I'd love to hear what type of contact you had
with the Patriots leading up to the draft and if
you sort of thought.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
This was a place you might end up. I had
a contact that the Patriots twice.

I had two zone calls with him, one prior like
last week, and then I had another one probably during
the pro day.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Time when I was working out during that time.
Speaker 4 (00:27):

had a informal. I had an informal with him at
the combine when I met him.

I see he moving around, I get really excited. So Uh,
just to even be picked to the organizations, like this
is just amazing to me. And you know, crowd real
tears when I got there, crowd real tears when I
got there, and uh, you know, it's just it's just
a real moment. You know, it's just a moment. I
(01:22):
worked hard for. Everything I did in my life, I
worked hard for and it's just been his journey. And
you know, just just because what Picky was, I don't
care what Pickey was.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
I was. I got picked up and I'm just decited.

To be here and work and just to follow up.

Uh? A player that's gonna do whatever the team needs.

You're gonna get a dog, though, You're getting a dog
that's that's off rip you gotta steal.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
But honestly, just I got it's gonna work.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Hard every day and it's gonna handle this one eleven
and it's gonna you know, just looking to help the
change the culture there and just add to the winning
that's going going off.

getting to join one of your teammates from LSU and
Will Campbell.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I haven't even got a chance.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
I haven't even got a chance to really talk to Will.
I'm waiting to call him.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
I had to jump out then.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
It's the first thing I done did iven jumped on
here with you guys, just to meet you guys. I
haven't even really looked at my phone or anything. Just
been in breaking time with my family. But just to
be on the same team with Will again. It's just now,
you're an amazing player, and it's just right back to
battle and how we used to do an old day.
So you know, we've been at the same school for
two years, so it's just exciting to get back.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
To work with.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
The next question Mark Daniels.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Braiden, Congratulations.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Is it true that you carry an NFL football with
you everywhere you go and what's the story behind that?
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Yes, I do. It's actually upstairs right now. But I
can't wear I can't rock around with him.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
No more. Got a's to Washington commanders, but I.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
Need me a Patriot's Ball, so uh, every year, I
had a guy named Sherman. He gave me a ball
at LSU, and uh, you know, I got it from
Jay and Dance because Jay and danmes to carry.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
His dream everywhere. So you know, you always want to
carry your dream everywhere.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
And I started doing it my last year at LSU,
carring around me everywhere. When I go to the grocery
store and I go to the mall, go anywhere, just
have a ball with me and just uh, you know,
keeping the ball post. I just believe the ball is
the program. So you know, when I started doing that,
got to got the game days. Everything start getting you know,
surreal when you start punching the ball out and you
used to seeing the ball. When you holding the ball
(03:37):
so much, you get to know the different spots on
the ball.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
You ever get any funny reactions when you're carrying football
in a grocery store?
Speaker 4 (03:44):
Oh yeah, I always get some type of reactions. They
always look at me like I'm crazy, Like okay, yeah,
you must be obsessed with something, or you know they'll
be like that's a child or something.
Speaker 2 (03:55):

What are the biggest keys when it comes to getting
to the quarterback?
Speaker 1 (04:12):
But what do you do well to get into the
backfield and tackle the QB throwoffs?
Speaker 4 (04:16):
I win my one on ones, That's what I do.
I passed rush, I win my one on ones. And
then I'm going to with Coach Smith, you know. That's
I'm going to a great coach that really knows how
to tease the position. So that's just something I'm really
looking forward to doing because I'm gonna really know, I
really know how to get to the ball, you know,
I really just know how to find my ways and
just get around the ball.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
You know.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
I think that's the big big thing with me, my
pass rushing and uh you know it's strowing my capabilities
is just being able to pass rush. That's that's that's
the big thing for me getting to the quarterback. So
it's just winning your one on ones. I think that's
the big thing about me. Thank you, grats it's sir, and.
