never lie,
can never falsify, can never change.
So the Lord Jesus was
God revealed in the flesh,
says that when the Holy Spirit
is sent
by my father in my name,
when he dwells in you, he will teach you.
He will remind you everything I've said
(01:45:12):
and everything I've done.
Meaning the Holy Spirit will reveal
to the 12 apostles,
to the 70 disciples
which the Lord chose after the 70th,
and the church fathers
of the first,
second, third, fourth, fifth,
and all these long centuries,
the Holy Spirit will reveal
to all the Church Fathers
equally what the Lord did say and did do.
(01:45:35):
If the Holy Spirit
did not
reveal it to the Church Fathers
and revealed it in recent times,
maybe the 16th century,
maybe the 21st century,
maybe the 18th century,
whichever century is
revealed it now
then, what am I saying to the Lord?
(01:45:58):
You broke your promise.
Are you lying, Lord?
I'm far from you.
Impossible.
So when I look at the church fathers
and all of them agree,
this is the true body
and the true blood of Christ,
then that tells me
(01:46:18):
the Lord's promise is being fulfilled.
Because when the all the Church fathers
speak the same language,
the source is one.
The Holy Spirit has revealed it
in accordance with the Lord's promise.
But when somebody comes later
on with love and respect
and claims
that the Holy Spirit is
revealing this to them,
(01:46:40):
sorry, you're
saying to Christ you broke your promise,
then?
How are these church
fathers going to be judged?
It's not their fault.
No,
no, the Holy Spirit didn't teach them.
So they were.
If they were misled, then
it's it's the Lord's fault. Now.
(01:47:03):
It's impossible.
Please, I beg every Christian
just think for a moment
of what the Lord says here.
And then look at the read.
The church fathers read their teachings
for the Lord's sake, no one else's.
(01:47:23):
You will see.
All spoke the same.
That's it.
The foundation is laid.
It cannot touch it.
Tamper with it anymore. You cannot.
So do you think that they're missing out?
If they don't
seek an apostolic church
and get these gifts that God gave?
(01:47:44):
My theory is when the
Lord speaks in John chapter six.
And I know some people
because I see
I don't have the time to go into depth.
I would have loved to, but,
I hope they don't
don't jump into conclusions.
Oh, look what the bishop saying.
The Lord spoke in a figurative,
I know what some people will think
I know,
but when the Lord spoke in chapter
six of, the Gospel of John,
(01:48:07):
he says, he who does not eat my body
and drink my blood has no life in him.
That's a very scary statement.
You know,
I don't want to be seen as no life in me,
so I.
The body and the blood is foundational,
so we need to adhere to that.
(01:48:27):
And God
willing, I mean,
we've done we've done lectures on that.
And we're going to revisit that,
very, very soon,
in our talks,
God willing, and the Bible preach, we do.
And we're going to bring
a lot of biblical references,
where everybody can go
back to the Holy Bible,
not look at me,
not listen to me,
and go back to the Holy Bible
(01:48:48):
and see the same verses you read.
I read,
and you're going
to see the interpretations
of the church fathers and see,
now, this is it's
not as you see it, my dear friend.
It's much deeper than that.
Looking forward to that. To be honest.
I'll definitely be tuning in and I,
I told George
we need to go and attend
to, definitely
a Bible study of yours and
(01:49:09):
and listen to the Word of God.
On that note,
the tradition of the church is beautiful.
No one's going to say
anything about that.
However, nowadays, Bishop,
many young people feel quite disconnected
from the rituals and
and they don't feel as though
it's not keeping up with the times.
So how do we help
ourselves and everyone else rediscover
(01:49:29):
the beauty in the tradition?
We we need to
go with, with, with the time we live in.
Within reason.
And what I mean by that, look, our
our church tradition, it's
whether we like it or not, it's eastern.
(01:49:51):
You know, it's
to some Middle Eastern
and to some eastern.
But it's beautiful.
It's very rich.
The culture is different.
Everything is different about it.
