Speaker 1 (00:03):
The following He is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot
Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
This He's Cowboys Storyline with Nick Eatman, What's up, everybody?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
And Welcome to Cowboys Storyline Wednesday, April twenty third. Probably
also referred to as the NFL Draft. Eve, I just
made that up, but I'm sure people have said that before.
It's time. Well tomorrow, it's time to talk to the
NFL Draft. We've been talking about it for the last
I don't know a few months or so, some more
than others. But this is about the time when when

(00:47):
I really get invested. Now I'll jump in. I'm that
guy you know in the marathon. You know, I'm interested
in the point too. You know, you guys can run
the twenty six, but the point too, I'm in. I'm ready.
I'm ready to run this marathon. So that's kind of
where we are obviously in this draft process, and we
want to hear from you guys. Eight eight, eight, eighty
five five two two nine seven. We do have a

(01:10):
guest that's joining us. You guys know him, you love him.
Darren Woodson is supposed to be here and usually anybody
else I would say, we'll see, we'll see if he
gets there. He's told me twice he's coming nine to
forty five. It's here in fifteen minutes. I would be
surprised if he's not early. That's just the Woodson way.
We're hoping he'll be here. Whoever gets to call on

(01:33):
the line in that time, when he's here, it'll be
your lucky day. It'll be our lucky day as well.
All right, let's get let's get started those see if
we can get a few calls in beforehand. Anthony and
Miami start us off. Anthony, make me quick.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (01:48):
My god?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (01:51):
What's up?

Speaker 6 (01:52):
The nickname of taking off baby?

Speaker 7 (01:53):
I heard taking off?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
I heard someone say that, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
Since I didn't called a couple of weeks I was
waiting on this draft show. I'm sorry. I'm gonna miss
Woody Man best damn Cowboys safety other man, hall of famer. Definitely.
You had two callers last week. I want to say
that I think their names, one guy from Alabama Jerome
and another guy with my name, Saint Anthony from Piety
were great calls.

Speaker 8 (02:21):
Man.

Speaker 6 (02:21):
I don't think they were first time callers. Those are
the type of calls I'm talking about because one blood,
blue and silver. So I love that. Next time, Irene,
she answered me on the y'all to have social media,
I'm not even on the storyliners, but on the YouTube stuff,
she answered, one of the things I put down about
Randy and his family, man, my thoughts and prayers. I
appreciate you, I ring for putting that out for the people,

(02:43):
and Randy, your boy Anthony got you.

Speaker 8 (02:45):
Man.

Speaker 6 (02:45):
We're gonna do that karaoke thing. Now, let's get onto
this draft thing. I've been hearing people with the needs
and what's more poort over line this and that my
little list real quick. Explosive wide receiver, explosive running back,
good left cathckle good to gonna be great that we
can plug in right now, a starting cornerback and another deep.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Tackle in the draft.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
This is if you can get it. If you can
trade back, you can probably get that type of stuff.
You know you can get that type of stuff. There's
four people that I adore in this draft. I mean
our door. We can give them too. We probably won't
get and I'll give them to you them get off
the line, let somebody else get in. Asking gent I
wrote a poem with the man name in it, so
everybody knows how Travis Hunter. That's a trade up situation.

(03:33):
So we probably won't get them. If we stayed at twelve,
we'll get my third guy. That's Tyler Waran. I food
everybody that's a beast. I want people listening to the
press conference yesterday. I want people that's gonna play, that's
gonna be hard nosed, that's gonna come and want to compete,
that love football. I heard it and I loved those
four guys up there in that press conference. That's what

(03:53):
I'm talking about. And my fourth one, he's a trade
back and a late pick, and his name is Cam Scattaboy.
A lot of Bowie's slowly small. He just a better
DU's Wall And I'm not trying to put Duce out there.
He's just a better one man. That guy's part knows
football player. That's what I want. We're still gonna have
a good draft, and we're still going for our Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
All right, all right, thanks Anthony yep. I mean, obviously genty,
I don't think he's gonna make it out of the
top five, maybe top six, probably not getting past the
Raiders at six, if he even gets there. The Travis
Hunter thing, though, still is amazing to me. I'll watch

(04:33):
college football, you know, as much as anybody, and don't
get me wrong, quarterback is the most important position on
the field, There's no doubt about it. And cam Ward
is apparently this year's best quarterback, but they'll be next
year's cam Ward. And there was a cam Ward before that,
and every year there is the best quarterback or two

(04:54):
that's out there. There's not been another Travis Hunter since
his name was Dion Sanders. So I just don't understand.
And that one, I don't understand how he gets past one.
I mean, I'm sorry. The difference between cam Ward at
thirty at one and at thirty three, whoever you quarterback
you want to take there, the difference between those two

(05:16):
quarterbacks can't be that far away from the difference between
Travis Hunter and then the next receiver in corner. I mean,
this doesn't make sense. So generational player, that's what they're
always looking for. Again, that's not the Cowboys problem, but
they're not going to be able to get those guys.
I just when I think about him, you know, getting

(05:38):
to four, getting to five, falling. I'm like, can't. I
can't believe you would even get to two in my opinion.
All right, let's keep keep it rolling. Sebastian and Savannah Georgia.

Speaker 9 (05:50):
Good morning, mich Even.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
How you doing good? How are you listen?

Speaker 10 (05:53):
I'm doing great. I got into my first phone call.
I'm a semi professional day trader, so I made seventeen
hundred dollars right before that.

Speaker 11 (05:58):
Car.

Speaker 10 (05:59):
I'm doing fan tactic.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
What but yes, yes you are.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
That's awesome morning.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, I love I love that those are in the
same sentence. You know, Yeah, you made almost two thousand
dollars and you got in on the storyline on the
first call.

Speaker 12 (06:12):
You know.

Speaker 10 (06:12):
Yeah, I got the notification as I was closing the trade, literally,
and I'm like, oh, let me call in real quick,
and it rings.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
I'm man, man, that's either it's either a good thing
for you or bad for us that that, you know,
we don't have the same kind of exposure. But I
don't think it's case. I think I think I hear
the same.

Speaker 10 (06:27):
It's great for both of us.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
It's great for both of us.

Speaker 13 (06:29):
But let's get to the track.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Okay, good thing, all right, what what do you got
what do you got for us?

Speaker 10 (06:34):
So I'm a big fan of Lincoln Park and they
have an album media or where they have a song
breaking the habit on it, right, I want Jerry to
break the habit. At this point, getting the lineman has
become the habit. I'm not against it, but it has
become the habit, and I want to try something a
little different. So I put it in terms that we
all understand. We played, we play games. Verdance gets back
in Call of Duty. Right, I'm a great sniper. I

(06:55):
love sniping. I do it all the time. But every
now and again my team needs me to, you know,
sack up and grab an ar sub.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
And I want to show them that I can do
something a little.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
Different to help the team, right, to make sure that
we win.

Speaker 9 (07:06):
Do something a little different.

Speaker 10 (07:07):
Maybe be a little bit more aggressive. Maybe pick up
the phone this time if you decide that you want
to trade back, but do something different in this draft
and don't just go for what we're good at. Yes,
we're good at drafting lineman. But as we had that
amazing wall in that great running game, we still didn't
make it beyond the first round of the playoffs. So
what type of weapon can we get on this team
rather be stopping people scoring touchdowns or scoring touchdowns that

(07:29):
can get this team to win. And that's all I
want to know, mister, even Europeion and you guys have
a great day.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Well you have a good day as well. I I
don't necessarily agree. I mean, like, yes, you're good at
drafting linemen, but it's time to do it again like that.
That's the thing. I mean, like we're talking about and
you know, fourteen years ago, Tyron Smith, then Travis Frederick

(07:57):
two years later, then Zach Martin. They're all retired obviously
we know that. Now two of them have retired in
the last few months. So it's time to do it again. Now,
Tyler Smith, they drafted a couple of years ago that
worked out well, Tyler Geiton. That hasn't worked out yet.
Maybe it will, but it's time to reload. And so

(08:19):
you lost me a little bit with your Call of
Duty references just because that's not a game that I play. However,
I understand your point of course about you know, tricking
it up every once in a while doing things different.
We'll see, we'll see if they if they do that.
I mean, I think at twelve. I just think you're

(08:40):
gonna get You're going to get a good player, a
really good player, a guy that they should come in
here and start. And I've said this before, I'll say
it again. I don't know how many first round grades
that they have. We'll probably find that out tomorrow. I'm
guessing somewhere between fifteen seventeen something like that. My goal
for the Cowboys would be to make sure you get

(09:02):
a first round grade. That's it. If you do trade back, fine,
but make sure it's a trade back knowing that you're
still gonna get a guy that you value as the
first round grade. You to me adding a third and
a fourth just so you can move back to nineteen
or twenty. I don't know if that's worth it as much,

(09:22):
but you knows. Unless one of your first round grades
is a guy that that you know, not a lot
of people have you know, valued as much. You know,
for instance, and again I'm just kind of spitballing here.
Maybe like alignment from from Texas Kelvin Banks. You know,
that might be a guy that they really like and
they see the versatility as a tackle and a guard,

(09:45):
whereas other teams are maybe saying he's a late first
rounder or second round pick or whatever, a guy like
that that they, hey, we really really love this guy.
We think we can get him later. You know. Then
I guess I'd be okay with that. But make sure
you get first round talent, because you've earned it by
playing the way they did last year. So make sure
you get one. All right, Let's go to Robbie Koco

(10:05):
beat LORDA. Robbie. What's up?

