In the late 1980’s, Thomas Radzienda awakened to the truth that no matter who our political leaders were, we still bombed people. He consequently left his corporate job and traveled the world seeking understanding, universal compassion, non-violent living, and simplicity before eventually settling in Thailand as a teacher and healer. In this conversation, Thomas shares how veganism and spirituality connect and how our culturally accepted masking of animal suffering damages our spirits. We also discuss the effect of media on our minds and how meditation restores clarity. Thomas seeks to inspire spiritual non-vegans to try plant-based living and non-spiritual vegans to pursue the spiritual path. Offering practical steps to transform mind, body and spirit, his approach is gentle, incremental, and encouraging for everyone.

Thomas Radzienda has dedicated nearly 30 years to spiritual transformation since moving to Thailand in the early 1990s. A former professor at Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, he also wrote two poetry columns for the Bangkok Post. In the 2000s, he deepened his practice through meditation, Reiki, and plant-based living, eventually founding Reiki Chiang Mai in 2008. Author of Personal Transformation through Reiki (English and Thai), and Vegan Health and Spirituality, Thomas continues to explore the unity of health, spirit, and consciousness. Living on an organic orchard in northern Thailand with his wife and dog, he integrates meditation, energy healing, veganism, and nature into daily life.
