Speaker 1 (00:00):
Marcus join the list of Patriots that have had two
punt returns in a single season for a touchdown and
Troy Brown, Irving Friar, and Mike Haynes. And also I
think you qualify now for the all time record for
punt return average, your number one NFL history because of
the number of the punch you have.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
What's it like to be awesome? First off?

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Man, I think of those situations whenever my dad had me,
like in a parking lot when I was like four
years old, and he used to throw the ball in
the air and be like track it. That was the
first thing that I thought about. You know, it's a
long journey, especially with punt returns. You know, everyone doesn't
want to do it. You know, I find a lot
of joy when it comes down to it. But at
the end of the day, you know, ever since that

(00:44):
I got into the league, I would say, you know,
the guys that have been blocking for me, I commend
them twenty four to seven. Without them, I wouldn't be
able to get any yards, I can honestly say. But yeah,
I commend my guys out there and everything like that.
I try to just make them right. You know, they
do the hard part and everything, and all I do
is just follow blocks and kind of go from there.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
So, hey, Marcus Dan mentioned the name of Troy Brown.
Did you have a chance to interact with Troy before
tonight's game or even after the game?

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Yeah, see before the game and everything like that. Yeah,
me and Troy we go way back and everything like that.
He taught me a lot when it come down to,
you know, catching punts and watched a lot of his
film and everything like that. Yeah, he was one of
the best to ever do it.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
And to follow up regarding the punt return for the
touchdown the ninety four yarder, once you got it to
the near sideline, at what point do you do you
sense like that you have the only the punter to
be and he's he's one of the better tackling punters
in the NFL From a rugby player, Uh, when did
you sense like you had that lanel on the sideline?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
My main thing was don't get tack about a punter. Uh,
I would say that, but I would say also, you know,
the field was kind of shrinking, so I was just like,
you know, make sure I stay up and you know,
do my guys right and everything like that for.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
Sure, Marcus, can you describe you know what that is?
Like You've mentioned before, it's kind of the most exciting
playing football. The fans, everybody gets engaged, but for you personally, like,
what is that feeling like of returning, you know, punt
in that spot.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
I would say all the preparation that come that come
with the situation of playing the game. You know, our
special team coach, you know Springer, like he dolls in
great things. When it comes down to our special team unit,
I see all the ways that you know, my teammates
love to, you know, tell me, hey, what makes it
better for you and everything like that, and I want
them to go play fast. That's my main thing. So

(02:35):
whenever I do touch the end zone, I feel as
though that we all score, you know. So I'm happy
about that because we put a lot of work in
during through the week and everything and whenever you can
display it on Sunday, you know, that's what we do
it for.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Marcus coming into this game a little bit beat up,
left side of the offensive lines out Tonga. Is mc
milton's still out. How did you guys sort of circle
the wagons if you will, in power through this knowing
that the buy is on the other side.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Yeah, first off, everyone prepares as a starter. You know,
Rabe talks about it twenty four to seven, And we
have a lot of guys that's in the building that
respect that and you know, always has that in their
in their heads. So that's a great thing. And then
also whenever people are out there, we have a whole
bunch of confidence for them. That's that's just what it is,
and it's their brotherhood whenever it comes out there and
everything for sure, So everyone that we have out there,

(03:25):
we're thinking that, you know, they can get the job
done for sure.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Like another one about punt returns and punt opportunities. It
seems like recently very few teams have given you the
opportunity a lot of high punts. Short, how have you
stayed ready and what did you anticipate from the Giants
coming into this game what they had shown previously before tonight?

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I would say, yeah, the main thing is uh decision making,
you know what I mean. Of course I want to
be aggressive, but I also have to be smart at
the same time. So whenever there are punts out there,
you know, I gotta go ahead and fair catch and
go from there. But I try to take advantage of
every opportunity that I get. So whenever I do get
a little time, you know, I try to, you know,
make a play. But the main thing is to get

(04:07):
a first, first down first and then you know, make
a play from there. For sure, Thank you guys.

