Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's like you just drop a bit.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Stands out in the Obviously they got some stars up front,
they're active in the back end, they fly around real
well coach defense. I think you can obviously see it
jumps off at the tape that it's gonna be Uh,
it's a new challenge for us. So yeah, any number
one ranked defense in the league kind of speaks for itself.
If you watch the tape a little bit, you see, Uh,
it's gonna be good. It's gonna be big for us

(00:23):
to be on the details, you know, be open.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
What's a lot of Drake to be so pipper at
this season?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I think you gotta ask him for her for I
don't really know how it is paying quarterback, but uh,
I don't know from from.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Your from your standpoint is how is it you know,
the with the rate of what she does when passes.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Two years, I think just I mean talent level obviously,
and then just being well coached as far as like
with the timing of everything being on this drop, uh,
you know, poison the pocket stuff that I like see
from a distance, But I don't know too much about. Uh,
I'm too busy trying to run routter when I see
it on tape. It seems like he's in a good
space and uh, he's playing at a high level and

(01:01):
he's going ahead it. You know, he's just keeping this
cool and he's not getting too rid of Even when
things kind of gets shaky, he takes and he got
He got some legs on him too.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
He can run around a little bit too and create something.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
I think I think that stuff onowing up in the
first question, you just said, so how much do you
get up for a game like that when you know
it's the best.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Defense in the league and and what you guys can do.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
I mean, it's I don't think it's something that you
gotta get up for every game, you know. I don't
think it's like, uh, it's no different from any other
week as far as like being on the details. It's
not like something that they all count as one and
you're trying to win it us.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
I feel like it's just more so like a team before,
as though.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
You gotta be on the details and uh, not too
much like getting up for You better be up for it,
you know, or it's gonna go and it's gonna go
in another direction. You know, I'm gonna be excited and
I'm gonna have the want two like I have each
and every each. If you've seen over the years that
you've played, how does a team keep its focus strong
like that mentally week to week?

Speaker 4 (01:51):
You know where is learn win lose just being that
same team.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Just don't attach yourself to the results. You know the
results are gonna be the results. You know, we piece
to this team. You know, try to play complimentary football,
playing good offense. You know it means that you know
you're doing your part. So just don't drink a kool
aid and take each week when we get a time
you know, uh, last week is in the past. Now
we got a big challenge in front of us.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
So you know, just focus on each week one of
the time.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
How would that design to take some important teams to
find such a big leadership roll, you know, just in general,
but also just in your your receiver.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
That uh, I mean, I've I was brought here to
do that. You know, I'm one of the older receivers
in the room. I think me and mac uh try
Bessett do do what we can as far as like
having that experience and you know, providing what wisdom and
experience that we do have to the young players.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
They're a hell of our players.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Those guys can make plays and they got it all
figured out. You know, I feel like, uh, we're just
a small piece of the puzzle. As far as with
their with their success and hear them in the right mindset,
we wanna see guys come a lot. Goanna see guys
you know, have a lot of success of As far
as like being a leader, it's just part of the job.
For I mean, at this point of my career, I
expect that from myself, and you know, I'm I'm pushing
Mack each and every day.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Mac is pushing me. You know, being the older guys
doesn't mean that you can't leave.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
So you know, the young guys lead to I feel
like they said example, as far as like building that
uh you know that healthy competition, eaching every day, they
want to just as bad as we do.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
You've talked about drinking the kool aid and how this
team has handled success. Can success at times be kind
of a poison in that, you know, you start to
anticipate results as opposed to dictating those results, And how
do you.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Handle that and not drink the kool aid? What is
your message on there. I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
I think you shouldn't expect success, Like if you don't
work hard all week, you shouldn't expect success. If you
don't prepare the right way, you won't expect success, like
I mean, I'm pretty sure we I mean, everybody right
here has went to school. If you study for a test,
you didn't go anythinking I was gonna fail. You know,
you didn't go anything and like I won't do well
in this test or be apprehensive about it. If you
studied it and you did exactly what you needed to,
you prepare the right way, you expected success. I mean,

