Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's going on. How y'all doing?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Yeah, well be here?

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Good?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Is it lake?

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Uh for you to be here and uh kind of
getting things in.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Doing for yourself. Yeah, I'm super excited. Uh it's a
honor to be here. Just get things going. Uh. Getting
to meet some of my new teammates. Uh, didn't spend
time around them. Uh, it's super exciting.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
What was it like Oul dout Maroone?

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Yeah, super cool. Uh. Coach Maron he actually recruited me
in high school whenever he was at Alabama, So we've
known each other. Uh, been familiar with the way he coaches,
and you know, to be able to play for him
as something you know, I could. I can't imagine not
playing for somebody like him. So he was uha use
it defensive end there.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
I know you went up against f Agreable. What was
it like having these.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Coaches who don't mine set up with you guys and
she's getting all the fis like that?

Speaker 1 (00:45):
No, Yeah, I mean it's it's super cool to have
coaches that are hands on. Uh. It shows you how
much not only they care about you know, winning and
stuff like that, but shows how much they care about
you and you know, your production and things like that.
So it's super cool.

Speaker 6 (00:58):
Will from a technical stepway, how much is new to
you what coach brohld is is teaching and installing.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Uh. You know, I'm just you know, in here every
day trying to you know, learn as much as I
can from these guys, soak up everything I can, uh,
even if it's things that I've seen or heard of
in the past. Just trying to tighten the screws down
on everything that they tell me, and just be the
best version of myself I can be to help the
team in any way. What have you been?

Speaker 7 (01:24):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
What's it like for you in the process?

Speaker 8 (01:26):
Are you able to make the mistake quickly rectify it
and and move on?

Speaker 5 (01:30):
What's thes my game for you at this point?

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah? I mean, uh, it's football. You're gonna make mistakes.

Speaker 9 (01:37):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
The team that makes the least of my oms the
team that's gonna win. Uh. So I'm just trying to
limit my mistakes, learn as much as I can, uh
from the coaches in our meetings, and you know, my
off time that way, whenever I go out on the field, uh,
that I can just play fast and free. And you
feel like it went up there today Yeah, it went awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
You know I was super, like I said, super excited
to get out there, get running around again, get back
to football.

Speaker 7 (02:01):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
We've been in a long process that's drug out. Uh
So for us to get back out there, get back
to doing the main thing is pretty cool.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
I let you describe what it's like this the last
fells to go from the hand of that long process
to begin in your career and your job.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
As a football play. Yeah, no doubt. Uh, it's definitely
a relief. Uh, but you know the work has just started.
Uh So just being able to get here, compete, meet
my new teammates, be around them, spend time around them,
build that relationship with them and the coaches is something
I was looking forward to the most.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
It's Coach Greble's message to the piece for the practice today.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Just our team identity. Uh and you know that's oh
all over the walls, uh, inside the building, and just
you live by that and that when we'll win football games.

Speaker 6 (02:47):
What is the the identity?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
I mean one of them is you know, finish and strain.
Uh finish Uh for offense, finish longer than the guy
with the ball. Defense is f tilt to the tackle.
That just means, really, in other words, just play hard.
That takes no talent at all, and that's gonna be
you know, we're gonna be a That's really what they

(03:09):
just talk about a lot.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
What you enjoyed the all standing betweenland weather.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
So, uh, it's a pretty good first day. It's probably
the coldest weather I've been in a while, so it's nice.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Is that anything surprised you up here since you've gotten
up here, I know it hasn't.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Been Moms, but about Foxborough, yeah, or it's New England
in general. Yeah, I'm surprised there's trees. Uh. Whenever before
I had never been anywhere up here before, so I
always thought, you know, this was a little bit closer
to Boston and it was a bunch of big city
buildings and stuff like that. So when I got out
here and they picked me up from the airport, I said, dang,

(03:44):
there's a lot of trees out there. I wasn't expecting that.
So I'd probably say that.

