Speaker 1 (00:00):
How y'all doing doing well? Doing well? Say that one
time the hair is holding up nice.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
It gets a little curly and happy out of times
with the humidity, but it's holding up nice.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
The humidity. I love it.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
I love it, it feels, it feels. I don't know,
I just I just love being out here. Humidity, cold,
it don't matter to me.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Just man mm hmge.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Just like you said, communication and just being able to
work off each other. If that's in the runner. In
the past, it's been. It's been really helpful. And for
me to come in to be next to Milton and
Barmore makes my job so much easier because they got
to pick their choice between Barmore and Milton, and I'm
good with that.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
What's different than anything about your game from the time
that you signed here to where you want to.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Practice, it's just my understanding, just just picking up their
little things, just just off going with my last one. Uh,
just being around players who've done it and who are
so good at it and just being able to talk
to them and pick out their brains and what I
can do better at the nose or the three or
whatever I'm needing. So it's been helpful, just just picking
up those little techniques and talking to the teammates. So yeah,

(01:29):
just all just beat your one on one really at
the end of the day, then trenches get really ugly,
so it's whoever's in front of you and don't get.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Moved watching one guys.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, it's always good iron shopping, iron man. We always uh,
just trying to work on our technique and and do good.
Is only day too the past, so it's good. Always
get out there one on ones and and work what
we've been working on all spring.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Bring in O t A. So what did you make?
Uh be better? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Everything I could always be better in my reps, so yeah,
specific Yeah, this's a I gotta drink a ton more
water just because I'm sweating so much, so that uh,
they do a good job of keeping us hydrated. So
that's never really a problem for me. So it's been good. Yeah,

(02:39):
that's for everyone, I think. Uh, and that's not even
just the line, that's the backers behind us, that's the
DB's behind us.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
So it's they gotta pick there.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
They're poisoned between those two and it's uh, and we
feed off so that that means we got one on
one on one in our opportunity.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
So it's goods.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Against the Brookie line and Jared Wilson.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
It's been good.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
You know, they've been working all all camp and it's
cool to come out and see to come alive and
their technique come alive, and their their r Q. The
game starting to come up with because you know how
fast it is now in the league compared to college,
so it's good to see them come into that.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I've been going up again Brad Barris since my second year,
so it's always always good going against a veterans center
who knows what he's doing, who knows who has all
the little savvy moves, so it sharpens my game up.
So it's it's been it's been really good. It's been good.

(03:37):
I found a place to live. Everything's so cool here.
I haven't really been out much to to eat and stuff.
So I still gotta I still got to cross that.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Off my list.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
But when that time comes in, we're gonna get you
guys when.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
We see you with christ on the same field. Else
to the defense, what else does allow the whole defense
to do?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
I think we just shut a tone up front. That's
the run of the past. I think it starts off
front with all of us. So for that, just we
knowing that and having a chip on our shoulder and
what that comes with it makes it more exciting, all
of it, the run the past. I just want to
be better in all aspects as best I can, whatever.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
That looks like. But yeah, all of that, just being
here in the league.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I mean, the chances of being here is already slim
with the numbers, so it's just being out here is
it's already a blessing. So just having a chip on
your shoulder and coming out and doing what we do,
is it's that much more fun for us.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
So saying or raise says a lot.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
No, No, we should be working. Yeah, he says a
lot of stuff. So no, he's too many. But they're
all good. So yes, last question, guys say that moment time.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Oh no, sir, h.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Yeah, it was pretty cool. It's man, it's it's an honor.
But uh, at the end of the day, we were
just working. I think anybody could have gotten it. Really,
everybody was working during camp. So it's just it's still
the same, nothing changes. Were just working, So that's all
it is. Yeah, I love you here. Teammates, coaches cool

(05:33):
everybody's been very welcoming and just being able to come
here and just to play and be free.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
That's all you can ask for. Y's sir, thank you,
thank you.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Good hot hot day, hot day. Yeah, just a little. Yeah,
it's been good.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
I would say it's a collab collaborative, like just guys
coming together learning the offense. Between me, Drake and Ben,
it's been great to bounce ideas off of each other.
I think the greatest resource has been coach McDaniels and
the success that he's had in the league obviously here
in New England, and running the offense that he's brought
here and for us, like we're trying to pick it
up as.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Quickly as possible.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Each day.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
He's pushing us to just get ownership of the offense
and so it comes with more reps and more throwers
with the guys and building that rhythm and timing and
command of the offense, of the line of scrimmage. But
it's been a great room, great vibes, and we're enjoying
working together. Yeah yeah, I mean every morning he comes in,

