Speaker 1 (00:00):
Fellas.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
How y'all doing good to see y'all. Yeah, it feels
great being out here with uh. You know, it's a
lot of new guys out here on the team, so
just building that chemistry, uh, you know, getting comfortable everybody
out here and just you know, giving our putting our
(00:20):
best foot forward, trying to you know, get some wins
under our belt this year.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
You're in tremendous shape, which is your off season like
and taking it through.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
To where you're ready for camp.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Kind of the same thing.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
You got to ask me this every year you notice that.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Kind of the same thing though. I think my body
is just maturn.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
I just know what I gotta do, Uh, long season,
So just making sure my body is ready. So it's
just extra extra conditioning, extra, you know, just a little extra.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
I think we get heavier.
Speaker 5 (00:46):
That's why a lot of shorter quick passes today.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
What was the goal for the offensive practice, Uh, just
be good on first down, positive play on first down,
don't go back words, uh, no pre snap penalties, things
like that. So, uh, we did all right, but we
need to you know, still work to do. I think
(01:23):
every day is different, especially in the NFL. Every day
is different. Every year is different, So yeah, of course
it's it's a lot of new things going on in here.
You know, it's a lot of new faces, a lot
of new players and stuff. So yeah, just getting getting
that chemistry going with each other, just talking inside meetings,
going to dinner, things like that.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
That you mentioned.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
So yeah, it's a great thing.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Yeah, I dropped a couple of bounds.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yeah, Uh, there wasn't really, it wasn't That wasn't really
my goal.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
It just happened to happen. Yeah, Josh on this offense.
I love Josh.
Speaker 6 (01:56):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
You know, I had my rookie year. I'm very comfortable
with him.
Speaker 7 (02:00):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
I think he's comfortable with me.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
He knows my strengths, he knows that I need to
work on, and you know, he's just a great coach.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I'm glad to be around him.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Again because the other guy.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
It was great just just the guys getting together, like
I said a couple of times already, just building that chemistry.
That's a big part of the uh, you know, building
a football team. It's having chemistry, just knowing who you're
fighting with next to you and things like that.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
So I think we got off to a great start
doing that.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
You mentioned earlier, you're trying to avoid those prea penalty
that general.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
How is that gone to this point? It's like, does
it look pretty good to you?
Speaker 7 (02:41):
So far?
Speaker 4 (02:41):
Doesn't look like they could snap today?
Speaker 2 (02:44):
But not Uh yeah, but I'm sure you guys listen
to Rabel the stuff that gets his beat, that's the
stuff that gets his beat.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
So even if it happens once, that's too much.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
Hope you guys picked.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Up offensive thing the years has been considered.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
A difficult one for you. Guys get a little bit
of a head start because you had them. These other guys,
how would they.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Taken to it in your opinion, I'll speak on the
guys in my room. I think they're doing a very
nice job. But they asked questions. Uh, they're always locked
in everybody, So I think they're doing a great job learning.
You know, it's always gonna be it's gonna be steps
to it. You know, Josh mc daniel's offense isn't easy,
So just honing in, just looking at the playbook over
and over, there'll be all right.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
More comfortable is obviously in the second year.
Speaker 7 (03:30):
Do you notice that both on and off the field.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Uh, I mean, I'll let him speak for himself. If
he's feeling more comfortable, that's what it is. So yeah,
he's doing a great job out there getting better.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
So yeah, a lot of pass catching backs, what's it
bringing the team?
Speaker 2 (03:45):
And uh, diversity, diversity to the to the offense.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
We could do everything.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
I think everybody in that running back room could play
on all three down So that's that's a strength for us.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, I appreciate this.
Speaker 8 (03:58):
Afternoon, man.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 7 (04:00):
Man to you, how you doing all right, blessed man, blessed? Yeah, yeah,
thank you, No, not not yet, not yet.
Speaker 9 (04:11):
Go ahead, I'm gonna.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Come picture question.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
Yeah, yeah, talking about to see each other and locker wise,
I would if you observed, like over your years about
how play players next to each other and help the bond.
Speaker 10 (04:30):
I mean, I think just you know, over my over y'all,
just being in the league for twelve years now, I
was blessed to have the best tackle.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
To play in football right now, and that's Trent Williams.
