Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome into a Week eight Giants hangout, brought to you
by crester On. My name is Madeline Burke, joined as
always by Russ Salzburg, Brandon London, and Jonathan Cassias, and guys,
the elephant in the room. We got to talk about
Week seven. It was a heartbreaker in Denver. The Mile
High City Giants had a big lead but ended up
losing it on a game winning Will Lett's walk off
field goal. So much more went into that story though
(00:22):
Cassias as a defensive player in the room. Here, I'm
going to start with you what happened in that fourth quarter?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
A lot, a lot happened, and you guys got on
me about those fifty two forty nine scores with the
Saints and the Giants. This is probably more embarrassing, you know,
like you shut out a team, you know, a top
team in the NFL. Of course they're you know, reveled
about their defense, but they've won games because how their
offense can score and win games at the end, right,
(00:54):
it was a complete, I think meltdown on all three phases.
And we recompliment the Giants about how they played complimentary football,
but I think it was the opposite they played complimentary
football at the end to lose. Right, It was a
combination of I think, you know, not executing certain things
on offense. Yes, they scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter,
(01:14):
but I think a couple times where it was towards
the end, the last couple possessions where they probably chose
to pass over a run or didn't execute the play
that they could have and should have, and Denver had
that extra time out, you know, and then the momentum
the defense couldn't stop the momentum. The same type of
(01:35):
defensive softness I could say that we saw against Dallas
late in that game. We saw again, we saw again,
and then of course got to make you kicks, bro,
you know, like you got to make you kicks. It's
extra points. These are not fifty five, six, sixty our
field goals. These are extra points. These are chip ins.
So it was a combination of not just one, not
(01:58):
just the defense given up thirty three points, the combination
of all three facets which won the game against the
Eagles couple weeks ago. They lost the game as a
collective unit in that fourth quarter.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, and to your point, those two miss Pat's really
come down to it and you know, Russ, we were
talking about that before we got on the air. It's
of course not only on that, but it was a factor.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Well without question. You know, first of all, let me
just say this. I'm sure you, me, all of us
here talking on the hangout, and everybody at home was
feeling the same way if you were a Giants fan
for three quarters. We're saying to ourselves, this is what
we wanted. This was absolute gold. We are here, we
have arrived, we have turned the corner. The future looks right.
(02:41):
And then, to use the old cliche, you got to
remember to play sixty minutes of football, not fifty nine minutes,
not fifty nine point fifty nine seconds. You have to
play fifty play sixty minutes of football. And I don't care.
You're up nineteen nothing, twenty six eight with X amount
of minutes ago. You got to win the game. Now,
you brought up a good point, Madeline talking about the
(03:04):
extra points. That clearly was a factor. But some of
the people in that game, so after he misses his
first extra point and it's thirteen to nothing, they score again,
and then people are talking, I don't understand why is
Brian Dable going for two. It's too early to try
and make that point. Those points back. Let me tell
(03:24):
you something, did anybody stop to think maybe something else
was on Brian Dabeles mind. He didn't say it, and
I don't think he will say it. But if we
all remember the week before when they beat up the Eagles,
there was a missed extra point in that game. So
there's one in that game, his first one in this game.
And then Dabe's saying to himself, you know what, we
(03:46):
got this problem here. Maybe I just got a better
chance with the two point because I don't want him
to miss again. So he didn't miss that time he missed.
At the end of the game, it is what it is.
That's as jac said, it's got to be correc You know,
this is the NFL. It's not the little Sisters of
the poor. It's not high school, it's not college. You
(04:06):
got to make those kicks.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Yeah, And to his credit though, Jude after the game
acknowledgizes that I'm a professional kicker. I got to make
the kicks, Brandon. When you look at the way the
offense played though to start this game, I mean, there's
a lot to hang your hat on. If you're a
Giants fan. Yeah, it's a heartbreaking loss. But putting up
thirty two points against that Denver defense.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Oh absolutely, and after you know, kind of taking shots
through Twitter and taking shots through the media, going back.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
And forth with that.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
So the fact that they were able to go out
there and still hang thirty two on this team, Yeah,
that's enough to kind of hold your head high for
that part of the football game. And you saw Jonathan
Cooper give Jackson Dart his flowers in his respect after
the game.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
That's a great job. But I'm you know, I'm with
I'm with Russ.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
And these guys on you know, for the it's kind
of I'm looking at it from offensive and point to
where it's like, we gotta close this thing out. You know,
when you're in that meeting room with Plexico Burris, a
Moni Tumor and those guys, you got an opportunity to. Yeah,
people are gonna say they should have ran the football,
but with the receivers they have in that room, the
tight ends that were having the game that they had,
(05:15):
we're gonna be like, no, Dave's no, Kevin Gilbride put
that ball into the air, because we're gonna catch this thing.
