Speaker 1 (00:00):
Huh.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
You know, I love the kind of the nature of everybody.
Speaker 3 (00:04):
I feel like, you guys, he's to be bad it
the veterans, young guys starting to metch to need to
know Rod that broke the culture roads getherness obviously competing
home summer.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
So it was it was fun of co opet against
these guys.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
I mean, obviously for a lot of new books. We
got a lot of good football players.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
That's fun of my PE's very great impression of this offense.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Yeah, I mean a lot of like you know your
things for me.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
But also I mean anytime you get to be an
offense a game, it's like say, great, you know, just
trying to get things sees.
Speaker 5 (00:50):
How do you hear group next five week fish looking
mortan five week.
Speaker 6 (00:54):
For the office.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, I mean, obviously stay worried.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
You're a for sure on the communion, close fond little
details of the things.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
That you can get better at that you were able.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
To, you know, see that we're good and make some
things that this this time of year, and though two
men camp, you're like, like, go, I need a pond
to these things.
Speaker 7 (01:13):
So use.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
The tut you brought up the new stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
The goat down and goat Brown who brought into the
offense and what degree does this feeling like you've.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Been on the same system of your first year?
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Yeah, I mean, uh, I mean it's been a minute
something that Joshua skis hearing the Bourbons again, hearing some
different things. But it kind of like riding bike when
you start hearing things and doing things on the mic again,
it's like, you know, it comes back to you naturally,
but obviously adding a little bit flavor from different offenses.
It's been refreshing and excited to kind of feel.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
How would you, i mean without personnel or plays, but
describe that new flavor like it is it stuff you've
already seen or.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Played in before or yeah, yeah, I mean everybody run
similar concepts.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
I mean, it is what it is.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
It's just how you scheme of up maybe like players,
you know, different formations.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
All that kind of stuff. So everybody kind of runs
the similars. It's just kind of how you call it,
how you donate it. People rock with the really great
just a general assignments.
Speaker 6 (02:17):
Know we're supposed to be we're supposed to feel like
a chimp stage. I'm sure you have a long way
to goose out. Yeah, it's essentially you guys are figuring it.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Out for me.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yeah, I mean it's good man.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Uh, there's a good mix up like some bets and
and young guys and so we're you know, we're trying
to trying to blend out the right way. I mean,
it's gonna only get closer throughout trying to pin into
those hard days.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Uh, umber's gonna be good days. We're gonna be bad days.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
That's why you know you gotta luck on your compete
and can get better because I mean they're gonna challenge
you every day.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
When I challenge them, you gotta love the back. I
just last a bun of defensive.
Speaker 8 (02:50):
Looks like they're resting today, exploding trying to tie the snaps.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Just moll as the challenge.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Yeah, I mean, you know, we worked on a little
bit of noise today obviously, Al Hayens. You know it's
a new You gotta bunch your guys up front, watching
your guys on offense and just trying to tap things up.
All gonna contender to get.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Better than that.
Speaker 9 (03:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Sure, Drake talked yesterday free snappers.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
You know spring Field, he's.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Coming out of the huddle, just the field coming together in.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
He's doing fravers, he's doing break Uh.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
You know, it's a lot, there's a lot of demanding
things on him in order by position.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
But he's he's taking a head on.
Speaker 10 (03:28):
You.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
He asked the questions.
Speaker 11 (03:30):
He's working on this technique, and so that's the thing
that you want to see versus guys kind of getting
down on themselves and kind of like questioning where they want.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
To be here. At the end of the day, you
got to rely on the work they got you.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
And I feel like that's what he's going looks like
you're spending more time on the aps and you having
the previous season.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
I remember last year like spring or summer last year
you mentioned that was nearly focus in the movie. He
flashed like.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
All these different moves. So now what's the next thing
that you're sitting here as this consistency and just and
just having confidence. I feel that we have really good
guys on the inside. You can get off to the
past even.
Speaker 11 (04:01):
Though every down situations, and so that changes things that
I can do a little bit. It can be a
little bit less conservative progressing like coach tell me steps
and things like that. I haven't traditionally heard.
Speaker 6 (04:19):
So like just that next step of having that coach behind.
