You like this?

Speaker 8 (00:53):
All right?

Speaker 5 (00:53):
Now? It's hard to come. This is it? You don't
want to come as.

Speaker 8 (00:59):
It's just the win. I could do a little it is.

Speaker 7 (01:01):
I like the lagans and sweatshirt vibes, but it's it's.

Speaker 8 (01:07):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
Seem very excited.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
I'm also very excited for this Cowboys Arizona Cardinals matchup
on Monday Night football.

Speaker 9 (01:14):
But I know we're gonna get to Aysha's insights in
the field room exclusive.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
You got to stick in the second segment for that,
But first I want to just break down, you know,
what specific areas must the Cowboys defense improve this week?
We are talking Cowboys defense every Wednesday, opponent's offense.

Speaker 9 (01:30):
So just making sure why did you almost.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
Throw up by the laugh every grade? Because I could
see the thoughts gone.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah, what specific areas must the Cowboys improve on this week?

Speaker 5 (01:40):
It's a loaded question. Say it's one, you choose one?

Speaker 9 (01:45):
What must they improve on this week?

Speaker 5 (01:50):
One?

Speaker 8 (01:51):
One thing? Oh my goodness, baby steps?

Speaker 7 (01:56):
Okay, because to everyone's favorite group to talk about, the linebackers.
I feel like that's the easy target.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
For any team.

Speaker 8 (02:04):
Every week.

Speaker 7 (02:06):
You know, Jack Samborne out and they're trying Kenneth Murray.
He's getting a lot of reps despite what he's doing
out there. I know I used just talked about him
being the mic and the veteran, but and I don't
even know, honestly, if you throw one of the younger
guys in there, does it get better. I think that's
the problem. I don't know how to fix it. I

(02:27):
just know it's week after week you're kind of seeing
the same thing, looking a little bit lost. Schottenheimer, the
last time we heard from him was that Monday, Yeah, Monday,
he was just I was asking him too about some
of the new pieces going into certain spots on defense.
Is it more of inexperience because I know every we

(02:48):
were talking about fundamentals and you know, things aren't transference.

Speaker 8 (02:52):
I'm like, why we're saying it every week?

Speaker 7 (02:53):
So like, I know, it's like seems simple, but why
aren't those things you guys are practicing and what guys
are saying that they they see it on Sunday, they
saw that practice. It's not going back and forth? Is
it the inexperience? And he said, you know, he doesn't
want to He's not gonna be one of those coaches
who's gonna blame it on an experience, but also he
does feel like that plays a part in it. But

(03:16):
also he's like he kind of like said it with
like a smirk, like, Hey, this is like ABC stuff
that anybody should be able to go and it's basically
things that's communicating. We went in there, we noticed the
offense changed, something, we called something.

Speaker 8 (03:30):
Half of them heard it, half of them didn't.

Speaker 10 (03:31):
Like.

Speaker 7 (03:31):
That was the answer to one of my questions that
I asked him. So yeah, I guess we're still talking about.

Speaker 8 (03:38):
Figuring out how to communicate better.

Speaker 7 (03:40):
Yeah okay, still yeah, and that was a problem on
the road. That was a problem on the road last week,
and that's been a problem that this Cowboys defense and
offense has struggled with communication. Christy really really honed in
on that yesterday. To answer your question, iCal, what is
something that the Dallas defense needs to do better this game,
It's it's really defend the run. You're going up against

(04:02):
an Arizona Cardinals, Uh rushing offense. That is we'll get
into is dealing with a lot of injuries. They're trying
to get that rushing side of the ball going. And
I don't want this week to be another game well
where teams decide we don't do this well. But if

(04:24):
we need confidence to see if we can do this, well, let's.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Try it this week. Okay.

Speaker 7 (04:29):
So, uh, that's that's gonna be the biggest thing. And uh, Breed,
you made a fantastic point about the linebackers. It's it's
the whole front seven they got to play back. It
is a loaded question because defensively, like your defensive line,
your interior defensive line does not play well. Your edges
aren't playing well, it's making it harder on your linebackers,
So I that would be my That's like the crazy

(04:51):
thing when like if we haven't talked about do you
remember how hyped up we were excited about Dante Fowler,
Like we haven't said his name for real in forever
Osa who got that big paycheck? Like you're not seeing
why he got the big paycheck? And I'm feeling like
and someone else I forgot who I was watching, was like,

(05:12):
these guys can just come out here and.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
Just forget to play football.