(06:39):
he's like, do you love football? You know, So he
comes in with the energy, he sets the tempo and
I think like his his just urgency to get it
right is what I really enjoy.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
You know.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
Obviously you can always have the excuse of his first
time in the offense, you know, the first time on
the practice field, we're still getting the getting the understanding down.
But his standard is to get it right the first time,
to understand it, ask the right questions, and execute at
a high level each time we get something. So I
really enjoy it. Like it's it's a very intense.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
We work hard, but that's what we love about about
the sport.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
I feel like.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
It does. It does like we're bouncing ideas off of
each other.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Things that I've done other places, things that Drake has
done in college or last year I was with Ashton,
Grant and Cleveland, and we've been able to bring stuff
that that we had and had success with in Cleveland
as well.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
So it's been a collaborative effort.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
There's a lot of experience across the coaching staff on
the offense side of the ball, and so I think
guys are adding their different inputs or nuances, different twists
on the offense. So we're trying to keep defenses on
their heels and attack every play so I think with
the guys who have in the room, can do a
really good job of that all year. Yeah, it's good,

(07:53):
it's good. Definitely in the red zone we can smell
the end zone. That definitely feels good. But Josh has
explained like he wants to use our skill set and
athleticism at the QB position as another way to keep
the defense on their heels. And so obviously situationally, when
we need it, we'll be able to pull it out
and make plays with our legs. Outside of that, you know,
we'll get to make sure we're in the right play

(08:13):
pick the pick defenses apart, and definitely we just want
to have like four momentum every time we take the field.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
He's athletic.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
I mean, I think our entire QB room is athletic,
and that's why it fits us. Well, we watched a
couple of this tape from last year, like Scrambles making
throws on the runs, and we all know the type
of arm that he has.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
He's able to make plays outside of the scheme of
the offense.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
I think we all bring that skill set to this
offense and that's what's really exciting. And so now it's
like how can we use that situationally when the defense
gets gets us rarely, how can we make a play
when something isn't there, but also take care of the football.
I would say any quarterback out here in this league
doesn't really view themselves as a backup. Know they view

(09:00):
themselves as a person that can step in there, execute
the offense and be one of thirty two any given sunday.
I say, like having that mindset of what is what
makes you a good football player? Obviously our roles and
the depth chart, right, that's obviously the side and we're
not numb to that, but the way that you approach
every single day, being prepared, ready to execute, always knowing
your stuff, being professional, and also like at the end

(09:22):
of the day, knowing that you go out there you
can be the top quarterback in the league, go out
and dice of the defense no matter where you're start
on the depth chart. That's always been my mindset and
it definitely has hell true and I've done well well
for myself and the opportunities I've had, and that's what
you know, it's still in ben And then just having
that aggressive mindset at the QP room when we take
the field, you do that, like, you'll be able to
take advantage of any opportunity. But also your team knows

(09:45):
that whoever's back there quarterback, we have a chance.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
To win.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
As each each room has his own dynamic.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
But Drake's played a lot of football and he's learned
from his dad who was really good at football as well.
Ben's a very smart kid and he's played a lot
of football in college before he's gotten here. So we
have we have a lot of experience by in the day.
You know, it's all just about guys like coming together.
Obviously we're all competing each day, right like we all
want to have a perfect day when we stepped out
out there with our team, go out and score and
compete from a completion standpoint execution standpoint. But still it's

(10:25):
great to be able to go back in the room
and be able to bounce ideas off of each other.
I think it's been really good. Like Drake, as I said,
he has a lot of experience. He's learning each each
day as well, and so things that I can provide,
I do it. But you know, I'm not here, I'm
not I'm not the QB coach, right Like Ashton does
a great job of that im pouring into him as well.
And Josh McDaniels is an endless well of knowledge, so

(10:46):
he does a tremendous job of you know, pointing up
obviously Tom film film from his success and Las Vegas
with Derek Carr.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
So we have a lot of good guys to watch
in this offense. I think that's what helps us play well.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
Said it one more time, No, I would say, you know,
it's practice, like we're practicing different things. We wanted to
get some guys on the outside a couple of chances
of some one on one balls, and we haven't thrown
a lot of them yet to this point in practice,
but we were able to execute and the last team

(11:24):
drill and go out and make plays. And that's what
practice all about, is finding those one on one matchups,
getting timing and rhythm with the guys and uh so
that you know, we want to we want to test
them out here so that when we get in the stadium,
we're locked in and we know exactly where each person
wants them to be. Yeah, I mean we want to score,

(11:45):
especially in the red zone. You know, it's a double
edged sword, right, Like we want to score every play
in the red zone. We want to take shots on
the end zone, but the defense is gonna run some
good coverages and we had to know when we got
to check it down take care.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Of the football.

