Speaker 1 (00:00):
He's already. Hey man, just doing what I gotta do. Casey,
keep on l s you guy. You know he's gonna stany.
I like that shirt too. I like that.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
I like that. Oh yeah, one of the fans made it.
He's been making guy's posts all the time. You know,
he made me one from allways, when I was at
orgon Elishu and always back when I was a chapel hill.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
You know, I'm enjoying that. So I can't look at that.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
So my mom let on.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Like, uh, we got skip night coming up, So we
got Skip Night coming up soon. But so for the
most part, we got to tell our jokes and everything.
You know, every time we coming to it, we gotta
tell jokes. And uh, the most part for me, I
just happening to bring snacks. You know, I got boys
like Keon and k C. I got big boys in
my room, so they always want snacks. But you know
they eating them old head snacks like vanilla wafers and stuff.

(00:48):
Like what we're doing.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
How much does it helps?

Speaker 5 (00:53):
All the.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Just a good one on one iron chop of irons rep.
You know, that's just you know, going back to two
years you know, years being an LU going east each other,
just a good work going to each other. You know,
I feel like you know me and will know each
other real well. I feel like we know each other
better than aybody else out there because we've been in
college together for a long time. But just overall, just
good work between us and just always just iron shops,
always a competition with me and him.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
What goes on down there.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Uh for now, trash talking ain't sparked up yet right now.
So like right now, I feel like it's just more
of just everybody holding it in. They still they skills.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
It's like it's week two, you know, the third day
and past, so everybody just holding it on they skills.
Everybody just focusing on what they gotta do. It haven't
been that much. Haven't been that much trash talk yet.
When I'm letting it on down Kim, I'm pretty sure
it's gonna spark us on working. Honestly, for me, it's

(01:49):
uh being a rookie just coming in just because rushing
and college and the aggressing NFL is two different things.
So for me, I'm not really too focused on winning
and losing. I'm worried about it's my steps right, am
I getting am? I am my stuff. I gotta get
off of my stutter, and my is my eyes rights
and my alma round my angle right. So mainly my
focus is going down there one of the ones to
just make sure the little details are fixed up. Because
your little detail was fixed up, then the winds gonna

(02:11):
come with it.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
It is now.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Nobody told me it got this hot of hell. That's
one thing. Nobody told me that. But honestly, compared to
Louisiana heat, oh, I don't know. My first year ls
you come from Oregon, it was one hundred degrees with humidity.
I'm out there dragging across the field. So I don't think.
I don't think. It's ain't late, but it's it's hot
of hell. You know. I enjoy it. You know, it's
it's feel way better than how it does in l
s U. So I'm enjoying it.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
I have so many veterans, Uh, I feel like I
feel like it's like a I feel it's like it
gives me like a head everything, you know, because it's
like I got guys like Herod that's been in the
league for like seven eight years, and uh, seeing how
he get off the ball.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I got guys like Kean that's like the bigger frame
guys that you know, because I'm kind of in between you.
I can do either either or but just having multiple
guys I can go to that can just help me
with why with just moves, just learning the game and
just taking me take me out of their wing. They
all took me under their wing like it was nothing,
and I appreciate them for it. Most surprising part of
the process, the rookie stuff like majority just bringing in

(03:15):
snacks all the other stuff and just you know, I
heard about it, but like now that I'm in it,
it's like, okay, it's a lot more to come to.
It kind of feels like you crossed over to a
fraternity or something, you know. So I got them some
vanilla wafers. I got some gushers. That's really gushous for me.
And don't tell them I said that. I got like
some fruit snacks. They got some flower seeds. Let me

(03:36):
see what else I got in there. I got some
I got some checks mixed, and then Harold. Harold run
through essential order like he breathing the oxygen. So I
don't understand it, like I didn't probably refilled him up
about six seven times. But you know, I'm enjoying doing it.
So you know, it's a blessing to be here. So
I'll do whatever they tell me to do. Oh no,
I live on myself. Yeah yeah, yeah, by myself.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
You know. You know, me and Josh always go back
for because you know, he went to Florida State and
they beat us the last two years, so he always
wanted to sit there. You know, that was their super
Bowl and everything, so he liked to He liked to
talk trash on that and everything. But Josh, my guy,
you know, but you know that's he working hard. Everything's
coming together. You know, we got a real close rookie class,
and uh, I just enjoy it. It just feels like a
family when I'm.

