the corrections need to be made, You come and watch

wash it, understand what happened, and kind of address it,

that whether you win or you lose, there's always gonna
be corrections, but when you lose, they kind of stick
out a little bit more. And so I think as

long as guys understand that will be okay. And I
think everybody in this building does a good job of
addressing stuff, and no one shies away from confrontation. Everybody's

there and understand that he's one of the top quarterbacks
in the league right now, especially one of the top

He's good on his legs, He's very smart, and he
understands what he needs to do to help his team win.
So sometime as we go out there and execute, we

I think the first three weeks he was he was
right there, he's causing havoc, but he just wasn't able
to get to that last finishing moment, and so it

wasn't surprised that he came up with four sacks, five TFLs,
ten tackles. I mean that the guys always run the
ball in practice, always in the meeting rooms, always doing
the right things, lifting hard, running hard. So when when
guys like that have success, you kind of just like,
all right, he deserves that because he's been working for that.
And you know, in this locker room, we always want
everybody next to us to succeed, and we're just really
happy that he was able to go out there and.

It's just unfortunately we're going to able to get that
win for him to to kind of capitalize a little

have more tackles than you do.

love to talk about these. On the other side, this Sunday,
you're gonna have Bobby Walkner, thirty five years old. He's
leading his team with like forty two tackled spur like
twenty more than the guy goes second. I mean he
has to be kind of you know, it's pretty cool
to play with a guy like this, even though he
plays on the other side, you know, for the other team.

I think Bobby is a very special talent. I mean,
he's a future Hall of Famer. Like you said, he's
thirty five, He's been in this league for a long time.
He's played on a lot of great defenses. He's a
general on the field for that team. And I think
his game just speaks volumes and be able to sustain
it for as long as he has is really impressive.
And I think he's just the way he attacks the
game every day. And I think I don't know him personally,
but from watching him on tape, I think he understands

the game at a really high level. He's very smart.
I believe he has an NBA if I'm not mistaken.
So he's a very smart individual off the field as well.
So just being able to play across from a guy
like that is going to be kind of cool to
see and just watch him attack the game the way
he does.

and so you kind of you kind of watch those
guys play. I think like Sean Marion went with the
lights out. Celebration was always a big thing as a kid.

Try to do a little bit here and there as
a kid, but you know, you're not really doing the
same thing that he's doing. But it's just cool to
see those guys around the building and at the game.

did as a kid.

you know it's gonna go by fast. And it's the
good old saying is if you're having fun with the
time is gonna fly. So you know, I'm just enjoying
every moment that I have and the days may be long,
the weeks may be long, with the months go by

fast and the year goes by faster. So as long
as you can go out here and just enjoy every
moment of it, build those relationships with the guys around you,
and just kind of just don't take anything for granted
and just play the game the right way. You're gonna
hopefully play this game for a long time.

about the relationships with your teammates and you've been from
Southern California and you know, and just in our discussions
with the guys that are coming into LA maybe year one,
they're just so impressed with how laid back and how

being from the Inland Empire. You got the best of
all worlds. You know what's happening in San Diego. You
could take it to the coastline, go to hunting and

Yeah, like you said, like, I'm from the Ie, so
it's kind of like I'm not a big I don't
know the lay of the land of La that will.
I kind of go to down Henley for that because
he's a La guy. He knows all the good restaurants,
like all the good localations to go to. Like I
live in Torrents, so I always go down to the
Torrents Beach and kind of hang out down the beach
by the beach down there. Just being from Ie, Like
you're not that close to the water, he said, like
closest beach to us, it's like Huntington. That's an hour

and some change drive on a good day with no traffic.
So I didn't go to the beach a lot when
I was a kid, but when I did, I was
there all day. So being able to just drive five
minutes at the beach and hang out there is always
a big thing for me. So that's kind of where
I spend my off days a lot of the time.
But you know, I'm more of an inside guy, like
I like just home cooked meals, staying inside and watch TV.
But if I do it is going to the beach,
hanging out on the beaches, being by the water, just

because like you kind of take it for granted, like
spending four years in Minnesota and not being able to
be around water, like like the ocean, or always being around.

we all kind of tightened down and we understand that
we have to fix up a little couple of things
here and there, and we kind of just move forward.
And we're all professionals at the end of the day.
We played ball at a high level. So you have
to be able to learn things on the fly and
be able to adjust things on the fly because this
is the National Football League and stuff changes fast.

I mean, I think it has something to do with
that little Jedi Brad He's got going on, right. The

Yeah, definitely, I think too is a very special individual.
I think he's he's a young talent that it gets
overlooked in this league. But I'm glad to have him
on our side. He said, he plays football the right way.
He plays hard every snap. The four sacks don't surprise anybody.
I think the first three weeks he was he was
right there, he's causing havoc, but he just wasn't able
to get to that last finishing moment, and so it

wasn't surprised that he came up with four sacks, five TFLs,
ten tackles. I mean that the guys always run the
ball in practice, always in the meeting rooms, always doing
the right things, lifting hard, running hard. So when when
guys like that have success, you kind of just like,
all right, he deserves that because he's been working for that.
And you know, in this locker room, we always want
everybody next to us to succeed, and we're just really
happy that he was able to go out there and.

Perform at a high level.