Speaker 7 (05:15):
Likes some of these guys had some solid seasons last
prior to Yeah, and that's why it's like, and I
know where I hate. We bring him up every time
and we talk about when you have that guy who's
no longer on the team making everyone else drop a
little easier. I'm like, do we have like solid players,
but because there's so much I have a hot mess

(05:36):
around them that they're starting to not look good, Like
are these good players if they go somewhere else?

Speaker 3 (05:40):
That's what I'm saying, Like they don't nobody respects like
anybody on this defense right now.

Speaker 8 (05:44):
And that's a good point with Osa.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Love Osa to death, we all love him on the show,
but he was one of the most double teamed interior
defensive linemen. But yeah, last year and the year before that,
so towards the end of the year especially exactly.

Speaker 9 (05:58):
And so now you don't see that.

Speaker 8 (06:00):
I mean you every now and then you'll.

Speaker 9 (06:01):
See guys obviously double team and Kenny Clark.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
But I mean that's all.

Speaker 7 (06:04):
Yeah, yeah, no, no, I think that's starting to look
like I think it's also too And that's kind of
what you're stuck in the middle of right now, is
personnel lack thereof If you want to talk about eleven
not being here no more, and then you're also talking
about the scheme change and does this scheme fit what

(06:26):
an ohso Digizua does well? And I would say no.
So that's that's something that you're running too as well.
And I agree, you know a lot of people are
starting to talk about ohso diggi Zua a little bit more.
Even Kenny Clark the last three four weeks has not
really played well. Solomon Thomas is a little bit undersized
playing on that interior. He will make some plays. I

(06:48):
think he was coming into this past game. He was
seventh in the league and run stuffs but yeah, the
interior we talked about the edges and we really got
on their tails about their play. But it's also to
that interior defensive line has not played well, just getting
moved off the ball like some cones.

Speaker 11 (07:06):
What like some cones is crazy?

Speaker 5 (07:11):
Have you seen it? Yes? And cones is insane.

Speaker 9 (07:14):
I thought you're gonna go a little nicer than that.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Cones.

Speaker 7 (07:17):
No, no, no, some of the like you're not trying to
be Funny'll like some of the holes that these running
backs are seeing, they probably ain't seen nothing like that's
his life.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
He we I'm sick of you. I'm sick of you.
On that note, we got a question.

Speaker 9 (07:31):
Hey, shout out to the chat, y'all come on to you.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
This morning, someone asked, well, I want to rephrase this
question because yes, Eberflus is our DC. But I think
he was trying to ask, is Matt Eberflus the right
defensive coordinator for this defense and the personnel that you have?

Speaker 7 (07:49):
Did the Cowboys ask that before they decided to hire
the door That's an important question. Does he fit what
we want to be? You know, what we want to
be perceived as as a as a whole Because this
is a team sport, so like what your defense does
well also helps your offensive vice versus.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
I don't know if that.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Conversation was had, and if it was, it's not showing
because the scheme in which he runs is really almost
opposite of what the personnel that you have presently here
have been.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Used to doing so.

Speaker 7 (08:25):
And it's not that we've seen Eberflus's schemes have success.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
That's fair. Over time, you ain't got.

Speaker 8 (08:32):
No doubt over time.

Speaker 7 (08:33):
You guys ever buy like address that don't fit, but
you want it so bad that you buy it anyway
and hopefully it makes it fit. That's how I feel
like Jerry in the front office, you get a body suit,
a song.

Speaker 8 (08:45):
I feel like they got a body.

Speaker 7 (08:46):
Seat that was a smile and need the medium and
now they try to make it fit.

Speaker 8 (08:50):
That's how it feels.

Speaker 7 (08:51):
I feel like they respected him as a coach, as
a man. We hear Schottenheimer talk about that. You know,
I think Shottenheimer wants anybody on the staff. It's deeper
than football for him, which makes sense when you're trying
to start something a new culture and win a locker
room and those types of things. But it feels like
when Schottenheimer's talking about the communication that comes from, in

(09:13):
my opinion, in any sport as a former athlete, is
the confidence. I'm vocal and I'm talking to the person
next to me, and I'm calling for the ball when
I'm confident in what I'm doing. And that's not what's
happening week after week after week guys.

Speaker 8 (09:26):
Who have been here for a while.

Speaker 7 (09:29):
And then yes, we're a little banged up in the
injury especially we're talking about the secondary and some of
the rookies are going in there, and it's again, it's
the And Christie said it too, She's like, every time
we go on the road and we come back, it's
the same conversations every time.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
Now, I don't want to talk to each other.

Speaker 8 (09:46):
Nothing new.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
They don't want to talk to each other out there.

Speaker 8 (09:49):
They probably just don't feel they don't know where to go.

