Speaker 1 (00:01):
The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com
and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
This is Girls Talk, Boys Talk, presented by invisi Line,
trusted by over five hundred NFL players for their winning smiles,
and broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World headquarters at the Star.
Now your host, Nicole Hutchison.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Wake Up, Cowboys Nation.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Welcome to a Girls Talk Boys Talk presented by Invisiline
and the SWBC Studio.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
I'm Nicole Hutchinson.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
Alongside Brianna Aldridge, Hisham Warrison. We got a special guest
coming in the studio later in the show, but first
y'all know to Drew, we gotta.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Talk about this loss. Cowboys. Maw, I'm getting straight to it,
like the energy. I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
Yeah, it made it feel like it wasn't so bad.
It was bad, all right.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Arizona comes to our trap, takes over our trap. Cowboys
fall twenty seven to seventeen in Week nine to the
Arizona Cardinals without their starting quarterback in Kyler Murray.

Speaker 6 (01:10):
Kobe Brissette says, I got this.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
I don't know why I'm so animated this morning. I know,
but I'm kind of digging it because yeah, I'm gotta
no problem.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
I got you.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
But Cowboys now three to five and one in the season,
where are.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
We star ladies, because there's a lot of.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Things to discuss.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
This defense, this offense obviously not in rhythm as well
either special teams.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Though at one play, yeah, well, I was like, it's fine.

Speaker 7 (01:42):
I wouldn't they won't the grade either.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
It wasn't, but.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
They made plays one play when they they used their head.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
It's fine. Thoughts on the loss?

Speaker 4 (01:51):
The biggest takeaway.

Speaker 8 (01:54):
What you got, Well, I mean, it just wasn't a
team game. I mean, I just felt like the defense struggled,
the offense struggle. You need the offense to come out
and start fast. They weren't able to capitalize in the
red zone. Defense can't get nobody off the field on
third down.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
I'll repeat, mkay.

Speaker 7 (02:16):
That's all I got.

Speaker 8 (02:16):
Like, I wish I had something more, Like I know
we're gonna go into like in depth, but from just
watching the game and like midway through it, I normally
don't eat during the game cause I.

Speaker 7 (02:24):
Got MiG anxiety. Babe. I put that rotatory chicken in
the air fry.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Oh that's not good.

Speaker 8 (02:31):
Got because I just, I mean, what do we This
is just it's it's nothing like seeing your defense just
not be able to be able to get off the
field on the third on third down and especially third
and longs, but also too offensively this last two weeks, Man,
these guys have not been able to really get in

(02:51):
a rhythm. Uh, these guys have not been able to
really establish the ground game and so and that's a
constant way we see this. When Dallas cannot establish the
ground game, it really affects, you know, their ability to
move down the field at times. So this is it's
a weird time going into the bye what you got.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
Because I'm like, I'm trying to if not ramble. It's
a lot like you said, where do we start?

Speaker 4 (03:18):
And I kind of will take how they asked Dak
Prescott in the presser when they said all these things
aren't going right the bye weeks here, what do you
focus on? And he kind of chuckled because it's like
it's a lot that you could work on during the
bye week.

Speaker 9 (03:36):
But his biggest thing was red zone. They gotta get
back in the red zone. It was very deflating for
this high speed offense. Like I used to said, we've
seen last two weeks.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Take a turn and they.

Speaker 9 (03:47):
Get the ball, they get downfield, they get down in
like four plays, it gets to the red zone and
they fall flat. And that was hard to see for again,
an offense that is expected to play at an elite
level because you know what you have on defense. And
I will say that aggressive play that they had going
for it on fourth I've heard on both sides. Right,
We've been talking about they just got to go for

(04:09):
it every time the way the defense goes, and I've
I feel like a lot of these analysts were tearing
them apart for being aggressive that early in the game
and not seeing what Jacoby Brissett could do. I don't
feel that way.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
One.

Speaker 9 (04:22):
It's kind of like, damn if you do damn if
you don't defense that you have. I don't feel like
it was a bad call. I was like, okay, and
I saw some stuff like this and people were like,
isn't this what you guys wanted? We don't need to
see what Jacoby Brissett can do because we know what
this defense allows any quarterback to do. We've said it
week after week after week. You've made quarterbacks who are

(04:46):
struggling offensively.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
And there's a.