Speaker 5 (10:07):
Good morning, Mick.

Speaker 14 (10:08):
How are you guys today? The same question is always
how's the family, Jake, the wife, everybody?

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Everybody's great. Yeah, everybody's great. Thanks for asking.

Speaker 14 (10:18):
Yeah, of course. So normally I asked a question and
I take it offline. Can I have a conversation.

Speaker 15 (10:24):
With you a little bit?

Speaker 11 (10:24):
Let's go for it, all right.

Speaker 14 (10:26):
So a couple maybe two weeks ago, you said some
stuff about Tyler Warren the tight end, that we'd have
to trade Ferguson. I'd like to debate that a little bit.
And I'm not saying I'm right wrong. I just want
to debate it a little bit. I remember the Patriots
when they had Hernandez and Gronk with the two tight ends.

(10:47):
They were amazing. What would happen if we had you know,
Ferguson and Warland Warren.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Yeah, I mean you're right about that. And I don't
know how long they had all those two guys together,
like two or something, right, because what what usually happens
every four years. I mean it's you know, it's contract right,
and so that's that's the thing. I mean, we're Ferguson's
at that point right now. He talked about it last

(11:15):
night at the home run derby that. I mean, you know,
contract is is getting you know, is getting that time again.
He knows he has to step up and and and
play better. This is a big year for him obviously,
So you know, you're not wrong, You're not wrong in that.
But I don't think when the Patriots were doing that,
you know, they were kind of doing more the inside

(11:36):
out approach. I don't think they had Randy Moss. I mean,
I don't think they at that time. They were just like,
whoever the receiver is is fine. They didn't have Ceedee Lamb,
is what I'm trying to say. So that approach, that approach,
you don't have to trade Jake Ferguson. You know, if
that happens, you don't have to trade him the next
day or even this year. You don't have to do that,

(11:59):
but you would you would think that you probably don't,
especially with Scoon Maker. I mean, that's a lot of
tight ends. There, a lot of draft. So that's what
I would think. Again, I don't I think we're just
kind of talking here. I don't think that cowbages are
going to take And I don't know if he'll even
be there from what I hear, I mean, what what
I'm seeing and all that, I mean, he's probably gonna

(12:20):
be a top twelve I think.

Speaker 16 (12:22):
So we'll see, we'll see.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Yeah, I mean there there's going to be that moment
of somebody, some poor guy's going to be sitting there,
you know, with his family in the in the room
and he's you know, up right right and so you know,
or at his house. I mean, they'll they'll show him
there one way or another.

Speaker 14 (12:42):
So but all right, So I got one more question. Yeah,
and it's just when you can answer offline if you
don't mind. So I'm just gonna sull Madden here. Not
for the game because that accurate obviously, but just ratings.
Would you rather get two or three guys that are
ninety rating or eight or ten guys that are seventy

(13:06):
five to eighty just talking trading back. Everybody's talking about
trades back getting more picks. So just your opinion on
that and I'll listen off their Thanks Nick, and I
hope the best for y'all.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Thank you. You know, that's that's a good question. It's like,
are you and you're talking about the draft in this
particular case for this year. Yeah, I'd be okay if
I knew I was going to get a bunch of
you know, second, second round, third round, fourth round studs.

(13:40):
Speaking of second round studs. Hearn Woodson coming in here,
and I could ask him that that same question, Darren,
what's up man?

Speaker 11 (13:50):
Not much? How's everything?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
I was doing great? Man? He just just walk in
this crash the party. I mean, you're allowed to do that,
you know, like we said yesterday, if your name is
up there on the floor, you can kind of do
what you want. The question was, and I'll just jump
right in, you know, it's it's that time of the
year we talk about it. The question was Brian in
Kansas City had a great question. I'm sorry. It was
Robbie and Koco Beach, Florida, that had the question, Brian

(14:13):
is the lucky when it gets to go next, Robbie says,
would you rather have eight to ten solid players rated
about seventy five to eighty or a couple of studs
at you know, in the nineties, So basically, first and
second round hits are great, everyone else didn't work out
so much, or everyone's just solid across the board. And

(14:34):
my answer was going to be in a team like
this where you have a CD and a Micah and
a Dack layer, I need some a little bit more
role players. But you always want your.

Speaker 11 (14:43):
Super Yeah, you want your superstars. If you could have both,
you would. I mean Jimmy had both, that's right, right,
Jimmy had both. He drafted well early in the first
second round, and then he had your role players like
the Leon Ledz and that were phenomenal. Right, I would
even call Leona role player Eric Williams later in the draft,
like a lot of guys that, you know, potential Hall
of Fame guy type of guys that were later in

(15:06):
the third, fourth round. So you want a little both.
As a matter of fact, I did, Nick, I did
h this little speaking engagement yesterday and we talked about
that we talked about the way that early in the nineties,
and I hate going back that far, but in the nineties,
what made a special was like you did have your
your Big Three, you did have your your Michael Irvans
and Emmitt Smith's and Troy Aikman's, but you had so

(15:28):
many guys that got drafted later on in the draft
that understood their role. I mean at the highest level
of understanding their role running down on special teams, blocking
for like a Darryl Johnston who was a later draft
pick that understood his role not only as a fullback
but on the special teams as well, Like it took

(15:49):
took it to heart. And if you can find those
guys in the third, fourth, fifth round, they round out
your roster. That's where you become a championship team. You
don't become a championship team with just Micah Parsons and
Dak Prescott and C.

Speaker 6 (16:04):
D Lamb.

Speaker 11 (16:04):
That's not it. That's just not The roster needs to
be built out.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
And it's not just second, third, fourth rounder late guys.

Speaker 11 (16:12):
It's free agents off the street. It's you know, and
guys that buy into it, not just football players. They
buy into the culture and what their job is and
what they're expected of.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
That's a great well I'll say, now, thanks for joining us.
And what do you I mean, obviously you have you
have some great draft stories. I've talked to you about
that in the past. We can share that if you want,
because I remember you said you hated the Cowboys.

Speaker 11 (16:39):
Yeah, I hated it.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
You hated the Cowboys and you didn't really want to.

Speaker 11 (16:42):
Get Jerry Cowboys. Yeah I didn't. I mean it didn't matter,
actually didn't, mat. I just wanted to be drafted. I
was surprised that the Cowboys drafted me because I had
so much more interest from the Giants and Detroit and
I'm talking man, I had a ton of teams that
shared more interest than the Cowboys did. I mean, they
play their cards pretty close to the vest. But I

(17:03):
was just excited. Now and you look at you can
talk to any draft pick coming up right now and
the next, you know, a couple of days, the next day.
I guess they just want to get off the board.
I mean, we can talk about their favorite teams growing up,
and they want to get off the board right. They
want to be somewhere because their dream has always been
this moment and it doesn't matter if it's Jacksonville or whomever.
We'll figure it out once we get there. But getting

(17:25):
off the board and knowing that you've been picked is
the dream man. That's that's the goal.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
And then all of a sudden, the Cowboys just became
your team.

Speaker 11 (17:32):
They became my team. Jerry signed his check and I
became a Cowboy fan. I don't know how that happens.
I have no idea.

Speaker 17 (17:38):
Yeah, get a little money, money helps, Yeah, money helps, But.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
It's also, like you said, it's also a team that
believes in you more than it was that team. And
it was funny because you said you just had to
get away you you went and played golf.

Speaker 11 (17:51):
I was going out. Actually, so the year before, I'll
tell the story. The year before, my friend, one of
my best friends today, my I mean best man, was
my roommate, Floyd Fields. He was a year in front
of me. He got drafted. He was supposed to get
picked in the second third round, late to mid second round,
right he went and fell to the fifth round of

(18:12):
the draft. San Diego Chargers drafted him, and he and
I sat there and watched him fall to the third round,
fourth round, and guys were going in front of him,
and I was like, man, this is it was hard.
It was painful sitting there watching them with him, and
it was emotional, man, just going through this with them.
And he finally gets drafted, and he right when he
got drafted fifth round, they said his name San Diego Chargers.

(18:34):
He looked, throw it to me and said, we're not
going to do this next year for you. This ain't happening.
I'm not gonna let you just sit here and go
through this process. Right, So he goes to San Diego,
comes back the next year on my draft day, gives
me his pager. We didn't have cell phones back there.
He gives me his pager and he says, hey, he
set up a golf outing for me and my buddies

(18:55):
and he said, hey, look when you get drafted. My
family was all there and now he said, when you
get drafted, I will ping you, I will call and
text you, but we're not gonna sit here and watch
this thing. So I left and went. You know, of course,
right everzon State had to go get the drinks first, right,
and you know, the drinks didn't had to go to
the golf course. And I was pulling up the golf

(19:15):
course phone phone or a pager rank I get I
call from long story, But it was a lot more
than this because my six five friend had to threaten
the uh the pro shop guy to use the phone,
so he ended up. You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
It was a lot going on.