Speaker 7 (09:52):
No, I think I think the confidence thing, especially you
bringing that up Breed as a as a former athlete,
I mean, it makes total sense. Like if these guys
aren't community to each communicating to each other, they're unsure.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
You see that on film.

Speaker 7 (10:03):
You see before the snap guys moving, talking, hand gestures,
and then when players are giving up. You see guys frustrated,
you see guys looking at other guys. It's a lot
of finger pointing. And so to your point, I don't
think that Ebraflus is a bad coach. Obviously his track
record perceives him. But I do think in reference to

(10:23):
the personnel that you have now what that personnel has been.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
Yeah, it's just it doesn't mesh. And we are seeing
that play out right now.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
And I think Jerry a lot of times, like when
we talked to him after the games, what did you see?
And it's always do you still have faith in Matt
Ebflus And it is yes, yes, yes, And I think
like him and the rest of the front offense, when
they do make any higher it's like to your point, Aisha,
I don't think it's like, Okay, why was Matt.

Speaker 8 (10:50):
Eberflu successful here? Here and here?

Speaker 5 (10:52):
Like what did he have? It's just like, oh, okay, they.

Speaker 7 (10:55):
Improved his run, his run defense was really good. Here perfect,
that's what we need. But they're not really looking at Okay,
what did he have? What did they surround him with?
What do those guys like to play? And again it's
not fitting. I think it's messy that guys on the
team are openly speaking about it not working and they're

(11:16):
expressing they want to change other stuff. I was only
here last year, but that didn't really happen. I didn't
hear guys saying straight up like the scheme isn't working.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
Yeah, And if they were saying it, it was a.

Speaker 7 (11:28):
Lot more behind the scenes or there was some uncertainty.
And but even midway through the season, at this point.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
We did see the Pastors started playing better.

Speaker 7 (11:38):
We started seeing guys felt like they were adjusting better
to the scheme that Zimmer was going. I don't have
that confidence. And when you go into this game against
Aris on the Cardinals, it is I ain't gonna hold you.
It's getting really hard to look at other offenses and
then be like, well, this is what they gotta do,
This is what they gotta do, this is what they
gotta do. I ain't seen them do any of those

(12:00):
things consistently yet.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Well, I mean, I ask all this, which personnel on
the Dallas defense is under the most pressure to step up?
You need somebody obviously, which one to improve the most,
but which one is under the most pressure now to
step up?

Speaker 5 (12:14):
I think it goes back to what Bri said. I
think she made a really good point about the linebackers.

Speaker 8 (12:19):
I mean, they're they're taking the most heat.

Speaker 7 (12:21):
And I think if most people had to vote on
who they could go get right now, it'd probably be
a linebacker because even the people you thought, and that's
the thing. It really in every level of the defense,
the people you thought that were gonna show up haven't.
And that's why I'm like, Yo, everybody couldn't have been

(12:42):
misdiagnosed in Oxnard, right and last season, I'm like, there's
good players on this team. I do feel like if this,
if another team could come and pick apart this defense,
there's some quality players that could go make an impact
and it's not happening here. But I will say the linebacker,
and I think it's the frustration is like.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
You can see like the edges.

Speaker 7 (13:02):
For example, I know Donovan Azarak who got more snaps,
That makes sense, right, But Kenneth Murray continuing to have
the snaps that he's getting isn't making sense right, And
I think that's the frustration. But it's also like Matty
Boff was like, who else do you guys want out there?
Do you? I will say, as hard as it is
to say, I mean you do, I think you do

(13:23):
miss Samborne's diagnosing.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
You maybe don't.

Speaker 7 (13:26):
Necessarily miss like good physical Billy, But at the same time,
know when you're looking at Murray, you might as well yeah,
because it's that bad. So it's like, I think you
do miss Sanborne being the mic, knowing the system, being
able to communicate to other guys. It wasn't always pretty
with him, but you could at least tell on film
he was recognizing what he was seeing. You're not really

(13:49):
seeing that from Murray at this point. You could tell
that he is a little overwhelmed and him having to
communicate to those young guys.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
It's just you. You can't even great the young guys.
You can't to me. You can't even really great for me.
I can't really.

Speaker 7 (14:04):
Evaluate schamar James. I can't really evaluate Marris Leaf.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Iul like at this point because they're supposed to have
a buffer with the veteran.

Speaker 7 (14:12):
Yeah, they are, Like linebacker position is complicated and they're
not getting that right now.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
Ladies, Kendricks is still out there.

Welcome back into Girls, Dog Boys Opposite vive as a
line in the s WBC studio Nicole Hutcheson and Breonna Aldridge. Aha, Morrison,
we god, we're still talking got Arizon offense.

