Som en brumbasse, der ikke ved at den ikke kan flyve, rakte Frem ud efter medaljer og fik dem af bronze i sommeren 1992.
Forholdene for Valby-klubben var markant anderledes end for de øvrige tophold i Superligaen. Hvor klubber som Brøndby, AGF og B1903 kunne tage på træningslejr sydpå, bestod vintertræningen i Frem under træner Ole Mørks ledelse blandt andet af trappeløb på Ellebjerg Station.
Alligevel var 1992 et sportsligt flot år for Frem'erne. Men det var også et år, hvor tunge skyer trak sig sammen over klubben. Økonomien var bundrådden, og i 1993 blev Frem erklæret konkurs og tvangsnedrykket til danmarksserien.
