Speaker 1 (00:01):
I'm Clifton Brown. In my forty years as a sportswriter,
including nineteen years at the New York Times, I've had
conversations with legendary athletes like Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods,
and today's young stars like Lamar Jackson. But recently I've
had more candid conversations about race with athletes than ever before.
Now I want you to hear those conversations. On October sixth,

(00:24):
I'm launching a podcast called Black in the NFL, where
I'll examine sports and race from different angles. I'll talk
to players, coaches, executives, and NFL insiders, asking them to

come on different ships, but we're in the same boat. Now.

(00:44):
After listening to this podcast, maybe you'll understand why athletes
won't just shut up and play, or maybe you won't.
But I'm hoping you'll listen because I believe more understanding
leads to more unity. Subscribe to Black in the NFL,
produced by Blue Wire, starting in October sixth,
