Speaker 1 (00:00):
Cleveland's defense.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
What do you guys see from them?

Speaker 3 (00:02):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (00:03):
Great, great team?

Speaker 4 (00:04):
Uh overall, you know, defensive wise, number one in yards,
number one in uh points a lot. But I mean, uh,
I think we could say they're a good team, but
I think they say the same about us.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
You know, uh, good offense, move the ball.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
So I think it'll be a good challenge for us
to go against a very great defense, and I think
it'll speak volumes for.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Us as the offense. Yeah, how get you with that
pass rushers?

Speaker 5 (00:25):
There's gonna be less time for you to get down
for work your best at.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
So how does your role, How does your preparation Shires
go into this week?

Speaker 4 (00:31):
Uh, you gotta uh running fishing rocks. You gotta get
off the ball fast. Like you said, we not beating
the coverage, were beating the pass rushers. Obviously one of
the better pass rushers in the league. And uh, Miles Garrett,
it's just being a step ahead and just helping Drake too.
So us just moving fast to help him get the
ball quicker. He don't really have too much time to
sit there and just look around.

Speaker 6 (00:51):
So I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the
short game.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
A lot of your passes so far.

Speaker 7 (00:57):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
I mean, I'm cool with the deep passes in order
to the yards add up with the deep passes, but
I mean, she just catch everything that's really thrown to
my job.

Speaker 6 (01:05):
So do you amazed at the doeld accuracy, guys?

Speaker 4 (01:11):
I mean yeah, I feel like he could really throw
the ball anywhere as we see every game, whether it's.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
To me, to Mac to Diggs.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
I think he do a good job of spreading the
ball everywhere I need to go. And I think as receivers,
you know we're gonna catch most of the passes that's
thrown to us. So just showing up him and being out,
I think that's big for him.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
Josh was just talking about the idea some of these
things that we call it end going forty yards down
the field. That's not really the intention of the play,
but because Drake seeing it a certain way and you
guys are running the routes full out, it's enabled that.
So how much is that about, like now, staying alive
at all times, knowing though this quarterback isn't just gonna
throw the four yard checkdown.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
If that's.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
About that, I think we got a little idea of
the coverage coming off of the ball. But I mean,
I think depending on where route we run, we gotta
look for a guy headed in the direction we going.
But I think as far as the quarterback is his
job to know the coverage and what he gotta go
with the ball. So, like I said, go back to
trust just uh, trust him that we gonna be where
we need to be whenever this time. Find them all

(02:13):
a lot of these deep passes and track it.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
How would you gotten good at that over the course.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Of the hum Maybe something goes back a long time now,
But if you always been a good tracker of.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Football, I think I think I always have been a
good track of the football. I would say before my surgery,
I was always able to go up.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
And high point the ball.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
But I think now with uh the two plates six
screws in my right ankle, nah, I'm limited as to
how how I could jump. So I think just being
able to track.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
The ball is really big for me.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
So I feel like I'm a hundred percent when it
comes to tracking the ball. So I'm confident in my hands,
so I'll really catch it out in front of me
and not really to my chest.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
So you ever okielder or anything.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Base nah uh huh nah nah, football and track yeah, kitchen.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
What does Mac call and spring to your receiver room?

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
I think I think one thing by Mac.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
He is our own person, you know, like we all
know the no shoes thing. But think it's cool to
have a vetting the room. Aside from stuff. You got
two vets that do things totally different. But at the
end of the day, I think it's good to hear
they inputs on what they think is best and rock running.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
So think it's big to have both of them. How
are they different?

Speaker 4 (03:23):
I would say, you know, Mac a more physical receiver.
He get more involved in the run game too, so
I would say when talking to Mac, we can talk
about the run and the past. You know, digs a
little smaller, So mostly with him.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
It's really rock running. But I think as far as
rock running, he can really tell you anything you need enough. Okay, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (03:40):
Took about reading the coverage post snap.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
How much film and study goes into that.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
I wouldn't really say film study go into reading coverages
post snap. I think good defenses disguise the rotation late
at the beginning of the snap, so I think just
snowing whether it's split safety, and you gotta go up
the middle or post safety and got to go across
the field. So I think just kind of seeing the
shell helps us know how to run our.

Speaker 7 (04:07):
Rights, uh, you know what we could do on the field,
so that ultimately gives us confidence.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
We've been winning, so you got to keep it.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Going, guys four and on the road, coming off three
straight back to back to back.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Establishing that home field and how do you go about that?

Speaker 7 (04:25):
That's very important. Uh, you know, we got to defend
our house at the end of the day. But just
going out there playing our best game and you know,
getting a win at home is.

Speaker 6 (04:34):
The performers the ring games, is that type of thing
carry over that momentum.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
I mean, it's a clean slay every week.

Speaker 7 (04:40):
We got to put the work in, you know, throughout
the week during practice, Uh, you.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Know, to get those results. So put our best foot
for it.

Speaker 7 (04:46):
Today got passed on, so let's get to it.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Defenses maybe have to play him a little bit differently
than things up for you guys running.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
Yeah, I mean, of course, uh, you know they're going
to be depending the past.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Now.

Speaker 7 (05:04):
I feel like, uh, you know, Jake's been doing you know.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
His job very well. At a high level, so they got.