Speaker 7 (04:19):
Out here camp very well before pick obviously get at.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
He always been a guy that's that's been poised. You know,
he always been able to block the outside noise. Really
don't pay attention to stuff. He just focused on mainly
his one eleven just getting better every day, like one
percent better than what he gonna do.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
You know, I love will you know, he always just
he keeps me on straight too. Because like just seeing
his mindset from college and just carrying.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Over to the league.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
It's like he focuses on his skill and just the
stuff he wanted to get better at. So, uh, he
don't really listen to the expectations and everything. He just
focused on what he got to focus on. No, the
only time I saw Hi was he was on like
the l s U Wall for like wearing them eighteen
and everything. But it's kind of like a circle and
like a like a full circle moment seeing casey uh
during this time right now. But uh, it's been everything

(05:08):
that I expected of them. You know, God has taking
them minute his wing and teach me everything and also
you know, staying on me.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I saw him had a little twill every time he
touched the ball on the catch he scored a touchdown.
You know, he came in, he came in blowing smoke
when I said, I didn't know he played the same
position as me and there and everything. But you know,
I got I got educated on it. So now he's
just clown me for it now, thank you. It's it's
appreciate what's going on on.

Speaker 8 (05:36):
The other day that guys have talked about is that
you and Christian developed chemistry something.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Uh just being in the same meeting room. Uh, being
together individual drills and team you know, constantly just having
old conversations of you know what'side you like, rushing on
what you're trying to work and let's work off each
other and you know, just building off games and you know,
we just have a lot of conversations. Lockers next to
each other. So we come in, we we see each other.
We we had those conversations all the time.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
I believe you couldn't wait.

Speaker 9 (06:08):
To hit somebody.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Oh yeah, no, it's been We've beengain some working. She
is just hot here today. Uh. You know, they making
sure we're getting it in durils, getting out, going to team,
coming back, you know, moving fast, getting getting adjusted to
that to that uh game type tempo. So there's been
some good work. Have you heard a head coach as
much as no, No, he he don't mind uh putting

(06:32):
a pad on it and getting in there and doing
the dirty work with us. And you know that's one
of the reasons I told him to come here, you know, Uh,
him being a former player playing in the trenches, knowing
what it's like, knowing how it's supposed to look what
to expect? Uh, ain't a better teacher than that?

Speaker 3 (06:51):
A lot?

Speaker 4 (06:54):
What personally.

Speaker 10 (06:57):
Expectations?

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Do you feel that? I mean you you know it's there.
You know that. You know, when I invest that much
into you, you know, the good the bad, You're gonna
hear it all all day every day. I'll just come
out here and try to get better every day at something,
figure out a way to get better at something, constantly
improving on the technique that they coaching me on, and
you know, winning whenever and in whatever spot they put

(07:20):
me in. Just going out there being productive and bringing
guys along with me.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Is there like the balance of.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
At Oh yeah, no, he always he always gonna be
in your ear, talking a little noise to you. Just
that's just who he is. But at the same time, uh,
he just pushing you. He just wanted to see you.
I want to see you, you know, go go even
harder than what you already at the brink. He wants
to see you push it, push it further. And uh,
he just want the best for us, So he gonna
push us to we till we get to the to

(07:53):
get to that point. Oh, I can talk a little
back back to him a little bit, for sure. I
definitely can talk back to him. But you know, at
the end of the day, he did coach. You gotta
have a little little respect for him. I mean you can,

(08:14):
you can. The one on ones is a drill. You know,
you get in there and try to work work some
new things. I think they're doing a good job of,
you know, really kind of just waiting to see what
we're gonna do, you know, kind of send us at
the line. So what you gotta figure out what to
do with that, And you know, it's a process going
through it and like I said, coming out every day

(08:35):
trying to figure out what's gonna work, Uh, what's your
go to, what's a counter and just trying to keep
it simple. He got a big mouth, he talk a lot,
but now he'd be bringing that juice and that energy.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
You know.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
He another one of those guys that's always in your ear,
you know, trying to get everybody juice up, get everybody going.
But you know, he playing his butt off. He worked,
he worked out off season, and you know it's showing
ones about versus. I mean, of course you're trying to

(09:14):
win the rep. But you know it's a drill. So
you can play the drill a little bit if you
if you want to, or you can set it honest.
But like I said, that's just that's just how it goes.
You know, you're trying to figure out a way to
win every rep. You know, if they're gonna play the drill,
you still gotta figure out a way to try to win.

