Nicole Hutcheson alongside Christy Scales, Aisha Morrison, and weg U
wag up to talk Cowboys football, Arizona Cardinals in Monday
Night Football. We can expect a special caller in a
few to give us some exclusive insights on the Arizona Cardinals.
(00:56):
Can't wait for that.
Speaker 5 (00:56):
But first we got the injury report. We got some
good news.
Speaker 6 (00:59):
We got some news.
Speaker 7 (01:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:05):
Uh so, Elijah Clark safety had the rib injury during
the game. He did not practice yesterday. Jack Sanbourne is
dealing with a groin He did not practice.
Speaker 5 (01:14):
Was that a surprise to you, ladies, because I know
he's he.
Speaker 7 (01:17):
Was dealing with the concussion, so in warm ups they
weren't sure if he was gonna play or not. They
needed to see how he came through. He went out
early pregame and the suspicions were confirmed that he wouldn't
be able to play. Okay, Yeah, so he was a
game day decision.
Speaker 6 (01:34):
Thank you for that. Donovan Wilson is still dealing with
the elbow slashed shoulder. He did not practice, so safety
room still kind of in limbo. Johnny Cornelius it was
limited yesterday with the knee. The Marion overshown in that
practice window was limited with the knee. Savon Ravel limited
with the knee. Still feels like both of those guys
are kind of ramping up a tiny bit. Tyler Smith
(01:57):
with his knee, the sonatas he was limited. Thomas was
limited with the migraine. That's a good sign for this
safety room as he's trying to get back. Perry On
Winfrey his practice twenty one day practice window was opened
earlier this week. He was limited in practice. Cooper BB
since he was going to this game with the ankle
full practice, feels like he's gonna suit up on Monday.
(02:17):
That is something to look forward to for this Dallas
offensive line. Kenny Clark with the elbow full practice, Marshaw
Kneeland ankle full practice, and Ready Stewart with a thigh
injury was full in practice.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Good things to come, especially talking about your starting center back.
Of course, Clayton Adams talking about, you know, the good
job that brock Hoffman did in place of Coop, but
there's nothing like having your starting piece back in terms
of the communication. Just getting BB back, I mean, how
big is that at such a time like this, especially
when you're going into the bye week and you need
(02:50):
that momentum heading into the second half of the season.
Speaker 7 (02:53):
Yeah, it is. I mean, he's the he's the better player.
I mean, we all appreciate what brock Kaufman has done
and really admirably filled in and the edge that he brings.
But sure you want to Cooper bb and so I
think that could be really big help the run game too, right,
So yeah, that's a positive for me. The concern is
(03:14):
that Donovan Wilson not being not practicing at all, and
with Wan Ye he was limited last week and he
ended up not playing. So yeah, it's good news for
offensive line, but still huge, huge problems with safety moving forward.
Speaker 6 (03:30):
Yeah, I still don't know what that safety room is
gonna pin out to be. I think this matchup on
the outside is it's a little different than what the
Broncos brought to you.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
But in regards to.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
Getting Cooper bb back, you're going up against a defensive
line again that doesn't register a whole bunch of sacks,
but they do have guys across that defensive line that.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
Can get after the passer.
Speaker 6 (03:50):
Also too, when you bring up the communication, Nicole, is
you think about the fact that the Cardinals will have
a lot of simulated pure and bring different blitzes and
simulated pressures means you don't know who's coming, who's blitzing,
who's dropping into coverage. They'll kind of mix that up.
They'll blitz their safeties. So having your center to your point, ladies,
(04:12):
at the center of that offensive line, I think is
gonna be big in this game. And this is a
good run defense, a better run defense. You're gonna want
to try to really get up on those guys and
attack the edges like we were talking about earlier this week.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
You know what else is big?
Speaker 4 (04:24):
What's that Having the one and only Danny Surrett calling,
come on show, Arizona Cardinals reporters former Dallas cowboy, How
you doing.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Even so good morning? Everybody thinks for having me on.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Absolutely, I mean it was only right right, I had
to do it. But we're gonna get straight to the point.
I know you have things to do, but just talking
about Kyler Murray. What's the news there? I mean, because
we're hearing mixed reports. He's gonna play, they're preparing for
him to play. They're not preparing for him to play.
He's missed a couple of games. What can you tell
us about Kyler murray situation right now?
