Speaker 1 (00:08):

in Barrie, Ohio. This is Cleveland Brown's Daily, presented by
bally bet An, official sports betting partner of Your Cleveland
Brown's on eight fifty ESD and Cleveland. You are your hosts,
Bo Bishop and Nathan Zegura.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
All right, good afternoon, and welcome into a very special
edition of Cleveland Brown's Daily. Nathan's the girl. Very happy
to be back alongside the great Gibbe. Jason Gibbs.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I am tired of co hosting. I like being on
the other side of the glass.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Why you're so good, Eh, everybody likes hearing from you.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Fine, that's great in small doses, but I am happy
as hell to have you back.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Thanks man, I'm happy to be back. Clean Brown Dailor's
n by bally Bete, official sports betting partner of Your
Cleveland Brown. So we're gonna do kind of just a special,
kind of one hour show here today because the heat
has apparently set the town on fire.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yes literally literally figuratively.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
And nobody right, there's no power downtown and so in
certain parts, certain parts of downtown, no power at all.
So this is what we're gonna be able to bring
you here today. I know it's been going out with
you guys, but I've had a newborn who's now fifteen
days old.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
How's that going for you?

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Little Luca? He's been great. How's our sleeping going? Got
this from the Browns Day, which is awesome. I'm pretty
pumped about this. A game ball for his first game
ball for Luka Dragamir June ninth, twenty twenty five, eight pounds,
seven ounces, twenty one and a half inches. He uh,
he's been amazing. Honestly, he's a very chill baby, like
good eater, loves to eat.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
We've already like shock her.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
He went up by the end of like within ten days.
Started was eating four ounces of feeding, which is normally
like a month. And the Future's like, look, he's wan sitting,
he's not thrown up. Give it to him. So we're
doing that now. He's almost like at four and a
half ounces. He he's sleeping. Well. I think like we're
trying to figure out what the exact sweet spot is,

(02:07):
you know, is it ten to one to four to seven?
Is it trying to get to eleven and stretch that
to like maybe two thirty to like then to like six,
because sometimes he can go three and a half. Sometimes
he goes four, sometimes he goes three. But he's been
he's been a good sleeper. I mean when he gets
to the point that he's going five and then everybody
gets a night off, you know, every other night, because
if he could go like ten to three and three

(02:27):
to eight, that would be or nine to two and
two to seven.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Because the first day or two, like first I was
not bother bothering you, so I didn't know. First day
he had talked to you a few times.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
First day was tough because as I told you, guys,
you know, he just wasn't getting enough food and so
we got him on, had to augment or supplement with
some formula. And once he got that. No, he's been.
He's been a machine, little Luca. But he's so cute.
He smiles a lot. He's, like I said, generally speaking,
pretty happy. He's like grown so much in two weeks.
You can see he kind of like now he knows,

(02:59):
he looks around and kind of see what's going on.
He's trying to like grab things, and he's been it's
it's unreal and getting to do this again, you know,
fifteen years after my youngest I was seventeen and fifteen.
Is cool because I don't sweat kind of like the
crying as much. Sure, I know that that's just how
he communicates. And he doesn't cry very much, to be honest,

(03:19):
which is wonderful. And uh, you know, it's just cool.
You just cherish because he's not going to be like
this for long. Correct, But he's sweet. He's a sweet boy.
It's really really fun, really really fun.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
How is it to watch Miss k because it's.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Ah, she's she's what is she's doing great, which is
she is obviously waiting her whole life for this. She's
doing great recover from the C section. She's ahead a
schedule with that, she's been, she's amazing, and this is
what she's would do. It's just it's so cool. It's
crazy to me that it's been two weeks, Like it
feels like that went by like this, But at the

(03:58):
same time, it feels like he's been with us forever.
I'm sure you like with your grand your grandson was Pittsburgh,
pe Pa. You feel that way too, I should say
Cleveland people. Yeah, it's just been it's been wild, dude.
It's like it's cool to go through it kind of
with this mindset of like just trying to enjoy it
as much as possible. It's been great. And then last

(04:19):
night we got a gift. The official Nana was like,
I'm in a night nurse for you guys, and so
you can get a full night sleep. So I got
like a full night sleep lesson, I feel great. I
couldn't feel better.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Wow, Yeah, what like night nurse like stay in the room.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yes, So she stayed upstairs. We got him in his
in his room. He had been kind of in our
room for the first you know, until last night. But
I think he'll be good. He just is like he's asleep,
but he's like baby, they make a lot of noise, crosses,
he's moving around.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
So I'm like, so I think he'll be up there now.
But yes, So my mom stayed upstairs, and uh, I
thought she was going to be like not stop, not
worried about Nana, but just like a baby's not in
the room. So yeah, No, she slept, She slept well,
and it was great. It was awesome.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
The grandparents have to be over the moon. Yeah both yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, everybody's loving them. And you know what, the most
special part has been honestly seeing Arden and Bryce with him,
like he loves them, like he just knows, he just
knows those are simply it's crazy, and he loves them.
Arden is like if he's fussing it all, as soon
as she picks him up, he's like he's good. Yeah,
and then Bryce and Bryce loves him. That's been really

