Speaker 1 (00:00):
Just the upper body. Uh deal, he's got a little
bit and just precautionary. Okay, so he's gonna play Saturn
or we'll figure that out. Yeah, we don't know yet.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
What does that do for him going through the play
call sheet?

Speaker 1 (00:13):
He was over there with that your old home practices, Yeah,
help him middle it?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
You know, that's what they're supposed to do when they're hurt,
you know, like stay there, locked in and have a
little bit of they can't go.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
We want him to make.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Sure that they're locked in, getting all the calls, understanding
the call, and being able to watch and execute it
as well in their minds.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Have you decided to for how much.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
The starters will go?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
See, Yeah, we're still kind of working through it. You
know as of right now.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
We're gonna go meet about it currently here in the
next half hour, so have a better idea.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
He's gotta get a full totality of the injuries.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
And you know, we went pretty hard the last few
days in terms of Tuesday and yesterday, So we're gonna
go meet on that right now.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
And chew Miladoga was off with the trainers today.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yeah, just lower leg precautionary as well.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
Lem how did you how did yours respond after pretty
big insue?

Speaker 3 (01:07):
You know, I don't think we went down the field
scored on the first drive on a fourteen play drive,
you know, just I thought we did some good things.
I just thought, again, the same issue that has crept
up a number of times has been the pre snaps, right,
pre snaps, And I don't know who we have six drops.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Again, I think may may have been an eighty. I
almost thought it was eight.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
So you know, that's fatigue, that's lack of concentration when
you're getting fatigued and tired. You know, again, every time
we come out like they go hard. And Tuesday was
our biggest volume day of camp thus far, and you
could see even with the off day Wednesday, some guys

(01:50):
were still feeling the effects of it. And I think
there was just again the lack of detailing concentration when
you do start to fatigue and it does get tired
and you do go on long drives, and you know,
I thought it was still some decent back and forth.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Is there any chance that the starters don't play somewhere? Yeah,
I think there's a chance. Yeah, there's a chance.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I mean, it's just we got to go get this
injury report and make sure because I don't really want
to do too many you're playing, You're not playing that
kind of deal. So we kind of need to just
make sure that we're, uh, if we are putting you know, Trevor,
we make sure we're you know, we're protected and we
have the right guys in front saying with the runners,
things like that, just making sure that we're not putting
people in vulnerable spots because we are injured.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
You mentioned that the team played a role in some
of the.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
Maybe messy stuff you So how much of that context
or contexts that you applied to when we're trying to
evaluate just.

Speaker 6 (02:42):
What you're seeing from.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
The guys day to day out.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah, it's a huge part of it. Obviously.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
You know, there is a huge difference between being in
conditioning test shape and football shape, as we all know.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
And so you know, we we still.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Have a few weeks till we have to go play
a game for sixty minutes in that stage at one o'clock,
which is kind of the goal, Like, you don't fully
I don't want to peak tomorrow, and now we'll have
to pull back on them to get their legs back,
and now we're going into week one slow or slower,

(03:15):
like the goal is to peak at Carolina and so
we are like, I'm not expecting them to probably be
in full.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Sixty minute shape at the moment. That's still a work
in progress.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
But the point you made was the point we talked
about yesterday a lot, was when you start to get
into those moments, that's when we need to do more
to come together, like communicate more. Your legs are starting
to go, You're starting to get tired. Force communication, forced
to get my cleats in the ground and get into
the proper stance so that, man, my fundamentals, my mind

(03:52):
is right prior to the play. And then yeah, you're
gonna have to fight through some of these days in
camp and some of these hot days and we're.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Going in a full score image like that. So it's
great that.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
We're able to kind of replicate those moments and hopefully
we can get another one this weekend. So yeah, he's
you know, he knows how to be a pro, Like
he understands the preparation, how to interact with his teammates
in the meeting room settings, the kind of questions that

(04:23):
he asks in the meeting room settings and then going
out on the grass and applying.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
It not only to his game but.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
To other people's game and trying to bring people along
and force communication, like they have to all communicate on
defense as one and that's the way it has to be.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
And so that's a.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Non negotiable for Jordan and the way that he kind
of operates, and then he's made plays when when the
balls obviously come his way and he's had opportunities.

