Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up, Giants fans? Welcome to a Week seven Giants Hangout,
brought to you by crestraw On. My name is Madeline Burke.
Join as always by Russ Salzburg, Brandon London and Jonathan Casillas. Guys,
we got a lot of excitement coming off a week
six a win at home at MetLife Stadium over the
Eagles on Thursday Night Football. The weekend was great, but
(00:21):
we got to talk about Brandon Jackson Dart and Camp Scattaboo.
The two rookies really just taking this putting it on
their backs.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Yeah. Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
I mean these two kids have been exciting to watch,
whether it be the on the field, the playmaking ability
and then the little dancing and some of the stuff
antics that they do. I'll tell you what, the Giants
fans have have been been thirstying for a quarterback like
Jackson Dart, someone that can use his feet, make plays
with his mobility, throw the ball down the football field,
(00:50):
but also have a lot of swagger and moxie as well.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
So it's been fun watching these guys.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
You worry about a rookie hangover, but you worry about
that when it comes right now, you just ride the
wave of two exciting rookies.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah, two exciting rookies are great performance by the offense,
a great performance by the defense, to getting the first
takeaway of the season from Philadelphia Cordell flats with the
interception cause he is as a linebacker on the crew here.
I mean, how do you explain what we saw from
this Giants defense? Really never flinched against Philly.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
I think you said it. Look, Philly came out their
first half play against the Giants was pretty spot on.
They did what they wanted. Jalen Hurts look good, sa
Kwon Barkley first two runs with thirty yards, and after
those first ones, I was like, oh man, it's going
to be a long day.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
But it really wasn't.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
The Giants stepped up, you know, as the game progressed on. Look,
they're feeding off of these guys on offense. Man, it
feels different, guys. I don't know if you guys feel it,
but it feels different. It looks different. I think the
Carter I do Carter scatterable dark Like these young guys, man,
(01:54):
they they're ignoring the past. They're they're not stuck in
the old you know, same old Giant. They don't want
no parts of that, and no one else does either.
They're like, we've had enough. We got a new guy
running the show at Jackson Dark. He's creative, he's fiery,
he doesn't give a f and everybody feels it. Guys,
(02:14):
not just the offensive guys, the defensive guys too. So
you've seen these guys rally around their quarterback on defense.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah. I like what you said though, too. It's like
this is a new group, this is a new energy.
They're not feeling the negativity of the struggles of Giants
teams past, and they're like, hey, we weren't there. This
is our our team, this is our unit, this is
our journey in Russ. I mean, when you look at
the way they played on Thursday Night football, especially considering
there's a lot of next man up, I mean, elite
neighbors out for the season. Darius Slayton didn't play with
(02:43):
the hamstring injury, John Michael Schmidt went out early in
the game with a concussion. Yet they still got it done.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Russ.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
Yeah, not only did they get it done, but you know,
we always JC kind of brought it up here. They're
playing complementary football, but they're also thinking complimentary. I think
the defense draws energy off of watching Jackson, Dart and
camp Scatibo. I believe it's that kind of thing. And
(03:13):
you know we were talking about you were talking about
the defense, Jacy. Also, Cavon has really come into his
own he is playing, he has taken it no cliche intended,
but he has taken his game to the next level.
But I also think it's a combination of they're all
complementing to each other. Listen Burns, Thibodeaux, Carter. I mean,
(03:36):
that's what to be excited about. And you know you
have decks in the middle. It's all you know, the
hip bones connected to the knee bone and thigh ball.