(03:43):
that's what brees success to me, not rolling the dice.
This is not gamma, you know what I'm saying, Like
you don't know if it's not a fifty to fifty chances,
you put the effort in and attach yourself to the
process and what has got us good results.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
So that's what it is.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I mean as far as like, I don't think success
is like poison in anyway. I think it's as if
anything gets more hungry and be more successful, you wanna
wanna win, and you wanna win more, and you you
know what it takes to win.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
So Steph, what are the things that Jason Cordy said
the broadcast or is there too excellent when it comes
to there's late hands or make technical standpoints? What does
that mean for a wide receiver? How was How important
does it that leave?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I just think you got different dbs that play different ways.
Some guys play through their hands play, some guys play
through the odds, play what they see, uh, and practice
is kind of a really easier cause they can't see
their eyes. But in the game, uh, guys who play
anticipation or play.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Through their hands, which majority of dbs do.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Just because if you're in trail, you're playing catch techneque
uh catching up to a receiver, it's all relatively close.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Everybody's pretty much the same. You speed, unless you're blazing
fast and.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Running by everybody, but uh being able to react late,
you know, and you gotta have it half a decent
quarterback for her for us. So you know, I just
I'm just doing my job. I've been doing that for
a while, so I don't think too much of it.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
What's the formula for winning at home?

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Protect the house?

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I guess you know, people come in with the right mind,
they gonna come in the right mindset of wanting to
fly around, wanting to make plays, and you gotta be
on the details.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Winning at home, winning on the road.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
We've been road warriors for weeks now, you know, trying
to get back to the crib of your back and
in front of our home crowd and give him something
to be proud of, you know, playing for that name
on the back of your jersey and in front of
your jersey.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
So it gets pretty exciting there.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
You know, building that energy at home is gonna be huge,
you know, going into the later part of the season,
So trying to stack some wins here is gonna be
a huge Rushing the area.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
You're coming up on a year and now with your leage,
how are you feeling?

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Is it just I'm cool? What's he? Thank you?

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Drake's accuracy, he has been obsolutely key, but also his
decision making. What have you noticed in that area and
how many different types of throwers you know, you see
him make kind of a consistent basis and make quality decisions.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I don't know, you just see him out here throwing
the ball. I'm saying, don't I mean, I don't get
in that. I guess side on him or I don't
know nothing about how he throws the ball. I just
know he does his job, and he does it. He's
he's doing exceptionally well right now. You know that's what
I do. And now I feel like the biggest thing
of part of his game right now that he's doing
well is.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
He's throwing it to the open moon. He's finding the
open Guys, you.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
See everybody catching the past, everybody contributing, and it plays
out there. You know, you kind of watched the tape
like this's more out there for us, So he had
to damn near a perfect day, and to think somebody
almost had a perfect day and it was more players
out there for us. We still got a lot of
growing and going to do something. I feel like he's
just going to the open man. It's easier said than done.
But if you watch the tape, he's doing an exceptional drag.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah, as a receiver, how easier said than done? How
nice is that? Knowing that any time he's just looking
for that open man. I feel like you got being
your job, Like.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Can't be out there running your route hat or you
can't be just because you just never know when it's
your opportunity. You never know when he's looking at you.
You know, quarterbacks see it from a differ vantage point.
You might see it covers a certain kind of way,
but don't be out there because Drake might find you.
And one follow up to that is you seem to
be the guy on like third down, especially third and whatever.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
You seem to be like a guy that's consistent with
it as the year goes on, is they.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
See tape and what have you? How much harder is
that for.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
You to get to that consistency because.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
They're all looking for you to get I wouldn't say
that just because.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
I've been productive on third down. I've been productive on
first and second down. Like we got a lot of
guys that's making a lot of players. I mean the
moment that they put a little bit extra attention on me.
You see Pop Douglas, you see Kashawan Boodie, you see
Matt Collins, you see.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Might see some k doub You never know. So I don't.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
I don't think about it too much of when it's
my time to get somebody else open, or you know,
or the rock concept causes for me to get somebody.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Over, I'm gonna do my job. I don't really think
about it too much.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
But my job is to try to just be open.
You know, when I am open, catch the ball. And
if I'm not open, hopefully somebody else is. But I'm
pretty sure he'll find out your stuf.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
You guys have played very well as the team, as
the defense, but most of the season you have.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
That first second series. What's the conversation amongst you guys
about coming off.

Speaker 6 (07:45):
Maybe to the fastest start on d It's something that
we emphasize in every day and we gotta figure it out.
There's no excuse behind it.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
We gotta figure out why is it?

Speaker 6 (07:55):
Why is it happening every day that we step on
it on the field throughout the we leading up this Sunday,
we're approach with that mindset to start off hot and
finish strong as well.

Speaker 7 (08:03):
First NFL touchdown?