Speaker 5 (17:09):
It's not time for asius freaking insights.

Speaker 9 (17:14):
I just feel like I needed to be dramatic.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
I'm sorry it was necessary.

Speaker 8 (17:19):
Okay, Prince, Okay, I like that.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
Yeah, go ahead and take it away, all right? Uh
so do this every week.

Speaker 7 (17:28):
The Arizona Cardinals are two and five. They are coming
into this game of of this their fifth straight loss.
Five of those games have been lost by five points
or less.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
My god.

Speaker 7 (17:40):
Uh. Three of those losses came in the last second
due to field goals. They've also blown three fourth quarter
three fourth quarter leads, so they are coming into this
game kind of trying to get right right. They're coming
off of by had quite a bit of time off.
It sounds like their quarterback is going to be making
his return this week as well.

Speaker 5 (18:00):
They are led by Jonathan Gannon, head coach. He was
over in Philly for a little beauty of time. Their
OC is Drew Petsing. He's in year three.

Speaker 7 (18:11):
New offensive line coach, Justin Fry. He replaced Clayton Adams.
What think and they have a They've seen a drop
in their offensive efficiency with the loss of Clayton Adams,
and I think that shows on their offensive line. There
are one and two on the road this year, so
they've struggled on the road as well, just like Dallas.

(18:32):
When you get into the stats, their nineteenth and points
per game twenty one point nine, twelfth in passing offense.
Their third down offense, though, Ladies is very efficient.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
They are fifth.

Speaker 7 (18:43):
They are going to convert forty four point eight percent
of the time. They are twenty second in yards per game,
and they have sixteen offensive touchdowns. They're averaging about a
little over three hundred and ten yards a game. Their
twentieth in rushing offense with only five Russian touch down.
So we'll get to they are eighteenth in red zone
offense and they are eleventh and penalty so they're not

(19:06):
they don't make a whole whole bunch of mistakes, but
just efficiency whise. They haven't been doing as well. Lost
James Conner to a season engine injury. He has been
out for the majority of the season, and so they've
just been trying to find their way. Jacoby Brissett has
been starting for them as well as of late.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
Honestly, if you want me to be real with you,
if you're.

Speaker 7 (19:29):
Talking to any Cardinals people, they feel like Jacoby pre
Pressette has been more efficient with their offense than what
Kyler Murray was initially coming out.

Speaker 5 (19:38):
So we'll see how they adjust. So you guys, let
you guys have any yeah thoughts on well.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Arizona obviously talk about their third down efficiency and Cowboys
defense one of the worst in the NFL.

Speaker 9 (19:51):
Right now, Where do you feel like the biggest threat
is for this Cowboys defense?

Speaker 3 (19:57):
So to speak from Arizona, biggest threat for.

Speaker 7 (20:00):
Me, it's gonna be when you start looking into it,
it's gonna be the usage of their running backs, like
they do want to use their running backs and receiving situations.
And stuff like that, and we'll see who gets the
start in this game once we get to the running
back side of things. But for me, it's just the
third down offense, the way that they're able to really

(20:22):
kind of disguise what they're doing and they will use
their running backs out of the backfield and Dallas has
had issues with that all year. What about you, Bree.
I know there's a lot of talk about the running
backs because you don't really know who they're going to have.
They made some changes, let somebody go, and they've been
kind of switching it. But I will say this seems
like an offense who did from the beginning wanted to

(20:42):
be a run first type of offense, especially when you're
talking about Kyle Murray, who's involved in the run game
heavily as well.

Speaker 8 (20:49):
Another mobile quarterback.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
Yeah, that we'll get to face that fantastic point that
runs a lot.

Speaker 7 (20:53):
But I guess what I'm looking at, Trey McBride, the
tight end would probably be who I'm looking at who
could hurt this defense. We're talking about the linebackers not
too long ago. This is a threat in the pass catcher,
great blocker. That's why I'm gonna go with it one. Yeah,
four touchdowns on the year. They've seen him take an
uptick in the receiving game this year. His usage has

(21:16):
gone up as well. He's someone that they're really trying to,
you know, lean on a little bit more. He's averaging
about nine yards every time he touches the ball. So
not only is he uping him in the blocking game,
he also is someone that is actually he's really starting
to threaten more as a receiver and Dallas has had
trouble covering tight ends this year.

Speaker 11 (21:34):
Yeah, talk about.

Speaker 9 (21:36):
Obviously Kyler Murray.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
He has been out a couple of games.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Still questionable if he will be playing against the Cowboys,
but looks like he could return.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
Still up in the air right now. He is also
undefeated in AT and T Stadium. Just lett, y'all know that.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Hello, hate to hear it, but Jacoby Brisset, if there's
the case that Jacoby will play for against the Cowboys,
where do you feel like the biggest difference is between
those two guys and which I'd say which quarterback pose
is the biggest threats to Kyler Murray just because.