It really is all that. But I think they're all
drawing the energy. And you guys brought it up as
well about people don't understand that when they talk about
teams and histories. Of course, these new guys are part
(04:00):
of the Giants' new history. But Jackson brought it up
in a postgame after they won, like, yeah, we know
that there's negativity, but that doesn't affect us. We weren't
here for that. Let's go and move forward. That's what
it's about. I mean, they don't know what happened ten
years ago. Who was on a team. They don't even
know who was coaching ten years ago. They were kids
(04:22):
in school, you know. So it's like, this is our team,
this is our teammates, this is what we have. Let's
move forward.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, And speaking of moving forward, the Giants are turning
the page to Denver. They're heading to the Mile High
City to play the Broncos in Week seven. Giants coming
off Thursday Night football, of course, so they've got a
little bit of extra rests going into this. Broncos coming
off a game in London against the Jets in which
they narrowly beat the Jets. But we did see the
Broncos put nine sacks on Justin Fields. This is a
(04:53):
team that leads the league handily in getting after the
quarterback over thirty sacks. I want to say so far
this point in the season, because he is when you
look at what that pass rush brings, how do you
protect Jackson Dark You.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
Got to attack the pass rush. You know, you can't
get into a situation where you know, third down is
becoming predictable where Nick Bedito and company is just gonna
line up with that great cornerback out there, and Patrick
Satan locking guys up on third and long. That benefits
the defense. So how do you attack that by winning
on first and second down, having a solid run game,
(05:26):
creating plays on first and second down to go ahead,
and make those third downs a lot more manageable, where
those talented pass rushers and on Denver is not just
pinning their ears back. And it's not one guy, it's
not just Benito. Everybody's adding into the sack party. And
you have to do a good job and attacking this offense,
getting them on their heels early in the game. And
(05:48):
that's the thing. The Giants have been doing that even
New Orleans. Of course it didn't go well at the end,
but early on they were scoring points. The Giants were
scoring points, The Giants were getting the ball down the field,
the Giants were having explosives early in the offense. That's
how you keep a defense on their heels. And if
you consistently can do that and you can run the
(06:08):
ball convert on third downs. Bread Zone has been good
for the Giants the last couple of weeks. The sky's
the limit for them. It's more about what the Giants do,
less about what Denver does. Of course, I think you
got to protect the quarterback. But it starts on first
and second down.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
And also perhaps some of it too, is keeping that
run game going with not just Dart and Scataboo, but
maybe more Tracy too.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
Russ, Well, yeah, but I don't know what we're gonna
see from Tracy yet. I guess you know matter and
we'll find out more tomorrow. Just you know how healthy
he is. But I think you know you're gonna ride
the hot horse. And you know one thing about Scatibot.
You know, there's a big difference, let's say, on going
second and seven or second and six as opposed to
(06:52):
second and ten or second and nine. When Scatabo gets
hit he's driving that extra one two three yards. That
is a signific thinking difference in a running game. You know,
you can do that little screen pass as opposed to
the second and long all the time. And you know,
we used to see that in the past and we're
not seeing that now, and that's why it's a lot
more manageable. So I think, listen, I love to see Tracy,
(07:17):
you know, see more of him, but at the same time,
I don't want to see less of Scatabo right now,
You're right, the hot horse. He's giving you the energy.
I mean he he's a Clydesdale with speed back there.
I mean he just ramming through and it's good to
see and everybody feeds off it.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
He's like a pony size though.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
He's like a pony right here, right.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Dropping all these pony references. Going up against the Broncos.
I'm here for it. I'm here for it. And that
man can get some yards after contact, for sure. The
offense seems like it's in good standing when Cam Scataboo
is on the field, but when the Giants defense is
on the field, Brandon, what's the key to getting after
bone Nicks and pressuring him making sure that that Broncos
(08:01):
offense doesn't kind of get things going.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
One second, just to touch up on Jackson Dart in
this offense facing the blitz, I think they did a
great job.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Against the Eagles. The Eagles.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
I think the Eagles was a great game to have
going into a Denver with a Broncos team that blitzed
justin fields fifty eight point five percent of the time.
If you looked at the second and eights to third
and eights, they were built in hot reads.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Jackson Dart knew.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Exactly where to go with the football, So that's something
to look at going into this Bronco games. But to
flip it and talk about the Giants defense and what
they need to do to get after bow Knicks stop
the run. I know we said it's cliche, but bow
Knicks didn't look good at all. He didn't look comfortable
at all against the Jets defense. That's the bottom defense
(08:46):
in the NFL. So if you can pile up stop
the run and now flip it and get bow Knicks
in some third and eight, third and long pluses, now
you're going to have a chance to kind of rattle
him and force him to throw a football that he
doesn't want to because you're not going up against receivers
like the Philadelphia Eagles receivers.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
No disrespect to Courtland Sutton.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Where no slouche, but he is not aj.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Brown at Devonti Smith. I lived in Denver for three years.
