Speaker 1 (00:09):
All right, what's up everybody? This is the Player's Lounge.
I am your host, Victor Cruz, and I look forward
to spending time with you. We're gonna be talking to
different players, getting their vibe on and off the course.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
And today I am.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Joined by defensive stud. He gets after the quarterback, he
makes him pay, and he's from La and he listens
to Tupac I think on the weekends when he's getting
ready for games.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Mister Cavon Thibodeau, what's up, my brother? Everything good?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Like I'm trying to, I mean, I just try to.
This is the player Lounge, you know what I'm saying.
Buff For the purposes, we're gonna keep it.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
The players Lounge. All right. So, so you're from LA.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Give me something that people don't know about LA, or
that's something that you gotta be from LA for people
to know, whether it's the vibe or whether it's like
the people parties or whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Like, what's what's something people don't know?

Speaker 3 (01:03):
One thing people they may know or may not know
is the hoodie shorts combo. And I'm gonna just start there.
That's probably the most Like if you see somebody with
a hoodie and some shorts on from LA.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
That's a fact.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
And you just it's because the weather is. You know,
it's hot during the day, it's gonna get cold at night.
And you know it's always a hoodie, always comfortable.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Ain't gonna like you need to figure it out because
it's it's either the hoodie or the shorts of teacher.
It can't like the weather is already too crazy, y'all
gotta fire. I can't tell like if I'm inside and
I look out the window and see somebody in the
hoodie and shorts, I don't know how to dress now.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
See, it's more about the is it cold. The hoodie
is about the ears, Okay, you know what I'm saying.
The hoodie is strictly to cover the ears if you
get cold. And the shorts, you know you don't want
to be too hot.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Who want to be I want to be a jeans
every day. I give you that you're literally wearing. This
is the you're wearing. The LA looks for accident. I
ain't even you know what I'm saying. That's just I know,
some shorts in the hoodio.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
The blood if it's snowing, if it's raining, if it's
hot shorts in the hoodie.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
This is crazy. You heard it here first shorts in
the hoodie.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
So so, I'm from the New Jersey, New York area,
right like, and I still when i became a player
for the Giants and I'm moving around the city, I
remember like going to Knicks games and like John Starks
and Alan Houston and even Patrick Ewing, like different guys
coming up to me recognizing me, having these moments. What
has been like your New York kind of moment that

(02:28):
you've had thus far, whether it be another player recognizing
you or just walking around the street almost getting hit
by a cab, Like, what what's the New York moment
for you?

Speaker 3 (02:37):
The New York Man, people argue on the phone a lot.
That's like one thing you never I never see anywhere else.
I've been people just walking down the street just hammering
whoever's on the phone, like they have no regard for
anything else going on. But I would say that, and
then I would say, from the like Hollywood perspective, you know,

(02:57):
comparing it to LA, it's.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Hard to find celebrities in LA. You know, it's kind
of like you don't see them, you know, you don't
You're never a lot of people are walking around in LA.
I never see it.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
But here it's like you go to a you know,
a Knicks game, or you go to anything, it's like, oh,
everybody is just you know, out and about.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
So it's like it's a little different culture.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah, here's just like Andred three thousand and just be
walking around playing like a ukulele. Chris Rock could just
be moving around like it is true. That is true
about New York, that celebrities just be moving around wherever.
What's your favorite see.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
I'm a foodie.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yeah, I love restaurants. I love even just the vibe.
Sometimes I go to restaurants just have a drink. You
already know, Like, what's your favorite restaurants in New Jersey,
New York or both?

