Speaker 1 (00:16):
Welcome in to jag Vam Pennantie Stevens here, Lady Brian
Sex and John Osier as well. We're coming to you
on a Tuesday after we traveled back from the game
in London at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. It was a
tough one to watch right out of the gate. So
we're gonna get into our big things, brought to you
by g e AJ Government Employees Health Association Benefits for federal.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Employees and retirees.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
So big thing number one is question mark, what did
we see out there exactly? We thought we were gonna
get a competitive game, Liam Cohen going up against his
former employers and the RAMS, and we saw nothing of
the sort. Liam talked a little bit about the slow start, just.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Like everybody else in there. In there, you know, you
gotta look inward first, like what am I doing as
the head football coach. That's not clear right now? How
am I communicating these things? How am I and how
are we practicing these things? That's what I've got to
look at, right I mean, I've got to look at

(01:10):
the whole thing ultimately, But not going to stand up
here and blame these players. It starts with me.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Brian coach pointing the finger at himself. His team didn't
look prepared to start that game.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
No, you know, I was at a commercial flight from
London to Jacksonville yesterday and surrounded by Jaguars fans, and
I feel compelled to say this. They all have a
lot of confidence in the coach. What they saw the
first four weeks is what they believe this team is.
Despite the fact John in the last two weeks we
have seen what twenty three penalties, fourteen sacks, no takeaways,

(01:44):
only three touchdowns, there is a belief level in what
he just did there in that sound by, which was
to put it back on himself and suggest that he
and his staff have to do things to get it solved.
I'm not exactly sure what the right move is when
it was misst after mistake and penalty after penalty that
cost them, but at least this coach is somebody who

(02:06):
understands that it starts with him.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
Yeah. Look, I think we're seeing that the Seahawks game
was a game against a very good team. So first
six weeks. Fine. Look, sometimes coaches in the next day
press conference sort of meander through and you don't really
know what they're getting at Liam on Monday was very clear,
and I think when you look at this game, he

(02:28):
couldn't be more right. They were in third or second
and long the first three drives. They have got to
stay in managible situations and they can't be making mistakes
to put themselves behind sticks early in gangs. To me,
we're gonna talk for two weeks about what's wrong. They
have to stop making mistakes so they can find out

(02:51):
if they're any good or not. And I think they
are good when they don't put themselves in these situations.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Well, KAYI, this morning, they're sitting in his position in
the seventh spot in the AFC, despite these last two
losses that leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth. You know,
they're tied for the fourth best record in football, and
at four and three they're one spot ahead of Kansas City.
They'd be in at the season ended today. It doesn't,
but they're in a good spot at least to use

(03:16):
these two weeks wisely and get back to where they
were playing by the time they take the field in
Vegas on November two.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yes, it's good to remember that starting the season we
knew this tough part of the schedule was going to
be that first part, and for them to be four
and three is impressive. At this point, let's go to
big thing number two. We're gonna be a little more
positive here. Exclamation point. Travis Hunter get his first career touchdown.
A little bit of a coming out party. Is they
kind of forced it to him a little bit more
on offense this week. We didn't see a ton of
him on defense though, John, But I have to imagine

(03:43):
after what we've seen from Travis Hunter, he has to
be more of the offensive.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Game plan going forward.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
Yeah, I think he does. And I'm getting a questions
and I'm sure you guys are why they just play
him all the time both sides of Bonga. Well, I
think as a coaching staff, you're now only looking at
this week. You're trying to figure out how to row
him and how to get him there in the best
way possible. It's easy for him on defense, He's really
good no matter what situation you put him in. I

(04:10):
don't think you're gonna see him playing ninety five percent
of the snaps on both sides of the ball. And
the challenge remains Brian. They sort of still have to
hold him back. He would go out there and do
anything they asked him to do. You gotta protect him,
but he's gonna play more offensively. I don't know what
that means in terms of the offense running through him,
but he's got to have the ball in his hands.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Well.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
He's a dynamic player, as we've seen all season long,
and he's just I don't know. He's one of those
guys that he makes things happen no matter what you're
asking him to do. I think he's your best defensive back.
He might be your best defensive player right now based
on his production. The footwork on that third downplay Kui
that I know that you referenced in quick thoughts was

