Speaker 1 (00:04):
What's going on right?
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Have them pulled it a.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (00:11):
How do you feel things you're coming guys?
Speaker 4 (00:15):
Yeah, I think the biggest thing is just trying to
get one percent better every day. I think the more
times you hear it, the more times you practice with
the guys next, you definitely get some more Comfortability and
confidence are.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Your primary role.
Speaker 5 (00:27):
But what's the overlap between tight end and fullback and
this offense?
Speaker 4 (00:30):
I mean, yeah, fullback shoes tight ends huge. I mean
you got kind of be a Swiss army knife or whatever.
I mean, you can be a tight end, but certain
situations you can be in like a traditional fullback role.
So I mean it's just not anything else. If you're versatile,
it helps a lot. So like joint practices, I mean
they're fine competitive. I mean you definitely get to go
(00:50):
against different guys, get to truly see where you're at.
I mean going against guys that you know they haven't
seen the same offense for five months, so you know,
you can, you know, truly kind of see where you're
at and get to go against different kind of matchups
every program. You know, it's a different type of personnel
that they whether you know, it's all big and strong.
You're all, you know, value quickness over everything else. So
(01:12):
it's it's a good fun test.
Speaker 6 (01:14):
The difficult at all to multiple days and then getting
outside and it's like at all challenging.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
No, I mean it's got a view it as exciting.
I mean, you got two days to go to work
against another NFL defense or good NFL defense, So I
mean it's just a challenge. Like anything else, you need
a rise to it or you can you know, get
a little nervous. So I mean we're we're really excited
for the opportunity. It comes to the play.
Speaker 6 (01:37):
Action passes in this offense and let's get out to
like the joint practice against Washington.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
You guys get a couple of teats, curious what.
Speaker 7 (01:45):
Makes those play successful?
Speaker 4 (01:47):
I mean in that case, it just didn't cover it.
So I mean that's what made it really successful. I mean,
no one, you know, we aren't doing anything the other league,
you know, other teams have never seen before in the
history of this game. Just it popped for us because
I mean, now I don't know what happened when we
were running wide open. It's you know, love for it
to be that way. But most of the time it
isn't usually that wide open.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
There's an important versatility being able to move around short
scout's guy seeing about wide and information.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
What'd you see from campus?
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Yeah, I mean hungry young player. I mean you definitely
see him every day trying to get better. That's a
great attitude, very intelligent and you know, wants it. So
I mean my job is, you know, older players, just
be a resource for them, you know, kind of do
the best I can to kind of try to show
them how I work. And then if he has any
questions and he's doing a tremendous job, super proud of him.
Speaker 8 (02:32):
And have those older mentors in terms and sometimes go
out of your way to try to get pointers and
you try.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
To be back to me.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
I mean there are at times where like I'll pull
young guys aside. I'll be like, hey, look, you can
do it this way. But like based on like what
I've experienced, like be ready for you know, X, Y
or Z. So it's just like anything else. If I
was in another company, I've experienced coworker but like hey, man,
like how do you see this business deal or something
like that. So it's just a cool thing about our
room and see you know, we've hunter self to you
(03:00):
guys in year ten and so if young players have
any questions, I mean we we aren't gatekeeping. We don't
you know, try to hurt the young guys whatsoever. It's
like we love that, you know, we still get to
be here at thirty years old. So I mean we
have an open locker policy, our rooms wide open. You
got any questions, but I mean the biggest thing to
your points, you got to just try to lead by example,
got to try to put your best foot forward at
(03:20):
the end of the day because I mean, you're being
evaluated as well as everyone else.
Speaker 6 (03:23):
So you guys are pretty well into camp and they
like today like that challenging unch you guys do, especially at.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
The end situations.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
Yeah, I mean, I think coach Rabel does a great
job of putting us in different situations. I mean, as
you know, train camp's not supposed to be. It's not
supposed to you know, feel good. Sometimes days are gonna
be awesome, some days they're gonna be more of a challenge.
It's all about just how you respond from it. Just
working with Tomas so like what coaches, Yeah, I mean,
very intelligent, been a interim head coach, in this league
(03:55):
coach for a while. I mean, sees the game through
a lot of different perspectives. So it gives a lot
of a lot of good pointers in that tight end room.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Other things to think about.
