Hey listeners! What songs facilitate a calm reflective mood for you? What helps with de-stressing? Do you need music to bring up up energetically to prepare you for a stressful situation? What artists do you resonate with? This week we tackle mediation and music!

This week CT and Dale cover songs often cited in media and in conflict resolution. CT cites the mediation role of "setting the scene" and the emotional side of conflict resolution through song. Dale and CT look at music as "setting the table" and various popular songs that can be discovered in the world of Mediators as options for play or preparation for a private mediation. Dale brings up how music can prepare for negotiation. CT also shares her past in clinical massage therapy, mediation and yoga teaching, and offers her publication on meditation for self-help (Email CT Ehler for a free copy of her Meditation publication: toughcallmediation@gmail.com).

Dale confesses his lack of experience in popular music, yet brings up some important conversations in pop culture that has been influenced through music artists (example: RuPaul's comment: “If you don't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?”). CT helps Dale navigate some popular music where artists offer up social commentary on conflict, areas of where people come together, and the nature of the human spirit through song.