Speaker 8 (03:49):
You got to spend any.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Time whether that's yeah, it's funny, uh, very limited. Uh,
but I've been able to you know, meet 'em, meet
a few of 'em, put some names to face this.
Morgan Moses has reached out to me. You know, we
had we talked on the phone right before I came
up here, just you know, just talking, catching up, getting
to know each other.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
And that's something I'm looking forward to doing with everybody,
not just in the O line room, but uh on
the team. Just being the best teammate I can be.
It's been like working with coach Moreau. Yeah, it's been
really good. Like I said earlier, he he recruited me
in high school. Obviously I wouldn't have gone to Alabama,
but uh, I would have loved to play for him.

(04:27):
Uh So for me to be able to work with him,
it's been pretty cool. You match. You you mentioned like
Bray will mean or of hands on it.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
It seems like he's kind of like willing like stop
the play, gives you the Princeton right away or he
got right away.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
What's that like to you?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
A little?

Speaker 8 (04:40):
But I interested to apply that immediately to the next
dr you know, the next reputage or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yeah, it's pretty cool for me to experience. You know,
when I was a you know, a high school kid,
and you know, you would always see videos of him,
you know, hands on with all of his players. So
for me to be able to experience that, get that
type of coaching from my head coach, it's pretty cool.
Do you have any coaches ongoing? Yeah, we were, uh
just talking about you know, a lot of football things

(05:06):
like that, getting to know each other. Uh. I wanna
get to know him, he wants to get to know
me off the field, and that, you know, just makes
each other play better on the field.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
It is having for you to come in with.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
You helped it all with this process.

Speaker 7 (05:16):
And also what can you tell us about him as.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
KINI, Yeah, Brandon's awesome. Uh. He spent the last my
sophomore in junior year with me at LSU. He's a
guy that we counted on at LSU. Uh to be
a a you know, a good player on defense, a leader,
a guy that's gonna, you know, set the tone up
front for us. Uh. So I'm super excited for him
and for me to you know, have a familiar face. Uh,
it's pretty cool. So I'm just super excited for him

(05:39):
and you know, his family he deserves.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
It is wrong one matchup scoll, what's what's going to him?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Uh? They're awesome. Uh, we compete every day. Uh, so yeah,
it's been good.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
We'll uh off the field if you maybe gotten any
chance to explore the New England or maybe he plays
with Drake, Like, where's that fun?

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Got a happen you mentioned?

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Yeah? I mean, uh, they're out of town right now,
so it's just rookies and stuff right now. But you know,
I'm I'm worried about football right now, so we'll worry
about fun later. Uh, but just getting here, uh, getting
to know, like I said, all the rookies, all the
guys that are here right now, and you know, getting
the feel for this thing, and that's what I'm worried
about right now.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Did you do this mom?

Speaker 9 (06:14):
In these beaches?

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Something like that?

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Here Innoyland?

Speaker 1 (06:17):
It's a little cold and rainy for a beach.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
I think the picture is supposed to be a video
of you went and we're at the lighthouse looking over
the ba's Pro shop.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Have you gotten a chance to get in there yet?
I haven't. I hadn't been anywhere but here in the hotel.

Speaker 7 (06:32):
Where did the suits come from? Like all the nice
suits that you were wearing at LSU, Where where do
you got to reach the agias? They look pretty fly?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
I appreciate it. Uh yeah, I mean, uh, I wasn't
a guy that's you know, gonna get the score touchdowns
or sack the quarterback. Uh, with the NIO and stuff
like that. I wanted to market myself. Uh just put
myself out there.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
And I did that my sophomore year. And I wore
a white suit for the first game and they put
a picture of me and Joe Burrow next read to
each other and said who wore better? Cause he wore
one whenever they were playing. So it just brought me,
you know a little more exposure since you know, my
name isn't called for scoring touchdowns and sacking the quarterback
things like that. So just try to help myself out

(07:14):
a little bit. And I don't FIRS will just you.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Know, might be a little technical for first cracks for communing,
but I'm just curious, like how much three point to
see instead community at LSU.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Yeah not much. Uh, something I really keyed in on
in my pre draft process. Three points being more versatile
things like that. So to be able to get out
here get some you know, live reps. Uh, it's it's been.
It's been really good for me.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
Is that one of your focus is just to get
more accustomers. That will they ever give you the opportunity
to say, hey, they whatever you wanna do on this
particular play two point three point.