Speaker 7 (04:14):
Probably just the balance, you know, the ability to be
joyful for your brother. Before the game, we had Briethrough
touched on it, everybody doing they one eleventh and I
think I think everybody did that. Obviously there's gonna be
some things that correct on there, but coming out there
with Juice being aggressive.

Speaker 8 (04:27):
You know, we had a good talk about being aggressive.

Speaker 7 (04:29):
All players can be aggressive, you know, even the run plays,
the pass place, just be be aggressive and everybody do
their part.

Speaker 8 (04:34):
So just the balance, a lot of guys.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Making place, a lot of chance for MVP for drink
k Yes, then like we'll do with him this.

Speaker 7 (04:41):
Season, it's been exciting as far as like with a
young quarterback and God shown a lot of promise, a
lot of a lot of confidence, you know, coming from
a quarterback position and we ain't being young. It's obviously
something there. But I think the biggest thing is he
comes in each and every day he's the same guy.
He approaches the game like a profession and lot of fun.
So and he's super hard on this stuff. You can

(05:02):
see out there that he wants to make every throw,
he wants to make all the good decisions and just
stacking it. It's gonna be important MVP. Uh, I think
it is the probably the first thing from his mind.
And he's a he's a winner guy, so he's focused
on the winners.

Speaker 9 (05:12):
Do you think he is the MVP though?

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Do you think he is established that in in in
the league and he should be the MVP?

Speaker 8 (05:18):
Ah, that ain't for me to say. You know, obviously
I'm biased, you.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
Know, cause he's my quarterback and I would love for
him to win the VP his second year in the league.

Speaker 10 (05:24):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (05:24):
He's an amazing quarterback. But you know that ain't enough
to us. I think what we chasing is gonna be
a little bit more important. But you know, you continue
to play well, it'll fall right in your lack.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Step like ten frat wins.

Speaker 8 (05:33):
W What do you think fakes this team special? Mm?

Speaker 7 (05:37):
Part of camaraderie, you know, guys really pulling for each other. Uh,
it's not fake out there. You want guys to play well.
You want the guys around you to play well. Throwing
those extra blocks and doing all that. I think it
goes a long way, especially from like, uh the receiver position,
like guys out there really trying to spring the running
backs for yards and and we super hard at each other.

Speaker 8 (05:54):
I think the the.

Speaker 7 (05:54):
Accountability is there, uh coming from when a guy you
know doesn't get as many yards as does this, Like
we all hold each other accountable, and it's uh, it's
like it we built that standard.

Speaker 8 (06:03):
So I think that's the biggest thing.

Speaker 11 (06:04):
You always say, don't drink the kol aid, But are
you starting to think about what this team can do
in January?

Speaker 8 (06:09):
No?

Speaker 7 (06:10):
I think, uh, focus on December right now. You take
care of December, November. December is when you're playing that
real ball. And uh, the deeper you go, the more
important they get. So just focus on December right now.
We got a bye week, got some guys banged up.
You know, I wanna touch on, uh the guys that
did step up in this game. You know those guys
that were new out there, and they they communicated well,
they played well, and you know that next man mindset.

Speaker 8 (06:30):
I was I was super proud of those guys.

Speaker 7 (06:31):
So, uh, get this bye week, get some guys healthy,
and we get this show back on the road.

Speaker 12 (06:35):
I'm looking into as.

Speaker 9 (06:36):
You go into the file and specific games are all
there when.

Speaker 8 (06:39):
You remember her name here in New England, I mean,
nobody knows the record, you know.

Speaker 7 (06:43):
Uh, it just take it one week at a time,
and uh, like I said, don't drink the koul aid.
I mean in the beginning of the season we run
roughly had like like two losses at one point, and
you know, didn't drink the kool aid, didn't just stayed
at it. We knew what kind of team we had.
It was gonna take some time for us to put
it all together, and you know, stacking wins has been important.

Speaker 8 (06:59):
Up to this point.

Speaker 7 (07:00):
So for us, Uh, I didn't. I didn't have any
any ideas or any thoughts going in. But I wasn't apprehensive.
I was super confident in the guys, the coaches, you know,
and here we are.

Speaker 10 (07:11):
You feel like it was like the you have the
confidence where you guys feel like he can go every
weekend and get a win and play.