Speaker 9 (04:48):
Crazy stat that Todd Archer had the other day. I
wish I could pull it up in this moment where
he showed the numbers and got into it about how
teams come and play us the get right game and
then they drop off. Literally there's numbers that they drop
off the game after they face the Cowboys and go
back to tendencies and the struggles.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Harrison is a guy who Bill Jones.

Speaker 9 (05:13):
Talked to me yesterday prior to our pregame chat about
this is the guy was really rooting for when I
was looking at the draftis on my top.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
He hasn't really got into rhythm.

Speaker 9 (05:21):
Got into rhythm last night, honey, sure did really got
into rhythm. He looked like that guy we knew McBride
would he bring what he was bringing, but to have
Marvin Harrison go out there and the challenge they.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Brought, I have a career day, by the way, and
just said.

Speaker 9 (05:34):
Ron Bland getting cooked the way he did your best
who's supposed to be your best dB right now with
all the health issues and who just made ninety mil
play like that. I know it's never one person, but
it's kind of like you guys when you play, you know, when.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
You show your best card, you save your best card.
They took our best card quick and then hit you
with a draw.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Full please back to back.

Speaker 8 (06:02):
So I agree it it just feels like, I mean,
during watching the game and just kind of going through
the process of the game, you just at this point
you're just starting to you expect, you know, things.

Speaker 7 (06:18):
Not to go well.

Speaker 8 (06:19):
And in regard to the you know, the fourth down
calls and some of the aggressiveness that Shoddy displayed bring
you make a great point about last week is that
a lot of people thought he should have been more
aggressive in spots. My only issue is is the it's
the it's the situational play calling in the sense of, okay,
so if you are if you know you're probably gonna

(06:41):
go for it on fourth, then let's let's try to
run the ball on third.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
You know, let's try to let's try to get as close.

Speaker 8 (06:46):
Because that's another thing too, is like a lot of
Dallas's red zone trips.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
They are like close very much. So they they're close.

Speaker 8 (06:54):
And I and and another thing too, And I will
say this is a copycat league saw it last week
with the Broncos. They dropped more and coverage and only
rushed with three guys.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Yeah, and that is.

Speaker 8 (07:05):
Making it hard on your you know, your receivers to
get open. And then also to another issue is is
that you're running back who Javonte Williams. I know, we'll
talk about him, even though he had to fumble yesterday
and some of the issues he passed blocked his tail
off and.

Speaker 7 (07:24):
Awesome, love it, but when your running.

Speaker 8 (07:26):
Back has to do that, then you know, it takes
away from them being able to do things in the
flats and being that other option.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
Whatch you got?

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Yeah, no, it's fine.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
I mean this offensive line struggled, that's no secret.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
Which is really a bomber.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
They allowed nineteen pressures on thirty nine drawbacks. That was
a forty eight percent pressure rate allowed. Yak was hit
nine times, sacked five times Monday night. Not necessarily the
recipe for success. But even when you're talking about later
in the game, like we've we talked about it all week,
the Cardinals typically don't, but they allow a lot of

(08:02):
points in the fourth quarter. They had opportunities second, second
to last drive. You had a promising drive of course
Dak Prescott using his legs and you had Davonte Williams fumble.
Last drive of the game, Dak was sacked twice. I
believe that was so that was three sacks in the
last two drives combined. So getting behind the sticks certainly
an issue as well.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
But I mean, I don't know, I mean, getting.

Speaker 8 (08:25):
The offensive line this was was disappointing. I mean, to
start the game, we got to see Javonte come out.
I thought they were getting some nice traction on the
ground on that first drive, and then after that you
just didn't see the ground game get going. But offensively,
like like we just talked about your tackles, specifically the
right tackle and we saw a change there in the

(08:47):
game really struggled. And then even your interior Tyler Tyler
Smith Tyler Booker had some some issues as well. I
mean the Cardinals, they got a couple of guys back
as the even Collins Walter Nolan, who people have been
you know, waiting to see him play because he was
one of the better defensive tackles in this draft. Obviously

(09:08):
he had an effect on the game as well. It
just seemed like a lot for those guys to handle
in some of the communication on the blitzes and stuff,
like that were an issue and Dak's clock was sped up.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
You could tell his clock was sped up.

Speaker 8 (09:22):
And that he wasn't he didn't feel comfortable maneuvering in
the pocket. So I just I expected more from this
offensive line last night.

Speaker 7 (09:30):
And I'll say that I expected more from them.

Speaker 9 (09:33):
The healthiest they've been, and I know it takes time
to get in sync. They've been in and waving back. Yeah,
it's really excited about seeing bbe.