Speaker 10 (04:40):
So I got to learn from, you know, the best,
and not saying that, uh you know, I'm a I'm
at his caliber, you know, but like just uh, you know,
the years that I've been been able to play and
things like that. Man, just to be able to sit
down beside Will in the locker room and kind of
talk overlooks. You know, we'll pass the iPad back and forth,
bounce questions and that's what you like, man, because at
the end of the day that brings is Tom Roderi
(05:00):
and brotherhood. You know, obviously at tackle, man, we got
a hard task at hand and be able to bounce
a different ideas. Yeah, I mean, great question, man, but
(05:40):
we're not gonna done on the past because it's a
new year.
Speaker 8 (05:42):
Man.
Speaker 10 (05:43):
We got an unbelievable talented room and we're growing every day.
And you know, we got some guys that played a
lot of football in that room and some guys the
young guys that are willing to learn and eager to learn.
Speaker 7 (05:53):
I think the change of the culture is the is
the key. You know.
Speaker 10 (05:56):
You know, football is the same as as every sport.
You know, it's one of the trenches. You know, when
they's count down at fourth and one and it's two
minute drills and things like that, you count on the
offensive line and the d line to go out there
and eat. And you know, the good thing about it
is that we got a great a great offensive line,
and we got a great defensive line. So we challenge
each other every day and that's iron sharp and iron
So we look forward to the battle, you know obviously,
Uh it's our job to keep our our star quarterback
(06:18):
up right, and we're gonna do those things.
Speaker 11 (06:20):
So so the optimism then put the people are feeling
because of the changes that have been made.
Speaker 7 (06:24):
Or are well founded, Yeah, one hundred percent.
Speaker 10 (06:26):
And it starts with the foundation, and it starts with
the you know, the comradi and the brotherhood.
Speaker 7 (06:30):
So you know, when I first got here, you know, uh, there.
Speaker 10 (06:32):
Wasn't a lot of you know, offensive line dinners and
things like that, and we hung out a couple of
times already, and so that's the key is just being
able to get to know each other outside of the building.
And Coach Rabel has done a great job of you know,
allowing us to get up in team meetings and and
share our stories and that allows us to come back,
come back, you know, together, because if you can know
your brother off the field, you'll you'll definitely love them
on the field.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Well, tell us a little bit more about those teammates.
Speaker 10 (06:54):
Like what does that tell their showers you know, it's
just really just getting to know each other, you know,
and that's creating that bond.
Speaker 8 (06:59):
You know.
Speaker 10 (07:00):
At the end of the day, we play hard sports,
you know, and you know, not every time somebody's gonna
be able to give a hundred percent, but if you
know what your brother's going through off the field and
on the field, you can be there for him, you know,
especially if you've got that extra ten percent in your tank.
So that's what it's about, man, It's just uh, you know,
you know, getting together and building that brother brotherhood throughout
the whole of the offensive line and the team this season.
Speaker 9 (07:20):
What's your impressions Dae.
Speaker 7 (07:23):
So Fort especially kind of have a uh special man special.
Speaker 10 (07:26):
You know obviously you know the things he's able to do, run,
you know, throw the ball down field, extend plays, and
obviously you know, you know, bringing stuff and stuff in
and getting the receiver group together and those guys training
in the off season together. I don't know if that
was things that were done in the past, but you know,
obviously it's a different, different culture that that's changing in here,
and that's what you look for is just like, you know,
(07:47):
that brotherhood and we got a lot of good guys
that uh, that are willing to teach the younger guys.
And when you have that that makeup in your in
your locker room, the expectations are high.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
The play being rotated with Andre, you other guys rotating
plan that the staff pass for you.
Speaker 10 (08:06):
I don't know, man, I just come in and uh,
you know, trying to put my best foot forward every day.
Speaker 7 (08:09):
You know.
Speaker 10 (08:09):
The good thing about where I'm at right now is
that I still feel like I can continue to learn.
It's a way different offense that I've been in, you know,
in my previous years, and so that's that's that's what
keeps me going, is just you know, being able to
come in and knowing that I can get better every
day and the opportunities there.
Speaker 7 (08:24):
Kind of like.
Speaker 10 (08:27):
Yeah, I mean I don't I don't know what it is,
but you know, I I don't ask any questions, man,
I just do what I'm told, and I you know,
you know, those guys need reps too, because obviously, you know,
in the.
Speaker 7 (08:35):
In the trenches, know things happen.