Speaker 8 (07:16):
The way that you from training camp.

Speaker 7 (07:19):
Yeah, you know, we had a lot of success in
those joint practices and playing against guys and you know,
we don't know what the defense was doing on the
other side, but being the offense, we knew that we
had a lot of guys on the office side that
could make play, a lot of guys that could make play.
So the confidence has always been there, you know, but
execution brings energy and you know, it's more surprised to
everybody else.

Speaker 11 (07:37):
He spoke about being joyful for this group of guys.
When you see Kyle Williams in the end zone thing, Yeah,
does that mean to you? And what you've seen from
him that we don't get to see at this point
in the season.

Speaker 7 (07:49):
In the consistency a god as he's a young guy,
but he he can roll now, he's fast, he's savvy, he's.

Speaker 8 (07:56):
Been open a lot.

Speaker 7 (07:57):
You know, they haven't they haven't connected throughout the year,
but it's around that time that those banked reps that
you've had and that consistently that you put on tape
of getting open it start to turn the corner for you.

Speaker 8 (08:06):
So super happy for him. I think Booty had went down.
He came in.

Speaker 7 (08:09):
You just you see, we got a lot of guys
that can play at a high level. So, you know,
just being happy from me's young guy. He got a
lot a lot of football in front of him. Hopefully
get a couple more tests this year.

Speaker 11 (08:17):
How much just seeing Marcus jale rip off touchdown early
in the game especially energized.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
You guys the rest of the way.

Speaker 8 (08:24):
It's exciting.

Speaker 7 (08:25):
I think if I know Pro Bowl, but I think
he's an All Pro player. You know, I don't know
how they do it far as like all Pro, but
if they have an all around athlete that does everything,
I think he's damn sure be in a conversation, he's returning,
he's covering, he's excited, and he brings a lot of juice.

Speaker 8 (08:39):
You know, people don't know special teams is like an
extra team.

Speaker 7 (08:42):
You know, we got offensive defense, but that special teams
unit brings a lot of energy. When you knocking the
football out of people, hitting people hard, being aggressive, you know,
and when you house calling stuff.

Speaker 8 (08:51):
It's obviously office.

Speaker 7 (08:52):
We had a joke on the song on saying like, damn,
we want.

Speaker 8 (08:55):
To play too, Marcus, give us, give us a little
bit of love. So it's all fun out there.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
So what's it feelings?

Speaker 2 (09:00):
One of those sidelines where Sin you ran into cameram
and you were.

Speaker 8 (09:03):
Helping him up.

Speaker 7 (09:04):
Came over said, go go go, He's all right.

Speaker 13 (09:07):
It was kind of funny.

Speaker 6 (09:08):
I was just kind of.

Speaker 8 (09:10):
I don't know, just in my brain.

Speaker 7 (09:12):
Knock somebody down, it's just natural for you to be like, damn,
like you help you up at least, you know what
I'm saying, especially when you hit people pretty hard. So
just you know, trying to care about somebody.

Speaker 12 (09:20):
Oh, he was like, come on, go go, go go.

Speaker 7 (09:22):
You know, you know he's focused on football in the
next play. But you know, I try to do both
to play for him. It's exciting. You know, we talk
about him. I speak highly of him. You know, I
respect him as a coach, one of my favorite coaches
up to this point. You know, I look forward to
building off of that. And you know, it's been it's
been a very very fun year.

Speaker 8 (09:37):
You know.

Speaker 7 (09:38):
So a lot of things had took place, you know,
coming off an injury and being around a new i'm sorry,
being around a new group of guys, and he's made
the transition real seamless as far as helping the team
band together, spending time together, getting to know.

Speaker 8 (09:48):
Each other and appreciate him as a man going into
the line.

Speaker 7 (09:56):
Uh, it's always more fun when you win, you know. Uh,
going into a week you're getting a week off. You
don't want to be in the other column. So we
appreciate all the wins. You know, we won't get get
healthy and get back on the road real soon, so
appreciate jo Christian.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
How good was it to start the way you guys started?
How much talk was that going into this game about
getting off to a fast Tar just certainly showed a
lot of energy from the beginning of the game.