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Either it doesn't matter, like what's.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
New York and comparing it to LA again because now
you've got it on my mind. Okay, New York got
us some food, right? LA is a melting pot, I'll
be honest, but like, there aren't really many options in
New York. I'm talking about you could eat, you could
be in a different country, you know, every.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Other block, every other day. So just like.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Food in general, I'm a big sushi guy in Jersey.
It's this place Blue on the Hudson. Oh yeah, of course,
come on course get dressed. That's going on the views
that they opened a little rooftop part I heard, So
that's gonna be dope. Shout out to them and another place,
I would say in the city.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
So many to choose from. Man, you know, I went.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
I went to Four Charles once, man, and that's pretty good.
And that's like I heard, it's hard to get into.
I kind of went that, you.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I kind of got a different type of time to
get into Four Trials. Okay, so I even haven't been
to Four Charles yet, mainly because I don't really do
the steak thing like that. I know it's a big
steak spot, but what's the vibe? And I always wanted
to know vibe.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
It's zero vibe. It's not zero vibe. It's just food.
It's just like sitting down this Yeah, yeah, you gotta
be more mature. It's more of a mature place. That's
New York. Super intimate. It's not thing.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
It's probably like eight seats or something like that, super
one party, super small, so super intimate.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
You know when I went.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
It was an event, like a private event, so the
people there were you know, I guess of the same demographic,
but I would assume it's like an older place where
you know, older people going.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
I love that all right. Keeping it in New York. Now,
you've we've seen you at.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
All the New York teams, like at the games, Nick games,
you know, Ranger games.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
We've seen you doing anything.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
What made you want to just go out and like
venture into the New York local sports sports team like that?

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Well, I've always been a sports guy. Like if you
actually go back and you like check my resume on
like high school basketball, college basketball, like I'm a student
section Heckler, Like I love being at the games.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
When I get a chance to be a fan, I
love it.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
You know, so coming out here and now, you know,
being on a professional level and having access to you know,
other teams and other sports, you know, the relationships. You know,
I have to come pay respects out here. I think,
you know other than the you know, the Yankees, the Rangers,
the Knicks. Like it's legendary, so you gotta come see

(06:01):
it and you know, walk away.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Shout out to the Yankee see big postseason time right now,
Yankee is getting ready to make a run.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
The Mets are in it right now. How about the liberty?
Have you been keeping touch? What you mean? Yo? I'm
come on, when I told you I was at the game,
I was at her game. It's on camera.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I'm gonna get I'm just I'm like, I'm just excited
at how entertaining the w n b A has been
this year. I'm thoroughly shocked, you know, especially the liberty
right now, Like, talk to me about the liberty, Talk
to me about like just the energy around w n
b A.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Like they just beat the aces as I've got two it's.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Two organ ducks on the New York Liberty. Shout out
to them.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
This is just a layer for him to do the
Oregon Ducks. I'm sorry, man, this was That's what this was. Okay, Okay,
switching it back to the next now called Anthony Towns,
Oh Jersey guy, By the way, it happened, that happened.
It doesn't feel real locy that Okay. So now I'm
sad Devincenzo had to go. He's a guy that's, you know,
created a little bit of historic moments and has some

(07:04):
some history with the with the Nakes. Of course, great shooter.
He's gonna do great in Minnesota. But we gotta call
Anthony Towns before you even all start talent.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Before you even get in a cat.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
I think you gotta, like, you have to make it
relevant that your brunton gave up all that money.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Oh yes, we gotta. Let's just gotta pay that respect baseline.
That's just before you even think about it and.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Shout out to him because he could have he could
have hit him over the head and gotten real money.
Because he not just because he deserved it. Come on,
he get deserved it too. The things he's done in
this town. He really embodies like a lunch pal, you know,
type of guy in this city, and he's really in
the city has embraced him as a leader here and

(07:46):
call Anthony Towns. Is gonna bring a different level. Just
give me your thoughts on what these Nick games gonna
look like. You know, I'm in the building. We gotta
go to one together at some point and get the
energy going. Like, talk to me about the Knicks this year.
I'm excited. I am excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I
think they're gonna do great things. How I was there
at that last game when they lost. I mean they
laid it on the line.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
You know.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
I think the thing with sports, it always comes down to,
you know, the final moments, and you know how many
guys are healthy. I know Julius Randall was out. You
know they're missing some guys. But talk about the heart
and the passion they give to the game. I mean,
the sky's the limit. Now you add another piece. You
got to build that team chemistry, you know. I think
that's probably gonna be the only concern. It's just like,
you know, you gots a more all star guys, so