Speaker 5 (09:40):
Back in there.

Speaker 9 (09:41):
And we heard from Tyler Smith after the game about
you know, them also taking the bye week and seeing
what this O line has but also even though they're
in there, understand that they're not one hundred percent.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
So that was a big thing he talked about too.

Speaker 9 (09:57):
Was health wise you all the tackles, I think, like
I usually just said, we're very much exposed.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
Sweat was he was just they were switching sic side.

Speaker 9 (10:10):
He was exactly he was given prom because I was like,
I was like, who how was he disrupting? But like
like you said, they had him all over the field
for a reason and it was I don't know if
it goes to game planning or or or what, but
they were getting work. That was the most we saw
Prescott all season scramble as much as he did as

(10:32):
he did last night.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
That's two bad.

Speaker 9 (10:34):
I'm I'm a little nervous, y'all in the fact that
that's two weeks where he's taken a lot of hits,
and he did talk about his ankle. He did roll
his ankle last night, and he said that he felt
obviously better enough or good enough to come back in.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
But I don't like the QB playing on the world ankle.

Speaker 9 (10:54):
I like that we have the bye week that he
gets to rest up, but yeah, he can't be taking
those types of hits week after week after week and
then to come out with an l like this.

Speaker 10 (11:06):
Please.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
You know, it's funny if you were like just this
Lerson that No, left not funny, But it is kind
of funny because like if you were just a person
that like looked at stats, you look at this stats
she and be like, oh my god, Like they.

Speaker 6 (11:20):
Both had almost three hundred and thirty plus rush total
yards of offense rushing yards, right, they were both pretty
much even passing yards the same thing.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
No, you look.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
At that film and you talk about the roch history,
Chicken Dallas was cooked.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
I'm so tired, like we've.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
Been having to spin it and like a positive way,
but like there's no positive way to spend the fact
that the Cowboys have continually continuously gotten outplayed. We're still
talking about execution at week nine, week ten, we're still
talking about fundamentals. When you have all off season to

(12:01):
work on this, Like it's getting bad last week, the
last couple of weeks.

Speaker 7 (12:06):
I'm gonna say, it's not even just it's not just outplayed.

Speaker 8 (12:09):
It's also out coach, out coach, Hello, talk about coach,
and I know that that sucks. And that's something that
I definitely definitely noticed, is like, listen, you're midway through
the season. Brad Shweinheimer is not a new play caller,
but he is a play caller that is kind of
getting back in the groove. Teams have enough film to
know what your tendency tendencies are as an offense, and

(12:31):
you know what they're deciding, I'm not gonna let you
throw the ball over the top. We're gonna make you
throw the We're gonna make you methodically go downfield. They
know that this offense is explosive. And again, this is
not synonymous to just the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
This is how a lot.

Speaker 8 (12:43):
Of teams are playing defense now against more of the
We saw a trend of this last year, a lot
of too high safety, a lot of you gotta you
gotta be disciplined going downfield, and my guy Dallas can't
do it.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
And and a lot of teams can't do it.

Speaker 8 (12:56):
But Dallas can't do it because there's so many pre
snap penalties and mistakes and getting behind the sticks or
just not positive yardage on you know, first and second down.
And so with Brian Schotenheimer, I think this is also
in Connor Riley and Clayton Adams. I think it's a
good time for those guys to also reset new staff

(13:17):
on that side and figure out, you know, hey, people
kind of are picking up on this, how can we.

Speaker 7 (13:24):
Have variations of this play that we do.

Speaker 8 (13:26):
What can we do to you know, kind of mediate
that and then also figure out the tackle situation because
that is taking away from your receive with their amount
of receivers you can put out on routes because they're
having to come help out those tackles.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
All right, we're gonna take our first break here on

Brianna Aldrige, Aisham Morrison. I just want to remind y'all

A five five two two nine seven.

Speaker 6 (16:36):
Keep it cute though, keep it real cute.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
I'm sick, I'm I'm fed up.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
At the tell him I'm tired, Billy, keep over it.

Speaker 7 (16:46):
Billy was right though.

Speaker 9 (16:47):
The fact that we thought about him as soon as
the game man, that's fine.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Broh, because we're gonna get to it later.

Speaker 5 (16:53):
We started the season so positive. That's fine.

Speaker 7 (16:55):
We did.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
We were fooled.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
We were being bustled.