Speaker 10 (08:36):
You know, I think last year they had a lot
of injuries in the offensive line, and so it's it's
good to get everybody you know, those those those reps
and things like that. But uh, you know, we're moving
forward and we and we're we're getting what we need,
we're correcting the things in the in the meeting rooms,
and you know, everything's going well.
Speaker 11 (08:51):
Do you still look forward to having practices against you
guys and ultimately enjoy practices?
Speaker 7 (08:58):
Hell?
Speaker 10 (08:58):
Yeah, it's hard to blow when they just got jerseys on.
We need something to grab.
Speaker 7 (09:05):
What is the.
Speaker 8 (09:07):
Practices though?
Speaker 10 (09:08):
And what's kind of a mess if you don't get discouraged? Man?
You know, Shoot, Rome wasn't built in one day, you know,
so it takes time and takes foundation to build these things. Obviously,
we play a position that's based off of technique and
the knowledge of the game, and so just being able
to build off of, you know, one bad day, come
back and correct some things and just not making the
(09:28):
same mistake over and over. That's that's what growth is making.
My guy right here, he being waiting and I got you.
It seems like you and the modreck Drake has been
attached to him during practice after what if you seen
from him some questions for working with him?
Speaker 7 (09:40):
And I know it's from him, No, no, one hundred percent.
Speaker 10 (09:44):
I think in our room, we we have a great
group of guys that, uh, that are willing to ask questions.
And when you got veterans like you know, Garrett and
me in there and you're able to you know, hey, man, yeah,
I'll share the knowledge of the game whatever you need.
Not only it makes those guys rise, you know, it
makes you rise your game because you know they're coming
and right, so at the end of the day, that's
what you want.
Speaker 7 (10:02):
You want a battle in the room. You want a
good battle, you know.
Speaker 10 (10:06):
And uh, and that way, everybody's out there getting better
every day.
Speaker 7 (10:11):
Once I got you next go ahead?
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Is there anything Will that surprised you about Will?
Speaker 7 (10:15):
And so oh, man, he's just eager to learn. Man.
He's hard on himself.
Speaker 10 (10:18):
And I tell himself, you know, I tell him sometimes
you got to give him grace and he's like, you know,
you know, excuse my lands.
Speaker 7 (10:23):
He's like, fuck that, man. I'm like and and it's
good to see man, because.
Speaker 10 (10:27):
You know, you know, obviously we come from two different
types of football, you know, not saying that I'm older
than anything like that, but uh, just to be able
to see that that attitude.
Speaker 7 (10:35):
An aggression and get better. Man, every day. You know,
it makes me want to come in every day and
get better.
Speaker 10 (10:39):
And so when you when you got somebody like that's
pushing you on the opposite end, man, that's when you
become bookings.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Thank you your impression of playing for the first time
and the way.
Speaker 7 (10:50):
He kind of keeps you guys under Yeah.
Speaker 10 (10:52):
Man, I've been getting a lot of heat in the
locker room because God has been saying I've been blocking
him all my life, all my career, which is not fair.
Speaker 7 (10:58):
But uh, I think when you got a guy that's
played at.
Speaker 10 (11:00):
A high level, he won some Super Bowls and got
it out the mud, right, you have a certain respect
for him.
Speaker 7 (11:06):
And I think that's what you see out.
Speaker 10 (11:08):
There when you see a coach out there holding pads
and getting blasted every day, and he's not complaining and
he's not moaning about it.
Speaker 7 (11:13):
He's just like, hey, next man up.
Speaker 10 (11:14):
Mentality that makes everybody come and respect that that level
of you know, attitude and his gratitude. You know, just
to have a coach out there that you can go
out there and do those things with him.
Speaker 7 (11:23):
Man.
Speaker 10 (11:23):
So when it turns on a Sunday, when it's important
in between the lines, man that that extra it that
you got to have on four for one or third down.
That's where it comes from, because you got a god
that that that's done it, you know, the right way,
and on a coaching level, and and and as a player,
so you see it done every day.
Speaker 7 (11:38):
You get to see that every day. Yep, the problem
you welcome, stay.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Over there, stay over there.
Speaker 9 (11:46):
What's up to? How you doing well?
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Man?
Speaker 9 (11:48):
What's up? Evan?
Speaker 11 (11:50):
Well?
Speaker 4 (11:51):
Good question?