Speaker 11 (19:35):
Come we didn't have cell phones. We didn't have cell
phones back there. I had to get it. I had
to use a landline, so we had to threaten the guy.
I called my buddy Floyd. Floyd picks up the phone
and he says, hey, man, I got news for you.
I said, okay, give it to me. He said, you
just got picked thirty seventh pick in the draft. And
I was like, he said, you felled a second thirty
seventh pick of the draft. And I was like, okay, hey,
it is what it is, all right, he says, but

(19:57):
I got some bad news. I said, what's the bad news?
He says, I'm damn Cowboys. And that was because he
knew I couldn't stand the group. I would never grew
up a Cowboy fan. But he and I sat there
for a second. I thought, man, cowboy really and he
said yeah, Cowboys. He said, they want you on a plane,
right now, so you got thirty minutes to get here
and get a bag and catch this plane. And I

(20:21):
out on the plane, I thought, And that's when I thought, Man,
I got emotional on the way to not so much
because there was so much going on. There was so
many congratulations. Family was there. And then when I got
on the plane, I was by myself. And that's when
I was like, Man, here's the reality all these years due.
I mean, I was seven eight years old dreaming about
being drafted to a football team.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
That's awesome. Yeah, I love it. All Right, let's go
to the phone lines. We got guys waiting here. Brian
in Kansas City, Brian, what's up man?

Speaker 18 (20:49):
Good morning, sir, Good morning, mister Woodson.

Speaker 11 (20:51):
Oh are you Brian.

Speaker 18 (20:53):
I'm doing great, man, I'm doing great. So I had
a question about just as people are an in for
the first time, you know, you just started talking about
you know, you're on the plane, you're on your way.
What's that you know, maybe just a snippet of what's
that moment when you walk into you.

Speaker 12 (21:13):
Know, there was no star at the time, but.

Speaker 19 (21:15):
When you walk into the facility for the first time,
you know you're the second round draft pick. You're you're,
you know, one of those top guys. What's the you know,
who picks you up at the airport? Who how do
you get from, you know, around the facility, you know,
that first day. I'm assuming back in those days they
probably still did press conferences on your first day.

Speaker 11 (21:37):
Yeah, so you.

Speaker 19 (21:39):
Know, just maybe just a snippet of what that very
first couple of hours is like, sir, and I'll.

Speaker 12 (21:45):
Hang up and listen.

Speaker 19 (21:45):
It's a pleasure to talk to you.

Speaker 13 (21:47):
And it was a damn pleasure to watch it.

Speaker 11 (21:48):
Yeah, I appreciate that. You So it goes and I'm
not sure how things are flowing currently, how things are,
but when I was playing, it was basically you got
draft that they sent someone, especially a first round pick,
you may be a little different, you know, it might
be you know, they may handle the situation a little different.
But if you're second, third, fourth round, they're gonna send

(22:10):
someone to the airport to go get you, to pick
you up. You get on that getting that van or
if it's you might have two or three guys. I
had five guys, Yeah in the van. I remember it's
a free agent Michael Beasley who was a free agent
that year that I got drafted. He just he was
on he was on the sprinter van when I got there. Man,
it was so many guys, but we got, you know,

(22:31):
get picked up. You come here to the facility, and
there's always a lead. There's always going to be someone
who's leading the process, a young guy who says, hey,
you know, he makes the introduction. You walk in and
you're or or it may be currently it may be
an agent that's flying, your agent flying or meeting you
here or whatnot. Right, But once you get here to
the facility, I mean, I can't speak for everyone else.

(22:57):
I can speak for myself. It's it's the unknown, like
it's because it's a new organization. Man, I just spent
four years at Arizona State or at the college. I
knew everyone there, from the training staff to the doctors
to you know, your athletic department, everyone in the athletic department,
the volleyball players, the gymnast I knew, you know, every

(23:19):
kind of everybody within that circle. And now it's a
new circle. It's a totally new in. It's business and
you know a little bit of business now in I
l but but it was truly a business and understanding
that I have to learn and get to know everyone
else and they have to get to know me as well.
And now I have to learn a new defense, a
new offense or you know, my you know, I haven't

(23:42):
even thought about where I'm my living arrangements and where
I'm going to stay. Like there's so much that you're
you're going through in that time. But I just I've
never lost the thought of damn I made. This is
where I am. I mean, I'm here, this is the dream.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Well, I tell you what you're You're the most humble
superstarver I've ever met in my life. And I say this,
So I joked yesterday with him, I'll tell this, Can
I tell the story? It was just so funny the
way the Star is set up here. There's there's six
floors on one side. In the middle there's this huge
lobby atrium area, and then there's six floors on the

(24:19):
other side, which is a lot of commercial businesses and
and Darren's office is actually over there. So I see
him every now and again, and I actually was I
saw him walking on his phone. I knew where he
was going, so I ran the other way and kind
of intercepted him just so I could say, hey, you
know tomorrow, and he goes, yeah, yeah, I got you.
And he was like tell them. He was telling the

(24:39):
really nice security people right there to make sure and
tell them I can get there. And I'm like, you know,
if your if your name is on you know, on
the floor, which is this really nice ring of honor,
you know, the I don't even know how you would
say that. They're not plaques, but they're they're on the
actual floor. And I was like, if your name's on
the floor, you just to be able to go wherever.
And they were like, yeah, yeah, certain, I don't think

(25:01):
you had any problems. But that's that's kind of speaks
to you, is that, you know, you've been around so
many guys, so many superstars you don't need to name them,
but you've never you've never put yourself above others when
you could.

Speaker 11 (25:15):
You know, well why, I mean, look, well, here's the deal.
They have a job to do, right in security. There's
a lot of attrition here, Like there's new security guards.
They don't know me.

Speaker 17 (25:26):
They should you know, you know a lot of people
don't know why I say that because I'm around Dallas
all the time and I've been in the community here, Nick,
for thirty some years, your face is on a billboard
on a car, remember, and that's how they remember me.
They don't remember that I actually put a helmet on,
had a mouthpiece of my mouth and played thirteen years
the guy.

Speaker 11 (25:43):
No, they look at it and say, you're that guy. Yeah,
that doesn't commercial. Yeah right, So I mean, it's just
time and it doesn't matter. I've told the guys that
are currently playing today, I've had conversations with them. I said, hey, look,
it's just a matter of time. You when you walk away,
when you walk away from this thing, yeah, people forget
who you are. And that's just that's the that's just

(26:06):
the reality.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Well, then come on this show because nobody forgets that.
I'll say this, this is kind of funny. Yesterday Stefind Gilmore
was walking around. Of course, everybody gets to the big
stur Oh what's going on? And so I asked the
question and then it was it came back to me, well,
Darren Woodson's walking around too, Does that mean we're gonna
draft him? And I was like, you know, like not

(26:29):
the worst I did I've ever. All right, let's go
to Dylan Northport, Florida, Dylan, what's up?

Speaker 20 (26:36):
Hey, Nick, Hey Darren. I wasn't gonna call in today.
I hadn't done to work done. It's like half my
face is none of them drooling. But I thowt Darren
was coming on, so I had a question for him.
There's a big debate going on right now in Cowboys Nation,
and it's like half of this side, half of the nation,
if Cowboys draft an offensive lineman right seems like they're

(26:57):
gonna throw their remote to their TV screen, And the
other half is like, well, if that's the VPA, if
there's a guy that can come in and instantly upgrade
left tackle, right guard, yet, let's go ahead and take them.

Speaker 16 (27:06):
Wait, I know what Nick Fiel's about it?

Speaker 2 (27:07):
That mean yeah, yeah, yeah, yes, yes, please.

Speaker 20 (27:11):
Yes, And I'm on that side. Shob called in and
we talked about it and whatever. So we all know
where you stand.

Speaker 11 (27:15):
Neck.

Speaker 20 (27:16):
Everybody knows where a Darren as a former player and
all time great player, right, where do you stand on
that debate on BPA, even if it's an offensive lineman
versus weapon like a receiver.

Speaker 11 (27:28):
Yeah. Look, I'm a firm, firm believer that you win
championships in this league just look at Philly. You win
championship in this league up front, your big boys have
to win it. And this is what the Parcels mindset
right from inside out. He'd always say, hey, we have
to win the trenches. And we always talk about this, right,

(27:48):
and we lose concept of this because we catch the flash,
we catch all this wide receiver here just tight in.
Oh my god, they make these big plays. But if
Dak doesn't have time to throw the ball, if you're
not winning in the trenches, because think about it, you
still play Philly again twice that defensive front. If you

(28:10):
can't keep Dak upright, you got a problem. Man, You
have a series. You can't get the ball to CD.
And I'm a firm believer if you can get and
solidify things with your offensive line, your defensive line, you
give yourself a chance. On the outside. There's a lot
of man, there's a lot of damn good receivers out there.
There really are. There's a ton. There's a lot of
good running backs out there, right, I mean there's there's

(28:34):
a plenty. Now, there's some game changers. There's some guys
that are just like this Gentry. I'm not sure if
he translates or not. I have no idea. I haven't
watched him enough, right, but there's probably some superstars that
are real difference makers. But I still believe holistically, if
you just look at Philly, you look at Detroit, you

(28:54):
look at some of the teams in this league, even
San Francisco. Upfront, they're different, They're built.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
The scary thing about Philly is that they their skill
players are good to so they they they're they're bill
That's why they won Super Bowl. I'm gonna ask you
another thing about the draft. Uh, and it gets it
can get personal. Dean your boy and you you probably
knew then he was a kid.