Speaker 5 (11:57):
So I thought the offense did a really good job
with that. There's definitely plays that we could have made
that we meet Drake and Ben. We thought we could
have taken advantage of some one on one matchups a
little earlier in practice. But it's great to see us
respond into practice really have a smooth drill low.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
In the low red zone. So it's the key. It's
a double ed show.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
We want to take care of the four on the
red zone, score a lot of points, but also manage
the game.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Well, no problem, appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
We do what we're getting coached to do. We could
be a problem.

Speaker 8 (12:23):
Oh No, I've been I've been saying I'm excited. I
couldn't be more excited to be here and to play
with the guys that we have upfront, because, like I've
been saying, the Skuy's a limit for us.

Speaker 4 (12:30):
We just got to focus on coming.

Speaker 8 (12:31):
Out here and improving on our techniques every single day
and not taking any day for granted, because every day
means something.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Uh, and yeah, verys like about.

Speaker 7 (12:39):
The guys up front.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
It's the versatility, is just the different stuff playmakers.

Speaker 9 (12:43):
That you have.

Speaker 8 (12:44):
Yeah, I would say it's the versatility, the play making ability.
I think everybody has a chance to go out there
and dominate the game. And that's what makes it exciting.
You never know who's gonna be the one to pop off,
and and that's why these days are so important because
we're getting a feel for each one of us and
we want us all to be working in unison together.
Respond Noah, I mean I think they're responding well. I

(13:10):
think everybody knows the expectation when we when we come
out here. Uh, there's a certain style and identity that
Braids wants us all to play with. And I think
the team's responding well. Like I said, we just got
to take it one day at a time.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
And Williams and developing twists and stuffs and that stuff.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
What have you seen specifically.

Speaker 8 (13:30):
Two guys, Yeah, No, I mean both of them. Like
I said, both of those players can go out and
dominate a game. Different skill sets and that's what I
That's why I said it's so exciting because all of
us have different skill sets. But we all still have
that same play making ability to be able to go
out there and dominate a game. And like I said,
every rep counts with all of us out there together
to get a fill for one another, to continue to grow.

Speaker 7 (13:53):
Jacks that this is one.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Of the smartest linebacker rooms that he's been a part of.
What can you say is just the intelligence of.

Speaker 8 (13:59):
Dealver game specific Oh yeah, no, I mean I agree,
I love I love having give behind me. But yeah, no,
I think that's one thing that raives value is not
only physicality, but smart linebackers, Guys that are that are
going to be where they're supposed to be, and guys
that can make other guys right.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
So yeah, I mean, I agree, time to.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Snap to get off the curious What makes that.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Such an important part of your game?

Speaker 8 (14:23):
Oh well, I mean for any pass rusher, you know,
get off the most important things. So whatever study and
I'm doing whatever tells that I can get to get
off the ball as fast as I can, That's only
going to help me. But a winner, a loss, and
past Russ, it all starts with to get off.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
So year, in many.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Ways, what will be the difference making for you guys
to get that number increased.

Speaker 8 (14:47):
Oh well, like I said, I think, you know, I
think this organization has done a great job getting the
right guys in there. Now it's just about us coming
out here every day and focusing on our technique, not
taking any days for granted, and just going to work.
And I keep saying the skuys that Lemon, we got
to come out here and prove it every day and
take steps forward each day leading up to the season.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
The last week, you remember last time we see.

Speaker 8 (15:11):
Uh nah, But I mean it gets hot in Tennessee.
So I mean I'd rather be one hundred and ten
than ten.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
So a lot of time.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Mm hmm, one of those Yeah.

Speaker 8 (15:32):
No, I mean at the end of the day, we
might be going against each other right now, but we're
still teammates.

Speaker 6 (15:36):
We're all just trying to improve.

Speaker 8 (15:38):
So every time we go one on one or whatever
the case may be, you know, we're trying to give
each other tips what they saw, what I saw, all
in an effort to just improve. Down there is not
you want to win every rep, but it's really about working,
you know, your craft and working the stuff that you're
going to be using come season time. Uh So, yeah,
I mean it's all great work.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Appreciate it for someone that is practicing a hundred degree.