Speaker 5 (22:05):
He is more mobile. I honestly, again keep my ears
low to the ground. And looking at.

Speaker 7 (22:11):
Jacoby Brissett's game, I feel like his lack of scramble
ability has kind of helped them because if you go
look at Kyler Murray, there's times that he's scrambling and
he's running into sacks.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
There's times he's scrambling and he does have clean pockets.

Speaker 7 (22:26):
But Jacoby Brissett will sit in the pocket and deliver
the ball and be a little bit more patient, I
think than what Kyler Murray has been doing. And I
think that's why you've seen some of their office offensive
offense be efficient at times with Jacoby Brissett, Like people
have been looking at a brother man Justin Fryer real

(22:48):
sideways the new offensive line coach, because their offensive line
has not looked, you know, as.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Good as what people expected. And then you get a Jacoby.

Speaker 7 (22:57):
Brissett in there for a couple of games and offensive
line looks a little bit better outside of the backers
game because they did whatever they want to do because Micah,
but that the Jacobe it's very weird, like maybe Jacoby
just is more comfortable in what they're being asked.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
They're asking him to do.

Speaker 7 (23:15):
But that's the difference, is the mobility, Like we mentioned,
it's almost like Kyler Murray's mobility has not helped the
way that you would think that a mobile quarterback would
help in this offense. Okay, and I think the frustration
from the fans this is a Murray's a number one
overall pick in twenty nineteen. He has one postseason appearance
that was a wildcard round, and they kind of got

(23:36):
dusted and rusted in that one. To be to be
a little fair there, so I think you just have
a fresh face in there. That's why they're turning up.
I don't see Jacoby Brissett coming in and saving this
two and five team. They're desperate to win. I think
if Murray is healthy enough to go, that's who we're
going to see. And from what I'm reading, they're pushing
for that, if you will. He's already missed two games

(23:58):
and then they did have arrests during the bye week.
But if you look at like the completion percent rate
on both these qbs, they're pretty similar. I know, go
we only had those two games, but I will say,
to be fair, when you're looking at the.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
Cowboys defense, who have the Cowboys stopped?

Speaker 7 (24:17):
When we're talking about qbs, justin fields who just got
their first win, shout out to them. Who else do
we just have Jaden Daniels for a half three quarters
and then backup QB.

Speaker 5 (24:33):
Okay, the Williams had what four touchdowns?

Speaker 7 (24:35):
Russell Wilson was the MVP. He's no longer starting for
the Giants.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
He's only had five. I think Kaylwis only had five.

Speaker 7 (24:42):
So I think when you're looking from Arizona's standpoint and
from what I've kind of been looking at the writers
when they're talking about, okay, they're still if the Cardinals
have a chance, obviously it's a must win game.

Speaker 8 (24:56):
You can't in that division.

Speaker 7 (24:57):
They are already I think, three games behind everybody else
in their division when you're talking about the NFC West.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
But I will say.

Speaker 7 (25:06):
That when they're talking about all the hard games coming up, y'all,
I'm not playing they skip Dallas.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
Yeah, because actually, you.

Speaker 7 (25:14):
Know what, I don't even like we're not even supposed
toports back.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
Well, I'm telling you if you do it, if you
look when people see the Dallas defense.

Speaker 7 (25:21):
They're like, and I'm talking about like multiple start your
running backs, multiple people. They're like, all these games, there's
some tough games coming up, mind you. The next one
is Dallas. They're two and five, they have the number
one offense.

Speaker 5 (25:36):
They're threatened by the offense. They are not threaten by that.

Speaker 8 (25:38):
They're like, this is Nicole said it. He said, this
is the game. This is the game. The defense is struggling.

Speaker 9 (25:43):
I feel I hate it.

Speaker 8 (25:45):
I want them to feel disrespected.

Speaker 5 (25:46):
I hate it.

Speaker 7 (25:47):
And and and to my point about the difference in them,
I think that Kylin Murray, obviously, when you look at
the numbers, he leads their team and rushing.

Speaker 8 (25:56):
My gosh, little h.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
She needs.

Speaker 7 (26:03):
But I feel like Jacobe is looking to pass in
certain places and Kyler is looking to scramble with his legs.
And I think that's the different the difference in them
also too, Kyler Murray can be very efficient in the
play action and screen game. Dallas has gotten mcwhooped there
like and we just talked about the linebackers.

Speaker 5 (26:22):
We just talked about guys not being able to get
off blocks.