Speaker 8 (11:52):
Yes, there are a dozen guys on the ninety one.
Speaker 11 (11:57):
Yeah, what's six pots to do with?
Speaker 4 (12:02):
What's the competition like right now? Can you describe it?
Speaker 12 (12:05):
It's actually awesome. I think it's better than it's ever
been from my experience being here, and I'm really enjoying it.
Speaker 11 (12:11):
Man.
Speaker 12 (12:11):
You know, you love to have challenge, You love the
environment of competition. It really brings the best out of you.
So I think it's just every man against himself, you
know what I'm saying, ain't even against each other. It's
a crazy like dynamic in a sense. But if we
can have that mindset of all focusing on ourselves, you know,
challenging ourselves, beating ourselves every day, I think the car's
(12:32):
gonna play out how they play out. So I don't
have any preditions. I'm just you know, doing what I'm
supposed to do. And I think the room needs to
have that mindset.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
When you look at.
Speaker 11 (12:40):
Last year's team coming in at this point, it was
AKJ you were hurt Jon to Mario. Yeah, I'm not
saying it's between the between the experience of that experience here, it's.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
Kind of the same change between yeah.
Speaker 12 (13:01):
Yeah, I think it's unique. And that's the challenge, you
know what I'm saying. So as a group, we need
to take that challenge. You know, look at it that way,
like it's not gonna be given. You have to earn everything.
And even for myself, you know what I'm saying, I
don't seniority or whatever you want to call it, that presence,
it doesn't matter, you know what I'm saying. I gotta
practice hard, I gotta show up in preseason whatever that
looks like. Being with Ravees, you know, my first experience
(13:22):
with Rapes, so I'm learning how he operates, how he
does things, and adjusting, adapting. I think that's what we
need to do as a group. So not looking outside,
but looking more internally.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
What excites you much?
Speaker 9 (13:34):
I think the potential Josh.
Speaker 12 (13:36):
You know, obviously I have experience with Josh and my
first year the way we were spreading the ball around
was really exciting. You know, you can be on the
bench and have a role coming in the game. It's
Josh knows how to put it together. So there's a
bigger picture that you have to look at rather than
right now. You maybe not getting a lot of reps,
but the player that you do go in the three plays,
how do you make them count? Because those can be
(13:58):
plays that change the game. So just that's my advice
to the whole room as a sense, just having experience
with Josh, that moment.
Speaker 9 (14:05):
Will come and are you gonna be ready or are
you not?
Speaker 4 (14:07):
Along those lies? How familiar does it feel being back
at Josh.
Speaker 9 (14:10):
Yeah, No, it's awesome. Like I'm just very comfortable in it.
Speaker 12 (14:13):
It's it's I think, but I know what to expect
in a sense like it's it's just awesome. It I
have like a lot of peace with it, you know
what I'm saying. Like everything I went through last year
with the a cl just trying to get back kind
of being sloppy getting out there, not having Oka, not
having training camp and having those now, like in it
now and then having Josh, it.
Speaker 9 (14:33):
Just gives me a peace of mind. So I'm playing free.
I feel good, guys.
Speaker 12 (14:39):
Uh huh, Yeah, that's a great question, just focusing.
Speaker 9 (14:44):
You know, it's it's tough.
Speaker 12 (14:45):
When I remember when I first was in it, I
was struggling just terminology, different things. You know, it's tough.
It's new, it's unique, it's like it's its own offense.
So it's definitely just new. So it's just about studying
as hard as they can, putting the time in walk
throughs and things like that so you can come out
here and execute. You know, you don't want your first
rep to be when you go full speed, so as
(15:05):
you go through studies and go through walkthroughs, those should
be extra reps. So when we come out here in
front of you guys, you know, it looks all good.
Speaker 4 (15:11):
And what's different about.
Speaker 12 (15:18):
Yeah, I think it's pretty similar, but it's it's new
staff around Josh that I knew around too, So I
think he's just jelling with other staff members that you know,
with raids, jelling it all together. So I think that's
the difference for me, is he's a he's with different
coaches than I experience in twenty one is it's dope
to see man and uh, I think I think we're
evolving quick.
Speaker 9 (15:39):
You know what I'm saying. The environment has been dope.
Speaker 12 (15:41):
I think we're seeing his vision and I think that
when that connects as from coach to player, we have
good practices.