See, let me speak on, on a sort of a,
more of a human level
than rather a church ritual level.
So.
(01:50:11):
So we can sort of,
clarify a little bit more.
For example,
somebody comes from the Middle East,
migrates to Australia,
to Europe,
to America, to Canada,
to the Western world,
from the east to the west.
Two things.
We make, very wrong mistakes here.
Either one of the two,
somebody will come from the East
and says, I'm
(01:50:32):
going to come and live in the West,
but I will live my eastern way of life.
I will never, ever allow anything
to infiltrate
and try to change
what I've got used to
since I was born there and raised there.
So they will be enclosed
on their own culture.
(01:50:52):
They'll be enclosed on their own culture.
Some people will come from
and that is wrong.
Some people will come from the East
and they'll say,
since I live in the West,
forget about the East.
I'm going to be just a Westerner.
God, I might be going
and let's put the prawns on the back
and forget
absolutely about the West,
(01:51:14):
about the eastern culture
and the richness of that culture.
But that is also very wrong.
Instead of being enclosed
or totally open,
have be bring come into this
where you integrate
the two cultures together.
Integration.
(01:51:35):
I'm no longer in the East.
I'm now in the West.
I can't deny the fact
that I'm in the West, but I can't deny
my roots.
And I should never denied.
And I should be proud.
Proud of my heritage.
So if you come from the,
Orthodox, Oriental,
you know, whether it's
Coptic Orthodox Church and, and,
(01:51:55):
and the other branches of the Oriental.
Be proud of that.
And if you come from
the Eastern Churches, be proud of that.
If you're Catholic, be proud of that.
And if you come from Egypt
and from the Middle East,
Africa, Asia,
wherever you come from, be proud of that.
But when you migrate,
you can't deny the fact that
now I live in Australia,
I'm no longer in Egypt,
(01:52:16):
I'm no longer in Iraq,
I'm no longer in Lebanon.
I'm no longer
no longer, no longer I'm in Australia.
So I, I have to confess it, admit it.
Now it's
Aussie
and in Australia
there is English language.
It's no longer Coptic,
it's no longer Assyrian.
Strong Arabic
(01:52:37):
or Chinese, whatever language it is.
So I take what is valuable
from my heritage,
and I take what is valuable
from the country
that open its arms and embrace me
and bring the two together.
Sometimes we are too strict
when it comes to our church,
(01:52:59):
you know, rituals and rights
and we say, no, no, no,
this is the way we have it.
This is the language. We are used to it.
We're not going to change this language
into another language.
We're not going to change.
Maybe a small touch here
or small touch
that we have to protect
and preserve the church rites
and rituals.
And it's, a non a no zone area here.
(01:53:21):
What we've done,
we spoken a language.
Our children that are born
in this country
and in this society, in this culture,
we've we've lost them now
we are totally disconnected from them.
That's from a language barrier.
(01:53:42):
Look.
I come from the Middle East.
I come from Africa.
I come from a river.
I come and I come into the Western world.
If I am too strict
and too fanatic, I'll lose my child.
My son and my daughter are, born here.
(01:54:05):
They they go to school,
they spend most of their time at school,
not at home.
And then after graduation,
they start working
and they spend most of their time
at work, not at home.
They they go out
and they mix with friends,
and they spend a lot of time
with their friends
more than they spend time
with mum and dad and other siblings.
So we need to acknowledge this fact.
And it's, it's a, it's a way of life.
Now.
(01:54:25):
So I can't just be stubborn about it.
No, I need to deal with it wisely.
So instead of
saying no no no
no no no I need to integrate,
I need to be a little bit more flexible
now not only from a language barrier
but from the approach barrier.
So now I need the best solution
(01:54:48):
that I provide for my son and daughter.
I need to befriend them,
not to treat them as an authoritative
from an authoritative point of view.
No, I am your friend now.
So when when they come to church
as a bishop, I'm talking about myself.
Now, so I don't sound judgmental
when I when when it comes to me.
(01:55:09):
You know,
when the younger generation come, I say,
can I marry you? Going high five.