(05:33):
really cool. They've come over. It was really lucky we
were able to have them for a week and then
they come over like every day just to like hang
out with them, even for like you know, an hour
or whatever. So it's been it's been awesome, dude, it's
been awesome. I'm glad to be back. My wife's been incredible.
I've gotten even got the play golf a couple of
times in the in the two weeks, which was.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Incredible. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Yes, she's amazing, she's a saint. So it's been it's
been great. Happy to be bad obviously, you know, not
much going on for a month.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
We got a few days and then we're off again.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
But then we'll get there. H Yeah, we get my
birthday coming up.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Yeah, absolutely, I'm currently as long as we don't have
to preempt any more shows where we've got to figure
out stuff on the fly. It'll allow me time to
finish taping everything, the rest of these things. But I
think starting Thursday the third, we will be off until
the fourteenth, I believe, of July.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Which is sounds like a very very nice thing. And
then I think, what it's like rookies report on like
the nineteenth.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Yeah, and then what thought went through your mind when
you saw that report date? Wow, I can tell you
what went through mine.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I can.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
I'm not allowed to say.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
It felt like it's early. It felt it felt very quickly,
very quickly. But that's you know, then we're back into it.
Then we're getting into the mix. Then we're into the mix,
which is going to be fun.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
I mean, that's it's funny, becase because we've talked about
you know, we're constantly going, all right, well, what are
we going to talk about in the two or three
weeks when we get back, Well, it's go time. It's
officially go time. When we get back. Yep, Like within
ten days of being back, we'll be in training camp. Yeah,

(07:18):
I did not see that coming.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Now.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Schedule no, very quickly, and then we've got our preseason
games and then we're in the mix. Then we're right
into it to full steam ahead to what September seventh,
I think is the day the Bengals, I believe. So yeah,
we're seventy I think seventy five days from like game one,
that's not that far away. They put up Joel Botonio
today on the Browns X handle, So yeah, we're getting

(07:42):
ready to roll. Dude.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
How have you been?

Speaker 2 (07:43):
What's been going on?

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Dude? Things have? Things have been good? We had a
long weekend last weekend. Bishop's on assignment. I'm assuming his
flight to Montana went well.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
I know he's in a quarter lane right now, so
I know that he's there, at least there in Idaho
having a great time. I think that a great time
in Annapolis. Saw some of the stuff from down there.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
So good, good, Yeah. I So we had a nice
long weekend. My one of my best friends from high
school called and about a week ago was like, hey,
got a little golf trip of the buddies up to
Niagara Falls next weekend. I got an extra spot because
someone didn't get their passport in time. What are you doing?
God bless my wife. She's a great human. She's like go.

(08:23):
I left Thursday morning. We played ninety holes in three.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Days and uh ninety holes.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Ninety holes, baby, that's right, Jesus wise, So that's what
my body hated me.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Twenty seven, twenty seven, twenty seven, and nine and one
day thirty six, twenty seven, twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
So we went thirty six, thirty six.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Seventy two and then eighteen eighteen. Wow.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Yeah, five different courses. We played John Daly's track up
there that he designed.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Was it awesome?

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Yes? It was a little overgrown and a little messy,
just like him. Yeah, but it was extraordinarily height The
greens were almost impossible, like you could not bomb away
like you.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
I feel like a John Daily course should be like
seventy five hundred yards. Was the exact op I like
the one that they built for him at Nemicole.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Yeah, that was the classic Yeah, of course, Yeah, that's
what I thought I was getting. I was not getting that.
And it was like the last eighteen that we played, Yeah,
and no one was in any shape at that point
like there had been.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
That's a lot.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
There's been a lot of cocktailing. There's a lot of golf. Yeah,
I love golf.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
That's a lot of golf.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Yeah, we Luckily we went scramble for that one because
we were we were like, well, maybe should play on
balls day and then we saw the course. We're like, no,
this is not this is not going to end well.
But it was a great week, had a great time.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Right, So you guys are on the Canadian side, Yes,
the better side for sure. If you're going to go
up to the Niagara Falls, go to the Canadian side.
It's just there's a lot more to do, a lot
more good restaurants, wineries.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Yep. Never made it to the wineries. Didn't have to know.
There was a lot of cocktailing going on. Breakfast was
what the peanut butter and jellies, uncrustables, an uncrustable and
a cocktail.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
That was my break That's a good way. It's a
good way to get going.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
I texted you and you're like, I've been gone all weekend.
I was like, all right, Gibo's having a good time.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
I did. I did Sunday paid for it. The drive
home was excruciating. I was like, just get me, how
far is it? Three hours and fifteen. But there were
some things going on in the world, and the border
security was a lot tighter on Sunday morning, So waiting there,
baking in the sun, trying to get back in. Yeah,

(10:37):
it was a little bit of a challenge, but that's
all right. That's what you know.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
That's what you pay for there, that is what you
pay for.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
But it was great. But like you know, Mini camp
made it through that it was good. I watched, I
watched it all.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Yeah, it was good.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
We'll get to some of that, but you know, everybody, Uh,
we've made it through, and now now we wait for
what comes next.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Yes, and it feels like we're awaiting, obviously for It's
going to be a while, but we're gonna get through.
We're gonna set the table for you this summer for
the for the Cleveland Browns, who, by the way, I
don't know if you guys have discussed this already, but
like Madden thinks, the Browns are pretty solid and the Beta,
the Browns had an eighty seven overall.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Really yeah, what did that just come out?