Speaker 8 (16:58):
Nah, he had no he had no emotional time. He
was like, no, they're gonna win three games.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
That's what you guys, said, screaming. Here we are screaming, screaming.
All right, this defense. We've been talking about it all
season long. It has been cowboys.

Speaker 6 (17:17):
Can I use krypton?

Speaker 3 (17:19):
I wasn't use that, but it's fine kryptonite.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
It's fine allowing twenty seven points to a two and
five Arizona team.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
But we've talked about it all week long.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
This two and five record is not the farce picture,
not the perfect picture to pay for Arizona.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
They're a good team, Aisha.

Speaker 7 (17:39):
They are.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
It's weird. They just have lost close lost close games.

Speaker 8 (17:44):
But when you look within the roster, the roster building,
the coaching, and then also too, listen, I don't I
don't really do. I don't like doing a quarterback controversy,
but I know it.

Speaker 7 (17:55):
I know what I see and I believe that.

Speaker 8 (17:58):
You know, the way that Jakobe set right now is
able to just sit in the pocket, chill and deliver
the ball right now is there's a lot of talk
about what things are going to be like when Caler
Murray comes back. Is this something they're gonna continue? And again,
I know that sometimes guys come in.

Speaker 7 (18:12):
And they get on a little roll and then they go.

Speaker 5 (18:14):
Back to normal.

Speaker 8 (18:15):
But I think he just kind of fits their system
and what they want to do. And he was spinning
that thing last night, spinning it, spinning it, and so
I think I just think as an overall, they also too,
I mentioned it before, they got some guys back on
that defensive line and it helped them, and so you know,

(18:35):
it's yeah, the Cardinals are not some sham of a team.
They've just lost a lot of close games. Their quarterback
was hurt, and they came in this game. They came
into this game on a five game losing streak, and
they wanted this win and you could see it in
their behavior and you could hear it hot much.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Yeah, yeah, that's fair. They wanted this game. And not
only they want this game.

Speaker 8 (19:02):
They thought they took the game, and they thought they
could come in into this game.

Speaker 5 (19:05):
The energy they.

Speaker 9 (19:06):
Had, I think it says a lot for two and
five team to come in here with a backup QB. Nonetheless,
anytime you have a backup QB, that's supposed to be the.

Speaker 5 (19:17):
Easier game, if you will.

Speaker 9 (19:18):
And everyone was talking about, Okay, this is a winnable game.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
Kyler Murray's out.

Speaker 9 (19:23):
This is a guy who's undefeated here at AT and
T Stadium, and I was looking at Bill during the pregame,
and I was like, Jacoby's actually putting up some very
impressive numbers in his two starts that he did have
this fan base who's had Kyler Murray in twenty nineteen,
who's only been able to get that one postseason game
as far, who's really been up and down, who's, like

(19:44):
I Ush's point, hasn't shown that he can fit the
system that's trying to be built there with the guy
who's been there for a few seasons now, and they're
leaning towards getting away from Murray's what the chatter is like,
I wouldn't be surprised if that is on another team
next season. And Jacobe we said, I don't know if

(20:04):
he's the future, but he has made this offense look
like what they're trying to get going. And you saw
that last night and again for another wide receiver that
is an unknown that is trying to get back, whether
it's someone we've had veterans come back trying to get
healthy on us, We've had rookies have great games to

(20:27):
get us. What is it fifty yards that Harrison had
as a high coming into.

Speaker 8 (20:32):
Yeah game well, and then then Kareem hit his career
hard and catches and then the Cardinals and then the
Cardinals had not had a reception over fifty yards all
season until yes.

Speaker 9 (20:46):
Yesterday, and that I was actually talking to somebody, I
was like, I want to see the replay because that
that fifty yard passed I saw. I don't know what
you saw, Issha, but I saw four Cowboy defenders and
like box I s it and oh boy in the middle,
And I.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
Said, how does that happen?

Speaker 9 (21:05):
Like, I know people are out of place and you
know communication, but four you know.

Speaker 7 (21:10):
Those falling on the ground.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
This is crazy.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
We're gonna get to our caller in just a second,
but I think it's really fair that I need to
say this.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
It out.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
The Cardinals were the only team in the NFL. Oh yeah,
without a touchdown drive. Shout out Dad Warner for this.
Let me start over. The Cardinals were the only team
in the NFL without a touchdown drive of seventy four
or more yards.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
They had two against the Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
We are going to take our caller is Billy out
of for Worth and dog.