Speaker 12 (04:23):
Me and experience, and how helpful with those early periods
because I see, like you, Harold and all the kind
of veteran guys work in your moods.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
How helpful is it to be able to get those
in before you get.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
It's pretty good.
Speaker 11 (04:33):
So it's helpful for me because it slows it down
for me a little bit and it trains me, Like
he's he's doing a good job to saying like, this
is what you need to think of, this is your
thought process. And that's all times I don't think I
have you know what I was missing?
Speaker 12 (04:48):
So didn't feel like you were maybe going on prior
experience or maybe when you're just like overthinking or how
exactly myself?
Speaker 2 (04:54):
And then I feel like I have a coach?
Speaker 6 (04:57):
So what that what has like the.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Rabel school, he's a hard said, he's one of those guys.
Speaker 11 (05:07):
He's not afraid to get his hands dirty, so he'll
come out, put the pads on, let you go through
the defensive nine jil as well.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
So you got a guy at the top ready to
get in the trenches with you, and that makes you
respect him.
Speaker 6 (05:19):
How much do you feel like that's kind of like this.
Speaker 11 (05:23):
You don't know so we've been in passing camp for
the past couple of weeks. You don't know where we
are and to put pads on and actually have to
play run.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Play past to put it all together.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
What that do you make for your happenings coming out
of mine camp?
Speaker 11 (05:38):
You I'm building, So every day I'm working to get
better and that's just the round I'm trying to take, just.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
To improve my game every single that thing.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
You Yeah, you feel something growth though?
Speaker 10 (05:48):
Where?
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (05:49):
So, like I said, every day I try to get
better song K. Growth is going to accumulate over there
and that's what I try to just up my life.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Taylor.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
How you spending the next five weeks training?
Speaker 11 (06:00):
So this is a part of the year where I
really take my time, get my diet right, bet better,
train harder, work on my technique and things like that.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Would have to be the best shape possible going into camp.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
Wow, what the what is the mindset of this group?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Aggressiveness?
Speaker 11 (06:16):
Attach, So just dominate the person across and really such
you're telling them the established your dominance.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
And impose your will on the man of product.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
Is that that has that message kind of are you
taking root right now?
Speaker 11 (06:29):
That's my message so that I feel like I don't
really talk a lot, and so you just lead by example.
And I don't really like to get into the leader
world or role or say that, because we all are
growing man at the end of the day, but just
more so, just do your work and other people who
are going to either rise to that or fall fall
And that's how I feel.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Oh, I know last year was last year, but is
there a different tone or vibe already that you can
feel within the team.
Speaker 11 (06:58):
Again, you really don't know what's until it really gets real,
and everybody can be good and kumbaya in the.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
First couple of weeks of your career, but we don't
know what we have until we get on the.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Field and really play and show and showing everybody else.
Speaker 9 (07:14):
What do you think about the personality of young players
you have in your room? For example, the new guys
just generally, do do you like the approach, the attitude?
Speaker 4 (07:25):
I don't really like nobody.
Speaker 6 (07:27):
So they're cool, Like.
Speaker 11 (07:32):
They're young guys coming in ready to work, They're listening,
they are working on their technique, They're improving every single day.
They're better today than when they first got here, because
it's a hard jump. We all went through it our area.
You rookie season is not easy to grasp all the concepts,
the formations of the office is doing. You really have
to know football like a professional and an expert at
(07:54):
your craft, and they're doing a really good job of picking.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
It all up.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
I'm sorry, you know, I got doing with a real
views just to see, uh christ much start with?
Speaker 4 (08:04):
I an't you good?
Speaker 6 (08:06):
Uh, it's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
It's obviously been a process known as seven months or Saturday,
so it's a nice little uh seven month reunion.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
I feel break been out here and runing over the boys,
but been definitely a project. But you know what I'm saying,
sort of back and then I wanted to make a
little bites, you know, make you move.
Speaker 13 (08:25):
You speaking of that you knows both the video and
pop lock people curious just that stuff about.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
Specifically man you got But.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Obviously I wanted to ask, can't do with you guys
as possible? I see, I kind of like having people,
well uh period.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Talking about my personal life with people I don't know personally.