Speaker 7 (05:09):
To defend him, so it should open up, you know,
some more run lines for us.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
A bunch of saw that play early in the last game.
You came by the sideline and Mike was telling you
on the sideline he just keep it. Is it cool
to have a coach like that's the minute details, even
though he has a whole game plan to be thinking about,
he's thinking about.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Uh yeah.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
I mean I think everybody's thinking about that ball security.
So uh yeah, just having them, you know, remind me
of things like that. You know, I love it, and
you know, just keep it on my mind a little bit.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
As he got better at it, balancing it mentally, not
thinking about it.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Should go about your business.

Speaker 7 (05:43):
I mean, I'll just go out there and play my
game and you know, try to secure the ball. But
I don't know, I feel like I'm doing a better
job at it. Uh But I gotta be consistent with
it now.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Stuff like that. So we do stuff for that in practice.
We practice, and I think we'll get that, We'll get
the hand, we'll get it figured out. You had your
first defensive touchdown is a prove This past week, Sure,
Caleb was disappointed he didn't have a dance or anything
like that.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Would you have a dance? You approve of your suggestions.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
He needs he needs to get it, Selly, he need
to get it. Selly's's gotta get up. I think Shelley's
got the selling I call it Selly's. Sell's got to
get up amongst the whole unit. I think we got
to start doing some you know, coordinated in. I mean
we'll figure out something, you know, uh, something not be cool,
something that'd be fine. It just helps the moment, you know,

(06:35):
also some fun thing to do. You know, you're celebrated
with your teammates after they played like that.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
So yeah, how good was that to see? That was
super good?

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Man?

Speaker 1 (06:42):
I was turned. I mean, honestly, you know that's a
big deal. Man. So I'm happy for him, man, happy
last one for me. Just the opponent, the street, Gabriel,
Junkins company, Judy. They got a good cast man, I
respect everybody. Man cut it back. They got a good
thing going with him right now.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Jackins obviously running back runs hard shot running and you
got the tight end fan.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
And he's good, you know, younger guy, but good.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
You know they're doing what pretty well they had a
big one last week, so yeah, you know, we gotta
prepare for them. Should everybody the same man out there?
Excude get it up.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
Jack was saying, with some of the slow starts, sometimes
it just takes a big play to get you guys going.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
How do you ensure that you trying to get the
big players you got?

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Let the players come to you. I mean like you
can't go forcing the player. I mean I feel like
if you go force a play, that's when you just start.
You give up a big play sometimes unless you see it.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
You know what I'm saying. It all depends. But you
got to make plays within the scheme. That's the biggest thing,
you know.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
So plays come if you're doing your You're doing your technique,
your fundamentals right, you know, you see it, Okay, execute boom.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
I'm gonna make the player, trust myself. But just going
out the way to make the play, you gotta you.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Can't really do that unless you know for sure, you know,
but I think you know, players do help place, help
the team get sparked. Their plays out the momentum. You know,
if somebody makes it play, then that makes somebody else
on the defense.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
When to make a play. I know it makes me
want to make her play. So yeah, back at home
this week. Just how excited the man I love home.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Back at the house. You know, we got to protect
the house. You know, it's a big deal. You know,
you know, we just gotta keep the chain ruling. That's it, perpot.
Thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Thanks.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
You know, we want to lose it depending on what
we do up front on the defensive line.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
I feel like we we had that much control.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Over the game of being able to penetrate, you know,
cause havoc on opponent offenses. But yeah, man, just being physical,
being where you're supposed to be, getting hands on people.
You know, we're saying a good back this week. Just
being in your gap, staying sound, not peeking around blocks.
Just it's all fundamental football. But being physical and fast

(08:54):
and just being there for each other.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
You seem to have a knack of finishing, you know,
especially late in the game like big sack, big play,
exact comes from within you.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Man, just always always want the opportunity to be the uh,
to be a closer and UH to be the guy that.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
But they looking for in those moments, you know, to
come through.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Nah, I probably myself on being able to just work
hard and always finish everything. So I try to I
try to practice, do it in practice, and and then
uh and then uh.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Lead to the game.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
How about you guys looking forward to just getting back home,
playing in front of these fans and hopefully start to stab.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Some wins in this.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Oh yeah, nah, we gotta we definitely gotta pro take home.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
We definitely gotta take home.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
I know we've been talking about road Warriors, and that's
always cool to go in somebody else, you know, lead
a stadium when it's quiet, be pissed off. But now
just give our fans something to cheer for. Uh Ill,
they've been watching us, you know, take care of business
on the road.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Let's do it. Let's do it at home. Man, she
got how out and get Caleb? I at the first
defensive touchdown he got, He said, Dan.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
So br you a lot because celebration Nah, cause I
still ain't got no celebration. So I can't even I
can't even fault him because I wouldn't know what to
do either. I would have probably got fine for throwing
a ball in the stands or something. Nah, But I
mean no, he in case he been been playing his
butt off. You know, we're just like I said, just
getting a chemistry with each other in practice and then

(10:19):
in the game, you know, working with each other on
games and just being on the same page.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Just it help our entire front, not from me five
to seven season games and sixty you guys drive, how
do you? How do you fix that?

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Man?

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Just come out, start fast, Come out starting fast, Like
I said, just being where you're supposed to be. Obviously,
you know I always talk about like the first fifteen
players their first script, so obviously team see what what
it's working against us on the first drive, and they
all coming out trying to do the same thing. Uh,
Eventually we gotta come out and just start earlier, start faster,

(10:57):
cause once we get our feeding the ground and get going,
you see what we've been able to do the past
couple of weeks, usually gotta start sooner, Yeah,
