So take a little breath
because I want to offer you a question,
one that may shift everything youthink you know about your journey.
What if you're already the personyou need to be to reach your dreams?
Just let that land for a minute.

(01:13):
What are the version you've beenchasing through hustle, through
striving and endless personaldevelopment isn't somewhere off
in the distance, but already here.
Right now in this moment,
we don't often con considerthat possibility, do we?

(01:37):
But first off, we have to be clear.
That there are thingsbetween you and realizing
that you are that person already,
and a lot of them have to do with beliefs.

(02:01):
You know, what?
If all the things that seemed likethey didn't work out actually did?
What if every closed door, every GTtour, every one of your heartbreak
and every delay was exactlywhat you needed to happen.

(02:24):
Not to stop you, but to shape you,
to move you out of alignmentwith what's not meant for you and
into alignment with something.
Greater and exactlywhat you're meant to be.

(02:46):
You know, every challenge you'veovercome has been building
your foundation brick by brick,
what looked like failure
and you getting back up again,helped to build your strength.

(03:08):
Getting out there overand over and over again.
Build up your resilience.
When you look back on those moments with adifferent set of eyes and you reframed the
way you saw things, you develop wisdom.

(03:29):
I know for myself, I believe that.
I owe all my light to all my darkness.
I know that everything I wentthrough that really troubled me.
Every time I hurt.
Every time I was crushed inlife, it taught me to understand

(03:52):
what it feels like to feel pain.
And when I got past this thought thatthere was something wrong with me.
Like, I deserve this pain.
Like, like this is what I deserve in life.
And it started reframing it andlook, go from one question I

(04:12):
used to live in was like, why me?
Or life's unfair.
Or I used to say life ispain and pain is life.
And if you're not a.
Cause of the pain, you're avictim of it, and I'd rather
not be a cause of others' pain.
But when I stopped askingthe question, why me?

(04:33):
And started asking the question, and thisis my question now that I ask all the
time, what is this trying to teach me?
What am I learning from this?
This was where my empathy andcompassion came from because of
everything I've been through.
When I see somebody in pain.
I, I rise and I meet them, meet them at,at that place, and I hold space with them.

(05:04):
And it's, it's this desire to easeanother suffering because I know what
it feels like to be there and I don'twant other people to live there.
And.
You know, the other thing I realizedtoo, going through life is your

(05:27):
joy is actually given to you byyour ability to feel the lows.
And one of the truths of life I'velearned is if you can't meet yourself
at the bottom, you will never have anopportunity to meet yourself at the top.

(05:50):
Every day you, every day you gotback out there and worked harder and
struggled and made it through andovercame each workout, each run, each
time you struggled mentally, physically,emotionally, and you got back up again.
That built your endurance.

(06:12):
None of, none of the things thathave happened in your life, even the
things that have happened recentlyare, are happening right now.
None of these are accidents.
They're, they're the tools that you'veearned through the tough moments that you
thought would break you, but they didn't.

(06:32):
So remember, if you're going throughhard things right now or if you're
struggling with thoughts or wondering ifthat dream that you want to go to, that
you desire, that you're moving towards,
if you're feeling like
you're afraid that you won't makeit, understand that, number one, you

(06:54):
wouldn't be given a dream that youhave if you weren't meant to chase it.
And understand when you get to ahigh level of what you're doing,
that's when it gets really hard.
That's when you dig in and everythingyou've gone through up to this point
has been building the strength soyou can fight the stronger and the

(07:14):
harder and the more important battles.
If you're getting close to theactualization, your dream is gonna be
really hard right now, but you know what?
You made it through everysingle bad day in your life.
You have a hundred percent success rate.
This will be no different.

(07:34):
And think about it, thoseso-called failures, maybe
they weren't failures at all.
Maybe some of them were mirrors,reflecting the parts of yourself that
needed healing, clarity, or redirection.
Not to shame you, but to show you,not to block you, but to build you,

(08:01):
you know?
This is one thing I wanna remind youguys over and over again is sometimes we
forget that the greatest breakthroughsare often born from the deepest breakdowns
and the most powerful transformationcomes disci disguised the setbacks.
And I mean, my story, right?

