Speaker 4 (00:50):
Russ? Russ left Denver, so he did. He did whip
it out earlier this year, and he cracked back on
Sean Payton.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Yeah, I'm just asked. I'm just cudding, But let's not
whip it out.
Speaker 6 (01:04):
Hey cracked back on Sean Payton.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Hey, be man and Sean asked for it. I mean
I say that he did sewn. Sean could have kept
on stepping doing his thing, but you know that he
was going to say habitual line stepper. And you thought
that russ ain't sitting against future. So I guess I
said whatever I want rust was let him know that
you ain't you right?
Speaker 1 (01:25):
You you you bridge too far, You ain't got no pot.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
There you go. They gott't worried about you.
Speaker 5 (01:31):

Speaker 4 (01:33):
There you go. Jerry Jones on this radio show wont
to five three the Fan Tuesdays, eight thirty every week.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Uh, you boys still listening just.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
To find out what's going on with the team Darwin
Cook just to find out was just to find out
what's going on, you know. That's what he told me,
whether the tragedy is out there for those weren't listening.
Last year, running back Dalvin Cook was on the practice
squad and he would get asked by Sean and r
J and Bobby on their radar show, Hey, Dalvin Cooking
played this week?
Speaker 5 (02:02):
And then Jerry like no, And then that was how
Dallas started to find it out.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
And then his family members listen to the fan and
they you know, everybody get the text me ain't playing
this week.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Good.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
So you go in the locker room, I don't know what.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
You talk to the coach and McCarthy trying to act like,
oh none's been said.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
They already actable there.
Speaker 7 (02:19):
They figure that stuff out on Monday. It's it's a game.
It's a game strategy thing.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
So so yeah, so you know, if you want to
know you're playing or not. I mean there's certain guys.
I mean, I guess Jonathan Mingo, you know they don't
ask about asking And to j J. Toya they be
listening this week, you know, every week.
Speaker 5 (02:38):
Yeah, so it is what it is.
Speaker 7 (02:39):
Every Tuesday night thirty, there'll be a spike of listenership
from Miami, Florida.
Speaker 6 (02:45):
Great, right right, we're doing something right in Miami this year.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
Well even though you know Arizona.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Yeah, everybody listen on in whoever's team's playing this We
listen in to see who will will not be active.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
We gotta get ready for uh.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Jerry on the past rushing group said, in terms of
the numbers, in terms of the players that can rush
the pastor we've got the best numbers that we've had.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Okay, let me tell you something. Man, I heard that,
and this is what I thought of. If me, you
and Nick was out there, we can rush the past.
We ain't gonna never get there, but we can line
up and we can rush the past.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Sacks they had last week.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
They didn't have no hits to the like the fourth
They didn't touch that man to.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
The fourth quarter.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
Man, that's insane, old sacking bonicks. How about this, lucid bonicks.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
They got one dude with more than three secs, I mean,
with more than one sec one dude, and he showed
up in training camp. Everybody like, who that Oh, that's James.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Houston tossed the side by the Detroit Lions cast off.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Now he'd already been cast off once before that he
got cut by somebody else, the Browns.
Speaker 7 (03:45):
So anyway, it's only only two pass rushers that have
given you anything. And James Houston and Donald as a
Roku a.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Roc who you know what? As a Rockaho, we can
judge him. We got to judge him by win rate
because he ain't getting there. So we got to say, hey,
he's winning, but he ain't getting no sex.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
And and the issue really becomes you're asking a second
round rookie who is a little undersized. You're looking at
him to do something that Marshawn Lattimore and saying Williams
should be doing at this point time because they already
second round picks and you got Sam in his last year.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
We want you to do better, okay, we want you
to rise above the standard that has been set as
a second round pass rusher on this particular team during
this particular era. Do better. We're not gonna we're not
gonna hold you to that standard because we think you're better.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
And he is better than them two right now, even Filer.
They brought back Filer.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Filer came back a little fat and his shows, so.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
I mean, at the end of the day when you
ask him for he is bad.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
But I was told they had pass rushers and they
was gonna steam it up when they got rid of
that dude who now wears number one in Green Bay.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
And it doesn't matter because that trade was done to
help the run defense and that's obviously been fantastic.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
So I'm I'm not yet off the Kenny Clock band wagon.
Speaker 5 (05:03):
You shouldn't be hit a bad game, but.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
I got a foot out and I got knee pads
on in case I scraped my knee jumping off.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Good team, they can't be the good team. So so yeah,
Kenny Carter back game. Yeah, of course, because a good team,
they can't be the good team. As far as as
a RockA goes, Jerry's hid quote, I like number forty one.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
I like number forty one.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
I think he's gonna be one of the best players
that we've drafted recently.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
That the skinniest fat Yeah, we got.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
To see it. But we're gonna bring We're gonna be
bringing in Chavone Ravel. He didn't say him, but he
just said that we're bringing in the corner. And as
far as the overall long term drafting, I'm.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
Pretty satisfied with that.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Well, let's look at the short term drafting, where when
you and I don't count people like Kayln Carson because
I don't count fifth round tiacks, I count fourth, first
through fourth rounds, just the guys they've drafted on defense
since Micah's year. The only guy's left is Osa, and
I didn't this year because I give you a year
to develop. But you ain't getting no help from the
(06:03):
draft man, and you're not getting no help from free agency,
and so I have decided, oh and overshawing to think,
yeah and overshean hurt all the time, not his fault.