(08:27):
just creating that cohesion, and I think it's gonna be great.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, big time. I'm excited for it too, mainly because
it's like they making real big boy moves, you know
what I mean, Like this is a big boy we
want to make it to the finals. We're one step
away type of move. But I just want to clearse it.
You are a Laker fan, I'm a I'm a Laker fan.
I'm a Knicks fan.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Okay, take your time. I'm a Knicks fan. Okay, you
know what I'm saying. Get it.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
But in the blood you got Brin with his son
come on, you got junior throwing it up the pops
like he.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Just the thought of it.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
I think we haven't seen this about Ken Griffy senior
and junior. We've seen it in other sports, and I
don't think we've really seen.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
It as a real one level. It's a real one
in basketball in this day and age, in this time.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Just give me your thoughts on like if that were you, what,
like just the emotion that you would have playing with
your son at the highest level.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
First of all, So first, I'm young, so I'm thinking
about I'm playing with my dad first, and I'm like,
hold up, I was just watching the video, you know,
the video come out what he's telling Like, no, you
gotta you know, right here, take the shot.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Elbow, all right, pops, I got you. All right.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
After a while, probably, you know, they definitely have to
have a talk before, you know, after the draft, like
all right, son, you know, I'm gonna let you do
your thing.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
I'm a cold you know, because here man now too,
like some parts of you has to kind of let
him just go out and be a man.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
And then speaking of Lebron and his legacy, like you know,
he's in year tw he's probably hungry. He probably And
it's just like, bruh, how does he keep that hunger?

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Just talk to me about what you think about his
legacy and like everything that we've seen this far and
just where he is in his game today and.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
He's still playing at a high level. He's like one
hundred years old.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Because it's it's for every true competitor, it's not the result,
it's the process. And when you see a guy like Lebron,
you it's Adams, it's right into your face. Like he's
not in love with being, you know, the greatest. He's
not in love with the legacy because he would have
been done already.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
That's the case.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Like he's in love with the grind and the constant
opportunities he's given to continue to shine. So it's like, honestly,
I see him maybe playing another five, Like if Briannie
keep getting contracts, I don't see him, you know, stepping down,
because it's like you have the talent, you have everything
it takes. It's just like, you know, hell, it's an itch.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Speaking of legacy, what do you think about You're in
year three right now, You're doing some phenomenal things with
this team, this defense, you're leading the way in that
defensive room. Talk to me about how you think about
your legacy, how you're enjoying the process thus far, and
just like where you see yourself in the next ten years,
Like what are you envision for Kavon Thibodeaux down the line.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
When you think about legacy in you're early in it,
it's dark. You know, I hate to change that. That's real.
That's real. Legacy is dark in the beginning.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Man, like you don't really know how things are going
to end because it's such a there's so many variables,
and you know, you look at a guy and Geno Smith,
big shout out tim he's a great quarterback. But like
even a guy like him, he you had an amazing
comeback story. He's playing great ball and who knows what

(11:46):
he thought, you know, five years ago or however long ago,
Like damn, what is my legacy at this point?

Speaker 2 (11:52):
You know?

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Or even another guy like you know, Bryce Young, he's
in it's a dark space because you're a competitor and
it's like, Okay, this is the beginning. It's only the beginning,
but I don't know when it's over, and I have
to maximize my time to maximize the legacy, you know,
so super super kind of wade in the water type

(12:14):
thing where it's like, you know, you just got to
keep grinding. Even me, like I hadn't had the first
two years that I thought or that I hoped or
that I expected. But you continue to work, and it's like,
as long as you fall in love with the process, you'll.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
You know, eventually you'll you know, get to where you
want to be. That's a that's a real response, man.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
I think when I was thinking about it early on,
I think I didn't you know, I was coming in
as an undrafted free agent, right, so I didn't have
time to think at all.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
I had to just put one day after the other
and one foot after the other. Legacy was that next paycheck.
My legacy was.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Surviving the next week, you know what I mean, in
the next game, and I was like, oh I played
this week, okay, dope like, Or they got some plays
in for me this week, dope like. It was that
process of every single step really really showed me and
put in perspective for me this game, and I appreciate
it to this day. I appreciate this game and what
it gives and what it Breeds and shout out to

(13:08):
Geno Smith. He's a god that was in this he
was in this building too. At Shout out to Bruce
Young to you know what I mean, shout out to
Bryce Young as well.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Give me your now we're gonna.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Get into this linebacker talk. Give me your mount rushmore
of linebackers.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
I want to know who you think are the goats?

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Okay, the goat of outside backer edge. You know what
I'm saying. You think that like that?