Speaker 7 (04:50):
Obviously, Anton Bild really back after the Mate six guys
and then time yesterday. Why those guys.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
When you see them them, Yeah, I think it's just
giving people opportunities to see what they can do with
each group and also filling in and making sure that
we're able to finish the scrimmage.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
And it's not a mess. So you know, I thought
that Fred, you know, and why specifically you know, mccury,
thronsd around.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
But they all had moments and they've all been able
to do some positive things, but you know, we got
to remain like the consistency of that, whether it's the
swing tackle or whomever it is, Consistency is, as you
guys know, the key, and it's one thing to have
splash plays or you dump somebody, but then we you know,
have an m A in the next play. Like that's

(05:37):
too much of a roller coaster for offensive.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Line play at times.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
So I was pleased with the guys being able to
step up and take extra reps, especially when those two guys.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Went down Mason off b B.

Speaker 7 (05:49):
What do you need to.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Keep him in the next couple of weeks A new right.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
I mean, he's gonna, you know, need to practice a lot,
you know, in this a lot of time. You know,
you talk about getting in Obviously he's been working out
a time, but as we all know, I just talked
about football shapes a lot different.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Than working out on the side and doing that stuff.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
So we're gonna have to see him really go in
practice and feel like he's.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Getting comfortable with the calls.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Getting a line and make it through practice. I mean,
there's a lot that needs to happen, obviously, for him
to feel confident and for us to feel confident, for
him to go out.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
And be ready week one. I get you, yeah, I
would think.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
So, you know, I mean, I think there's probably a
little bit of a difference there with one being a
whatever it his twelve year vet and the other being
a second third year player. So you know, I think
there's maybe a little bit of a difference there, but
very similar where you know, you don't really know what
you have at the position truly, like you know, you
feel like, man, we could get better here with these

(06:49):
guys coming back on the grass. I actually watched the
Raiders game from last year the other day. It was
Mason's arguably one of his best games of the year,
and it was fun.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
To watch him, you know, get off the ball.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Play physical and violent and you could see he was
kind of coming along towards the end there, and that's
why it's such a bummer that we haven't been able
to see it.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
But it is what it is. It's still a long
season for him to get acclimated and.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Get ready to play.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
Same with Eric.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
He drapedup four drug a quickly.

Speaker 7 (07:16):
What do you see? How a dead gloring?

Speaker 1 (07:19):
What position? I'm sorry in general?

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I think it's a obviously when
you have you know, Caleb's down, which is kind of
a bummer. Unfortunately, he was doing some really good things.
But the rest of the class Dale Mcloud's obviously been
out as well, but I've been pleased with those guys
in terms of, you know, Rayon Lane showing up on
special teams like he did all throughout his college career.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Touton did some really.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Good things in the in the preseason game, and he's
continued to get better. Same thing with Quint, like he's
been steady and blitz puff and doing the things that
we're asking.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Him to do. And you look at Wyatt and and
Jonah as well.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
I've really think consistent, you know, for rookies that's not
easy to do, is to have consistency. I think it's
a it's a group effort. Jack Kaiser, you know, probably
had one of his you know dais he'd like to
have back yesterday, but.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
He's had some good days as well. And you know
they're stacking blocks.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
It's just when we get out into the game, you know,
what of those eyes look like again? You know, can
we improve maybe the composure from game one to game two?

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Certainly are there similarities to the way camp when a
year ago in camp.

Speaker 8 (08:31):
I don't out at campoint, but.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
I spoke to someone he said it took a little
while to get things going, and obviously you exploded on
spreadular season it was just comparable to that.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Ah, Yeah, I think in some ways. You know, obviously
we were a little bit more veteran on that team
in terms of just maybe a little bit more experience
from from some of the veteran players that we had.
But I would say, yeah, there's some similarities for sure.
You know, going against Coach Pole's defense every day was

(09:03):
hard and it took more time I think to get
the run game going just because we man, we saw
so much blitz and stunt and movements every day.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
But yeah, I definitely you know, it's going to continue to.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Take time, guys, you know, I mean, it's not going
to be a finished product right now by enemies.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
Whe mentally physically is developed.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, I think I saw some flashes of like we
had a good conversation you know, about a week ago
or so and just continuing to relay Man.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Like, there's you have a skill set that we really
enjoy in.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Terms of the way that you play the game. You
play your tail off, you run hard as heck. I
continue to believe that he'll be, you know, better in
games even than practice where you don't get a full
feel of if people can tackle him, like arm tackles
out here when you tag off like, that's not a
tackle on him sometimes And so I thought he had

