(01:11):
There's. Something.
Strange in here. What's?
The we'll go ahead and cut that short.
How are we doing out there? Whim Nation.
Thank you all for coming to the live show.
We are now post live show. If you are a Patreon, if you are

(01:36):
a patron on the Patreon, it is available on there for you to
see for you to view. Just keep in mind, you know,
it's a live setting. I don't have a cameraman.
So it's it's one shot, but you can still get a feel for the for
the action it's got. It's got pretty good audio,
honestly great audio. It it's honestly great audio.

(01:59):
I say the only thing is, you know, we didn't have the
audience miked. So if you you might listen, it's
like, wow, they're bombing the whole time.
Not necessarily. It's just you know that you
can't, you know, it's, it's actually such such a good audio
capturing of our speaking that you can't hear the audience very

(02:20):
much. But I will tell you, we had a
great audience. It was probably the best
audience we've ever seen. And it's the first audience I've
ever seen. Win Nation, the one and only.
It's the very best. Oh, oh, I'm going to come.
And I did live on stage. And you can watch it on the

(02:41):
Patreon even for just $1.00, youknow, just get on there.
I will release it for free. Don't worry.
I don't worry. But if you you know, let's say
you missed the live show and youfeel a little guilty.
Is it? Oh, I, I want to show my

(03:03):
support, but I just couldn't make.
I just couldn't get out of bed. I was scrolling on TikTok all
day. I just couldn't.
Oh, I there was something there was something more important.
There was some protest. I I had to miss your show.
I'm so sorry. Well, for $1.00 you can become a
patron and support the show $12.00 a year.

(03:26):
And and it'll, it'll, it'll all be forgiven.
You will no longer be dead to me.
I'm just kidding. It was so fun.
I can't wait to do it again. And I think it was, I think, I
think, I think it was a success.I mean DD mega Doo Doo.

(03:54):
I'm sorry. I think it was a shocking
success. Nothing beats a Jetsu holiday
Yeah, I think it was AI think itwas a banger.
I think. OK, so so let's go through some
notes here. Sorry, First off, we're doing a

(04:19):
self pod today and I know peoplehate, hate it when it's just me.
I know that there's oh, it's just, it's almost, it's almost
half of a product. You know, when I don't have a
guest, but there was a guest andI understand there was.
So there's, there's been a lot of sickness going around

(04:41):
McLennan County. And I think a lot of people, I
feel like a lot of people are, are sick with something.
Let's just say it's Trump's COVID 2.00.
We were. I'm going to come.
And yeah, girl cock, almost fat all over there.

(05:08):
Girl cock. Sorry.
Just in case you didn't hear that first one.
Yeah, that sound clip was going off a ton during the live show.
So go, you know, stop right here, go to the Patreon and go
listen to it. And it if it's you know, if it's
later, then it'll be it'll be free later.

(05:32):
But thank you so much cast Mitchell, Jen and Kelly for
coming out there and really banging it out.
I mean, we were banging, we werebanging live on stage.
It was a it's a lost art form that live banging for sure.

(05:55):
And the audience, the audience was great.
They were they were laughing. We I couldn't believe they
thought we were funny. They thought, they thought, you
know, they thought they thought we were funny.

(06:17):
And we actually weren't trying to be funny.
We were trying to be serious. But they kept laughing, laughing
at us. Stand up straight when you're
talking. They kept, they kept laughing
even when we were sad. And I'll never forgive him.

(06:47):
Maybe the next time will be different and they'll
understand. They'll understand what art is.
I'm going to come. So yeah, it was awesome.
They were laughing. They were having a great time.
And one of the things that I'm going to push for the next time
and then I, I didn't say enough and I didn't talk about enough

(07:11):
is that it's going to be a lot of audience involvement.
A lot of audience. You know, you can yell out, you
can, you can Heckle, you can, you can scream at the top of
your lungs. You can interrupt, you can, we
can talk, we can conversate. We, we did a lot of bringing

(07:31):
the, the microphone down to people and talking to them and
doing bits. And now some of that, some of
that you can't see from the single angle, but you just have
to, I mean, if you listen, the audio is great.
And so the stuff that we got with the mic, you will be able
to hear and imagine what what isgoing on.