Speaker 7 (26:24):
We just talked about the recognition of the play action pass,
you know, not getting tied into the misdirection. I mean
Kyler Murray if they are if he does play this
game and they want to kind of get him in rhythm,
get him comfortable. One of the easiest ways to attack
this Dallas defense that we have seen is the play
action game and the screen game and the quick game.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Talk about them how the Cowboys secondary, well, sorry, let
me rephrase that, about how Arizona could plan to mcwhoop
Dallas secondary.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
Of their passing game.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
What you got?

Speaker 7 (27:00):
I mean? Well, I mean when you start getting to
their receivers. A fantastic point by talking about trade McBride.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
You know they have Jay.

Speaker 7 (27:08):
Jones on the outside, former Jackal Jack. You are this
is a big, physical, possession receiver. Because of some of
their online struggles, he hasn't been able to get going
the way that I think they want to get him going.
Also to Marvin Harrison Junior, dealing with some confidence stuff,

(27:28):
dealing with some drops, dealing with some you know, kind
of being in his head. You know, maybe this is
a game where they try to get him involved. And
then Michael Wilson, actually he was one of my favorite
wide receivers come out of his draft a couple.

Speaker 5 (27:42):
Of years ago. He is a very He's gonna be
a tough matchup for this Dallas.

Speaker 7 (27:47):
For whoever the slot receiver is well corner is which
might be darn blant because of his size. This is
a tall, lengthy receiver that will do a lot of
work in the slot. But also too, he's pretty efficient
as a route run. And so that's like when you
talk about where they're gonna attack, I think, of course,
they're not gonna feel afraid to attack anywhere. They're gonna

(28:08):
probably try to attack anywhere, to be honest, but I
do see for them to maybe try to get a
Marvin Harrison junior involved on the outside or Jay Jones
trying to get them throwing down the field. Wilson, Michael
Wilson's gonna give you work in an intermediate game with
Trey McBride and some of those guys. But yeah, they

(28:29):
they should have an opportunity. Unfortunately, y'all own.

Speaker 8 (28:33):
Everybody against this defense.

Speaker 7 (28:38):
In a in a serviceable defense, Arizona looks very limited
to me when you're looking downfield. If you talk about it,
it's not fancy smatch, it's not anything that's in overly impressive.
But against Dallas, if I'm the OC fighting for my
job in my third season and I have an old
line who I know is sting more than what they

(29:02):
thought because they did heavily invest in this old line.
Like you said, they have a new off offensive line
coach trying to figure things out.

Speaker 8 (29:09):
That right guard is probably the weakest point of that
old line. Clocketat's sister, that's.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
I'm running the ball. Yeah, yeah, because you look on
the other side.

Speaker 7 (29:25):
Please. Yeah, they scare me. Are d line scar They're
very much but it's like who's gonna show up? I mean,
it could be what we saw in Week seven. But
when you talk about there, when you start getting into
the offensive line, they have Paris Johnson, Paris Johnson Junior
as a left tackle. This is a pretty strong left tackle.

(29:45):
Evan Brown lines up next to him. I think their
center is steady enough, and I agree with you. I
think that right side of that offensive line is the
weaker part. This offensive line is better in past protection
than run protection. In run blocking, they have not seen
a lot of success.

Speaker 5 (30:02):
Now.

Speaker 7 (30:02):
I understand that probably has a lot to do with
obviously Clayton Adam's being gone, but it also has to
do with the fact that their running back room has
been pretty decimated with injuries. But I do expect for
them to do like everybody else does and decide to
run at Dallas and to get their if their quarterback
comes back. It allows their quarterback to.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
Kind of get in the groove, get comfortable.

Speaker 7 (30:24):
It will set up the play action pass, It will
set up things for McBride.

Speaker 8 (30:27):
So I agree with you.

Speaker 7 (30:28):
It definitely could be a day where they just take
the air out the ball and then hit big plays
when they can.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Yeah, and you also, I mean, I think we had
to also talk about the obvious is they have a
bye week, like they're fresh off their bye week, and
so that'll kind of help them evolve and improve in
terms of execution even with the injuries, because I mean
we saw Washington, hello Downe starting receivers. But talk about

(30:58):
they have a question in this chat, sorry, the problem
on defense fixes.

Speaker 9 (31:02):
How did these coaches put a band aid on the
issues that they do have on.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
Defense right now heading into the Cardinals game?

Speaker 8 (31:09):
Too many band aids?

Speaker 5 (31:10):
Okay, well, who's healthy? That's a question.