Speaker 11 (15:49):
Tweaks to the different digs. Yeah, yeah, the guys who
have that quick disinterior to Mario.
Speaker 12 (16:00):
Yes, No, it's it's crazy. It's a different dynamic. And
you know, Diggs being here, just his presence itself does wonders,
you know what I'm saying for all of us, and
like he he causes attention without even you know what
I'm saying, just his body of work, which is great
after Chise, I'm a young guy trying to work his
way up. Just having that energy in the building and
(16:22):
the room is dope. Pop just being who he is,
you know, dynamic, great at one on one and that's
where Josh is powerful. You know, he could punch and
play us all and uh, I can't wait to see
it come about. You know, we're getting glimpses of it,
but we're still working through it. But that's what's exciting.
Speaker 9 (16:38):
About it.
Speaker 12 (16:38):
He knows our strengths, he knows where to put us,
and that's going to have us all be successful.
Speaker 11 (16:43):
Talk about sort of simplification of Josh's offense, because as
you know, the language can be.
Speaker 9 (16:48):
It's long. It was a long a lot of years ago.
Comebout Have you noticed that? Has it been a little bline? Honestly, No,
I think it's pretty similar. Like I was saying Andrew,
it's it's his system.
Speaker 12 (17:00):
He knows that he's sticking to what he knows, and
it's about us learning, like I said, what he wants
us to do specifically, and Josh is very detailed, so fundamentals,
details and.
Speaker 9 (17:10):
All those little things. It's Football's football, you know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 12 (17:13):
So how can we play better with better technique than
the guy in front of us? And I think that's
what he emphasizes more, which you know he struggled with.
Speaker 7 (17:21):
In the past.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
That's what.
Speaker 7 (17:24):
Tim more.
Speaker 9 (17:28):
The worse.
Speaker 12 (17:30):
No, that's a great We talk about him all the time. Man,
it's freaking impressive. I just from my experience, I was
just like bro, I wasn't even close to that.
Speaker 9 (17:38):
And it's just.
Speaker 12 (17:40):
It's honor to see, like I'll be talking about Adrian
petersoning and when he came back from his aco in
the past, and he was just explosive, and I just
be teasing, like, hey man, you're looking good and looking
like you find to have like an ap kind of
year from it, and he's just you know, he'd be
laughing and joking, but he's worked hard and you can
see the results in that.
Speaker 7 (17:56):
Last question is sometimes, uh, what is today the ball
is coming out?
Speaker 12 (18:07):
Honestly, don't really don't even know, like you know what
I'm saying that might sound bad, but just going through
practice like it probably was at first down there.
Speaker 9 (18:15):
I'm not sure, but that's kind of what it is.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 12 (18:19):
Thanks good, feel real good for real good, feel better
when win pads.
Speaker 8 (18:27):
Though, Let's see feeling amongst the group that.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
You take this.
Speaker 6 (18:36):
Like we're just buying the you know, getting to know
each other, getting to see how you want us to play,
and then you know, practicing to that. You know, everyone's hungry,
but right now it's still too early wearing shorts and
helmets right now, so you know, but it's just a
little things coming together, learning the system, building that conditioning
things like that.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
You're a veteran leader.
Speaker 8 (18:58):
To establish what he wants all the way Williams all
the way down.
Speaker 6 (19:03):
Well, that's I think that's one on the uh, one
of the veterans to do that beat that bridge from
the coaches, you know, to the younger players. We've been
around seeing a lot of football, been in a lot
of systems, know how things work, know what works and
what doesn't work, and you know, know how to stick around.
So you know, I pride myself on being that guy,
you know, to help the guys, help the younger guys.
You see things how they want them to see it,
(19:24):
things like that, but the young guys do a good
job of buying it. You know, it's pretty easy with
this group.
Speaker 8 (19:30):
Oh, it's tremendous.
Speaker 6 (19:31):
You know, he was checking in on us, you know
by FaceTime or zoom.
Speaker 7 (19:36):
But you know, it's just glad.
Speaker 6 (19:38):
To have his presence, you know, his intensity, you know,
cracking jokes, you know, making the you know, the meeting
room a little lively, you know, because you need that
in camp.
Speaker 7 (19:53):
M hm.
Speaker 10 (19:56):
M hm.
