Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Happy Half Hour. Hello friends, welcome back. It is
actually training camp. Now. We've been talking about the build
up to training camp for the last couple episodes of
The Happy Half Hour Special edition Daily Training Camp version. Thing.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
You've got nice on our screens.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Now, that's right, look at that. This is official and everything. Wow.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I just noticed the small phrases on there. It says
Carolina Panthers, Charlotte North Carolina. This is our layer when
in all phases, When in all phases, it's the details
that matter, that's right.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
It is the little things. And today we had a
little thing called football practice. Yes we did. That's the
thing we come to see. And it's amazing. I love
it this time of year because after spending six months
of talking about a football team as a hypothetical, abstract concept,
now you see football players on a field and they're
(00:54):
not in pads yet, and they're still in the ramp
up period early in camp and all that's true, but
it's different when you get here and you hit that
gear and just walking in this morning, I think more
than anything else, there was the realization of, oh, we're
not looking at one hundred new faces. I mean, there
are a lot of changes this offseason. Don't get me wrong,
(01:16):
big free agency class, busy draft, but the head coach
and the general manager and the quarterbacks are the same
for the first time since twenty nineteen. A rest herezy,
and you know, it reminds you a little bit of
what we've been through, but it also reminds you of
how this team is building in a certain direction. And
(01:37):
the second half of last year kind of leads into
this year, and everybody is talking about, you know, a
lot of times it's like first day of school. Today,
they were talking about expectations and how to build and
what the ad to and so even though today wasn't
necessarily the biggest day of oh my god, look at
that play, because it's the first day of practice, there
was a clear sense of purpose and expectation among these
(02:02):
guys because they know it's not just a team trying
to win as many games as they can. They know
they showed some second half of last year that people
are going to be expecting a little bit more and
a little bit more out of them.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, they're building towards something now, not necessarily just gathering
the pieces, and granted there are still some pieces to
gather and things to figure out the linebacker situation now
that Josie Jewel sure is in recovery is going to
look a lot different than we thought it would. So
there are things to figure out. But as you said,
they're building towards something, and you know it's something that
that Bryce shawng Dave Canals of course, but Bryce Shong
(02:35):
and jac Horn both mentioned today after practice as well.
You know, jac said this is the most consistency he's
ever had coming into a training camp since he's been
in the NFL. Same thing for Bryce, which makes a
world of difference. You can kind of start on second base,
so to speak, when you get to camp, when you're
coming back with everyone that you were there with last year.
(02:55):
I mean, I don't think he lost a starting receiver.
He kept the same offensive line, same head coach, same coordinator,
and like I said, it allows you to start a
little bit farther away. Something else that Dave Canalis said
today that I wanted to point out, he gave a
statement and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, Darren.
That was the most assertive statement I feel like I've
(03:17):
heard from him really since he's been here.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
I mean, this one I've got highlighted on my screens.
As part of a longer answer about you know what
would constitute a successful season for this team? Dave said
the magic words. He said, I think this guy's a
limit for this group. I think this is going to
be a very competitive team. I don't think people are
going to want to play us by the style of
(03:41):
football that we play. And it's like, dang, Dave Canalis,
just go there on day one, will you. I mean,
that's not and it wasn't. It wasn't a chest stuck out.
I mean it's very it's very matter of fact by
Dave Canalis because A that's just how he talks, and
B everything they have done has been with a vision
(04:03):
of this style of football they want to play. Dave
keep saying, we got to get back to us. We
got to find out what us is. We've got to
find out who we are, and what we saw a
second half of last year was the beginnings of that personality.