Speaker 11 (29:19):
I knew both of us boys. Yeah, I know the
all the all the kids.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
So you know it's he's in a tough spot obviously,
because you know he gets he's viewed but a lot
with what his dad does and puts on a show
and all that kind of stuff. You've watched them play
where and you can talk about Hunter as well, and
they're they're gonna be drafted differently probably, But but what
what what's your take on them? Because I know you
kind of have a personal, you know, feeling towards the

(29:44):
Patto and Dion and you know.

Speaker 11 (29:46):
Here, here's the thing. There's two sides of this, right,
I know the personal side, and I you know, I
was I came up and they were babies coming up.
So there's it's it's it's different, right, family, right, And
when you have fans, you just want him to get
drafted early, and you always put him up as the
elite of the elite. Look, I'm not assessing quarterbacks. I'm

(30:07):
not watching film and breaking down film of what you know,
the top five quarterbacks, including your door look like. I
have no idea what you know. All I can tell
you is what I see on the football field when
he played at Colorado. I'll let all the scouts do
the rest. As far as judging he's a first day guy,
he's gonna be a first round pick. Where he falls,

(30:28):
I have no idea. But you know, if we're looking
for him to be the first pick, and if that
doesn't happen, it's not not my hot heartbroken for that.
We all know how this works. I saw Pat Mahomes
go to what what number was like? And I'm not
comparing the two, but you know he's going to go
off the board in first in the first ring, right. Yeah,
I'm happy for him. Yeah, I'm happy. I don't I

(30:48):
don't get caught up in the ego of being the
first pick in the draft, the number two pick or
number five. The kid his dream is going to come
true tomorrow and he's going to be picked.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Now. You played safety, slot, corner, linebacker a certain times,
special every special teams. You did it all. Uh and
you know how your body felt out of the game. Absolutely,
Travis Hunter?

Speaker 11 (31:14):
What man?

Speaker 2 (31:15):
What is that?

Speaker 11 (31:16):
I mean, that's he's a special player.

Speaker 12 (31:18):
Though.

Speaker 11 (31:18):
You know, I'd like to see how this translates into
the NFL.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
What would you do with him if you were if
you were to draft them? Is he as a corner corner?

Speaker 11 (31:26):
And then then yes, like because look, I think the
impact is you know, watching him play, yea, he seems
to be such an elite player on the defensive side
of the ball. I mean, there's so and I'll say
this in the NFL, there's a lot of big time receivers. Man,

(31:46):
every team has has their guy, right and can I
Can I utilize him on the offensive side of the ball, Absolutely,
I can do some things. But he's so different on
the defensive side of the ball. Yeah. I mean he
he's a go getter. He's and she's gonna jump routes.
He's a great hands ball like all those things. So
I'm looking at him and saying, Okay, you're my starting corner.

(32:08):
And then now I'm gonna figure out how I utilize
you on the offensive side of the ball, because he
can if you get him in one on one situations,
it's a toss up right, balls in the air. He
has great ball skills. He's gonna make some place for you.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
This is a question I should have asked you before.
But how long you got? I got time, tim Man. Okay,
we've got a couple of callers on the line. This
is this is a treat for them. Let's go to
Jerome and Birmingham, Alabama. He was a first time caller
last week. Now you're a regular Jerome.

Speaker 16 (32:36):
Hey, Hey, Nick the quick, How are you good?

Speaker 2 (32:38):
How are you doing? Man? You got Darren? What'son on
the line? What's up?

Speaker 12 (32:42):
Hey?

Speaker 6 (32:42):
That's the reason why I'm calling. Heyody, what's up with you?

Speaker 12 (32:44):
Maybe?

Speaker 11 (32:45):
How you doing? Drome?

Speaker 6 (32:46):
Hey, I'm doing good?

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Man.

Speaker 16 (32:48):
I called in because you've always been a player that
I admired. We played the same position. I'm a little
bit older than you, but I feel like they need
to make a special, special position for you when it
comes to the Hall of Fame. Some all the things
you were able to do on the field, than there's
no doubt about it that you are a Hall of Famer.
And I will agree with your sentiments about how the

(33:09):
nineties team was built, and I'd love to see that
come to fruition this year. Fill out the roster, get
players that know their role, that accept the role. I'm
passionate about doing a role, and we're gonna go Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
All right? You got any other questions? Is that it?

Speaker 16 (33:26):
That's it, man, I just really want to speak to
Woody Man. He's always been somebody I admired and I'm
just glad to get on and be able to talk
with you.

Speaker 11 (33:32):
Yeah, I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
Er, Thank you.

Speaker 11 (33:34):
Have a good day, brother.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
All Right. That's two calls now in a row for him.
It's become a regular. We got a lot of regulars
that call all the time. A lot of these guys
you've already talked to are but but it's also it's
always great to have new, new new voices and they
call in and all right, here's another one that's called
a lot Chuck D's in Bridge City, Texas. Chuck, what's up?

Speaker 8 (33:54):
Nick?

Speaker 9 (33:54):
In a while?

Speaker 8 (33:55):
Man, I got a new job. I hadn't been able
to call, but I'm glad I called to day.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Yeah, me too, we too, say what's up to Darren?

Speaker 8 (34:03):
Darren? Hey Buy, how you doing?

Speaker 11 (34:04):
I'm doing great?

Speaker 4 (34:04):
Man? How you doing good?

Speaker 7 (34:07):
Uh?

Speaker 8 (34:07):
I was gonna send him my question around you and
just uh one of my favorite games ever to watch
still is the ninety two championship game. I know you're
a part of that. Yeah, and uh uh if you
talked about that game, how nervous you were, I know,
your rookie and maybe talk, uh talk about what was
it like seeing you know, you got to see these

(34:29):
great Barry Sandrews against you, Jerry Rice against you. What
what was your favorite player to go up against? And
you were like, you know, kind of starstruck to see.

Speaker 11 (34:39):
Oh, you know a lot of the that's a good qrust.
So I did I did a deal. I did a
speech yesterday actually is a Q and A with at
s m U yesterday and they brought up Eric Dickerson yesterday.
Now I was a kid I used to play running back,
and I remember I used to love Eric Dickerson. I
used to love his running style, you know. I played

(35:01):
running back in high school and I just had this
thing for like, man, he's such a damn good this right.
So I'm talking and they asked me to come to
the same question. The guy that I looked and I
remember we played. Dickerson was playing for the Raiders and
Ronnie Lot was playing for the Raiders at the same time,
and we were in ninety two. We went up there

(35:22):
to play in a coliseum and Ronnie A. Lot was
my idol as well, both of those two guys, and
I remember running out on that field and they were
standing there doing drills and I'm just staring at him
the whole time, like, man, these two guys, these.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
I made it.

Speaker 11 (35:39):
I'm here. So we get in the game, man, and
Dickerson comes in the game. He's he's like one or two.
I think he's like the second team back or whatnot.
He comes in the game and I remember lining up
in the nickel and just right across and I had
him out of the backfield and that was that was
a moment for me.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
Yeah, that.

Speaker 11 (35:59):
Was a true moment for me and he he just
came out ran a you know, quick option route. But
I just felt like, you know, these are the guys
that I just dreamt about, you know, being not playing
against just being like them, man. And it was you
never lose that. You never lose that feeling.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
I wonder. I'm sure you know, because you played long enough.
I bet there were guys that you faced.

Speaker 11 (36:22):
Yeah, that came up they were like, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
You know that's pretty cool. I bet. I mean, did
that happen that you Oh yeah, you can think of.

Speaker 11 (36:29):
Yeah, yeah. I can't tell you how many guys, especially
later on my career, that you would you know, guys
would run up to you after the game and for
the game. You really didn't get a whole lot, but
after that. I did the same thing with Ronnie a
lot after the game. Man, we beat the pants off
the rails. I was looking for him after the guy
just wanted to shake his hand. Never shook his hand,
never knew Yeah, personally, so I've had that so many

(36:50):
times walking off the field and guys talking to me
about it.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
That's awesome. All right, Let's go to Chris Saratoga Springs,
New York. Chris, how are you. I'm good. How are
you doing.

Speaker 11 (37:03):
At all?

Speaker 5 (37:03):
In the airport getting ready to fly out the visit
my buddy in Ohio every year for the draft. That's
why out there we watched. We watch it in the
backyard and a huge projection TV with the fire you know,
fire pit going.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
It's probably going on there. That seems like there's there's
a few drinks flowing. That sounds a lot of fun.
All rights, still there, Chris.

Speaker 5 (37:28):
I feel like it's Christmas. I'm getting a Christmas wish
to actually talk to one of my favorite cowboys of
all time.

Speaker 11 (37:34):
There we go.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
That's awesome.