Leave me some skin, bro.
A some
get down brother,
let's put the subwoofer in the backseat
and go. What? What?
I have to to somewhat degree, I haven't.
I haven't denied my heritage.
I haven't disrespected my church rights
(01:55:30):
and my church heritage.
No,
but I need to speak
the language of my sons and daughters.
Why? Because I love them.
They're my my children.
I love them,
so I want them to feel at home.
I want them to see me as their friend,
not as a bishop.
I want them to see me as their friend.
(01:55:51):
Why?
Because they've got used to their friend,
not to the bishop.
They got used to being free.
And the way they express their feelings,
their emotions
and whatever it is,
not come and sit like, in a formal way.
Don't talk.
The father is preaching, don't talk.
The father is praying.
(01:56:11):
I'm going to go down.
Tom.
Bro, I'm not sitting in the church
for three hours
and understand absolutely nothing.
I'm going to go and have fun.
It's a beautiful sunny day
and it's a Sunday.
I'm going to go to Bondi Beach,
might and get some vitamin day
in my body.
That's it.
You're going to lose them.
(01:56:32):
So befriend them.
You see a young person
some moment, you speak their language,
you've gain their trust.
The next time you start teaching them
what this means.
And that means
since you've gained their trust,
(01:56:52):
they will respect anything
and everything you say afterwards.
And that's why
we need to take it easy.
And the other thing,
and the most beautiful thing
the Lord Jesus ever embedded
and established in the church
is the relationship
between a father and the son,
(01:57:13):
father and daughter.
That's why the word
in Arabic say
Edna, is not appropriate
to be used in the church.
Say it.
In Arabic, the word say in an Arabic
it's like, master or lord,
you know, lordship or mastery,
(01:57:35):
you know, is a masters.
But no, the Lord put
a relationship
between a father and a son,
a father and a daughter.
And in any relationship,
to be successful,
friendship must be the foundation
to that relationship.
If the father speaks to the son
as a father to the son,
he will lose his son
because there are two different levels.
(01:57:56):
If the mother speaks to the daughter
as mother to daughter,
she will lose the daughter.
If the husband speaks to his wife
as a husband to his wife,
he will lose his wife.
If the brother speaks to his sister
as brother to sister,
they will lose each other
the only time
they will relate
to one another and save each other.
(01:58:17):
When they talk to one another as friends.
And if the bishop or a priest
speaks to his
the flock of Christ as a bishop
and as a priest,
as someone of authority,
they they will lose their flock.
No, I need to come down to the level.
I'm a father. I'm not a master.
(01:58:38):
I'm not say enough.
I'm a father speaking to my son.
Speaking to my daughter.
But before I am a father, I'm a friend.
I'm so. As friends.
How do they talk out there in the street?
I'll talk to them in the church.
They're going to say,
yo, bro, what's up?
(01:58:59):
This is cool, man.
The bishop is good looking. I say.
You've you've, You came to know this?
Too late.
I knew this from the beginning.
So we need
we need to make them feel at home.
Then talk to them about heavy
duty things.
(01:59:20):
Be their friend. First name?
Well, Pope Shenouda
famously said that a church
without youth is a church without future.
Future?
Of course
it's a tree with that fruit,
and it's dead.
So now I should never let anything
to be a stumbling stone
from allowing my children
(01:59:40):
to come into the church,
even if those rituals
as they're beginning at least.
So I need to tailor it in a way where it
I make it attractive.
But as I said,
the approach is very vital.
Let them feel comfortable.
You know, I had people coming
to the church in shorts
(02:00:02):
and t shirts.
Committees came and said, Bishop, look,
we need to stop them from entering.
I said, don't you ever did.
Don't you ever do it.
That's all they know.
That's how they comfortable.
One week, two weeks, one month,
two months.
They came in a suit.
(02:00:23):
Easy.
Let them be happy.
And secondly
they are in their father's house.
And when are you going to be free.
If you're not free at home.
Guess what.