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Will head coach Seanathan Gannon told the Thursday that they
are preparing Murray as a starter now. Murray was still
a limited participant in practice Thursday, which is really their
first week, the bonus practice they had two day coming
out of the bye week with with just that it
was a bonus practice, not even an official injury report
after that practice. Murray has missed the last two games
(05:23):
with a foot injury and then had that extra week
off with the bye week, with which came at a
good time for him to recover and get healthy. There
were reports from national reporters that Murray is expected to
play and he was practicing with ones and twos out
on the field this week, where weeks prior when he
was a limited participant and he didn't play, he's throwing
(05:46):
two receivers on the practice clad. So that is definitely
a step in the right direction, and if he's able
to come back, that's a huge boost for this offense.
And not in a disrespectful way to back up to
Kobe percent who actually did a very nice job moving
to change the two starts he had with the Cardinals,
But Murray just offers a different skill set and especially
with his leg, so it's still a ways away from
(06:10):
that decision having he made, especially you know, the extra
day on a Monday game gives this team an extra
day to make a final decision on that based on
Murray's health. But I will tell you if Murray is
healthy enough to play, he will play. He is that
competitive and the fact that this is his hometown team
at a teen t stadium where he's nine to zero
(06:31):
dating back to high school. If he's helpy enough to play,
he'll be out on that field.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (06:37):
Let me ask, when he wasn't made available for his
normal media availability this week, do you think they're playing
games with trying to make the Cowboys wonder if it's
going to be him or Brissett or or you know,
just the fact that it's a day later. What do
you think was going on there? They're trying to pull
a Baltimore here with an Jackson.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
What do you think?
Speaker 2 (06:59):
No, not not pull h Lamar Jackson. I think that's
It's probably a little bit of both, Christie. It's a
little bit of a chess game. But the reality is
is having the game pushed back a day then later
than normal does give the team some more options to
do that. You know what is interesting is the last
two times the Cardinals made that decision and ended up
(07:20):
being Bresette who play. Now, that was three weeks ago
that that started of not really having an idea that
first time, per set started until game day whether or
armor is going to be helping us to go. So
that's understandable. But but I think part of it too
is just having the game moves back a day and
really making sure that Maurice's healthy enough and ready to go.
(07:43):
But I don't I'll make those decisions on who speaks
and when they speak. Unfortunately, Christy, i'ma not that high
up on the toto.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
Hool Danny Uh.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
When you started looking at y'all's running back room, it
has been decimated by injury. Easy to start well to
start the season. It seems like Bam Knight might get
the bulk of the carries this weekend, and I just
wanted to know just kind of how the team feels
about that. You know, is there any optimism about his
(08:15):
ability to run the ball and what are you folks
expecting over there?
Speaker 2 (08:19):
There is optimism with dam Knight. It was somewhat of
us surprise that he was the final running back on
the initial fifty three to round out that room, just
because he was a newcomer. You're right, tow shit, it
has absolutely been decimated.
Speaker 7 (08:33):
You know.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
The Cardinals is the heart and soul of this offense.
James Connor in a run first offense to a pretty
gnarly injury early in the season, and the following week
Trey Benson gets hurt and you have to put your
starting running back on injury reserve back to back weeks.
And this is the final week that Benton has to
miss for IR. So that'll be a name to keep
(08:55):
an eye on moving forward if he makes his return
from knee injury.
Speaker 7 (08:59):
Vam night.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
It has looked good though, and the opportunities he's had,
and that number is just going to skyrocket this week
against the Cowboys because the Cardnolds had originally called up
Michael Carter, they had signed the active roster from the
practice squad, and then this week they decided to cut
him and reassign him to the practice squad, which tells
me that Knight is going to get majority of the
(09:20):
carries now. Amari de Mercado, who is typically the third
down back, is limited with an inkle injury, but has
been out at practice, so that that leads me to believe,
especially with the move to Carter, that it's trending towards
the Marii being able to be play to play rather
which he hadn't the last game because that ankle injury.
But what Knight does a really good job of is
(09:42):
moving north and south, not necessarily east to west, and
he's got a little bit of a switch to him.
He can turn the jets on. But for a Cardinals
offense that has really struggled to run the ball, look,
this is an opportune time against truly a Cowboys defense
that is struggling in a lot of ways, including against
(10:02):
the run, and this is an opportunity for the Cardinals
to kind of get things going in that area, especially
if Benson is able to make his return next week.
And even with Benson and with Connor to start the season,
they struggled to run the ball, which has been a
big talking point out in Arizona just because of the
carryover in personnel on offense, including that offensive line, that
(10:23):
running backster, in, the quarterback, the play caller. So that
is an area of the offense that the Cardinals absolutely
want to pick up in the back half of the season.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
Basically they yeah, great.