Speaker 5 (05:21):
Get the first down.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
We're gonna milk this clock and we're gonna end on
Victor reformation.
Speaker 5 (05:25):
But you know what, shame on, Shame on everybody, from.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
The players to us to the fan base for getting
all hype for three quarters and not finishing.
Speaker 5 (05:35):
Ye not not, That's shame on everybody.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
And that just tells you where the state of Giants
football is, not only from player wise, but for the
fans as well, to where we don't have that mentality
of the Michael Strahan stomped them out just yet.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
We were, and especially me, I was getting I was
I was ready to take my son to the baby shit.
I was going out that night. Ye see, I was
ready to go out.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
But at the same at the end of the day,
as athletes, as professional athletes and russ you've been around
this team, you've covered this game for such a such
a long time. We know in the NFL there is
no such thing as game over into that clock has
four zeros on it. So at the end of the day,
from an offensive standpoint, and talk with David Tyree yesterday,
as an offense, we're gonna put it on our sales
(06:21):
because we put the defense in that situation Hey, and
that's what.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
You that's what you have to do. Though, you have
to do that. Mallan talked about Jude after. I love
the accountability. He's like, I'm a professional kicker. I'm not
making no excuses. There was whatever the operations was that
Dave Boss spoke about, I'm a professional kicker. Same thing
as a defender. Right, you talked about the offense. I'm
gonna talk about the defense. They got beat the same
(06:46):
way they got beat prior. Right, people getting outside on leverage, right,
people getting outside of those defensive backs getting blocked. Right,
then all you have to do is basically stay outside
to force it back to.
Speaker 6 (06:57):
The defense back.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
We've seen that, not even in the losses. We've seen
that every week. These things have to be corrected.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Be Brian Burns said it best. Everybody coming to Brian.
Bryan said, Hey, you can blame whoever you want. It's
on us where the players. They're out there get the
job done. We are the players. That's it. I mean
they said for three quarters, we're all like, I mean,
you're right ready to go out and party. I mean,
this is like everything we've been waiting for. Oh, they're
(07:27):
going to get killed in Denver blah blah blah, and
they're playing that kind of game. They had Denver the
Broncos on the ropes in their own thematical building and
they just let it, oh, let it get away, wipe
the old saying. In an alley fight, you got to
keep your foot on the throat of the person you
have down. And they didn't do that. That's what not.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
They did not. They let them off the hook. And
you know what, you want to crown up. The Broncos
are who we thought they were. But the Giants are
going to be turning the page because you know what,
there's a whole other game this week. And you know
your point too. It's not just it's execution. Andrew Thomas
talked about this earlier this week. He said, there's no
secret sauce to winning. You just got to execute and
(08:09):
sometimes you know whether whatever that may be, you got
to find a way to execute into to maintain that
for sixty minutes, we got a little bit of deja.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Vu, real quick, real quick, mat before you move on,
before you got on. There is a secret sauce, they
just haven't showed it yet. It's called composure and poise.
Those are the two things that because at the end
of the day, like they kind of walked away from
the Eagles, most games are going to be competitive in
the fourth quarter, right, they were walking away from Denver.
(08:39):
But Denver's an NFL team, They're a good NFL team
with a great head coach.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
They're gonna they just did this to the Eagles too
a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
So composure and poise that that is the secret sauce.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
That's the secret sauce that these guys got to figure
out that when you go to the Philadelphia they get they.
Speaker 6 (08:56):
Canna remember, they can remember it just happened.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
You have to have composure points, Madeline. I know you
want to get to this point. Let me just make
this quick point because Jac's talking about composure. If we're
going to talk about composure, then we got to give
one guy a lot of credit for a composure and
that is your young quarterback Jackson d fourth and nineteen.
After that, after the interception scored fourth and nineteen, Yeah,
(09:24):
and nineteen, that young man steps back and nails a
first down. Are you kidding?