Speaker 7 (31:13):
The safety room is a very big question, Marketers, you know,
probably hear more about that. Unfortunately not till Friday. We
know Malie Cooker is going to be out this week.
Shot Hiber did say that, So don't e spars to
see him in there. Then you're looking at donovand Wilson.
Is he getting better? I'm hoping this migraine era of
Janne Thomas is cleared up. Then you're looking at your corners.

(31:34):
I saw some very scary stuff from Kyrie Elam in there,
the run defense. I don't know where he was at.
Sometimes Trayvon Diggs is out, so it's just another is Bridges,
I don't know what he's what he's got going on,
Elijah Clark, you just keep going.

Speaker 8 (31:55):
There's just so.

Speaker 11 (31:58):
I thought she's gonna stop, did you.

Speaker 8 (32:02):
I'm trying to think of that.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
Who do we have? Is getting overwhelming for her?

Speaker 7 (32:06):
I would start with I would start with some of
the things that they already started with. Is elevating Donovan,
there's Iraku snaps. This edge rotation is not working.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
It's not working, and we also saw we also saw them.

Speaker 7 (32:22):
I don't know if it was Scheinenheimer bring up that
Clowney is gonna start seeing more elevated snaps.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
But he even little lost a little bit sometimes.

Speaker 7 (32:30):
Yeah, which is why I just think whatever you need
to just have Like, of course the rotation is fine,
but when you're rotating guys in and out and they're
not getting the checks. The communication is not good and
also too, it's just not making much of a difference.
Just keep the mower sound guys out there, and I
think that if you're gonna pick who's the most sound

(32:51):
at this point, it would probably be a veteran like Clowney.
And then is Araku has really taken an uptick in it,
and if he had one more second with some of
those times he got around the corner last, definitely bringing
the pressure. She's not getting those facts making the difference
and getting home enough.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
So I would slow down on the rotation.

Speaker 7 (33:10):
I would figure out if Kenneth Murray, even despite the
fact that he is a veteran, if he if merely
ifoul doesn't give you more at that spot, like you
might as well at this point, and then the secondary
it just says what it is. There's not much you
can do about it. Guys are injured very much, they're limited,
and who they can run out there?

Speaker 8 (33:28):
What is the I mean Carson, I mean, I know
we don't know what's there.

Speaker 7 (33:34):
But we've seen what was there with others last week.
I don't understand how Carson is sitting behind some other
people who just barely played in the NFL snaps like
you know.

Speaker 5 (33:44):
How on your birthday?

Speaker 7 (33:46):
You know how when you on Christmas, like some people
get to open their presence early and then other people
got to wait and stuff.

Speaker 5 (33:53):
Will you get some socks?

Speaker 8 (33:54):
They gave him some socks.

Speaker 5 (33:56):
He got some socks.

Speaker 8 (33:57):
I know there's some socks in there.

Speaker 11 (33:58):
I think they want to wait.

Speaker 9 (34:00):
Well, from what I've gathered, I think that they are
happy with what they have right now.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
Happen just wait for me.

Speaker 9 (34:11):
Where I've gathered what I've been told is they are
fine with what they have right now.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Starting corners, and his opportunity will come when it comes.

Speaker 8 (34:23):
I need to know what he did to them. He
must have hit somebody's car.

Speaker 5 (34:26):
I don't think so. Hey, I mean, I think it's
just a snack.

Speaker 8 (34:32):
Even if you don't, even if you don't, you know,
believe in what Carson can do.

Speaker 7 (34:38):
What about what anybody else is doing would make you
feel like you shouldn't be playing him?

Speaker 4 (34:43):
And then it.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
I mean, I'm just going by with what I've been told.
I don't I don't know the answer to that. But
even at that, how not good is he to them?
To them?

Speaker 7 (34:57):
If he that's fair if if a bridge gets to
go in there again?

Speaker 8 (35:04):
Who you going?

Speaker 10 (35:05):
Who?

Speaker 8 (35:05):
Who you throwing? Two first?

Speaker 7 (35:07):
That's my thing. You're talking about Arizona side. Who has
trouble going downfield?

Speaker 5 (35:14):
Oprah? So you get a catch? Hey, I got a question.
You're sick? I got a question?

Speaker 9 (35:18):
Y'all thought.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Brad Sham posed a question on Twitter yesterday. He asked,
have you'all ever thought about James Houston playing linebacker?

Speaker 5 (35:28):
You got a little song something from a Cowboys hour
on that.

Speaker 9 (35:32):
I think that that could be something that you know,
he might be interested in.

Speaker 5 (35:38):
Yeah, that's all I'll say.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
James Houston is interested in, uh that possibly being a
thing he feels like he.

Speaker 5 (35:47):
Can bring some Why not? He's Chris?