Speaker 7 (10:37):
But what was the perception of Clayton Adams there and
when he left for the Cowboys? Was it perceived as
a blow because he's been a godsend here in Dallas
and you know how badly the Cowboys struggled with running
the ball last year and it's just a whole new
thing this year.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Absolutely, Yeah, big props to Clayton Adams. Look at everyone
in the building had a lot of respect for him,
and so a lot respect for him. And you understand
that move is it's not a while on move that's
a huge promotion. Is it's become an offensive coordinator in
the league. So everyone in the building was excited for him.
And I will say, you know, it's not always as
easy as just an offensive line coach, right of you
(11:18):
can only coach so much and then it's in the
player's hands to a certain extent. But yeah, I mean, look,
Adams did a lot of really great things for this
Cardinals offense, and you guys are getting a good look
at that now in Dallas, So excited for him on
that front.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
I want to stick to y'all's offense. But Kyler Murray
specifically in his mobility. I mean, he's the leading rusher
over there, my goodness. But you talk about this Dallas
run game, that's a defensive run game has struggled all
year against mobile quarterbacks running backs as a whole. But
how much do you expect to see Kyler Murray's mobility
(11:52):
considering he is coming off of an injury.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
That's a really great, great question, and I think that's
a question is probably not going to have a lot
of light shut on it until Murray does speak to
the media. Yeah, he's got one hundred and seventy three
rushing yards, which definitely makes them the leading rusher on
the team. But you're right, well, he is the only
quarterback to lead their team in rushing yards, and that's
(12:16):
not necessarily a great step. But then when you look
at the nuance of it and you see that very
few quarterbacks, you know, maybe the size of Lamar Jackson
really has that ability that skill set that Murray has.
So it'll be interesting absolutely to see what mobility he
has with his foot injury. Given the fact that he's
missed two weeks and now again he did have that
(12:37):
third week to rest up, I would still expect that
there's to a certain extent, right his ability to use
their legs and to run and to keep a defense
honest and to extend plays in a way that makes
unique and how he's able to do that, but that
is for sure something to keep an eye on is
how mobile will he be. And not only that, but
(12:59):
you know how many designs run run place or the
quarterback have given all of that. But again, like if
Murray's healthy enough to go out there, he will absolutely
be suited up.
Speaker 7 (13:10):
I want to ask you about one of the truly
ascending players throughout the entire league. Really really, I think
last year national stage just really exploded. But your Pro
Bowl tied end Trey McBride. And you know, the stats
are terrific Brisett included on third down conversions and stuff,
(13:32):
And so how much of that do you think is
McBride And where have you seen the most growth? Because
again I think he's an ascending player for the entire league.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Absolutely, I mean, especially without James Connor being on the field,
Trey McBride had become the heart and soul of this offense,
and not necessarily in the raw, odd type of way
on the bench, more so how he plays the game
and the spectacular place that McBride makes. I mean, he's
got an incredible catch radius, strong sticky hands, and he
(14:06):
refuses to go down on first contact. It takes multiple
defenders to bring the whole Pro Bowl tight end down.
He's got five or more receptions in all seven games
this year, which tells me that while yes, he looks
good with Jacoby Brissett, McBride has had three receiving touchdowns
in those last two games. It also tells me that
he's consistent with whichever quarterback he has out there. And
(14:27):
amongst tight ends the league, I mean, he's number one
in targets, number two in catches behind Jake Ferguson and
he number sis in yards after catch, And for an
offense that at the moment doesn't know who their quarterback
is going to be and has been rolling with a backup,
a run game that is still looking to get going,
number one receiver who is still looking to have a
(14:50):
breakout game of the season. It's all the more important
to rely on the reliable players, and the most reliable
player truly is McBride, who is just a force to
be wrecked with.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
That's a fantastic question.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
Uh, Danny, you will be here on Monday?
Speaker 2 (15:05):
I sure will?
Speaker 8 (15:07):
You got?
Speaker 6 (15:08):
I might ask a question about something you got some
snacks or a food place that you gotta have when
you come back to Dallas.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Oh man, that's a good question.
Speaker 7 (15:19):
Like that.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Oh gosh, I you know there there's a lot of
good sushi plays out here, a Greek restaurant that I've
grown up loving out in the area called Costas, But
HUDs your house is a classic go to for me.
Mind you get some barbecue? Truthfully, I'm I'm I'm actually
here early. I got in late left NDE. I got
home a little after midnight, just to spend a few
(15:42):
extra days here. And I'll mostly be on anties. It's
kind of whatever, whatever my news in the moon for.
Speaker 6 (15:48):
I know, I'm excited for you, but you kind of
returning back to the to the house. What what you
were looking forward to outside of the game.
Speaker 7 (15:57):
Yeah, and you have a lot of the viewers and
listeners of Cowboy Dallas, Cowboys dot Com, and Cowboys Radio
that are still fans of yours, and so I just
want to you know, no, I say that truly, and
are you loving working with the Cardinals and how different
is it from working with the Cowboys?