I got the most respect in the world for Suddy.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
And how he bounced back after injury after injury and
still been able to put up a thousand yards. But
I'm okay leaving Paulson. No diego one on one with
court and Sutton over. I would leave him one on
one on the AJ Brown.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
All right, I'm here for it.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
We got a lot of excitement coming up in this
one week seven Giants Broncos. But before we look at
this one's game any further, let's take a look into
some trivia of Giants Broncos pass Russ. What do you
got for us today?
Speaker 5 (09:47):
Well?
Speaker 6 (09:47):
What do you know?
Speaker 5 (09:48):
What do you say? Everybody? Well, let's let's talk about this.
Back in two thousand and five at Giants Stadium, the
Giants defeated the Broncos by the score of twenty four
twenty three on a touchdown with five seconds left. Name
the three Giants who scored touchdowns in that game. Name
(10:10):
the three Giants, and go ahead, name the three Giants.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
I want to go Jeremy Shaky on one going tiki? What?
Speaker 5 (10:23):
No, Shaki, no tiki?
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Yes, that's one? All right?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Plax?
Speaker 5 (10:30):
Was that coming on? You guys should get there yet?
Speaker 6 (10:33):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Yeah, no, not yet? Well you're five plats?
Speaker 5 (10:36):
Is there.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
One of them?
Speaker 6 (10:39):
Or no?
Speaker 5 (10:39):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Okay, got on? All right, so we got plas.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
We got to be a defensive guy. No, no, no,
And you should know this was it. Brandon London, writing
an answers you.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
Madeline, you should know this man? Yes, the only one
on the Giant quarter pass in that game, which I
forget who mentioned it? It was Jeremy Shacky not a touchdown.
But who was uh Shaki? Who caught the only four
(11:18):
Giants caught passes in that game?
Speaker 1 (11:20):
I gotta say, Russ, this week's episode of what do
you Know?
Speaker 2 (11:23):
What do you say?
Speaker 1 (11:24):
This might be a record time for us?
Speaker 5 (11:26):
Yeah? I think so too. But since you're so good,
and since you know you're in now, you're a miss
smarty pants? Who was the quarterback? Who was the quarterback
for the Broncos that game.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
For the Broncos in two thousand and five?
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Who said that?
Speaker 6 (11:43):
J J C?
Speaker 2 (11:45):
You got it?
Speaker 5 (11:47):
Jake Plumber.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Let's go with love that for us?
Speaker 5 (11:53):
All right?
Speaker 2 (11:53):
What do you know?
Speaker 1 (11:53):
What do you say? Russ? Always bringing the good trivia
wee get in week out. Speaking of trivia, another bit
of trivia, not really kind of obvious Giants Broncos. You
think of Eli and Peyton Manning. You know, back in
twenty thirteen the Manning Brothers was the third Manning Bowl
game Eli versus Peyton when the Giants played the Broncos
(12:14):
makes us think they're like some siblings in the world
of sports. Who are some of the greatest sibling athletes
that you can think of in the sports universe?
Speaker 5 (12:25):
All sports? All sports? Well, I mean, boy, how about
the DiMaggio brothers, Joe Dom and Vince. I mean Dom
played all his career with the Red Sox. Joe of
course with the Yankees. Talk about a rivalry, I mean,
I mean Tiki and Ronde Shannon Sharp. Yeah, and baseball
(12:48):
there's tons of them. I can think of going back,
the brothers Felipe, Maddy and Hey seuss.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Ye Rude Attador and all the Rudinettadors in baseball. There's
a lot of them.
Speaker 6 (13:01):
The brothers Football, the Joneses, Chris Jones there is another one,
and then the Bones Jones, Josh Challenge, Jones, Jones.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
And JJ and t J Watt, Yeah, j Travis and
Jason Kelcey, Jason Kelsey.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Right, of course, we.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
Got the Manning brothers. What's that four Super Bowl MVPs
between them? Is that four Super MVPs?