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Michael Strahan obviously easy LT both giants. That's easy.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Then me, I kind of fast forward. There are a
lot of guys that are in there, but I fast forward.
I gotta go Von Miller.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Oh, I like that. He's got to be in there.
I like that. Then you gotta go t J. Watt Man.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
And that's just like on some today, you know, some
young generation type stuff and TJ whte.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
I think, is you know doing some great JJ? You
JJ J Yeah, yeah, JJ. You know, just did not
think t J would be this good.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
I did not think that TJ would have a career
that will rival even his brothers, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Because JJ was so JJ not I think about it.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
You can't you can't give up that. But but I
will say that TJ is phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
But you go for twenty twenty halfs.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
No, no, no, no, no, TJ is phenomenal. Let's be clear.
But again, I did not think that he would have
a career trajectory like like he's on pace to do
JJ like if not better type of things, you know
what I'm saying, Like that in itself is like a
crazy thing. No, I like to switch gears to the
pregame entering the stadium vibe, I threw my I was

(14:49):
gonna say, you kind of look like me a little
like take my shirt off because you had the Yeah,
you know, I had to meet out with the joint,
you know what I'm saying, And the belly button was exposed.
I just go full case. I want to fair of
the viewers out there. I didn't want to go full kveon.
Hey man, you look good, but I got to see
I got that. I got to prove as long as
you long as you feel good, it don't matter.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
That's in fact. So what goes into the pregame looks?
Is it like?

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Are the next four looks mapped out on the bed
for the next four four games.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
So I only map them because it's chaos, takes the
thinking out of it. Yeah, it's chaos. No stylists, no stylists,
it's all me. But I go shopping, you know, off season.
You'll get some stuff and it's like, you know what,
that's nice. I want to save it. Do it like
that or then? And then when you get here, it's like,
all right, these are all the clothes I've bought, saved,
haven't worn. Let's thrown together and see what comes out

(15:39):
of it. Because I'm from l A. You know that's
what I know. You from New York and they y'arem saying,
y'all take it serious.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
But so where do you think has the best has
the best style?

Speaker 3 (15:46):
In New York and LA and you want to do
See New York people they okay with being uncomfortable before
they fit, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Like you wearing boots, you wear you know what I'm saying, LA.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
You'll never catch nobody in boots like it, just you know,
and that's just because of the weather. So when you talk,
we're wearing boots because it might snow, it might have
some problems. So here, I would definitely say I've worn
more stuff that I would never see myself wearing, like
Bell bottoms. Come on, you know what I'm saying. I

(16:19):
would never see myself wear bell bottoms, but I got
four pair.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Now, what's been your favorite look so far? Last year?
This year? Your favorite? Give me to pre MEI one
from last year? Last year? Man? What did I? Man?
I wish we had a list right now. You know
I play D line. I forgot, But what did I wear?
Y'all can use that to nah?

Speaker 3 (16:42):
But I would say my best fit I wore. I
think I wore these who decides wore pants?

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Green? Remember that green? My rookie? I remember that green pants.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
The rookie year was documenting every look that was on
it was hidden.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
That was that was fire. I had my second season,
I had a full Gucci suit that was fire.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
I remember that you wore the hat? Yeah, with the
hat with it? You know what I'm saying? That was cool.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
And then this year I went to Nigeria and I
got a full suit, so it was like all white
NFL posted it was like all white fit and I.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Had some like uh, what do I have on? Like
some Javancis some love that have you done? The Europe.
Have you done the Milan Paris? I did? Shopping situation
I did.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
I went to Paris, So I did Spain, Barcelona, Majorca,
San Sebastian, Paris. Fire ended in Paris. That was the
time when Pharrell came out with his election. So yeah,
so you know they saw me like it's not available
anywhere else in the world, Like this is the only
place you can get. So I'm like, I gotta go

(17:47):
in there, went in there, it's empty or in Paris.
I swear the real Louis of time packed. Pharrell dropped empty,
went in there, sat in there all day. That's crazy, amazing.
I haven't pulled out.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
That stuff yet. That stuffs. But people got it now.
So you've seen it. You know you gotta let it
go exactly. Got let it go where and wear your way.
You know what I'm saying. Everybody's done it there now
you gotta wear your way exactly.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Speaking of game day, do you have it? Are you superstitious?
You gotta need I used to wear I'm gonna give
you mine real quick. I used to wear I used
to wear the same sock. I used to double my
socks up on game day and I wore the same
pair of socks inside out, and I didn't wash them,
and I just kept them in their locker. It got
really quiet in here right now that I don't. I