But the reality is you ain't playing because you always hurt.
Not your fault, because you've been great when you play,
but you don't ever play. Not your fault. And it
also been just a guy this year, and you got
(06:26):
durryn blame. But he's a fifth round pick, so he's
a bonus. But those guys they've taken in the first
three rounds. Man, even in first four rounds. You got
your boy for Hoko. He didn't even play in the league.
Speaker 6 (06:36):
Yeah, didn't play one name.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
How you draft to do in the fourth round? That
can't play nowhere? You know, Chouncey Goldsten third round pick,
somewhere else, they sure, right, third round pick.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
He looked decent somewhere else, all right, So twenty twenty four,
just looking at the defensive guys, just the first three
full rounds right after anything. Belore Marshaw, Kneeland bust second
round twenty twenty four, Mayors Lee Foule third round or
twenty twenty He.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Is a bust. Although I see him like I feel
like he could do better. But for whatever reason, they
don't play him, and they see him in practice every
day and they see how bad this defense is. So
maybe they see something that we don't see as to
why he ain't no good.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Twenty twenty three for Hoko going. But that was also
a guy dan Quinn liked. Well, he ain't like him
enough to get him into DC.
Speaker 6 (07:17):
Yeah, he hit him on the practice squad for like
a brief man.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, that man that you could Lazica Smith.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
Twenty twenty two.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Your only defensive player in the top four was Sam
Williams bus number fifty four. Twenty twenty one. They traded
their number one pick from that group. That was Michael Parsons.
Their second round pick from that draft, Kelvin Joseph is
no longer in the league.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
He's spitting lines, but in rap career somewhere along with
Rico what's his name from Baylor, we go gather Rico
Gathers at least he coaching youth football somewhere.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Your third round pick for twenty twenty one is on
a second contract with you OsO Diggi Zua.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Yeah, I ain't seen him with three times.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Your other third round pick for twenty twenty one is
Chauncey Golston no longer with the club.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
He was the Giants doing nothing.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
And your other third round pick for twenty twenty one
is nay Sean Wright.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Like I said, he's he's flashed a couple of times
with the pick.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Six pick six over there the Bears. Then you had
a another fourth rounder. You had Jabrell Cox, a lot
from LSU, and I forgot all about him, him and
Brian Kelly.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
Twenty twenty one, you had two.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
Two, three guys. That's Mike gool right, No, twenty twenty.
I'mould say twenty twenty Trayvon Diggs round two. Okay, but
he heard all you the second he's last down.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
But Neville Gallimore, third round pick.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
I forgot about. Is he still in the league.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
He was in Miami for a little bit.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Yeah, I know what I asked.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
Yeah, let me look, I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
And uh, your first fourth round pick, cornerback Reggie Robinson
from Tulsa.
Speaker 6 (08:56):
He's still a round I remember that name.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
Now here's what I've come to the that was, this
is a conclusion I came with. Okay, and you guys
can certainly chime in right here.
Speaker 6 (09:07):
He's played eight games with the coltist year started in
three of them.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
Look at that boy, go no hack on his name.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Twenty nineteen.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
I've changed my mind, and this is much what k
new he's been talking about. Okay, name the good players
on his defense.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
We did. We did two in the.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Possible, dude, same thing we was playing spades doing. It
was talking about on my podcast early they got two
and a half players. Bill Belichick could not do anything
with this defense.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
Who are you two and a half?
Speaker 4 (09:38):
You got Bland, Yeah, you got Clark, that was he
got Osa, that was that was possible. That's possible.
Speaker 6 (09:44):
Put us Rocker in there.
Speaker 7 (09:45):
No, no, I've loved his run defense and he's giving
you somefing past rush.
Speaker 6 (09:49):
He just has no one around him.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
But that's right when I say, and I looked at
the building blocks going in the next year, you're right, block,
he's a possible. Yeah, I mean if is a possible,
even more than but I'm just that is possible as
a rocket was a possible.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
I know Bland is a building block.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
I know Kenny Clark is a building boom.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
Building blocks.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
The possible is even though one of them at gonna
be here. So I'm paying Kenny Clark. Oh for what
I seen, No, I you.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
Know what his professionalism and his he can help you.
As far as I'm concerned, He's a building block on
the team. Building block. I'm looking at these two dudes
and building block. Okay, okay, that's what I'm looking at it.
You know what, we still need eight and a half
players and and and thank you so you in my
mind and what I've been saying is you need to
(10:44):
if you're bringing back Matt Eberflus, which all indications say
that they are. They think that he's a good coach.
Listening to the owner and listening to the general manager
and listening to the head coach. Do what you did
for Dan Quinn.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
And you can do that because you ain't got nobody.