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Or is it just three?
Speaker 4 (13:28):
Because did Eli went? I mean she could does Peyton
win the second time around for Denver?
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Mm hm oh, yeah, the Panthers, right, they beat the Panthers.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
I got T J and J J. Watt, I got
the Wisconsin guys. I got my mccordy twins. Right, Four
super bowls between the brothers. And I want to throw
in another pair of brothers from another sport that dominated
their sport for a while, the Clitchko brothers. Yeah, Vladimir
and Bally clinch Goo the heavyweight titles for two whole
(14:02):
years between the brothers.
Speaker 5 (14:03):
There's one going on right now. I don't know how
many of you are big hockey fans, but there's one
going on right now currently, the Kachuck brothers, Brady and Matt.
You know, that's a two time They just won the
Stanley Cup the last two years, you know with Florida
and Matt play. That's Matt and Brady plays in Ottawa.
They were on Team USA in the Four Nations tournaments.
(14:25):
So that's you know, that's another good one. I mean,
that's been a lot of sibling good.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Williams sisters, yes see Pearson your rundown said brothers, but
the Williams sisters is a whole new we got. Let's
go right.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
Definitely the greatest siblings for sure, Serena and Venus. You
got thirty Grand Slam singles, fourteen doubles if I'm not mistaken,
three gold three gold medals for the Olympics. I mean,
I don't think there's nobody really close to that doing
the world right, world renowned siblings.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Yeah, they have to be top absolutely, yeah, world. I'm
thinking right here in our backyard.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
I don't know a lot of y'all are Rangers fans,
may even be Islanders fans. But what about the Devil's
Jack and Luke Cues They get to play together on
the same team.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
That.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
Oh yeah, and the other brothers a captain of Vancouver quinnu.
So that's that's a really good rabbit. You're right, good job,
good job, I like it.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Let's go Theombo brothers. Now three of them on the
Milwaukee roster them, Yeah, three and one squad.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
And co.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
That's so funny, dominating. Listen, the family ties are strong
and this one love to see it. Giants Broncos Week seven, Sunday,
four pm, Slate h a little over under before we
wrap up this show, Broncos Giants over Unders and start
with Jackson Dart over Under two and a half total
(16:02):
touchdowns in the Mile High City for Jackson Dart Casius, What.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
Do you got. I think two would have been a
better number. I think he'd be at two, So I'm
gonna go under two and a half nothing against him.
I think Denver's defense is really good. Giants are gonna
have to take whatever they can get. I think the
ground game is going to be a part of it,
so maybe a little bit less of dark, you know,
(16:28):
especially in the scoring areas. I don't know about the
big plays happening against Denver's defense, you know, so maybe
some field goals, maybe not as many touchdowns for Dart.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
So I'm going under Russ.
Speaker 5 (16:42):
I tend to agree. I'm just trying to visualize what
I got to see last week. I think that Denver defense,
Jackson's been wonderful at of something at a nothing and
scrambling and making something happen. I don't know if we'll
be as good or successful at it this week against
that team. I think he'll he'll do well. I like
(17:04):
the Giant Giants this week in Denver. But I'm gonna
go with Now, when you say a touchdown, you're talking
past or run correct either way, you know what I'm
gonna be brave and go over.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Let's I'm here for I'm here for Brandon, what you got,
I'm gonna be bullish in this market.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
I'm going over. I think there's plays.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
Look, Patrick Curtain is a great corner, but I think
there are plays to be made against this blitz. And again,
I feel like the Eagles game prepared him or prepares
for this game. And then you got little Jordan Humphrey
who's going back to Denver. He's got a little chip
on his shoulder because he didn't he didn't get the
targets that he wanted out there. He and Jackson Dark
(17:48):
got a little thing going. I'm gonna I'm gonna go over.