I'm pretty sure everybody here many within and I great people.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
But you know what I'm saying, uh, kind of came
my person, my personal personal.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
I had a conversation with great but obvious stuff from you.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Don't echo everything that he said, you tell me, you
know from everybody making fitness said a nice kind of
conversation with people to have.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Him as well.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
So everything else, everything else, how in particularly all your turning.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Understanding that kind of coming to one our staffs.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Where's going to that?
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Obviously it's a conversation you know that's happening in the
internally as I can't have too much of a conversation.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
With about it.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
But uha, ten years you can format your question many
different ways.
Speaker 8 (09:20):
You know.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I'm obviously ask the same way so much to have
one to did you know who's being reported?
Speaker 4 (09:27):
Once again, you can format the question in a different ways.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Understand, I've been doing this.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
For ten years.
Speaker 9 (09:32):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Conversation that I have with break Obviously it's gonna be
hand of internal. You're saying in housing you regret it happened,
but you asking you again? I would hate to repeat
myself again. I just when I saw you after this year, what.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Thinks every said today?
Speaker 4 (09:50):
What did you learn from it? How do you move
forward with.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Obviously, Uh, I don't want to do bud, but I would.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
Hate to repeat myself. What a four up time?
Speaker 1 (09:59):
But move here myself again say the same thing again.
I mean, I'm I'm trying to be as ProLife as spots.
But how important is it to be here a hundred percent?
I mean anything football related. I would love that answer questions.
But I was happy to be here. I woud happy
to be back to work, you know, seeing the guys
being around the guys, football, the league team, anything I
care about it really self keeping the main thing.
Speaker 6 (10:19):
A great question.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
This is good. Let's see how I know.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Obviously I'm grinding each and every day to Obviously I
can't do too much of the teams from but I'm
eager to get out there, so whenever they do press
the button, I'm gonna be ready.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
I'm grinding.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, I'm confident. I kind of like to my rehab
pretty serious.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
So in the beginning phases I was.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
I wasn't as confident, but I was trying it out.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
But good thing I was away from everybody.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
But when I came back here, obviously was in the
mindset up and was trying to get after and get
put them.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
But you know they Uh, I was kind like a.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Dog on the leafs, like when I was bringing back
a little especially because I want to go, but it's
the time and of everything and I'm.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
Looking forward to training.
Speaker 6 (11:04):
But it's definitely statistical.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
I haven't had it yet. You know, you had something
like it, so maybe I have maaster. But it's kind
of up to them. I kind of plain about some
of the money in your field tied into money.
Speaker 14 (11:19):
I got.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
The checkpoints you want to check off as far as
where you are with it and getting ready where you
think you later.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
It's kind of weird because every off season I've trained,
you know, day in and day out is a different
so recovery process and nothing like.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
That kind of played the find of my recovery just
every year trying and training. Where I am right now,
would I say I want to really put a percentage
on it.
Speaker 8 (11:45):
But I got some more.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Help.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
We got a lot of young guys. Obviously last year
if a injury kind of played of porting in. Some
of the younger guys, I think they're a hell of
a hello players like athlete wise make him play wise.
They got a lot of potential, So you know, it's
crazy being around and they ask a lot of questions
and I try to help them as much back can, as.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Far as I just doing my part. I've been in
the league for a while, Like when I say ten years,
it's ten years of actually just grown and the playing
well and you know, kind of like just trying to
do my things. So I'm trying to like just passing through.
Those guys got a lot of potential, but I think
it's more like just staying healthy. You know, the that's
ability of the hell ability for.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Them saying I'm screaming that to myself as well, cause
I got a little.
Speaker 10 (12:37):
Bang of that, seem spending a lot of time with
the she spend a lot of time with high new
offense Black today as Rember over the year on you
you know, question your block when Josh home life, how
was it growing? Is immersing yourself in new offense and
getting solid on the U watses.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Well, it's different.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
I mean obviously, only reason you see me in the
vacuants I I can't pay, I can't I can't play
outside my friends.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
So h that's why you see me in the back.
