Florida Crowned as Champs !! Weekend Recap - April 8th 2025
The Sports Guyz take a look at the weekend of great basketball games, as the Final 4 teams battled for a title in San Antonio ! In the end all the #1 seeds advanced to the weekend's games, a situation that has not happened since 2008, and the games between the best 4 teams in college basketball did not disappoint. We discuss all aspects of the two semi-final games and the epic final won by Florida for their 3rd national title. Florida felt like a team of destiny similar to the Virginia Cavaliers in 2019, as they had to come back in 4 out of the 6 games in their title run, including the last 3 games they played in the tournament.
We also look at the women's final 4 games in Tampa, Florida and the great win by UConn as they completed their 12th women's championship run by holding up the trophy! We review some March Madness memes and talk some about heading into next year which teams on the men's and women's sides have a leg up.
The Sports Guyz look at Football memes, and then look at the incredible history-making milestone hit by Alex Ovechkin as he now has surpassed Wayne Gretzky as the great goal scorer in NHL history with 895. We also do a preview of this weekend's coming Master's golf tournament and we predict who we think will win the Master's title.