Speaker 5 (37:36):
Uh you you two of my favorites.

Speaker 12 (37:38):
You and Bill Bates.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
Those are my two favorite players of all time. Safeties
change the game, in my opinion. I just want to
say I think the Hall of Fame. I mean, I
haven't been listening because I'm been trying to call. I
called over a hundred times I get in to talk
to you, but I just want to say that I
think it's a travesty that the Hall of Fame hasn't
put you in there. I mean, you literally changed the

(38:01):
position in the game. I just I can't even understand it,
and I I probably got.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Chris, I got Darren was pointing. I don't know what
he was pointing at at first, And now I got it.
Is that Leroy Butler.

Speaker 11 (38:15):
Roy Butler.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
Okay, so he's pointing to the NFL network and they're
interviewing Leroy Butler, who's conveniently wearing his Hall of Fame. Yeah,
and when you talk about travesties.

Speaker 11 (38:26):
Oh, he's a good player, man, he's good.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
Exactly good players don't make it to the Hall of Yeah.

Speaker 11 (38:30):
Yeah, he's a good vote. He was good. No, I'm
just saying I know he's deserving of being in the
Hall of Fame. And I and I and we and
we talk about the best safeties in that those years
in those nineties, like it was he and I and
and then Dawkins at the end, and Lynch later on
and years they're all in. And I'm the one and
these are the guys that call me all the time

(38:53):
all the time.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
Maybe maybe you are just weren't a good, good enough person.

Speaker 11 (38:56):
I didn't I didn't do all the right things.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
Man, All right, Chris, thanks for the call.

Speaker 11 (39:02):
Did we answer Chris's question?

Speaker 2 (39:05):
I don't know. I think he was just talking about
being it was a travesty being and not being in
the Hall of Fame, which I think we all agree,
and I know you you you've handled it is Oh.

Speaker 11 (39:14):
I appreciate it that perfectly as you. I'll get there.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
You'll get there, and I can't wait for that. This
is this next call is special. This is a special caller,
Randy and textor Can is one of our favorite people. Randy,
what's up, man, dude?

Speaker 7 (39:30):
What is going on?

Speaker 4 (39:32):
Man?

Speaker 7 (39:32):
I just jumped in the truck. I flipped up there
to say what y'allre talking about real quick, see if
I could get in and did I happen to see?
I'm trying not to fanboy out right now, but is
that the greatest twenty eight of all time? Set next year?
Right now?

Speaker 2 (39:48):
Yep?

Speaker 12 (39:49):
He is?

Speaker 7 (39:49):
Oh wow, yep wow. Hey man, I'm gonna tell you what, brother,
You're already in the Hall of Fame and you're definitely
in the Hall of Fame for the great smile. Yeah,
the smile alone has got you there. To me, dude,
it is an honor to be able to talk to you, man.

Speaker 11 (40:08):
I appreciate that. Randy. We're part of that. What part
of Texas are you in Arcanacana.

Speaker 7 (40:13):
You can right here on the corner, man. Yeah, and
I'm at the age where your super Bowl runs with
my young we were. We're probably close the same age,
but yeah, I was right there with y'all. That's what's
wrong with me today is y'all are so good back
then you made all of us over with Brandy.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
They can't get back to Brandy.

Speaker 16 (40:37):
I have to I have to ask.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
We're so happy to hear from you. And there's been
a lot of the talk talk about you the last
couple of shows. Can you update us with with what's
going on with you?

Speaker 7 (40:49):
Yeah? Uh, the surgery is actually next Tuesday, so I've
had this week off. I told Chris y'all needed to
uh label last week show there no crime in football.
My my youngest son Brian, which you met, he got
married last weekend on our property. We had one of
those little ten's out there and had live music and

(41:11):
all that good stuff. Dude, and he brought that out
there and played the episode for me and trying to
get choked up now but y'all killed me, brother, that
was awesome. And Irene is an angel.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
Yes, and yeah, well we're all we're all pulling for
you for sure.

Speaker 7 (41:28):
Absolutely absolutely, And I almost trying my bet to call
in act.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
Let's try not to, you know, but if you.

Speaker 7 (41:37):
Yeah, I will apologize ahead of time if weird things
come out, you know how that okay?

Speaker 11 (41:44):
Ready, I'm just finding out man, and and I will
be praying for you today. Man, Brandy, what's your last name?

Speaker 9 (41:51):
Jeans?

Speaker 7 (41:52):
Just like a pair of blue jeans, the same way
all my coaches in baseball, they all hollered blue. I
don't think I didn't even know my name. Everybody got
me blue.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
Well, do you have a question for Darren Ooh?

Speaker 12 (42:07):
I not so much.

Speaker 7 (42:08):
It was such a I'm shooting from the hip here.
I didn't even realize what was going on. All I
want to say is that Roy gets all to talk
about his horse collar rule being brought. You know, they
almost started that stupid defensive receiver. I think because of Darren. Darren,
tell me if you can remember it, I want to

(42:31):
say it was forty nine ers. I can't remember. But
you were just literally standing in the middle of field.
A receiver comes across the middle to do a little
jump catch. Oh yeah, yeah, you stole his soul from
his body. Yeah, And they threw all these flags. Dude,
you hit that guy so clean and so hard that

(42:51):
that is what they teach.

Speaker 11 (42:52):
Yeah. Yeah, well yeah that's what they said, Brandy until
they sent me that seventy five. Yeah that FedEx the
next get here so.

Speaker 4 (43:03):
Fast because it was me.

Speaker 5 (43:05):
No, it wasn't me.

Speaker 7 (43:06):
I would have lost that. I'm the actual FedEx driver.
I would have found that in the track for you.
If it would have been.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Drug that's funny.

Speaker 7 (43:14):
Nope, not today, No, no, no, then it is awesome.
Get to talk to you, brother, and uh yeah, dream
come true there. I wish I could meet your person.
That's three while.

Speaker 11 (43:24):
Absolutely I'm praying for you, right, God.

Speaker 7 (43:26):
Bless you, sir, Yes, sir, And I'll keep everybody updated.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
Uh yeah, hanging there, buddy.

Speaker 7 (43:33):
Yeah, it's just a matter of getting it done now.

Speaker 15 (43:35):
You know.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Yep, Randy, thanks so much, touch out, appreciate it, man,
see you later. Yeah. He's he's one of the he's
everybody's favorite, you know, just just as you can tell.
It's just per his attitude always good. Yeah, I got
great energy, definitely. All right, Well let's let's uh so today,
the draft is tomorrow and then second third round is

(43:58):
on Friday. What else is Friday.

Speaker 11 (44:02):
I have not you're asking me. I'm talking terrorists upstairs.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
That's like, it's like the twenty fifth of April. Is
that it is that? Anything is? That's just second round.

Speaker 11 (44:13):
What is your birthday?

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Oh? Yeah, your birthday? Yeah? All right, okay, So we
have another caller. He's not calling in today. His name
is Ali. He is a professional photographer for like the
National Geographic.

Speaker 11 (44:27):
Oh he's vigorious, right.

Speaker 2 (44:30):
And a lot of times he will call in from
places like well he's out like on a shoot, and
he'll call into the show and it's amazing. He's really
really good. And he asked me on the show, and
is what is Darren Woodson's favorite animal?

Speaker 6 (44:45):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (44:45):
Remember? And I texted you?

Speaker 11 (44:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (44:47):
Yeah, yeah, you got back. Shockingly, you got back to me.
He said, mail.

Speaker 11 (44:51):
Lion, mail lion. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (44:53):
So this is not a present for me. This is
a present from Ali. But since it's your birthday, we're
gonna from the show from the storyline. Here is a picture.

Speaker 11 (45:04):
That's awesome. Man, let's do that all right?

Speaker 2 (45:07):
That is really show it to the camera. Look at that.

Speaker 11 (45:11):
Look at that man. He got his scars on him too. Man,
that's life. Yeah, that's life. Brother, that's just hey, we
all go through.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
It, Mica in like ten years.

Speaker 11 (45:21):
No, but I'm serious, man, I mean you look at this,
look at the face of this Lyon and yeah, you
know we just got done talking to Randy. Randy's going
through life right now, exact and in the real realist ways.
So you know, we played a game, Nick, and I
always wanted to let everybody know that, like, I played
a game. That's what I played. And I kind of
I knew. I was kind of knew I was going

(45:42):
to go home that day. Most of the time. I
was going to go home. I can tell you, man,
there's a lot of people who's who's playing. They're playing
the life game right now, right, and we need to
appreciate where we are right now.

Speaker 6 (45:52):
Man.

Speaker 11 (45:52):
We just you know, it's awesome.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
Well that was from Ali as a present from him
to you.

Speaker 11 (45:57):
He's a I appreciate this, thank you. That is a
beautiful I'm hanging it up today.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
All right. Well we'll call it your birthday present from
Cowboys storyline. It's been a present for all of us. Uh,
just to have you here. We're gonna go to break
let you get out here. I know you have meetings.
It is always an honor when you come by. You're
definitely I'm right here man.

Speaker 11 (46:16):
Yeah, yeah, I never get invited. That's the problem.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 11 (46:21):
You know, I have to run into you somewhere, Hey
can invite.