Speaker 9 (16:04):
Definitely, Tyra. But you know, every day were coming out here.
It's a blessing for real to just to be out
here and practicing with this team, having this opportunity. So
just trying to make the most out of it.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Craig, I've categorized description.

Speaker 9 (16:23):
Hey, whatever the coach staff need me to do whatever,
you know, role I can earn to be on this
team and uh, you know, contribute to us, you know,
going and winning. That's what I'm gonna do. So if
it's three downs, if it's two of it's one, whatever
it is. I'm just here to help the team.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Your communication ability when you were drafting, I'm curious how
it's been transitioning NFL contents.

Speaker 9 (16:43):
Yeah, I mean a communication just turns up and not
like everything happens faster. There's motion, like you know, every place,
so you just have to be one step ahead and
be able to communicate, be loud, vocal.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (16:53):
You know, there's a lot of fans out here, so
you know, just I can only imagine what it is
like in the game having that many people. So just
have communication key for safety.

Speaker 10 (17:01):
How d.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Yeah, I would say it's pretty good. It's getting there.

Speaker 9 (17:10):
You know, we're installing stuff, you know, every other day,
so uh, just being able to learn go home and
study my butt off and when I'm up here, just
you know, try to learn from the older guys in
the group.

Speaker 6 (17:21):
It's really been helping.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
When you think about today's practice and you just get
off the fields, you're gonna watch the tape, but we
were a couple of places stood out to you that
when you were on the field.

Speaker 9 (17:31):
Yeah, uh, definitely the play. Uh you know Stefan got
over on me. Uh just you know, got to have
better leverage on that. But uh, you know, plays like that,
just you know, let me know, like you know, I'm here,
this is the NFL, and you know everybody's good, so
just gotta be on my a game.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
How wish there's a help coming from.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
A lot of disguise, a lot of different.

Speaker 9 (17:53):
Yeah, it helps a lot. You know, cal really prepared
me for this moment. We did a lot of coverages
and different things with the guy. Just like you said, so,
I think just you know, having that comfortability from college
and then coming to here just helps.

Speaker 6 (18:05):
Like one hundred seen.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
You single a couple of times defense.

Speaker 6 (18:11):
First, being back on the ange, it feels good.

Speaker 9 (18:15):
But you know, one thing I've learned is these quarterbacks
they're they're good.

Speaker 6 (18:19):
You know what I'm saying. There's time and everything.

Speaker 9 (18:21):
They can make those throws to the no sideline, the sideline,
So I gotta have that range when I'm single.

Speaker 6 (18:26):
High we to the h.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (18:34):
I wouldn't say that, but you know, I was just
example of you know, you know guys here are good, guys,
here are elite.

Speaker 6 (18:39):
So I just gotta be on my game. Yeah, what
are some challenges?

Speaker 9 (18:50):
Really just got to focus, Like you know, you have
all these external factors, but at the end of the day,
like when you're locked in on the play, you gotta
do your job and you got to know your assignment.

Speaker 6 (18:59):
You got nowhere to go and give effort every every down.
So yeah, what was.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
To take away from you?

Speaker 6 (19:11):
For me, it's just understand leverage. That's that's all. It is.
Just gotta be better on my technique.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
Who are some of the guys in your rookie Glassy
become closest.

Speaker 9 (19:20):
With I would say Kobe Minor for sure. He's a
Dallas guy, so we we known each other since you know,
training together XO. So, uh, comfortability there and then Brandon
crossing all the other rookie dbs. And I will also
say Julian Ashby, he's been a guy that you know,
I hang out with a little bit too.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Mm hmm. Thank you just.

Speaker 7 (19:41):
Want to compete.

Speaker 11 (19:58):
Maybe a little bit. But truthfully, I feel like in
regards to that question, that's more so something that I
focus on when I'm at Center.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 11 (20:07):
I'm not saying that it's completely separate. There's definitely things
that you focus on similarly at center and guard. But
I feel like I'm capable of that. But whenever I'm
at guard, I usually try to let the center do
what he needs to do, you know what I mean.
And I might know the call or know what I'm
supposed to doing or what call he might make. But yeah,
I wouldn't say necessarily do it differently at GUARDE taking.

Speaker 7 (20:29):
A bag Durant, Uh, you should ask coach frigall.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Stuff.