It is great, old, big offensive line full of big
maulers like Rob Hunt. Maybe not quite as big as
Rob Hunt. Nobody is as big as a rob Hunt,
(04:24):
not even Godzilla. But you lean on people, you run
the ball, you make smart plays with the ball. That's
what they were doing second half of the year, and
that's what they want to build on. So you know,
I see what he's saying. And this isn't a classic
smash mouth, you know, nineteen sixties Green Bay Packers kind
of football team. But what they can do is run
(04:47):
the ball, and they've got big three hundred and thirty
five pound plus people in the interior offensive line who
can lean on you, and you know, Chuba Hubbard's coming
behind them and that makes a difference. That's kind of
team that teams don't necessarily want to play in December
because it's a physical game, it's a cold game. I
go back to the end of twenty two when they
(05:08):
got on a little bit of run and you know,
put a put a number on the Detroit Lions, and
they did it by running for over three hundred yards
twenty degree day. So that's the kind of game that
was in my mind when Dave said that. It's like, Okay,
I hear you, Dave Canal, Let's get after it.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yeah, And you know it's It's something Dan Morgan said
when he was first named GM. He said, teams need
to pull up to this stadium and fear the logo again. Yeah,
but we haven't really heard anything like that since because
they have been very careful to temper expectations and to
you know, be realistic while also still being positive. And
(05:45):
so I think that's why this kind of stood out
with Dave and again Darren to your point, like he didn't.
He wasn't saying it like he didn't. He wasn't trying
to have a sound bite moment. You know, he was
just talking about the team and he said, you know,
I don't think people are really gonna want to play
us this year. And it's but it stood out still
because you know, it was a little bit more of
(06:06):
a statement than we're used to hear.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
In everybody gets afraid of expectations. Oh what if you
say this and people take it the wrong way. Here's
the thing I think people need to remember. This football
team won two games two years ago. They won five
games last year. So if you continue the exercise and
all of a sudden, this team continues to build, continues
to get better, if that becomes seven, eight nine wins,
(06:31):
I mean that's a reasonable projection based on what they've
done the last couple of years. Now, if you get
to eight or nine wins, because you still live in
the NFC South, You're going to be playing interesting games
in December because that's just what this messiest ball divisions
brings us. And that's fine. And it's like what Dan
(06:52):
said yesterday, He's like, if we because somebody even asked Dan, hey,
in that minute and a half statement you opened this
press conference with, you didn't say the word playoffs, and
Dan basically said, if we do the things we're supposed
to do on a daily basis, everything else takes care
of itself. You know. The focus has to be on
the work. The focus has to be on the accountability,
(07:13):
the dailiness of what you do. And then if you
do all those things in the right way, it's such
a dad moment for me. It's like when you talk
to your kids. It's like, you know, it's about process,
and I know it's such a football coach thing to say,
but if you do small things the right way every day,
your results are going to be good. That's just the
(07:34):
way it is. I mean, that's just how the world works.
So I was interested. I mean, Dave Canalis has not
been a big bulletin board material guy. I don't know
that any coach necessarily wants to be other than you know,
a couple of your outliers, which he's probably not ever
going to be. And this wasn't that. This was just, hey,
(07:56):
we're an observation. We're going to play to kind of
football people don't want to see. Yeah, that's cool, so
you know, and it goes back to the way this
team's been built with big people on both lines. If
you look at what they've done this offseason, backing up
what they did last offseason, that much is evident what
their intent is.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
They did still get on the field today though a
little bit. Yeah, it wasn't a super super long practice
to open training camp. That's okay, they'll have some long
ones in there. But got out and did I think
about three to four different team sessions, some different drills
and things like that. And of course, you know, we
saw the moments here and there, like Tea Matt had
a cool one handed catch and drills that kind of
(08:36):
just reminded you how good of a handscatcher he is.
He can do it with one hand.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
J C.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Horn Have, if anything, has upped his trash talk since
OTA's He came in with a vengeance he has. Mike
Jackson has risen to that level to meet him. He
made sure to match his teammate as much as he could.
Here's the funniest part was they go ahead.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yeah. I was just gonna say, here's what's wild about this.