Speaker 2 (46:25):
I ran up. But you should have seen the forty
time I like found you, I like ran over to people.
Got a matter of fact, let me ask.

Speaker 11 (46:31):
You who in the fastest forty this year? Does anybody know?

Speaker 2 (46:34):
I think is that first? Matthew Golden I think from Texas.
I don't know if he's the fastest. I think he's
the fastest receiver. And he was like four two nine. Yeah, okay, moving,
that's moving. See And that's what I say. If I'm
drafting a receiver, even a running back to I'm going
by sort by the speed. Actually, I saw a picture

(46:54):
on NFL network like and I like ran over and
took a took a photo of it that they had
the fastest receivers of the and it was Matthew Golden
four two nine. But there's ten of them that had
run between four two nine and four three nine. Get
one of them, Yeah, get one of those, because they
you know, CD as great as he is. That's not
what he is, right, They don't have the enough turpin.

(47:16):
Is that? But not really?

Speaker 11 (47:18):
You know what, Look I look at guys on the outside.
Get a burner that have some height to him.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
Okay, you know like.

Speaker 11 (47:25):
Six two six three is like that's I wouldn't mind
that one of those, one of those burner.

Speaker 6 (47:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (47:31):
Yeah, Hi Darren, this is Chris the producer in the back.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
Chris Beam.

Speaker 11 (47:35):
Maxwell Hairston ran a four to eight.

Speaker 2 (47:38):
He's a cornerback from Kentucky. That was the fastest time.

Speaker 11 (47:41):
That was the fastest time. Thank you, Chris, because he's
always a dB, right, because always that's always a dB man.
DB's are ways all four five.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
No, I can't catch no can.

Speaker 11 (47:53):
Chase you down though.

Speaker 2 (47:54):
Yeah, they'll get drafted. He getting drafted, Yeah, no doubt
about it.

Speaker 11 (47:58):
All right, Darren, appreciate appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
Man, Thank you so much and enjoy your for your line.

Speaker 11 (48:03):
Ali. Appreciate you, brother, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (48:05):
He'll call in. He'll call in next show or so.
I think he's on assignment right now. He'll call in
and be able to talk. And it was awesome for everybody.
They got a chance to talk to you. We're not done,
We're going to break. We'll be right back and we'll
finish the show with a few more callers. See you, guys.

was awesome. It was awesome. I have Darren Woodson here.
I always feel bad for the callers afterwards that you know,
now Darren's gone just me. But he was great as always,

(50:47):
it was. It was awesome to hear from Randy that
he called. As he said, he's got surgery next week,
next next Tuesday. We look forward to hearing from him
whenever that is. If it's next Wednesday, that'd be that'd
be awesome. I'd be special. Let's not push it though,
but we're we're all pulling for you. That was great

(51:09):
that he got a chance to talk to Darren Woodson,
and that was pretty awesome. Randy, You're you're you're one
of the best. Everybody loves you and just just hang
in there. We know you will, all right. Ronnie from
New Jersey's Next.

Speaker 15 (51:22):
Good Morning Mick. Not too bad, Uh it was. It
was nice to uh see Darren Woodson there on the show.

Speaker 6 (51:30):
I missed him.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
I hate that for you. I hate that. I'm sorry.

Speaker 15 (51:35):
No, it's cool though.

Speaker 13 (51:36):
I actually, uh, I have had something to say. I
wanted to actually tell him. I know he's not listening
right now, but that guy, no matter what you know,
these people do, he's still a Hall of famer. In
our eyes, he's a Hall of Famer.

Speaker 15 (51:49):
They just haven't put him in.

Speaker 13 (51:50):
There yet, but everybody knows that no matter what.

Speaker 2 (51:54):
So no matter what, you're right, no matter what, he's.

Speaker 15 (51:56):
A Hall of Famer.

Speaker 9 (51:58):
And you know what.

Speaker 13 (52:00):
I've know, I heard it from you it But he
used to work in VESPN and all these other you know,
shows that he was in and I kind of miss him,
miss watching him on TV because the guys shows his personality,
you know what I'm saying. So that's something like you,
it's something that's really cool to see it or or
listening to someone's like actual personality. He shows who he

(52:22):
is no matter what, like whether through TV radio, and
that's you, you're, you're, you're the same way. That's why
we kind of appreciate the way you guys are. That's
why we appreciate talking and calling in and talking to
you guys.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
Well, and I think, and I'll speak for him who
said this before, and I say this, like like, we
can't do this without the fans. The players can't do
anything without the fans that you know, showing up, paying,
they pay the salaries. We don't do this show if
you guys don't call in. I did a show one time,
Chris remembers it, thirty minute show, zero callers. I don't

(52:58):
know what was wrong with the phone or if it
was just too early in the game.

Speaker 6 (53:02):
Something wrong with the phone.

Speaker 2 (53:03):
Well that wasn't fun. Wait, it made me rethink what
are we doing here? Then the next show we did
like eight, and the next show was like sixteen, and
then we were off from there. But there's no doubt
about it. Chris will tell you that wasn't That wasn't.
My best attitude I've ever had in my life was
after that show. We can't do this without you, so
it's y'all show. I say it all the time. This

(53:23):
isn't just my show, it's y'all show. And so if
we don't, if we lose sight of that, then then
we're doing the wrong thing and we're not focused on
the on the right thing. So so I hope you
know that, and saying that to you and everyone that
that's listening. So that being said, Ronnie, what you got?

Speaker 15 (53:40):
Actually, that's all I want to say. I wanted to
give a comment and.

Speaker 13 (53:43):
Say I hope we have a good draft. Whatever we get,
I hope the guys are you know.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
Give me a name, Give me a name.

Speaker 6 (53:50):
Who do you want?

Speaker 2 (53:50):
Give me a name?

Speaker 16 (53:51):
Who do you a man?

Speaker 2 (53:52):
Am I putting on the spot?

Speaker 11 (53:54):
Nick?

Speaker 12 (53:54):
Nick?

Speaker 15 (53:55):
I want I want to stop the run and I
want to be able to protect the quarterback. So I
know we're gonna have to go for a receiver or
something like that in the first uh, the first round.
But honestly, whatever we could get to help out the team. Yeah,
the guy from Texas, the wide receiver songs good and everything,
but whatever, you know, whoever, whoever, as long as they
help the team, that's that's all I want.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
All Right, Well, thanks for the call and you know
that's that's the beauty of the of the twelfth pick.
You know, I was we answered a mailbag question yesterday
and the question was do you take best player available
or do you take you know, your your biggest need
and I and I was like, well, you know, the
good news are the bad news? Which one do you want?

(54:38):
I mean, because the bad news is that you have
a lot of needs. The good news is that you
should be able to address one of them. So taking
the best player available is likely going to address a need.
That's how many needs you have, so you you really
we're over here talking about tied end and I don't
think that'll happen. But even if that did happen, they'd
be fine. If it's a corner that feels need, defensive

(55:00):
tackle feels a need defensive end, not if it feels
a need, but I mean, you you need more playmakers
and if that guy, I'm fine with that. I said
yesterday on an interview that I did. I thought, I mean,
Michael Williams from Georgia. If that's the pick at twelve,

(55:21):
or they moved back a little bit, pass rusher off
the edge, why not, you know, why not contract year
for Sam Williams, contract year for Micah it'll be to
be honest, but I think he'll be back. But still,
I mean, you need more of those guys, so I'd
be fine with that. I'd be fine with just about
any position if they can come right in and start.
And I don't think you take a guy at twelve
if he's not ready to do that. All right, let's

(55:43):
go to another caller. This is Luciano. I hope I
said this right, Luciano from San Antonio.

Speaker 9 (55:50):
That's correct, Yes, sir, I was born in Brown, Texas.

Speaker 12 (55:52):
By anytime Toinia.

Speaker 9 (55:53):
Now, thanks for the thanks for answering my call.

Speaker 2 (55:56):
First time caller, Yes, sir, first.

Speaker 9 (55:58):
Time for a long time. I've been reading your articles
for a long time too, man, awesome writer, Thank.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
You so much, Thank you so much. I hope you
heard you're here. We go from dak with it. The
first time callers get that, but so happy to hear
from you. What do you got for us? What's going on?

Speaker 9 (56:15):
So right off the bat, I just want something that's
been in my head. It'd be awesome is somehow. I
know everyone's kind of disperded, but you hellman and brought
us somehow make some type of podcasts.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
Get the band back together for the break.

Speaker 9 (56:32):
Yeah, man, that was so awesome. That's hard, you know,
with y'all like the podcast, so all the key they
gotta get back together.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
But let me let me say this. Let me say this, Luciano, Uh,
what do your friends call you to? They probably call
you have a nickname. I mean, what do they call
you Sam?

Speaker 6 (56:47):
Nicknamed Louie Louis?

Speaker 2 (56:49):
All right, I'm gonna call you Louis then, even though
we're not family, but you know what, you're part of
the storyline in your family.