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Came out a couple of days ago, I miss mad
in team Beta ratings.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
I mean, defensively, we know what we are, all right,
So here are the early way we have pieces. We
might have a few questions.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
These are team overalls for Madden twenty six. Right now
in the early the team overalls coming in last, the
Giants seventy five, then the Cardinals seventy six. This one's
nuts to me. The Washington Commanders are seventy eight overall.
What they're third worst in the league. Then they go,

(11:56):
we're in the NFC championship game in Yeah, with Jane Daniels. Yeah,
they got a lot of players anyway. Carolina seventy nine overall,
Denver seventy nine overall, New England eighty, Tennessee eighty, Seattle eighty.
The eighty ones are the Raiders, the Bears, and the Packers.
The Colts, Jags, Chargers, Rams are all eighty two's. The

(12:20):
Saints are in eighty three.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Why wait what quarterback?

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Saints are in eighty three. Houston is in eighty three,
Minnesota is in eighty three. The eighty fours are Atlanta
and Tampa eighty five, Buffalo eighty six, Steelers, Jets and
Eagles the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles eighty six, eighty seven,
Browns and Bengals eighty eight's, Lions and Cowboys eighty nine,

(12:47):
Dolphins ninety one, Ravens ninety two Niners, ninety two Chiefs.
This is what everybody's I mean.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
This is it doesn't any sense at all.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
It's the beta. I don't know, it's maybe it doesn't
make any sense at all. Why but we I mean,
we have some very highly rated players on our team,
for sure.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Well, we're going to get to Pete Prisco's Top one
hundred today and I'm looking forward to seeing how many
you can name out of those top.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
One hundred from our team.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
That made the top one hundred. We'll do that. We're
coming up.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Okay, we'll do that, coming up. But we have an hour, Yeah,
we do well anymore now we only have forty five minutes.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
We can kind of go whenever we want.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Yeah, but I thought I saw that and I was
like shocked. I'm like, okay, all right. You know I've
been able to I've been kind of like in my
bubble and gotten to read a lot of things. And
I do think one thing I feel very confident about
is like, I think it would be foolish to say
right now that the Browns are like a favorite to
win the division or are in danger of going on.

(13:49):
I think you can you never know anything happened. Team
can get hot, but like that feels like a very
small percent chance. But I think we're going to be
a lot better than the average. National consensus is that
we are.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Going to be Florida. Was it Florio's power rankings yesterday,
post mini camp and everything, Yeah, and everybody's camp and
off season. He's got us thirty two come on last week. Yeah,
he's got to. We're not thirty two were.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
I think we're gonna be able to. We got an
elite a very good number one wide receiver, We've got
a great tight end. We still have a solid offensive
line at least top half of the NFL offensive line
for sure, if not better than that. I think the
young running backs are going to be very good. We
don't at this point have an elite quarterback or know that.
We don't know who quarterback. We don't know who it's
going to be. But I think we will have a

(14:37):
very good defensive line, and I think we have a
very good secondary, and I think our linebackers are going
to be sold. I was going to miss j Okay.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
That's a big But I don't know we're going to
take the step back that everybody thinks I think is
going to better the linebacker in that linebacker room, but
can make up for his.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Absence well, and that's why they drafted I think that,
you know, even though he doesn't necessarily play the same position.
I do think you're gonna see Swessenger used in a
lot of those ways to to you know, see how
that goes, See how that goes. By the way, obviously,
it's Tuesday, and I'm sure you talked about it yesterday.
But I didn't get a chance to NBA Finals. What
a just absolutely disappointing Game seven.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
It's the only game I watched in its entirety. So
watch more than like a quarter of every of any
of the games, I had no interest.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
I enjoyed watching them. I did, Oh, there goes the
golden shovels.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Where are those going?

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I'll bring one in here.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
I believe you used one.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Got the photo. I just got the photo. I don't
think that was my mind. When we do the big one,
I want one. That's what I've put a lobby put
you're about to put in ye yeah, for sure, no
doubt so. Anyway, so I've enjoyed this Pacers run. I've
enjoyed them as a team. Can't say I watched a
ton of thunder basketball during the regular season. I know

(15:57):
they have the m v P S g A, and
they're they're very good team.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Like the going to be a good team for a while.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Yeah, and their defense is suffocating.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Yeah, they have a ton of draft picks coming up.
I can't remember how many first round picks.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
Paul George straits in the drafts this year. They have
two first rounds in a second round.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
Yeah, and they've got like multiple first rounders over the
coming years as well, so they can replace guys if
they hit on them. Yeah, they're they're in a fantastic
position to continue that round I did. I was Trotter
is going to kill me, but I was rooting for
the Pacers. I wanted to see the Pacer. I'm happy
for Jake, I'm happy for sure, but like you know,

(16:35):
the Pacer. I was like, well, they beat us, so
if they if we lost to the champion, great, I
feel a little better about this.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
I was rooting for them too, because I just I
like they're very scrappy. I've obviously watched way more of
them than I watched of the others. It is just
so crazy that in you know, it happens to Tatum,
the Lillard and Haliburn. They all wear zero all in

(17:03):
this playoffs. You know, the calf strain obviously is not
something it seems like you would want to play with
any more going forward. You know, how could you risk it?
So that's very interesting. But watching you know what it was,
it almost was the exact same move in the exact
same manner as Deshawn's.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Yeah, is that what you said?

Speaker 2 (17:26):
When I watch, I go, that looks like Dashawn's taking
that and he's gonna go run on that snap Like
it was. The exact footwork was almost identical. I don't
know if the fewt were reversed, but it looked exactly
the same to me, and I just you knew immediately,
couldn't believe it, And I was just so bummed for
him and bummed for them like that just they gave

(17:49):
it a good fight, but they just didn't have enough
without him. And is he like a mega megastar?