That was such a topic during the off season, Bryce
and JC, just because we weren't used to seeing Bryce
kind of yap back. Jc's always been a little bit
like that. It became such a storyline in the off season,
and it's just gonna I just think this is the
default position. This is the baseline now for j C
Horn and Bryce Shunk. It's like if we walked in
(09:19):
here every day and said, my god, did you see
how big rob A Hunt was today? You know, it's
just we're going to stop being amazed by this at
a certain point and understand that's just what it is.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
So for now, it's funny. There was a moment at
the even the beginning of practice where quarterbacks were just
kind of doing some drills and j C might both
hop it into those I started grabbing the balls and
jac said afterwards this because we want them to get
used to throwing us the ball.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
That's right. Jac's enjoying this.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Yeah, he is. And he talked today too about he
had a baby daughter this off season and how that
kind of just shifted things for him, you know, his
perspective on thing, his motivation. I mean, your dad, I'm
sure you know it'll do that to you.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
I'm aware he is, and uh.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
You know what that means for him kind of coming
into this season as well.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
And so, yeah, a lot of stuff happening on the field,
a lot of those little individual plays. We're gonna have
a lot of cool stuff for you coming up the
rest of the afternoon. Demani Richardson with a pick today
as he continues to try to he loves to do
that state his case. Demani Richardson's always around footballs. He
always has been, even going back to training camp last
(10:30):
year when he was a rookie. Now there's a starting
job on the line. Yeah, you know, they were rolling
a lot of guys. I mean, it's day one of camp.
They're gonna take a look at a lot of stuff.
I mean, Trayvon Merrick's back there full time. I believe
after they paid fifty million dollars for him in free agency,
He's probably gonna start field pretty good. About that. The
other spot next to him is kind of up in
the air. At different points today, they had Nick Scott
(10:52):
out there, they had Sathan and Ransom, they had Demani
out there, and those guys are going to continue to
roll through. I think it's reasonable to think that will
continue for several weeks while they just see who rises
to it. And I mean Demandi Richardson is a guy
who undrafted rookie out of Texas A and M last year.
But he keeps making plays and he's not the perfect
(11:14):
size or any of that kind of stuff. I mean,
there's reason guys don't get drafted, but when you're always
around the football, you tend to earn the notice of
football coaches.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
He is one of those that I think, and I
don't want to like go overboard here, but you know,
you go back and you watch some of his college tape,
you watch really what he did here as a rookie
and what he's doing now in his second year, and
you go, oh, was he a product of measurables? Like
you said talking about his size, Like you know, you
get into that draft season and that's what a lot
gets based on. Sure, and you always hear some guys
(11:42):
say like, I don't care how tall I am or
how big I am, just turn on the tape. And
I think Demani Richardson is one of those who maybe
was kind of a byproduct of that, a victim of that,
and he didn't care. He just was like, Okay, well
I'm still going to go out here and play. And
he's doing it again. I mean, to your point, there
is a starting job on the line that can make
(12:02):
some guys kind of overthink. Again, it is the first
day of training camp. There's a lot of in front
of us. But we've seen throughout Ota, throughout mandatory Mini camp,
and then again today, like Demandy just makes place. That's
what he does, yep.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
And there are little things like that that you can
kind of pick up on. I'm always very hesitant, and
I appreciate everybody out there who follows us on all
the social media's, whether it's the Twitter, the Blue Sky,
the Instagrams, the snapface, as Bill Belichick would say, all
of those things. We appreciate that. I'm not going to
spend my whole day tweeting out training camp play by
play because a I think a lot of that stuff
(12:38):
can be misleading. I think without context, you know, you
can lose the true meaning of what's actually happening on
the field and listen. I know people are hungry for information.
I mean, part of the reason we're doing this podcast
every day is because, you know, without fans on the
field at training camp, it's a little bit different this year.
So we're trying to bring you as much you can,
(12:58):
but we want to bring you as much real stuff
as we can. One of the things that kind of
took on a life fits on today was the very
last play of practice. Princelely, you Ma and me, Ellen,
I did my very best with that. I hope you
got it. Yeah, all right, I'm feeling pretty good about that.
