Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's up guys, all right.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
The injuries for practice today, Alfred Collins with a hip
will be limited, The winners knees will be limited, Ricky
personal knee will be limited.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Brock perty to will be limited. That's it.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
You said on Monday that you wanted basically three days
of aggressive practices for Brock before determining. Yeah, does that
mean because he's limited, Does that mean that it can't
be an aggressive type of practice.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
No, it'll be aggressive practice. We just we just got
to put limited if it's not exactly how normally is.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
So can you will he be running the first team offense?
Are you? Are you trying to build him toward the
point where he could start on Sunday?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (00:43):
For this week?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (00:44):
Okay, God, we haven't seen practice obviously.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
How has he looked as far as his mobility, accuracy?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
You know, how's he looked.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I think each week it's gotten better, with lastly being
the best. I mean, each week has been different. So
if he takes a big forward this week like he
did last week, I should have a good chance to
play A.

Speaker 6 (01:04):
Hard decision to make, given how well mac John's plans.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
No, it's not a hard decision. It's just more about
Brock's health. And it's been awesome how Max played. He's
been great. But we got a lot of confidence in
Brock and we know Brock will play at a high
level too as long as he's healthy.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Roachie look at as a coach with him in terms
of his mechanics and fundamentals. You watched the flootwork and
like his release and stuff, or is that more like
you'll get to that on the film, Like what do
you catch on the field.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
You can just feel it. I mean the guy you've
been around for a while like I have Brock. I
mean you can just feel how the ball comes off,
how he moves, how he reacts. I can get in
the film room and stare at it for a lot
longer than I probably should. And I could do that
on the field, but I watch other things. But usually
you can feel it on the field.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
You feel it against Jacksonville that it wasn't right.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Uh yeah, yeah, it felt a little off.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah, it's being a preparation, Junkie.

Speaker 7 (01:56):
Help him get back to his field and be ready.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Faster only way you can be.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I mean, when you're heard if you check out in football,
just with what happens every week from a game plan standpoint,
from how much goes on for a quarterback and still
all other positions. If you check out while you're injured,
you can't come back and play right away.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Roach if you had to have a discussion about not
pressing once he.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Does come back, not pressing, not.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Pressing especially mentally and feeling the pressure of the outside noise.
Uh no, weah, I know we haven't talked about that.
Things we've talked about are just making sure when you
come back that you feel one hundred percent so you
don't have to worry about anything like that. Brocks Fille
one hundred percent and confident in that way, then I
think he's got nothing to worry about on a game.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
There a point in the season where you, as far
as the Thursday practices, take off the pads and sort
of pull back on the Thursday sessions.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Not on Thursdays. I mean we have to by a
certain time. I think we're allowed fifteen, so I think
we always stop.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Then.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
A lot of times on Thursdays we'll get two periods
in and take them off the second two.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Most of the time, most depends on what who.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I have on the team, But usually guys don't like that,
like Trent and everyone's take the pads off once they're on.
It's just more annoying for him. You practice a little
bit differently as the year goes, whether you have pads
on or off, but that's something we usually do.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Like the last five weeks, you.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
Had to go a little bit lighter on the Thursday sessions.
Just give him all of the injuries that you've been
dealing with.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Oh yeah, we did last the last two weeks because
of some injuries and they've affected our last three Wednesdays
also and they effect today.

Speaker 8 (03:33):
The Ricky Pear saw you were kind of slightly detailed
about what you were hoping to see out of prop
before you kind of gave him the goalie hit to
go out there and play. You did, so you were
hoping to get rise yourself back half days with being
what are you hoping to see out of him in
practice as far as rips or how moving to ensure
that you're okay putting.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Them out there on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
I mean, they told me he's healthy, So I'll see
today from my own eyes when your practices and I'm
sure I'll look that way. And as long as he does,
and he's good to go.

Speaker 9 (04:00):
You've been asked about this earlier in the season. It's
still ongoing. You guys haven't had a run of more
than twenty yards, you know, the ten games, highly unusual.
You're the only NFL team without that. Do you have
any more thoughts about why that is?

Speaker 2 (04:17):
With No, I have to go into all the runs
and stuff. I can't give you one reason, but that
involves everybody. So it's one of the reasons we're struggling though.
I mean, if you don't get big runs, you're never
gonna have those yards, You're never gonna have those stats.
And I think we've done a better job running the
ball here this last month, but we still haven't found
a big one, and that's what we need to get.

Speaker 9 (04:37):
I have to ask as Christians having I've been offensive
Player of the Year candidate, but I mean his age
and injuries. I mean, see any like any less explosive?
Is that possibly any part of that?

Speaker 1 (04:50):
No, I don't see it that way.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
What's the challenge like this week Arizona's defense?

Speaker 10 (04:55):
What are they looking like?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
I think they got a real good defense. I think
they've got a real good team. I mean I've been
in their situation before. I remember, I think they tied
a record or one that we had, or my first
year here as head coach, when we lost five games
by field gore or less in a row, I saw
that same thing happen to them. I think they're a
team that could be sitting here very easily with exact
same record as US.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
If not better.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
They've had some tough ones, and when you look at
the film, they look like a team that has a
winning record. The way their defense plays, they're very well coached.
The guys that they've added this offseason on the d
line helped them a ton. I think offensively they know
how to move the ball. I think Versa has been
playing very well this last month. I see a world
coach team who plays really hard and seems to be
in almost every game there in. I know last week

(05:37):
got away from them very early, but besides that, it
seems they've had a chance to win every game they
played in.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
Ryan Robinson Junior seems really confident right now. Would you
say he's earned more carries the.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Last few weeks, Yeah, I would.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
I think four weeks in a row he's had his
best game, so each tweek he keeps getting better.