(09:58):
a good day yesterday, and he to continue to take
the right steps when it comes to his progression in
blitz pop and understanding what those reads are and not
getting out too quick, and and having that protection mindset
so that when he's in there's no there's nothing we
can't do, and so that we don't become you know,
predictable in some ways.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Way off from the.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
High school football starts your nest, what is your remembery
of your first startups?

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Oh man, gosh, I'm trying to think, going a long
way back now, two thousand now, when I was a
sophomore starting for my dad, which was a cup of tea.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
But no, we had a the first start. I just
remember not throwing them all much.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
And and I think we we won by pretty handed
handedly if I remember.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
But you know, high school football is like it truly
is so pure, you know, and that's the cool part
about it.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
My obviously, my dad was a high school coach, My
parents were high school teachers, and there was nothing better
than Friday night lights. There really wasn't, I mean, as
much as I've loved you love Sundays in the NFL,
you love Saturdays in the SEC. But man, Friday nights,
Friday Night lights is there's nothing better. And h you know,
I just we didn't lose much. I do know that
I think lost maybe two games.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
In high school.

Speaker 9 (11:23):
We turnnunity just in terms of the off line.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
You know how how challenging is it just.

Speaker 9 (11:29):
To not have the five starters in there.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
That all times, Yes, it's still competition, man, you know,
until we decide it's time to put them all together,
and then that's when we'll truly build. If we can't
have depth and competition, then nothing else will matter. And
we're not just giving away spots where everybody's.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Got to earn it.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
And when it comes time to solidify those five, that
that time will happen. And you know, it is what
it is. We just want to continue to see what's
the best five. That's our job as coaches to make
sure we're putting the best five out there, no matter
who it is, no matter what year.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
They are and how long they've been in the NFL.
And so you know, we may take a little bit
longer on that.

Speaker 10 (12:14):
Getting aclimated, everything, getting alimated to the weather and the
team been going well.

Speaker 9 (12:18):
You seem to, but you can sort of progress over
the last few weeks.

Speaker 10 (12:22):
I think in terms of our physicalities progressed mainly because
you know, we've only had a limited time in pass
so being.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
Able to you know, put those on and and just
play football. I think that's where we repress the most.

Speaker 8 (12:33):
Somebody with a lot of experience, like yourself, how important
is the preseason four year.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
In this age?

Speaker 6 (12:38):
I think, you know, live reps are always important.

Speaker 10 (12:40):
You never know what rip may matter in January or December,
so you know, you just take them all, put them
all in your memory break and you just try to.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Learn from it.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
More so true when you're in a new scheme.

Speaker 6 (12:51):
Oh yeah, for sure.

Speaker 10 (12:53):
It's always true in terms of learning and doing stuff
like that.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
So yeah, you just try to make the best of it.

Speaker 8 (12:58):
Campus kind to talk about it leadership and at Jordan
Lewison's leadership just kind of how have you been able
to help out some of the younger guys.

Speaker 10 (13:05):
Just getting guys to do the right thing every time
instead of just you know, trying to freelance and do
their own things like that's not a probably a good defense.
Good defenses are discipline, They communicate, and then they fly around. Lastly,
so just really tapping in with guys and letting them know, like, hey,
doing the right thing is is cool sometimes, you know.

Speaker 9 (13:25):
So what growth have you seen from Travis Hunter? Just
you know, being able to see him going from one
side of the ball to the other side, working with
you guys in them in the rooms.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
All that kind of stuff.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
I wouldn't say growth per se.

Speaker 10 (13:36):
I'm just impressed just by in terms of how he's
able to do that.

Speaker 6 (13:39):
Like it's y, it's unique to him.

Speaker 10 (13:42):
I can't really comment on it cause I've never done it,
so uh yeah, whudos to him.