Speaker 15 (21:42):
Billy you.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Good warning, lady. You know I just dropped my kids off,
and I want to I want to call and say, supervisors,
I need to talk to him because he needs to
be y'all are raised. He used to give y'all a raise,
a tap. Y'all get on there week after week and
hype this team up and make it seem like this

(22:08):
team is gonna win. And they come out and with
the beds every week. Every week. They waited so bad.
Last night they got the Cardinals questioning if the backup
it's gonna be replaced the France five quarterback.

Speaker 8 (22:26):
That's not bad play.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
When you hear that back up replacing the France house quarterback.

Speaker 5 (22:33):
We saw it.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
But you know you're they're gonna come out after the body,
gonna whop up on the other Raiders, and we're gonna
be like, oh this defense, Oh this offense looks good,
like they clicking.

Speaker 5 (22:47):
He changed his mind.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Hey, I don't know. The Raiders look pretty bad. I
don't know. I don't know. The cowboy and the Cowboys
they some bullies. They want to kick you when you're down.
All they want to do.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
We appreciate the duality get right game, But Billy, what
was I know there was a lot. What was the
biggest What was the biggest reason why the Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (23:08):
Lost last night?

Speaker 2 (23:10):
The biggest reason, just one, just one.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Yeah, don't take up ten minutes.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
That that defense, That defense is terrible. That's a Pop
Warner defense. That they had no effort, no effort. I've
seen bad angles, no effort, chasing, down play, none of that.
The Pop Warner defense.

Speaker 7 (23:33):
The angle I can't chase now. I can't say that.
We can't we can't say the yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
Time, all right, all right, Billy, thank you, Billy, thanks
your insight.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
It's great, lovely.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
I don't think we talked about third downs enough because huh, yep,
we talked about every week. Yeah, but I'm gonna say again,
third at the third. I brought that up yesterday, yep,
because you talk about they had opportunities opening drive along.
They converted four of their first five h third down conversions.
But it wasn't like I think it was funny because

(24:09):
me and I used to were on the phone last
night and I was like, it wasn't like.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
Well, there were a couple of third and shorts, but
you talk about thirty.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
And sixteen, third and eight, third and eight, third and
ten and six, third and nine fourteen third and fourteen,
sixteen third and six.

Speaker 7 (24:27):
Twenty three.

Speaker 5 (24:29):
I'm wait, they get one. They need to.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
They're just stay the numbers.

Speaker 7 (24:32):
Now I don't like it.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
I'm saying numbers five over seven. But no, y'all, Like
it's like they play and shot even talked about it,
you know, first and second downs. They played unbelievable third downs.
It's like they just forget how to Yeah.

Speaker 7 (24:52):
Ever, now the Cardinals.

Speaker 8 (24:54):
Are weird enough because even Brie last week was like,
are you sure? Yes, they are one of the best
teams on third out And we talked about it this
week coming to this week, like what's gonna give?

Speaker 3 (25:08):
What a gave?

Speaker 5 (25:09):
They're down?

Speaker 9 (25:10):
They have like weird stats for being a mid offense,
and even they were like, I want to say, it
was like top seven time of possession and like it's like,
we don't know what they're doing out there, but they
be out there. The offense be out there, and to
that point, you saw it in the first.

Speaker 8 (25:27):
Drive the time of possession fifteen plays.

Speaker 9 (25:31):
Man, how lost six minutes almost seven minutes out there,
Like for a defense that is struggling, you.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Don't want, you don't want.

Speaker 8 (25:41):
They dominated time and possession and that was another part
of why Dallas offensively. To me, like the last two
games that you've played, teams have done this. They understand
that they have to play keep away and your defense
kind of lets them.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Yep, you wear them down, you stay out there, and
they have guys constantly rotating.

Speaker 5 (26:03):
Yeah, all game. It just looks a mess.

Speaker 4 (26:07):

Speaker 3 (29:05):
We appreciate you hopping on.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
I mean obviously our sponsors in visil Line, so we
got to kick straight to it. What was your why
and you know, starting your visil line treatment.

Speaker 16 (29:14):
Yeah, I think I kind of, like anybody, had some
crooked teeth and just things I wanted to improve my
smile overall. And I know ever since, I mean I
have braces like eighth grade.

Speaker 10 (29:33):
And then all that time. I don't know.