(07:55):
But yeah, overall a great success.
I couldn't be happier. I and I did a little bit of, I
did a little bit of a, I did a little bit of a loose 5 at the
beginning and I was like a little bit of a little fiver of
my attempt at stand up. And I thought it was OK.
You know, I hadn't, I didn't, I hadn't previously done it in

(08:17):
front of anybody. I just worked it out on my own
and just did it. And hopefully it wasn't total
garbage. I don't think it was, but go
take a look. And yeah, thank you for coming
out. It was a real banger.
And thank you, you know, thank you.

(08:39):
Let's let's just go down the list.
I I I don't want to list actually anybody.
Thank you. David Corkill for the guy that
runs the pack Waco. I mean, he made it so easy.
So he made it to where I didn't feel like a dumb ass.
You know, I didn't feel embarrassed to be doing my like

(09:01):
first live show. Like he definitely helped me
through it and I could ask questions and that was fine.
And I thought that was really important.
I love what they're doing there. And we're definitely going to be
talking about doing the next one.
We're going to be talking, we'regoing to be talking, we're going
to be talking about doing another one and another one and
another one and another one. You know what I'm saying?

(09:23):
But the trick will be getting people to come back and when the
right time to do that is becauseobviously not big enough to just
like do one every month. People will be like what?
Another one. Jesus, fucking right.
Oh my God. I I fake laugh through the first
one. I don't want to be going through
another one, you know, So betrayal.

(09:49):
Yeah, I feel like, yes, some people who were brought along,
I'm just like, hey, we're going to go see this live podcast.
It's going to be wild. You're going to love it.
And they went with their partner.
And by the end, they definitely felt betrayal because they were

(10:10):
like, what the fuck did you bring me to?
But hopefully you had fun. I know I had fun.
I was sweating like I was sweating like crazy.
I was dripping balls, my sweats,my balls was dripping with balls
of sweat, balls, sweat, sweaty balls.

(10:32):
And by the middle, I got it under control.
I was extremely nervous and you know, you know, run and because
like it's not, I couldn't just run up there and just do this.
You know, I had to, I had to plan so that way we don't like

(10:54):
don't hit like a, a dry patch and which I we might have at
some point, like, you know, hit a bump in the road.
I had to pack things up. I had to unload things.
I had to set things up in a likeget, get the get the lighting
and answer questions. It was a crazy, it was a crazy
deal. But thank you for my little team

(11:18):
for a making it possible. And it was so fun.
It was so fun. I hope I hope people in really
enjoyed it and they weren't justlying to my face.
No, I think by the energy that we that was coming both ways.
I think it was a good time. And if you missed it, you missed
out. But look for the next date.

(11:41):
I'm going to try to shoot for some time, you know, in the
spring, you know, not, but not nothing for the rest of this
year. But give it some time.
Maybe a March, maybe a maybe a February March, maybe a
February, March, April, one of those, one of those months.
It's getting a little crazy in here.
It's getting a little fucking nuts.

(12:03):
We're making moves, we're makingmoves.
We're making. We're doing show business.
I was backstage going like, hey, show business, showbiz, this is
what we do. We make shows.
Hold on to your butts. And his name is John C Fear

(12:36):
Magneto. I'm sorry, I had to blame a
bunch of those. Sounds like a drink some fucking
water, dude. Doing a little, doing a little
self pod, you get a little, you get a little ahead of yourself
and you start talking real fast and you start talking so much.
OK, that is all just kind of an illusion, right?