Speaker 7 (04:05):
Thank you, thank you, appreciate how y'all doing. I did
a little bit, a little bit.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
Yeah, I just spent time, like I started obviously the
first five games there, and then I was going against
their defense and stuff, So spent I got a little
bit of a relationship, but I spent most of the
time on the offense, learning the offense with the crash
course I was there. I mean it's aggressive. You just
turn on the tape. You know that, you look at
(04:36):
any stats, you know that he's aggressive. He likes to blitz.
But you know he likes to blitz, but also try
to just keep the offense off balance. You know, I
think sometimes like defenses can play defensive, he plaies to
tries to attack the offense with his pressures.
Speaker 7 (04:50):
His looks, things that he throws at you.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
So for us, you know, we just have to go
in with the plan, understand like what our looks are,
what our reds are, and hit the ball of our
hand quickly when they're listening and when they're not be
able to red react and get the ball to the
right place.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Progress in.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Yeah, I think just like our tempo, our flow, our cohesiveness,
guys are understanding like the why and the intentionality of
each play, which I think is so important. Obviously, right
now we're not doing a lot of game planning. You know,
we're running our base plays and trying to execute them
the best we can. So when we start game planning,
it's really important to know why we're calling something, what look,
(05:32):
how we're trying to attack the defense. So we also
know if we want that play and we don't want
that play, and what play to get to to have
a better play.
Speaker 7 (05:38):
So I think that's where we're growing.
Speaker 5 (05:39):
You'll do that with reps and time, more walkthroughs, more
tension out here on the field.
Speaker 7 (05:45):
And it's been good to see.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
And obviously we've got a big task ahead of us
with a really good defense and a really good team
coming up this week, and so we're excited for the challenge.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Obvious is that something that's.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
Not really no I think in the NFL, like if
you just look at it, each year is really a
lifetime of his own. So whether you're with the same
team or a different team, it's still a different team
every single year with the people and the coaches and
the people organizations that are in the building. So no,
not really just attack every moment, every opportunity and embrace
the time with my teammates and coaches, try to build
(06:24):
relationships the best I can and focus on the opportunities
I get on the field.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
That experience.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
Yeah, definitely have thunder rules. It was a great It
was a great memory, and that's what it is like.
You know, I moved on from that time. I endrove
my time there and there's great people there that year.
But I'm excited to be here and focus on this
upcoming season.
Speaker 9 (06:43):
I've gone back to.
Speaker 7 (06:44):
Their defense so suppressive. Hear a lot of people talk
about it different exactly.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Different things.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
It's different, I would say, I mean Flow spent time here, right,
so it's similar to some of the defenses that Bill
had for a while while he was here. I've Flows
his own spin in ways that he tries to attack
the offense and the quarterback, so he has different But
each defensive coordinator has a different personality and they're gonna
throw different wrinkles at you, and obviously it might seem
daunting when you first just hear about it and you
(07:14):
just watched like TV copies. Once you dive into the
film and understand the why and how we're gonna tack
him on offense, teams start to get put together. So
don't make plays, We'll make plays, and that we just
see us to go out there and compete and try
to make the best play each and every time, take
care of.
Speaker 7 (07:26):
The football, and we do that, will be in good shape.
Seems like, yeah, him.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
You know, he fits really well within the scheme and offense.
He does a great job in the routes that he
has of being fast when he needs to, but also
being strategic when he needs to.
Speaker 7 (07:45):
He's a QB.
Speaker 5 (07:46):
Friendly target like in the red zone or on third down.
He gets a lot of good matchups and he wins
those matchups, which is most important. So we saw them
plays that he made in the game. But as you
guys are probably seeing like he's done it practice starting
back in the spring now throughout camp, and it's good
to see it in game situations and he's growing each day.
You know, his I would say, his attention to details
(08:08):
kind of probably what has allowed.
Speaker 7 (08:09):
Him to take advantage of his opportunities.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
He's actually the older guys like myself Mac for any tools,
anything that we're seeing that can help him get open
and do the right thing. He's doing extra walkthroughs, he's
playing the mental game before practice and before the game
so that he's prepared when he steps on the field.