Speaker 16 (29:34):
I think things just like come up and something like
in visilines. Just really good to have that can improve
those things and definitely helped me a time.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
I love you got.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
Question, Oh it's fine, oor, we're about it.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
I got another one oral help as a professional player.
Why was it important for you to improve your oral health?

Speaker 16 (29:57):
I think, well, for me, I mean I think just
my health in general, and for all of us guys
who you know, play at this high of a level,
you are prioritizing your health in general. So whether that
be your oral health or your physical health. It's all
really important and I'm always looking for the best of

(30:21):
the best and I'm going to invest my time and
everything into that. And so yeah, for for me, you know,
it's it's in this case, taking care of my teeth
and my smile as best as I can. And I
was happy that I was able to have this with
in visi line because it's it's done a lot for me.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
Yeah, that was actually me too as well.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
I did in Visiligne for the past year and so
now I'm on like the night time where or whatever.

Speaker 7 (30:47):
But it's to my teeth so much.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Yeah, it's impressive.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
I shotse that braces my senior year in high school
for a year. But of course, like a child, I
lost my retainers, so I had to start of all,
it's fine.

Speaker 7 (31:04):
How do you think having your smile be confident?

Speaker 8 (31:06):
Well, having a confident smile, it has changed how you
care yourself.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
Do you feel better overall?

Speaker 16 (31:12):
Yeah? I do, And I think just with you know,
I feel like the cameras are always on us, especially
here right, and I think it does just add that
that little boost the confidence, you know, even when we're
coming off the practice field and they're asking us silly

(31:34):
questions or something, and uh, you know that those are
fun little moments.

Speaker 10 (31:41):
And so when when.

Speaker 16 (31:43):
You know you've been using in vis a line and
you know that you can smile confidently, like it just
adds to it. And uh, yeah, it's been great to have.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
All Right, we have to show love to our sponsor.
We appreciate his line for everything. But it's time to
get to the real stuff. We got to talk ball
over here on Girls Talk Boys Talk Luke for you
three second round pick.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
And you've grown over the years.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
Just talk about the confidence that you've kind of grown
in confidence, so to speak over the years and how
much has being under this coach Schottenheimer regime so to
speak kind of helped you with that air of your growth.

Speaker 16 (32:21):
Yeah, I think first of all, just going into year
three now and it's it's kind of cliche, but like
trusting the process really and and every year being around
some great some great guys, some great veterans and the offense,

(32:43):
the team, but that just seeing those guys work ethic
and trusting you know, they got to where they are
because of their work ethic and everything that they put
into it on a daily basis. And you know that
just goes into year after year that it is time

(33:06):
and it is work and it's a little bit of patience,
but it's it's great too. Yeah, also have this coaching
staff now under Shaddy, who I think just that younger energy,
attention to details, and that family aspect too, is just
so big and has been so big for the team

(33:29):
this year that I think it just gives everybody that
confidence almost like a new sense of confidence and something
that I've I've definitely ran with and really appreciate playing.

Speaker 9 (33:42):
For him someone I'm excited to ask you about because
we talk about him, give him a lot of love
on the show, because I feel like he gets a
little under the radar.

Speaker 5 (33:51):
But last couple of broadcasts he's even been talked about.

Speaker 9 (33:53):
And he's not a guy who's involved in the passing
game at all, but his ability to block is amazing
as tackling ability. How would you kind of describe Reverend's
reveran in that in that room for your guys and
just what type of guy is he to go with
every day because he's he's fun to watch.

Speaker 16 (34:09):
His Well, Yeah, and that's great that you bring him up,
because that is a guy who Uh, I think just
raises the standard for everyone around him his work ethic
and his discipline on a daily level and just every
when he steps in that facility, whether it be meetings

(34:33):
or just the interactions that we have, uh, and his
interactions with everybody.

Speaker 10 (34:40):
He really is the.

Speaker 16 (34:41):
Same guy, uh, every single day, every practice. It's he
does such a good job at just being consistent with that,
and it translates into into game day and he's been
someone that you know, as of course we're all competing
in that room. Uh, he does just such a good job.

(35:02):
But I think making me look at my own self
and and and make sure you know I'm staying on
on my own stuff. And uh, it's yeah, it's really
tremendous to see his work ethic and and see that
all pay off.

Speaker 10 (35:20):
He really does a nice job of it.

Speaker 16 (35:24):
Really hard worker and just a great a great dude
to be around every day too. Like funny, really good energy.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
Oh we see it. Finisher, he wants to finish and
then let you know, I put.