Speaker 1 (09:29):
I mean, and get the Rubisser call. Yeah, No, incredible
composure from him. Also got to give a little hat
tip to Dane Belton, who steps in for the injured
Javon Holland played incredible coverage, including that goal line Big year. Uh,
you know, you got to give some flowers around. There's
a lot of flowers to be given, but it's harder
(09:51):
to do so coming off a loss. And it's your point,
we have seen Denver do this before. Denver just did
this to the Eagles a couple of weeks ago. They
were down in the fourth, they came back and mounted
a win. Talk about short term memory. We got to remember,
but also forget, turn the page, move forward. Got a
little deja vous with the Eagles this week. We just
(10:12):
saw them two weeks ago at MetLife Stadium. Now going
to the link, you guys all know how interesting that
environment can be.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
It's a word that's an interesting word. Interesting.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
It's a unique game day experience in the ill adelf
But Brandon, you know when you look at this, is
this the same approach when you look at this Eagles
team that's going to be number one, remembering the Thursday
night football lost, but number two coming off a game
it was Jalen Hurts. It's just showing his best work
(10:44):
as a pass or a perfect passer ratings sling in it.
It's a very different identity for this Eagles team what
we saw last week.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
Yeah, this is going to be the biggest test for
the Giants, I believe this year, because they're going to
have to go out and punch your team in the mouth.
They're gonna the Eagles. They're going to remember everything Kavon
said after the game. They're gonna remember that hurt hopping
back on the bus going down I ninety five back
to to Philly about.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Losing to a team that you feel as little bro
and inferior to you.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
So they're gonna come out and try and bring BTA
from the jump. The Giants, We're gonna understand, Russ JC.
We're going to understand where the mindset or the mind
frame of this team coming off of this loss is.
Early in the game, in the first couple of possessions,
if you see a hangover kind of creep into their
level of play and their energy to start this game,
(11:35):
then that means that we have not turned that page, Russ.
That means that we're not even close to being able
to say it with our chest to be like, Okay,
this is a different Giants team. So whoever those leaders
are in that locker room, jac As you know you
got twenty four hours is up.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
Yeah, blush it. I'm surprised we even talking about it
here on the hangout. Well, we have to. But at
the end of the day that has to be.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
But at the end of the day, it's something to
where it's like, if I'm Jackson Dart, this is my
moment to really show that I am a leader on
this team.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
I go over to the defense, I go.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
Over to our kickers, punters, everybody, and be like, I
got your back, you got my back because now you're
going on the road again to an even more hostile
environment than in power Field against the division rival, and
you have a chance to kind of create some sort
of momentum again.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
So this is a huge one from the Giants, but
all eyes are going to be on their first couple series.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
For me well and to that point though too the
way you know it's a huge one, but because he
is defensively, the way these teams match up, you know,
the Giants' strength is against the pass. Right defensively, Eagles
run game has been not what it used to be,
and I think a lot of that too. You remember TJ. Pagnetti,
(12:50):
the run game coordinator. He went with Kellen Moore to
New Orleans and we have seen a very different run
game in this Eagles team. So the way the Giants
defense matches up, is this a fake favorable? Obviously it's
a it's a challenging opponent. But how do you see
that the way this defense matches up with the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Well, it's interesting because you know, given that the Eagles
are in the division, I try to pay attention to them,
especially because we've played them twice, you know, going on
twice in the last two and a half weeks, So
you know, I'm definitely paying attention to what they're doing
all year. And it's almost like they're being a little
more passed happy first right.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
And five rushing yards last week.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
You know, I don't know if that's the formula for them,
if that would, I mean, they're still winning games. They're
with five and two, right, they're five and two, So
they're still winning games. But don't think that sa Quond
won't be a big part of their game plan. I
think they're going to look back Becau. Remember the first
two plays of the Eagles game, taekwon Barkley had two
runs for thirty yards.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
You know.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
So I'm not saying they're going to just try to
run the ball and force it. I don't think that's
the Philly team. I think they're gonna take whatever the
defense gives them. But I do think the mindset going
into the Giants game is gonna be we need to
run the ball on these guys because when you sit
back and pass the ball against this tremendous pass rush,
it causes us a lot of problems. And Philly with
(14:16):
how they win games is they don't turn the ball
over and they dominate the time of possession. And if
they can do that like they did against Minnesota, but
I would say they dominate time possess, but they did
get two turnovers, and it doesn't matter how they win.
They need to win that turnover battle and they need
to dominate whether it's through the air or through the ground,
(14:37):
because this is not a one dimensional team. Hurts get
a lot of slack because he doesn't throw the ball.