So he deserves all the love that he's getting. But
I think he understands that. You know, it's just one
(08:31):
day at a time. Take advantage of each opportunity, and
each day is a new day to go out and
dominate and make plays on the field. Yeah, you know,
I thought when you get in a resonant like to
score touchdowns. I know I missed Kyle on a slant
I hit Bake on the same route in practice, So
I told Ky, oh, I'm a touchdown. You know, we've
(08:53):
been his first one in the league. At the end
of the day, you know, it's just when we get
to the resionand when score touchdowns, Right, that's the biggest thing.
I think we can echo that sentiment as of offense,
like he played well and there's obviously always ways so
we can improve. So smooth operation scoring touchdowns in red
zone in the red zone, because at the end of
the day, that's what the biggest games come down to.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
The NFL.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
Yeah, it was really good. He's been working his butt off.
Man throws the ball really well. I thought it was
really good. Like watching him step in there. You know,
when you have to wait to have to get out there,
especially with your first game, there's a lot of nerves,
and he seems like he handled it, really handled it
really well. He attacked the huddle, getting out of the huddle,
wasn't low on the clock at any point, made the
right mic points, got us in the right.
Speaker 7 (09:36):
Play, and then execute it. So it's cool to see that.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
Like anytime you see a young guy step in and
take advantage of any opportunity to step on the field,
I love to see it because I know, like opportunities
to play in this league can be rare, and so
when you get a chance to get out there, like
you want to go out there and put on good
tape and execute and play at a high level.
Speaker 7 (09:52):
And so for him to do that, I know he
felt good about it. It was really cool to see for
the QB room and keep stacking days.
Speaker 10 (10:00):
You know, this time of summer, days kind of blur together.
Curious just for you through three weeks, is anything, what
has surprised you about working here, playing for certain coaches
to scheme.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
I think it was just good to see Raves's mentality
from the beginning, Like my first time with him in Tennessee,
I got.
Speaker 7 (10:16):
The end of the year, team was beat up.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
They had gone through obviously the trials and tribulations of
the NFL season, you know, And so I got there
just week seventeen, week sixteen, ready to go. But now
to see it from the beginning has been awesome, Like
see his attention to detail, the energy that he approaches
every day with the passion, and how he like motivates
each and every person across the roster and the coaching
staff has been awesome. And Josh mcdaniels's attention to detail
(10:39):
has been great for us as an offense and me
coming in learning the offense from the first time, just
hearing from him. So I wanna say I'm not I'm
not surprised, but I've enjoyed that aspect of it. Just
being here through the entire team building process, pushing guys
every day, them pushing me every day and any day,
trying to be the best team and player I can
be on a consistent basis, Moti, how's you motivate me?
(11:00):
I think like just attacking each day, right, Like sometimes
like you can. I think it goes for myself and
the entire team, right, Like you can have a little
success in a practice or a period and you can
kind of not get complacence, but like, okay, like I
had that success and it's going to affect the next play.
And his mindset is you know, it doesn't matter what
you did yesterday, right, It's all about the next play,
the next opportunity and I and that mentality and mindset
(11:24):
is the exact one that you have to have because
on a week to week basis, you can have a
good week, right, but teams also know that you had
a good week and they're going to bring their best
stuff the next week. And so you have to continuously
have that fire to get better, to want to grow,
to push yourself and and in the day compete against yourself,
which will ultimately bring out the best thing you each day.
Speaker 7 (11:42):
Awesome, appreciate y'all.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
First time the summer we've seen you against the scout team.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
Yeah, because I feel like this is another phase of
trade in camp to feel like you guys a kind
of hit another step.
Speaker 8 (11:59):
I mean, I feel like we're trying to take steps
every day and get better each week. You know, So
I would say, not another phase, just just another day
of work. You know, every day we're trying to get better.
Speaker 6 (12:12):
How much transition has been going from a system where
you're more trying to hold your ground and want more?
Speaker 2 (12:17):
And how does that suit you feel like?
Speaker 9 (12:18):
Universe?
Speaker 8 (12:22):
I would say that it's it's not really. Uh, I
kind of feel the same.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
You know, I work.