(18:31):
know everybody's already quiet, but it got like deathly like
that one's even.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Really everybody, everybody in here.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
It just got weird, feel how vicious.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
I could hear them think he didn't because you know
what it is, you're such a superstar. Everybody forgets that.
You know what I'm saying. You come from humble beginnings,
you know what I'm saying. So like if I wasn't
in my NFL mind, I wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Because I had a great game. I had three touchdowns
as a pre in the sock. The socks absolutely played
a part. Okay, trading these socks. And so give me
your superstition, if any my superstition.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
What do I have to do. I gotta pray before
I go out. You know that's just that's just simple.
You just get your time with God. You know what
I'm saying. You go out there.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Obviously we risking our lives to some extent, So you
gotta go out there. You know what I'm saying. Get
your mind right. But I would say I gotta read.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
I know that's random, but I always read, like, yeah,
ten minutes, you know, ten minutes, ten pages reading.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Right now, right now I'm reading.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
The Obscocles the Way, and basically great book is basically
just about turning adversity into advantage. And you know, the
great part is that, you know, you read ten pages,
you get like a daily dose of something positive to
keep pushing you forward. So you know, just to I
like to calm before the storm, you know, so read

(19:54):
ten minutes soon as I get there, then start.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
The warm up. That's fire.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Yeah, I definitely do even now every morning that courage
to do this. Every morning I try to take like
thirty minutes to like meditate, even if it's just laying
in the bed. You don't got to be people then
you got to be up sitting up doing some weird
like posture or something. But like literally lay in the bed,
don't touch my phone, and then just take thirty minutes
to the process today, think about what you what's ahead

(20:19):
of you, what's carrying over to the future.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
And it always kind of just kind of just sets
me right.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
My question for that is, like how do you stay
awake because that's true, Like I try to get that
five minutes, like okay, I'm gonna wake up, close my
eyes and you.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Knocked back out And that's okay though.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Sometimes that's okay though, as long as it's started with
the thought.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
So what thought? And that's kind of my thing. And
I know this is not a meditation podcast. Get some
juice might as well. Yeah, as players in lounge, you.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Know, but how do you kind of or what do
you think about when you're trying to reach like that
calm or that medicine.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Okay, So I sat with a guy who taught me
how to meditate, and he gave me a mantra and
it's more I won't do it here, but it's more
of a sound that you create that whatever it is
that you want to do, and when you're.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Quite, because I'm thinking of what sound I would make,
I'm kind of.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
That works whatever it is, right, and it's an internal sound.
You don't have to do it out loud obviously when
you're doing it, but it allows you to as the
more you do it, the more you'll see. It'll keep
you up and then it'll put you in thought and
then you realize you've got and then you go back like,
oh snap, I'm not even making the sound anymore. I've
thought about three different things.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
That's the part where like people have told me like
I'm I don't even meditate because I'm sitting here for
two minutes, and I'm like, okay, so this is the plan.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
I'm about to take over the world. Yes, I'm about
to run. I need ten sacks and I need thirty sacks.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Yes, And then you start to think about within that,
naturally you start to be like, Okay, how am I
gonna do that? Okay, I'm gonna eat good today, I'm
gonna go work out today. I'm gonna have a great practice.
I'm gonna get you know, I'm gonna take the necessary
steps down success before Sunday. And then and then you
start thinking about I'm gonna be a good son, I'm
gonna be a good friend.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
It starts to start with your whole and then your
whole life happens one piece, and then we can change
the subject after this.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
But I threw out to my friends is that like
at the end of the day, I always try to
reflect the same kind of meditation where it's like I
reflect on how I interacted with people that day, you know,
just because like we sometimes forget that how we interact
with people is who we are, you know, So just
always trying to be mindful.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
And lastly, because we could clearly we can go down
a rabbit hole in this. Lastly, meditating will help you
handle situations the right way, Situations where you may have
been like loud or aggressive or responded in a way
that was like nah, forget that. Yeah, it'll be like, Okay,
I'm gonna take a minute to kind of process what
you're doing or what you're saying, and then I'm gonna
come with another response, like practicing brand exactly, just practicing

(22:51):
those things. We'll reconvene off Cameron. That's that's episode two.
So we'll chop that up. What's in the headphones right now? Man,
what are you riding into the games with? What's what's
the joint that's getting you motivated either in the whip,
on the way to practice or on game day?