But you saw what he did on Sunday.
Speaker 6 (14:45):
He torched them.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
He torched the Patkins. And it wasn't more, it wasn't
like picking them apart. It was the big plays. And
we know Brandon in this day and age of twenty
twenty five, you don't have to have a great statistical
game as a quarterback. If you got a big player,
you can get a win out, you can get points
on the board, you can change the game, you can
change them men of the game. The Giants have to
do a great job in tackling and limiting those big
(15:09):
plays this week.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Yeah, big plays a game has been so much more
impactful in recent weeks, so too.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
Four big plays a game keep the haters away.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
That's the way I look at it, especially on the
offensive side of the football.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
But it all comes.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
Down to, like like you said, Jac, is just it's
technique in details. The Giants defense has the pieces. You
look at Cortell Flott. Here's a guy that was battling
out for a CB one, a CB two position, and
in my in my eyes, he is the He is
the best corner on this team or playing the best
football right now. So you got guys, You got guys
(15:43):
on this team that are stepping up, that are rising
to the occasion.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
But it's about detailing that word again, and.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
A lot of that was though the competition, though the
competition between Flaw and Tabanks really brought the most out
of both of them. Russ, I see you want to
get in.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Here, because to go back to what Brandon said, he
was talking about, we're gonna know, you know, how they
come out. I'd be shocked. I'd be absolutely shocked and dumbfounded.
If the Giants don't come out right from the get go, angry,
ticked off, use every kind of explictive you.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
Want to eat, hit them with bad intentions.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
No, really, I listen, this team's got to be the
guys have to be talking to themselves and saying, look,
we're two and five and we should be five and two.
We should have beaten this last opponent, we should have
beaten the Saints, and we should have beaten the Cowboys.
They legitimately look at themselves and they should be five
(16:42):
and two. Okay, at worse four and three, but really
they got to say, you know what, we're good, but
we don't show that we're good. So, you know what,
the reason that people are talking the way they talk
about us, we've done it to ourselves. So you know what,
get ticked off and go do something about it. And
I agree from the get go, Brandon they gotta jump
on these guys ugly from the first snap, first snap.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
Gotta come out, swing in. And this is a game too,
with a lot of history. I mean, it's an NFC
East Division rival. These teams know each other well, they
played each other several times, including two weeks ago. But Russ,
with that, I think let's get a little bit of
trivia going here.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
So you're talking about what do you know? What do
you say, Matt? Okay, we'll do that. All right, Let's
take a ganda here the year, if I may, We're
going to go back to two thousand and thirteen. That
year happened to be the last time that your Giants
beat the Eagles in Philly. The score of that game
was fifteen to seven. The Eagles had one quarterback start
(17:41):
the game and another quarterback finished the game. Who were
those two quarterbacks?
Speaker 5 (17:46):
To Cobb and Michael Vick? Who did you say, Kevin
Cobb and Michael Vick.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Well, you're right on one of them, Michael Vick. Who's
the other one.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
Sam Brafford?
Speaker 4 (18:01):
No, no, no, oh, oh, Kevin Cobb's thirteen.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
That's the same name. The guy the other quarterbacks got
the same name as a Philly running back, same last name,
Matt Barkley Bingo, Hello, Matt, Matt Barkley.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
All right, it was like, for whatever reason, because the
NBA season tips off today, all I can think was
Charles Barclay didn't.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
Since you guys they're pretty good, I'm going to give
you another one. In that game, Eli through for two
hundred and forty six yards. All right, How did the
Giants score their fifteen points? Okay? Uh?
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Two touchdowns a miss p eighteen a safety.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
Nope, nope, five field goals?
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Bingo? By whom?
Speaker 4 (19:15):
What was the big jack kicker from back in the No,
he was a punters.
Speaker 5 (19:20):
Times No, Times is going now, Times is gone, Times
is gone, Giants kickers, we get it?
Speaker 6 (19:28):
Can we get some initials?
Speaker 7 (19:30):
JB not Jake Brown? Wooh close ba.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
Josh Brown, Josh Brown.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
I know it was something?
Speaker 3 (19:49):
No something, Yeah, you knew it was something back when
you were playing and you lost fifty two forty nine
in those days?
Speaker 6 (19:55):
Why why? Why? Why?
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Rus are we bringing up all stuff? You know, listen,
we are doing about as well with what do you know?
