In addition to his role as Interim Fire Chief, Chris is also a seasoned wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service, bringing over 26 years of experience to the table, as well as being a dedicated researcher. In this conversation, we explore the issue of complacency within the fire service, focusing on low-frequency, high-risk events. Chris and I dive into the recent wildfires that impacted Connecticut, and the research he’s conducted on wildfire risk.