Speaker 14 (10:21):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
It was. It was good to get out there and
get a get ahead of them quick and then be
able to play from from ahead. I mean that's always good.

Speaker 8 (10:31):
You know.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Shout out to the offense, Shout out to Marcus. You
know that that always sparks a lot of momentum. I
think each game he's he's returned to touchdown. That's it
just sparked. You know, offense and defense, so that's a
that's a big part of a weapon we have. So
I mean as a defense, it's always either get the
ball to Drake or or get the ball to to Marcus.

(10:52):
So you know, it was it was a good win,
good good way to come out fast and finish the game.

Speaker 15 (11:02):
Christian, how would you describe the impact that Marcus has
on the team. I mean we saw it out on
the field, but even going into the locker room as well.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Yeah, for sure, he was voted captain for a reason.
He has a voice and he uses it. You know, everybody,
you know, we look to him, you know, especially in
the in the secondary, we're kind of all you know,
we're real close in the secondary. So you know, he
plays a big role. Being Nickel, He's gotta travel around,
he's gotta do a lot of things. A lot of

(11:31):
things are are are you know on your plate while
you're playing Nickels. So but I mean he handles it amazing.
And you know, being in the locker room, he's one
of the most energetic guys in there. At at eight
in the morning, he's in there smiling, laughing, joking. Sometimes
I gotta tell him, all right, Mark, you gotta calm
down a little bit. But nah, he's he's amazing. So

(11:53):
it's awesome, you know, him being in the in the
back seven for sure, hand on the team.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Hey, Christian, you guys established a physical tone right from
the outset of the game, but there was a period
of time when emotions started to spill over a little bit,
some extra pushing and shoving, there was personal fall and
the Giants still on the sideline. What was Mike Frabel's
message to you guys in those moments tonight or or

(12:22):
the message in general in terms of keeping your composure
as opposed to losing it?

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Yeah, for sure. I mean it's football. Things like that
gonna happen. You know, everybody on the field is super
competitive at what we do, and like I said, things
like that are gonna happen, and it's just you know,
if they get you, you know, you feel like it's late.
Just you know, he always tells us, don't retaliate, then
just get them the next place, you know, take it

(12:48):
out on them when you are legal and you're able
to do it. So I mean he's got they've got
as well, coached to to play within the white and
the whistles.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
So yeah, Christian, Mike has been wanting his quarterbacks to
be careful going out, you know, along the sideline there
because you're in play. What did that hit from Christian
do for you guys, as far as emotion goes to
get you guys kind of going a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Oh yeah, that that sparks some energy, especially on their sideline.
It was it was a good hit, clean legal hit.
So I mean, you know, we just can never relax
on the football field. So but Ellis was able to
you know, go over there and make a play and
you know, they retaliated and it helped us even more so.

(13:35):
Sparked momentum. And it's always fun, you know, being on
defense that that you know, you got linebackers that are
going to go up and hit like that.

Speaker 15 (13:46):
Just after what you went through the last two seasons
wins and losses wise, how what is this experience like
and and why like why is it happening from your
view that the team has happened so much success?

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah, I mean I think a lot of it goes
to just this this team is so close. I mean
I've spoken about it from the time Phraves came in
and sat us down in here and told us he's
gonna build a you know, we're gonna build a connection.
We're gonna build connections and you know, get close as
a team. You know, we we got real close, and

(14:22):
I mean it's just able to help us out on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays,
whenever it is, and our our identity just being out there,
go play physical and just as a team, go out
there have fun. I mean, at the end of the day,
you know, we get to play a kids game for
for work. So just you know, going out there with
that joy. You know, he always preaches go play with

(14:43):
that joy and that that you know, that fun you
had as a little kid. So it's been amazing. But
you know, we gotta keep going appreciate y'all.

Speaker 13 (14:55):
So you know, you threw it up and it was
just a great ball placement. I don't think you get
any better than that. I just have to come down
with it.

Speaker 8 (15:01):
How impress are you good? Is just where you're a
I mean, it's unbelievable. You know sometimes you just sit
there and be like that's too good to be true.