Speaker 8 (07:46):
Like, have at it.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
No, I mean we have rules things that we have
to abide by, you know, within the playbook. But you know,
whatever they tell me to do, I'm gonna do it. Uh.
Whatever they need me to do to help the team
win in any s certain way is what I'm gonna do.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Help people.

Speaker 9 (08:02):
Is everybody doing? You got over you love it, love it,
love it.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
It's it been like to a four year.

Speaker 10 (08:10):
Uh, it's been a blessing, so once in a lifetime
opportunity and I'm just taking it in day by day.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Yuh have to take a house first practice.

Speaker 10 (08:19):
Uh it was good, you know, knocking off the dust,
getting accommodated, learning the playbook, Uh, learning everybody else.

Speaker 9 (08:25):
So just trying to stack days at this point cause that.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Process been learning to playboard jury.

Speaker 8 (08:30):
If you're starting a.

Speaker 9 (08:30):
Little book, Uh it's fun. You know, different terminology.

Speaker 10 (08:34):
You know, you go from college to having one style
of it, then you come here and it's a whole
different style. So being able to adapt and learn, it's
been exciting and I'm getting used to it?

Speaker 1 (08:45):
How much? Just it?

Speaker 5 (08:45):
How you know you transferred a couple years ago and
haven't been through that process kind of in college.

Speaker 10 (08:50):
And now doing it again, you're he felt, Uh it
it's it's definitely a lot easier, just because sometimes you
gotta learn on the spot. And for me, I'm able
to learn pretty learn things pretty quickly and I'm able
to adapt in those type of situations. So going through
that project earlier in college, I feel like prepared me
for now.

Speaker 8 (09:07):
Kyle. We're we're gonna get used to you as a player.
How you run your gate down the field? Are you
a hundred percent healthy in this camp or yes?

Speaker 9 (09:15):
Oh you want?

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yes it Saw though, but I'm sorry I as she said, Saw,
I did their a couple moments certain practice stead where uh,
Josh McDaniels kind of, uh just chat with.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
You what I want, what what kinds of things doesn't part?

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Are you sharing?

Speaker 10 (09:32):
And that uh, just critiquing some things technique wise, just
making sure that I could become the best player and
the player that they want me to be in the
player that I want myself to be.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Something I like right because mcdady stuff.

Speaker 10 (09:42):
Uh, it's been a honor. You know, somebody that has
a great, great track record, somebody that knows the position
and knows the offense. So being able to be under
his wing and learn is it's something that's really special.

Speaker 8 (09:52):
We will dear said it was cold here as part
of the weather's concerned, but it was surprised where trees
and Montborough and not bill leagues like in Boston.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Just what are your impressions so far?

Speaker 10 (10:03):
Yeah, I mean you come from Pullman, Washington and you
ain't go come to Foxborough. I mean it's the same thing,
probably a little few more options, so it ain't nothing
new to me.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Now what when is then they get the biggest surprise
in the last twenty fours hours since you've been here,
joy your house south.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
From part.

Speaker 10 (10:21):
I'd say the biggest surprise. I honestly, I don't think
anything came with a surprise. I feel like everything was
explained well on my visit. UH coaches prepared me to
walk in and see what I'm expecting, So it's not
really a surprise to anything.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Oh well, if you in person a like in hour.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
He used, he very can so in terms of upping
out the videos when you're coaching all the different positions
as the big goes.

Speaker 9 (10:44):
On, I mean I love it. I mean as a player,
you love those type of things.

Speaker 10 (10:47):
That's how you know somebody just really bought into what
they're saying, and that speaks for somebody that is upholding
the standard, that wants that allows the players to follow
along and uphold the standard and buy in what you learned.

Speaker 7 (10:57):
About the difference and intention of detail with the pro
up her early versus what you did in college.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
You that's a big dalting or.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Is it kind of exciting?

Speaker 10 (11:03):
It's Uh, it's exciting, you know cause I feel like
at this position, it's a craft, it's a art, and
you gotta take uh pride in your art. So just
being able to have those little details is what's gonna
turn you from great to elite.

Speaker 9 (11:14):
So and I'm trying to be elite speaking of which.

Speaker 7 (11:17):
One of the things you're really doing for your release package.
So I'm curious what goes into being able to switch
it up and give people so many things to think
about online.