You're going to seek
your freedom elsewhere.
That's what the prodigal son did.
Where did he end up.
In the bosom of Satan.
Very dangerous.
(02:00:44):
Don't push him away.
Don't.
We mentioned the this new generation,
which they're very comfortable.
And that's what I find.
I mean, Simon often joke about it
that this next generation is
very weak and just very,
I don't know how to explain it,
but they're just very they're very soft.
Right.
So I guess what I want to ask you is,
(02:01:09):
can someone truly live a Christian life
without the concept of suffering?
Because I feel like this new generation
doesn't understand suffering.
And if something is uncomfortable
or their suffering involved,
they escape it.
They don't know how to go through it
or endure it.
I don't even want to go through it.
Yeah,
anything to be comfortable,
to be happy, to be.
Yes. Sorry.
(02:01:29):
Just,
I, I gives me a hard time sometimes.
Look, you know, this is a topic on.
It's on suffering.
See, the problem is the reason why,
you know,
sometimes we want to run away from it
because we define suffering our way.
That's the whole problem.
There is nothing wrong with suffering
when it is defined by God.
And when we accept
(02:01:49):
what God gives us as suffering,
because that's a different
now level altogether.
And then when it's
when we see it through the
the eye of God,
we will see
suffering is the way to salvation
and redemption.
So but when we define it our way,
then we have missed the mark
and we have mis defined it totally.
(02:02:11):
And therefore,
we've taken suffering in the wrong way.
But to come back to that question,
Christianity without suffering
is just non-existent.
The heart of
Christianity is Jesus Christ
being crucified.
Two third of the four gospels
put together.
(02:02:31):
It talks about the crucifixion.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John
put them all together.
Two third of that
that that narratives
is about the crucifixion,
so that the center of Christianity
is the cross, the Holy Cross.
So you take the cross out,
forget about Christianity,
forget about it altogether.
And what is the cross? Suffering.
But this suffering was defined by God,
(02:02:55):
not by humanity.
And that's where Adam, our father,
our former
father, our father, Adam,
went wrong in the Garden of Eden
when he ate
from the tree of the knowledge
of Good and evil.
When he ate from it,
he literally said to God,
from this moment onward,
I'll be the definer of what is good
and what is evil, not you God.
So what happened now?
(02:03:16):
Since Adam
has no complete and full
knowledge of things,
he defined
good as evil and defined evil as good.
And that's why the God said, you will die
if you eat from it.
Meaning the day
you come and define things,
you get to define them,
(02:03:37):
and in your definition to them
you will kill yourself by yourself.
My pre warning was based on love,
not out of being a dictator.
No, quite the contrary.
I did it out of love.
I told you don't define things your way.
Let God define it for you
to be always safe and sound.
And that's why
we need to leave that definition to God.
(02:03:59):
So when Jesus Christ came,
the perfect man I'm talking about here,
the perfect man is the standard
which God had in mind
before creating Adam.
He wanted everyone to be
in the standard of Jesus.
God says, this is the man I'm after.
I'm seeking.
(02:04:19):
This is the man that I want.
I want every human being
to be like Jesus.
What was the secret of Jesus?
The power,
you know,
the miraculous power
behind this perfect man,
obedient to God.
If you and I and all of us
are as obedient as Jesus to His father,
(02:04:41):
we will do exactly as Jesus did.
There is no secret to it.
The secret is
he was fully obedient
where we are, not fully.
And that's why when we pray,
the dead are not raised.
But when Jesus prayed, the dead rose.
Why?
Since he was fully submissive to God,
when he spoke, God spoke.
And when God speaks, the dead rise.
Yeah.
But sometimes
(02:05:02):
because of our disobedience,
we speak not God.
That's why
from now till kingdom comes,
the dead will never rise.
When we speak. So.
So we Christianity without suffering.
It's just impossible.
But again,
suffering is a very tough topic,
you know, very deep and very big topic.
(02:05:23):
I don't want to sort of
go into it too much.