Speaker 2 (16:19):
If it is, I am, It's been great. You know,
I truly can't believe that this is my fifth season,
my fourth year. I went out September of twenty twenty one,
and it's like you blink and all of a sudden,
here you are. It really has been great. I'm really grateful.
You know, twofold from a personal and professional standpoint of
(16:39):
Phoenix is a great place to live. I find its
similar to Dallas in a lot of ways. Doesn't get
as cold. It's just a little hotter, but it's a
dry heat, right, So that's what everyone says, and it
makes a little more manageable and in terms of work like.
It really has been a great spot for me to
grow professionally as well. No market in the world covers
(17:02):
the NFL and their local team the way Dallas market
covers the Cowboys. I will tell you that that was
maybe one of the bigger adjustments, you know, up not
star in a negative light to the Cardinals, but in
a very positive way to the work that the Dallas media,
both those who work for the team and don't work
for the team do covering the Cowboys. But it really
(17:23):
has been great, and I'm shocked how much time has
flown by, and I am appreciative. I do still see
some of the tweets and messages I get from Cowboys
Nation from being there handful of years ago at this point,
and I am still just as appreciative and grateful for
the love and support as I was back then.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
What do you miss most about being in Dallas?
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Oh, I'd be remiss if I didn't say my family, right,
family and friends that are out here. I am grateful
that it's a one stop shop right to come back
and see everyone. It's just one location I get to
see everyone, And you know, I did miss I missed
the people that you know I worked with out there.
We always we always have a great time, so I'm
(18:06):
excited to be back and to see some familiar faces.
He will be out at the stadium Monday.
Speaker 5 (18:12):
All right, I've got one last question. I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Clayton Adams talked about how much of an amazing player
Buddha Baker is. Talk about him and the challenge he
will bring for a quarterback like Dak Prescott in terms
of what you possibly look at pre snap and what
the covers look like and what he's doing post snap.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
There are not many Budda Bakers in the league. I
will tell you that usually when an opposing quarterback is
trying to redefense and not just looking for the mic,
they're looking for number three. I mean, Baker is as
skilled physically and mentally as they come. He has seen
it all at this point in the league, and he
has such a unique skill set to be able to
(18:51):
truly play all over the field. Quarterbacks don't like to
throw his way very often, and with good reason. I mean,
the Pro Bowl safety is just so skilled in his
ability to also blitz and and and run through the
tackles and be forced to be reckoned with there as well,
and when you talk about the heart and fill of
the offense being you know, a James Connor or Trey McBride,
(19:14):
there is no doubt that it is Buddha Baker on
the defense, and that is someone who is more of
that raw rock player. Is hyping people up on the bench,
and he's making sure that people are working in and
he's incredibly competitive, and you know, the Cardinals are very
full and very lucky that he is on this defense.
And I don't be interesting to see the role that
(19:35):
Baker plays and if we do see him blitzing a
little bit more with the return of cornerback Garrett Williams,
who is trending to return to the field Monday. Williams,
who is one of the best lock corners in the league.
That's that's how it ended last year with a couple
of rankings, has missed the last five games with a
(19:56):
knee injury he suffered at the end of Week two,
the Cardinal home opener. And Williams is somebody who is
incredibly intelligent and very physically skilled in his ability out
in the field, and he doesn't just play in the
flot But I would expect to see if Williams makes
his return this week to maybe play outside a little bit.
It was where he played in college at Syracuse, but
(20:17):
Williams hasn't played outside as a Cardinal.
Speaker 7 (20:19):
Now.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
By the time training camp perhaps up, Cardinals were already
without two of their starting cornerbacks and Sean Murphy bunting
and so doing Thomas, So we were seeing Williams play
outside in training camp a little bit. Didn't really see
that through the first two games, necessarily besides a handful
of snaps butt. If Williams makes his return Monday, I'll
be curious to see where he lines up. And if
(20:40):
he does line up, you know, outside or if he's
able to slide in, you can add another cornerback like
Maximeelan or people Johnson, the rookie out there. How does
that affect someone like Baker? Right, if you had somebody
like Williams in the slot and you have somebody that
you can move him outside, maybe, how does that open
up the playbook for someone like Baker who you can
and do us all over the field?
Speaker 6 (21:01):
Does do you think that he's going to if he's
on the outside, do you think he'll replace Max Milton?
Speaker 2 (21:07):
That's a great question. I would expect them to use
probably a bit of a rotation and just got a
little bit already. But look, they both been playing a lot.