I want to say, you know, for the first six
weeks he was here, was Princely. Hey, Princely, what's going on?
(13:21):
You you see that thing? Princely said. Now I'm comfortable
saying you man, me Ellen. He comes off the latt
of scrimmage, gets around the corner and kind of gets
back there to Bryce and sort of smacks at the ball,
knocks out of Bryce's hand. Good play in the regular season,
exactly what you want to see that guy do, except
you don't touch the quarterback on day one of training.
(13:42):
He's wearing a different color jersey for a reason. I mean,
those guys don't wear red. They will probably wear red
and joint practices when they get down to Houston and
Cleveland comes in here. But you know, for now, they're
in their normal black practice jerseys while everybody else is
in white and blue. And it's an enough of difference
you ought to be able to see. You got to
take care of that guy. So Dave blows the whistle,
(14:05):
talks to him about it, and we move.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
On, move on. And I came back in and watched
the play too, because I remember in practice thinking like, oh,
we kind of clipped him a little, but it didn't
seem a big deal. Then of course, like you said,
it did kind of become a topic understandably. But came
back and watched the play in slow motion too, just
to be like, let me make sure I saw what
I saw. And it was more so like he brushed
(14:29):
he went to reach for the ball and then brushed
Bryce as he went to pull himself off, and so
it was, you know, he made the effort to not
make it a bad play. But you know, Dave said
afterwards too that you know the more reps you get
in practice as a professional, you kind of know where
that line is, how to get there, and then pull
(14:50):
back off the top to make sure that doesn't happen.
Dave Canalis didn't seemed to super worried about it. He
was like, you know, he's a rookie. You treat it
with grace, you treat it with patience. He'll figure it out.
And so it wasn't I don't know if Bryce would
have even really felt him if it wasn't for the
fact that the ball came out. So yeah, not a huge,
huge deal, but a learning moment for a rookie.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
We've seen some egregious friendly.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Fire, it's just in recent months.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
In practices here over the years, and this wasn't that.
This was almost whoops.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
You know, it was a whoops for sure.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
It was a whoopsie for sure. But yeah. A couple
of news and notes coming out of the day. Tommy
tremble Can now has talked about him. He's on the
physically unable to perform list after the back surgery back
in May. He is going to be out. Dave said,
it's a matter of weeks, you know. Again, Timelines are
another thing that makes people nervous, but it's probably not
(15:46):
one or two weeks, probably like three or four weeks,
so probably closer to the beginning of the regular season,
tail end of the preseason before we see Tommy Tremble
back out there on the field. You know, they went
out and got another tight end last night. And Tyler Mabry,
a guy they knew from c Pat McPherson and Dave
canalisnow him from back in Seattle. He was here today
along with Trace Willing, a brand new cornerback. Do you
(16:08):
know what numbers they wear?
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Trace, I think has a six in it. Thirty nine,
Oh so close enough if you turn the nine upside down.
There was something about Trace that kept pulling my attention
all day, and then you walked by and said it,
and I was like, that's it.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Yeah, this man looks like a me or Smith Marsett.
There's a random panther's name from the past for all
about diehards. Remember former wide receiver who was here a
couple of years ago, looks a lot like Trace Willing.
Tyler Mabray, I didn't catch Yeah, no forty three. I
updated the rosters, so I know what numbers these guys
are that's probably the only reason.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
You know what numbers stood out to me today, tell
me thirty two and fifty six, one of which we
learned afterwards that Christian rose Boom. You know, fifty six
might not have been his number of choice, but it
was just what was available and he did want to
commit himself to another one. But those two were together
all day to day, yep.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
And honestly, I'm including in the middle of the first
defense as it lined up. I mean, in the absence
of Josie Jewel. You know, those two guys were in
the middle of it all all day. I mean, they
are the ones with starting experience among this group of
inside linebackers. They've got at the moment.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
But rose Boom did tell us he was wearing the
green dot today.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
That's right, And they both got experience. I mean when
Trevin had to wear it a couple of games last year,
starting in the Chicago game when Josie and Jack Thompson
were hurt early. You know, he was a rookie who
was about five or six games into his NFL career,
and he admits now he was kind of in over
his head and was just doing the best he could.