Speaker 6 (13:03):
Yeah, trying to get a visit.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Yeah, I'm just trying to get in. I can't leave you.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
I can't run around, but I can also take mental
reps and I can have what I'm thinking about.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
If I got a question about around it.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
You don't know the play I want to hear, you know,
just just hearing it as much as I can. I
think it'll be good for me and spending a lot
of time here. That's why I look forward to training
training camps when you put the cuts in the metal.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
But I'm gonna do a lot a lot of homework
prior to getting the I like you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
I just I can't say too much because I haven't
been out there much. But as far as like personality,
as he a dog, you can tell he's a dog
from the big goal. I can see he's committed to
the process. He wants to play well. I know he's
been here off spring, so just see him out there
and when I get back, he's he's.
Speaker 4 (13:47):
Been really helpful too.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Like you know, you know, I haven't been here as much.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
I've been trying to get right.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
I've just been trying to get right mentally and physical,
as far as like being in the right space on
my body to be in the right space. So when
it's time to go, I'm right there for offense.
Speaker 7 (14:00):
Similarities to what you did with Frank Gable, A lot
of a lot of a lot of similarities, you know,
the intricacies of it is definitely a different They might
cast some of the different or have a different name,
but I always say these are the same A bounts
I've been with.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
What types of things do you do to try and
like get right mental?
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Yeah, uh, spend some time by myself, you know, a
lot of meditation, like some time a web, sometime my family.
You know, I kind of like looking as like recharging.
You know, the past weekend I had a camp outs.
I would have my daughter at my camper. That was
kind of fun, just you know, family kind of re
charging and spending myself again and spend a little time
at the.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Game standpoint, Yeah, special only what will the next five
weeks to do you?
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Like, for you, what do you need to do? What
do you wanta do to get ready for they want
to train?
Speaker 2 (14:42):
It's probably more the mental portion of my life is
pretty much in a good space.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
I'm'a teen that right, and obviously, but you wanna be
first going in the training camp. I wanna be in shape,
and I wanna know the book spend a lot of
time on the education as part about like hearing it,
seeing it, running around, uh consistently and that kind of
sof about I'm gonna do a lot of traveling too.
Speaker 14 (15:02):
So I.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Described the experienced he wants playing for Mike Rabel.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
Yeah, your relationship with him, Yeah, he's like a he's
like a.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
Can say he was like a player, Like obviously he
wants to.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Take care of you. But he's committed to the run.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
And I can tell he was a party like championship team,
you know what.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
It looks like he knows the DNA looks like.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
About But I'm a huge fan of him.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
I can't read the pat phone. He got that.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
He got that age that you.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Can if you want to run, run to a walk.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
So he's probably miss quote, but he's a I look
forward to it. I feel like meet him kind of
go back and forth with flights and I'm not your participating.
Speaker 6 (15:43):
Can you bring to the the fact that you want
to fi problems? At one point this French guys.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
Best guy.
Speaker 6 (15:52):
I don't think just this guys who pack brook and brush,
we carry not too.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Much, I said think keep it in the background mine,
but it was it was so long ago, so I
forgive me, but it was so long ago.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
That I really think about it.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Life right now, I kind of be with my feet
from right now. I got some young kids with me.
They got a lot of potential. I want to play well,
I want to heal up, and I don't want to
have a good season. So just trying to take a
day by day.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
I trying to have to rush.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
But the past is the past, you know.
Speaker 4 (16:22):
I hate him kidding.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
They're good guy, uh and they and they listen. The
biggest thing is they listen. I feel like maybe last
year they didn't have a lot of older guys in
the rooms, veterans and the wrestling. I don't know, but
I feel like they.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Respect me, and that's the biggest thing. I want to
earn and respect of my teams first, of my coaches.
And that's how you leave what I'm saying, you leave
from the front. I already respected you of the players.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Alongside of it.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
So the fact that they respect me, they see I'm
not here grinding and I'm supposed to be hurt, but I.
Speaker 13 (16:47):
Feel I still feel like you can be in up
for one guy, you for myself, yeah, or for my
right your team und it was a.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Sort of there like the walking for so you wouldn't
maybe get some contact love. What do you What do
you say to him? What does he he says, I'm sorry,
but now we just be talking smack any times you
make sure I'm I'm learning to play though I'm doing
the right spot at the right time.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
But he's always in coaching more even if he's that,
you know, those jokes always got some truth to him.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
Question that's you know what that's moving? Or why I
receive ro I'm sorry, Yes, dance moves, oh yeah, probably
little Pop he's a dancing mixture. Last one, Mike.