Speaker 5 (08:04):
What your emotions to that spot?

Speaker 4 (08:06):
It was dope? It was dope.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
It having so quick, Uh, the guys making fun of
me about just running eve and past things on Uh,
Damian alty back of it. So yeah, exciting moment men
saw the flag, Still kind of got nervous a little bit,
but once I knew that it was h it was
on our side, So pretty lown a pretty dope moment.
Couldn't really tell you all the emotions and the thoughts
that I was running through my head.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Yeah, obviously we had to go back out there at
getting though. So do you have what's a lot of
you guys do you so good against?

Speaker 5 (08:31):
So long?

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Like you're pretty much at the top or near the
top of pretty much every metric when it comes to
run defense.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
It's a mindset that'sh it.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Don't let the guy with the ball grow run sou
and I think we all kind of share that mindset
on defense. Man, we all take part in having a
good run defense. And if any other way that we
all we allowed ourselves to get bid, it won't be
through the ground for sure.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
How much grief did you did? You just mentioned the touchdown?
How much grief did you take for not having a
pre playing touchdown? Separate?

Speaker 6 (08:55):
No, I got I get a little bit, especially obviously
the guys make fun me a little bit and not
having a SAX celebration as well, so me kind of
just all over to each other. The man, I got
it at home, it's all like that. I'm ready to
send it to my mom. Man, lock it up and
keep it safe.

Speaker 7 (09:09):
For me.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Did you get many texts and everything else after the game?

Speaker 6 (09:11):
Oh? Yeah, phone was crazy. Phone was crazy. That was
pretty dug to see that much love coming through.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Is there a reason you don't have a sax sporgeon.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
That I'll just be too excited in the moment, Man,
I don't have anything pre playing, bro. It just be
dope excited to get you, yell and scream out, get
you a couple of words in and get back to
the sideline.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Are you working on it now?

Speaker 5 (09:27):
Nah?

Speaker 4 (09:28):
I'm six years in bro, That's what it is. So
how about O God, sorry you get this award this week?

Speaker 3 (09:35):
You were a first round picked years ago, have experience
on a few different teams now kind.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Of got us around a little bit. But do you
feel like this year.

Speaker 7 (09:42):
You're sort of showing that's who you are as a
player for for the first time, like on a consistent basis.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
Yet I believe so. I believe it's showing like that
on the film. Excited for just the opportunity in general.
You got to make the best of every opportunity that
you get on the field. So I'm excited to be
able to do that with with my brothers and with
my tea. He makes them be able to be comfortable
and excel within the other guys, the other ten guys
on the field.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
What's gonna take to make this place a tough place
for teams to come into play?

Speaker 6 (10:08):
Continue to win at home? Man, get the home crowd
behind us, and that's just gonna make thing.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
Man.

Speaker 6 (10:12):
We dropped a couple at home earlier this year. So
the more we can get these home wins in and
we can get the home stadium in the home crowd
behind us, man, it'll be tough to sure.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Okay, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 8 (10:22):
A couple of road wins together. I mean, this is
what you want to do. You wanna put some wins together.
So it's been nice to win, but we gotta keep
stacking it.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
How about at home?

Speaker 5 (10:31):
What's the what's the key to playing well consistently? At
im the same thing as playing on the road.

Speaker 8 (10:37):
I mean, it's just going out there and executing our
keys and doing what we gotta do. I'm excited for
this game. Your leg gonna be rocking. It's been a
while since we've been back, so I'm excited.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
And how about your defense. You're doing a lot of
things well, but those first or second series.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
How do you how do you kind of fix that?

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Uh and get get things right there?

Speaker 5 (10:53):
Yeah, we just gonna start faster, that's all it is.

Speaker 8 (10:55):
Just start faster and come out the gate swinging and
and we'll fix that.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
What kind of challenges to the Cleveland offense percent?

Speaker 5 (11:02):
I guess Judkins anytime he touches the ball looks like
he could take off.

Speaker 8 (11:05):
Yeah, he's been, he's been looking real good. And he
just came in and did his thing. You know, Dylan
dealing over there. He's he's he's making plays, he's has
no turnovers. So I mean that's you know, we want
to get the ball off of him. And they got receivers.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
They they gotta they gotta go.