Speaker 7 (13:46):
Uh In terms of the rotation opposite you, what have
you seen from the other safeties and for you? Is
it little unique that there's kind of a rotating door.
Maybe it's kind of a little bit more solidified at
this point Accamp.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
Yeah, I mean everybody has different personality type.

Speaker 10 (14:00):
I'm pretty fluid with everybody in the back end, So
you know, whatever they want to do, they come in.

Speaker 6 (14:05):
They sometimes they try to accommodate me.

Speaker 10 (14:07):
I'll try to accommodate them in terms of you know,
who's strong, who's free, but yeah, we just you know,
it's still working progress.

Speaker 8 (14:13):
Is that kind of unique just how a lot of
the different guys in the safety room can do different
things like Sap can go play Nickel, Yeah, do we
can play on the line.

Speaker 10 (14:21):
No, It's definitely a unique structure that we got back there,
and versatility is always at a premium in the back end,
so it's definitely a plus.

Speaker 9 (14:29):
Antonio Johnson On's been like kind.

Speaker 10 (14:30):
Of just watching him kind of grow the course of
training campra it's just his high progression, getting his eyes
right once his eyes are in the right spot. I mean,
he's an amazing athlete, really tall, really rangy, and I
think you see some of that flash out on the
field when he's in the right spot.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
So you've kind of had a couple of picks out there.

Speaker 8 (14:47):
Just how has that been competing against the offense every day?

Speaker 10 (14:51):
Like I said, anytime you can get good competitive reps,
you know going into the season, you just never know.

Speaker 6 (14:56):
You know, most of the.

Speaker 10 (14:57):
Concepts that you see throughout the year, they end up
showing up in some form of fashion.

Speaker 8 (15:01):
So Meiam has said communication, just being open and all
that's is big for him as a player.

Speaker 6 (15:06):
Why is it important to you guys just kind of
get that.

Speaker 10 (15:09):
I think a lot of people in this league value
transparency from a player from a coach and uh and
if you can get that, uh, it just builds connection
and so you know, once that connection is.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
Built, a culture can be built.

Speaker 10 (15:21):
So I think that's why it's so important to him
and it's so important to the players as well.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Can you see that working now? What? What what you
guys were call the coaches? Do you guys feel about close?

Speaker 6 (15:31):
Oh? Definitely, it's coming. You just gotta keep working.

Speaker 10 (15:34):
Like I said, it's it's everybody's first year, so you know,
being able to jail. We're trying to jail as quickly
as possible and play our best football as quickly as possible.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Are you Are you different to it?

Speaker 3 (15:45):
No?

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Indifferent? I mean they call me both honestly. Uh.

Speaker 5 (15:48):
I hit t J a lot, but sometimes out here
try it's really Coloch Grant, uh, whenever he's installing players
and stuff. But we know who you're talking to based
on the list and everything, so it be fine.

Speaker 9 (16:01):
How was this camp going for you? You know, obviously
fifty year I guess going into the camp, just just how's.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
It been it's been a really good camp. I feel
like just I feel like it's like when camp is
just ballancing the heat out here in Florida.

Speaker 5 (16:12):
I feel like that is the biggest thing for me,
just coming out here, get my mindset right, just know
it's will be a hot day, and just being able
to push through.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
But I feel like, just uh, just a mindset.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
The mentality around here is just that growth mindset, just
get better each and every day. And I feel like,
I j I just love that mindset. I feel like
it helps us come in here, uh just reset and find.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Something to get better at.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
And uh, if we ain't here trying to get better
each and every day, it's gonna make us just so
much better.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Whenever we would look.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
Back, just the first day from camp, I like, ya,
y'all probably see it.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
We just so far from where he was.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
And now coaches keep preaching just get better, get better,
And I feel like I love that.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
I know it's a long, weird way, but you know,
you and your brother a week one, what's.

Speaker 6 (16:47):
That gonna mean to you and your family?

Speaker 7 (16:49):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (16:49):
I feel like it it's already a dream come true.
But I feel like, uh, it'd be like a surreal moment.
I feel like it's something that me and him kind
of joked about, laughed about growing up as kids.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
But we always.