Speaker 8 (12:28):
I work a lot more of this off season, so
you know, I'm just taking manage the opportunities that coach
is given me with the freedom to go past rush.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
You know.
Speaker 7 (12:35):
So that's that's what I would say.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
What do you like? What do you get out of
joint practices in Minnesota?
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (12:42):
A chance to go against you know, another team. You know,
you kind of get that game feeling. You know it's
actually but it's it's practice. So if you treat practice
like the game, the game would kind of be the same,
if not easier.
Speaker 10 (12:55):
Yeah, for you guys, maybe kind of get chemistry.
Speaker 8 (12:58):
Yeah, you know know we started we started building chemistry
and OTAs. So it's just another chance, another opportunity to
grow as a team, could become closer, you know. You
know right now we're offense versus defense and special teams
is one. And as we get on the road against
another team now we're the Patriots, so we could we
work on being a whole one team?
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Sorry?
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Yeah, would you focus on getting.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Better my overall game?
Speaker 8 (13:24):
Just wanted to, you know, not put myself in a box,
whether it was playing a run or just just playing
the past, or just strength or just speed, you know,
just work on overall. So you know, it's a new
coaching staff, so I want to be able to show
what I can do on all areas of all areas
on the field.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Just another coaching staff, fresh opportunity.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Feels good. You know, it's always good being on the field.
Speaker 8 (13:48):
Get a chance to go out there and do what
I love.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
You know.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Is it all right?
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Thank you guys? Yeah, that's how's it going? How you on? Man? Yeah?
Speaker 11 (14:05):
I guess it was. It was a little moist today,
but it was. It's always good. It's always good work
to get get get the work in.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
So it was good.
Speaker 8 (14:16):
It feels like the first time the summer we've seen that,
I feel like you're moving on to the next.
Speaker 7 (14:20):
Days of training camp.
Speaker 11 (14:22):
I mean today, yeah, today it was our first time,
but I think we're just trying to just get to
work in as much as we can and at the
same time spotting the offense and the defense. So either way,
it was just trying to find more working as much
as we can really.
Speaker 7 (14:37):
Have impressive.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Friday night. Is that like an you feel like he's.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Underrated or No, I wouldn't.
Speaker 11 (14:47):
I wouldn't say it's underrated, but it's something that I've
been trying to work on and I wasn't really happy
with my performance from the last time, so I got
I got a lot, a lot of stuff to work on,
but definitely an improvement that I've been trying to focus on.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
And honey, you know you don't want to give.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Away specific moves, but what goes into working.
Speaker 11 (15:04):
On your past really is nothing. Just being able to
to win my one on ones on an edge. And
I don't know why it took me so long to
understand that, but it's something that I've picked up and
continue to hold on it and practice. So yeah, coaching staff, teammates,
you know, it's it's been it's been a collective, uh,
(15:24):
just being everyone being helpful for me. So I've been
just trying to feed off everybody and taking what I can.
I think, just being able to be comfortable and just uh,
I think coach Coach Clinton has done a really good
job with me just being just go out and be
myself and don't put a roof over my ability. So
it's been it's been fun to go out and try
(15:45):
to rush and be like them.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
So it's been good. It's been good.
Speaker 11 (15:51):
I mean, just being able to learn and be especially
playing with the guys that are next to me and
in the room. It's real easy to feed off that
and be able to just work off of them.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
So it's been good.
Speaker 7 (16:02):
Did you get to get up?
Speaker 9 (16:05):
Uh?
Speaker 11 (16:06):
I try, I try, but yeah, just like I said, man,
it's been It's been such an improvement from uh, literally
a year ago. So it's been good. You know, it's
been good. It's always exciting. I mean, I'm not there
yet at all, so it's it's a it's an everyday thing.
By stacking my days, so I'm still still one day
(16:28):
taking out of time. So yeah, I appreciate y'all. Thank you,
thank you, appreciate you guys.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Good good.
Speaker 6 (16:39):
Think I'm a little too short for this first preseason experience.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Takeaway?
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Uh, it was.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
It was honestly a surreal feeling. I mean, you dream
about these moments. I mean, practice is one thing, but
when you get to actually live out the game experience,
I mean, I don't take it for granted, and I'm
grateful for it. But now it's just trying to rent
and repeat.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Obviously the story I feel.
