(Transcribed by TurboScribe.ai. Go Unlimited to remove this message.) Saturday, June 14th will be a historic day.
Are you going to be at the parade
or at a protest?
How is the FAFO season for you?
If you spent the last few months nauseous
and screaming what the fuck at the TV
20 times a day, I feel you.
Listen for tips and perspective.
I'm a day early, but my message couldn't
wait.

(00:21):
With the military parade tomorrow and the No
Kings protests being planned across the country, I
felt it was essential to speak my mind
and offer tips to help people stay safe
out there.
Hi, it's the Urban Lady Prepper.
I help single moms and solo women with
practical emergency preparedness.
But of course, all are welcome to be
better prepared for whatever happens next.

(00:45):
So America, are we tired of all this
winning?
I generally don't get what's so political on
here.
However, my country is in its death throes,
and I'm not going to pretend it isn't
happening, especially since I'm part of the population
that's being targeted on two fronts, my race
and my gender.
I wonder if the way things are going,
what will separate us from those shithole countries,

(01:07):
he who shall not be named, once called
places, where citizens have been denied rights and
had their freedoms limited, when putting food on
the table becomes nearly impossible, when you're sick
and unable to afford any kind of care
if you can find it, when you're hustling
for whatever scraps you can, and you live
in squalor because you can't afford to maintain
your home if you're lucky enough to have

(01:28):
one.
That sounds like a shithole country to me.
And America, that's exactly where we're heading.
Our country would rather spend hundreds of millions
on a North Korea-style military parade.
We would rather spend billions on deporting people
who provide us with a hundred billion in
tax revenue a year, funding programs they can't
qualify for, and are the backbone of many

(01:50):
of our industries.
But we have no money for education, our
veterans, and the elderly.
Yeah, right.
Did I mention that we're witnessing an ethnic
cleansing?
Yes, that's exactly what it is.
Let's not pretend it's anything else.
The people who said they were only going
after the criminals and the bad people have

(02:11):
yet to step foot in the neighborhoods where
those bad people actually are.
While I agree that certain steps need to
be taken for citizenship, why would they wait
outside of buildings where people are going through
things quote-unquote the right way to arrest
them?
Why aren't they in the hood or in
the burials arresting the criminals like they said
they were going to do, instead of handcuffing

(02:31):
children and pregnant women?
Oh, that's right, because they've lied to you,
and you believe them.
As I said in an earlier episode, this
is not about legality, it's about color.
While the administration is importing white South Africans
unvetted, they're doing what they can to get
brown and black people out of the U
.S. So if there's any doubt in your

(02:52):
mind that these deportations weren't about color, then
that action alone should make it clear.
Those farmers crying about losing their undocumented workers
when they overwhelmingly voted for it, I mean
the audacity.
Is it the idea of exceptionalism, or did
they really believe those were black jobs and
we would rush in and pick up where
the migrants left off?

(03:13):
I don't know what they smoke out there,
but no, we have no desire to do
that work, and trust me when I say
we will fight if that's the end game
y'all were expecting.
Those Latinos saying that black people should be
standing with them and marching in the street
with them?
We did march.
We marched for you.
We marched right into the voting booth and

(03:34):
voted against what's happening now with you in
mind, as well as ourselves and the future
of our democracy.
But you decided that your proximity to whiteness
and believing that you were somehow different and
exempt from suffering was more important.
And much like some in the group that
you want proximity to, you're happy to see
others suffer, not remembering that your look at

(03:55):
only is slightly better.
Much like black MAGA, your token has been
spent.
So as your relatives, friends, and neighbors are
being hauled away like criminals, even if they
aren't, and like illegals, even if they aren't.
Yes, it's disgusting and horrifying, but there isn't
anything anyone could do.
You're getting what you voted for.

(04:16):
Yes, we told you so.
So no, we will not be bullet bumpers
for your failure to read the room.
And don't be mad at us.
Check your demographic.
Over 40% of whom voted for this.
We black people know that once we are
in the street protesting, there will be blood.
That's what they want.
They want to attack us and blame us.
That is why they're doing everything they can

(04:37):
to antagonize us and get us in the
street and we're not going to give it
to them.
Generations of us fighting so everyone can have
rights.
Now we're going to save our fight for
ourselves.
Not for those who ignored us, gaslit us,
or deliberately voted against us because they thought
they were going to get brownie points from
the red hat demographic.

(04:58):
Pun intended.
Once again, our country is held back and
will soon be destroyed by racism and sexism.
We will never see the potential of this
country because of it.
And the backsliding continues.
The constitution is being torn to shreds.
Our military is being used against its citizens.
And there's no regard for the rule of
law by those in charge.

(05:19):
Roving gangs of untrained thugs cosplaying as agents
no longer have to show their faces or
identify themselves.
And now citizens have to decide whether or
not they want to comply with someone with
no credentials or a warrant or treat them
as kidnappers and fight for their lives rather
than disappear or be killed.
This is where we're at.

(05:39):
And if you don't think that those who
are taking advantage of the anonymity and power
is a you problem, perhaps your wives and
daughters aren't safe from them wanting to take
advantage of the opportunity.
Did you think about that?
If you find all of this exhilarating, what's
the need for you?
If you aren't part of the one percent,
you are us.