Speaker 10 (11:25):
Uh just obviously having a base plan, having a foundation,
and then just understanding who you're going against and uh
being able to attack certain leverages at certain weak points
how thin If.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
I'm wrong, the John Giles was out there with you
rights to stay.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Didn't help to have like the receiver who's been a
lead for a year just out there a.

Speaker 9 (11:41):
Little bit, you knowing kind of what's going on. Yeah,
for sure, somebody like that that's been working their.

Speaker 10 (11:45):
Tail off, you could just show you the ropes and
show you how everything's supposed to be ran the standards.

Speaker 9 (11:50):
So having him is definitely a big plus.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Have you been here to.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Connect with any other other veteran receivers what Drake so far?

Speaker 9 (11:57):
Uh not at this moment.

Speaker 10 (11:59):
As you say, there are ways just the mini camps,
So once they get back in the building, I'm sure
we'll build a relationship in a bond and we'll start
to connect.

Speaker 8 (12:06):
I'm sure you're they're very early in the playbook and
what they're asking you to do. But is there anything
that you've seen so far with what you're gonna be
asked to do where you're like, oh, you might be
concerned that might be too complicated anything.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
That you've seen?

Speaker 10 (12:20):
Uh No, I feel like as I'm learning, i'm'a end
up being prepared for everything.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Yeah, going back to preparing.

Speaker 9 (12:26):
For this one, did you watch a lot of NFL receivers?

Speaker 2 (12:30):
And I'm curious about Stefan Diggs?

Speaker 9 (12:32):
Did you you watch a lot of him?

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Win?

Speaker 10 (12:34):
You Red Fronts and you got off like most most definitely,
you know, I mean, the NFL has always been my dream,
So in order to get there, you have to watch
people that's been there and there's done that. And Diggs
was just somebody that I always watched as a kid,
and multiple other receivers, so being able to learn from
their tools and add it.

Speaker 9 (12:50):
To my bag is just something that I do and
consistently do on a data basis.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
What's it like to go from watching am I su
just as a kid to now being on the safe team,
meeting teammates and getting to share a receiver with something
like step on things.

Speaker 10 (13:02):
Well, I'm still waiting for him to get here. I
ain't share nothing with him yet, but I feel like
once that happens, my childhood is basically complete.

Speaker 5 (13:10):
Man probably saw Steve Smith was the photo of you
and let him together or I think soon after you drafted,
and he said in the fast that you know your
game actually reminds him of himself.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Seems like high praise. Obviously a great player. What what's
it mean to you to hear that from him?

Speaker 1 (13:27):
And and what's your relationship like?

Speaker 10 (13:30):
It means a lot, honestly. You know somebody that's, like
I said, I watched when I was a kid. But
for me, I still have to com accomplish a lot
of things. Just for me to say that I've acceptance
of that a comparison and just me and him, you know,
we chopped it up here and there as the LA guy.
So just having that resemblance of a home stay and everything,
I feel like that's just good on our connection.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Do you do you bring any boy he brought to
the field terms of intensity of sports?

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Us to report your word?

Speaker 9 (13:57):
You'll find out soon. You'll find out soon.

Speaker 7 (14:00):
How you've got a priser character and your mental toughness.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
I'm curious, Caul.

Speaker 7 (14:03):
You just tell us about maybe people or experiences that
helped you get here.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
To the NFL.

Speaker 10 (14:07):
I mean, growing up where I grew up, a lot
of things aren't promised, a lot of things aren't guaranteed. Uh,
Like I say, it's a doggy dog world where I'm from,
So you gotta be able to get it and have
a chip on your shoulder and a lot of people
that have a edge and the chip on the shoulder
get to the places that they.

Speaker 9 (14:22):
Wanna get to.

Speaker 10 (14:23):
So just honestly carrying that throughout my whole life and
carrying it now, I feel like he's gonna take me
places that I really wanna go to.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Go puck, Ben, how's the uh? Excuse me, Kyle, how's
the how's the uh? Relationship coming along with that? Jake?
The quarterbacks from the games?

Speaker 9 (14:39):
Uh, we're learning as we go.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (14:41):
There's like they're fresh faces to me as I am
to them.

