Good Friday | Breaking Chains

Today is Good Friday, the day when we pause in the shadow of the cross. Most of us would rather be anywhere but here, staring death in the face. We would rather ignore our feelings of fear and sadness, of shame and guilt. Yet on this day, we are called to name the ways that we ourselves have betrayed and crucified Jesus. We are called to bear witness to his suffering and death. For we know that in and through Jesus Christ, we find forgiveness and healing.