Speaker 8 (09:31):
But that's how you got acclimated to this system, obviously,
how how you gotten acclimated to the system.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
The similarities, Uh, it's a lot of similarities. I'll say.
The difference is everything is about getting off, getting off
the ball. That's that's the main thing I'm working on
getting adjusted to the technique is you know, getting off,
make sure I get my feet in the ground and
just having that that being in that leverage, you know,
and everything past run, all those different things. I said,

(10:03):
that's probably the biggest difference with Fanjo's kind of more. No,
we're getting off, but we're kind of reading at the
same time. Playing in the front. This is like we attacking.
We ain't reading nothing, We're attacking and trying to get penetration. No,
hes gonna be a solid player, hen He's gonna be
a solid player. He he he, he got a good coach.

(10:25):
You know, he got a good player and Mike Michael
Winu is all he said his name. So he got
a good vent in his room that that he learned
it from. Uh now he good. He got good balance
for for a young player like that. So now the
future is bright for the last couple of day.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
The defense or that you didn't realize field alright?

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Said it again, I bet.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
A couple of things watching it.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Uh what am I seeing?

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (11:01):
I didn't see on the field. I mean, I don't
know how to answer that. I mean, we out here working,
we get to say we we of course we're gonna
see suff that we need to correct and work on.
But you know, we come out here we busting our
tail every day. So we're just trying to go in there.
If we didn't do something right, give it the coach,
make the corrections and try to come out and I

(11:21):
make the same mistake was here from the Celtics.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Do you have any basketball experience in your background?

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Noah, I played uh back in like my freshman year
of high school, but I had stopped playing and just
focused on football after my sophomore year high school.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
But I do.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
I do watch the NBA though, So I was a
big man.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
I was.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
I couldn't really drive the good I'm a just foul rebound,
play defense a foul. I was filings shoot. Today was
the first day we ran rans and stuff. You know,
we were kind of just trying to play bas looks

(12:04):
on everything. Today was the first day we really put in,
put in a lot of the stunts that we're gonna
be doing. But no, it's good to just get a
change up. Like I said, I you're gonna play the drill.
It's kind of good to like have a change up
to make them play the drill. Honest, but you know,
it's good. It's definitely good to have that for everybody.
You know, figure out how they're gonna slide the front,

(12:27):
which way they're gonna slide it, or they gonna pick
up this guy were picking. You know, it's a lot
going on, so it'll keep them on their toes. What
is that?

Speaker 4 (12:42):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (12:43):
I mean? He he a guy that come in. Don't
say too much. I just see him working, just coming
out here working and you know, trying to win his
verses on the outside set in the edge, and I'll
just see him you know, coming in and getting a
job done. Yeah, that's get out. It's been great, man.

Speaker 10 (13:03):
It feels good to be back with the boys, man
and getting to work.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
How frustrating is the first few grades?

Speaker 10 (13:11):
Uh, it wasn't frustrated at all, you know, just going
through the process and getting ready to for my opportunities
when I get out there.

Speaker 9 (13:19):
Chal Just how happy are you to beam out here?

Speaker 1 (13:21):
And you know.

Speaker 10 (13:23):
It's happy. I'm happy. I'm really I'm really happy. Excited
to be back out there, you know, running around a
getting physical.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Uh, it's fun.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
How's it been with the new offense?

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Try the new system?

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Yeah, it's been great.

Speaker 10 (13:37):
I mean we've all been coming together, you know, learning
this new offense and trying to make it happen out
there on the field. Reflect on last season, what you
learned the last season, how can take that to what
you're trying to accoplish this year. I mean we're learning
each and every day. So you know, I'm going in
with a new focus, a reset. You know this is
and and you know coming in and sided and then
ready to go ball. What excites you everything? Just to

(13:58):
be here right now having his interview, you know, that's exciting.
So every little part of the process is It's like,
how would you describe your mind? I mean everything is
pretty much the same, working hard each and every day. Uh,
you know, trying to earn the road, go out there
and play for the team.