So Rose Bum's an older guy, got more experience, has
(17:45):
played a lot of ball. I mean he started eleven
games for the Rams last year. A million tackles. I
think we could look that up, but it was many
accurate name, many many tackles. You know, these two are
are different tes of players, but right now they're going
to work with them at the in the middle of
(18:05):
that three four defense, just to kind of give a
little stability. I mean, the Josie Jewel situation is we
discussed yesterday, is scary and bad because anytime you're dealing
with concussion symptoms seven months after the fact, that's obviously worrisome.
If there is a silver lining about it for the
football team, you say, okay, you at least get to
(18:25):
start training camp with these two guys who you're going
to be counting on in the short term, so they
are out there for the time being and you know
they're at least solid. JC was asked about Roseboom in
the middle and he said, hey, the communications was good,
the calls got made. It didn't seem you know. I
think it surprised JC a little bit when somebody asked
(18:45):
him about that, because it was like, oh, yeah, there
was somebody down in there wasn't there.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
And he's like, I'm over there on my own anyways.
That's but no, you saw everything. There were no egregious
mistakes from the middle. Yeah, and that's all you can
as four. Yeah, right now while you're figuring things out.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
And again there is This is not the complete defense
as we're going to know it, mainly because Derek Brown
wasn't out there today, Derek, Bobby, Derek was out with
kind of an excused absence. We'll let him tell you
more about that when he gets back. But everything's fine,
and Bobby Brown was on the sidelines. He's working his
way back. There are a number of those guys who
(19:24):
are on PUP and NFI and Canalis basically said, other
than Tommy Tremble, all of them should be fairly short
term deals. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Sam Martin was out there walking around to the jugs
machine did a fine imitation of a Sam Martin punt. Yeah,
And so they got their work in there.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
The only bad news is the jugs machine can't hold
for kicks, right, So Andy Dalton had to do that
and there might have been one the one if you see,
for instance, if you see on the tweeter machine or
any of the social media's that Matthew Wright was four
or five of field goals. That is technically true, but
they were kicking on the skinny post today, which are
(20:01):
about half the width of standard regulation goal post, and
the ball he hit that the ref signaled, you know,
gave one of these was straight over the top of
the goal post. So I mean that's center right on
any normal set of goalpost and was well struck. I mean,
so I am willing to give Matthew Right the benefit
(20:23):
of the doubt or now and call him five or
five today, so because in real life it would have
been in it. And when they go back and look
at film of things, they had grade these things, I
mean they're actually looking. They're not going to penalize a
guy for missing one that would have been ahead in
a game. So that competition will continue. Matthew Right, Ryan Fitzgerald.
(20:44):
I imagine Fitzgerald will kick next the next time they
have field goal period. It was kind of funny today
when they were lining up to do punt drills and
they had a whole scad of people back there returning punts,
including Jimmy Horn, Trevor ETN and a lot of other guys,
including Hanno Renfrom and when they were lining up for
(21:06):
the punt team, Ryan Fitzgerald stood back there to catch
the snap from Ja Ja Janssen and then they would
just stick it in the jugs machine and launch it downfield.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
So somebody's gonna catch the snap, I guess yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
One of my favorite random stories of Panthers history was
when the Panthers got a couple punt returners hurt in
the ear in the late nineties and George Seffert was
coaching and Eric Davis was a high priced cornerback back.
He came from San Francisco, and George referred to him
as a punt receiver.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
He can catch the punt.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
He was like, we're not really counting on Eric returning.
We just we know he can receive it, so I
will call him Eric Davis punt receivers. So there were
many punt returners out there on the field today. That's
going to be interesting to me because there's a bunch
of dynamic guys. I mean, Etn is a guy I
think they're probably thinking for that kick return job. Primarily
(22:00):
he's a guy who can scoot and Jimmy Horn we
know is a quick, shifty guy and has experience returning punts.