Speaker 5 (17:00):
Knew it was We always knew it could happen, but
just just for us to be able to shame and
share that same feel, I feel like that's gonna be
a feeling that we knew what was happening, but we
can't none, Just like it be just a surreal moment.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Man.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
I'm just so proud of.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
Him and just knowing what it took for him to
get to that moment, and just knowing what I had
to go through the gets here to being in the league.
You don't just wake up and just be an NFL player.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
It don't work like that.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
You have to put him a hot a lot of
hard work, sacrifice. My parents had to sacrifice, my sisters,
all my family had to sacrifice for.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Us to busin this moment.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
So I feel it's just a testament to my family. Honestly,
that's what they did that didn't want to be So
I know they're gonna be there deep to support us,
and uh, we're really here because of them, and Uh,
I feel like it gonna be out weall just repaying
them back a BYuT going out there and competing against
each other.

Speaker 8 (17:44):
You spoken to him much during camp, not about the game,
and just about at your first NFL training camp, any
tips or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Ah yeah, No, we we text every day. We text
every night.

Speaker 5 (17:52):
He just uh he me up yesterday, Uh Dan Houston
right now, and he was talking about how it was.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
He said he had a great day, but it was hot.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
And uh we kind of just been snapchaintese and every
day just keeping each other up with everything. And then uh,
coach Bernie is he's a running back coach, and uh
they had facetiming the other day and uh they they
was joking and laughing.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
So I just feel like that kind of just give me.

Speaker 5 (18:13):
Just like I'm not really nervous for him because, like
I know, he got somebody over there looking after him.
Somebody's gonna take him under this wing because I know
the coach coach Barney is about he was here three years.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
So I just love the fact that he has somebody
to just help him and be there for him outside
of football as well.

Speaker 7 (18:27):
Can you excited you to go back to Louisiana this weekend?

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Yeah, Now I'm always excited to go to Louisiana.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
I feel like the biggest thing is just a ticket,
you know. I feel like everybody I think the tickets
free or something. They're really not free. But I mean,
I don't mind whenever I go back to New Orleans,
cause it's my family, like I said, and I feel
like I wouldn't be here without them and their support,
So it's always a great chance to just have them
in a building support me.

Speaker 7 (18:50):
Were you playing on the fifth year option this year?
Does it feel like the antique has been opted a
little bit as you get ready for this fifth year
of your career?

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (18:59):
I mean yeah, But in reality, I feel like it's
just the biggest season of my career because it's the
next one, and I try to attack it like that,
and I just understand that if I don't go out
there and produce, then where we're going to be. So
I feel like for me, it's attacking each and every day,
and I feel like my results rely on my daily habits.

(19:20):
So just coming in here working each and every day,
let that take care of itself, and then the rest
is going to just take care of itself. So I
really can't worry about the end result. I'm just really
focused on the process, and that's going to drop my result.

Speaker 7 (19:31):
Growth mindset, process, discipline. Has a lot of your perspective
been shaped. Do you feel like by this new staff
coming in, do they preach that that maybe previously you didn't.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
Have that sort of I mean most definitely, I feel
like they just really enhanced my mindset.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
I feel like these past couple years I've been.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
Tapping into just like just a growth mindset, just like
listening to Kobe Bryant each and every day, listening to
people who just driving be better, like just knowing that,
like my talent got me here, but my work ethic
is going to give me so much further. And just
having success in this league and then been at the bottom,
I just kind of know what it takes, and uh,
I know, like she I know, I don't want to

(20:10):
be there no more.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
So I know I'm gonna do things differently.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
It changing my mindset, and I feel like Coin definitely
preaches that growth mindset and he definitely enhances it.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
He definitely puts.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
It on the forefront to where I feel like, uh,
maybe in a lot of years, like we knew it
was there, but there wasn't really drilling and drilling and
drilling to where like now it was like, ain't running
from it. We all know what we're facing, so while
we're acting like we're not facing this giant. So I
feel like I love that mindset and only way forward
is through, and I feel like that's really where I
met with it this year.

Speaker 4 (20:36):
Why the changes in competition on the offensive line, in
the in the team work where there's been contact, How
are the running holes running wings?

Speaker 2 (20:47):
I felt that great.