You should be married to have draft?
Speaker 4 (11:01):
What do you need going free agency?
Speaker 5 (11:04):
What do you need? What can we do? That's what
should be done?
Speaker 6 (11:08):
You know what it's it feels like.
Speaker 7 (11:09):
Go back to that twenty twenty one draft and look
how many defensive players they opened that draft.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
With twenty twenty two one twenty one Parsons number one.
They traded down and ended up getting him second round,
Calvin Joseph third round, Oshodiggi's it a defensive tackle. Third
round defensive end, Chauncey Golston, third round cornerback, nay Shaun Wright,
fourth round cornerback, I mean linebacker, Jabrell Cox, fourth round tackle,
(11:38):
Josh Baul No fifth round pick. Then it was the
other fifth round pick, Simmy fe Hoko Stanford wire receiver.
Then to the sixth round tackle Quentin Bohanna from Kentucky.
Big boy right there. Free safety Israel Akwamu from South
Carolina went in the sixth round, and then in the
seventh round they took Matt Farnock and guard.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
Out of Nebraska.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Yeah. Yeah, so five pick.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
So that's what you must do one more.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Time and then you can guess what supplement that in
free agency?
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Correct?
Speaker 1 (12:06):
So not in the bargain basement, Ben bo or go
make a trade a real linebacker, and.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
You have two first round picks coming up, and you'll
have a second round pick. And I picked Green Bay
to go Super Bowl. So that means you're going to
be at the end of the first round.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Which.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
Thirty two, and I look at that as your.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Opportunity to see, hey, do somebody want to jump back
up in here?
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Absolutely?
Speaker 4 (12:35):
And then possibly trade down that pick and try to
get a few more. That's just you have a third
because you get a third to get George Pickens. So
that's how I'm looking at the first I'm looking at, Hey,
you got your pick, which will be you know, at
this point in time, the way you're going, so you
can't be good teams. You're going to be top fifteen
pick right there, and then you got to pick at
the bottom. Take that pick at the bottom and try
to go down here and get a couple you know,
(12:57):
couple seconds and thirds and you know whatever else you
can do, but keep parlaying that pick into more players. Yea,
put them defensively and you get it. Put them on
these cheaper contracts and build up your defense. That's what
you could do. So when I hear anybody talking about
trading for some of these players, these these fantasy things,
I keep hearing on the radio, like, no, nobody's gonna
(13:18):
come in here fix this thing.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
No, I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
And for some people who said and not, it's just
my opinion saying, hey, we're going to trade for this player,
and this player is already under contract and he's gonna
be with us for a while now, why would that
team trade that player? If that player is really good
and can help you for the next few years, who's
(13:42):
doing that?
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Man's all these kids who play mad in fantasy football, right.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
And that's that's just my thing, is it make it
make sense? And if that player is available, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (13:54):
Yeah, And I wrote George Pickins.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
I wrote after the game on Sunday that they should
be buyers of the deadline. I should be sellers. I've
been talking about that for a couple of weeks on.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
Thank you what you're selling outside of j Jalen Toby
catch right?
Speaker 7 (14:10):
I think you sell Jalen Tolbert. I think you can
sell t j. Bass because he's on an expiring contract.
He can be a starter in this league. He's gonna
go get a role probably in the off season to
be a starter elsewhere. I think you can get him
for a fifth round pick, which, honestly, that's pretty good.
Speaker 6 (14:22):
I put Sam Williams in that mix.
Speaker 7 (14:24):
I'm not sure what you could get out of them,
but I think you could for a team that's needed.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
For a pass rush.
Speaker 7 (14:29):
Speaking of take anything you can get for Trayvon Digs
And honestly, I didn't add this in the article, but
I kind of wish I did. I'd be looking at
Terrence Steele too, because you you have uh Nate Thomas,
who you know, you felt good about, and you want
to get reps reps with the rest of the season.
I think that's an opportunity, and it's an opportunity to
offload your second biggest cap hit right now.
Speaker 6 (14:49):
And that's that's Terrence Steele.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
When's that trade deadline again?
Speaker 1 (14:52):
Here?
Speaker 6 (14:53):
November fourth, a week next Tuesday, election day. It's gonna
be some elections made. You're gonna have to be So.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
The day after your your game against your Monday night game,
let's say you win.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Oh now we're going to Super Bowl full four and one.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Uh which which is always the problem with Cowboy fans,
still sell them. Hey would beat Arizona, got a bye week,
then we go to Vegas, got a bad raids. So
so this would be you saying, you know what, building
next year, building the next year?
Speaker 6 (15:32):
Yeah it is.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
When's the last time we've seen Jerry give up the
boat at his age? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Absolutely, his age.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
Man, people don't know want to give up the boat
like that.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
And he's mister Hopium. So I see what young Nick
Harris is thinking. But you're not eighty one years old.