But it would be hard to argue to bring the
working will Johnson off the field, who really has playing
very well, very clean, very disciplined football. The fact that
(21:28):
he's not getting targeted the way that he was Week
one in New Orleans by Spencer Ratler really tells you
the respect he is quickly garnering around the league.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
All Right, Danny, we appreciate you so much.
Speaker 4 (21:38):
We were going to let you go, our girl, but
so great have you on here, gave us some great
stuff and well, I'm not wishing the best on Monday, but.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
I understan I appreciate y'all having me on. I hope
you have a great weekend announcing you guys Monday.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
I see nice great stuff from Yeah, that's.
Speaker 7 (21:59):
Also that's great stuff.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
Yeah, Yeah, she's she's she's so knowledge.
Speaker 7 (22:04):
That's really good. Charlie. Find out more about Williams who
because I would think they're expecting with the cornerback, and
that would be interesting if they if he's an inside
guy and they try him at outside, because they really
could do different things with Budda Bak.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
I don't want it very interesting. I don't want to
see good stuff.
Speaker 6 (22:22):
Yeah, and then I mean we know like they gotta
like defenses, have to do things to kind of shake
up with Dakasine, which made that point Nicoll. Maybe that
like you're saying, maybe he opens up the door now
he is coming back from an injury. How do they
sounds like she said, Danny said, there's gonna kind of
be a rotation.
Speaker 7 (22:38):
Yeah, that's if he plays. But you know, it's kind
of like Doran Bland. I mean, it's so rare to
find a guy like that that that can it's equally
adept at both inside and outside.
Speaker 4 (22:47):

You already ready, bull or bust.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
The Cowboys offense will lead the game in time of
possession by at least five minutes.
Speaker 6 (26:09):
I'm gonna go bullseye. Dallas has performed well offensively at home.
It's been on the road that they've had the majority
of issues. I think they're averaging what's over thirty five
points at home this year over.
Speaker 7 (26:21):
Forty over forty forty at home.
Speaker 6 (26:23):
So I expect for them to kind of do what
they've done offensively.
Speaker 7 (26:29):
It's just.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
Come on with us by five minutes.
Speaker 5 (26:35):
Five minutes.
Speaker 7 (26:35):
It's a lot of time. Seven look at games. It's
not that it did really don't. I think it's going
to be close. I think it's going to be more
bigger plays for the Cowboys with the scoring strikes. So
I'll go bust. That's a great one though.
Speaker 11 (26:50):
Okay, cool yeah, like that those a good one, bullseye
or bust Dak Prescott will throw for three hundred plus
yards and three plus touchdownsday night.
Speaker 7 (27:01):
I'll go, I'll go three touchdowns. Well, you know what,
I'll go bullseye because I just said that I'm committed.
I said that I think they're going to get some
big plays. So okay, bullseye, why be any different at
home this this week?
Speaker 5 (27:15):
That's not as I say.
Speaker 6 (27:16):
I'm gonna yeah, yeah, And I don't know if y'all
know the quarterback, but the quarterback be taking stuff personally,
and I'm sure he wants to bounce back from that
game that he had last week. I expect for him
to come out and really be focused and take your shots.
Speaker 7 (27:31):
So yes, I'm gonna go bulls eye too. What are
you saying on you think that you think he's gonna
hit three at least?
Speaker 5 (27:37):
She's like, that's why I'm asking.
Speaker 7 (27:39):
I'm asking the questions. Now answer I.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
Think I'm gonna do.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
I think they're gonna get a col passing touchdowns, maybe
two Russian touches.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
Okay, yeah, I'm gonna go with that. That's fair. Let's
do this, bulls No, it's your turn.
Speaker 7 (27:52):
Oh god, Christy Bullseye or Bust.
Speaker 5 (27:57):
Okay, that's her so good. Was actually kind of the heck,
that's all that radio. Don't do it, Chris.
Speaker 7 (28:06):
Incompetent.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
Shoot, Bill's I can't even talk.
Speaker 7 (28:13):
Just shocked me.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
Dallas run game will.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
Average over five yards per Carrie.
Speaker 7 (28:18):
Oh, I guess it's round David. Yeah, I don't know
about that.
Speaker 5 (28:22):
I just make the statement, well what you do what
we did say?
Speaker 7 (28:24):
We got Cooper b b back Wow that the double
team master. Yeah, yeah, I don't I'm just gonna I
think it'll be right out five.
Speaker 5 (28:38):
Four points.
Speaker 6 (28:42):
It's gonna be a buzz, but it's gonna be closed.
Speaker 7 (28:46):
Oh god, christis is so good. I have to back
that up.
Speaker 5 (28:50):
Okay, but hers was like it's okay, try again, you
got it.
Speaker 7 (28:54):
That's that's all that. Watch bulls Eye or Bust. Here
you go. Good job.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
That was like better, that's better, that's better. All right.