Speaker 11 (20:45):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Well, it certainly simplifies it for us.

Speaker 11 (20:47):
I feel like the communication has been really good acrossteal
line with Drake, With coaches, I feel like it's been
really solad so what's.

Speaker 7 (20:58):
Your process in front of uh on flashcards too?

Speaker 11 (21:02):
Yeah, flash cards, my friend. Now, flash car is actually
pretty big one. I wouldn't say this is a more
difficult system.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Yeah, I don't know. I wouldn't say that at all.
It's just different.

Speaker 11 (21:22):
Well, I can't be given away secrets now. Well, you know,
like the calls are different, protections are different. Everything's a
little different. But whenever you boil it down, it's really similar.
You know, every offense in the league has protections or
we slide for the will or has protections or we
slide for the mic, you know, And so it's just
a matter of decoding that and then you know, what

(21:42):
are the calls that we're calling for that protection And
once you figured that out studying through flash cards.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Or whatever, it's pretty simple. You just.

Speaker 11 (21:53):
I wouldn't say so, No, not necessarily.

Speaker 10 (21:59):
M This is.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Very important.

Speaker 7 (22:10):
You know, you get to.

Speaker 11 (22:11):
Know the guys and you get to know who you're
gonna be playing with. I think it makes a difference,
for sure. The closer group of guys.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Yea, the closest one on the same for sure. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
The pining you said, ruation.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
Uh, you know, this is this a physical game. We play.

Speaker 10 (22:33):
You know, all it means is this next man up
gotta be ready step into that role. And you know
standard is the standard, so keep keep all the standards.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
You know, play ball. So you're good.

Speaker 7 (22:49):
Does anything change about your preparation in your mind?

Speaker 3 (22:52):
Second to a practice like this, but Christian problem on
the field, knowing that you might have a.

Speaker 7 (22:56):
Little more problem.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Nah, You know.

Speaker 10 (22:59):
I try to come in the o then, you know,
and prepare myself every day for you know, game week,
just like get ready out here, have fun with the guys,
built half fun, competing and you know, just get ready
for this game is coming.

Speaker 7 (23:09):
Up this year.

Speaker 10 (23:14):
Mentally, you know, I feel like I've grown mentally just
being able to take in all the reps that I've
taken in now from my rookie year now this being
my third training camp, I just feel a lot stronger mentally.
The game is slowed down a lot, and you know,
I'm ready to go out there and have fun to get.

Speaker 9 (23:32):
Out on the field.

Speaker 10 (23:35):
I would describe my game as a ball player. You know,
I just want to be able to go out there
and show, uh, everybody that I'm physical, I could play ball,
you know, just out there ready to have fun.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
A couple of years.

Speaker 10 (23:55):
It's been great being able to learn from a new
coaching staff. Uh, got to show up every day improve yourself.
So that's something I'm always been used to, being an
underdog in this league, so there's nothing new to me.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Just enjoying this new coaching staff.

Speaker 10 (24:08):
I feel like they're doing a great job with you know,
getting everyone to know each other and know them and uh,
getting everyone to be on.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
The same same terms.

Speaker 10 (24:19):
Here.

Speaker 7 (24:20):
What do you think you need to do better on
a daily basis?

Speaker 10 (24:24):
I feel like I improve every day just coming out here,
being able to take the reps in. You're gonna improve
every day, whether that's something new or something. Oh, every
day I'm getting better at the line of scrimmage, with
my feet, with my eyes. So every day I'm getting better,
improving on the little things.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
Two more guys.

Speaker 10 (24:41):
Oh yeah, I talk with Uncle all the time, you know,
just checking. He checks in with me. Uh just talked
to him last week. So about about coach Rabel. He
told me pretty much shout it to me straight, veryble
that we guys a verible that he told me I
was gonna get you know, He's not gonna lie to you.
He gonna tell you what it is, and you know
what you're getting from that guy, So just show up and.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Go the work.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
From Rabs perspective, seems like he can go off and.

Speaker 7 (25:04):
Down the line of defense offense and can give tips
pointers feed. You noticed that about him.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
Yeah, it's been great with him.

Speaker 10 (25:11):
You know him being a players coach, someone who's played
in this league, played here, he's done it all. So
and you know he's a Hall of Famer, so he's
he knows what he's talking about. Being able to take
those coaching points from him, and he's got to soak
him in and add it to your game.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
Thank you appreciate its