Speaker 6 (17:55):
No?

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Is he one of the most clutch guys I've seen? Absolutely?
Is he a star for sure? All star all of that.
And when you lose that guy, you know, he's he's
the one on the team. And I'd say, seacams like
the one A that's a big It's just unfortunate, especially
and you feel bad for the human being who did
so many amazing things in this playoff run, historic things.

(18:18):
Worked his whole life, dreaming of playing in a Game seven.
Anybody who was the anthy always oh you know, yeah,
kid in your sherer eyes Game seven and no one's
take him, get to play.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
No one's taken bigger advantage of the bigger moments than
Alaburt And like time after time in these playoffs.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Agreed, And it was just painful to watch, absolutely painful
to watch. It's stunk and handy. What did he make?
Like his first he made three threes before he got hurt? Right,
he was like playing, Wow.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Pretty well nine points in six minutes.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Yeah he was. He's doing just fine, He's doing what
he had. Okay, I'm coming out here is my first
Game seven. I'm on fire. This is awesome. Just that
was brutal to watch. I also on Sunday watched Kegan
Bradley with the comeback. I just felt so bad for
Tommy Fleetwood. I mean as just to watch somebody collapse,
like did you see the video now where like he

(19:09):
couldn't even watch Keegan's putt. Yeah, oh that's painful. We
never talked to us open. That's painful. Oh, we'll we talk, Okay,
we'll talk to us open. And then I watched the
Colleague because it's at Firestone and Miguel on Hell jim
Andez was in contention. It was him and one other
guy whose name unfortunately I don't remember, but they were playing.

(19:30):
They're both playing well. The guy Bertie's sixteen to go
two up with two to go over Miguel on Hell Jimenez,
and that's the par five.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Mcglon Helman was eight under through seventy holes, goes Bertie
on seventeen, Bertie's eighteen. The other guy went parpar up
to with two to play Bertie seventeen and eighteen to
force a playoff, and like he had to make like
a fifteen footer, drained it first hole the playoff, he's in,
Miguel on Hell's on the green and like fifteen feet again,

(20:00):
the other guy's way short of the green. He chips
it to like I don't know, just inside I think
of Miguel on hel Jimenez who missed, and then he
makes so they play again, and then Miguel on hel
Jimenez Birdie's eighteen again. So he was three under in
his last four holes with a tournament on the line,
after being eight under and seventy ols just so clutch,

(20:21):
and then he's done. He's doing all this celebration at
the stove. That guy is unreal. Yes, sixty one years
of age. The mechanic Firestone looked great on TV, and
it was cool cause I've gotten to play a few
times through via with Cornerstone of Hope, and it was
cool to.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Like see it should host a PGA tour.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
And I had the years past when I had played it.
We played there on uh the week of the Monday. No,
it would have been yesterday. I would have played yesterday
the day so they keep those Sunday pins. I was like,
I know all those pins. I knew that putt. I'm like,
I know that putt. I knew what that putt was
going to do on eighteen.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
It was great.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Yeah, very very cool, very very cool US Open. One
of the classiest finishes I've ever seen. To make that
putt on eighteen is just in the rain, insane when
you're trying to two put That's other things like when
you know you're trying to two putt, sometimes it's hard
to two put it's not as easy.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
No, no, that could be.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
It could be a little bit tough.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Then you then you then your gator arment and I
had that happened plenty of times this weekend.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
And he not only did he not two putt, he
he made it. It was unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Yeah, but again just not having the names at the top,
you know, yet you had a few for sure. It
was I caught it. I watched some of it. I
didn't I wasn't as totally as engrossed as I normally am. Yeah. Well,
the fact that that course, that all the all that
they've done to that course, it's you know, I get it.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
You know. It was cool. And I was listening to
Paul aising Or we were watching watching both of the
tournaments this weekend. Both of them have trees still. Yeah,
and like you have to hit some cool shots because
of trees, like you, I don't think every tree is gone.
I don't like that. I know that's a big thing.
In an Oakmont there were you know, there are no
trees anymore. That rough was crazy. It was It was

(22:16):
cool to see it was. It was fun to watch,
but the weather wasn't great and it also wasn't really
what you to your point. It wasn't like the stars.
It wasn't as exciting as as maybe you'd want downstretch.
But good for that guy, that guy JJ spah I
was looking up like, won like six thousand bucks on

(22:37):
the Canadian Tour his first year there.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Yeah, like the thing that.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
He's now a US Open champion is incredible. Oh my goodness,
changes his life forever. It's awesome. And then you've got
the fanatics fest with a bunch of fun stuff going
on over the weekend. You got Kevin Durant finding out
that he got traded to the Rockets like.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Always a stage. We talked about that yesterday. Ceciliano was saying,
you know, Taylor Rooks I think was the one m
seeing it.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Uh huh.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
And you know you got to keep going because he's
been paid to be there, Like, you can't just stop
and you've got to just are you going with the
I'm just assuming that it's this is true, yeah, because
everybody's yelling at it. So it Uh, it was fascinating.

(23:23):
It was fascinating to and she handled it very very well.
But it crazy. That guy's just a malcontent. Yeah, like
every other year he's got to be traded now twenty
six points a game, you know, but I said it,
he's played. He played sixty two games. He did play
seventy three I think the season before, but before that

(23:47):
he hadn't played more than fifty five in like five years. Yeah, like,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Supposedly the calves are interesting juice worth worth the squeeze
at this point. I mean they they didn't make the playoffs, right,
I don't.