Speaker 13 (15:09):
But you know he has a great arm talent. Uh
he sees it feel very well and just overall I'm
just so proud of him.

Speaker 4 (15:14):
It's the fun so the he likes how receiver room.

Speaker 8 (15:17):
Just overall, you guys are very joyful and the way
you play, the way you practice.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
Have you kind of felt that that guys are happy
to come to where it and do.

Speaker 13 (15:23):
Oh, yeah, for sure, it's hard not to feel it,
you know, as soon as you walk through the building
and we you see, we share a whole locker, so
we're always just cracking jokes, you know, uplifting everybody, and
it's just hard to be in a bad mood when
you got so many joyful people around you.

Speaker 12 (15:37):
Oh, it gives you the utmost confidence.

Speaker 13 (15:39):
You know, you just feel really good and you feel
like you could keep doing that and capitalizing.

Speaker 14 (15:42):
Off of me.

Speaker 16 (15:42):
Kyle, what is this year taught you about staying ready
for your opportunities?

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Uh?

Speaker 13 (15:46):
Just being patient. You know, you never know when something's
gonna come, and he just always gotta be ready. Uh,
you know, it's just saying stay ready so you don't
have to get ready. You know, you don't wanna wait
till it's the last day or the moment. You know,
even if things are not going your right, going your
waistay on your routine, cause at some point it's gonna
you know, when the things you were doing before is
gonna help you out in the long run.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
How less you have to go into the bio such
a dominating No.

Speaker 13 (16:05):
Oh, it's great, you know, you you feel what I'm saying.
You can take your foot off the gas for a
little bit, but we know when we come back we
gotta ramp it up and keep going.

Speaker 11 (16:13):
You guys are a team where it's like both on
defense today profession analysis you with your touchdown like week
to week we see different playmakers and yeah, game, what
do you think?

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Coach?

Speaker 5 (16:24):
Were youball?

Speaker 11 (16:25):
And the rest of the couch and staff?

Speaker 13 (16:26):
Does that makes you guys able to I mean he
he demands a lot from us, you know, in a
good way. You know, he's really positive and everything he tells.
Everybody prepares to start it. So you don't go in
a week and I think you're gonna play. You going
a week even if you're not starting, you go in
there prepared to feel like you're gonna play. So when
you have everybody prepared like starters and everybody ready to play,

(16:47):
it's easy to just have anybody pop out at any moment.
So I think we just got a team full of
dogs and we gonna keep doing it.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
As you get ready to head into the bike, just
hew fun has this journey, but for you this season.

Speaker 13 (16:58):
I mean it has been unbelievable.

Speaker 12 (17:01):
It's been great.

Speaker 13 (17:01):
I've never been a part of eleven teams see eleven
win team, So you know this is new, but I'm
taking it all in. But we know we got bigger goals,
so we're not done yet. A fast guy like like that,
it was great. You know, I wanted to race him
down there and see if I could beat him to
the end zone. But but I just couldn't sit back
by help but enjoy it. You know, we talk about

(17:23):
it all the time and meetings, and to see him
do that, I'll be happy.

Speaker 8 (17:27):
I think I'd be happy to him sometimes.

Speaker 12 (17:28):
So you never know how.

Speaker 5 (17:30):
Much of a boost does that give you, you know,
field goal in the first red zone trip.

Speaker 8 (17:33):
And then he comes out and immediately racist the house.

Speaker 13 (17:35):
I mean, I think it's like staff said, man, you
know shit, Well, you know we want to get.

Speaker 8 (17:39):
On the office and score.

Speaker 13 (17:40):
But when you have special teams able to just you know,
create big explosive, it makes the.

Speaker 8 (17:45):
Drive for the offense a lot easier. Yes, sir, appreciate.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
You special teams players.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
What is Jupier team to get a kick return like that?

Speaker 16 (17:57):
Yeah, it just gives us momentum and it's up to us,
uh you to keep that and keep rolling with it.
So I feel like, uh, like you said, complimentary, complimentary football,
A great way to play the game and you know,
get some wins.

Speaker 11 (18:08):
A you er up by what what's allowed you guys to.