Speaker 6 (56:54):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (56:54):
I have Hey, I have an ego like everybody else. Okay,
everybody has what I do. And I'll say this honestly,
when it comes to like me Brian and Dave on
a podcast, they don't need me. They seriously, those two guys.
I mean I would. I would be sure, I'd have
fun and i'd throw my you know, one liners and

(57:15):
blah blah. But those guys that would be their own
podcast right there, I would just be wasting time. Those
guys are hilarious. I had a front row seat for
it for about seven or eight years. It was awesome.
Dave Hellman where he is he owes Brian a lot,
and Brian will say the same with him. He used

(57:36):
to write a lot. Dave would read it all, he says,
he owes a lot of his career to to Brian.
They were they were like family. They would talk more
crap to each other back and forth. But if the
next person comes in and chimed in, no, oh hell no,
you know that's what it is with the family. You
can talk about your brother, but somebody else may not.

(57:58):
So anyways, I say that that would be fun. I
would be there for the show and all that. But
those two guys I've always said could run their own
podcast I think would be outstanding. But anyways, but they
don't work for us, so now it would be competing
with them. But Brian does. Brian's still on this show
and all that. He still comes back and does things
that would be fun. If we could do that.

Speaker 9 (58:16):
Maybe one day, maybe one day, and I'll be there
to watch it.

Speaker 4 (58:20):
I have to hear it.

Speaker 12 (58:21):
Man.

Speaker 9 (58:21):
So but I think you y'all three, y'all chemistry awesome, awesome, awesome,
awesome chemistry.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
Well, thank you. What's your thoughts on the draft? What
do you got? What do you think they should do
at twelve.

Speaker 9 (58:34):
Uh man, So just like you were just saying, if
they get one of the top prospects, that's gonna be.

Speaker 6 (58:40):
In need regardless, right right.

Speaker 9 (58:42):
I'm a big guehard fan man, and tell you I'm
kind of lost for words that I'm on the call
right now. But as far as emmitt'smisk comments a while back,
I want to maybe two weeks ago saying that they
better not get a running back because the line's not ready.
Maybe you already answered this. I haven't seen the show
in minute, because yeah, you know life, but I like

(59:03):
familiar opinions about that, you know.

Speaker 2 (59:07):
I I okay, thank you so much and appreciate, appreciate
the call. Luciano, good to hear from you, Louis, Call you, Louis,
thank you. H calls back, call us back for sure,
be a part of the show on a regular basis,
if you can. I get it. I understand that life happens.
I totally understand that. I I remembered Emmitt saying something. Again,

(59:28):
it might be out of context because I didn't exactly
hear it. I thought it was more about I don't
want them to draft the gent. I don't think they'll
know what to do with him. If that means the
offensive line's not ready for it, then that would have
been a better way to say it. And now if
you said it that way, then that's fine. It didn't
sound like that from my understanding of the of the quote. Again,

(59:50):
it could have been taken out of context, but it
was more they don't know how to handle a running
back like that, which it's kind of That would have
been an odd thing to say when you don't even
know who the coaching staff is. You don't know these guys,
you don't know what they're about, and you don't know
what they what they're planning on doing. But if your
argument is the offensive line is not really not ready

(01:00:10):
to take a running back to the next level, then
then I can you know, I can certainly understand that
that opinion and somewhat agree. So you know, I don't
think I don't think the running back is going to
be in play here at twelve. I don't know if
he'll be in play at forty four. But you know,
I'm totally on board with with drafting an offensive lineman.

(01:00:32):
I just you know it. It's one of those things.
It's just not like the Detroit Lions back about ten
to fifteen years ago when they took a wide receiver
like seemed like four years in a row. It's not
like that, like they it's time. It's time to We
just had the press conference for Zach and Tyron. It's

(01:00:53):
time to to get those guys again. Get those guys
you're not worried about. That's why I that's I want
to draft the lineman in the first round. I just
think it's the one position where you really wouldn't worry
about it. Maybe defensive end to defensive tackle. You get
a defensive tackle. You know, at this point in the
draft twelve, he's probably going to be a guy that

(01:01:14):
plays for a long time. But either way, I think
they're going to be in good shape.

Speaker 11 (01:01:17):
Here.

Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
Let's go to break real quick. I know I have
two colors on the line, but let's go to break
real quick on storyline. Come back after this.

This segment is presented by YETI officially licensed Yettie. Cowboys

here to go here on Cowboys storyline, the last storyline
before the draft. Stay tuned with the schedule. We might

(01:03:01):
I'd love to hear what you guys think about the
first round. So we're working on that. We will definitely
throw it out there on all the social media channels
if that does happen. Trying to still make that work.
All right, Let's go to a Zack in Atlanta. Zach,
what's up? That's pretty good? That's pretty good. I hope

(01:03:24):
everyone cut good stuff. Beams on it.

Speaker 25 (01:03:31):
My neurons are firing. Man, the serotonin is hidden.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
Did did y'all? Did y'all talk about that?

Speaker 25 (01:03:40):
We we had a little something going on.

Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
Still pretty cool for sure.

Speaker 25 (01:03:46):
Yeah, yeah, oh man, it's so excited. I'm going to quantify.
You know, the Cowboys champs of draft strategy. You got
one side that wants the juice, right, they want electricity
on the offense. Give me the receiver, give me gent
if he's there. You know, I want the juice. And

(01:04:08):
then you got other people saying the juice ain't worth
the squeeze. Give me the sauce, Give me an o
lineman the sauce. The flavors take a little time to marinade,
but you let it sit overnight and guess what, you
got a power packed flavor bomb that's gonna roll through
defenses for the next five years when the line jels
and I'm I'm in the middle, but I think I

(01:04:29):
think I'm going with the sauce man. You said it
before the break. We lost Tyron Smith last year, Zach
Martin just retired. I mean, that's that's significant. We felt,
we felt the drop off in line play, and even
with Guidon last year. Obviously we picked Guiden, he hasn't
really stepped up fully yet like you would want your

(01:04:52):
first round tackle to do. There's just there's a big
hole man. And uh, I mean you. I don't think
I think you can go wrong. I mean I'll be
doing cartwheels if we get somebody with some juice. You know,
I'll eat my broccoli and enjoy it if we get alignment.
But I don't think you can mess it up.

Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 25 (01:05:15):
Yeah, I think it's gonna be hard to mess up.
But the Cowboys like to think they're smarter than everybody.
Jerry said, we're one of the best drafting teams in
the league, which some picks. Yes, So I'm just I'm
here for it man, NFL Christmas. It's so much fun.
So that's all I got we'll shat again soon, man, right,

(01:05:38):
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:05:39):
I'll say this. I want to say this before the
show is over, so you know, I'd hate for anything
to happen and be like, Oh, I like that guy.
I'm going to say this. There's been a name that
has been so intriguing to me. And I can't say
that I've watched a lot of tape on him or whatever,
but Mike Green out of Marshall, there's something about this guy.

(01:06:02):
And now maybe he's not the biggest pass rusher, edge guy,
but I I don't know why. I just keep coming
back to that that that pick and I think he
was here for a thirty visit. I'm sure the Cowboys
have done all their homework on him and all that
he went to the Senior Bowl and all that, But
I that just seems like a guy that could have

(01:06:24):
a ton of upside. You know, maybe he's a DeMarcus
wear type. There's not a whole lot of guys that aren't,
you know, that are not in the Power five that
becomes Superstar, Hall of Famers and all that, and so
I'm not you know, every time one comes along and
you're like, oh, he could be that guy, I'm just
saying there's something intriguing about him for me, and so

(01:06:49):
I would be I think i'd be on board with
that if that was the pick. I don't think it
will be. I'm not saying that. I don't think it
will be, but you know it's happened before. All right,
let's go to Houston. We've got doctor Corey.

Speaker 12 (01:07:01):
Yeah, what's up man? How you doing? Brother? This is
my first time to the show. I've been.

Speaker 6 (01:07:09):
Doing.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
All right, welcome to the show. What do you got man?

Speaker 12 (01:07:13):
Well, real quick, I'm gonna do a quick i'm'a I
call it scattered showers discussion. So one of the things
I think has been missing with the Cowboys since Jimmy.
I hate to beat dead horses, but we've had a
lot of great things, but we haven't had the true
right head coach. A lot of great position coaches, but

(01:07:33):
it's like we get great players, not the right coaching system.
Then sometime we might have an okay coach but not
the right players with the system. So I think was
Shoddy Quiet has kept it wasn't everybody's favorite, but he's
been the behind the scenes understanding how football goes. I'm
a fan of Shoddy because I want the underdog kind

(01:07:55):
of guy that nobody's considering. I think he got the
right mindset to be a Cowboys coach. So finally, through
the McCarthy's and the Clapper as we used to call them,
I just feel good about it. So with the players now,
with Will McLay and how they pick, I think was great.

