appreciate it. Guys.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
We're gonna we'll go ahead and start with questions in
the room here and then we'll possibly go to ones
that are online. So go ahead and all wait, guys,
introduce yourself.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
As you asked the question.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
I will Mark Daniels to cover the Patriots for Mass Live.
Coach Rabel told us that he got to work on
last week and there's a report out there from Pete
Tammell that you put Rabel on his butt. Just curious
on what it was like working with your working out
with your new head coach.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah, I mean it was amazing. Uh, you know, him
and some of the other staff came in and you know,
we had a great work out, got some good work in.
They taught me some some new stuff and yeah, I
mean I got him. Uh, I'm not gonna lie. I
got him on the ground. Uh. And then we had
a great lunch after a bunch of great guys. I'm
just super excited for this opportunity. Well, what was it, Sophie,
(00:57):
I reported the Patriots for ADZ Sports. I'm just curious
what it was like to hear your name called and
what it means to play for an organization like the Patriots.
I manage everything. I've played for a historic program at LSU,
and now to play for one in New England. You know,
I guess I'm lucky. But I'm just super excited and
thankful to wear that logo and on the side of
(01:20):
my helmet and across the front of my chest. It's
a complete honor and I'm just excited.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Well, Chris Brice with the Boston Globe, I'm curious. I
know that you have a relationship with keish on Booty,
but in terms of guys who are already in the
New England locker room, have you been able to connect
with any of them? And who might some of those
guys speak.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
I've had a chance to you know, I know Jacquelin
Roy as well. He was one of my teammates. Him
and Kashan Boodier, you know, the two that I know
the best. You know, I've seen some of the other
guys around the facility when I was there on my
Top thirty visit, and but you know, I'm just super
excited to get up there and meet the rest of
the guys.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
He will congratulations. Nicole Miner, how excited.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Are you to work with Drake May and ultimately to
protect him on the field.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, I'm super excited. He's a heck of a player,
a heck of a leader. Uh, and you know he's
the commander of our offense. I'm not only excited to
play with him, but you know the rest of the team.
I'm excited for the future that we have in Foxborough
and I think we got a special season coming.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
And well, congratulations.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Sam Knox with wpr I TV and Providence.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
What were your oppressions watching the Patriots growing up? Any
memories that kind of.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Stick out to you? Yeah, I mean they always used
to just dominate. Every time that I turned the TV
on and the Patriots were playing, they were dominate whoever
it was, you know, Tom Brady, Danny A. Mendola, Julian Edelman, Gronk,
all those guys just dominating throughout the years that I
was growing up. So that's all I remember is them
(02:54):
just winning.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Well, Nicole Boston Globe, when did you know that you
were gonna be Patriots?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Uh? This is where I wanted to be since the start.
Elliott Wolf came to my practice whenever I was probably
about week five of the season, and I told him
this is where I wanted to be. Uh, And you know, I.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Know it's about the play.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
I appreciating.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Their son and growing up.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
That's awesome.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
Yeah, it's an interesting thing because a lot of times
this day and age, some of the parents can get
a bad rapid some sometimes they aren't it, that's for sure.
But for the most part, you're seeing stories tonight of
love and.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Yeah. Yeah, good. So their sorry about that, No, that's
all good.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Sorry.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Well, so you were saying that Elliott game twenty of
your practices in week five and he told them you wanted.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
To be in New England. Yeah, I mean I told
him and you know, our area scout Alex Brooks, that
I wanted to be a Patriot, and that happened in
the middle of the season. I've had great interactions with,
you know, everybody throughout the process, a lot of them,
you know, private workouts, thirty visits, just being up there,
getting to meet everybody, and you know, it's just where
I want it to be, and you know, I'm just
(04:14):
super excited to get there. It will. Karen Grigave from
mass Live, if you were to describe your playing style
to the New England fan base.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
How would you describe it?
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Nasty?
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (04:29):
You know, I'm going to go out there and you
have everything. I have, every single play to you know,
protect my teammates, protect my quarterback and just put the
you know, the Patriots in the best position possible to
you know, help win games on Sundays.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
It will. Chris Mason with Mats Love, you said a
few times that New England is where you want it
to be.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Why is that? I just think that the culture and
you know, the New England Patriot logo speaks for itself.
I believe in the guys in that locker room. I
believe in the quarterback and coach of rabel Is. You
know my kind of guy. He's all ball and no
bs uh, and that's what I want to play for.
He's very hands on, he loves the players that he coaches,
(05:12):
and you know, I just want to be a part
of that. Well.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Gregor Dard from Boston Sports Journal, with all the discussion
about your arm length, whether you can play left tackle
in the league, are you entering this league with more
of a chip on your shoulder than probably normal.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
I'm just excited to, you know, get any opportunity that
you know, presents his self to you know, help the
team in any way that I can, wherever that might be.
And I'm just excited to be a patriot.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Hey will thank you for twelve sports in Rhode Island.
I don't know if you've had a chance to talk
with Coach Kelly at all. He's a New England guy.
Did he give you any tips about what to expect
in New England? And I don't know if he showed
you that New England accent. I know people pick on
him for that.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah, I mean Coach Kelly's whole his both of his
sons have been telling me that their uncle lives up
there right outside of Foxburg and he's gonna get me
set up. And coach Coach Kelly told my dad he's
gonna have to cook y'all some gumbo. So we'll see
what that's about. Mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (06:16):

time for any outside of the visits in New England up
north of the Massachusetts area. They connections up.
Speaker 1 (06:26):

I came up on my thirty visit, that was the
first time that I had been up there. That was
an awesome place. I'm super excited to get there.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
