Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, Joshua, how are you. I'm good? How are you?
I'm doing great?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Thanks for taking the time for us.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
I want to ask you just what's your reaction to
being picked by the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Its main, Man's what I dreamed of planning in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
I mean like once I got passed round two, everybody
knew I was projected to go in the first two rounds.
Or once I got passed to I just knew I
wanted to be at a great organization. It's a great feel,
you know, just a great, great fit for me and
coach Clinton. The defensive line there, the defensive line. Coach Clinton,
he coached me in college. He was my first offer

(00:39):
at Florida State. Honestly, mental just blessed my whole life.
I just had to come behind the sticks and I'm
just happy to be off the board. And I know
they got coach two there, well he did at Detroit
and how he got those guys going. And just happy
to be that man. Coach Rabel, you know, he's a
trench guy. So I got everything. I can imagine that
Boston is a perfect place to go and just focus.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
It's not Florida's just some place.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
You can go and just throw out and I'm just
ready to get there, you know, just take over, man,
to do my best and give them all to the team,
and you know, just trying to be the best for me.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
I care every day.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
And maybe I could just follow up with one more question.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
I see you're in the car. What has today been
like for you? And you know where are you?

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Honestly, love, I'm at the house. You know, I had
to drive party the first two days and a lot
of people came out, and you know, I got family here,
have more brothers and immediate family. If honestly, I didn't
even I didn't even want to, you know, do a party.
But my brothers and sisters, Man, they still happy. They
treat in life how I'm a top five pick and

(01:44):
I'm just thankful and I'm blessing honestly, man, I'm just
ready to get to work.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
It's been been great and I love what y'all got
going to New England, what we got going to New England.
And I'm just ready to get to work.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
I'm gonna go to the next question.

Speaker 6 (01:59):
Chris, Hey, Josh, congratulations, Just how would you describe yourself
as as a player and what should uh Patriots fans,
you know, expect that they're they're getting front from you
when you get started.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Oh, describe me is just a tough, relentless player.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Man, I'm just ready to give them all the You know,
they gonna get a tough defensive tackle or I'm not.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
No, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
I think it was probably seventeen defensive tackles took in
front of me.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Everybody in the world knows.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
That's that God, everybody in the world knows, that's not
how it's supposed to go over. I'm just ready to
get there and prove everybody wrong. And you know, just
it'll be the best of me every day. I'm just
That's all I can say. Man, I'm just blessed. And
God did this for a reason, and everything happens for
a reason, and I wouldn't want it to go any
other way.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
I'm blessed by.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
The next question Andrew Callahan.

Speaker 7 (02:53):
Hey Josh fora congratulations on being drafted and welcome to
New England. I'm curious how much contact did you have
with the Patriot It's in the pre draft process from
the Senior Bowlot.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Yeah, I went on a thirty visit there.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I loved it. I love Coach Rabel.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
I remember him my freshman year just coming to Florida
State and putting on the pad and letting them die
strike him. And I just like he's been catching my eye,
and every proday I've been to, I just remember seeing him.
He's a guy that wants to feel you out. And
I couldn't be more back for man. I got coach Rabel,
Coach t and Coach Clinton, Coach Clint was my first
off in high school. What other situation can I be?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
You know?

Speaker 4 (03:29):
And then Milton there when I got there, Minton shot
down for thirty minutes and talking like it's just god, man,
it's just like by the fact we show you, let
me show you this picture, man, Like it's just it's
just crazy.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
How got worked. I don't know what to say. Like
on secondly show.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
That he sat down to talk with me for at
least thirty minutes and it was just me and him
and we were just going over and he was a later
round guy, kind of like me.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
The third round and went around and.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
You know, he just sat down and talked to me.
So I just think no other visit I went on
was like that. And he's just a great guy.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Fantastic. Congrats again, thanks to the time.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Thank you, and we'll do two more questions here, starting
with Sean maguire.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
And Jasua Congratulations. You said I think at least twice
now you just mentioned how I felt like seventeen defensive
tackles were taken ahead of you. Is it safe to
say you're kind of coming to New England with on
your shoulder and you know what's that now?

Speaker 4 (04:38):
I was coming down with that anyways, but yeah, it
grew bigger and.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
I'm in the right situation.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Man May and mill and a Christian and you know
we got those, we got some dogs now, you know
it's not gonna be the same.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
You know, we bringing back the old New England. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
And last question again from Chris Ryan.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
Hey, Josh, just when you think of doing the Patriots, like,
what do you what do you think and what kind
of what kind of motivation do you have just obviously
be a part of this this franchise.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Well, I think New England, man, I think it's just
people that you know, you see a lot of guys
go to New England and they like to stay. There's
a reason people like to be there and like to
thrive there. And when they when it's time to be up,
they want to be there.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
So that's all.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
I look at New England, we will uh knowing the
other job picks, I think we're coming and we're gonna
change some things and Milton out the trail and we
got the you know, I just think it's gonna be.
We's finna bring back the old New England, you know.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Thank it. Congratulations again, sir, Thank y'all.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