(01:08:15):
We're finally getting a coaching staff from the top that
knows better what to do with the players. We get
you can have great players, but if you don't play
them properly and the right players in the right system,
we're still going to lose. So with that being said,
I don't have a favorite. I think the Cowboys are
going to do what's good, whether it's go backwards and

(01:08:36):
get an extra pick or make a good pick. I
prefer beef, and I don't say it's been another first
round pick. We need the beef. We need a one tech,
we need some juice, and we need a receiver with
some pizzazz. Whether you got Jade Higgins, whether you got
Matthew Golden. I like tedor Rover McMillan or whatever his

(01:08:57):
name is, but we need some pizzaz as. We need
some jews, full running back. We need a run tech
and all the others were filling the gaps because we're
great at drafting. But I feel great now. Finally Will
McClay won't be just doing things. They'll put people in
the right system. So I'm I just feel great about

(01:09:19):
what we're doing. I don't have a bunch to say.
I just wanted to say I'm excited.

Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
Well good, I mean, thanks for the call, uh doctor
Corey in Houston, first time caller, and and you know,
I like that because you know you can tell that
that you're excited, You're buying in. You know, that's what
fans do. You want to this is the time of
your year. You want to believe about you know, you
want to have good, positive vibes. You know, Schottenheimer's never

(01:09:45):
won a game. It's never lost the game, never won
a game. They this this staff, they're all saying the
right things. I mean, I'm I'm with you. I I
we can feel the energy. They haven't won a game.
We'll see what happened. They could lose their first game
and everything. We'll be on this show and I'm sure
the vibes will be a little different. But I'm with

(01:10:05):
you though, I feel like like they they're doing the
right things. Now, time will tell, And I'm not wanted
to say, oh, we didn't have the right coach. I mean, listen,
there's three moments in this, in this franchise, in this
you know, from the Cowboys from six to fourteen, we're
talking about three plays. Okay, Romo dropped the snap in Seattle.

(01:10:27):
Do they win that game? If he doesn't, probably Parcels
a better coach now because he's got him in the
championship game, you know, or the divisional round for that
for that game, maybe, you know, I mean, if Creighton
catches that ball and he's running for a while and
they go win that game, as Wade Phillips a better coach,
and you know, is Garrett a better coach if Dez
caught it? Because he did. So, you know, I'm not

(01:10:49):
one to just say wow, they're you know, those weren't
good coaches. They were and this team they've had some
the chances, they haven't been good enough. They just haven't
been good enough to get to the championship game. Yeah,
coaching is a big part of it. The players are
a big part of it as well. So but I'm
with you. I'm excited about Schottenheimer and the coaching staff
and the energy and all that stuff. And I'm you

(01:11:11):
know this, there's a there. They've had as good of
an offseason as you can have. Let's see if they
can keep it going with the draft. All right, we're
not done yet. We got Lestern Minnesota, Lester, what's up.
I'm sure you're gonna tell me two positions that are important.

Speaker 4 (01:11:26):
Yeah, so we get a good to great offensive and
defensive line at the same time. This is what we got.
But I just want to I wanted to say I
concur with with with Woody of course, as he said
basically the same thing, and I didn't say one more
thing about that. It's just like if you were to

(01:11:48):
build a house. I mean, because the offensive way I
was taught, even though I played corner, the way I
was taught is that the offensive and defensive line the
foundation of your football team, any football team, pop worn
or whatever. So it's just like if you built a
three million dollar house on top of sand, guess what

(01:12:10):
it's gonna fall down. So that's why I always say that.
So to me, Dak and and CD and and and
all those the nice players like that, that's your house.
That's your three million dollar house, but you got to
have a foundation to support it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:12:30):
So anyway, anyway, uh, I'm sorry, I miss Woody. What
I was going to say about what I was going
to tell Woody is like everybody else said, he's a
Hall of Famer, et cetera and so forth. But basically
what I was the one thing, well, I remember a
lot of things, but one of the things that stood
out to me forward to the end of his career. Man,

(01:12:54):
those rest was really hard on that man. I mean
there was some calls. There was a lot of calls
that was very questionable. And I used to say that
because I watch every game now. I used to say that,
and people say, oh, you're just a cowboy fri you
don't know what you're talking about. I was like, come on, man,
he wouldn't even do anything right there. But anyway, as

(01:13:14):
far as the draft, you know what I'm gonna say,
we need a defensive lineman. And then I'm looking at
tar Leak, Williams, Grant or Derek Harmon. I think I
think Derek Harmon or I'm sorry, and or Tyree Williams.

(01:13:35):
We could probably get in the second round. I know
we need a lot of things. Nick. Of course, if
the Boise State guy there at twelve, take him, but
I don't think he's gonna be there.

Speaker 6 (01:13:50):
The receiver, we need a receiver as well.

Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
I really like me and a Dookah. I hope I'm
saying his name rb Buka Dokah whatever. Good. He's solid.
I mean he can he can catch, he can run route.

Speaker 6 (01:14:04):
He's solid.

Speaker 4 (01:14:05):
I think Jesse says something about him one day, but
he's slid. I've seen him.

Speaker 6 (01:14:10):
He's good.

Speaker 4 (01:14:11):
And of course I love speed Man Golden. Yeah, yep,
that's all I have for you. All right, So go Cowboys.
We got a lot of needs, but I'm looking at
the d tackle or if we don't get the Boys
of State guy, I'm looking at D tackle all right,

(01:14:31):
round second, at least second round.

Speaker 6 (01:14:33):
Go Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
All right, thanks, thanks for the call, Lester. Let's go
one more caller here, Casey in l A Casey.

Speaker 26 (01:14:42):
Nick, Happy NFL Draft, Eve, sir, how are you doing?
Pretty good? Completely stuffed? Can't wait for tomorrow. It feels
like Christmas. NFL does such a great job of making
the draft such a huge event. I mean it's gonna
dwarf the NBA playoffs in NHL, and it gives sickos

(01:15:02):
like myself complete offtise enjoy nice.

Speaker 7 (01:15:08):
Yeah, so.

Speaker 26 (01:15:10):
I think there's a number of ways we can go tomorrow.

Speaker 27 (01:15:15):
Hopefully they have something up the sleeve, you know, and
maybe no line then falls when you get the online
kind of feels like when you order a salad for dinner.
You don't really love it when it's happening, but a
couple of hours later you're feel pretty good about it.

Speaker 26 (01:15:30):
But for this draft meal, baby, I need a steak
or a burger. I need a playmaker. I want something
sexy here.

Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
What if what if you what if you got a
steak and you chopped it up and put it in
the salad, so then you kind of you kind of
had a salad, but it's a it's a you know,
it's still you got you know, and you got some
chicken in there or some steak. I mean, you got
some some juice, but you you're still eating salad, you know.
But what if you get an offensive lineman that's just
a badass. But still, but you know, I don't.

Speaker 26 (01:16:02):
Know, I'm not going to complain about that because if
we get back to running the ball like we did right.
You give Dak time to find the other weapons, then
I can definitely live with that.

Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
But that was a great analogy though though you did
it a good job though. I like that. I definitely
understand that. And and people they I get it. They
they want that. You know that sexy pick. Then again,
you know sexy. This doesn't seem like a word that's
that you need to throw in in football, you know
what I mean? Like, it's not let's go trenches, big guys. Uh,

(01:16:33):
that's that would be my pick. I said it several times,
but I promise you I will not be sitting here going, oh,
they got a receiver like that? That would be that'd
be fun too. I just don't think they're gonna They're
not gonna mess it up. They just can't.

Speaker 26 (01:16:47):
So and I trust that they've done the work. Will's
got the track record. Yeah, they've watched the film. So
it's gonna be a solid player wherever it goes. But
it's hard not to be stoked about someone like Tech McMillan.
But I fully I trust Will and company. So yeah,
it's gonna be awesome no matter what, no matter what.

Speaker 2 (01:17:08):
So all right, Casey, appreciate it. Thanks for the call.
We got to get it rolling here. You know, this morning,
I woke up like five in the morning and I
was just like, well, and I went back to sleep,
But I woke up at five in the morning, I
was like, man, I'll be on the storyline and in
about four and a half hours. And so I was
anticipating this show for some reason, just looking forward to it.

(01:17:28):
I knew it would be fun. Probably my favorite show
we've ever done. If maybe I'm just caught up in
the moment, but to have Darren Woodson here, to be
able to give him a present from Ali and from
the storyline for his birthday coming up in a couple
of days, that was great for Randy calling in, getting
a chance to talk to Darren and also giving us

(01:17:48):
an update on how he's doing. So great to hear
from him and all of you guys. Fifteen callers is amazing.
Always is. That's kind of like the new standard. We
get to fifteen. That's that's a great show, and it was.

Speaker 12 (01:18:02):
It was.

Speaker 2 (01:18:02):
It was a lot of fun. So thanks for everyone
for calling in. Stay tuned on the schedule, see if
we can get one in on Friday. We'd love to
hear from you guys on your reaction to the draft.
It's here. The draft will be here tomorrow, Draft Show Thursday,
all day, starting with that all day, but starting at
six o'clock an hour before the draft, it'll be going on.

(01:18:22):
It'll be all weekend for sure. Chris Bean will tell
you that as well. All your drafts coverage will be
it will be taking care of there. We'll be able
to talk to players press conference, so stay tuned to
the schedule for all of that. Cowboys Break We'll be
joining us here in about ten minutes, so stay tuned
for that as well. All right for everyone, Chris Beam,
I'm Nick Eatman. We'll see you next time on Storyline.

Speaker 1 (01:18:43):
This has been a production of Dallascowboys dot Com and