But in in a nutshell,
the Lord Jesus says,
and the Gospel of Saint Luke, it says,
if you
if you want to be my disciple,
carry your cross and follow me every day.
Not sometimes,
not when you choose to,
but it is every day.
And the Lord here
is commanding that of us.
(02:05:45):
It's a commandment.
It's not a request.
It's an order if you want.
Now that's here.
He's given you your freedom.
If you want to be my disciple,
if you say, yes, Lord,
I want to be your disciple.
You are no longer free.
You must carry the cross.
But he's now,
you see,
is respecting your freedom of choice.
That's why he did not impose it on
(02:06:06):
you initially. He gave you that.
You know that
that choice,
that, opportunity
to choose for yourself.
If you want to be my disciple.
And if you say, yes, Lord, I want to be,
then you must carry my cross.
And the cross is suffering.
But in this suffering there's glory.
And salvation.
(02:06:29):
Look,
there are absolutes in life,
but I, I want to share with all of us
four foundational absolutes
that no one was ever able
to fully illustrate nor fully define.
And all humanity failed
in these four absolutes.
(02:06:50):
Love,
justice, evil, forgiveness,
love, justice, evil, forgiveness.
No human being was able to fully
illustrate them, to fully define them.
But these four love, justice, evil,
and forgiveness.
(02:07:11):
They were.
They all were converged in one place
where they were fully defined
and fully illustrated.
And that was on the cross, on Calvary,
on the cross,
the Lord
Jesus fully defined and illustrated love,
justice, evil, and forgiveness.
Love.
God the father says
(02:07:32):
it was on the basis of love.
I created you all and everything else.
And you, my beloved child,
that day you broke my word.
You broke my love.
Just describe my justice.
Cried out the wages of sin is death.
The wages of sin is death.
Justice must be fulfilled.
(02:07:52):
My son came and took your place to
fulfill that justice
and pay the price on your behalf.
He shed his blood on Calvary to wash away
that evilness that entered you.
By breaking my word
and transgressing against me.
I, God the creator.
And when he washed away that evilness,
(02:08:13):
he cried out from the cross
and said,
father, forgive them,
for they do not know what they're doing
these for. Absolute.
Those foundational absolutes
were defined
fully and illustrated fully
on the cross, on Calvary.
The cross is the suffering that gives
you meaning to all these absolutes,
(02:08:35):
where you can come
and find your true identity as a human
being which God created you to be.
Once upon a time.
Well, it's all about frame of reference.
I mean,
if you put suffering in that frame,
then it sounds almost
like enjoyable to suffer
because you're partaking with Christ,
(02:08:58):
you know, in a in a simple way,
I get taken to up
to the operating theater,
and then before they put me under
the general anesthetic,
the surgeon comes and,
he holds the knife in his hand.
That's a very scary sight,
you know, to be exposed to.
But that knife that cuts
where it gives me pain and suffering.
(02:09:21):
The very knife that gave me
that suffering
was the very knife
that gave me that healing.
Well,
Steve, there's two sides to every night.
Not all right.
Unfortunately for us, we're entering
the final chapter
of this amazing interview.
I would
I'd love to see here all night with you.
(02:09:41):
So we're going to ask you
some very candid questions.
First on being is what do you think
breaks God's heart the
most in the world right now?
When his own
children, whom he loves
more than himself, walk away from him.
(02:10:02):
What made Christ suffer?
What made Christ enter that agony?
You know, when he wasn't that the God of,
you know,
and that garden where he was an absolute
and utter agony was not the
the nails that were about to enter
his, his hand and his feet.
(02:10:22):
It was not that crown of thorns
that was going to be placed on his head.
It was not the scourging
that shredded his body, but more so
his beloved,
denying him and walking away from him.
You see the nail,
the wound of the nail and the scourging
and the thorn will be healed
(02:10:43):
after a week,
after a month, after a year.
But the one that you loved the most
and and they deny you
and they say,
I swear I don't know who you are.
And all run away and hide
where you needed them the most.
This is the pain that never ceases.