Speaker 6 (17:02):
Like Friday night, mm hm you. I mean I felt
like I was getting open, but those are something some
players I feel like I could have capitalized on. So
I'm not really proud of that. A's a sense, but
this is what we have practice for, you know, to
come back, get those corrections and you know, make up
for those mistakes.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
Control what you can't control.
Speaker 6 (17:25):
You know, Uh, next play, keep a positive attitude and
when you get that chance, just make the most of it.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
What did you have your reaction to Diggs?
Speaker 1 (17:33):
What you had that long one down the side line tackled?
Speaker 11 (17:36):
Was in the passing affarance that didn't get called half
in your twenty five yards?
Speaker 7 (17:41):
That like give you some like juice a little bit
like my guys.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Got me on the sideline.
Speaker 6 (17:45):
I mean I didn't see it. I was getting tackled
to the ground and I was looking for the ref
to call something. But I mean that's just lets you
know that everybody's seeing the same thing. And I mean,
even though we don't get those calls, I put that
on me to go make that play at the end
of the day.
Speaker 7 (17:59):
So I should have been better.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
Oh, I was juiced.
Speaker 6 (18:05):
I mean, I mean, it's a guy's gift for you
to get your first touch and there will be a touchdown.
I mean those are the things you go to sleep
and dream about. So being able to see him acted out,
I mean I was juiced, and I was like, Okay,
I gotta get one now too.
Speaker 10 (18:22):
What you got here you're looking forward to.
Speaker 6 (18:25):
Uh So, I feel like I got the wheel going.
So I'm a lot more prepared. Uh So, doing a
lot of film study on those guys and just going
out to compete and then just dominate. Oh, most definitely.
I mean I feel like in this league, I mean
(18:46):
you should always try to strive to get one percent
every day. So that's what I'm just trying to do,
break by bridge, step by step, so that way I could,
you know, hopefully by the end of the year, before
the season I'm at a PEAKAMA game. I mean, if
I get a chance to meet him. Yeah, But honestly,
I mean I'm just loving the guys that I'm surrounded by. Now,
(19:07):
what do.
Speaker 5 (19:07):
You feel like?
Speaker 7 (19:21):
Uh, he's been a great guy.
Speaker 6 (19:22):
I mean, honestly, a great mentor, dropping a lot of gems.
I mean he's been in the league for what a decade.
I mean it's pretty long, so I mean all the
gyms and the knowledge that he's dropped on us, I mean.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
It's been very useful.
Speaker 6 (19:33):
So just a great dude and a great teammate overall,
favorite gem.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Uh, don't confuse.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
The result with the process.
Speaker 6 (19:44):
I think he tells me that every day, and our
coach tells us that every day, So I think that
one sticks with me a lot.
Speaker 10 (19:49):
I want to ask you, fellow rookies, opportunities to get
out there.
Speaker 6 (19:55):
I mean, I mean that means a lot, especially those
big guys up front.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
I mean, you gotta love those guys.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
Those are things that help us eat from the tight
end room, receive room all the way back to the
running room. So the fact that they're making plays and
they're doing that exceptional level. I mean, it just puts
a smile on my face and it motivates me to
do a lot more, a lot of dominance. They're not
shining away from anything. They want all the smoke and
then those guys are really relentless and smart.
Speaker 7 (20:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (20:28):
I mean you just see the route and then at
the end of the day, you coach up the route.
Speaker 7 (20:31):
You don't coach up the end result.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
So that's what it is.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (20:37):
I'm still waiting, so hopefully they don't fill my agenda
with too much. I mean it's like basketball. You know,
you line up, you check the ball up one on one,
and at that point it's just like I don't want
you to touch me. I don't want you to be
in my way. This is my bubble, so get up
out of there. So my thing is just create as
(20:57):
much separation off the line. So when I'm at the
top of my route, things go a lot smooller. But
you know, some things don't go to plan, but I
try to make it go to plan.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Huh yeah, for sure.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
Yeah, I ain't gonna dig too much into it.
Speaker 7 (21:11):
But he was there, thank you, thank.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
You, going on.
Speaker 8 (21:32):
Right?