Speaker 9 (14:16):
Do you feel like first do you feel like.

Speaker 10 (14:29):
Yeah, just like you said, standing on top of things,
you know, making sure I'm still getting those missile reps
and even though I'm not taking those physical reps and
being ready for the opportunity whenever you know, I got
the opportunity.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
What do you think about your game this year last year?

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (14:45):
I don't really think nothing really different.

Speaker 10 (14:46):
You know, I just got my foot in the water
that first year, so now you know, when I get
the opportunity to get going, uh, we're gonna.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Make it happen.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
The top game.

Speaker 10 (14:56):
It's been great, a great coach coming there with a
lot of energy each and every day and high expectation
out of each and every one of us in the room.

Speaker 7 (15:03):
And your your first practice back, I think touchdown cast
there from Drake Just how nice was it to do that?

Speaker 2 (15:08):
You know after missing It's been great.

Speaker 10 (15:11):
You know that just goes into you know the preparation
of just being ready for the opportunity just dialing on
details and you know, going out there and executing.

Speaker 8 (15:20):
What worked extremely hard to get back from what we
were doing.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
What was the process like it was?

Speaker 4 (15:26):
It was?

Speaker 10 (15:27):
You know, it was great, honestly, Like you know, I
had time to you know, work on my craft and
you know, heal my body and get right. So you know,
I'm excited to be excited to get the ball rolling.

Speaker 9 (15:37):
So you working off to the side and stuff. You guys,
what was that like? You just gotta kind of work
with him, maybe a little bit more one on one than.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (15:48):
I mean you talk about a guy that you know,
works hard, you know, been through a lot of adversity.
So for him to come in to this, to this room,
and you know how the knowledge that he have, why
not why not learn from that, you know, why not
pick the gym that he has and be able to
you know, apply.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
That to the field as well. So there's nothing different.

Speaker 10 (16:16):
Yeah, I mean, I don't go off the narrative of
you know what people think of me. You know, I
know who I am, and I know the work that
I put in each and every day, uh to go
out there and help this team win. So I'm gonna
keep working hard each and every day. You know, I'm
gonna keep uh dying, going into my preparation and applying
it out there on the field. So yeah, that's what
I'm gonna keep doing.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Exactly.

Speaker 10 (16:44):
I don't even think about last year. You know, we
got a new staff, new team. Energy is great around here,
so you know I'm here now. I'm stepping each foot forward.
I'm keeping my faith in the Lord and Jesus, and
you know he's been with me throughout the whole entire way,
and you know I'm gonna keep my faith strong and
keep working.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Do you feel like rushing guys? No, I think I'm
in a fight with myself.

Speaker 10 (17:08):
You know, I'm competing myself each and every day, uh
trying to be better than I was yesterday. So as
long as I got that mindset, I'm gonna be great.
The competition is high, you know, but like I said,
we all competing with ourselves and that's what makes this
room special.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Thank you. Thank you think I'm good.

Speaker 9 (17:33):
It seems like you're stepping up whenever you get an opportunity.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Which you can't look like.

Speaker 5 (17:38):
It's been really fun just playing with my teammates, competing
with my teammates getting that the opportunity to go out
and compete has been really great.

Speaker 11 (17:46):
I'm confident in that corner. I'm having fun doing it,
and I'm.

Speaker 5 (17:49):
Just taking to each and every day step by step.
I manifested it on they say make players on the ball,
and I told myself make playing the ball, and then
just came to.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Me one of those improved screen. What's a lot?

Speaker 5 (18:09):
Just my off season, just taking it day by day
on my routine, how come in? How just taking all
the information then applied on the field, and really just
off season. My off season was different this year. I
really pushed myself to those points that I knew I
can get to.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
It seems like.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
That always been your.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Game, Yes, sir, d J. James always get gets around
the ball. He's always around the ball.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
DJ.