(02:11:04):
The one that you love the most becomes
the one who sells you
with 30 pieces of silver and swears.
I never knew this man.
These are the wounds
that Christ suffered from,
that denials of the loved ones.
That's what pains God.
(02:11:26):
Well,
I'm going to ask you something
personal now.
Oh, that was visceral.
So when you pray to God,
what is what you're finding yourself
asking him for the most these days,
when you pray privately.
(02:11:49):
I don't want nothing.
And I want everything.
I don't want nothing because I have you.
And since I have
you, I have everything.
Well, just by allowing me
to be in your holy presence,
(02:12:10):
what can I ask more than this?
And not only
even much greater
than being in his holy presence.
You became me to make me.
You.
Every request seizes
every thought, seizes
every intellect, seizes.
(02:12:31):
I just stand in all
and be overwhelmed
by your beauty.
So.
Lord.
(02:13:23):
Now it's both eyes.
Giving me a heart. Not.
Not just wanting to give you a tissue.
All good.
I came prepared.
Lord.
Please allow me to say these words
to you.
I believe you gave me that permission.
(02:13:45):
And
on your word and on your love,
and on your grace, and on your mercy
and on your compassion.
I dare to say these words,
but with love and humility,
and I bow and worship
before your holy feet, my Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ,
please allow me to say, Lord,
I do not care about heaven,
(02:14:07):
nor about hell.
I do not care about any place
because for me,
what matters.
Is that you?
I just want to be with you.
Lord,
I don't care that I'm in heaven.
I don't care that I'm in hell.
(02:14:29):
I don't care wherever I may be on earth
or anywhere else.
But what I really care about.
I want to be with you, Lord.
So if I'm with you in heaven, so be it.
Because you're my heaven.
And if I'm with you in hell, so be it.
Because you are my heaven.
And even if I am in hell yet
(02:14:51):
you're with me, then I am in heaven.
Because even though I walk
through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil for you are with me.
Lord, I want you.
I don't want nothing else.
All I care about is you.
And since I have you,
what else could I ask for?
(02:15:11):
More than you?
Nothing.
In fact, every valuable thing
outside of you. It's nothing.
Even if it's heaven.
Because what makes heaven?
Heaven is you, Lord.
And what makes life?
Life is your Lord.
And what makes beauty.
(02:15:32):
Beauty is your Lord.
What makes home? Home is your Lord.
And what makes glory?
Glory is your Lord.
And what makes kingdom.
Kingdom is you.
You are my father, my mother, my brother,
my sister, my friend, my citadel,
my mansion, my kingdom, my life,
my glory, my honor,
(02:15:53):
my pride, my strength, my power,
your your, your just.
It.
I just want you.
I want nothing,
I don't want nothing.
Just you. Lord,
only you,
nothing else.
(02:16:14):
Only you.
May God give us a fraction of the love
that you have,
and the wisdom
that you have to put
it so perfectly like that.
(02:16:37):
Oh, I
pray from
the bottom of my heart right now
for the Lord to touch every single
heart of every single human being
on the face of this planet,
this earth, as we speak now.
Amen.
There is no one like Jesus
Christ of Nazareth. It's impossible.
(02:17:00):
Like when we spoke before.
And no, all we meant was love.
And all we meant was respect.
I never intended to hurt no one's feeling
or attack anyone.
God forbid.
Maybe I was,
you know, just overwhelmed with that.
(02:17:20):
That glimpse or a or a drop of love
which Christ put
in this useless
servant of is out of his grace and mercy.
It just made me go crazy for him.
And I just
went like crazy, spoke like crazy.
But it was all out of love.
All out of love.
(02:17:41):
I just want to say I pray that you
be touched by the Lord.
I pray that
that drop of love
be restored in your heart.
My beloved son, my beloved brother,
my beloved
neighbor, my beloved friend,
my beloved human being.
No matter who you are and what you are
(02:18:02):
and where you come from, we love.
We need to love and respect
every single one of us.
We are all one in humanity.
There is no difference
as far as humanity is concerned. We are.
