Let's chat today about how we are sometimes driven by thoughts in our subconscious, which we may be entirely unaware of. These thoughts form actions driven by internal messages lurking under the surface in our hearts;
- “If I can keep everyone happy, manage their mood, please others…”
- “if I gain their acceptance or approval…”
- “If I can earn my seat at table…into the circle…to the promotion….”
- “Then, I will be worthy. And if I feel worthy, I will finally have hope.”
This is a HOPE DUD driven by the BOO (the Big Opinions of Others) aka people pleasing and it falls flat and robs us of peace. It is exhausting, soul sucking, and hope draining. Let’s stop buying the lie that our performance and what people think of us determine our self worth!