Speaker 5 (20:48):
I feel like it's it's on us as running backs
to see you to set things up. And I feel
like we set things up with our shoulder pass, our
tempo and our spacing and just having an understanding of
the run game for real, and now just the way
uh Cohen just kind of coaches that minzone, the way
he switches things up, and I feel like the hole
has been great, and I feel like it's just on
us to continue to just keep pressing around the scrimmage,

(21:09):
knowing we gotta go setting setting the blocks up and
just hitting the hole whenever.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
We get it.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
So I feel it's gonna be a great year for us,
and we just take to our keys and play within
the scheme.

Speaker 8 (21:18):
It seems like even though the league has kind of
turned past centric, Cohen's offense really relies on the run
games to kind of open everything up.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Just what have you seen from that aspect?

Speaker 2 (21:27):
I mean, it's running back. You love that, But I
feel like I I mean.

Speaker 5 (21:30):
That the league has turned past centric, but the really
great teams still.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Running ball really well.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
Uh enough shot go fire throughout the whole league, and
uh to be able to be a super Bowl contender,
to be a playoff team, we have to be able
to just they know what we're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
We still have to be able to go out to execute.

Speaker 5 (21:45):
And run the ball. So it starts with the run game.
It starts in the trenches, just what the game is won.
And I feel like as long as we take care
of the trenches, everything else will take care of itself.

Speaker 9 (21:53):
Seems like you're you're moving or moving around a lot.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
In this offense.

Speaker 9 (21:56):
Just how have you seen your role sort of expand
another Cohens You're kind of implement.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
In his own thils.

Speaker 5 (22:02):
I mean, it just expanded. It's like he's using me
as a playmaker. He's let me go out there and
just do what I do best. Get the ball on
my hands, be in space, make guys miss, go out there,
score touchdowns, and just just using my strengths as a
strength and building my weaknesses. And I feel like that's
what I love and just moving around. And I feel
like I like that because like now, now we have

(22:23):
all our threats on the field at one time, you
got to watch out for all the guys and obviously
gonna have eyes for me. So somebody else is getting
the ball or me just taking.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Just doing different things.

Speaker 5 (22:32):
We're not predictable, I feel like, and that's gonna be
really big for us moving down the line, because at
at some point the season will come to a down,
it will come down to just execute. And Uh, I
feel like she with him moving me different places and
him getting me the ball, I feel like I'm never
gonna be all of the game. I always gonna be
in the game and be able to make players and
be a spark for the team.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
The Quinn, I mean, I love the Quinn.

Speaker 5 (22:55):
I feel like he reminded my little brother. Him my
little brother. Actually there was actually room mates and uh
in Alabama the moment that the senior the senior camp,
the senior game, so the actually was actually the roommates
and uh they're the same age that both fiery. Uh,
he got that edge to him, but I feel like
it's really great to have and I feel like I

(23:16):
really needed that this year. Uh, just him being and
rookie coming in here, have to fight for what you get,
have to earn everything, and that kind of puts some
perspective from me, like, man, like you get to play
this game like we have.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Just wake up and just just thank God.

Speaker 5 (23:30):
And be blessed like that you're here in the NFL,
so stop taking it for granted. And uh, I feel
like he kind of presents that mindset to the whole
room and he bring that fire in this and that
chipping is and it just rubbed rubus on all the
guys and just we need that.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
We needed that fire.

Speaker 7 (23:42):
Well, so then you got him and that is facial,
a little a little calmer, a little chiller or how
would you describe.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
Uh, basil chill, basil chill, he more chill, calmra like
you said.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
But everybody got their breaking point. Everybody got their breaking point.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
We've seen Brasil get We've seen Basia get there. And
he got a little chip, he gets a little fiery
up out there too, So J J J just kind
of figuring out where a guy's trigger, where the guy's
breaking points is, and uh, la Quinn, he just come out.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
There high, you know, he just come out there on fire.
And that's what I love. Like, you can't you can't
replicate that.

Speaker 8 (24:11):
Is this the most personal running background that you've been
a part of it since you've been in the league.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
Ah, yeah, I would say yeah, I would say yeah,
But I feel like I I feel like this kind
of reminded my first year, but not really because.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
We got we got more depth.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Uh instead of instead of two guys, it it's four
or five of us and we're all really good backs.
But we just gotta continue to keep taking the coaching,
keep getting better at each and every day, and as
long as I, like I said, as long as we
stayed coachable as Scott's women for all of us.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Thanks, thank you,