Speaker 8 (18:37):
When you came in the school, I remember seeing your
weighted and like one sixties, like one seventies.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Where are you at now?

Speaker 5 (18:45):
I made a good way. My coaches they confident in
how I playing and the way I'm at now.

Speaker 11 (18:50):
But we made a pretty good way. Right now, I'm good.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Sitting out.

Speaker 9 (18:59):
How is that advantage of increased.

Speaker 5 (19:02):
Opportunities just knowing that when those guys go down that
it's no drop off. Just taking advantage of the opportunities
that I get. I'm thankful those opportunities. I'm thankful that
my coaches gave me the opportunity to showcase myself and
my talents. And just going out there every day competing
with some great guys. It was a growing it was

(19:24):
growing pain for me. Just I sat back and learned
from some great guys. Jonathan Jones, Christin Gonzalez, Gunzo, those guys,
I just sat back watched.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Them, learn from them.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
Took a lot in from those guys your success.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Trying to.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Just making sure that I take it from the classroom
to the field. If we're working punt, just making sure
sure that I'm taking my gunner repts, my gunner steps,
and just looking over it after practice when it comes
to punt, punt retire, making sure I take my steps
as needed, a corner at that position, and just continue
to build off of it. Oh, daily daily daily coaching,

(20:12):
Coach Quinn, those guys, Coach Springer, those guys are on
me daily, So daily coaching.

Speaker 9 (20:21):
How would you describe.

Speaker 11 (20:24):
Instinctive, instinctive and sticky?

Speaker 2 (20:30):
How big are these.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Training camp opportunities just to yourself in that class.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Oh, it's very It's a huge opportunity for me just
to showcase to my coaching and also my teammates that
I'm somebody that they can count on when that time comes.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
It's equal.

Speaker 5 (20:53):
But we split off our work with coach Quinn as well.
He takes the gunners and we meet individually with him,
and I just go over my reps with him as well.
Like during the off season, I will go over my
steps with them, Like during the ot as when we're
just rapping gun or repts, I'll go and meet with them,
make sure my steps are right and just growing from that.

Speaker 9 (21:12):
Specialty.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
Oh, definitely, every aspect on the team is important to me.
If it's special teams, I'm ready to give one hundred
and fifty on special teams. If it's a corner, I'm
ready for that as well. Just I just want to
be a team player. Oh, it means a lot. It's
it means a whole lot to me, just that my
coaches trust me to go out there with the first

(21:36):
group and just showing up making players for my team.
Did Oh yeah, I'm a basketball fan there today. I
didn't see him you didn't your head coach in the
South your day. No, I did not do.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
That's one thing most people don't know about your DJ.
Give us anything random.

Speaker 11 (21:59):
I were size shoot, no, no hitting tap, Thank you
appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
Good are y'all? How guard there.

Speaker 10 (22:15):
Pretty much feels like that's pile.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
I actually like guard a lot. Uh. It's different, and
different is always fun for me. So I'm just learning
new stuff every day, and it's really fun. It's really
really fun. Yeah. I like hitting people and that tackle.
You got to think a little more. At guard. You
can kind of fire off and get your face and
stuff more.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
The staff and what do they tell you?

Speaker 4 (22:44):
Just competing. They said they wanted to put me in
the best position to compete, and they thought that that
would be left guard. So just grinding. Yeah, I mean
I played guard sparingly in college. Uh, East West Shrine Bowl,
I played guard. Yeah, high school, I was ranked that guard. Yeah.

(23:10):
I mean, I'm I do what they tell me to do.
They if they asked me to play quarterback tomorrow, I'm
back there with Drake. So I never asked for one.
I just did what they told me to do, and
I enjoy it too. So it's not really. You know
the film where.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
It's like, hey, maybe you can try this, or did
you just come into.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
A meeting one day and they said, uh, it was probably.
It was definitely on like a Saturday during ot AS,
Like right at the end of O t AS, I
just got a phone call and they wanted to talk
to me about it and I said sure, and then
they called me in talked about it. Hit the ground running.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Yeah that kind of help.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
Yeah, yeah, I'd say definitely. Yeah. I mean Trout was
big on us working both sides of the line and
both positions. If you're a tackle, you play guard, if
your guard you play center. So that preparation was really
important for me.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Brand culturetations of wondering, how is.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
That going to help you in your set? Yeah, I
mean I just think the standards are super high here
and it's your responsibility every day to step up to
the standard and perform. And that's the best work environment ever.
So Yeah, I love Doug. I mean, Doug's awesome. He's
he's super no bullet like, he just goes after it