Speaker 6 (19:58):
Well, no one likes to lose. You know, we're not
trying to you know all long, what happened in the
years prior. Know, we're here right now with a wonderful
opportunity in front of us. You know, we got a
lot of guys that see the game, you know the
same way. You know, you just got to buy into that.
You know, put the work in, and what you put
in you'll get.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
Out the guys. How much that team for you guys.
Speaker 6 (20:24):
I mean, you know, we're gonna do what we gotta do,
you know the way we have to do it. I'm
not gonna sit and talk, you know about a game
or whatever. But you know, we got a lot of
guys that have a lot of ability to play a
bunch of different places and make players on the ball
and in the run game. So gonna play our guys,
our strengths, play together, communicate and you know, good things
should happen for us.
Speaker 7 (20:49):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (20:49):
You know, it's it's still early early stages of camp.
You know, we still have a bunch of installs to go.
But it's good to get some pressure back there. You know,
it's good to run around, you know, put the hell
back on things like that. But once the pass come on,
that will be the real tell tale.
Speaker 7 (21:08):
I keep telling him to take that take that five off.
Speaker 6 (21:12):
You're not tough enough, but he told me to go
go check in on the Patriots all the thame. So
it's not I can say to come back from that. Absolutely, absolutely,
you know, just the questions he asked. Make sure guys
are taking notes. They might ask you a question from
something from OTAs that you know, we're professionals, so you're
entitled to remember that. You know, Just things like that,
(21:33):
being hard on you, coaching your heart, keeping the standard
to standard, you know, not not too many pets on
the back, just you know, how how you can get better.
Speaker 9 (21:39):
At doing things.
Speaker 6 (21:43):
Yeah, just passing anytime you see it, anytime you see raise,
be ready to answer a question.
Speaker 9 (21:47):
You know, that's my mindset. Now I ain't got me
yet for m hm.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Sure. How important is this this summer practices?
Speaker 6 (22:05):
Absolutely, it's always it's always important to get a good
start and regardless, but especially going into a new system,
you know, new coaches, geling together, getting on the same
page is always good.
Speaker 9 (22:15):
To get the ball rolling early.
Speaker 6 (22:19):
Cool.
Speaker 13 (22:21):
Hello, Hello, how do you feel? I feel great? How
do you feel feel great? We are good? We happy
to be a.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
Yeah, it's that feeling amongst you guys.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Yeah, yeah, very Mitchell. Were just ready to go, ready
to put the pads on. The last couple of years,
the talking around the offensive.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Line, the performance wasn't up them motivated or even yourself.
Speaker 13 (22:47):
It's a new year. It's a new year, so we're
excited about this year. We're ready to be ready to
put the pads on, ready lift paths. We were talking
how different football football? You know, it's really nothing different.
You know, just going to work.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
How do you change?
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Are you saying like my opponent.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Or like how you yourself?
Speaker 1 (23:06):
How you're doing out there?
Speaker 13 (23:07):
It's all self individual, you know, listening to the coaches
and seeing what they're telling you. The improve on whether
it's technique, you know, obviously now we're harping on technique
and speed. So when we put the pads on, it's
a second thought. You know, you're just running off the
ball and running through the guy offensive for sure, other.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
Coaches you have, how does he make.
Speaker 13 (23:29):
I'm not gonna compare him, but Doug is a you know,
old school coach. He kind of let's just just play
and uh. It's a lot of experience in the room.
So we all just feeding off each other and just
really taking into the field.
Speaker 4 (23:37):
There's a lot of new faces in your room.
Speaker 13 (23:42):
The group has been good. Like I said, it's a
lot of experience in the room. Really, the young guys
are I think they're really good. Everybody can really play,
and uh, everybody has had a good spring, so I'm
excited to watch them play. Like Jared is doing good,
you know, smart guy self, guy, really athletics, so you
know I'm out to see him play.
Speaker 9 (24:01):
Seems like.
Speaker 13 (24:04):
For sure, for sure, yeah, exactly exactly. We uh we
uh give and take, so you know, whether it's me
and him on the line, or whether it's like me
and Trey, or whether whether in Trey's attackle or sitting
out the guard. You know, we all just pour out
and give our knowledge and try to reach that to
the youth.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
How does help you really?
Speaker 13 (24:26):
Just seeing things, whether how we see things together or
just individually in my tackle, looking at defenses, looking at rotations.