Speaker 6 (15:55):
Oh no, I get it that.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Yeah, so many should to some of the summers. Let
eighty two summer's left here, So I I see what
you're saying. And but also if we just kind of
all right, go back into here and think about.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
There's no real killer in the NFC's like Green Bay. Okay,
I think I'll say Green Bay. I was picked to
go to Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
So I'll say, you know there's a team Detroit, another
good team right there, right Philadelphia. You know they're a
good team, good team, but you you hung with him,
who knows if a J. Brown gets successful and blows
it up or not. Tampa Bay is in first place,
(16:46):
they're good team. The NFC West is your top three
teams are all right there. But that whole hopium Jerry
sells in terms of making the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Is that what we're doing, just the hopium is to
make the playoffs. Oh well, because once we in the
tournament anything, it happened.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
Hey man, when you're selling what you're selling and he's
selling it, yeah, that's him. You're eighty two. You're hoping
you're not to just sell it up there. That's not
his name.
Speaker 5 (17:19):
You've covered this team for a long time, would's that
been his nature?
Speaker 7 (17:22):
Especially with how many close results they've had when you
look at the Packers, you look at the Eagles game
in Week one, some other even the even the Panthers.
Speaker 4 (17:30):
Yeah, so that's that's all. That's all I'm saying, is Nick,
I hear what you're saying.
Speaker 6 (17:37):
Yeah, they're not gonna do it though.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
I know that, and I'm you and I are seeing
the same thing. But we know the owner who just said, hey, man,
the past rush is you know, we got we got good.
Speaker 5 (17:49):
Numberies like what really, really really?
Speaker 4 (17:54):
And then he said today about the defense, hey, it's
not as bad as it looks.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yes, it did, but he said not that bad.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
And we keep here what corrections and everything. And how
many people spoke in the locker room yesterday?
Speaker 6 (18:05):
Not many? Not many, you know.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
I see us I listened to Shoddy.
Speaker 6 (18:09):
Wasn't one ping pong ball head either, see.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
And they didn't have to take him out of the locker room.
Uh like the Ravens, did you know? Shoty is like, hey,
couldn't sleep. I asked everybody to raise their hand. You
know who thought they played well. Even if you thought
you played well, you think you're gonna raise your hand.
Speaker 6 (18:26):
You know what I wish. I wish Joe Milton been like, well, coach.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Coach out three for four.
Speaker 6 (18:32):
I don't know, man, I'm just saying.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
So you know that I love Shoddy, but that stuff
is like whatever, dog, come on, come on, man, and
then you know changes will be made. We just tell yeah,
I had no talent, dug. You know what changes you get,
what substantive changes you're gonna make on this raggedy, rudy
poot defense.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
I got hope, I got hope. I'm telling what the hope,
telling what the hope is. Hope, Hope, tell you what is?
That's what we got to come back, the hope right hereboy.

ticketing partner of the Dallas Cowboys. You are in the
media Matches off day for the Cowboys to get ready
to host the Arizona Cardinals Cardinals the last place team
got two wins this year, couldn't even beat Tennessee at home,
had a lead against them and they could not finish it.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
Here's your hope for this.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Week, Nick Harris print Jock Taylor. The hope is it's
a bad team coming to tap. It's Arizona. And for
people to say, well, Kyler Murray's nine to oh never
lost at AT and State, at and TC. It's true.
It's coming off with foot injury. So if you're a
mobile quarterback with a foot injury.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
That just means you're gonna have a good game, not
a great game.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
Game the Cowboy man, make this man stay in the
pocket and beat it.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Then we pull a Jeff Gluli on him since he
got a foot problem, I.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
Don't even need to do that, you know.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
And then of course he got he got a good,
good receiver and he won't get the ball too.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
That'll change this week. He'll go to the problem with
the Cardinals and at two and five records, all five
of them lost has been about four points a less
and a couple of them been bout one right, which
means they in every game, which means.
Speaker 5 (22:24):
They the Cowboys almost in terms. They can't close the show.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
They can't close. Now, you know, Cowboys gonna score thirty
five this week in the dome, in the quiet yep
where they can operate. The question is, I don't know
how they're gonna stop Arizona.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
Well, well, I said, your quarterbacks come on foot injury,
so we gotta see exactly what does he can do.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
I don't have any trust in the quarterback right now.
I don't all right.
Speaker 7 (22:50):
I think he'll throw. I think he'll throw your defensive
pick or two. Maybe a tri quest bridges opportunity.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
He has not played in a few weeks. I haven't played
a few weeks. You're gonna be rusty. Got a foot.
So what's been the thing about him in the past.
What's been one way that you can't beat the mobile quarterback?
It's gonna be hard to be a little bit mobile.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Got a foot.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
He was out here today and it was he was
still splitting some wraps, which Kobe said to practice.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
So we got to wait till a Thursday report.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
But I'm just saying this line's up for you, and
as embarrassing good.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
Thank goodness, I to go to Denver. That was you, Nick.
Speaker 4 (23:25):
I knew early on man man, they don't ever win here.