We are all one.
We should love and respect
everyone
as we are different
in our beliefs and our faiths.
But that should not stop us from honoring
and respecting one another.
(02:18:22):
As far as our humanity is concerned,
because at the end we are human beings.
We should never lose track of that.
But I was talking like crazy
because I can assure you,
when the Lord touches your heart,
yet you,
it becomes naturally
(02:18:43):
to walk, talk and behave like crazy.
That's how the Lord is.
But it's all out of love.
I pray that everybody
comes to this encounter
and to this realization,
because at the end,
we're going to go and face our creator.
I can assure you, I'm nothing.
And I'm saying it out of honest truth,
(02:19:04):
not out of anything else,
because I am honestly nothing.
So I'm not saying it out of,
you know, it's trying to state what?
It's the truth.
I am nothing. Yes.
When you go to heaven,
you're not going to find nobody
but Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
whom no one.
He is the only way to heaven
(02:19:27):
and is the gateway to heaven.
And it is heaven that made heaven heaven.
He is the only one.
Seek him.
Reach out to him.
Call him.
Kneel before him and say.
Look. I don't believe in God.
Are you out there?
(02:19:48):
Show me who you are.
Tell me, who are you?
Which God are you?
Which is the true God?
If there is one out there.
And which way do I follow?
Which book do I follow?
You took me to heaven and hell.
(02:20:08):
I saw both
heaven.
The beauty surpasses
every intellect like Saint Paul says.
And hell,
the ugliness of hell
beyond any imagination.
You can't last a split second.
(02:20:31):
Let alone to spend
eternity.
Dangerous.
But heaven, once you're there,
you will never, ever, ever ask
to come back. Never.
Because it's Christ.
(02:20:56):
May the Lord have mercy on all of us.
May the Lord
shine upon all of us
with his divine light.
Encircle us inwardly and outwardly
engulf us with his divine love.
Reveal his true person
to every single human being
whom he has created
(02:21:18):
with his own hands.
May the Lord Jesus show everyone the way.
For he is the way,
the truth, and the life.
May the Lord shepherd us all.
For he is the only true shepherd
that leads us to green pastures
and still waters.
May the Lord
Jesus have mercy on this turmoil world.
(02:21:39):
May the Lord Jesus heal every wound.
May the Lord Jesus reach out
to every afflicted soul.
May the Lord Jesus protect every family.

You've given us a sermon on on
how to talk to God
and how to pray
that I think, we're very blessed
and very lucky to have experience.
We thank the Lord.
All glory to his holy name.
(02:23:01):
You're right.
It's Simon's to move.
I
well, to be honest,
we were going to ask you, a question.
Which was if
this was your final message to the world,
what would you say?
But I guess you've just answered
that perfectly.
So, with that, I think we just.
Yeah.
With that said,
I think we've
we've covered everything so perfectly,
and we really love to thank you
(02:23:22):
for your time and your love.
And I'm sorry I've been pestering you
for this
second episode,
and I'm going to pitch to you
for a third eventually,
but I'll give you a bit of a break.
Let's give a good
time.
But we love the Lord.
We love you, father.
Thank you so much for blessing us
and for teaching us.
And you know,
we pray that this goes out and touches
a lot of people's hearts.
May or may the Lord Jesus
(02:23:44):
use you,
my beloved son George
and my beloved son Simon.
And this beautiful podcast, the,
The Salt Podcast.
May you bring flavor to people's life,
the flavor of Christ,
where they come
to taste Christ through this platform
and come closer to the Lord Jesus.
(02:24:05):
May the Lord Jesus use you in power
that was never seen or experienced
by you, at least,
and bring it to the whole world.
I pray the Lord uses
you both for his glory, and may the Lord
not only make you the salt of the earth,
but also make you the light of the world.
Amen.
(02:24:26):
Amen. God bless you, Bishop.
God bless your service.
And to those who watched and listened.
I love you, I love you, I love you.
But remember,
as I always say,
Jesus loves you the most. God bless.