(04:51):
spectacular at the timing when the ball got into the
hands of DeVante Adams. He was right there and then
you just see that there's defenders all around him, and
yet if the ball is put where he can make
a play, he does. I think right now he's your
best player on offense and your best player on defense.
One man's opinion. Figure out how to make that work.
You know how much he can sustain because, like you

(05:13):
were talking about, John, it's a long season and you
can't play ninety five percent of the snaps every game
and expect he's going to be on the field when
the season comes to a close. I just I don't
think you could do that to him. But man, there's
a balance there somewhere. Smarter people than me will find it,
and I can't wait to see it.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Our final big thing today is going to be period. Now.
Not everything is wrong, but a lot of things do
need to be fixed.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
One of those penalties. They had thirteen penalties against the Rams,
which isn't going to cut it by any means. And
then also just you know the sacks allowed in that game.
He allowed seven sacks for the second straight week. Also
the offensive line and the defensive line failing to get
to the Matt stafford at all. So, Brian, there's a
lot of stuff that needs to be worked on. What's
your focus going into by week?

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Well, listen, So the offensive line is given up fourteen
sacks the last two weeks, I've got to start there.
Patrick McCary had three of the thirteen penalties, two for
being illegally downfield on screenplays. I mean, that's inexcusable for
a veteran guard who comes from a really disciplined place
in Baltimore and is doing that. You're getting Whitett Mylin back. Okay,

(06:15):
throw the competition open. Let's throw White Milamb in there
and see if he upgrades the spot. I know he's
a rookie and he hasn't really played yet, but you're
reaching a point where you got to make something different
in that group because the last two weeks have really
been difficult.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Yeah, I'm not so concerned about I don't think these
are bad offensive and defensive lines. If they play in
their situation, meaning you're down fourteen nothing, twenty one nothing
the other day, you're not going to get very many sacks.
When you're down that big to start, you're gonna give
up a lot of sacks because guess what, the other
team knows you need to pass. I'm gonna harp on

(06:53):
it until they play again, because I know you know
Leam's gonna harp on it, and it's what's wrong. You
have to start better. You can't keep being down seven
to nothing, ten nothing, and when you're in small situations
at the beginning of the game, you can't first and
ten can't be second and thirteen because of a sack

(07:13):
you shouldn't have given up first and ten can't be
second in UH fifteen because you're given penalties. You cannot
be against the chains early in the game the way
this team has the last two weeks.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Stay with us here on JAGSA. I'm coming up after
the break. We'll look back at some of the tape
from a Sunday's game at Wembley Stadium's.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Back into jag ZAM.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
We're gonna look back at some of the tape from Sunday.
I don't wanna call it highlights because there wasn't a
ton of those in the game, but we will look
at some moments and maybe some things that we can
glean from.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
What we saw go down.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
So I will start out with the first play of
the game, because when I say, I don't think they
were ready to go from the first nap. This was
kind of a tough one to immediately take a sack
right there, And I think even said in his postgame
press conference, He's like, yeah, I saw Travis right there,
and I should have just thrown.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
In the ball.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Second straight week, starting the game on the first play
with a three yard loss.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
On the sack. Yeah, it You wonder if you're you're
right out of the gate, there was a defender maybe
drifting that way. He just doesn't want to take any
chance on the first play. Regardless, you can't put yourself
behind the sticks that early, because all of a sudden,

(08:30):
it seems like from that point on you were trying
to walk up hill on a snowy Hillah.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
And I don't like the idea of not taking any chance.
I mean, this game, and especially this coach is all
about taking chances. You've got to get the quarterback, fire
the ball, and take some chances.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
We'll move it forward a little bit because I think
the Rams got after it quite quickly, and before we
knew it was seven to twenty one. Nothing but DeVante Adams,
you know, three touchdowns on the day with just whoever
was covering him at.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Any given moment.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
And this is part of my frustration, was out seeing
Travis Hunter out there, cause when you're focusing more on offense,
he didn't play on defense until the third quarter, and
by then it almost felt out of hand, right, So yes,
he's at this point your best offensive player, but he's
still your best cornerback. So yeah, it's getting to a
point where you know it would have been well. Also,

(09:22):
we just we'll talk about the past break up, but
it was tough with seeing what the secondary was trying
to deal with here and then just some regression from
Dewey hasn'ten playing great the last two weeks and just
some miscommunications.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
It's tough to see from the defense. John from just
right out of the gator.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
Yeah, look at I think the same thing on that
side of the ball, Y you uh, you can't get
down to good teams. The Jaguars aren't good enough yet
to play from behind and play well because when good
teams are up on you, they can do whatever they
want and their situations add up to better situations than yours.
So again, I think it goes back to the very beginning.