(12:58):
And your mouth gets all wet because it's trying to, it's
trying to keep up with, with what you're doing.
So it's, it's moistening. So you got to keep it moist with
water. Otherwise you're going to get
dry mouth, You're going to get sticky mouth.
And it's, you're going to hear all the noises and you can't,
you can't fucking edit them out.At least I can.
I'm not a fucking sound engineer.
So I got to keep my mouth filledwith this goddamn purified

(13:20):
drinking water. All right.
Oh, Hercules, Hercules. Hercules.
Damn Magneto. Oh God, but yeah, I had a guess.
But there's some sickness. So I'm doing a self pod and I
just yeah, I just wanted to say thank you for everybody coming
out and talk about the live showand hopefully and those that are

(13:43):
out of towners and because the out of town fans, I have a
feeling those are going to be the people that mainly watch the
live show online. Tell me if you have any notes,
like what, what you would like to see, what you would like us

(14:05):
to do for the recording. Now just keep in mind it's
probably going to be 1 angle, maybe 2 angles.
I'm working on something. Maybe we can do 2 angles, maybe
even in the studio. I'm, I'm toying with it.
You know, I'm only one man. I'm only one man.

(14:27):
I'm only one Batman #1 Batman blind as a bat.
Poly bag special edition. Each bag includes 1 randomly
inserted foil variant cover by asuperstar artist.
OK, the live show is big success.

(14:51):
My guest for today was sick. Down with the sickness.
But I've been getting into comics.
I've been trying to take life a smidge slower, OK, I'm trying to

(15:11):
not burn myself out. And one of the ways is like, OK,
reading. Reading slows things down, I
think. And I enjoy reading.
And I was reading, I think it's the way of Kings, the Oh my God,

(15:33):
what is his name? He's so good.
Way of Kings, Way of Kings, the Brandon Sanderson series.
So I made a little bit of way into it and I got distracted and

(15:53):
I'm going to still keep reading it because I love it.
But I was like, I need somethingmore bite size to get me back
into reading. And I was like, what have I
always loved? Well, I've always loved comic
book characters, OK. And I've always loved Marvel and
I loved Marvel movies. And I loved Marvel before the
MCU, way back when I was a kid when I was a Tobey Maguire and

(16:15):
the X-Men and Blade before, before MCU.
And I used to have the Marvel Encyclopedia and it was all
based on the comics and the loreand everything.
But I never bought comics and I never bought graphic novels
because they're just, they're just too expensive.
And I, I just, I just counted them out.

(16:35):
But now that I'm older, I'm like, well, well, what if, what
if I grab a couple? What if I go to, you know, we
have had a couple friends of theshow that, that, that work at
the local comic book shop. And I was like, yeah, what if I

(16:56):
just, what if I just go in thereperuse, you know, look around,
all right, look around at the look around at the comic books
and see if there's anything thatfucking strikes my fancy.
And I'll tell you what they did.And now I'm hopelessly addicted

(17:19):
and I'm going to have too many comics.
I've gone in there I've gone in there now, like every day in the
last couple days, just digging and looking and just because I
like I'm basing it off of the characters and then the and the

(17:40):
covers and I'm just kind of likethis looks cool.
This looks cool. Let's try this one.
Let's try this this line. Let's try this story arc and see
where it takes us, You know, Andthen like a couple weeks ago,
they had that big sale at the Austin Books and Comics.
And I did that. I need to do that little

(18:00):
Instagram reel where I showed myhall or whatever and I I like
went crazy. And yeah, so I'm just like, I'm
in it. So that's going to be a, you
know, this is going to be a phase.
It's probably, it's probably going to stick.
But I mean, it's definitely going to be a phase of the
podcast where it's like, OK, Eric starts talking about comic
books at some points. And yeah, I think I just want

(18:24):
them to be. I think I want them to be
they're pretty, they're really popular a little bit like I'm,
I'm not going to be the one thatpopularizes them.
But I also just want to like, people can relax about them.
Like, they can be a casual thingthat doesn't have to be like,
oh, you're a fucking nerd, like,or any type of stigma.
Like you don't have to collect them.

(18:46):
I just think it's really cool. I know I've had guests talk
about physical media. It's a really cool physical
media that, yeah, we need to, it's like, yeah, I'm the
artists. And especially before AI takes
it away. And I, I don't think it's going

(19:07):
to cause it's the special artists and all of that stuff is
so, so fun and special. But anyways, let's cut to the
fucking chase. Oh, I've got Batman, Batman #1
Blind is a bat Poly bag special edition and I saved it for this
recording, so let's open her right here.