Speaker 15 (17:44):
A lot of people don't think much of this flection
of the s. Do you think you guys surprise.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
No, I will hope that everybody or think that terrible.
We lined the radar be hot in the buchet kind
of too a note of just like we see what
that was drafting and the pair crown.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
You know they surprised people when they surprised you, but.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
We going to each and every day worked extremely hard,
you know, or earn everything that you did.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
You kind of want to line line the person you
kind of want to go under the radar because you know,
obviously your standardship be the highest USA. You just unaccountable
lege up to the highest standard. So I don't really
get into all that him saying, do not thinking much
of me? I'm used, So I got the big shoulders,
but I'll passing them.
Speaker 11 (18:30):
I have a complaining. What's the most important if you
focus on get accomplished over the next five weeks.
Speaker 14 (18:36):
Before the starting get out the rookies, we're still gonna
be here, be work and we don't go home, uh
and until a couple of weeks, so it's really getting
better and everything will coming back. And being a better
player than I am today, it's the biggest thing I
can do, you know, help the.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Scene before which has been like going up against him,
like it's been great.
Speaker 14 (18:56):
Not only Keon k C, Harold, Milt Christian, you know,
those are.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
All guys that played a lot of ball in the NFL.
Speaker 14 (19:03):
So for me to be able to get that exposure,
you know in an Ota, it's pretty good. And you
know they've been you know, great teammates and then you know,
showing miss stuff or what they're looking for and things
like that.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
So it's been pretty cool. And they seems like you're
spending a lot of time for he Moses during after what.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Kind of impractic you would, no doubt.
Speaker 14 (19:25):
I think whenever you're a rookie at any position, you
look for a guy that you know you can come
in and it has done it the right way since
he's been in the league, proven himself, and that is
a great person that you can you know, latch onto
and you know he's just been you know, great to me,
not only need, but you know all the guys in
the room, and that goes for you know, guys like
Garrett and.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
Big Mike too.
Speaker 14 (19:47):
You know, we have a lot of guys who have
played a lot of football in our room and they've
been very good to the young guys, even the guys
that are in their second year, just you know, helping
them in any way they can, just giving us any
fits in of advice that they can.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
So it's been really good.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Oh just what do you think has been the biggest
area grows from you since this started?
Speaker 16 (20:08):
Since he got here after the draft and like, how
much more comfortable do you feel now than he did? A?
Speaker 14 (20:13):
Yeah, I mean I think, you know, whenever you get
into a new place, so you know, it's a different
thing that I'm used to.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
So, you know, really just getting those reps, uh.
Speaker 14 (20:22):
Getting you know, the things under my belt, and just
did more experience, you know, day after day and uh,
you know, I can feel myself improving practice after practice.
You know that's the thing. I got to come out
and get better every day.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
And I felt like I've done away.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
Yeah, it's been great. Uh.
Speaker 14 (20:39):
I know I've said it before, but Coach Malone, you know,
he recruited me at Alabama. Uh, but you know we've
you know, not only him, but Coach Hoss and you know,
Coach Couch. We got a great group in the offensive
line and they've helped me and all the young guys
you know a lot, you know, learning, you know, the
new system that we're in, you know, the new techniques,
staying with us, you know whenever we need to. So
they they've offered been great.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
So along those lines would have been your initial impressions
of Josh McCanns.
Speaker 14 (21:02):
Oh, yeah, he's intense, but you know he's a O
line you know guy. Uh, you know I was able
to meet him on my thirty.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
Years of here.
Speaker 14 (21:10):
Uh, he's obviously you know, got a great resume and
you know, to be able to play.
Speaker 16 (21:13):
For around this arm just when you're not looking pats
obviously this time of year, just for yourself, what can
you accomplish in the terms of you know, working on
your technique and things like that, even without the pats,
you know everything, you.
Speaker 14 (21:25):
Know, you got to come out here, you know, treat
it as if it were a pad of practice. You know,
this is when the details matter the most, whenever you
can key him and those type of things. So I'd say,
you know, just coming out here every day and trying
to be intentional, uh, and you know, find two or
three things from the previous practice that I'm trying to
go on in the next.