(09:59):
They're a good team. They can win in situations. The
Jaguars don't have multiple ways to win. They have to
be in the game and they have to have situations
favoring them. When it's not, they are going to be
exposed to what other teams can do when they want
to do it and manageable situation.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
What you're what you're getting to is that there's a
formula for the Jaguars to win.

Speaker 6 (10:22):
Yeah, they got to run the ball.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
There's not a bunch. No one's have a bunch, right,
This team has a cup.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
Of one, right, I mean in the first Yeah.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
It's getting going. As you mature as a franchise and
in a regime, you get more ways. Well, right now,
this is their way.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Mcvay's been there for seven years, right, I mean he's
had two quarterbacks and countless players on both sides of
the ball. He's got many, many formulas. He showed us
one on Sunday, No Pukakua.

Speaker 6 (10:44):
Now problem.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
We'll go to this guy seventeen who we picked up
from the Jets this year, and it will work. The
Jaguars formula is very simple, even though you've got a
fifty four million dollars yar quarterback. You got to run
the ball. You got to stay ahead of the chains.
If you're second in thirteen. Well, the last two weeks
show us that when the Jaguars start second to thirteen
and the second play of the game they're own two.
You can't do that. You have to run the ball,

(11:06):
you have to stay ahead of the chains. You got
to get an early lead so that the defense can
play the style that they want to play. Courtly ship
to be even with them, right, or within seven points
of them. You can't be down fourteen to nothing because
what John was saying is so true. Then you can't
attack like they want to attack. Then you're on your heels.
So there's one formula right now. There will be more,

(11:26):
but right now you played a one formula.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Rams first four drives they only face third and long white,
so there's the only time they find it. Yeah, you
gotta get into it.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Another tiny little spark they almost had was Parker Washington's
kick return, and then again with the penalties.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Obviously we're harping on the same sorts of things and
you can call it kiket sacking if you want.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
But also just being in that vicinity park basic very biome.
I don't know why that's Jarring's in that position at
that point, but it's so frustrating when you finally feel
like you have maybe a little tiny.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Bit of life and then you just see the yellow longerend.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
Listen, that makes it a completely different dat Right you're
fourteen to seven. There you got a little momentum instead,
by the way, that would have said in a Jaguars
record for the third career punt returned by Jaguar, he
shares the record with two right now, so I was
sad to see that one go.

Speaker 6 (12:15):
But on that drive the Jags missed the field goal,
and you could just you could just feel it. Matt
Stafford's like, oh, got him? What?

Speaker 4 (12:21):
He a penally takes a touchdown off the board, and
then you miss a field goal. Let's put this game.

Speaker 6 (12:25):
Away right now.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
And of course veteran savvy quarterback that he is right
down the field, touchdown twenty one nothing, thank you.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
Yeah, I'm gonna go way back. In the nineteen forty
NFL Championship, Washington lost seventy three nothing the Redskins. At
the time they dropped a touchdown pass. We made it
seven to seven. They asked the quarterback afterwards, Sammy bab
that had made a difference in the game. He said, yeah,
I would have been seventy three to seven. Now, maybe

(12:55):
that would Jaguars fans thinking that with this game. I
don't think that. Wise, it would have gotten you back
into where you weren't playing uphill the whole first half,
and it felt like such a first a uphill game
the whole game. I my dad used to talk about
when we watched Washington together and there'd be a weird call.

(13:15):
He guess, well, that wasn't much of a call. The
Parker one sort of felt like, well that wasn't much
of a call. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
I don't know that they win the game because if
he scores that one, but you have a different game.
You don't look, no doubt, you don't look like the
Keystone Cops, like you got pushed all over the field
right by the Rams all day if you're fourteen to seven,
because let's be honest, down fourteen nothing, the Jaguars had
very little energy.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
It would have gotten it felt over felt like last
year where they get down early and you were like, oh,
what's that like the first.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
Game of Tottenham last year? What is this?

