In this episode, Sarah Harris joins us to talk about Hospitality and Hosting foreign exchange students. Hospitality is a beautiful way to reflect God’s love and care for others. In Scripture, we’re encouraged to welcome strangers, share meals, and provide comfort to those in need, as seen in verses like Romans 12:13, which says, “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” By offering our homes, our time, or simply a listening ear, we embody the heart of Jesus—who was and is always welcoming and compassionate toward others.
Hospitality doesn’t just meet physical needs; it also builds relationships and creates an environment where people can feel loved, valued, and seen. It pleases God because it mirrors His generous and welcoming nature, and it provides for others by meeting both their practical and emotional needs.
In Hebrews 13:2, we’re reminded, “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”
What a beautiful reminder that our acts of kindness and generosity can have eternal significance.