Speaker 3 (23:06):
Man, on some la vibes. I've been listening to g Funk.
I've been listening to the g Funk last three games.
So you talk about like Nate dog Snoop DOGG, Doctor
Dre ice Cube, like that whole kind of eighties banging
on wax Era was a time and for me, you know,
I like to pay how much to that?

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Are you an old soul like that? Like?

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Are you in the like first thing you're putting on?
You got some fellas over you all hanging out.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
They don't. They don't let me the vibes.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
I try, and I've even started DJing, like I love music,
but the new music today just doesn't trump. I rather
listen to the same old songs. I would listen to
Tupac ten times before I look up what's the new
artists rapping now or the new artist because it's just
it's not the same.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
I love that man. He could have played man. I
wish I was. I wish you were older so we
could have played together. What I'm saying would have been
on fire Man in my locker room if we were rocking.
Come on, that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
That's why I had an old parties rocking down. You know.
If you ask my grandma and they all think I
got the best music.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
In the world, come here and it ain't Chief Keith.
You know, yeah, somebody, it ain't. It ain't happening in
the locker room. You know, what's your biggest hobby. I
heard I heard you like to play chess a little bit.
I heard you like to I mean, I'm a man,
I'm an avid golfer. You already know I picked up
I picked up golf a little bit. Okay, all right,
I threw.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
My back out once. I was like, all right, let
me put that down for a little bit. Put down
for a little bit.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
I get some lessons that happens.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
I do play chess. Hard to find people to play,
you know, not too many people play it.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Man.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
But I've been DJing, so that's what I actually started doing.
I'm like, I've been loving music kind of my whole life,
and that's kind of my outlet, you know, just for fun.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
And it doesn't have to be big. It's just like family.
It's for me.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
It's a reason for my family to come together, not
just family or friends. It's like, you know, if I'm djaing,
they'll come, you know, and they'll be on the dance
floor and we'll be to you know, have fun.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Yeah, music brings people together, man, That's that's what it's all.
It's the ultimate connector no matter what. So all right,
we're gonna play a little game called blind ranking. I
want you to rank these one through five without obviously
knowing what's coming next, right, you know how, and then
you can't switch it, and you can't switch it?

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Got it? Lock? I'm pretty I don't have some good ones. Okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
First one a pick six interception, and I'm gonna right,
I'm gonna make sure I list down which ones picks like.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Okay, we basically whipped type of plays. Yeah, okay, pick
six that's a big one. Now that's a crazy pick
six is two?

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Okay, two, that's up there. Ye six two. They probably
don't want to be writing on this, but uh. Second one,
tackle for a loss on third down? Tackle for loss
on third down. I'm really mad.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
It's not a sack, but it's third and short. Okay,
So the tackle for loss on third and short. Great play.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
A lot of teams are fourth down teams, So I
don't know how I feel about it. I'm gonna go.
That's that's four. That's four. Okay. Next one a strip
forced fumble, Yeah, strip force fumble. That's three. That's three.
That's up. That's up there. Okay. Uh a three sack game.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying that's number one. You
knew that I want that three sacks over that pick. Okay, no,
not any day. Go ahead, it's gonna get them.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
It's gonna hurt. Put the pen away, fourth down stop
to win the game.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
See that was the hard part because nothing, nothing else
was to win the game. So I knew something was
gonna come because that's what I was ask was a
three the third.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Sack to win the game.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
So so what I what already said? I already said
one we got I only got five left. Yeah, they
got me. Come on out, y'all, they got us. Yep, hindsight,
I'm definitely doing that fourth down first.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
We need that to win. We appreciate having you on
the show. Oh man, it's been a ton of fun.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
I hope the viewers out there got to know you
a little bit better and get the opportunity to see
you on Sunday's wee can have it.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
I appreciate you and see you again soon. Brother. Yeah,
thank you, bro, thanks for having me. Sir,