Speaker 12 (18:10):
Get to this point?

Speaker 8 (18:12):
Uh?

Speaker 12 (18:12):
Just being relentless?

Speaker 9 (18:13):
Uh?

Speaker 12 (18:14):
What is attacking each practice?

Speaker 6 (18:15):
Uh?

Speaker 12 (18:16):
Each each week?

Speaker 16 (18:17):
Uh, you know, with the same mindset and not getting
comfortable and just being relentless.

Speaker 8 (18:21):
What is it about Mike Rabel that makes this team believe?

Speaker 12 (18:24):
Thanks?

Speaker 9 (18:27):
What's what is it about Mike.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Riebel that makes this team believe?

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Uh?

Speaker 16 (18:30):
He he's been in our shoes before. He's done it
before at a high level. Uh, won some Super Bowls,
caught some touchdown passes.

Speaker 12 (18:36):
He he's done it all.

Speaker 16 (18:37):
So it's just like it's easy to kind of listen
to him and follow behind his lead.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
How miss would be to go into the fine now
I get to retched, especially after such.

Speaker 12 (18:45):
A dominion one, Uh, it's gonna be great.

Speaker 16 (18:47):
Uh, you know, get away from the game for a
couple of days, but get back to it when we
get back.

Speaker 9 (18:52):
Is there surprise at all that you guys are at
this place in his first season?

Speaker 16 (18:57):
Now, I'm not surprised, Uh, since we came in and
o t As.

Speaker 12 (19:01):
Uh we said it.

Speaker 16 (19:02):
We set a standard for ourselves, not only him, but
I feel like all the players bought into it, and
I feel like he's paying off now.

Speaker 6 (19:08):
I really feel fewer today to get.

Speaker 8 (19:13):
That felt good.

Speaker 16 (19:14):
Uh it felt good to you know, help the team
get a win and you know, be a part of it.

Speaker 8 (19:18):
What's the biggest difference you've seen in.

Speaker 12 (19:19):
Drec May this season?

Speaker 16 (19:21):
Uh, his leadership. Uh, just stepping up in his leadership. Bro,
He's being more vocal. Uh and just being a conductor
of our offense.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
If you're not surprised, what is the biggest thing that
you learned so far?

Speaker 12 (19:33):
Uh? Yeah, I can Uh.

Speaker 16 (19:35):
Just coming into ot as just how how we all
came in to work. Uh it's not really a surprise.
I'm loving it. Uh gonna enjoy it, but it's not
a surprise.

Speaker 12 (19:51):
Yeah. Just week by week, h keep stacking wins.

Speaker 7 (19:53):
What was it about?

Speaker 8 (19:55):
Uh?

Speaker 12 (19:55):
Just a lot of people was here.

Speaker 16 (19:57):
Uh everybody showed up ready to work, and now I
feel like we just set a standard for ourselves. I
won't get into exactly what that was, but I feel
like we all bought into it and we'll still stand on.

Speaker 8 (20:09):
That was it?

Speaker 9 (20:10):
A feeling, a different feeling, and ota is this year
care to the year before?

Speaker 16 (20:15):
Mm hm oh no, I think every year is a
little different, So I don't know. Yeah, I appreciate y'all.

Speaker 8 (20:22):
Hey, guys, how you do Christian?

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Mike was talking a little bit before about, you know,
warning his quarterbacks to not be careful dancing along the
line there and when you.

Speaker 8 (20:32):
Go out of bounds, go out of bounds?

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Well, how take us through that play?

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Christian was just saying, it sparked a lot of energy
and passion from you guys. You got a personal follow
from them. What was your thinking going into that? And
take us through that hit?

Speaker 14 (20:45):
You know, during the playofsaw Scramble started chasing them down,
he started tiptooning on the sideline, and I thought he
was listening to go out of bounds, but then I
saw him tiptoning sounds staying bounced. That's I mean, what
am I supposed to do?

Speaker 8 (20:59):
You know?