Speaker 16 (35:42):
Yeah that that is that is what Alda emphasizes in
the room. He makes yeah yep, and and Brev is
a great example of that. And yeah, again just keeps
the standard for the rest of us. So it's great
to have.

Speaker 10 (35:58):
Him in our tie in room and on that team too.
That's that's a guy that you.

Speaker 16 (36:05):
Definitely want to go into into battle with and that
I would choose absolutely.

Speaker 8 (36:11):
Every time you talked about Yeah, you talked about Brian
Schottenheimer and this coaching staff and just what it feels
like for you, you know, Clayton Adams and Connor Riley.
I mean as a tight end. You talked about the development.
There's so much you have to do and learn. You
really are an extension of the offensive line and all
those things. How have Connor Riley and Clayton Adams affected

(36:35):
kind of how things go on the offensive side, specifically
the run game and what you guys are doing.

Speaker 16 (36:39):
No, two great additions to the offensive staff this year.
And yeah, and both of them just so detail oriented. Yeah,
and I love the energy that they brought. They both
bring in just the focus and.

Speaker 10 (36:55):
I think.

Speaker 16 (36:57):
Clayton's ability to because he's a far too he is.
He's one of the funniest coaches guys on the team.
He's hilarious. I love I love being around him and
just like the one on one interactions.

Speaker 10 (37:10):
But his ability to.

Speaker 16 (37:14):
I think turn it on and off like that focus,
and uh, he he does know how to rally the
whole room, like when we're in unit meetings and everything,
and he is just is such a source of wisdom
and he knows how to fire everybody up. In the
same with Coach Riley. I mean, both of those guys

(37:35):
just like really our pleasures to have on the staff
and in the offensive room.

Speaker 10 (37:43):
And yeah, I just I love both of them. They're
such great additions.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
Luca, I have kind of like a two part question
talking about kind of last night. What stood out to
you about the way that you know, the offense kind
of operated and we've talked about out this on our show,
is you know, teams are starting to look at the
film and kind of catch y'all's tendencies. What have you
learned about how the way defenses are starting to pick

(38:09):
up on y'all's tendencies a little bit over the season.

Speaker 16 (38:13):
Yeah, I think, uh, you know, it's it's we just
have so many weapons in the offense. And I think
Shoddy talks about every week just being we're so close,
we're so close to uh playing that perfect game as
an offense, and you know, it's it's just been some

(38:36):
self inflicted wounds lately, and but I think got like
I get fired up and other guys too, just seeing
how close we are to having that perfect game, and
like I mean, when we get into rhythms and everything
and we get hot, like I don't there's not a
defense out there that can stop it. When when we

(38:56):
are all in rhythm and in sync just with Yeah,
the the weapons that we have in the run game,
in the past, game, you name it. And Shody did
say it the other day, like he hasn't been a
part of an offense like this, and he's been coaching
for a while, and I do believe that, like when
you look around and I mean the names we have

(39:18):
and the abilities that everybody has, it's it's it all
comes back to us. At the end of the day,
we'd be the ones beating ourselves. And so it yeah,
just excited to you know a game like last night
to come in today, Okay what went wrong and fix

(39:39):
those things and.

Speaker 10 (39:41):
We will.

Speaker 16 (39:42):
I yeah, I think we are just on such the
close brink to having that complete game. So I'm yeah,
really excited for it.

Speaker 14 (39:52):
Anybody huh yea, you love it?

Speaker 8 (40:02):
You are, but no, in regard to the offense, you know,
kind of what Nicole was saying is, you know they're
really trying to limit the explosiveness y'all have and playing
a lot underneath.

Speaker 7 (40:15):
What are some of the things that you think.

Speaker 8 (40:18):
Stand out with really just how the offenses? You know,
you talked about, the communication, you talked about you guys
kind of trying to get into that perfect game. What
is something that you think you guys can really do
better moving forward?

Speaker 10 (40:33):
Again, I mean I don't think much.

Speaker 16 (40:35):
I think just throughout the week, it's the consistent communication
and even in times when you don't think it's important,
the walkthroughs, the meetings, just with the different position groups
and everything, and I mean thinking about myself, the tight
end room and the tackles, making sure we're communicating as

(40:57):
best as we can with each other, quarterback, with the receivers,
and and doing that throughout the week, even in those
times when you might not think it's important, like a
walk through or the mock games that we have like
those are I think key times to making sure that

(41:17):
we're going through those game like motions and scenarios with
each other so that when game day does come upon us.
It's it's just rhythmic, its routine because we've been doing
it the whole week.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
You talked talked about communication, and Clayton Adams kind of
touched on this last week and he had just mentioned that,
you know, some of the best groups that he's coached
or been around, they are able to come in the
quarterback calls the play and then go there visualize the play,
like what route I'm supposed to be taking, what block

(41:50):
I'm supposed to be making?