Speaker 11 (21:33):
Yeah, well together, Uh no, that's good.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
We just gotta keep keep building.
Speaker 9 (21:42):
You know, we're coming out here every day trying to
protect our technique, I mean, perfect our technique, and you know,
keep building that building that relationship.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
You know, guys in and out.
Speaker 9 (21:52):
We just got to still come out here and make
sure that we all go in the same direction. Now
we're just executing, you know. That's been a big thing,
is just coming out here to make sure we're executing
the call. Being where we're supposed to be, doing your job,
not doing anything extraordinary, just being where you're supposed to
be and just trusting your teammates. Oh yeah, I mean, shoot,
(22:20):
it's like a game. It's like a game, even more
so than than the game, the preseason game. A lot
of good work, a lot of good individual work, but
then also team you know, going against those guys, they're
gonna be running. Uh obviously they've been working on what
they're gonna run for the season. So we're go, We're
gonna see what they've been working on, just like they're
gonna see what we've been working on. And uh, just
(22:42):
going out there competing, you know, the joint practice. I
feel like those are the funnest days, you know, we
have there hitting somebody else other than the people we
see every day. So oh yeah, yeah, So because everybody
can't just go home or whatever, we are in the
same hotel, so we'll we'll spend them extra hours on
(23:02):
the plane, on the bush in the hotel, and we
got a little down time. So that'll be good, good
for us to you know, come together a little more.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (23:14):
Now, we were getting were getting there. We're not where
we want to be yet, but we shouldn't be. We
still just two weeks in the China camp, but we're
still coming out here, getting better every day, striving to
get to where we want to be.
Speaker 10 (23:30):
One.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Uh it's not really a benchmark goal.
Speaker 9 (23:35):
But I mean, obviously we want to be where we
want to be week one, but sometimes we might not
get there. But like I said, coming out here every day,
just take making sure we taking a step in the
right direction. Were eventually gonna get to where we want
to be. I mean it's different, it's different, but I
(24:04):
try to just approach it the same. Uh, just coming
out here, Uh, make sure I'm leading by example, you know,
trying to perfect the techniques that they're teaching me every day,
you know, on my feet my hands and executing rushes.
I just try to make sure make sure I'm doing
things right for the for the young guys. That's that's
looking up to me. Like you said, the uh the
(24:24):
defens I had in Philly, I did a lot of that,
uh just watching how they work and you know, picking
their brains when I had the opportunity. So I tried
to get the opportunity to the young guys as well.
Speaker 10 (24:35):
Go back.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Twice when you were there.
Speaker 10 (24:39):
This is going way back, but just any memories of
their offense and how it tests you, maybe differently than
other offenses.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
The practice.
Speaker 9 (24:48):
I think it was, what's the coach the coach he
from like the the Shanahan Tree or whatever. So they
kind of run the same same type of offense. A
lot of you know, not really a lot of power runs,
but they get the lineman on the move. So you
gotta be down in our stands ready to go because
they're gonna they gonna be running trying.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
To uh scoop, double scoop, all that stuff. Get on edge.
Speaker 9 (25:10):
Let the running back put his foot and ground on
the back side and get vertical. So we gotta make
sure that, like I said, we got feeding the ground
in our gaps and you know, like I said, touch
your teammates being where you supposed.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
To be and we'll be all right.
Speaker 6 (25:23):
What is one of the biggest things you.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Bring here playing the championship.
Speaker 9 (25:29):
Team being you know, every day you come out here,
you got something to prove, you're trying to get better. No,
every day it is, it's no letdown, ain't no all right,
we're gonna chill today. It's every single day you're trying
to find a way to get better or something. And
you know that's one thing I tried to carry with me.
(25:50):
Make sure that I'm always going hard. Uh so I
get to the game, it'll be like second nature.
Speaker 6 (25:59):
The team. You know, the guy that's gonna be the
loudest one, like let's go, we gotta get it going.
Speaker 9 (26:04):
I ain't gonna be the the loudest one, but i'm'a
i'm'a say something if it need to be said.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
But we've been pretty good about it.
Speaker 9 (26:10):
So far in our room, cause they know that that's
what we preach every day in the d lower room
is it is coming out here giving effort and you know,
just executing what what you suposed to do.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
Yup,