Speaker 5 (24:04):
The Suns did not make the playoffs last year.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Yeah, with Duran Durant, Booker Beal.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Still have that center, the guy who used to be there, No,
DeAndre Ayton. Yeah, where's he?

Speaker 5 (24:18):
He's in Portland now.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
That's crazy though, not make the playoffs. Yeah, yeah, that's
that's wild.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
So yeah, that's it. That's what's been going on.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Yeah, and quite frankly, it's been uh, it's been a lot.
And then we got one other little bit of news
that came from the McAfee show today. Aaron Rodgers told
Pat McAfee that he's pretty sure this is it the
last season of his NFL career. Rogers said it is
why he signed a one year deal in Pittsburgh. Now,
I hope that it's true that it is, you know,

(24:54):
the last, because that's been kind of thing like, is
he I'm going to be done? I'm not done. I'm
not done. I'm done. B I think it's cool to
see if he just is this is it here? It is,
He's He's still one of the greats. I don't love
that he's a Steeler and he's one of the greats
of all time.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Crews up them me too, and I.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Think that that's a that is a for sure in
play outcome. But he is, you know, he is, He's
gonna be a Hall of Famer. And I do think
it's cool to you know, know that it's his, If
it is his last Sie and this is swan song,
I think it's cool to know that and see how
it all it all plays at sure.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Absolutely. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:36):

a little mini camp for that though, I gotta tell you, so,

(32:18):
you know, I'd had like that. I don't know if
it was I don't know what it was, cold, allergies whatever.
It was like a month.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
So then they gave me like the amoxicillin, like the
big dog, and that knocked it out. But that stuff
is tough.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
That is tough on the being on the stomach. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
I started having to take some probiotics and some yogurts
and all that. Yet it was it was tough, but
it got that out. And I like this lingering thing
like where if I breathe deep, it feels like a
little tight butt. Other than that, I feel I feel fine.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Dude, it it is going around.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
I think my one brother in law and then like
another one of the people like in in their business
that they all own. Yeah, like they've been sick for
six weeks.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Yeah, it's base, I mean, and.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Keep going back and they're like they were to take
a bunch of blood. We're gonna see what happens.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
I called my doctor's office and they were kind of like, yeah,
everybody's saying this.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
I'm like, well, is it?

Speaker 3 (33:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (33:17):
I don't have an answer. I know that's good. Anyway,
all right, let's talk a little bit of mini camp.
What you know, what did you see from the quarterbacks?
And I'll tell you what I saw. I wasn't there live, obviously,
I was able to watch via via the tape.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
I did think it was interesting over the stretch, over
the three days how they divided up wraps. It was
fascinating to see, especially like the final day, Shador really
didn't get on the field till the end yep. And
then we didn't see Flacco on day one, but we
saw Flacco on day two, but not a ton of

(33:54):
Joe Flacco YEP. I thought the rookie QBS had some
good moments. I thought they had some bad moments, some
moments they'd like to have back. That's what happens when
you're a rookie and all of a sudden, you're not
going against rookies, the vets are all back. You're going
against some pretty incredible competition. Until you get the speed

(34:14):
of the game right and you get up to speed,
you're going to have those issues. I think Kenny Pickett
wanted something, maybe some throws back.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
I think the way that I interpreted is it looks
to me like they're setting up Picket. They know what
they've got in Flacco. That's why I think his reps
are down. I think that Picket and Gabriel are the
two that they want to get the most work. For Shoudoor,
I think is I think his earning more work he is.
The ball hit the ground far less when he was

(34:47):
throwing it than anybody else. Now, he did not play
against the same defenses that Gabriel and Pickett played against,
which is true, but his accuracy is very, very good.
So we'll see if anything changes when they come back.
But it feels like from watching it and just watching
the way people were used and what it was, is
that you know, I think that Picket and Gabriel were
the guys that they wanted to get the best work

(35:07):
and try to get ready.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
And it's like going back to the so the Browns
this year, if they go off and have a great
year and the divisions they play don't have great years,
it's well the divisions. Maybe maybe maybe it's the luck
of the draw. Sure, like Shador isn't determining who he's
playing against on the field. All he had. All he
can do is make the most of his reps. Okay,
clearly he made the most of his reps and we'll

(35:30):
see if that translates to training camp and if he
gets more work or if you know, we're still working
through some things and figuring stuff out. But yeah, I
agree with you. It seems to be Gabriel and Picket
and you know, again, you know what you have in Flacco.
But Flaco said it. You know, I thought it was
interesting Flacco commenting when he talked to the media after

(35:53):
Day one, saying I could use I can use some
work we I did get in the same frame of
mind is my receivers. Yeah, I wonder that if we
need to go get another wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Well, Deontay Johnson, I thought looked pretty good. So if
Deontay Johnson is that and is the guy that you
know he has been and shown that he can be,
certainly in the past when he was a Pro Bowl
receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was the leading receiver
last year, you know, for Carolina before that kind of

(36:29):
went down, and he doesn't want to talk about what
happened in the past. But if he can be that
guy and you have Judy, you have him, and you
have Cedric Tillman, you know that. I like that. I
like that true. I think we're gonna p I think
Caryl Fannon's gonna play just He's one guy that when
you watch Minnie Camp or you watch the tape, jumps
out to me that he's going to be very very
good as kind of our second tight end and really