(08:21):
I've said it before, but I'lltalk about it a bit again.
I've been building myself up and thinking.
That,
that if I got to like an important jobwith an important title, then I'd finally

(08:41):
feel joy and I could be like important.
So I worked my way up into a managementposition at a really high profile job and.
You know, it's funny 'cause likeeven going into that, I knew there
was something else I needed to do.
I, I had a bigger calling than that.

(09:02):
But all these beliefs and the factthat I wasn't smart enough and I
didn't have enough money and I couldn'tmake it through, and, you know, all
these beliefs, all these things inmy path, in between me and my dream.
So I took this job thinkingthat was, that was the answer.

(09:24):
That's like, I'm gonnafinally be somebody.
And it was the hardest thing I ever did.
And so now I was stuck in a corner becauseI'd moved up and you can't go back.
I basically burnt the bridges ofgoing backwards, and yet I wasn't
actually ready for this kind of work.
And also the, the levelof stress was so high.

(09:50):
And I wasn't sleeping.
I was waking up at like three inthe morning and I'd just go to work
because like can't get back to sleep.
And I was losing weight.
And then one day, uh, anotheremergency call in, I got there,
I took care of it, I went home.
I, I sat on the couch and I couldn'tcatch my breath and my chest was tight.

(10:13):
And I, I'm just like, I'm tryingto calm myself down and I can't.
So I, I hustled down to theclinic across the street.
I walked in the door and the, uh, thereceptionist was like, oh, can I help you?
I'm like, I'm having trouble breathing.
She rushed me into the room,went I could hear her banging on
the door, pulled the doctor out.

(10:34):
The doctor came and assessed meand sent me right to the right to
St. Paul's, which is a hospitaldowntown, right into the cardiac ward.
They admitted me right away.
They started doing testafter test after test.
And I'm just sitting therelike, I can't do this anymore.

(10:55):
My life's over.
And I said to, you know, if there'sanybody listening out there,
get me through this and Ipromise I'll find out what I'm
supposed to do in this life.

(11:15):
Now it turned out it was justreally high level of stress, but
this was the answer have, haveyou ever heard this idea that
nothing will ever change untilthe pain of staying the same is

(11:35):
greater than the pain of change?
And once you hit that threshold.
You'll just automatically change.
So I quit the job
and that was the exact thing thatled me to what I do right now.

(11:58):
That led me to this moment,led me to a job where every
day I get to care about people.
I get to take care of people.
I get to hold space for peopleevery single day of my life.
Now I'm making a difference in the world.
And maybe it's small, maybeit's bigger than I know.
I don't know.
But the truth is, the focus ofmy life right now is helping.

(12:21):
The purpose of my life is helping,and the thing that gave it to, to me
was the hardest moment of my life.
So I ask you.
What if even the hard moments werenecessary and you know, I know they are.

(12:42):
What if, and even more so when you'reworking towards something huge, right?
Maybe you're a runner.
Maybe you are working towards atime, maybe you're already top 10 in
the nation, but you want, you needor want to be top three because tho
there's three spots at the biggest.

(13:05):
Events in the world and you wantto be in one of those three spots.
What if there's actually, if you keep ongoing, this is if you keep on striving,
if you keep on pushing, if you don't quit.
If you fight past the in society,past the fear, past the stress pass
the doubt past the internal dialogue.

(13:26):
What if there's actually a finite number?
A bad or painful moment that youneed to go through on your path
to the most beautiful, expansive,dream and life you could have.
And with each one you move through, youget closer to the breakthrough, to the

(13:46):
dream, to the goal, to the joy, the love,the clarity you've been dreaming of.
What if all these things.
Are not punishment.
What if their preparation,
what if the universe, your inner wisdom,whatever name resonates for you, has

(14:12):
been holding space all along for youto rise, for you to remember to return
to who you've always been, who you areborn, why you have the dream you have.
That dream wasn't given to you.
Just just to sit there,because this journey is not

(14:32):
about becoming someone else.
It's about unbecoming everything.
You're not, it's letting go of the story.
It's the pressure, the fear,the old identities that were
really never yours to carry.
It is getting out of yourown way, pushing harder.

(14:56):
It's not just physical though.
'cause like the amazing athletes I know,they'll, pushing harder is the easy part.
It's, it's dealing withthe internal dialogue.
It's holding back when you need to.
It's all those other things.
The things that look easy, but arethe hardest things for you to do.