(24:39):
and you get great You get really great corrections from him.
He's not sugarcoating anything. He's telling you exactly what he wants.
So I love that. I wouldn't even say stats wise,
It's really just a mentality we have in the offensive room,

(25:00):
putting a hat on the hat, getting vertical through the
line on runs and protecting inside out and pass, you know,
for help you have a question about man. Uh, Garrett Bradberry,
that's my dude. Cole's awesome, Jared's great, big mo. I

(25:21):
mean really, all of us, we're We're really fluid with
each other. Yeah, so what did you see from him?
I mean, Jared's a great athlete and he plays all
three in the middle, so he knows everything. Any questions
that I have Since I am a little newer at guard,
I really go to him and Garrett. I asked Cole

(25:42):
a lot too. But Jared's really really fucking good, so uh,
I love asking him questions. He always has like a
different perspective than the bat guys would. Yeah, Jared, I
mean just I mean fort rookie, he's just really good.
Like he way he moves, the way he protects in

(26:02):
the past game, and the way he gets off the
ball in the run game is admirable. Yeah. Oh yeah,
he's smart, you know, coming in as a rookie knowing
all three interior positions. It's pretty impressive.

Speaker 8 (26:20):
You obviously making a transition to guard, it is a
little different in the sense that you're not right, how
do you feel yours?

Speaker 4 (26:33):
What like it? Legitimately? Whatever practice today is add two
to that. And that's how long I've been playing guard.
I played the last two of O. T A's and
all of camp, so it really is little stuff every
day that I'm picking up on. The lateral movement stuff
did get me earlier on and also just the quickness
of stuff like when I'm at tackle, I set, you know,
three four times, I'm not even touching the dude yet.

(26:54):
At guard you're taking a set and you may get
your foot down before the dudes there. So little stuff
like that with the timing is been the things I've
focused on the most. Change No, not yet, I've stayed
around the same weight, you know, same same stuff like that. Yeah,

(27:16):
all okay, cool, Thank you guys, appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Hello, good Mike, how are you?

Speaker 4 (27:26):
Good?

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Job with seven practices? Yea, so far, so good.

Speaker 7 (27:35):
Still, you know, we're assessing some things that I've worked
on from O. T a s into that little break
we had and but it's good. It's been a steady
like progress, So I feel good. Obviously making some some strides,
but we're just trying to get better every day. I want,
you know, next time I kick to be better than
last time. So yeah, it's been good thought. Yeah, No,

(28:02):
Julian works really hard.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
You know.

Speaker 7 (28:06):
It's an contribute to just him as a player. You know,
we're doing a bunch of drills with them. Obviously, the
transition from college to the NFL is a lot different
for long snappers.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
But he's he's working his.

Speaker 7 (28:19):
Butt off and he cares a lot about the details
and he's he's a grinder man.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
He's doing well. He's doing on.

Speaker 9 (28:25):
Proud of him so far, so hopefully we can keep growing.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Yeah, how different. It feels good.

Speaker 7 (28:33):
It feels weird a little bit, just because I'm still
learning so much to just going into year three.

Speaker 9 (28:38):
But I just try and be a resource for them.

Speaker 7 (28:41):
You know, I've seen some football, some situations. I haven't
seen it all. I don't know if I ever will,
but who has or who hasn't, you know what I mean?
So but no, it feels good just to you know,
be a guy that if they need something, they can
come to and you know, try and just like I said,
just be there for me a good vet and yeah,

(29:02):
but also just stay focused on a common goal. Just
be good specialists, be good at what we do and
it it'll be good. In it was getting really scratchy
over here, like not scratchy, but patchy nasty.

Speaker 9 (29:16):
My wife she had to look bad, so I shaved it.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (29:26):
Well it's I wouldn't say I'm approaching it differently per se,
but I mean I've always kind of had the same
mindset of I never want to waste opportunities or I
just want to keep growing. I want to be better
than I was, you know the last time I kicked.

