Bonus Episode - Meeting More of the Buffy Cast at Fanboy Expo Knoxville

On Saturday, 7/12, we had an epic day at Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, TN with 19,000 steps and tons of fun! We met some legendary Buffy stars like Clare Kramer, James Marsters, and Juliet Landau (who remembered us!). Plus, we got to connect with awesome fans like Micha the Slayer and author Celia Cleaveland. Hey guys, we just finished up a very long day at Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee.
How many steps did we get today? We are just over 18,000, I believe.
Oh, almost at 19,000.
Ooh.
That was, that's a lot of steps.
Yeah.
A lot of walking.
Uh, but we had a great time.
Well worth it.

Yep.
We, met Claire Kramer.
Yeah, we did, I got selfies with her.
Yes, she was very nice.
Very nice.
Um, we also met James Masters, so Nice.
Very, very nice.
So nice, very down to earth.
Um, yes, it was engaged.
Engaged.
He, it was amazing watching him interact with the fans because.

Every person that came up, even when we went and got our picture taken with him and Juliette first.
Yeah.
The professional photo.
Yeah.
And when we walked in, he like put his hand out, shook hands with everybody was so nice.
And then when we went up to talk to him, he again shakes our hands, like, looks everybody in the eye.
Selfies.
He took the selfies like from multiple angles.

Yeah.
Very engaging.
Very nice.
Mm-hmm.
And,, Juliet Landau remembered us, which was cool.
Because we met her last year.
Yes.
From, other Buffy actors.
Uh, Julie.
Ben was there.
A lot of people with Buffy Church.
Buffy memorabilia.
Yes.
We had someone come up to us, uh, she goes by Micah, the Slayer on TikTok.

And I believe Instagram too.
Yes.
Uh, she listens to us and, saw us and came, recognized us and said Hi.
Yeah.
Got a prize.
Yeah.
Gave her a, a little something.
Yep.
Uh, and then we also met, Celia Cleveland, who's an author.
Mm-hmm.
on TikTok? Yeah.
It is C Kat, KATM.

YLA.
Yes.
And we talked to her, and, what one of her books.
Yes.
And she said she's gonna start listening to the podcast and, you know, watch Buffy again, to just remind her of everything that happened.
Yes.
And gave out a lot of stickers.
Yeah.
Gave out some of Melanie's glass art.
Yep.

And overall it was, it was a great day long.
It was it a long, great day.
Oh, we went to the q and a.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
We went to the, the panel of the four Buffy actors I mentioned.
Yeah.
Again, the, the answers were very genuine.
Yeah.
And we were upfront.
So you'll see us if you go to, uh, James Masters will post, I guess he video takes video of everybody that cosplays that comes to his table.

And then he posts that on his page.
And he also, recorded all of us applauding.
He, I guess that's gonna be at the end, so you'll see us in that too.
Yeah, it was a good day.
It was tiring.
It's also Sean's birthday, July 8th.
So we had an early celebration, uh, July 18th.

July 18th is what I meant.
We went to dinner.
Yep.
And ahead of time, uh, that Melanie let the restaurant know that I like Buffy.
And so when we sat down, there is a little, uh, happy birthday, Sean sign with a picture of Buffy and it was signed by all the staff and then our server, Matthew.
Hi Matthew.

He who, also is a Buffy fan.
Got everybody else to at the restaurant sign a a card for me.
And you wrote Happy Birthday and like the Buffy font.
So that was.
That was very special.
Buffy Delicious baby.
Yeah, really good day.
Yeah.
So yeah, next year if you guys have a chance to go to Fanboy Expo in Knoxville.