Speaker 4 (13:46):
So now you get to fourteen seven again, the Rams
are a better football team and they have a quarterback
playing at a higher level than your quarterback is right now.
And so as a result of that, I don't think
they win, but I think you have a different game
going into the third quarter.

Speaker 5 (13:57):
A lot of situations felt out of their control after.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
That mentioned it, Cam little misses a kick here, and
Liam Collina came out yesterday says their cam's their guy.
They're not doing anything in regards to that. But this
is getting problematic at this point. I think fourth miss
field goal, he's missed an extra point, and it's affecting
for me. It's affecting the way Liam calls the game going.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
Forward, see go ahead, John, No, it is. I don't
necessari we've reached this point where you expect every kicker
make every field goal. Fifty yards is makeable. It's also
not a gimmey. He's missed two fifty yarders. I agree
with the idea of let's support. We're going to move forward.

(14:38):
This kid's been too good for so long, but he
would tell you in his mind, in this league right now,
fifty yarders can't behold your breath. You have to sort
of think he's gonna make them right now. I think
most people when they watch her think it, are sort
of holding their breath. He's got to get past that.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
I'm with the coach on his approach to sticking with him.
He's my guy, he's way, he's insanely talent.

Speaker 6 (15:00):
We've seen this. He's in a bad spot.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
That wouldn't stop me from bringing in another kicker, though,
whether it's on the practice squad or whether I find
a spot for the guy and and work him in
because maybe what Cam needs is that edge, that competition.
He's got a little edge to him. It's kind of fun.
I think he's one of those kickers that enjoys that
side of it.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
He needs it right.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Now, and I would I would be very willing to
bring a kicker in here and make him go out
another practice field.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
It is funny with kickers though. Maybe in the Seattle
game last night, I forget what, but somebody missed a
fifty eight yarder or barely made it. It was the
Lions game and they're on the sidelines just, oh my god,
I can't believe missed a fifty eight yarder?

Speaker 6 (15:40):
Did yard?

Speaker 5 (15:40):
It's still a long we will kick it.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
I mean there was a time when those again forty
eight yarder you'd be like, how did you miss a
forty eight yarder?

Speaker 6 (15:45):
And now we're talking about missing.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
A fiscovide it from fifty eight once and I thought
you're gonna go out of your mind.

Speaker 6 (15:49):
Fifty nine, Yeah, and I did go out of my mind.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Let's take one look at this.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
We've seen Travis Hunter's touched on already, but let's look
at this pass breakup he had against DeVante Adams because
for me, this was also a defining play for him
because we hadn't seen him on defense yet. Coming out
of the half, they're not looking great and then to
come in and go up against their best wide receiver
and break this up when it looked like he was
nowhere near it as well is why kind of comes
out and then you're like, oh, he still got it

(16:15):
on the back end.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
There, I would point ask people to write here, watch
his footwork. You want to know what makes a superior corner.
It's a guy with footwork like that. He puts himself
in a position to trail and then recover and they
go up and make an incredible play.

Speaker 6 (16:30):
That's a big receiver.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Now, Devonte Adams is not six feet he's six foot two.

Speaker 6 (16:34):
He's a big dude.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
And just because Travis has such exceptional footwork and ball
skills working together, that's to me, that's the sum of it.
The guy has got incredible skills.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Yeah, I'm not saying this to diminish how hard he works,
because he works hard. He does this fawn out of
bed morning.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Yeah, I mean that's what's remarkable about it.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
Yeah, he's that good. What's funny is this was a
great play and it should not have been defensive pass inefferent,
but he made more contact here than in Cincinnati, and
that they are both great plays. But I just make
the point to show you he gets his body in
situations that I still think the Cincinnati was because the

(17:18):
ref couldn't believe he made the play and then it
was so slew. And he's that good when he does that.
And yeah, he's starting to show how special he's going
to be.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
This is how many games we are in. I'm holding
it up just for the seven games and do its
great show that in two hands, we can show how
many games he's played if you're just patient with him
and with the Jaguars as they figure out that he's
going to have a long and productive and maybe illustrious
career in Jacksonville over the course of games that toes

(17:49):
and fingers, all of us won't be able to count.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
All.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Right, after the break, we're gonna come back and give
you our hot takes for the rest of the season.
Jag Exam brought to you today. Our hot takes are
brought to you by Firehouse Subs. Welcome back in We

(18:17):
saw a not so great product the past two weeks.
But it is important to remember this team is four
and three and if you told me that a couple
of months ago, I would have been thrilled. I think
I was happy. I was hopeful if we were going
to get three and four out of that first little
stretch of games by the bye week. So looking back
on this game on Sunday and kind of looking forward,
what is your hot take for Uce Brian?