Speaker 6 (21:45):
How much you feel like you've gotten applimented through the
fuck you both?
Speaker 14 (21:49):
Yeah, I mean I definitely you know have said, you
know it's you know, I've gotten more comfortable. Uh, you
know as the days have gone, you know, with the
you know playbook, you know, the scheme and things like that,
and it's only gonna keep getting better. Just you know,
like I said, I keep getting these reps and keep
getting all this stuff under my belt.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
It's something gonna holp.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
Him, Oh yeah, works in the next five weeks.
Speaker 14 (22:13):
I'm gonna be here for most of them.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
But you know, it's go away and enjoy.
Speaker 14 (22:16):
Some time with some family for a couple of days,
and then you know, if it's work out, you're ready
for training, because yeah, no doubt, I think. You know,
whenever you have a guy you know is that hands on,
it's a blessing them because you know he's in there physically.
(22:38):
You know, he comes out of practice sweat news as
much as be group. So you know, some coaches you know,
like you know, say you know this, that and the other.
He's in there doing it with us in every position,
group every single day. So it's not really cool to
have a coach like that that you know cares about it,
like everything as much.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
As he does. What's the biggest thing where like the
most important thing you have to learn from you know,
it's most.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
It's you know, he's just you know, giving me bits
and pieces in really all aspects.
Speaker 14 (23:05):
You know, there's some stuff you know guys do that
other people can't, so it's really learning you know what
you know you can do that they might do, or
some stuff like that you can't try everything that somebody
tells you because it might not work for as for them,
so you know, having that fine line. But you know
he's been great at playbook, scheme things, questions about his
(23:28):
past you know playing and you know, just really getting
to know him off the field too has been pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
And along with all the other things too.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Well, we've seen you matched up against several different guys
coming up.
Speaker 12 (23:38):
Is just what's the challenge been like working with a
different defensive players, different matchups and scheme mixing up.
Speaker 14 (23:44):
Yeah, no doubt I was, you know, just saying that
I've been able to, you know, go against you know,
all of our guys, ke On, Casey and Harold, you know,
mil Christian off the List, the Anthony, all of them,
and you know it's awesome for you know all of us,
but you know, especially a young player, so you know,
be able to get that exposure you know, in a
(24:05):
in a training car of Ota. You know, guys have
played a lot of football on Sunday. Uh, and you
know they've been really good for me, giving me bits
and pieces you know in the locker room after practice. Uh,
you know, just on what they're looking for and things
like that that can put me in a bund.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
So it's been really cool.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
They've been great teammates. So it's awesome how much I've.
Speaker 16 (24:25):
Been working on keeping inside leverage and drifting off the
past sets and things like that.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Yeah, I mean that's what we're told to do. That's
what my job is to.
Speaker 14 (24:35):
Uh, you know, it's something that I've worked on every
day since I've been here.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
And you keep getting over on if you.
Speaker 7 (24:39):
Got any times it's for the Boston area or if
you want to do anything like in the next five weeks.
Speaker 14 (24:45):
Uh, you know, coach for you and you know, as
to a Red Sox game. Uh, you know, all the rookies,
and you know, that was pretty cool being over there there.
You always hear about Fenway and stuff like that. So
being able to come up here before I got drafted
up here, the furthest East End or had ever done
was at plans. So being able to come up here
and you know we see different part of this puncture
(25:07):
and things like that, which I'm pretty good.
Speaker 8 (25:09):
Appreciate absolutely absolutely, you know, broke broke a lot of
it down. That's kind of you know, one of my
goals coming the next couple of weeks. We've got the
time off is just go through a bunch of seasons,
watch a bunch of games, see how they did it,
because it's pretty much same offensive, all the same stuff.
So to see how they did it and try to
go into my game. I just love the way they
(25:29):
get open first man, and obviously they feel lownes very well.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
I think that's very.
Speaker 8 (25:32):
Special, uh, with all of them, you know, seeing when
when they sit and when they run certain things like that.
But I mean in this league, especially coming to the FCS,
people were gonna say, uh, the man cover is gonna
be the biggest part of them getting open. So you know,
just seeing what they did and and take that.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Off.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Yeah, I think just sticking to in my process, waking up,
getting up early, doing the condition and doing nothing.