I'm gonna go over on this one. I think he
throws for two runs for one.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
I think it really depends on the type of gamely
see right, if it ends up being so similar to
this Broncos Jets game we saw last week, or it
was more of a defensive showdown than clearly the under
But I do see the Giants scoring on the opening
possession again in this one. So there's one.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Points off turnovers, there's two.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
There we go Okay, we're going both. Let's swing for it.
Let's hit the over on that one. I'm here for it.
Let's talk about Wandelle Robinson Brandon as a wide receiver
in the chat. I'm going to you on this first
over under six receptions for Wandell.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
I'm gonna go over on this one because he's got
to be the security blanket again.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
We're talking blitz, We're talking getting the ball.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
Out of his hands, fast side adjustments, quick screens, orbit
motions that you get you into like a jet sweep
or something which is a catch.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
A jet sweep is a catch. So I'm finding I'm
thinking they're going to find.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
The ways to get Wandlle Robinson in space, and by
doing that you can shorten the throws by getting him
little intermediate routes. I think this is going to be
his day where he gets about seven plus eight plus catches.
How many yards, I don't know, but at least seven
to eight catches.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Russ, what do you got, boy?
Speaker 5 (19:10):
I think I think it's right around six. But you know,
the reason I'm kind of hesitant about going on the
over is simply because I think, you know, Uh, Brandon,
the guy we like a whole lot. I think he's
gonna have a big day, is theo Johnson. I think
the right ends are gonna have a lot to do
with this game. So I think it's right about the
(19:34):
number at six. I'm going with six.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
That's the push.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
I'm gonna go. And I don't want to be a
Debbie downer. I just think that the game is going
to go to a little bit differently. And and if
I'm Denver thinking on defense, it's like who do I
have to account for? Especially on third down? I'm gonna
put my focus on Wandale right So I think with Russ,
I think the tight ends will have a big game.
I think will maybe coming to the fact a little
(20:03):
bit more, the checkdown would be available a little bit more.
And I think they're gonna be right around five or six.
And Brandon, you talked about the Jet sweep being a
forward pass. I'm calling it a backwards and off from
the from the under underneath the center Jets sweep. So
it's gonna be a run. It's gonna take him from
possibly six to five. I don't know. I'm just making
(20:25):
it up, guys, but I do think Wandell is going
to be an intro focus for the Giants. But I
think Denver is going to try to do a good
job and taking him away.
Speaker 5 (20:35):
Yeah, Jonathan, repeat that again for me, because I need
like a drama mean pill, because I got a little
car sick on the way you would take them with
a backward and a forward and everything.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
Because he said a jet sleep is a forward pass,
but it's only a forward pass from the gun if
I'm not mistaken, right, b Because if you're under center
and you turn around, that's a run.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
How often do we see Jackson Dart under center?
Speaker 4 (20:58):
He's almost always in the guy I got you, I
got you, but maybe might switch it up.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
See what happened with what had.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Happened was I'm gonna I'm gonna kind of agree with
you there though, and take the under not because I
don't believe in one dale, just because I believe that
they're going to be spreading.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
The ball around.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
We're gonna see THEO Johnson. We're gonna see cam Skataboo,
you know, the Tasmanian Sun devil getting amongst it. And
I think we're gonna see all of that because see
this cat like, let me just make myself known in there.
I like, I like the fact that your Cat is
just showing that she agrees with me on that one
as well. M mmmmm, okay, defense, Right, we saw the
(21:42):
turnover chest used last week. Cordell flat got one takeaway.
Put it in the chest over under half a takeaway?
Russ in week seven?
Speaker 5 (21:51):
What do you got half a takeaway?
Speaker 2 (21:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (21:55):
So do we have one or zero?
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Do the Giants have one or zero? I'll go with one.
I'll go with one. Yeah, that's yeah, let's give them
a takeaway.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
Riveting explanation there, Russell.
Speaker 5 (22:11):
Oh no, I mean you know, because listen, that's a team.
I mean, look, Jonathan, you play defense. I don't care
what anybody says. Part of takeaways is luck, part of
it being in the right place at the right time,
you know. I mean, what was the game a couple
of games ago. I forget when when Bobby Okaak had it,
(22:33):
it bounced and the whole shot it back. I mean,
so a lot of it on takeaways is luck. This
is a good defense. I think the Giants can take
get one. So I'll say, yes, Brandon, I think it
has to be.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
I mean, it has to be the over because I
think they have to get to to win this football game.