So we'll see as the preseason goes on and you
see live reps against Houston and Cleveland and those joint practices,
what that kind of looks like. But lot of stuff
going on, a lot of stuff going on. Speaking of
a lot of stuff going on, we've added items back here.
(22:22):
I want to this is the show within the show.
Every now and then, I tried to live my life
without looking at the comments, but occasionally I look at
the comments. There's usually nothing good.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Ever read the comments.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Never read the comments on social media. It's terrible for you.
But I did notice that somebody in the comments mentioned
that there was a blue helmet on the shelf behind us.
Dun dunt, dunh that's just a light trick. That helmet's
actually silver, same as regular. But we do we do
have some extra stuff in here. I brought a little
Sam Mills icon from the key pounding game in twenty
(22:55):
two to put back there in front of Paul Silas
and a Super Bowl fifty Jersey patch. So we're gonna
fiell that shelf.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
I'll start adding stuff back there now, and you'll have
to guess who brought what.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
This is gonna be like a little game. Maybe we
maybe we turn it into a sweepstakes or something and
give away one of these fine items. I have no idea,
but many fine items. My wife's probably encouraging me to
bring some of my fine items from the house and
put them on that shelf, because every now and then
she looks at me and she'll be like, what is
this even so anyway, well, that.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Means we're going to get a big Lebowski picture back
there before it is.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Over, Matt. She's kind of wondering. I mean, I think
she misses Paul Silas around the house.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Now, I'm sure she does.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
When I put that thing in the bookcase at home
when we were decorating our home together, she was like,
who is that again? Almost as bad.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
As Katie or simply.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
There you go. Homeschool, That's just what I'm calling you.
I know you're a product of the Alabama public schools,
but when you start tripping over words, I'm just assuming
you read them, but never set them out loud to another.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
You're making me unconscious.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
I know it's part of what I do as a boss. Uh,
But the work is good check out castiy story that
we published a little bit ago about Bryce Young on
his first day. Bryce is a funny little man. Sometimes
his turn.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
He started doing this thing and I feel like we
all need to step it up. He has started doing
this thing where he gets to the mic for his
pressers and he wants someone in the media to tell
him a story.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
First, right, He's.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Like, what have y'all been going? What have you all
been doing? What have you all been y'all y'all had
going on? He's done that a couple of times now,
but today he came up with a very specific request
and he was like, I want somebody to tell me
a story of what they did this summer, Like, who
has the coolest story? And I think our friend Phil
from one of the local TV station.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Tele visions Phil Orbit. Yeah. He was like, oh yes,
So see.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
He was the only one that could come through because
it was he saw baby sea turtles hatching.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Which is a good story. This is a good story,
adorable story, feeling adorable. Man. We like him a lot.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
That's not how this works.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
You. We ask you questions, right, You're the interesting one, Bryce,
not us. We have unique items and every now and
then tell a funny story. But you're the one we're interested.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
But I feel like I need to start coming up
with better stories for when you ask next time. I
don't want to be called.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
You got to have one in the holster ready at all.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Times, exactly what would what would your story have been?
You went to Amsterdam, that's a cool story.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Yeah, I went to the Netherlands see some family. Yeah,
we went to Ice. Oh wait, you.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Could have told him that you saw on puffins.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Puffins. I love puffins. When we were searching for puffins
in Iceland, my wife laughed at me because I would
just say, like, you know, just a cartoon voice.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Yeah, I'm sure Bryce will laugh to a sudden.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
They've got that cereal at Trader Joe's. Peanut butter Puffins. Yeah,
so I bought a box of them and carried in
the house and God, it's wrong with you. So maybe
we'll get a box of peanut butter puffins. We need snacks, obviously,
as you can tell over here, I've already hit the caffeine.
We're hydrating because it's hot outside. It's golden here. We