What do you say as.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Yeah, I'm very impressed. You guys have really improved each week.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
We're struggling, but we're building on something. You know, we're
getting there, and we're learning quite a bit about the
history of this team. All right, Well, listen, we're twenty
five years into this century and producer Pearson has thought
this is a great time for us to look at
some of the greatest Giants and so what we're gonna
do a little group project for us build the Giants
(20:31):
quarter century offense. Offensive players from the year two thousand
to the present day. We're gonna have a quarterback, three
wide receivers, two tight ends, three offensive linemen, and two
running backs, starting with the quarterback position.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Hello, that's I believe.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Across the board. Yeah, so one Eli manning quarterback position.
Lots all right, Three wide receivers from the year two
thousand to present day.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
Plax Plax, Victor Cruise obj.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
Okay, did somebody forget about a.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Money the Giants all time leading We're not first of all?
Moni's on the list.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
I would have to pick, and I love plaques. I
gotta pick Amani over Plax.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Ok You're going Amani Victor obj is yours because he is.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
Take was like, that's too much of a hot take.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
We could I would swap out Okay, since we're swapping
a money in, I guess I would swap out Victor
Cruise then, because Victor Cruz had those what three to
four just exciting seasons A money did it for a
longer period of time.
Speaker 5 (21:56):
I get the same with Obj. I mean, Obj, we
gotta throw on that list.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Sure, yeah, yeah, obviously you got to get reached back
like one three in there. But yeah, Amani tumor starts
the list as the Giants all time leading receiver. All right,
so we've got Amani obj plaques. Yeah, consensus receivers.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah yeah, any wait, I just I got disconnected, came
back in.
Speaker 6 (22:22):
So we took vicoff and you.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Might dropped, you might dropped, and you're just like out
of here.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
I think we took vicoff in favor of Amani.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
What Amiani has to be there has to be.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Yeah, who would you take it?
Speaker 6 (22:38):
Well?
Speaker 2 (22:38):
Because I'm thinking outside receivers, right, You've got two outside
receivers for me. And I told Drew Brees this and
I truly believe this. When he was healthy, I've never
seen an athlete like Obj. I've never seen anything like him.
And I played with great wide receivers, right, Marcus Coles
and Lance Moore in New Orleans. Mike Evans when he
was young in Tampa. I've never seen anything like OBJ.
(23:00):
So he's on one outside and and I think the
Moni's on the other outside, right, So I'm thinking victim
is slot. That's that was my three. It wasn't really
like top three. It was more like who is my ex?
Speaker 5 (23:10):
Who's my Z?
Speaker 6 (23:11):
Who's my slot? You know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (23:13):
All right?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Uh Russ, who's your tiebreaker? Who's our three?
Speaker 3 (23:18):
My three has to be a money has to be
a money oh b J. And I'd say Plexico, all right,
I'm not going with who's playing a slot taking wide receivers.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
That's what I'm going all right, two tight ends.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Shockey got to go to.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
Oh wait, are you putting Shocky over Kevin Boss?
Speaker 6 (23:43):
Or ends?
Speaker 5 (23:47):
Who starts? But who starts shots?
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Let's keep it moment. We're just building the roster here,
all right, Shocky and Boss.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Yeah. I would I would say that three.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
Lineman Sea O'Hara, obviously obviously Sean Sean.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
I would say quite me. Personally, I would say Sean.
I would say Chris Snee and I'm going to give
you one who's current, because I don't Thomas. I don't
think people realize how, you know, because of the the
problems that they've had. He is not good. He is terrific.
(24:26):
Oh yeah, I mean you can see how the old
line has just been solidified just because he's back. Yeah,
he's tremendous.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
Shout out to getting a current player on the rush.
Speaker 6 (24:37):
That was a mic drop moment.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
I don't think me and Brandon have any protests to
those three.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
I agree. And finally, two running backs two thousand to
current day, who's the two running backs scatabooes not yet. Yes,
I got to show love to my son, devel over you.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
I'm gonna go the original forty four.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
I feel like it has to be my Bradshaw and Brandon,
Jacob and Jacobs.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Yeah, listen, we gotta be fair.
Speaker 6 (25:09):
Yeah, yeah, it's you gotta.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
Be Tiki has to be to be Yeah, Tiki. And
that's what.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
That's a backfield right there.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
So I'm gonna mix it up. I'm gonna mix it up.