Speaker 7 (18:35):
Help is not on the way, And by that I
mean that you've got to figure this out with the
guys that you've got in that locker room. Yes, I
know they went and they traded for Greg Newsome, and
they may swing another trade before the trade.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
Deadline comes up in two weeks.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
But it's the guys who are in the locker room
right now that you have to figure things out. I
mentioned earlier that here's one play. They're very high on
Wyatt Milam, the third round pick, the former tackle, who
they think is a guard at the NFL level, and
he's ready to play. Perhaps over the course of the
bye weekend, maybe you can plug him in there at
right guard. They really think he is a tremendous player

(19:10):
and could be one of their best offensive linemen by
the end of the year. Okay, well there's a little help.
Who's here on the roster. I'll give you an example
where help's not coming.

Speaker 6 (19:18):
You're not getting Kleb Bransaw back. Right. You have problems
at safety right now.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
Eric Murray is dinged up, Dewey is not playing very well,
and you can't go to the third round pick that
you really wanted to bring in. So you've got to
take what you've got and figure it out. And that's
what the coach said post game on Sunday night at
Wembley Stadium. It's what he said yesterday in his news conference.
You got to take what you got because you're not
bringing in wholesale replacements to change things.

Speaker 5 (19:44):
Yeah, you're talking. You're going down the laundry list of
what happens in the first year of a regime. When
you come in. They have a lot of their guys
in good situations. They don't have a mature a Gladstone
has developed all these spots and they've developed all these players,
so they need to stay healthy. And I think it's

(20:04):
what you're talking about. Figure out how to win some
situations with the guys. He got until you start getting
a roster of.

Speaker 6 (20:14):
Debt and the best. The third example of that is
Brenton Strange.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
You've got Hunter Long and Johnny Munt, and neither one
of those guys, both of them combined don't give you
what Brenton Strange does, let alone each one in parts
and pieces. You're not going to go find a player
who can do what Brenton Strange does for you. So
you've got to figure out something else until you get
it back.

Speaker 5 (20:33):
Yeah, I went I'm a man of pros, you know,
I'm probably work with a poet at heart. So I
went with fourteen and none won't get it done.

Speaker 6 (20:44):
That's it, little alliteration.

Speaker 5 (20:46):
And you know, fourteen sacks and then no sacks on defense.
That can't happen. And again I go back to the
reason it's happening is not because this team is capable
of having better numbers on both sides. But you cannot
play games where it is so hard to get sacks

(21:08):
because you're so far down, whether it's so easy to
give up sacks when you're in such bad situations. They
have to play smart, and they have to get themselves
in a situation again where they find out if they
can be a more functioning team than they already are,
you're probably not gonna blow a lot of teams out,
and you're probably not gonna have a lot of twenty
one point comebacks. You have to stay above your feet

(21:31):
in these games and figure out a way to be
in the situations where you can succeed.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Well, they did it against Kansas City because they were
pretty good on third.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
Down that night and no penalties and before right.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
Yeah, four penalties, and so they were in a position
where they could play and come back down fourteen nothing
to take the lead and then eventually win the ball game.
But what you're saying is what we talked about earlier.
There's a formula and then the formulas you gotta have sacks.
You've got to have sacks, and you have got to
protect your quarterback, and the formula does not being played
right now.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
I'm good, but I did like the rhyme. John appreciated it.