You know, we're just in our stands, just talking and
making sure we're on the same page, moving around.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
I play ball wherever they mean me.
Speaker 13 (24:43):
I'm theres What has been my early impression of Will?
Speaker 7 (24:50):
Will's good.
Speaker 13 (24:50):
It was a good athlete, smooth feet, really good player, smart,
So you know he's gonna go out there and ball
it's been quiet there, y'all do yeah, all right, okay,
I got you?
Speaker 7 (25:04):
All right, y'all have a good day.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
Man. What good does it feel for you to be
back out here?
Speaker 8 (25:09):
It's a blessing?
Speaker 3 (25:10):
Man.
Speaker 8 (25:10):
I feel really good, man. I don't feel back to myself,
feel back to normals.
Speaker 7 (25:13):
Really happy man.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (25:14):
How long did that take?
Speaker 4 (25:15):
When did it happen to you? You feel like?
Speaker 8 (25:19):
Really?
Speaker 14 (25:19):
Manages about working hard every day? You know, I'm never
missing no days, and just keep working hard, just keep on,
just just keep on working.
Speaker 5 (25:27):
You're working side, How would you describe?
Speaker 8 (25:32):
You say, what you're working.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
Feels like? How did you describe the plan.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
That I'm following?
Speaker 14 (25:39):
All the good plans for the coaching coaches have the
best for me. So I'm doing everything the coaches want
me to do. And I'm again, I'm really just doing
real good work and just following everything coach is doing.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
What just what does winning mean?
Speaker 10 (25:50):
Do you?
Speaker 8 (25:51):
What's going on here?
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Years?
Speaker 1 (25:53):
How important is that the bottom line is getting the
winning eat?
Speaker 7 (25:57):
Really?
Speaker 14 (25:57):
Man, just come in and tack the every day, you know,
come in every day just to win, you know, especially
no Deefen defense win championships.
Speaker 8 (26:03):
You know, everybody talk about that.
Speaker 14 (26:04):
Really just want to you know, be one one to
just keep dominating defense and I really just keep having
a good day on defense, keep going winning, Let's go going.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
Just think about starting week one? You still.
Speaker 14 (26:18):
Yeah, I'm fine, Yeah, I'm still yeah. Everything fine? Yeah,
considering what you went through?
Speaker 4 (26:23):
What does it mean to you to be out here
and started training? Considering what you went through last year?
Speaker 14 (26:28):
What does it mean to you to right now really
just have a lot of supporters, you know the best.
You don't have medical status. Jimbo, you know, listen to
his brule, listen to him and helped me out every day,
you know, listening to all the good coaches and all
they have trainings. Helped me out where I am today.
You know, I'll come through by myself. I had good
people with me, had God with me, and had the
good had a right team with me and helped me up.
Speaker 8 (26:46):
Feel me right back? Are I supposed to be? Oh?
Speaker 7 (26:51):
Yeah? You see that?
Speaker 10 (26:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (26:55):
Really?
Speaker 14 (26:55):
Men, just doing a lot of condition, a lot of
running man, a lot of core workouts and all that.
Speaker 8 (26:59):
You know, just working hard. Will coach friend too.
Speaker 14 (27:01):
You know what I'm saying, have a good plan for
me and just keep on really just having me in
the best shape as possible. You know these you know,
these coaches and the coaches I have, and the medical
staff and just really good people helping me put me
the best possibly shape by supposed to be in.
Speaker 8 (27:13):
And I'm really grateful for that help. You you said,
what do you think that's gonna help you?
Speaker 1 (27:17):
The new defense?
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Was that your decision decision?
Speaker 14 (27:20):
What's called Really it's all about you know, as a
man's my decision and a decision following these rules to
you know what I'm saying, it's you know what I mean,
following everybody rule.
Speaker 8 (27:27):
Yeah, it's my job to.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
Boxing doing anything.
Speaker 14 (27:41):
Really just doing like more like ladder drills and feet
word drills and more just like how can I say,
just more conditioning while you know, track and I'm doing
a lot of more like flex being on the hurdles
and stuff like that. But yeah, doing like more core
workout stuff.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Did you have a number in mind that you wanted
to get to in terms of your way to start camera? Really?
Speaker 14 (27:57):
Yeah, well, you know around probably three or five or
three hundred.
Speaker 8 (28:01):
That's really my way. That's where I want to be at.