(29:47):
But I also kind of just started piecing it together,
like every rep in practice is like a rep of
its own. I take it, I do it, go in
the in the rear view, I'm looking forward. But it's
been good. I I mean, the mindset doesn't really change,
I think more so the process might.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
In a way. My mindset will probably be my mindset
for a long time.

Speaker 7 (30:11):
But the process and how I do things, taking care
of my bodies or my body, my warm up, all
that stuff could change and differ. But things are good things.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Are good.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
I'm happy.

Speaker 11 (30:23):
A lot of guys.

Speaker 7 (30:27):
YEA, M M. Yeah. I think the relationship is really solid.
You know, I think I made a good jump from
my rookie year to my second year. You know, they

(30:49):
helped me a lot with just the mindset and a
lot of what I do.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Like I'm saying, I'm treating a lot.

Speaker 7 (30:55):
Of it, like each practice rep is just like a
singular game rep where I kind of just shut it
down and then I turn it back on and almost
like I'm just blinking in it.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
We're back.

Speaker 7 (31:05):
And a lot of that's a testament to TQ and
both to Spring as well. TQ seen a lot of
football and that's helped me a ton, just learning different
kinds of punts, you know, different situations, all that stuff.
And then Springer's energy is unmatched. He gets the fellows
going and we can all feed off of his energy
and go make plays, which is fun.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Yeah kind of impact. Uh, it's everything. I mean, you can.

Speaker 7 (31:37):
I mean our goal is to just block longer than
he has the ball in his hands.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
And if we do that, he can. He knew anything
with the football.

Speaker 7 (31:45):
He's elusive, he's shifty, he's talented, and he can be
a game changer.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
So how big of a day is Friday for you guys?
We always heard that's the big special teams practice and.

Speaker 9 (31:57):
Things like that, especially for the field over New ka
Is how big is that?

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Yeah? I think we'll have to see.

Speaker 9 (32:04):
And that's where I can be a resource play.

Speaker 7 (32:06):
I've played in here for two years now, so I
can kind of help with like I kind of have
my sight lines in a way. Obviously that could change,
but for them, just helping them understand, you know, the
certain patterns we can get on game day.

Speaker 9 (32:19):
And the hard part is is nowadays really ever the.

Speaker 7 (32:21):
Same in there, but just getting them getting their feet
wet in terms of just understanding.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
You know, we practice a lot on grass. We'll go
in there. We're being on turf.

Speaker 7 (32:31):
There's just little small differences, but it'll be a good one.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
Excited, you're good. Take it, You're good.

Speaker 9 (32:39):
What you got?

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Yeah? Yeah.

Speaker 9 (32:45):
So this is one mission and it's for kids fighting cancer.

Speaker 7 (32:49):
My wife is doing a charity boxing match on October
ninth at MGM and Fenway. She's supporting one mission. It's
called Haymakers for Hope.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
You know, it was really cool.

Speaker 7 (33:01):
She we went to the men's event with a with
a friend of ours and something about it just it
was like a calling for her to go and do.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
And she's been grinding for.

Speaker 9 (33:11):
Shoot almost a month and some change on a.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
Month and a half.

Speaker 7 (33:15):
She's sparn for two hours three times a week, you know,
And I can't be more proud of what she's doing.
We're trying to raise money for one mission and she's
just been doing such a good job. And I'm proud
of her for finding something that she's passionate about. She
was a pole vaulter in college back at MSU, so
she's had that, you know, that athletic background, and now

(33:37):
she can find something she's super passionate about again.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
So yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
About mm hmm, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (33:52):
I think a lot of it's just spending time with
one another, reps, watching film together, kind of seeing, you know,
like what helps him in terms of you know, where
I'm standing on on punt. You know it might be
a little wide, you know that. In that essence, if
that makes sense, Field goals, it's all about reps finding

(34:12):
where his laces are for me to catch him. I
don't want him doing anything different. What I'll change is
the depth in which I catch the ball and that's
kind of how we find laces. So just getting all
those reps with him has been really beneficial for for
not just me, but I think for both of us
and eventually the unit. Hey, guys, appreciate it. Guys, thanks
you