Speaker 5 (22:02):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Mine is about Travis Hunter, because I think it is
time to see what we've got in the sense of
I know they're working through playing time. It seems to
be changing week by week. But after seeing that play
against DeVante Adams, for me. I think he needs to
be on defense as much as physically possible, and I
still think he should be a focus on offense. I
also haven't seen a point yet where he's been winded
and wanting to come out of a game. So I

(22:24):
think it's time to start pushing those numbers up on
both sides in the game and seeing once you reach
that limit. You haven't seen it yet, And I think
at this point he's your best player at times on defense,
and he is definitely your best player on offense right now,
and I think we need to.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
See him in that role. That's the role they want
him to be in.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
They told talked about him changing the game, and it
now needs to be the time to do that, think,
especially at the bye week. He's gotten through a chunk
of the season already. You don't necessarily have to worry
about the burnout as much.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Now's the time.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
Yeah, I think what's gonna be interesting here Brian is
finding out if he's look he was dynamic on offense
the other day. Is he a player? And I don't
know the answer to this. Can he be your one? Meaning? Uh,
does he know enough about all the receiver positions where
you can say he is your one, he's going to

(23:14):
draw a double coverage that's gonna open up things right
for other players? Or is he more situationally at wide receiver?
He's really really good. I mean, and what you've see
in a receiver is that there's a point in the
future Uh. I don't know how quick they get there
where he is going to have to be accounted for

(23:35):
defensively and you're gonna be able to design your game
plan on they have to cover Travis over here. Now
here's what we can do based off that.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
I think the head coach has told us repeatedly since
training camp that it was gonna be a process for
him to figure out.

Speaker 6 (23:47):
All three positions.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
I don't think there's any way It's not fair to
expect that he could come in here and know more
than the one position. To know three right now would
be ridiculous. He will get there, though, So yeah, and eventually,
as you just said, he he's going to be that guy. Uh,
but right now so naturally on defense, I mean, I
just I don't know how you take a player with
those skills at a position of such great need and

(24:08):
not play just put.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Him out there on their best guy. Let him play football.
Uh say with us after break will tell you what's
coming up the rest of the week. Here for the
bye week Jags fans.

Speaker 8 (24:33):
I feel like we're going, we were really going together
and we're getting better. But today we I feel like
we had a step back. And then as a leader,
I feel like that that's that's definitely one of me
being a uh a big key part in that. But
I'll let you guys know that I let him down
and they appreciated me. But like I said, man, I
I really do love 'em and we we gonna get better.

(24:55):
And and I know, I know I've I've been through
my fair share of adversity, so I think we can
we can get through this event today.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
For the defense as well, we can talk a lot
about the offense.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Defense had a tough one and Jordan louis probably uncharacteristically bad.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Game for him.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
This defense has looked a lot different when they have
him to get in the takeaways, and I think that's
something that is going to have to be addressed in
the bye.

Speaker 6 (25:14):
Week and we talked about it has the same with
that Travon Walker.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
Yeah, and again I'm just a big fan of Trayvon.
Obviously he got hurt against San Francisco. The defense has
not looked the.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Same and when he went out of that game is
when they.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Started to get back into it.

Speaker 5 (25:30):
Yeah. So this team, you can say all you went
about not talking about injuries, and you have to have debt.
There are certain guys this team needs on the field.

Speaker 6 (25:41):
I ain't Travon, Bretton Stranger two guys absolutely.

Speaker 5 (25:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
I just wanted to throw this in one more time.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Being on that flight, on the commercial flight home out
in London, there were so many Jaguars fans who had
such a good time. I mean, they hated that the
team lost, but they enjoyed the game at Wembley STAIU
and they enjoyed London. They enjoyed the whole spectacle of it.
So it was fun to listen to them talk. And
I didn't hear a lot of same old jaggs. I
heard a lot of how's Liam going to fix it?

(26:08):
So I just that was a fun vibe to be around.

Speaker 6 (26:11):
Yesterday.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
There were a lot of energetic people who believe that
this team is different. It's hard to say it when
they get beat like that in London right a year
after they got beat like that by the Bears, It's
hard to bear that out. But people kind of understand it.
They kind of see that things are starting to change,
albeit slower.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
Than they'd like, and trust in some understanding that the
problems will be addressed.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
Some belief in Tony Biselli, James Gladstone and Liam Cohen.
We've heard it, we've kind of felt it. Yesterday was
like a nine hour focus group on the back of
a Virgin Airlines on the way from heath Row to Atlanta,
so the feedback was pretty optimistic.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Here's hoping we're going to be with you once more
this week.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Tomorrow we'll talk a little bit about kind of look
back at the first seven weeks or so and what
we've got coming up after the bye week as we
look ahead as well, So we'll see you back here
in DIAXAM tomorrows.

The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