I don't know if y'all are I already know the
answer to this one.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Cowboys are gonna get four sacks Monday night.
Speaker 7 (29:14):
M I'll go bust. I'll go bust.
Speaker 6 (29:20):
Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna go bust. I'm gonna go bust.
But I do think they might have some tackles for
losses depending on you had a really great question. Well,
number one, this running back room is different, and so
maybe they can catch them in some miscommunications. But to
your point about who's playing, we don't know yet. Yeah,
and Kobe, despite the fact that he's not as mobile
(29:43):
as Murray, he's still a guy that will scramble a
little bit.
Speaker 7 (29:47):
He's so I wonder if maybe they.
Speaker 6 (29:49):
Get some tackles for loss or like if he's kind
of scrambling trying to find us, because he'll take off,
but he's not as quick to do it as a
column furry.
Speaker 7 (29:57):
But but the thing about Murray is when you have
quarterback like that and including Murray, sometimes instead of getting
rid of the ball quickly, they hold on to it,
and if you maintain your rush lane discipline, you can
get to them. So they will take sacks that the
Tom Brady's and Peyton Mannings and slow footed guys of
(30:18):
the world will not take because they they know they're
not going to run and they're going to get rid
of the ball quickly. So it's it seems like reverse
logic that the guys with the great legs would get sacked,
but often that's that's what happens. The other thing is
the uh the Cardinals are allowing about three and a
half sacks a week so per game, so so you
(30:42):
can get to them, but four is ambitious.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
I'm sorry, thank you for the breakdown.
Speaker 7 (30:49):
Yeah, I know, I'm sorry. I got a little carried
away bullsyon bus girl.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
That part bulls eye or busted all right? The Cowboys
defense will allow under one hundred rushing yards on the ground.
Speaker 7 (31:05):
Oh, that depends is Murray playing, because he'll get some
yardage with his legs. Even though he's coming off a
foot injury. I think he's still going to get some
some yards. May not take off as quickly as if
he weren't coming off an injury, but uh, I think
they're gonna get over one hundred. So with no Murray,
(31:28):
I think they're gonna get at least one hundred.
Speaker 6 (31:30):
Okay, bus bus, Yeah, okay, and get me that's okay,
all right?
Speaker 4 (31:39):
Bulld eye or bus Dallas will win by ten or
more points.
Speaker 7 (31:45):
Oh wow, do you want that one? I wish I
went first last time. Mincles.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
Uh, Dallas will win by ten or Maspontos.
Speaker 6 (32:05):
I'm going to say no, but not because of the Cowboys,
because they're they're they're we expect them to put.
Speaker 7 (32:11):
Up points out. I'm gonna say no because.
Speaker 6 (32:14):
The Cardinals have a habit of playing close games. Yeah,
they have a habit of playing close games. But then
at the same time, they allow a lot of points in.
Speaker 7 (32:22):
The fourth quarter.
Speaker 6 (32:23):
So maybe Das pulls away in that fourth.
Speaker 9 (32:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (32:25):
Every every game the Cardinals have played has been a
one score game this year. They Yeah, they've lost five
in a row, so it's like, oh man by a
combined thirteen points for those five in a row, So
this is gonna be a close game. The other this
is crazy two and five team, and they have scored
one hundred and fifty three points and allowed one hundred
(32:46):
and fifty four, so their point differential is minus one.
And yet they're two and five, so they can think
they're not a bad It's no, it's no ask bad.
Look they what's the thing? Finish, Finish, Finish. They've not
been able to finish even though they've had the ball,
even with briset and there. They had the ball with
throws in the end zone against Green Bay and lost
(33:09):
and then had last possession the previous week and had
a chance to win. So this is gonna be close games.
So I'm gonna go bust Bus all.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
Right, bulls eye or Bus.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
The Cowboys will turn the ball over three times.
Speaker 7 (33:23):
Bust till Bus. My quarterback ain't doing it.
Speaker 5 (33:27):
I'm telling you how.
Speaker 7 (33:28):
Yeah, and Arizona. Arizona at least through their first seven
games have not been good at forcing the turn. They're
low takeaway, so I think they have seven.
Speaker 6 (33:38):
Yes, Bullseye or bus.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
Stallus will allow the Cardinals to score twenty eight points.
Speaker 7 (33:47):
Bullseyeesh ye, Barnacles.
Speaker 6 (33:54):
Yeah, well the Tackey mushroom is.
Speaker 5 (33:59):
Gonna be We're gonna let him score.
Speaker 6 (34:01):
The guy was gonna let him score how much?
Speaker 7 (34:02):
Twenty eighth?