Speaker 14 (28:02):
Yeah, you feel faster, I feel Yeah, I feel real better,
you know, I feel so faster, feel lighter, and just
feel way quicker, and I feel like I moved way better.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
You know.
Speaker 14 (28:09):
It's a better of a move I felt since I've
been in the league. I feel like so I feel
really well, Christ.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
What did you pay two years ago?
Speaker 8 (28:15):
Two years ago? I was three twenty three fifteen?
Speaker 14 (28:18):
You know, usually run that, yeah, because like you know, Nicole,
you're gonna gain a little weight, especially about like around
three twenty three twenty five.
Speaker 7 (28:24):
Yeah, I know, yeah, yeah, sure, you know your call.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
And you know something that they I guess.
Speaker 14 (28:33):
It's that some sort of influenceat well, really just about
being motivated, you know, really because I know I want
to be the best player I can be for this team,
and be the best player I could be for this defense,
you know what I'm saying. So I just you know,
I want to come in here and show the lead
and show you show that you know, like I really
like you know, I love doing this. You know you
gotta love this stuff, you know what I'm saying. And
I love it, you know what I'm saying. So I
told myself when I mean, when I maybe the best
thing as possible as I can and being you know,
(28:54):
really just being a better shap than be the better
shape ever I've been.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
Is there anything to the fact that it.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Might allow you to do things that they're asking you to
do in this scheme specifically, like are they are they
looking for lighter guys that's opposed the defenses you've played
in the past, where you know, if they're asking you
too gap a little bit more, help you to be
a little bit bigger.
Speaker 14 (29:14):
I'm just doing everything the coach want me to do. Man, Really,
that's the you know, that's the wrong the conditioning.
Speaker 8 (29:19):
To day that you were doing teams?
Speaker 4 (29:22):
Was that or are you dealing with something new? Is
that really you into last year? Just like why I'm
working out there? Team?
Speaker 8 (29:28):
God taught the coach about that. Man, it's all coaches, yeah, Christian.
Speaker 4 (29:31):
What about the kitchen? Did you do anything?
Speaker 8 (29:34):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (29:34):
Yeah, man? Real different?
Speaker 14 (29:35):
You know what I'm saying, have the right different. You know,
I eat a lot of you know, protein cars. You
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 8 (29:39):
Definitely each eat your veggies.
Speaker 7 (29:41):
You hear me?
Speaker 8 (29:42):
So yeah, yeah, wake.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
Up feeling grateful?
Speaker 8 (29:46):
Like what are your emotions every single days?
Speaker 4 (29:48):
You?
Speaker 8 (29:49):
Oh yeah, man, I feel like you know, being grateful
to God every day.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Man.
Speaker 14 (29:52):
Happy you know, just you know, happy to be where
I'm at, you know what I'm saying, because I want
to do a lot, and it's like where I am
in the day, I just ain't God every day for
you know, especially supporters that he me who I am today.
And I just think, you know, thank God every day
for it, you know.
Speaker 8 (30:03):
Yeah, And what excites you about this this defense? Let's
talk you about this defense just every day.
Speaker 14 (30:08):
Man.
Speaker 8 (30:08):
You know, the energy got a lot. I got a
lot of.
Speaker 14 (30:11):
Dogs on this field. So it's just like, you know,
just I just love it, if you know what I'm saying.
Just everybody energy is just loves high and I love
it how much? How much?
Speaker 7 (30:21):
Men know?
Speaker 14 (30:22):
You know, he always telling me. You know, it's like
it's called really just you know, it's all about dominate front.
You know, that's all we talk about. You know, it's
lead on us, you know, especially the whole D line
and our linebackers and d n's everybody. You know what
I'm saying, The front play good. Everybody played good. So
that's the goal every time we on that field, we
gotta dominate. That's our goal.
Speaker 7 (30:37):
Question find a question.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
What you going through over the last year.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
Well, is there any specific person you talk to the
process of getting.
Speaker 4 (30:48):
Back dealing with it?
Speaker 14 (30:53):
Really just talk to talk to my trainer, man Jimbo.
You know what I'm saying, the best training in the NFL.
So really talked to my train every day. He don't
want I talked to. It to my need to talk
to and I follow his rules.
Speaker 8 (31:02):
Yeah, thank you very much, Christ, thank you.
Speaker 11 (31:05):
I