(05:59):
You are part of the filthy masses that
the one percent couldn't care less about.
You may have lost your job or if
you own a business, lack of labor force,
the tariffs are killing you, whittling away at
your fund money and your subsidies have been
canceled.
You don't get special grocery pricing.
The farm that has been in your family
for generations will be bought for pennies on

(06:20):
the dollar by a billionaire and they'll be
more than happy to have you work on
that farm since you know it so well
and pay you next to nothing to do
it.
And don't get sick or grow old or
have a female you love be assaulted as
she must keep that baby to be the
next generation of worker bees.
Don't live in an area prone to natural
disasters because you won't get a warning anymore

(06:40):
and you won't get help from that government
you wanted so badly or from your state
that is now too broke to make up
the difference.
There'll be nothing for you either.
You are not the exception and that is
your near future.
It appears now that everything that is being
done is being done for you and that
was the ruse to let you think that

(07:01):
once again you could be mediocre and still
get a great job, a wife with no
rights or voice and not have to compete
with those who may be better or smarter
but didn't have the right skin.
But the joke's on you.
It may take a little longer for it
to really hit you but when it does
there'll be no one left to help you.
That's the thing with human nature and having
an exclusive superiority complex.

(07:23):
It will keep excluding and excluding until the
ideal is reached but those goal posts always
seem to move.
So stop lying to yourself now and wake
up before the day comes when your eyes
aren't blue enough.
Fight for America, a country full of promises,
one of which was no kings.

(07:45):
Speaking of no kings, I know many of
you will be participating in the many marches
that will be taking place tomorrow which is
why I'm doing my weekly episode a day
early.
With the aggression that has been shown and
is being promised by those in charge, it's
very important that you know how to keep
yourself safe should the protest be viewed as
civil unrest or a riot and then all
bets are off as far as how you

(08:06):
will be treated.
Here are some tips.
Civil unrest involves more than just avoiding the
immediate area.
It's about strategic planning, understanding how to react
and taking proactive measures.
Keep up with the news for information about
potential unrest or rioting.
Social media could be a help or a
hindrance so make sure you're following the accounts

(08:26):
of your town, city and state to be
aware of any measures being taken and if
there are any curfews.
Avoiding danger involves situational awareness and tactical decision
making.
Remaining aware of your environment is key to
avoid dangerous situations so always have a safety
plan and share it with your friends and
family.
If you find yourself near unrest, stay calm

(08:47):
and avoid engaging with agitators.
Seek shelter and if the situation escalates, use
barriers like walls and vehicles.
If you end up in a moving crowd,
keep your head down and move with it.
However, work your way towards the outside of
the crowd to avoid being trampled until you
can break out to somewhere safer such as
a doorway or inside a building avoiding the

(09:08):
windows.
If you're with loved ones, hold hands or
lock elbows if possible and carry small children.
Use a group messaging app to keep everyone
updated simultaneously.
If you're alone, share your location with loved
ones.
If you encounter law enforcement, keep your hands
out of your pockets and palms open so
they can see your hands are empty.

(09:28):
Hopefully that will make a difference.
If your home is near the activity, protect
your home by keeping your windows and doors
locked and use a door brace if you
have one.
Make sure your alarm system is working properly
and remove outdoor items that could be thrown
or burned.
Be ready to board up your windows with
plywood.
Stay inside and avoid getting involved in a

(09:49):
chaos.
Have food, water, and medication for at least
72 hours.
Check for evacuation routes from your home that
avoid the area if you have to leave
and keep your go bag handy in case
you have to leave quickly.
If you're part of the protest, remember that
you have the right to protest peacefully.
If you participate, note escape routes and stay
vigilant for any skirmishes that may break out.

(10:10):
If your instincts tell you to move, trust
yourself and move to a different spot.
Protecting yourself during protests means being prepared for
potential physical risks.
Bring water, snacks, and a small first aid
kit.
Use protective gear like a gas mask or
goggles, which can protect against tear gas or
debris.
Pay attention to what others may be carrying,
such as weapons, and stay on the move.

(10:32):
Avoid staying in one place for too long,
especially in active areas.
For clothing, keep it light and comfortable.
Avoid wearing jeans, and while they're not particularly
comfortable for long periods, it's better to have
steel-toed boots to protect your feet.
Preparation can make all the difference, so it's
crucial to think ahead and be ready for
unexpected situations.

(10:53):
Creating a safety plan involves anticipating scenarios and
having responses
ready, allowing you to identify and create safe

(11:16):
locations.
Establish a good communication method to contact your
family or friends and set meeting points if
you're with a group in case you get
separated.
And while you're out there, share regular updates
to keep your loved ones informed about your
location and whether or not you're safe.
As for prepping in general, time is running
out.
If you haven't been preparing for what I
warned was coming, you'll find yourself out in

(11:38):
these streets facing all kinds of danger you
didn't have to.
This is your last opportunity to get it
together.
Stay safe out there and look out for
each other.
Until next time, this is the Urban Lady
Prepper signing off.