Speaker 6 (34:08):
It's just the fact that we have to contemplate that
at home. I'm gonna go bullseye until I see otherwise.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
Okay, you're ready, Yeah, Bullseye or bust. Arizona's defense will
record four.
Speaker 7 (34:23):
Sex not bust Yeah, Jack, get rid of the ball.
I think I think they can put some pressure on
Oh yeah, sure, I'm hey Denver, he was completely harassed.
That was you know, and it wasn't and he still
was only sacked twice. He was able to get rid
of the ball.
Speaker 6 (34:42):
Say that like he had some picks, but the game
as a whole, he did not.
Speaker 7 (34:47):
Play terribly given them. See he was exactly go.
Speaker 11 (34:50):
Ahead and him, thank you, Yes, bullseye or bust.
Speaker 7 (34:56):
That one's probably my best one.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
All right, ceedee, lamb will be held to you under
forty five receiving yards bust.
Speaker 7 (35:04):
I think he'll have more.
Speaker 5 (35:05):
Oh, it's gonna be a bust. I'll be ready to
fight if you will only have full.
Speaker 6 (35:10):
But I mean, like she talked about, like, well, Johnson
is a player and the you know, we'll see how
they decide to use him.
Speaker 7 (35:15):
Do you think did have they traveled anybody this year?
I should ask Danny dang it, I'll ask her before
the game. I don't see if I can look, go
go ahead, yea bullseye or.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
Bus. George Pickens will lead the team and receiving yards
and have I'm gonna go with one hundred and twenty
five receiving yard.
Speaker 7 (35:35):
Ooh, one hundred and twenty five. That's a lot. Can
I do half? I think he'll the team and receiving receptions.
I don't know about that. I'd a heck with it, bullseye.
Speaker 6 (35:46):
What do you said?
Speaker 5 (35:47):
One twenty five? I'm gonna go bullseye.
Speaker 7 (35:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
I think he has a couple of big, big plays
that make that bigger and then maybe some he's becoming
a slint, a slint monster.
Speaker 9 (35:57):
You know.
Speaker 7 (35:57):
Run after catch is of you know, I think it'd
be some run after catchyards included in that.
Speaker 6 (36:02):
He's so interesting and I and he said coming into
this year, I think even when you talk to him
at training camp, Nicole, he mentioned that he wanted to
really show he's a rap runner.
Speaker 7 (36:11):
He's showing that.
Speaker 6 (36:12):
Yeah, he's absolutely showing that that. He he's so quick
off the line, y'all, like his release He's so sneakily
fast out of his releases, like when he takes that stuff.
I think he's been a great pick up for Dallas
so far.
Speaker 7 (36:23):
All Right, Well that was a nice one because I
was like, Yeah, that's my.
Speaker 5 (36:33):
Job, job hard.
Speaker 7 (36:35):

instead of handing.
Speaker 5 (39:41):
It out, instead of just realized it is.
Speaker 6 (39:43):
I don't know, I might go see that scary movie.
Speaker 5 (39:45):
Really. What's your favorite candy? Christy?
Speaker 7 (39:49):
One hundred thousand dollar bars? That it's like Normally's crunch,
but it's it's not by nets anyway. It's got the
caramel in it.
Speaker 6 (39:57):
Yeah, the chocolate.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
I like that.
Speaker 6 (40:01):
I like one hundred grand bar.
Speaker 5 (40:03):
Yeah, good dad.
Speaker 7 (40:05):
What's my favorite candy?
Speaker 6 (40:07):
Yeah, huh, I think, well, Oh, I love I'm a
sucker for a turtle.
Speaker 7 (40:13):
Oh yeah. Well, let's just say it's like a caramels.
It's got peanut or pecan and covered in chocolate.
Speaker 6 (40:22):
It's yu And then I like the Bueno bars. It's
like a bougie kick cat.
Speaker 5 (40:29):
Like screaming.
Speaker 12 (40:31):
Y'all.
Speaker 6 (40:32):
First of all, don't let her, yes, because Nicole, y'all,
don't trust her. If you want to know about sweets,

Speaker 5 (40:42):
I don't know that. Don't snitch on me.
Speaker 7 (40:47):
She's good places, really good.
Speaker 5 (40:49):
All right, Christy, you got some treats for us.
Speaker 7 (40:52):
Well, since it's it's a Halloween version of fun Facts,
which means that we got to twist it and make
it spooky scary and ran across. Something that explains that
is among many things that explains the defensive woes this
year for the Cowboys. They're the worst defense in the
(41:13):
NFL on third down. Right, they've given up the second
most yards in the league, over four hundred yards a game.