Speaker 5 (41:51):
How do you perfect that over time?

Speaker 6 (41:54):
What does that look like for you guys?

Speaker 5 (41:57):
It's telling it's too much obviously.

Speaker 16 (41:59):
Yeah, no, No, it's it's consistency and like you said,
like I think really taking advantage of those mental reps
that we have throughout the week. Yeah, if that is DAK.
At the end of our meetings, we're going through a
couple of plays, We're talking about cadences and everything, and

(42:20):
I think it is just the focus level and Clayton
does a great job of it, and the rest of
this offensive staff does a good job of emphasizing those
moments of you know, when other teams might not be
taking it is serious, or you might be thinking you

(42:41):
don't have to in those moments, and I think the
more times that you can realize in those just how
important those moments are throughout the week, it does. It
does make all the difference and it will pay off
on Sundays.

Speaker 9 (42:54):
Yeah, it's been two rough weeks for you guys, and
I'm interested from a on offensive side of the ball.
And I got to ask Kenny Clark last night the
same question, and it was kind of, you know, nice
to hear that he was able to find some good
what the defense was, and he talked about they had
some good plays on first and second down, it was

(43:16):
not being able to get all the field on third down.
And then also you saw them able to get home
a lot, and he says that was part of the
reason why going into this bye week, even though you
guys said at three five and one, hey, I think
this could still be a postseason team offensively, it doesn't
happen to just be last night, but just what you
guys have been able to put out there, you know,
what makes you enter the bye week getting healthy saying Okay,

(43:39):
when we come back, we got this and this, despite
what others might feel at this moment, this could still
be a playoff team.

Speaker 16 (43:45):
Yeah, like I was saying earlier, I mean, I think
we are just so close to playing that perfect game
as an offense, but then as a team too, and
the complimentary football, whether that be a turnover defense and
we come back and score on offense or even you know,
special teams make it makes a big play on punt

(44:06):
return last night with the punt block, and I think, yeah,
like just that complimentary play style with with every phase
of the game going into this bye week, I think
in every area, like feeling that we are just so

(44:27):
close that you have to trust it and know that
it's going to happen. And I think, yeah, this bye
week came in a great time middle of the season.
Everybody can you know, get themselves come away from it
and then come back to it feeling excited. Yeah, I
mean that's what I feel like just watching and I'll

(44:51):
be excited today just to hear from other people and everything.
But I do feel like we are just so close
there and every but he can feel that in sense.

Speaker 9 (45:01):
That you're doing anything for the bye week to get
your mind right personally going.

Speaker 10 (45:05):
Home, going.

Speaker 16 (45:08):
Back up to New England. Yeah, uh see the family.

Speaker 3 (45:12):
And everybody, any special plans.

Speaker 16 (45:16):
I'm gonna see my my brother play this this coming weekend. Yeah,
he's playing. Yeah, shout out to a little brother Mark.
He's playing. He's playing at Holy Cross in Massachusetts.

Speaker 10 (45:28):
Cool. Yeah, well school, what d Yeah, you gotta.

Speaker 14 (45:38):

Speaker 10 (45:40):
I can?

Speaker 7 (45:40):

Speaker 3 (45:41):
Do you have a celebration?

Speaker 7 (45:42):
Do you have a touchdown celebration? You got a cool
one that you have in mind you've been saving.

Speaker 10 (45:49):
I do. Yeah, I don't know if I want to. Well, yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (45:56):
Feel like it's probably something cool, like like like you're
something you're.

Speaker 7 (46:01):
Into or something you got.

Speaker 10 (46:03):
I've got to see it.

Speaker 7 (46:06):
Yeah, it's our deal.

Yes, you will. You will see it. It will be

You can dance.

Speaker 5 (46:13):
I didn't expect for you.

Speaker 7 (46:14):
Just say yes.

Speaker 5 (46:15):
He said it with confidence and you know, hesitation too.

Speaker 10 (46:18):
I know.

Speaker 5 (46:18):
Look like actually I can get jiggy.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
Hopefully the Cowboys can get jiggy. After this bye week.