Speaker 8 (11:21):
I got a lot of good skill players over there,
So there's gonna be a challenge for us, but we're
sack for it.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
And personally, how do you feel you feel like you're
getting in a rhythm now as you're getting the games, uh,
games in in the diamond. Yeah, I'm good. I'm good.
As like I said earlier, it's football.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
What kind of background do you have an?

Speaker 1 (11:35):
I know you got a rad.

Speaker 8 (11:36):
Uh, not too much. I wasn't there with him.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
He was he came right. I think after I had
left or something. I don't know. We we didn't really
overlap too much.

Speaker 8 (11:46):
I mean we've we've seen, we've we've been in a
couple same place as we've talked, but.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
I don't know super close to that.

Speaker 7 (11:54):
Yeah, kid, Okay, is there anything that makes you well?

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Yeah? I mean he does some stuff that a lot
of people can't do.

Speaker 6 (12:07):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (12:07):
But I mean he's a great player. They have a
lot of good players across the front. The backers are
playing well. They got some good dbs, so you know
that they have a really time into the group from
top to bottom.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
So you gotta be ready to go to some day.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
Question question, Will Campbell, how are you doing today? We
want to ask a question. How has it been for
the first seven weeks for you in NFL? You know
you have a great leader in Morgan Moses that shows
you the way. How's it been?

Speaker 7 (12:39):
I mean I think you kind of set it for me.
Whenever you have someone as great as Morgan Moses around life,
it's just butterflies and rainbows every day.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
Question Will, is it true that you kill everything?

Speaker 1 (12:54):
I wouldn't say everything.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Thank you man, You have a good week.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
To show right, I appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
How nice is it to tell him kind of keep
the big question?

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Yeah, I mean it's good.

Speaker 7 (13:04):
I mean not only him, but I'm Bradberry Hunter and
who my guys that are next to my locker.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (13:11):
They played a lot of football in this league, heard
a lot of stuff that I.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Hadn't been exposed to.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
So they've been not only really good veteran.

Speaker 7 (13:20):
Gulls when you listening to about football, but you know
stuff off the field too.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
What's your preferred like learning style? Will you ask those
guys a lot of questions? Do you just try to
watch them?

Speaker 1 (13:29):
How does it work for you have more hands on
I like to do something. I need to do something
before I can get comfortable doing it. I don't really
you know.

Speaker 7 (13:38):
I can watch someone like Morgan, but you know, guys
play different, so not everything he does I can do
and feel comfortable to doing.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
I'm nicely to continue winning, but also knowing you have
things to clean up as a group.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
There's an offensive night.

Speaker 7 (13:52):
Yeah, I mean the whole You know, that's the great
thing about this sport. Whenever you can win and still
feel like you have the in my room to get better.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Uh, you know that's a good feeling.

Speaker 7 (14:04):
But you know, you just keep trying to push forward
every single week to try to put your best foot
forward and clean up any mistakes that can get the
us to day and how do.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
You build up what you did Sunday with a running
game and continue what you were ever.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
To because just practice, having a week of preparation. You know, everything.

Speaker 7 (14:21):
Starts, you know with the preparation because you're going to
practice how you I mean you're gonna play how you
have practice that week. So you know that's that's really
everything for us.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
Well, it's only seven weeks profession years, but it feels
like it's gone well for you.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
You've been out there for every game.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Is there any part of you that feels as though
you've proved some people wrong? You were asked a lot
of questions before the draft.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
About your length and your position and all that sort
of stuff. Do you feel like you've shown those people
that you could play left tackle.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
On a high level.

Speaker 7 (14:53):
I mean, if you want me to be completely honest
with you, I was never trying to prove them right.

Speaker 5 (14:57):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (14:58):
I know that I was chosen here for a reason.
Uh So it was never really about proving anybody who
said that my.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Arms were too small room.

Speaker 7 (15:08):
I was just coming here to try to help this team,
and you know, UH just want to keep continuing to
do that, uh, each and every week in any way
that I can.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
But I'm really not worried about what anybody.

Speaker 7 (15:20):
Else has to say still to really have those I mean,
it was never too early. I don't really like someone
sent in the mail of a t Rex.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
I don't know where it is.

Speaker 7 (15:30):
I would have plastic t reps to my office, but
I thought it was funny. But yeah, I mean I
never really cared. Uh, it just really wasn't relevant for me,
and it wasn't going to help me in any way possible,
Uh do what I had to do.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
Life strange though, when you get that, like what did
you first reaction when.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
You see t rex in your locker? Half? And I
read the return address. But yeah, that's about it.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Thankful