(36:51):
kind of I think he can be even a big
slot receiver in even though he comes out it looks
like twelve person and now I think you can line
him up as a big slot and I think he's
going to be very very good. Like I like that
guy a lot.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
Was there any concern, I mean, we didn't see Tilman
in the final week of OTAs during the one day
of availability, and then we didn't see Tilman on the
field till Thursday of mandatory mini camp. YEP.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
Now, of course there was concern come on after the
concussion last year, So yeah, there is worried about our guy. Yeah,
I listen, you're talking to me, do I can we
get more weapons? Of course? Now what does that look like?
Are you talking about a veteran like Amari bringing back
Amari Cooper who remains unsigned, which is shocking to me.
I just think kind of what happened with him last
year going to Buffalo where everybody thought it was going

(37:36):
to be something and then it wasn't. I think maybe
has scared some people. I certainly would welcome him back here.
I thought he was great while he was here. Yeah,
if Deontay Johnson to me, is big part of it.
And then the other guy that they really really like
and who was Steve Smith's favorite receiver in the draft
is Jamari Thrash And he got a lot of work
and I thought he made some place.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
He put on some weight and it has not impacted
his speed, which is he is a bulkier wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
Yeah, I stood out to me right away on the field,
I'm like, wait, I had to double check my my roster.
I'm like, did he change a number? Is that a
new now? He looks, No, that's him. He looked great. Yeah, yeah,
I there. Maybe there's something there this year. That's what
I'm hoping he takes that next step forward. So, uh,

(38:24):
is there a position group that stood out to you?

Speaker 2 (38:26):
The running backs? I think I think we're going to
really be able to run the ball. I think Judkins
Quinn Shawn looks excellent, and I think Dylan Samson looks excellent.
I like the idea of both of them being out there.
We know what Jerome Ford can do as well. So yes,
that that room, to me is very exciting. I think
that is going to be an excellent room for the

(38:47):
Cleveland Browns. Now again, it's so hard. These are really
kind of passing camps. Yes, in a sense, you know,
so if you say from the passing camp sense of it,
I really liked the tight ends, you know, he gets
nice to see David out there. But I'm telling you, I
really think that they've got something in in fan and
I think Fannin is a very I think he's gonna
be really really good, I really do. But the running backs,

(39:09):
I think that's gonna be We're gonna lean on that.
I think that's gonna be a bread and butter part
of this. I think Dwan Jones looks fantastic.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
Yeah, there were there were a couple of moments. But
you're going against Miles Garrett.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
Yeah, you're under saying his body looks good, in great shape. Yeah,
he has dedicated himself, He's put in the work to
get into great shape.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
So yes, but I think there's a little bit of
a learning curve, you know, obviously switching to left tackle
and it's gonna take a little bit. He's gonna need
some reps. Yes, he's gonna need some you know reps,
and he's got to stay healthy.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
So but that's one to watch him training camp. I
will also say this, if you are coming to training
camp at the Cross Country Mortgage Campus. I know there
aren't a whole lot of public practices because of the
construction and the fact we're out of town a lot,
but there are opportunities to come and watch this team,
and they'll be announced soon. They have not been announced yet,
but they will be soon. If you get the chance.

(40:00):
When you're there early and the position groups are going
through their individual work. Go find the running back position,
Douce Daley like, they give the old man the business
and he gives it right back to the young uns. Yep.
It's pretty awesome to watch, and it's there is no

(40:21):
holds barred. Maybe a little ear muffs for the children,
but it's awesome to watch that group go. That's my agreed.
Is a musty group when they're out there.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Agreed. It's a fun room. Fun, yes, and there's some
talent in there. And I think the dbs are a
lot of fun too. I think our our dB room
with Lynch and Bonda, those are those are fun rooms
as well. Position group that needs the most work, I mean,
to me, it's the answer is our defensive line looks awesome,

(40:53):
it's hard, but no pads are on. It's very hard
to know what's going on. So to me, the group
that needs the most works, it's going to be quarterback
until it's not, you know, because we need to figure
out a number one who is the starting quarterback and
we got to get that guy ready to play. So
that's gonna be a big part of it. To me,
that is that's that's the whole lynchpin to the whole
season is what do we get out of this quarterback room?

Speaker 3 (41:14):
So that was some of the conversation Andrew and Bowhead
while you were gone, was you know, Wendy, do you
take that group of four and cut it down to
two and then cut you know, have that like after
the first preseason game, it's got to be down to.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Two in terms of who could start Week one.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
I don't think you can continue. I think four here
for the entire preseason.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
No, no, no, no, And I think you have I
think in the preseason games are going to be this year.
I think preseason is gonna be so funcu. I think
you're gonna get a ton of Dylan and a ton
of shador I really do, which is gonna be great
to see how they operate in those situations. Yeah, you've
got to whittle that down. I think they will. I
think eventually they're gonna whittle it down. And and and

(41:59):
you can kind of maybe even see some of that whittling.
I would be totally fine. I love Joe Flacco. It
just feels like they want to see if Kenny Pickett
can do it. And then obviously we know how much
they like Dylan Gabriel. I think that, you know, Shadoor
is doing all the right things, working hard. Obviously he's
got to make sure he stays out of the news
for the wrong reasons. But I love the way that

(42:23):
he and how much he has apparently accelerated his learning
because he did have a lot of learning to do
just based on what he was asked to do in college,
which was different than some of the things that you know,
Dylan was asked to do. And then certainly Kenny's been
in the league, and Joe Flacco is a veteran, but
I think that at some point he's going to get
his opportunity. I think right now, though you're looking at
I still think I've said along. I still think that,