That's one trip I'm not. Hey, don't you go ahead,
you go get that. I didn't want to go there
because I knew the locker room be a feuderals. I
ain't going to dinner for that. Did that last time
in twenty seventeen. I'm good.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Uh, he's so benevolent goodness, get close to California and
your roots. Just go to Denver. Have your folks lit
to you in Denver.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
I think he's got I think he's got somebody he
knows up in Denver too, So go ahead, man, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
Knocked out with it.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
I only took whether it should be good.
Speaker 5 (23:53):
Yeah, I'm going to Vegas stuff.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
It's legal.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
So so we're talk about him bad.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
This week.
Speaker 5 (24:01):
They're gonna be at home. It's gonna be Monday and night.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
You got an extra. They prepared, they're gonna they'll show.
This is what they'll do, and it's a bad team.
They'll show against a bad team. You showed up because
Washington'll showup agains Arizona bad team.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Yeah, they do, they do, They do do their their
dirty work against bad teams.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
Yes, with a quarterback who's got an issue Jalen Daniels
came in here healthy, they were able to get to him.
This this if they ever lined up that you could
give Kyler Murray his first loss. This is versus. You're
Kyler Murray and l here and you've you've got to
do this. If you can't beat this team. I mean,
can you imagine, So you got the next two games
(24:38):
you need to get.
Speaker 7 (24:39):
You have to win those next two and then those
next four. You gotta go three and one. You gotta
figure out a way to go three in one and
those next four. It's gonna be very hard with the Raiders. No, no, no,
starting with the Eagles.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
Eagles, then you turn around later, yes, then you go
to Detroit. Yeah, I mean that's.
Speaker 6 (24:56):
A position you put yourself in at this point. That's
what That's what these losses to the Yeah, there's some
Panthers will put you in.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Those teams you gotta you gotta get them. You gotta
find two in addition to the ones that you air
quoted supposed to win.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
So I'm not even thinking about the Philly kansasity. To me,
those are those are the three losses because those are
three good teams. Okay, So I don't I don't have
any hope there. Your hope lies within these two games,
the next two games, because these are bad teams and
this is what.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
You do, beat bad teams.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Yeah, Minnesota may be bad by the time you get them.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
Even when you yeah, they are quarterback issues. But even
when this was a playoff team one of McCarthy, they
had problems with good teams. Yeah, because it was can't
stop to run, They can't stop to run, so.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
It was Zirconia.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
So right now you've got an Arizona team that's got
issues and challenges quarterback who's not going to be able
to do what he normally does. This is the hope
this week, and we're gonna talk about you like a
dog because they gave up another one hundred and seventy
nine yards of rushing on twenty eight carries six point
four yards.
Speaker 5 (26:04):
And here's bo Nicks with four.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
Touchdown passes on nineteen completions, very after throwing a pick.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
And I read somewhere and I would it could have
been Edward, but it might not have been. Forgive me.
This was the first time they scored forty points in
game four hundred yards since twenty fourteen. I mean every week, man.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
Man, Russell Wilson throw for four hundred. I mean, you know,
before he gets up.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
Some every team puts up the best numbers.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
Of the year, careers high, everybody getting career I mean
I forgot JK. Dobbins was in the league. He go
one one hundred and eleven yards seven point four yard
average on your fifteen totes.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Before even start talking about the rookie point three yards
per before touch.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
And I saw I saw the rookie yard J Harvey
last year. I saw him before or can't play TCU.
He was a nice player, you know, wasn't a guy
like hey, knowing the Cowboys he's a run back, but
oh yeah, you should go get him.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
No, I disagree. I liked r J coming out. That's
that's neither here nor I.
Speaker 4 (26:59):
Thought he would good, but he wasn't like, oh yeah,
there were some other guys. Now the Ohio State dudes.
You you talked about it. I'm like, yeah, yeah, I
do that. But I'm like, oh yeah, I didn't feel
that way about it. Well, only the Cowboys make you
look good. RICO DWN or franchise high so franchise or
career highs.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
These guys are getting on this Cowboys defense.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
But this week, this week Marvin Harrison nine or two
o five, you know, see.
Speaker 7 (27:27):
Not on track quest Bridges. I have a nickname for him, ready,
a track called quiz.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 6 (27:37):
I thought about it too late. After the interception.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
I sit here and I just think, you know, if
it's one guy that has been totally underutilized and done
a disservice by the quarterback, it's Marvin Harrison.
Speaker 5 (27:52):
That guy's that guy. I mean, you look at I mean.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Had some drops early, so he contributed to his own demise.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
But you look at hook from Ohio State, what he's
doing in Tampa with Maker Mayfield. Yeah, you put Harrison
over there because Harrison was a better player than a book.
I mean, it wasn't who I'm sorry, man, I just
think the quarterback has done a disservice to a fantastic
young wide receiver here.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
I mean, but a quarterback is just a guy.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
The quarterback is just a guy. But the plug that
that receiver is more than just that. That's a difference
making receiver.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
Man.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Sometimes it's bigger than you. Sometimes you get drafted by
some organizations and it's just right to go collect his
check because my future that used to be.