Speaker 8 (35:50):
Can you play linebackers?

Speaker 12 (35:51):
Shut up?

Speaker 5 (35:52):
All right?

Speaker 3 (35:52):
To take a second right here on Gross t Boys Talk,
President of MYFS line, I'd be right back breaking down

Something like catchy you know for our group?

Speaker 8 (38:48):
Okay, the gurth they'll be playing about that wake.

I think they do call us the wake up growth
do they? They do? They people like when they wake up?
Wow it hopefully I wake y'all up. Everybody needs energy

Speaker 11 (39:07):
Why are you looking at me like that?

Speaker 5 (39:09):
Huh?

Speaker 7 (39:09):
What are you doing?

Speaker 5 (39:10):
I'm okay, cool? All right?

Speaker 9 (39:12):
What's one under the radar? Cardinals weapon the Cowboys defense cannot.

Speaker 8 (39:18):
Overlook?

Speaker 5 (39:21):
Uh, let's stay with the run game. I think it's
gonna be in the for me, it's gonna be this
this running back room.

Speaker 7 (39:28):
They obviously, like we talked about, James Connor went out
with the season and the injury.

Speaker 5 (39:33):
They actually released Michael Carter.

Speaker 7 (39:36):
The other day, yesterday day for that, and it looks
like Bam Knight is going to be It's kind of
as of right now, they're expected starter. And then also
to rookie out of ts TCU a Mari Demarcado.

Speaker 5 (39:52):
He's the Demarcado.

Speaker 7 (39:54):
He is like a dual threat type guy that can
do some stuff in the receiving game, but also too
is a patient run between the tackles.

Speaker 5 (40:01):
Bam.

Speaker 7 (40:02):
Knight runs with a lot of power and he has
some good balance. He will run through contact. I think
this running back room that has not gotten a lot
of love. I know Trey Benson is their their big dog,
not the little one, you know, a part of their
two back set, and he had miniscus surgery at the
beginning of the season.

Speaker 5 (40:21):
He has been on IR. This is something to monitor this.

Speaker 7 (40:24):
Week if he practices or are they looking because with
the release of Michael Carter, people are kind of like, Okay,
does this mean that Benson's coming back. I'm not sure
it's gonna happen this week, Week ten, week ten, So yeah,
I'm not sure it's gonna happen this week, but.

Speaker 5 (40:36):
That's something that people are looking for. So these two guys,
thank you Pree.

Speaker 7 (40:39):
So these two guys are kind of coming out knowing
that this Dallas defense has not defended the run, well yeah,
and probably gonna try to take advantage of that. I
don't want Dallas to think just because these guys are
not starters quote unquote, that they're not capable and have
the ability to really make you pay and gash you
in the run game.

Speaker 8 (40:59):
So what you got They have a positive rotation there.

Speaker 7 (41:02):
I think it says a lot when James Connor goes
out week three and you're able to kind of lean
heavily on Bam Knight, who's been taking the bulk of
the carries. Michael Carter popped off the last two games
carrying they had the little running back by committee thing
going on, So I think Cardinals fans were a little
bit surprised that they did release him, but like you said,
brought him back to the practice squad, which makes them

(41:23):
thinks Benson is close to returning. But from what I've
seen for the reports, he's won't be back until week ten, which.

Speaker 8 (41:29):
I guess is a little bit of a relief, if
you will, But.

Speaker 7 (41:32):
Expect Bam Knight to be getting fed there because I
do think again, this is a team whose identity is
run ball first.

Speaker 8 (41:39):
In a perfect world. We know they're struggling still in
the receiving game. They do have some veteran pieces, which
I think is interesting.

Speaker 7 (41:46):
It just hasn't very much clicked. I do think McBride
will be fed though a lot. As a pass catcher,
he's just a big target. He has amazing hands and
he can make the middle of the field pay and unfortunately,
at least all season, that has been a struggle for
the Styles defense. So I do expect them to be
taking advantage there. But I think they're willing to run

(42:06):
the ball until you show you can stop the run,
which the Cowboys have not.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
Which defensive player has the biggest task in terms of
stopping the run?

Speaker 7 (42:16):
Okay, in terms of stopping the run, yea, who's the
Who's the left end, whether it'll be or might be Kneeland,
whoever is the left end?

Speaker 5 (42:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (42:30):
Yeah, I feel like they have a strong left tackle.

Speaker 5 (42:32):
Yeah, center, They're going to try to run the ball
to that side.

Speaker 7 (42:35):
But also too, like we talked about, I expect for
them to try to set up the screen game. I
expect for them to try to do some quick stuff
and in the intermediate game, which