Speaker 14 (21:00):
And we play hard on defense. We try to bring
life to this team. So that's all I was trying
to do is just do my job and hit anything
in the whites. Yeah, well I understand it. I understand
it one hundred percent. If that was Drake who took
that shot. You know, we would probably react the exact

(21:22):
same way, But for me, I was I was more excited,
just ready to celebrate with my teammates. So I was
ready to go celebrate with all the guys on sideline.
I saw him come flying in. I was like, oh, yeah,
so we're good.

Speaker 8 (21:36):
Good question.

Speaker 6 (21:37):
What kind of message can a hit like that send
to a quarterback or an opposing offense?

Speaker 14 (21:43):
Make sure to slide?

Speaker 9 (21:47):
Is that part of who you want to be?

Speaker 2 (21:49):
A guy?

Speaker 9 (21:49):
The guy who really makes plays, but the kind of
plays that you make can kind of spark your spark
your team as a whole.

Speaker 14 (21:55):
Yeah, you know, everyone has God given abilities. For me personally,
I want to use my speed and my physicality to
impact the game in any way I can. Those are
just plays that just happen to come my way tonight.
So yeah it is.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
How about the kickoff of the mapu and the hit
that got the ball loose?

Speaker 2 (22:19):
How big of a play was that for you.

Speaker 14 (22:20):
Guys to Yeah, you know, players go out to the returner.
You never want to see someone go down like that.
But for us, we were just trying to do exactly
what we've been doing on defense, get the ball back
to our offense, and you know, play hard.

Speaker 6 (22:39):
Christian, been a long season, the latest buy in the league.
What does it mean to you to get to this
point now and be able to get the week off
and sort of recharge your batteries for what promises to
be a fun stretch run here.

Speaker 8 (22:51):
Yeah, you know, it's good.

Speaker 14 (22:52):
It's a good opportunity to be able to reflect, reflect
on this game, reflect on the season so far while
being able to rest our bye. So it's good feeling
to be able to get here. And you know, the
credit to all the guys in the locker room. You know,
this is a unit that we play hard for that
we will will lay our lives online for one another,

(23:13):
and that's what we try to do. And so kudos
to them first and foremost, and then thank the Lord,
my God, that we're able to get to this point.

Speaker 9 (23:25):
Christian, the past breakup at the end, do you feel like,
given the point in the game get do you feel
like you can finally exhale at that point you guys
are on the by You're what goes through your mind
at that point?

Speaker 14 (23:37):
I honest saying the moment, I was just I was
just happy that I was able to make a play
on the ball. You know, after that, it's you know,
you see victory formation. So that's always a good feeling.
And now I haven't even really thought about the buy yet,
thought about what we're going to do.

Speaker 15 (23:54):
So yeah, Christian, at eleven into the Patriots had the
best record in the NFL.

Speaker 8 (24:01):
Right now, just.

Speaker 15 (24:03):
From your view to what would you attribute you know,
the success that the team has been able to have.

Speaker 14 (24:11):
You know, without the abilities given to us by God,
we wouldn't be here, we wouldn't be able to perform
on the field, we wouldn't have another breath, another moment.
So first things first is giving glority to God. The
second thing is going to the headman and setting the
tone and tempo how we want to play, who we
want to be. And then I'd say lastly is the
guys in the locker room. It's easy to come to

(24:33):
work here. It's easy to come to work and work
with the guys in there, and you know, we love
doing it and I love doing it, and you know,
it's just it just makes a lot a lot of
things easier.

Speaker 12 (24:44):
You know, it's not like that everywhere.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
Hey, Christian, in addition to being easier. How much more
fun is it? I mean you came to this team.
You guys went through some really hard times coaching turnover
the last couple of years. Thirteen losses each of the
previous two seasons. Now you're going into a week fourteen
by atop the division, getting ready for the Bills in
a couple of weeks, an important game in December.

Speaker 14 (25:09):
Yeah. You know, trials and tribulations produce character and then
they also produce endurance. So looking back on it, yeah,
it was hard, but I'm thankful that it happened, thankful
that we were able to learn from it, grow from it,
and then you know, be able to carry it on
to this year. And I think we've done a good
job of that, you know, So yeah, appreciate you guys.

Speaker 8 (25:33):
Can I still for you to go into the buy
off of dominating Yeah, yeah, it feels great. It feels great.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Man.