I'm gonna keep my Tiki. So everybody got a different
running back group, and I'm gonna go a team.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Though we're doing this is a group projects.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
So okay, but.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
I'm gonna throwing I'm gonna throwing one more guy in
then we could decide. So I'm going Tiki. So we
got Tiki in. Tiki's a lock, and I'm going Brandon
Jacobs a little bit of speed and all around back
power back.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
It has been decided, all right, So Tiki and Brandon
Jacobs are our running backs. Eli as the quarterback, Amani
Plaques Obj the receivers, Shocky and Boss at tight end,
Sean O'Hara, Christnie and Andrew Thomas offensive lineman. Out to
the All Giants quarter Century Squad. Hot Tit producer Pearson
(26:05):
for throwing that little fun little game together. Let's get
a little rapid fire. We got Giants Eagles coming up
on Sunday at the link. Because he is over under
one and a half sacks for the Giants defense.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
I'm going over. I believe in this past rush.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
You know, if Philly ends up trying to run the
ball seventy times, that's the only way I think they'll
avoid that number from being more than that.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Russ I'm going over. Also, I you know, I'm not
saying they're going to get a ton, but yeah, one
and a half. I think they can get to I'll
go with you.
Speaker 6 (26:36):
Burns probably have one and a half bombs self.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Yeah, you're right, I'm going over.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
And I don't even think it's gonna be Burns. I
think a duel.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
Carter is just ticked off right now and he's so close,
so I think Abdul is gonna get have two sacks
on his own.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
I'm taking the over. Also, I think they're gonna be
and these guys are coming in playing angry after Denver,
We're going to see a little aggressive here. Over under
twenty two points scored for the Giants offense.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
Brandon Oh, I'm gonna go under on this one because
we're using the tight end so much in his twelve personnel.
I think it's gonna be a ball control type game.
Run the football and then use the quick game to get.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
The ball out as well. But I'll go under on
this one.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
I think it's gonna be a defensive win or defensive
type game.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Russ.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
Wait, that number. That's a good number. Twenty two.
Speaker 5 (27:28):
It's a great number.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
Yeah, that that really is that?
Speaker 1 (27:31):
That's a swift wrote a song about it.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
That's a close number. I'm gonna I'm going with over.
I think the Giants are gonna get themselves twenty four.
I think they're gonna win the game twenty four something.
So I'm gonna go over all right, Casillas.
Speaker 6 (27:46):
I'm gonna go over to.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
This kid, Jackson man like like he mad. He may
make a lot of mistakes, but he got some bighnas.
You think he got some stuff with him. He just
has that no fear mentality. You know, we haven't seen
like the multi interception game, but he's the type of
guy how to throw four interceptions and still throw the
ball in in double coverage, you know, but like that
(28:12):
you want.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
He has that goldfish mentality where he can bounce back
to the next play.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Yes, you're right.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
We've heard guys on both sides of the ball talking
about how contagious that man's a dog he shows up.
I agree. I think they're going to be getting some
points on the board in this one. Finally, let's just
go yes or no on this one. Do we see
a tight end touchdown in Philadelphia? Russ? Yes or no?
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Well, if you remember last week, Brandon and I were
talking about the tight ends, we're going to be the
key factors in the game. And each one of them
caught a touchdown. I'm going with it. Listen with short
on wide receivers. Okay, so that being a case, I
think the same thing applies. Well, we get one from
a tight end. Yeah, yeah, I'll say yes, yes, I'll say.
Speaker 5 (28:58):
Brandon without a doubt. His name is Daniel Bellinger, Belly.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Jackson dart to Belly is gonna be I'm nicknaming you
this summer, I turned gritty. Why not see es yes
or no?
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Yes, I'm not I'm gonna follow your rules. You said
say yes or no. Russ gave us a two minute speech.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
Hi. I oh, but you're still ticked off me because
I keep bringing up to fifty two forty nine with
the great he's playing the hits. I like you.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I like you when I see you at the facility,
you are cool. When we get on a hunt hangouts,
it's like, let me see if jac with a body
shot real.
Speaker 5 (29:35):
Que hanging out, were hanging out. That's the whole point
of the hangout. Ole boy.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
All right, listen, we're gonna see a tight end touchdown.
We're feeling good about the defensive sacks, We're feeling good
about the points on the board. Giants Eagles Sunday at
the Link the rematch, We'll see how it all goes down.
But that's a wrap for our week eight Giants Hangout,
brought to you by Restaurant for Jonathan casie Is, Brandon London, Russellsburg.

Speaker 5 (30:00):