Speaker 4 (28:37):
The Bengals, that used to be where you go your
career went to die. But you know he's he's and
then you see the tight end trade McBride. He's put
up numbers. Why because Kyler hasn't been there and everybody
else has founded So look, there's there's there's some real
there's some real question marks about that contract that gave
Kyler Murray.
Speaker 5 (28:54):
How good he really is?
Speaker 1 (28:57):
He in a in a league of thirty two starting quarterbacks,
he's probably i'mber seventeen eighteen nineteen.
Speaker 7 (29:06):
Lack of preparation caught up to him when the when
in the athleticism started to die down. You know, that's
when the preparation really starts to matter for these these
second contract quarterbacks.
Speaker 6 (29:17):
And Kyle never had.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
That, And I just I don't I don't know if
the arrow is going to go. I don't know if
we've seen the best of it. Yes, at this point
in time, I would have to say, I think we've
probably seen the best of Kyler Murray now that he's
injuries coming back here.
Speaker 7 (29:31):
Kyler Murray, Shoot, he had a year where he was
second or third MVP voting. He was he had a
great year.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
Before his injury, and and that was also when he
was able to use those legs. It's almost like a
Lamar Jackson type of thing. Hey man, he's gonna beat
you one way legs or what's he gonna do?
Speaker 7 (29:46):
And it is it's not time to be good twenty eight,
twenty nine, how old twenty He's.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
Still got time to be good.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
Then I go back to that team. I just still
the organization, the coach.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
Right now, I don't know, I don't I don't think
Johnathanann's gonna make it pass this year. Yeah, you know
that that lost to Tennessee was bad and they haven't
really recovered. So I just don't have a lot of
hope in the Cardinals. You know, not that I'm sitting
here saying should be waving the flag for the Cowboys
and say, yeah, yeah, but this is the kind of
game the Cowboys went at home Monday night. I guesst
(30:18):
another team that is bad. And yes, the Cardinals have
been in all their games one score games. Okay, that's
what they do, but they don't know how to close
the show. This is a game I think the Cowboys
close show, much like I think.
Speaker 7 (30:29):
Washington just kind of speak to that franchise. Carson Palmer's
in their ring of honor. I just think that's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Wow, Carson Palmer's in the Ring of honor.
Speaker 7 (30:38):
Carson Palmer is in their ring of honor. Right to
Pat Tillman, I'm like, what are we doing?
Speaker 5 (30:43):
Kurtner there, he is, okay.
Speaker 6 (30:46):
But Carson Palmer's in there. That's bad. Played five seasons there.
They made the playoffs twice.
Speaker 5 (30:51):
I'm so old.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
I remembered Carson Palmer's senior year in a playoff game
against high School high school. Carson was at Rancho Marcus
Mata Yep Margarita, and Deshaun Foster was running for Tustin
High School. I think they combined for like sixteen touchdowns
in the football game. Of course, Carson goes to USC
and Hugh Jackson convinced him to stick there because they
(31:14):
changed They fired John Robinson and they brought in Paul
hack and Hugh Jackson convinced Carson to stick around. And
then Paul Hackett was terrible, and Carson was about to
go to the NFL, but there's like, hey, you're only
gonna be a third round pick. Stick around. They kept
with and on head coaches. They bringing Pete Carroll. Norm
Chawi wins the Heisman and ended up being the number
(31:36):
one pick in the draft. But his first game ever,
he came off the bench against Drew Brees and the
LA Coliseum and beat him.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
It's a good way to come off.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
I'm like, man, two special quarterbacks I saw that day.
But Carson Palm'm telling you, Carson Palmer, when you remember
Troy Aikman at UCLA, Carson Palmer looked like that, like
that is it? And then they ruined him until Norm
Chow fixed him. They ruined it, They ruined the guy.
Speaker 6 (32:01):
And now USC Purdue is a conference game.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
So wow, wild, that's crazy, wild wild.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
All right, let's got our final break in here. This
is a medium Ashal Daskoboys.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
Do guy?
Speaker 8 (32:11):

what it said so far on your Monday night.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
We ain't saying Bobby since he left with a bag.
He's still gorging himself, Bobby belf one. Now this is true.
I'm saying Bobby, Bobby was eating bag after the show.
We ain't seen him since this.
Speaker 4 (35:00):
This is true.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Food call a baby.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
That's what John Jacques Taylor recognized. Thank you very much,
Thank you very much. I've also got young young Nick
Harris the for what we'll start telegram joining us right here.
I am new. He strugs. This is the media matter.
The Cowboys get ready to face the Arizona Cardinals. Here, uh,
George Pickens, I saw a reporter ProFootball talk dot Com.
Speaker 5 (35:20):
Said the Cowboys had no contract talks.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
Now, you know, Edward are gonna get mad because he
reputed first. Now in today's world, which is an aggregation world,
nobody really cares who re put it first. But since
he worsd on this show, he gonna come in moaning
and groan in Thursday if we don't give him popper
critic So ed warder, I'm sure Pro Football Talk did nah,
(35:45):
but maybe they did anyway. Uh, Now, the reality is,
did you find that surprising? I didn't.