Speaker 10 (25:38):
At the end of the day, you know, all we
want to do is just keep tacking them. You know,
we practice hard all week. You know, Raves prepares us
really well, and it was just good.

Speaker 8 (25:46):
To go out there and put it all on.

Speaker 12 (25:47):
Tape and then step in and sort of businesses for
the old line.

Speaker 8 (25:50):
What do you afigure that.

Speaker 10 (25:52):
Yeah, it's really just a lot of a lot of talking, preparation,
making sure that we know the game plan in and out,
and and just communicating.

Speaker 8 (26:02):
Just make sure we're on the same page. I think
at the end of the day, you know, we.

Speaker 10 (26:05):
Knew if we just talked to one another and we
make sure we're on the same page, that would be fun.

Speaker 8 (26:09):
These a help that you know that you're gonna be
you know, you have a whole.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Week of practice.

Speaker 8 (26:13):
Yeah, their journey game, yes.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
You know, you know you're probably gonna be you don't
have one guy.

Speaker 10 (26:18):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely, man, definitely, it definitely helps
a lot. Having a full week of preparation, you know,
getting all the tips and reminders from the coaches from
what they see throughout the week. It definitely helps hundred percent.
And you know, they laid together a plan, you know
for the Russians that they have. You know, the Giants
have a great front, a lot of athleticisms, and we

(26:39):
went out there next year.

Speaker 9 (26:40):
Okay, it's July thirty first or whatever.

Speaker 13 (26:43):
Yeah, if some old to tell you the seven first,
you know the way it.

Speaker 10 (26:46):
Would yeah, I mean, man, yeah, definitely we We'm telling
you we have put in so much work, you know,
just the team itself, OTAs and camp in preseason. I'm
telling you that coach Rabel has you know, not taken
us off you guys one time.

Speaker 8 (27:01):
And you know we've all bought in, you know, so
this isn't the point that's.

Speaker 10 (27:08):
Take it making one of that spirit. Yeah, and it
was good to to definitely come out, you know, on
top under the lights, you know, with everybody watching. It
was great to just put one together, you know, as
a as an entire team man special teams, defense and offense.
Everybody had their at their moments. Everybody made plays and

(27:30):
it was just great to get the win.

Speaker 15 (27:31):
This show up can be done in this league.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
It just work out the way that you want.

Speaker 8 (27:36):
Does it show how things can.

Speaker 10 (27:41):
Works out the way the neighbors too, and the way
somebody plans and when you say, how point somebody.

Speaker 4 (27:48):
Go out and getting new players and bringing a new
talent everything else.

Speaker 12 (27:51):
You can turn it around it Yes, yeah, I mean
it just it depends.

Speaker 10 (27:56):
I feel like, you know, it kind of just whatever
team who know who they bring in, the type of
players they bring in, and depends.

Speaker 8 (28:02):
It doesn't always guarantee success.

Speaker 10 (28:05):
But you know, as I like to say, we we've
all linked back on the team again and our pillars
or who we are, and I think that's this.

Speaker 8 (28:12):
Guy's here now.

Speaker 6 (28:13):
You never did know the shoulder injury last yeareah, how
much better do you feel now than you did by
the end of the last season.

Speaker 8 (28:19):
So feel a way better.

Speaker 10 (28:21):
It definitely seems that to just you know, be out
there not nursing an injury, you know, going through these games.
But I'm just like, you know, if that got out
there as who I want?

Speaker 8 (28:31):
How did you pie with chemistry? Just communication?

Speaker 10 (28:35):
You know, you know, Coach mc daniels made it, you know,
made it known that you know who longs we've talked
and wearing the same page will be fine, so you
know what I mean, and then make sure you know
throughout the week of practice, the preparation even can been
on the film, well you know we're watching friends just
talking and making saying the same page, you.

Speaker 8 (28:51):
Know, telling him you know what I think I'm gonna do.

Speaker 10 (28:53):
On displayed him telling me you know, it just makes
you on the same page. It's definitely you know, how
who were able to you know, go out there and
do the aime out peak stood, h appreciate it,