Speaker 10 (05:52):
When Brock does come back, considering the tow as you said,
probably won't be one hundred again this season, do you
have to tell him to maybe limit the mobility or
stay out of situations where he could aggravate it or
how does.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
That convers No, that was the case.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
You want to come back, you know, I think when
you have to, if you got to tell a guy
to not be mobile and to stay out of situations,
is kind of hard to be successful. I mean, when
a guy gets out on that field, he's got to
react and play and if he doesn't, if he doesn't
feel that way, which I'll watch from practice and talking
to him, then then.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
He won't go.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Roy. I mean, Christian's ability to be flexed and playing
a lot, you're a reason why he and Robinson seemingly
almost never in the field at the same time.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
I mean, it depends on how the defense plays it.
I mean just them being on the same field. To
just think an advantage of when you have two running
backs and they go nick all the time, that to me,
that is a meaningless they have two running backs, I
mean you have three receivers because now they're going against
all corners instead of linebackers and safeties, which can give
you advantage to run if one of your running backs
wants to play fullback, So we could do that, but like,

(07:01):
that's just putting two runners out there because one is
good in the past game. You know, if they want
to stay based and stuff and play us like we
have a fullback in there, then that could be an
advantage because now he's out there having the advantage of
fullback being in the game, which means you're going against
the linebacker safety. So it really depends on how the
defense would play it, and they don't tend to play
us that way.

Speaker 7 (07:22):
And we could said the other day that sometimes after
when he thinks that the team feels maybe they're farther
along than they are, and Christian said, there's just something
about locking in after a loss. Do you feel that
that's natural and do you feel that everybody's pretty locked
in this?

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Yeah, I think our guys are pretty locked in every week.
I think I think, you know, human nature always like
it's something I've watched my whole career. You know, when
you when you watch teams lose and their backs are
against the wall, you see on film usually a more
desperate team the next week. That's something I've seen forever,
and that's something we talk about all the time, so

(07:55):
you know, players repeat that. But kb's been a long
round enough to know that happens. But something we're very
aware of and something that we don't feel that way
at all. I think our guys, I think we get
their best week in week out.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
Having success running three tight end formations this season. Kind
of the schematic issues is that present to a defense.
Do you feel like it's something your offense could do?

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
You know it's something that we do do at times.
We've done more in some games. I mean, as long
as you consider juice a tight end, you know which
they're used the same.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
I know the Rams put those numbers.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Up a lot these last couple of weeks, but I
think it all looks to how a defense playsia. I mean,
if you want to get them in certain personnel groupings
that can help. You got three guys on the field
who can handle edges better, which usually gives you more
space in the run game. But then you got to
see how one of those matches up versus corner.

Speaker 9 (08:43):
People like Richard Sherman and Tom Brady have advocated for
you to Sup with the hot handed Mac. You're obviously
not going to call their advice. But I mean, do
you think people might forget how good Broadcat has been.
I mean, just you know, it's like a Max playing
really well. Is there an element of just like, you know,
how how good Brock has been for you guys, you

(09:05):
know what he's been out?

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Yeah, I mean, I just that's the world.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
I mean, anytime a backup quarterback comes in and plays good,
I mean, that's all anyone talks about, you know, I don't.
I don't think anyone talks about what people have done
in the past, whether it's Brock or whether it's anybody.
I mean, that's just how the world works when with
media or anybody. So I don't look too much into
that stuff at all. We all know how good Brocks
played in the past, and I think he played really

(09:29):
good versus Seattle, and I think he struggled versus Jacksonville,
which is why we should have brought him back then.
And I know when Brock comes back, he'll he'll play
the same way he always has, like a very high
level quarterback.

Speaker 7 (09:41):
Ho wout both Brock and Ricky Ben through this whole process,
I know both that thought they were going to get
back on the field of faster than how it happened.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
You can ask them that.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
I think they feel like a typical guy who's made
of the right stuff, who guys hate being hurt and
they feel uncomfortable and they're hurt, and I mean, remember
when I was hurt and all your friends mess with
you like you're faking or something. You feel guilty all
the time. You want to be out there with all
your guys. So when when you're injured in sports, it sucks.
You want to be out there doing what you do,
and especially when you think it's going to be one

(10:13):
two weeks and ends up blasting a lot more than that.
So I know they've been frustrated.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
They make it.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
They're always showing how hard they're trying to come back,
and I just keep telling them, guys, were very well
aware of how bad you guys want to be out there,
but we got.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
To make sure you're right.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
And each week they've had they haven't been able to
get there.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
But hopefully this will be the week.

Speaker 6 (10:31):
And that Brock was ready to return week for but
he ultimately wasn't. You're confident that he's ready to return
now or getting there? What makes you confident that you're
right this time?

Speaker 1 (10:41):
I think the last six weeks.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
You know, That's why I've handled it this way, And
it has to do more with kind of what he
tells me and than what.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
I see, So it's going both. Thanks guys,
