Speaker 1 (00:00):
I see this debate all the time.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
You're no longer Mike here, Michael, until we get to
the bottom of this.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
Okay, going back, you said something that bothered me, you know.
Speaker 4 (00:08):
Ruffling feathers.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Scientifically we are we are not normal.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Absurd bould go to jail is extremely over I think
this is crazy.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
I just I don't have any words.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I thought you were better than this.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
There's many things that ruffle Mike Feathers.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Let's get ready, aroun.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Ladies and gentlemen, dirty birds of all ages. Welcome to
Ruffled Feathers, where we talk about the topics that get
under our skin. And joining me today are Brandon Dorless
and Ruke a row Row Falcons, defensive lineman and Brandon
you got the florma man all right.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
All right, So today we're gonna be arguing about should
restaurants have arcades and them?
Speaker 1 (00:55):
All right?
Speaker 4 (00:55):
Ruke over here believes that they shouldn't. I feel like
they should today, That's what we're talking about.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Absolutely not. I say absolutely not, because if I'm going
out to eat, right, I'm looking for a nice con vibe,
you know, dimn lights, not too loud, just like conversation environment,
like I don't want to hear like all the arcade
noise and you know, everybody's just running around like I'm
just there to eat and have a good time. So
I say absolutely not.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
See I'm saying yes because I'm thinking about the ones
who got kids out there, and I know how it
is being at dinner with a kid.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
It's tough. You know, kids are always acting how I
supposed to or he or she.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
So you know there might be a time where like
the kids might need ten minutes of you know, stimulation
and just good play a little game, you know, even
for ideas like you take it a little date, Let's
go to some hoops before we eat, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
So that's why I feel like it gives you a
different viiration. Like you can have some restaurants that don't
have an arcade, but like put some arcades in the restaurant,
make it fun.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Are you there to play or are you there to eat?
You know where you bringing the kids to? You bringing
the kid to come eat, But if you're bringing him
to play and eat. Mostly I was a kid once,
if you brought me to an arcade restaurant, I'm not eat.
I'm gonna go play. The games.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
But I bet after you got done playing, what you
get saying in the car I'm.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Hungry exactly exactly, So if we was already at the restaurant,
picture hot mad your mom would be if he said
I'm hungry after we was just at a restaurant.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
What But no, No, I feel like it's it's not
like that, bro, It's not it's what's the last name?
Was the ArKade.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Last year?
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Last year? Were you hungry after? Yes? Did you eat?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
In the ArKade?
Speaker 2 (02:39):
No.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
So when I have a restaurant in Arkae where you
get to stop after the games, they go get some food.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
But see, that's the thing though, it can have food.
Our kids do have food, but not restaurant type food.
They have like chips and salsa and like hot dogs
and like pizza and stuff like that. Not you feel me.
I want if I want to go get a nice steak.
I don't want to hear people see basketball while I'm
(03:05):
trying to eat the steak.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
If you won't do that, we gotta be a designer's
way to tell him, like put the ArKade somewhere where
they ain't no noise, you know, where it's not affecting
people who just come in to eat.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
I know, you walk in the restaurant.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
They got them sections where you can be like in
the back and just make more space with our kids.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
But so if you have your child with you, right,
you're just gonna let your child just roam free. Oh no,
you can't see him.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Oh no, I'm going with him.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
So how you gonna eat?
Speaker 1 (03:29):
I'm gonna wait till he's done. What I'm a parent, root,
I know.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
So you're gonna wait till he done, then go eat.
Y'all gonna be playing for two hours. You're not even
gonna be hungry.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
No, no, because this is we're gonna do. We're gonna
go outside.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
We'll sit down or our food and be like, you know,
this takes around like average ten to fifteen minutes, okay average. Okay, Now,
I say you're a restaurant that all these little bit behind,
it's gonna take twenty thirty minutes where you get your food.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
That's a that's a good couple. Shoot the hoops, you know,
little pool and anything like any game.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
But everybody doesn't have kids, right, So what if I
want to go into a nice peaceful dinner with the
fam and I just hear kids running around screaming everywhere.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Then don't go to the arcade with a restaurant.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
That's why restaurants shouldn't have arcades, said, shouldn't the whole Yeah,
it should be separate arcades sell food, so you can
eat and go to an arcade on its own. Why
do you have to bring the arcade to the restaurant?
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Say I want to go to with the child? M okay, okay,
all right, I don't want to go. All right, order
my food, go bust some button pool. I got a
cue with me with the child. He can't sit down,
Let's go running there. I don't want to cause the
distraction to everybody who's there to eat. That's why I
use the arcade as a distraction.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
From my kid.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Okay, that's a good one.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
But but.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
What about to people don't have kids. You're gonna bring
them to the environment where they just want to have
some night. What if some people, you know, mom and dad,
get away. They want to be away from the kids.
They want to go to a nice restaurant and enjoy
it peaceful by themselves, you know, have some adult time.
(05:21):
But they're not doing that. It's like they're leaving home
where the kids is at to go somewhere else where
some more kids is at. It's not their kids. So
I feel like that's even worse.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
It's not.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
It's not because at the tide of kids don't go
somewhere you think kids are gonna be.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
And I don't think people think kids are going to
be in a restaurants, not playing around.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
They got high seats in the restaurant for a reason
for kids. Okay, to.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
All right, before this becomes any more of an anti kids,
I'm gonna ask you each just one question before we
wrap up. What is the all time best arcade game
in a restaurant? Man Brandon will start.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
With you start think, all right, start arcade For.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Me, I would say, I would say the one. I
don't know what you call this game where they be scamming,
where you just keep putting money in and grab the
Teddy Bear claw. The claw. The claw would have people
there all day because Ala I was a victim.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
To the claw I got.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
I was using you got one. I was trying so
hard and I left as soon as I left.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
The kid got the toylet.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
This is why he hates arcade.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
The kid, This is why he hates.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
Our backs because the kid who took the toy my toy.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Way, what about you, Brandon?
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I like the Little Grassman.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Game, but I feel like when I go there, I
always playing like either air hockey, like air hockey or
like you know, the little racing games.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
We sit in the seat, and that's very like. That's
that's one of my top two.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
That's a tough one.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Awesome. I love those. Well, thank you guys so much
for joining us on today's episode of Ruffled Feathers. Now