(42:44):
you know, Kenny Pickett is going to be the guy
week one. We'll just see what it ultimately ends up happening. Yeah,
but yeah, that's gonna be kind of the story of
mini camp because I know we're gonna be able to
run the ball. I know we're gonna be able to
play very good defense, maybe even a great defense again,
because I like the additions Eliite Collins, Mason Graham, you know,
tryon Shoyinka, you know, and he got Miles get my

(43:07):
hall back, like our front is going to be able
to get after the quarterback. Yeah, in a major way.
I mean, that's going to be fun.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
You got seven maybe eight defensive ends. You go at
least too deep on the defensive tackle part. And I
just saw my call in the building the other day,
so and we didn't see him out there, but he
seems to be recovering quite nicely, and I would think
he's on pace to to start getting after it once
we get to training camp.

Speaker 2 (43:33):
Yep, let's go. So that'll be fun. A player that
impressed you the most, did you have one, Gibbe?

Speaker 3 (43:42):
I mean, I liked what Thrash did. There were moments
where Judkins did certain things that and I know that
you're not tackling, you're playing touch football, but there's there's
the fast twitch, yeah, and there's the get out into
the flat and then all of a sudden there's another
gear almost like the guy right there on the other

(44:03):
side of the wall, and yeah, he's kind of like, Okay,
I want to see this with the pads on. Yeah,
there's something there.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
He is for sure going to be a fan favorite
and be I think incredibly productive for this football team.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
I agree, yeah, I it's I think he's good. I
thought it was interesting them lining up Samson as a
wide receiver. We saw him go out wide numerous times.
So if you're gonna lie Fanning up at wide out
or Samson out like in a wide out type role,
fascinating to watch him. There's a lot of options here
for this coaching staff.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
I also like, I like the idea of when they
are able to get fan In. I mean, I'm sorry,
Samson on the field with Judkins in that shotgun where
you have him on both sides. Both of them can
carry the football, both of them. You can get guys
going motion, went out, have them come across, you get
just freeze the linebackers for a second. Just opens a

(45:03):
lot of things up, and it's dynamic. It's gonna be
a very dynamic thing. I like. Yeah, I Fannin and
the rookie running backs. Really all three of those guys

Speaker 2 (49:12):
I haven't even been outside that much. The sweet wife
did allow me. I got two rounds of golf and
since Luca has been born, Okay, so that's huge.

Speaker 3 (49:19):
That is huge. How'd you shoot? Oh yeah, really good.

Speaker 2 (49:23):
The game has been good.

Speaker 3 (49:24):
Yeah, since we've gone from winter to summer.

Speaker 2 (49:26):
Well, yesterday, yeah, we were able to get out on
our course opens at one on Monday and they let
us get out at like twelve fifty five, just me
and the kid. Is it twesome? And we played in
two hours. It was awesome. It is amazing.

Speaker 3 (49:38):
Like, what's that like?

Speaker 2 (49:40):
Great? Yeah, well that helps, that's it. That helps you
be able to get you know, get a little golf
around it. And when you say, oh, I'll be back
in two hours, it will help helps a lot.

Speaker 3 (49:49):
Yeah, I would, I would bet? All right?

Speaker 2 (49:51):
So we got Prisco's top one hundred. Yes, and this
is based on is it based on last year? It's
based on what he thinks for this year? Do we know?
Do we know?

Speaker 3 (50:01):
Kind of standby Broxton?

Speaker 2 (50:04):
Tell us right now?

Speaker 5 (50:05):
It's his top one hundred NFL players ahead of the
twenty twenty five season.

Speaker 3 (50:11):
Gotcha? So going into the season.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
So like he loves j Okay, but j Okay because
he's not going to play this year, is not on
the list? Correct? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (50:20):
All right? How many Browns are on this top one
hundred list? Something in my eye?

Speaker 2 (50:30):
All right, I think I'm gonna say five, but I
think it could only be three? What come on?

Speaker 3 (50:46):
Not kidding?

Speaker 2 (50:47):
So Miles is on the list, Prisco? Where's Denzel? Denzel
doesn't make the list, He's not a top one hundred
player in there. And how many cornerbacks are on this list?
I who?

Speaker 3 (51:00):
You want to know the answer to that?

Speaker 2 (51:02):
Let go to the event, go like to ninety to
one hundred or eighty five to one hundred and tell me.

Speaker 3 (51:07):
Who's Dak Prescott is ninety Okay, DeVante Adams ninety one,
Jordan Love is ninety two, Okay, McConkie ninety three.

Speaker 2 (51:17):
He has Lad McConkie had a Jerry Judy, Yes, Bucky
I like. I like Bucky Irving ahead of Denzel Ward.

Speaker 3 (51:28):
That's right, Derwin, James Kelsey, Dion Dawkins, Tyler Smith, Jalen Ramsey,
Christian Benford, who's a corner right from Buffalo?

Speaker 2 (51:40):
Buffalo?

Speaker 3 (51:43):
Uh? If I'm going through and looking up other ones,
Cooper de Jon, the gene whatever.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
Cooper Dejen's awesome, But so is Denzel Ward.

Speaker 3 (51:54):
Devin Witherspoon, Okay, just eighty four.