But the problem is they're so bad on third down
because they're allowing so many yards on first down. What
do you think an average gain is on first down? Like,
if you get four or five yards on first down,
(41:34):
that's good.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Right.
Speaker 7 (41:34):
If you're an offense, you want to stay ahead of
the sticks. You want to give yourself second and short
third and short. This explains a lot the Cowboys defense,
can we guess sure?
Speaker 5 (41:45):
They give up.
Speaker 7 (41:47):
Twelve twelve's way too eight on first down? Yeah, first
down eight six point seven. That's awful, nearly seven yards
on first down. So you want to improve your defense.
We talk on offense, you have to win first down, yeah,
and stay ahead on the sticks. What the Cowboys defense
is doing is they're losing on first down consistently, which
(42:11):
and giving up big plays. I'll save that for next
week because that's too much scariness for one Halloween. So
we'll carry that into November and talk about how they've
been gashed with so many big plays this year. Okay,
I'll say it right now. They've given up If you
combine ten plus yard runs and twenty plus yard pass plays,
(42:31):
that's how you define it. Sixty three so far this year, guys,
sixty three is how many plays there are in an
average NFL game.
Speaker 5 (42:41):
You said sixty three.
Speaker 7 (42:41):
They've given up sixty three big plays this year, combined
pass and run. So that's frightening, yes, so appropriate for Halloween.
So I'm sorry. It's not a fun fact. It's scary facts.
But that's what has to improve, is being better on
first down, limiting the big plays, or does matter if
you're playing Kyler Murray, Jacoby Brissett or the ghost of
(43:06):
y A Tittle, You're not gonna You're not gonna win
in this league consistently if your defense is allowing that.
Speaker 5 (43:12):
And you know what yesterday, you know, we heard from coordinators.
Speaker 4 (43:15):
We heard from defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus and he was asked,
you know, do you feel like that the players are
still kind of getting used to your scheme?
Speaker 5 (43:26):
He say, he doesn't think it's that. So how do
y'all fix these defensive woes?
Speaker 4 (43:32):
Because we're hearing the word fundamentals get thrown around, better
practice get thrown around, execute get thrown around as well. Yeah,
when you ask the guys, there's confusion there. So yeah,
I mean, how do you get better?
Speaker 7 (43:50):
Here? Here's the thing alignment assignment execution. I was about
to say and and and they're missing not every person
every place. All it takes is one misidentification, one miscommunication,
but the very basics of defensive football alignment assignment execution,
and there are breakdowns at each of those levels, at
(44:15):
too many points in the game, by too many different players.
You can't blame it all on youth. You can't blame
it all on execute, on injuries and all the substitutions
and the like. So yeah, it's it's very basic, and
that's what makes it makes it so frustrating. If it
were one thing that you can identify, then then maybe
(44:37):
you could fix it. But it's so different. Breakdowns.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
Yeah, all right, it's time for our farmer's dog. Dog dog.
Now that was bad.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
It's time of our farmer's dog dog that was still
not scary dog of the game.
Speaker 5 (44:50):
All right, what y'all.
Speaker 6 (44:52):
Got, uh my dog at a game? I think the
the dog of the game is going to be I'm
gonna give it to Donovan Zaraku. I know, like we
we've been talking about and Naim like him getting closer
and stuff like that, but I feel like he's gonna
really start turning these into sacks and to really start
(45:14):
affecting the passer. And I think this is a game
where you're gonna need him too, And I think he
is coming out of his cage a little bit.
Speaker 7 (45:25):
Who you got.
Speaker 5 (45:28):
I want to be different? I'm gonna go Brevin span Ford.
You want to want I said him?
Speaker 6 (45:32):
He said him the other week and yeah, he was
out there rolling.
Speaker 4 (45:35):
Yeah, but I don't want to see him too much blocking.
I want to see him a little bit more in
the passing game, just because you already know what you're
getting out of Jake Ferguson and the other guys. I
want to see him a little bit more. Give, give
this defense from Arizona something to kind of think about
a little bit.
Speaker 5 (45:50):
So yeah, I'm gonna go.
Speaker 7 (45:52):
Okay, all right, I'm going Jake Ferguson. He was shut
out last week and missed National tight Ends Day. I
think Monday night's gonna be National tight Ends Night because
with McBride and Ferguson out there, the top two tight
ends in the league this year and statistically and production wise,
I mean truly production wise and what they've meant to
(46:12):
their teams. So so Ferguson, that's my guy.
Speaker 9 (46:16):
All right.
Speaker 4 (46:17):
Great, Happy Halloween, everybody, Halloween, be careful. A treat for
the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. Football Boy be back Tuesday,
right Tuesday, Yes, that's the next day.
Speaker 5 (46:28):