(19:30):
I don't. There's a certain amount of
variance. I'm looking for something gold.
OK, I'm looking for something gold and I don't want to RIP
this, but I did not plan it ahead of time.
Oh my God, Oh my God. She's foil.

(19:54):
She's foil, but she's not gold people.
Oh, but man. Oh tits McGee, check it out.
Oh, you can barely even see a dog.
Let me flash that bitch. Dude, look.

(20:15):
Look at that fucking utility belt.
That's a gold dangus on that thing.
Holy moly. Wow, wow, wow.
This is so fun. So yeah, there was like a bunch
of variants and you don't know which one you're going to get.

(20:36):
And I know some people hate that, but me coming from Magic
the Gathering and Pokémon, I fucking love it.
I fucking love the lottery, dude.
I fucking love gambling, bro. Yeah, Speaking of gambling,
slight tangent, we'll get back to comic books.
But gambling I do enjoy. I do not, I do not I I I hard

(21:01):
stance and I hardline not gambling on my phone or gambling
online. I just I just hard stance that
just like fuck it. That's fucking stupid.
It's a waste of time, waste of money.
It's more fun and the only way to get the true value of
gambling is 1 when you're getting like physical different

(21:26):
yadda yadda. And I'll I'll defend that, but
like physical yadda yadda, meaning like cards or or comic
book variants out of a blind bag, whatever.
But I think the only way to get the true value of gambling is
when you're with your friends and everybody's hyping you up

(21:52):
and you're going to roll the dice or you're going to hit and
blackjack, whatever. And there's got to be an energy
around it. You know, like a oh, Hercules,
Hercules, Hercules. People have to, people have to
be hyping you up. Oh, wait, fuck that one.

(22:16):
Here here's another one. That's the Predator noise.
And Speaking of the Predator, Predator kills the Marvel

(22:38):
Universe. Predator kills the Marvel
Universe. Sorry, there's a silver hair
from my costumes. Yeah, costumes.
I'm moving them around. Moving around costumes.
Getting ready for how Or whimp aqueen.

(23:02):
But anyways, OK, gambling. Gambling is only truly valuable
if there's hype around it and there's a party atmosphere.
That's why Vegas is fun. That's why casinos are fun.
But just like tapping little things on your phone and just
like, sweating over prize picks or something, it sounds

(23:27):
horrible. I mean, it sounds like AAK hole,
like a maybe K holes are great. I have no idea.
Yeah, that sounds horrible, but yeah, so.
OK, so for those that aren't watching what I pulled out, what

(23:48):
or what I've been pulling out are comic books.
And one of them, the the one that I ripped open and I got to
see which variant I got was Batman #1 is like a blue and
black Batman and kind of style. And it's all foily and he's got
a yellow gold belt and he's hardas a rock, I think.

(24:10):
But then the other one that I pulled out was Predator Kills
the Marvel Universe. This is issue #2 I've already
read number one, but yeah, Predator kills the Marvel
Universe. I thought this was about Diddy
having a four way with Evans, Hemsworth and Pratt.

(24:33):
But yeah, it was just kind of like a, a Chris Roulette, like a
crisscross applesauce, the MCU And yeah, each Chris gets a
piece of his ass and then Diddy gets a piece of it of each of
the, you know, Chris's it's justa big old MCU, but whatever.

(24:53):
But that's not what it's about. Predator kills the Marvel
Universe is really cool. It's it's this guy.
I don't know if you remember Predator with Arnold and
Predators evolved into all of these other movies and
everything same as Alien. But yeah, these crossover comics

(25:14):
are super cool because like if you don't like one thing, you
can kind of like the other thing.
And then they like they like dipinto each other and which is
they didn't just had the Deadpool Batman and Deadpool
Batman is two different is Marvel and DC different and they
put them together. So there's what I got.
I got a damn blank cover, which is apparently cool if you're an

(25:41):
artist and you can draw your owncover.
And I'm, I'm not going to fucking do that.
But I was super bummed. I was like, do you guys have any
other cover variants? Like nobody.
That's the last one. And I was just like,
motherfucker, sorry. I got a fucking nine to five

(26:03):
sometimes way after 5, and I barely made it in here closing
at six. Just kidding.
I love, I love the store, but God damn it.
Open, stay open later. Jesus Christ.
All right, let's look at some news here.