Speaker 10 (14:44):
So just constantly tryna build a connection and everything and
a like a relationship so we could be on the
same page on and off the field. Cause I feel
like off the field chemistry is just as much as
on the field chemistry. So once we could do that,
we'll be able to connect like snapping fingers.

Speaker 6 (14:58):
So cow hoping most to achieve is a is a
rookie in the NFL.

Speaker 9 (15:04):
Just see the field.

Speaker 10 (15:05):
Honestly, if I can see the field, i'na be happy.
So see the field and learn the playbook.

Speaker 9 (15:09):
That's all I could do.

Speaker 7 (15:10):
Break up Stacy James Washington State love you go cool the.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Thanks you good, Thanks, thank you right off. Hey you
guys doing, were you good?

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Good?

Speaker 4 (15:24):
You know there were treason wouldn't like h I've actually
never been up here, so it was I I honestly
don't know what I expect.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I expected it to be cold, but I didn't expect
it to be raining as much as it did.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
So it's it's it's been good.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
It's been good. That's what's feeling so far point here.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
You know, just trying to get acclimated to everything, to playbook,
trying to meet up with all the rookies, get everybody's names,
get familiar with the coaches, the people on staff, nutrition,
even the janitors.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Just trying to put names to faces. And it's been good.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
Jared, you ever crosspasses Will anytime in your years in
the SEC you're recruiting?

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Uh No, actually, but we did do pre draft training
uh down in First Go, Texas together, so I got
to get to know him a little bit before we
came here. So I was excited when when I got
picked here cause I knew Will would be here and
it's familiar face I get to talk to as well.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
What'd you learn about playing her? Down there?

Speaker 4 (16:22):
He's quiet, but once you start he starts oping up
a little bit, and once you get to know him
and he gets to know you, then the real wheel
comes out and he he's just a goofball.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
And you steel like twos crafts from Oh, I feel
like it will.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
It's good to get back out, put a helmet on,
get moving around, get sweating, get some chemistry with the
guys you know up front, and do some combo blocks.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Just seeing how everybody takes their steps and and and
you know, m.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
Kind of moves around and in their deal and trying
to adjust myself to how they have my guards play,
and it's just it's been fun.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
Have you studied any guard a center all the time?

Speaker 2 (17:02):
For you, I'm whatever they tell me to do, I'm
gonna do.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
So yeah, would you be open to maybe playing some garden.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
I'll be open to anything that they tell me to do.
Whatever they tell me to do, I'll go out there
and do.

Speaker 7 (17:13):
Could you tell us a little bit about your transition
from guard to center when you got through Georgia and
how much it helped you get into practice against all the.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Guys to teach or another. So switch over to guard,
switch over to center.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Towards the end of my sophomore year, and at first
it was very frustrating because you know, just never playing center,
never snapping the ball, never calling out a call or anything.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
So it was it was really stressful, you know, getting
into it.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
But after a while with especially with the help of
Cedric van Brand, he helped me a lot during that process.
He was a really good leader, really good mentor to me.
And it was fun once I realized what I could
do at center, and I was like.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
Maybe this is this is this is good? I like
this What were you doing when you were like, you know,
I was.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
I feel like I was able to just move in
space a little bit more because you know, I mean guards,
they're mainly the point of attack. Center he especially in
the four down centers got nobody in front of you,
so it's you got like a maybe like a cracked
toss or outside zone you can just open up and
sell out and run. So I feel like I do
pretty good that I say, having.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
That versatility help you kind of knowing the line now
and everybody that goes into playing the line, what was
the question.

Speaker 6 (18:19):
How much that versatility?

Speaker 4 (18:20):
How much is it helps you playing the two positions? So, oh,
it's helped me tremendously especially guard. It's like I said,
it's the point of attack. But then you go in
the center and it just kind of makes your eyes
go from this to this, so you kind of see everything.
You start to see stunts and and pressures before they come,
start to make the pressure calls before before it happens.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
So it's it's really beneficial.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Did you're if you heard from a former Georgia Center
who was also need to be center, You're.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
To see And Uh, I haven't heard from David, but
me and Ben Jones we talk a lot. He was
in he was in this offense with with Variable and
and also with the Texans, and yeah, we've we've talked
a little bit about how his rookie rooky rookie year
went and had his rookie Minnie camp with and he's
just been giving me some good words of encouragement and
did he tell you.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
What he had of advice and trying to excuse me,
take it's slow, take it day by day. Uh, you're
gonna make mistakes, Like.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
I'm thinking about a mistake that I made him practice
right now, and it's it's it's running in my head.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
But trying to just move on from it and watch
the film and just get better from it.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
What uh what happened there?