Speaker 8 (25:58):
Thinks trying to standing up, but making sure on still
kinding out here, running rounds is making sure he's still
a standing time.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Like I said, huge, So when I get back wrong,
he's been awesome, you know, getting to learn a buck
from from him. He's got so much knowledge. Uh, he's
I mean, it's crazy how long it's been the league.
Speaker 8 (26:19):
You don't realize it. He's got so much. He just
throws gems every every meeting. So it's pretty cool, pretty
specially to would a bunch of different technique stuff like
we also we talked a little football off of like
scheme and stuff like that. But man, he he, he
defeeds press very well, off covers very well. So just
(26:39):
doing that and how you use your hands versus certain
different things, I feel.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
Like Famos so beneficially.
Speaker 6 (26:46):
Offensive here.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
I mean, yeah, I love coach down and I think
tremendous amount of respect for him.
Speaker 8 (26:52):
He's super smart, always a challenging us to push push
each other, even to.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Young guys and the lead guys. You know, he doesn't
care who it is.
Speaker 8 (26:59):
He kind to elevate the room, trying to outlord the
expectation of the standout of the room.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
So it's been awesome to happen.
Speaker 6 (27:07):
Fifteen. He's gonna think.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Absolutely, I can agree for sure.
Speaker 8 (27:18):
I think you know, when you're in the meeting room
and he's breaking down it or he's looking at it
like a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Now we know what quarterbacks thinking.
Speaker 8 (27:25):
Instead of going and asking the quarterbacks like we're actually
getting a little bit of a little bit of the
best of all quills. So it's been awesome just kind
of hear what he has to say throughout different routes,
throughout different run schemes too, which was a lot because he's.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
Pointing this mic out and stuff like that.
Speaker 6 (27:38):
So I was gonna give.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Surprise the draft process going off, you know, I mean,
I think every kid screams to get drafted, but it
is what it is.
Speaker 8 (27:48):
I'm here now, you know, I got the opportunity, and
I'm just thankfully west for I can't look or I'm
looking forward to the opportunity. Motivation absolutely, I think there's
a bunch of little things taken from an FCS.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
School and I getting drafted that I'm always gonna bring
myself to motivation.
Speaker 6 (28:05):
But at the end of the day, like.
Speaker 8 (28:06):
I'm gonna keep coming back to, it's just opportunity. So
coach Able said that, you know, I don't care how
you got here.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
It's opportunity.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
You know, said, I think you've been pretty consistently. I'm
not getting consistent.
Speaker 14 (28:18):
Sad.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
What does that mean? What what does it mean to do?
Speaker 8 (28:22):
Yeah, I think it's too especially for me, Like if
I can line up run the right routes to get
over to catch the ball, I think it's gonna it's
still trusting the quarterbacks and still trusting super coach O
see everyone to where like, man, if I'm out there comfortable, and.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
I think it's besters myself too.
Speaker 8 (28:36):
Is all the work I'm putting in, It's uh, it's
starting to you know, I've been more commonated myself in
the offense and stuff like that.
Speaker 6 (28:43):
But Jews change of the fiction.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Definitely like other sports.
Speaker 8 (28:57):
I played baseball, basketball, so her all growing up the
best part of lacross. So we used to go in
the yard play a bunch of like catch and stuff,
and so I got to do a little bit of that.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
But I think he's doing a bunch of others.
Speaker 8 (29:08):
What's growing up has allowed me to be in the
position I'm in now and then just definitely honing in
on the.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Details of my practice hasn't also allowed me to get
in for I don't want to give you a tip
a label on your phone, because oh, for sure, and
you know, there's there's complex ones, there's simple ones. You know,
I got a bunch of different stacks. I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 8 (29:29):
So I got like formations plays, a bunch of different things.
But kind of it's always worked for me, and so
that's kind of the routine I sticked in. No, it's
it's just you know, I like to wake up in
the morning and do it, you know, so I can.
My mind's always ready to go. I always gotta with
me into my back so I'm always prepared and don't
need my phone to you know, look at the places
and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
Do you know everybody?
Speaker 4 (29:50):
You know?
Speaker 2 (29:50):
I try to know everything because anymore you know, the
more valuable.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
So I'm just trying trying to be thank you.