(26:28):
What has happened recently in the news?
Nothing too crazy in the news except this Fox News guy wants
to euthanize stray people. Well, yeah.

(26:49):
Larry showed up on her front porch one day and we can't keep
him, so we had to get him put down.
He was disease ridden. That's the humane way to do it.
Yeah. These these cats and dogs, I
mean, unhoused, Yeah. That's pretty crazy.

(27:11):
The Who wants to euthanize the homeless people?
Yeah. And then Jimmy Kimmel gets
fired. Yeah, yeah, leave Jimmy Kimmel

(27:36):
alone, let him do his late nightshow.
I like you know, the late night format is definitely you know,
it's definitely old and outdatedand whatever, but like this
isn't the this is definitely notthe way to end it.

(27:58):
It's pretty bleak for free speech.
But yeah, it's pretty bleak for free speech.
And yeah, yeah, leave Jimmy alone, leave Stephen Colbert

(28:20):
alone. Like if there's if the show, if
the show is tanking, the show istanking.
But don't you know, we're not going to, We're not going to,
we're not going to stop them from saying whatever they want
to say. And even when it's not even that
crazy at all, you know. And anyways, late night stuff

(28:54):
always makes me think of myself anytime the late night shows are
in the news because I have a huge, huge late night show.
No, I, I loved watching the latenight shows growing up and they

(29:17):
gave me comfort before bed. To be honest, I haven't watched
any in the last, you know, probably 10 years of my life.
I really haven't watched late night, but the idea is fun and
they're like, you know, to modela podcast after, you know, a a
dying style. I'm still trying to do it

(29:41):
obviously differently and I'm not having full blown
celebrities on and having bite sized whatevers and then getting
silenced by the FCC over literally nothing.

(30:01):
But yeah, it is a pretty crazy. It is a pretty crazy yeah.
Nothing else in the news. I'm just reading my comic books,
having finally getting to reach, finally getting to recharge from

(30:25):
the the the live show and I think they will get easier for
me. I think it was so draining, not
draining, but I was so exhaustedby the the end of it and after
finishing all because I was so worried leading up to it that it
would be kind of a catastrophe or that people wouldn't like it.

(30:47):
I what I wasn't worried about people coming like, yeah,
hopefully people come and peopledid come.
We had a great, great turn out. It was, it was, it was way more
people than I expected. I don't know the exact numbers,
but like it was just way more. And it was so fun.
It was so fun. But where was I going with this?

(31:09):
Oh, yeah. It was exhausted by the end
because I was just so anxious. I was like, what do I do?
What do I do? You know and?
No God, no God, please no, no, no, no.

(31:33):
I'm a dude playing a dude. Disguise is another dude.
I see you feels agreed. Good Lord, I'm back.
Oh, man. But yeah, super anxious about

(31:55):
the whole thing. Turned out great.
My nerves will be better for each one and it will become
easier. We can incorporate more
interesting things, have more fun.
But yeah, the OneNote that Davidand I discussed was like, let's
really push David Corkel. He was great.

(32:16):
He's like, he's like, really. Remember to let them know ahead
of time that it's really interactive and people can be
involved with the show. And it's like, you know, it's
not just us sitting up there notinteracting with, not talking to
you. And in a lot of ways, the

(32:37):
audience was just as much a partof the cast as the four of us
were. So it was so fun, so fun.
I haven't. I have nothing but good things
to say about it was it was really special to me and it was
really, really fun and I'll remember it forever.

(32:59):
The very first worst impressionslive.
Thank you all for listening to Worst Impressions.
Thank you for getting me. It's the first worst impressions

next one and if you want to be on the show, let me fucking

(33:22):
know. We've got Wimpa Wien right
around the corner. I got to get people in these
seats, OK? I got to get people in these
seats for Wimpa Wing, OK? And we got to talk about it.
We're going to talk about it. We're going to talk about
Halloween and how we're going todress up, OK?

(33:44):
We're going to do it. Don't forget to spy.
You need your pets. Good night.