Speaker 2 (19:22):
I just I just made a mistake, made a mistake.
What did you tell you about coach Rabel? What are
you telling me about? He didn't tell me anything about Rabel,
but my first.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
Rabel's funny. Rabel is a funny guy. He's definitely a
player's coach. You know, he played in the league for
a really long time, so he knows what it's supposed
to look like, I was supposed to look like, what
the speed's supposed to be like.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
And he cares about this organization and about his players.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
And you can tell how he comes in the building
every single day, the smile on his face, how serious
and intent he is with with the with the details.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
I think is it a unseeing uh, your head coach
with a pinion during teen periods and being at centerenteen
like play linebacker vern do.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
With him in that situation where you said, what was
the question? Sorry?

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Very like what do you do as somebody you might have?

Speaker 4 (20:12):
It's really I l I love that because it shows,
like I said before, it shows you how much he
cares and how much he cares about the rookies and
how much. He cares about their development and everybody, not
just the draft of guys, but literally everybody that's a rookie.
He cares about everything and his hands on with everything.
So it's just great to see him out there actually
running around with us.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I would not.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Well had you designed your work contract either today or
what recent w what was How exciting was that experience? Oh?

Speaker 4 (20:43):
Very exciting putting the pen to the paper. But still
gotta go out here. You gotta learn to play book.
Putting pen to paper don't mean nothing, doesn't make you
a better football player. So still gotta come in here
with the same matters to every day and learn and
get and go.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
To work constant marking down the round.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
Chustomer rode here.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
I don't know why, but he reminds me so much
of my of my college coach, Stacey Errols.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
He's he's funny.

Speaker 4 (21:06):
It's some of the things he says is is really funny.
But he's a like I think he's a player's coach
as well. He just knows how to talk to the players,
he knows how to teach, teaching us how to learn
the playbook easier, putting everything in the buckets and it's
been it's been good so far.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
What were things that to you about Josh McDaniels.

Speaker 4 (21:25):
His voice, he's really loud, Like I don't wanna make
fun of him. He's like he's like a he's a
short guy. But like once he talks, you hear him,
and everybody stops and everybody listens to what he has
to say.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
And he's a great oc he's a great coach.

Speaker 7 (21:38):
Were you used to having as many offensive line coaches
as you have here? And what's obviously it's really really
but what's maybe the benefit that happened?

Speaker 4 (21:44):
A lot of guys do out. The benefit definitely is
just different perspectives, like how would you learn from this coach?
Just goes this coach while also teaching the same thing,
but just different ways to kind of do it, because
there's not just one perspective.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Everybody has a different active in a different opinion on things.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
But like at the end of the day, there's a
set of rules that you gotta go by, but there's
little tweaks and tools that you can use to make
you better at the end of the day. And just
having three, yeah, three offensive line coaches, just three different perspectives.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
So it's good, Like you're excited, you know, is it
what he thought it was going to be?

Speaker 6 (22:18):
You know, wouldn't been waiting for this for a while.
This has been everthing you thought it would be.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
And I didn't have any expectations. The only expectation I
had was it's gonna be hard. Nothing can surprise you
if you expect everything to be hard.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
So it's been. It's been difficult, especially trying to get
the playbook. Been frustrating at times.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
But you just gotta be easy on yourself, like it
is what is it day too, Like you're gonna make
mistakes early, Just relaxed day by day, try and limit
the mistakes, focus study on your own and be all right.

Speaker 5 (22:50):
Because did you meet him at Toorgos here around the Sun?

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Yeah, he came.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
I've probably talked to Ben in person maybe two or
three times. He came to practice and we just talked.
He come out there and watch practice. We've been on
zooms together right before U before we came up here.
So it's it's been good hearing him talk and how
he thinks, and also watching his film and how.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
He did it. So it's good. Thank you, Thank you guys.