Because you could get ten points off of turnovers right there,
You're gonna need a ten points in the defensive.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
In the defense, it's a battle. Like we all agreed
this football can be.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Plus, Brian Burns is talking about not putting Jackson darr
in the position to where he has to play savior
type football since you can give them a short field
that breeds that momentum. So the two rookies can kind
of do their things. So it has to be I'm
feeling it has to be the over. I'll take the over.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
I'm with you. Yeah, I'm with Brandon. It has to
be the over. That's the way the Giants win this game.
That's the way you beat a Sean Payton, you know,
coach team. You know that it's always preaching takeaways, always
preaching protecting the football. In order for you to mess
that up, you have to take the ball away right,
punching the ball out, getting your hat, you know, on
(23:41):
the ball, when you're going for tackles right, holding the
guy up, hitting a little peanut tim and punch right.
I think the route to success is the Giants protecting
the football and then also taking the football away from
his Denver.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
Team real quick. Mattling for the group, for everybody, for
the group chat.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
I think JC, since you're the defensive guy, thinking the
Giants defense is looking at this is a statement game themselves,
like this has to you have to be in that
meeting room, that defensive meeting room right now, Like forget
all the hype that's on the offensive side of the ball.
You know what, the rookie, you could get excited, then
the next second a rookie can mess up.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
That's part of it.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
But if you're on the defense, the majority of the
veterans are on the defensive side of the football. The
guys who are up for payd A's and guys who
are up for Pro Bowls and Defensive Player of the
Years are on the defensive side of the football. So
I'm thinking they're like, hey, this is our statement game
to go into Denver, into that stadium and to beat
a Sean Payton coach team.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
And listen real quick.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
Sorry, Rush, But like Dexter Lawrence, we all know how
great he is, how he's getting doubled every game. We
haven't seen the dominant game from Dexter. And I'm thinking
in my head, like I know it's coming. I think
it's going to come in Denver. He's a guy that
you know throughout his tenure, throughout for the Giants career,
the Giants have been up and down. When losses, he's
(25:00):
been steady. He's the guy that you can count on
regardless of double teams. He just haven't had that dominant
effort in any contest this year. I think it happens
against Denver. He's the guy that's gonna make the difference,
like Brandon said, defensively for the Giants.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
So that Chargers game where he was double team, put
a hand up, got the ball and ran it back,
almost scored a six six in that one. That was
pretty I mean, he's at moments, but.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
You're right, not like with the whole body of work
where we're just like wow, Dexter, like whoa, you know,
like the whole game. Because I remember like watching the
games with Paulatino and I'm watching the first drive of
the game and I'm like, oh, Dexter, he's gonna have
a great day today. You know, we haven't seen that
type of Okay, this is a Dexter game, you know,
(25:43):
which is he can do it at any time, even
though it's four hands on him at all times. But
I want to see that that output because that's what
the Giants need against a team like Denver.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
Yeah, I agree with that. Also, you know, Dexter and
Brian Burns or your leaders on defense, and I'm sure
they had talking to the entire defense. Okay, we had
a good game, but you know what, that was old news.
Let's take care of business and now we need something
to build on. And just what you said earlier, we
want to put Jackson Dott in a position where he's not,
(26:14):
you know, starting drives from his own ten yard line. Yeah,
I agree with that. I think the defense it is
a statement game for them. I think that's the attitude
that they're taking.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
Let's go and mean business.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
And Brian Burns has been making his statement too. A
second in the league with seven sacks and counting already,
the Giants are going to need to go in this
one and say, hey, Thursday Night football wasn't an anomaly.
This is who we are. And Giants Broncos Week seven
in Denver, we'll see how roles. That's that's a wrap
for a Week seven Giants Hangout brought to you by
(26:46):
Crestaurant for Brandon London Jonathan Casillas and Russ Salzburg. I'm
Madeline Burke will see next time.