(15:17):
What if it's that?
Getting out of your ownway isn't pushing harder.
It's about softening.
It's not about force like so much force.
It's not pushing, it'snot striving, it's not.
It's about faith.
It's about unknow.

(15:38):
That the reason you have thatdream is because you are the one
who will accomplish that dream.
As soon as you get allthose things out of the way,
it's not about the hustle,it's about aligning yourself.
And I know this sounds simple,

(16:02):
but I know it's not always easy.
Because we condition, we'vebeen conditioned to believe
that we're not enough as we are.
We've been conditioned to compare, tocompete, and even, I mean, me Too, every
day to constantly strive for worthiness.
Like it's like I have this context thatI'm not good enough, so I try harder and

(16:27):
it reminds me of how I'm not good enough.
So I try harder and it's a cycle.
And you know what?
The cycle continues.
And it will continue over andover again until we learn it.
But the truth is, the more we try tobecome somebody we think we should be,
the further we drift from who we are.

(16:50):
You've heard me say it before,what you know about yourself and
your life limits you to that.
So you gotta let go of what you know.
You can have strong suspicions, butyou need to create space that you could
be more than you could ever dream.
Even the positive things limit us.
Don't create a glass ceiling.

(17:13):
So today, right now, in thismoment, I invite you to shift.
Not by doing more, but by doing less, lessthinking, less indulging the inner critic,
less pushing, less analyzing everything,

(17:38):
less holding onto the fearsand the anxiety and the worry.
Just let go.
Let go of that voice thatsays, you're not ready.
Let go of the belief thatyou need to prove yourself.
Let go of the fear thatyou're falling behind.

(18:00):
You're not.
You're on purpose.
You're intentional, and you'reon the purpose of your life,
and the timing is perfect.
Be patient and trust
because you're not.
You're right on time.
You are actually becoming more you

(18:22):
every single day.
And if you know me, you'll know.
One of the things I, I tellpeople, this is one of the
crazy, um, things about life.
If you came to see meand you were injured.
On your way out the door, I wouldprobably tell you the last thing
I would tell you that time is payattention to how it's different.

(18:45):
Pay attention to the shifts,not how it's the same
because.
Everything is subtly changing insmall quantities every single day,
and because you live with yourself 247, 365, and the shift is so slow, it

(19:06):
takes a long time before you noticethe shift, but it's changing every
day, unless of course you're watching.
It's like myself.
Recently I tore my hamstring.
And in order to really, really see thatthings are changing, I had to create a

(19:27):
measurement that I would pay attention to.
And it was simply at, for the firstfew days, I would take three steps
in one direction as straight steps,and then I'd have shooting pains.
And then by the third day I couldprobably take about five or six.
And in my clinic, when I go to thewashroom, it's a great measurement

(19:49):
because, so there was a, a, aftera few days I was able to make it to
the, the, there's a, an X-ray office.
I was able to make it to that door andafter a day or so after that, I could
make it to the door, to the bathroomand, and just, it kept on, I could see
the small shifts and like we're talking,changing two or three steps a day

(20:12):
and.
Then as well as I was watching for mymindset, because my mindset is I'm falling
behind and all these other crazy things
and I, I just kept on payingattention to how things were shifting.
How I was, there was lesspain when I was sitting.
There was less pain when, andyou know, I'm two weeks out and

(20:33):
I finally did my first set ofstrengthening rehab exercises.
Remember, you're right on time
and you're becoming more you every dayand not the story, and not the inner

(20:55):
critic and not the negative stuff.
You are becoming more ofthat person that you are
if you're a runner.
You think about this for a second.
Can you see yourself

(21:17):
standing on the line in the stadium?
You can hear the roar.
You looked to your left,you looked to your right,
and there are people in that heatwith you Who are your heroes?
Look down at your bib.
It's an Olympic bib.
Your name's on it.

(21:40):
That's who you are.
There's only a number ofthings in between you and that.

(22:06):
So, like I said, you're right on time.
You're becoming more you everyday, and that is the quiet power,
that is the subtle and sacred artof getting out of your own way.

It's okay to be still, and it's sookay to come back to yourself, the real