Speaker 6 (35:52):
Yeah either.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
I never thought there's been no indication that they were
going to indulge in any kind of conversation with him.
Speaker 4 (36:00):
So and this is just me when I when I
saw that, if I'm the agent, why would I do that?
What would you do with enter a contract conversation?
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Anyway?
Speaker 4 (36:12):
I would? I would at this point in time, watching
what he's doing, I wait for the end of the
year to field as many offers as I could.
Speaker 6 (36:20):
Well, so you'd field it free agency.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
Yes, I'd love it. I mean this far, there's no
need to sign a deal. And anyway, any deal starts
at the franchise number is I think it's some let's
call it twenty eight for conversation, any contract starts at
two and fifty six, you know, and so you know
you ain't finna give me that right now, So that's
just where it start.
Speaker 4 (36:43):
And then I'm just off the top of man, I'm
trying to remember when's the last time they did a
deal in October or November for a play.
Speaker 6 (36:51):
I can't think.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
I just normally they doing makeup deals in August because
they didn't sign somebody they should have signed, and so
they go give the bag to somebody who's it's kind
of unworthy of the bag that they get.
Speaker 6 (37:01):
So they love that. Week after Auxnard just all done.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
So that's why, just so just you know, the read
report me, Hey, why are we surprised you? This is
not what they did, It's not who they are, no man.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
And and that's okay. If you want Piggins paying on
a franchise tag and i'd like to see I don't
know that I would pay Piggins based off of what
I seen this year. And here's why. What you heard
in Pittsburgh behavior wise does not match what you've seen
in Dallas. He's been a perfect model citizen for all
(37:34):
intensive purposes in Dallas. So I'll hit you back with no,
I just want to see I can't do that two
years before I pay you.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
So I'll hit you back with this kind of thing.
I go out to Kyrie Irving. I was added, like
what are you doing? What are you doing? I mean
I ended up getting on the phone with Mark, Mark,
what are we doing? And but let me finish finish
that the atmosphere did matter. The atmosphere mattered, and with
(38:03):
him so far, and I've tried to, you know, be
in the locker room and see this kind of stuff.
Gets along with the quarterback, and the number one receiver
gets along with him because the number one receiver sees
the value in what he's bringing. And so if you've
got those factors there and they pay you, I think
(38:26):
this is going to be.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
A fish and only difference because I don't disagree to
anything you said. The only difference is j kid Enrico.
Can we say his name on his shoe? Nico?
Speaker 4 (38:39):
Nico?
Speaker 5 (38:40):
Can we say Nico Harrison?
Speaker 1 (38:41):
Hey, it ain't me, It's Nico. They both knew Kyrie,
so they had history with him in terms they know him.
They know who he is. Don't nobody here know him.
That's the only difference.
Speaker 5 (38:52):
But they're getting to get him and so setting issues and.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
It's been no issues. But he han't been magic. You
don't you don't you don't pull the ring out, Nick
into the two things. Once she's seen you d number
two and didn't divorce you and didn't leave.
Speaker 4 (39:07):
You, and then two you've seen her so mad at you.
Did you see how she asks when she's really mad.
Don't really don't listen to anything Jacques saying that.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Happen man twice, I know if I know of which
for a total thirty seven years, I know of which
I died.
Speaker 5 (39:21):
Don't don't, don't Nick, Nick toss it twice.
Speaker 6 (39:27):
Okay, I am with Jock on one terrible. I'm with
Jock on one point.
Speaker 7 (39:32):
I would tag him to see how he responds to
the tag and still leave open the possibility of getting
an extension don before the season.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
That's cool, And I'm not opposed. Like he's been the
perfect person, So I'm cool.
Speaker 5 (39:43):
Oh so Dickie's it has been a fantastic sit in
a disappointment.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
Okay as a football player, Okay, as a man. He's
a stand up citizen that's beloved.
Speaker 5 (39:52):
So you paid him, had a great year, and now
you're disappointed.
Speaker 4 (39:56):
It can happen.
Speaker 5 (39:57):
I'm just saying it can happen to anybody. It can
happen to anybody.
Speaker 4 (40:02):
So you consider.
Speaker 5 (40:03):
People think, well, I'm gonna make them do that. Okay,
they try to make It's just they try to How
did that work out?
Speaker 4 (40:09):
You know what, man?
Speaker 1 (40:09):
You know what the pastor said, and this is one
a few things I agree, but just on your past,
you know this man said, one time she sees you
take and she smells and she stays she's yours. No,
he said, sometimes you just need to take kids. No,
just see how they react church you went to. Don't
don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. But nah,
I'm I'm gonna stop all that because I was about
(40:30):
to say something. Man, I didn't need to go there.
Speaker 4 (40:34):
You don't want to.
Speaker 1 (40:36):
You don't want to, you know you so, But anyway, uh,
sometimes you know, you just you tag them and that's
just the thing to just see what the reaction, how
you do?
Speaker 4 (40:46):
So why we gotta okay, why do we have to
play game?
Speaker 1 (40:48):
Because you need to see who the hell people are
because people lie to you. We they act one way.