It's just unfortunately we're going to able to get that
win for him to to kind of capitalize a little
bit more.

Troy, if I'm right, I think you are third in
the team, right now in tackles with twenty four. You know,
just I believe that only Dirtwin and Dayan has they
have more tackles than you do.

On the other on the other side, this and I
love to talk about these. On the other side, this Sunday,
you're gonna have Bobby Walkner, thirty five years old. He's
leading his team with like forty two tackled spur like
twenty more than the guy goes second. I mean he
has to be kind of you know, it's pretty cool
to play with a guy like this, even though he
plays on the other side, you know, for the other team.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (24:15):
I think Bobby is a very special talent. I mean,
he's a future Hall of Famer. Like you said, he's
thirty five, He's been in this league for a long time.
He's played on a lot of great defenses. He's a
general on the field for that team. And I think
his game just speaks volumes and be able to sustain
it for as long as he has is really impressive.
And I think he's just the way he attacks the
game every day. And I think I don't know him personally,
but from watching him on tape, I think he understands
(24:36):
the game at a really high level. He's very smart.
I believe he has an NBA if I'm not mistaken.
So he's a very smart individual off the field as well.
So just being able to play across from a guy
like that is going to be kind of cool to
see and just watch him attack the game the way
he does.

But at the end of the day, you know, he's playing.

At a high level, and we always want the success
for everybody in the league, always want someone to perform well.
Just hopefully he doesn't perform that well against us.

you know, going back now, just have a little bit

going back to Corona Chargers days. What are your like
were you? I mean, you were a Charger fan growing
up then? Or was it just because of the Corona
Chargers effect you became a Charger fan? How did that
all work out? And if you did like the Chargers,

who were your favorite guys?

I mean growing up in southern California, the San Diego
Chargers were the main team when I was a kid,
and like you said, playing for the Corona Chargers, so
It's always kind of cool to watch those guys play
like you had like l T you know, Sean Merriman like, uh,
excuse me, Junior say, like all those cats were big names,
and so you kind of you kind of watch those
guys play. I think like Sean Marion went with the
lights out. Celebration was always a big thing as a kid.

Try to do a little bit here and there as
a kid, but you know, you're not really doing the
same thing that he's doing. But it's just cool to
see those guys around the building and at the game.
It's kind of cool just to be around that environment.
But yeah, it's definitely a blessing to be able to
play the both on my helmet the same way I
did as a kid.

I always tell the young guys in the locker room,

and then you your eyes and your six year and
you're just like, wow, where'd the time go? But you know,
as long as you're enjoying and having fun with it,
you know it's gonna go by fast. And it's the
good old saying is if you're having fun with the
time is gonna fly. So you know, I'm just enjoying
every moment that I have and the days may be long,
the weeks may be long, with the months go by

fast and the year goes by faster. So as long
as you can go out here and just enjoy every
moment of it, build those relationships with the guys around you,
and just kind of just don't take anything for granted
and just play the game the right way. You're gonna
hopefully play this game for a long time.

And Troy closing it out here just you know, talking
about the relationships with your teammates and you've been from
Southern California and you know, and just in our discussions
with the guys that are coming into LA maybe year one,
they're just so impressed with how laid back and how
awesome Southern California is. The location those skis to San Diego.
Do you kind of become the ambassador for these It's like,
you know, what, I know where to go because you

being from the Inland Empire. You got the best of
all worlds. You know what's happening in San Diego. You
could take it to the coastline, go to hunting and
go wherever you want. Where do you take your guys?
Is there a couple of go to spots that you
kind of you know, showed the ways of the forest
to your teammates.

Yeah, like you said, like, I'm from the Ie, so
it's kind of like I'm not a big I don't
know the lay of the land of La that will.
I kind of go to down Henley for that because
he's a La guy. He knows all the good restaurants,
like all the good localations to go to. Like I
live in Torrents, so I always go down to the
Torrents Beach and kind of hang out down the beach
by the beach down there. Just being from Ie, Like
you're not that close to the water, he said, like
closest beach to us, it's like Huntington. That's an hour
(27:42):
and some change drive on a good day with no traffic.
So I didn't go to the beach a lot when
I was a kid, but when I did, I was
there all day. So being able to just drive five
minutes at the beach and hang out there is always
a big thing for me. So that's kind of where
I spend my off days a lot of the time.
But you know, I'm more of an inside guy, like
I like just home cooked meals, staying inside and watch TV.
But if I do it is going to the beach,
hanging out on the beaches, being by the water, just

because like you kind of take it for granted, like
spending four years in Minnesota and not being able to
be around water, like like the ocean, or always being around.

Snow and all that kind of stuff.

You kind of you kind of take that son for
granted being from southern California because every day is sunny
days and seventy five or ninety degrees for a naive,
but you know, it's always beautiful out.

Here, and you kind of just like, oh you get
one rain dance, like oh, the world's falling, but like
you know, like.
Speaker 5 (28:28):
The channels, drive's going scars exactly, bubble coats on.

Back and it was during the quote unquote winter time
out here, and it was like seventy five people like.

base just keeps growing. How you guys see every game
you play away too, you know, you have those fans

I think the fan base has grown a lot, and
I think it has to do a lot to do

you can really feel the difference, especially when you're otre

the fans care a lot and ray a little go
out there and put a good brand of football on