Speaker 2 (51:59):
I don't under I don't understand the lack of Denzel Ward.
I really don't. I'm not being that's not even being
a homer. That is, you could make the case in
Nadjoku Judy, Matonia, Ward and Miles would be on there,
but definitely Denzel Ward.

Speaker 3 (52:14):
Denzel Ward, by the way, does everybody just think he
had a hu hum year? Last year?

Speaker 2 (52:18):
Denzel Ward was a Pro bowler second straight season, third
time last three years. He led the NFL with nineteen
passes defense. Last year, he was the best in man coverage.
I don't understand this. Help me understand. Does he have
an honorable mention? Does he at least list? I don't
even see an honorable mention?

Speaker 5 (52:37):
No honorable mentions. There are fourteen corners on the list.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
Trent mcdie for he doesn't think he's one of the
top fourteen corners in the league. No, he must have
just forgot about him. He must have forgot about him.
That's the only thing that I can I can even
possibly think of. He must have forgot it.

Speaker 3 (52:56):
I don't get it. It's it's pretty amazing. That is crazy.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
And Buttonio seems like a guy that he would love
as well. Is like Nick Chubb on the list? No, no,
well he's a yeah, but he loves it. He doesn't
he thought. Remember he's telling us how Zeke Elliott was
better than Nick Chubb. That's wild.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
All right.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
Let me see if I can get his top ten.
We'll do that. So we'll try to do this to wrap.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
It up, all right, I'm not going to it a
little more as the week goes off.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
Yeah, all right, I think in his top ten in
no particular order, all right, all right, Josh Allen.

Speaker 3 (53:37):
Josh Allen is number four, Okay.

Speaker 2 (53:39):
Mahomes number one, Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 3 (53:44):
Page two, number six.

Speaker 2 (53:47):
Okay, Miles number two, number two, okay, Justin Jefferson number five, okay,
number five. All right, so I got you're doing all right?

(54:08):
The top five five for five? I need number three.
Jalen Hurts not in the top ten.

Speaker 3 (54:18):
First miss?

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Okay, Patrick Certain number nine.

Speaker 5 (54:23):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
PS two is number nine. I'd be shocked if he
did this. But I'm just gonna say, because he probably
is in vogue. To be in top ten lists right
now would be.

Speaker 3 (54:35):
Sa A year ago he did not even have him
in the top one hundred. Okay, he's number.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
Three, which is so against what he believes in, you know.
All right, So that's seven yep? I need three more yep.
T J Watt not he's number eleven, okay, Jamar Chase
number eight, okay, Joe Burrow number seven. Okay, I'm only

(55:03):
missing one. You're missing number ten. That's not bad. I've
only had two misses.

Speaker 3 (55:08):
Yeah, pretty good.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
Woll this might this might be a tough one. Can
you give me a position.

Speaker 3 (55:21):
Defense?

Speaker 2 (55:23):
Defensive player from Micah Parsons.

Speaker 3 (55:30):
There you go. Number eleven's t J. Watt number twelve,
Lane Johnson Okay number thirteen, Jordan Mylatta, that's Eagles offensive tackle.

Speaker 2 (55:41):
To Eagles, it's both of their tackles.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
Henry is fourteen, Hutchinson fifteen, Creed Humphrey is sixteen. A
lot of love for the offensive line. In the top twenty,
Jalen Carter seventeen, Christ Jingle eighteen, Fred Warner nineteen, Tristan
Wurf's twenty.

Speaker 2 (55:59):
Wow, where DoD does he have Jalen Hurts?

Speaker 3 (56:03):
It's a great question, stand by. I saw him.

Speaker 2 (56:05):
Earlier fifty two, fifty two.

Speaker 3 (56:08):
Yeah, wow, he's got Kittle twenty five. Trey Hendrickson twenty six.
By the way, how crazy is that you've been gone?

Speaker 4 (56:16):
Like?

Speaker 3 (56:17):
And how crazy is it? Their top draft pick? Yeah,
he's done, Like, eh, I'm just not going to play.
I'll re enter the draft. Like he's got Tyreek Hill
at thirty. Yeah, Tyreek Hill is a good player, but
I feel like.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
There was a very well had a down year, majorly
down yere last year.

Speaker 3 (56:33):
I mean, he's got a J Brown at thirty one
ahead of Hurts. I don't just throw him the ball.

Speaker 2 (56:39):
I don't understand how Denzel is not there is. That
is just wild.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
Yeah. Jaydeen Daniels is thirty three, Kyle Hamilton is thirty six.
Cam Hayward is thirty seven. Okay, wow, your boy forty one.
It's interesting he's got so many Uh yeah, Malick Neighbors

(57:04):
is forty five.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
Link Neighbors are gonna be very good this year.

Speaker 3 (57:08):
Herbert forty nine.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
I caim I just said, no, Denzel Ward to me as.

Speaker 3 (57:13):
A wise corners ahead of Denzel Ward.

Speaker 2 (57:15):
That's absurd, absurd, nobody would draft that way. All right, No, well,
we're gonna go ahead. We're gonna go reflect on this.
We're gonna hope that we're able to be back fully
for you tomorrow on this program. If we are back tomorrow,
do we have anything exciting for the people tomorrow? Give me?

Speaker 3 (57:34):
Uh then, got position groups we're going through?

Speaker 2 (57:37):
Nice?

Speaker 3 (57:38):
Yeah, well here we've saved all the position coaches.

Speaker 2 (57:41):
Fantastic. It's gonna be great gift. Thank you, Gibbe. All right, everybody,