What do you tell me about money? Money just accentuates
who you are.
Speaker 4 (41:00):
And were still trying we like explain, explain, Oh so
Diggy's do with this, Oh so he's the same person
he'd been.
Speaker 6 (41:06):
Let me go Devil's Advocate for Let me go Devil's
Africa for a second. Sorry, your pastor.
Speaker 7 (41:12):
We've talked about with these with these contracts, that this
team waits too long and they get the money added
on to the back end and they end up paying
a more expensive price than they could have if they
signed him earlier on basically by tagging him, you're doing
the same exact thing there.
Speaker 4 (41:27):
Okay, you paid playing right, you paid Bland. Now you hurt,
you regret that you paid digs got digs on what
you saw was a nice deal. Didn't work out that way.
I mean, you don't know, you don't know. And hey,
I'm gonna make him do this because they said.
Speaker 5 (41:41):
That to Tanklods. You show us one more time. Okay,
showed them one more time.
Speaker 4 (41:44):
Guess what cast some line more money had to give
him the largest contract franchise history. Where have they shown
you they really kind of understand how to play this game?
It was the last great contract they have on somebody.
Tyron Smith, Yeah, Tyler.
Speaker 6 (41:59):
Potentially depends how it plays out.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
It could have been at least when Emmitts sign.
Speaker 4 (42:04):
Okay, how long we're going through?
Speaker 1 (42:07):
All right?
Speaker 6 (42:07):
I got one Williams?
Speaker 1 (42:11):
Did he did you show up on time to sign?
Speaker 6 (42:13):
Is it two year deal or it's one year? Three milk?
Speaker 4 (42:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (42:16):
See see see that.
Speaker 5 (42:17):
Now you didn't got him, You didn't got second night free?
Speaker 10 (42:19):
You know?
Speaker 1 (42:20):
All right?
Speaker 6 (42:20):
Hey man, that's another one you gotta worry about it.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
But this is I'm just I'm acting. I'm talking about
what they have done and what what the reality of,
okay is, no matter what I would like to see, Like,
I don't care if they signed Pickings, go signed.
Speaker 7 (42:32):
That is the point I would make to people who
are like, why not sign Pickings now? Okay, why not
sign Jovante Williams now? Because he can get hurt.
Speaker 6 (42:37):
The rest of right, it's a position there's different beat
up and getting different different islands. Yeah, absolutely, but same
kind of thought process.
Speaker 5 (42:49):
But we know the running back market doesn't pay the
same as a Y receiver.
Speaker 6 (42:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (42:53):
I'm not trying to compare the numbers necessarily, just more
so the thought process behind getting it done now on
an EXPIRENCY track. I don't think there's any use in
doing that for either side.
Speaker 1 (43:03):
No, he wanted to go see what the market say too.
I'm not gonna sign for five million dollars a year
here and I find out the market is eight because
he ain't been paid paid paid.
Speaker 4 (43:14):
All Right, it's interesting conversation. We'll continue.
Speaker 1 (43:18):
Yeah, we're gonna have yes, Yes.
Speaker 4 (43:20):
We got all seats.
Speaker 6 (43:21):
We used to talk about something.
Speaker 5 (43:24):
Yes by the way by week I'm not.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
Here, guys, that's okay, all run it. Me and me
and Nick getting paid, whether you come to bid week
or not. Me and Nick got bills. Me and Nick.
You know, me and Nick ain't got nine jobs.
Speaker 6 (43:37):
Rebound board man gets paid.
Speaker 4 (43:39):
Go ahead, see if we can get clean.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
You're gonna teach that week. You're gonna teach that week.
He's just leaving us side.
Speaker 4 (43:46):
I'll be online, of course, on line, sir. I can
teach anywhere. Okay, I'll be teaching from bah. Yes.
Speaker 1 (43:54):
So you're vacationing during the buck Okay, that's say.
Speaker 4 (43:57):
Yes for the first time. Some of us are here
for the season, some of us for the first long,
you know, considering where this thing is, I think a
five six weeks, I'll be okay, Okay, I've done this.
Speaker 5 (44:09):
Twenty seventy years now, about I've done this long. He's
been live.
Speaker 6 (44:13):
I did just book a vacation for the day after
the Super Bowl. I'm like, this team ain't getting anywhere
close to worry about you.
Speaker 4 (44:20):
I could definitely could have MLK weekend, man, I just.
Speaker 7 (44:25):
Didn't want to be on the foot for what was it,
fourteen hundred If they ended up making the super Bowl somehow,
some way.
Speaker 6 (44:30):
So I was like, you know what, wait right, I waited.
I waited easy, this loss did it. I was like, heybaby,
what's coming book.
Speaker 5 (44:35):
That they made the Super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (44:36):
Since she's been alive.
Speaker 6 (44:37):
No, they've not made an NFC championship game.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
So that's that's kind of what I thought.
Speaker 4 (44:40):
You should have done it, all right, Nick Harris, Jack Taylor,
and thanks to Chris Beam, Josh everybody else to dllas
